Catch-up and Christmas Shopping

00:00:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello and welcome to today's episode of the Daily Villa Podcast as part of Global Sports Podcast Network. My name's Craig Burtwistle and I'm delighted to be joined by Dan Tilly to talk about all things Villa. How are you doing today, Dan?
00:00:22
Dan
I'm okay Craig, it seems like it's been a lifetime since we spoke to each other on the podcast. Other than that, I am knee deep in Christmas shopping and wrapping paper. um I thought I'd try and get it done slightly earlier than Christmas Eve this year.
00:00:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
Fantastic. I'm sure your ah loved ones will be very pleased to hear them.

Analysis of Villa vs Nottingham Forest Game

00:00:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
So our free game winning streak comes to a crashing halt after a loss to Nottingham Forest to the city ground. What were your initial reactions after the game, Dan?
00:00:55
Dan
Well, once I scraped myself off the ceiling and got over the amazing way that Villa managed to ah snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory, I calmed down a bit and had a look at the game again. And in in the cold light of day, Forrest deserved it. In the end, they they really did. um And they were good for the victory. um I think they just wanted it more than us.
00:01:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's fair to say, to be perfectly honest, ah I'm with you. um There's plenty of aspects of the game I could moan about, and trust me, we will.
00:01:31
Dan
o but eat Yeah.
00:01:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
So we will get into that, but I do agree. I think Forest are where they need to be our merit, to be perfectly honest. They're fourth in the league right now. They're doing well.
00:01:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
They're on a high like we were last year, right?
00:01:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
So you totally

Impact of Tyrone Mings' Absence

00:01:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
a agree. So um when the team was announced, was there any surprises for you?
00:01:53
Dan
I don't think there are any real surprises. that I felt John Duran was going to start and um it was ultimately deserved. He's proved it with another goal. I think that's five from five starts for John Duran. I suggested that Barkley might start over Tealemans when I previewed um the game with we nia but I ultimately wasn't surprised that he didn't feature from the start. Matty Cash, I thought, had deserved to stay in his right midfield area with his performance over Leipzig, so I don't think there was anything really that surprised me. How about you?
00:02:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
So on the crossover episode that I did with Nottingham Forest, I actually predicted everyone except Tyram Mings to start.
00:02:43
Dan
Mmm.
00:02:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
So I thought Calres would start. So the team that actually started the field as opposed to the team that was announced was the team that was picked. And as I say, Tyram Mings was including the starting lineup, but was then ruled out before kickoff due to an illness.
00:02:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Do you think that um that light change affected the team? at all
00:03:04
Dan
Now, funnily enough, when I did the preview with Niner, I thought Tyrone Mings was gonna start. Personally, I thought this game was tailor-made for Tyrone Mings. He's a strong physical leader, and I do think his absence slightly unsettled the team, especially with it him pulling out during the warm-up. But these lads are professionals, so I suspect they got over it quite quickly. I mean, Torres is not the most physical player, which I thought was going to be a bit of a key attribute in this game.
00:03:39
Dan
So it did help the forest forward line, um not having mings in our defense.
00:03:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
I also think when Mings plays, he he relaxes our defense, he relaxes our team more, he feels more comfortable. I wouldn't say more comfortable on the ball than Torres, because Torres is that traditional ball-playing center back, he's very good at the ball.
00:04:00
Dan
Absolutely.
00:04:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
But I feel like it's a kind of ah a sense of calm when Mings is on the field where he can organize his relationship with Kanza has been like, really successful over the years.
00:04:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
He's just wanted like the heart of the team, if you will.
00:04:17
Dan
Absolutely, I'd agree with that.
00:04:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
So I think him missing out did affect the actual game. I think we might have been stronger, but this is not, as you say, it's certainly not an insult on Torres.
00:04:25
Dan
Hmm.
00:04:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
Torres has been um a mainstay all season, had a couple of slip ups recently, but not to the point where I feel like he needs to be dropped at all.
00:04:34
Dan
Yeah. No, not at all.

Controversial Penalty Decision

00:04:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
It was a game that was littered with decisions that ah really shaped the game, to be perfectly honest. Let's let's start with the penalty claim when Morgan Rogers was brought down.
00:04:52
Dan
Well, I mean, ah to me, it it was ah it was a penalty. um I believe VAR's explanation was that the holding didn't impede Morgan Rogers. the morgan rogers um ability to play the ball, which I would suggest otherwise. I mean, I'm not a professional footballer, but if I can imagine being my left arm being held practically behind my back whilst trying to play a decisive ball, I think I would struggle. um You know, the the thing I would say as a bit of a counter to this is that Morgan did also have a bit of a handful of the forest players
00:05:35
Dan
prior to getting into the box but not nearly to the same extent. um So i do I do think it was a clear penalty and as as we know there's the old cliche goals change games and I think it would have been a ah very different result had we have got that decision go for us.
00:05:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
For me, it was a case of, I don't i think I've been in relationships that haven't held me that close. I'll be honest. I do blatantly think it was a penalty.
00:06:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think there was legitimate holding. I can't believe it wasn't even questioned as in the case of the the VIR ah should call the referee to the monitor and say, listen, have a look at this.
00:06:21
Dan
yeah, definitely.
00:06:23
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah So for me, that was a massive pivotal point in the game that I think really swayed in Forrest's favor.
00:06:27
Dan
Mm hmm.
00:06:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it was disappointing not to get that, but obviously it wasn't the end of the controversy and it wasn't the end of the issues

Emi Martinez's Exceptional Goalkeeping

00:06:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
that we had.
00:06:40
Dan
Hmm.
00:06:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
So ah we're going to go take a short break and we're going to talk more about those issues. issues
00:06:59
Dan
second
00:07:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
Welcome back and we're talking about Villa's narrow last to forest this past week. Before we talk about the goals, we have to bring up that save. Emi Martinez producing a save that was absolutely world class. What's on the save and the special talent that is Emi Martinez?
00:07:47
Dan
ah Well, that that there's a reason that we can't ease the world's number one and I think we've seen the save of the season and if I think back I can't recall um having seen a better save in my lifetime. You know, we all talk about the save that Gordon Banks made that was incredible. I think this was even better than that myself. It it must give our defensive line a great belief in themselves when they know that ME is between the sticks. And we only paid 20 million quid for him and blimey, haven't we got our money's worth out of him?
00:08:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
the only save that I can think of off the top of my head, we're about the same age, was David Seaman against Sheffield United, where he like clawed it away off the goal line.
00:08:43
Dan
Oh, that's a good shout.
00:08:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
So, but I think this one was actually harder. You watch the David Seaman one, he's had to arch his back extremely difficultly.
00:08:47
Dan
e
00:08:52
Dan
Yeah.
00:08:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah to hook that ball away but this one the ball's behind him he's kept it out the net and then also stopped the ball from falling into someone else's lap as well so it could have easily been tapped at home then as well.
00:09:02
Dan
o
00:09:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
This one I think even a quality goalkeeper like Martinez I think 99% out of 100 that goes in but
00:09:13
Dan
Yeah.
00:09:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
It shows what quality he has to be able to produce such such a wonderful save. Speaking of that save, how much of that do you think is reaction or how much do you think that is taught?
00:09:27
Dan
Well, you know, it I'm going to be a typical Libran and sit slightly on the fence and say um it's a little bit of both, but I'm going to go with mainly reaction. The taught element um is his placement during the build-up and finding himself in the right position where his reactions are able to be used.
00:09:49
Dan
I mean, I've watched it now ah poor a good 20 times in real time and in slow motion, it's amazing. But in real speed, it's just jaw-dropping. He scoops it from behind him, as you say, and gets his big right hand on it. and And as you've said, not only does he stop the ball from crossing the line,
00:10:15
Dan
he's setting himself for any follow-up shot. um You know, and the things his brain must be processing in the split second that he has to make that move is absolutely flabbergasting. It truly is an amazing zone.
00:10:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
hundred percent and it really felt like

John Duran's Performance and Fan Criticism

00:10:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
it was our day because like almost immediately after Martin and as his save we go up the other end and it's that man again John Duran on the end of McGinn's cross to head home.
00:10:38
Dan
Mmm.
00:10:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
Thoughts it's on the finish?
00:10:50
Dan
I mean, it was absolutely top draw. It reminded me very very much of the header he scored against Leicester City. It felt very much like that flick of his head and he must have some net bustles, that boy. um I mean, it's a shame that it's not the winner, to be honest.
00:11:11
Dan
In that build-up though, I must give credit to two other players um in that. Morgan Rodgers being incredibly strong and bringing that ball back in field off the touchline. And John McGinn for an absolutely delicious delivery for it.
00:11:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'm glad you said that, especially, that I thought John McGinn's cross was like, made Duran's job even easier, to be honest, because it it was like on the head of a sixpence, it was.
00:11:36
Dan
yeah
00:11:39
Dan
Yay!
00:11:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
It was a real nice, but I'm glad you said that about Rogers because there's a small dark corner in that social media of those Fickle Villa fans that really gave Rogers some stick after this past game. And I think it was really unfair. Like they really targeted Rogers and they targeted cash for their performances in that game. And I didn't see it that way.
00:12:04
Dan
No, not not at all. I thought Rogers had one of his better games for us. like I mean, OK, he wasn't on the score sheet, but he drove at defenders. He made things happen. And, you know, he he is a hell of a find. And our fickle element of our ah Villa fanbase need to calm them down a little bit, in my opinion, over that. that that I'm quite flabbergasted. You've said it. It sounds absolutely ridiculous.
00:12:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I agree and I think it's a case of one it can be some small leaf fans in in disguise for one and
00:12:40
Dan
Yeah, true.
00:12:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
And two, if you are a villa fan making that critique, I'm honestly not even sure you're watching the game.
00:12:48
Dan
No.
00:12:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
So I don't think you were invested in the game if you were watching it or you were just mad and had to blame someone because that kind of is an English mentality.
00:12:55
Dan
Yeah.
00:12:57
Dan
Indeed.
00:12:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
We ah we look at our World Cups, our Euros, our own teams.
00:13:02
Dan
Hmm.
00:13:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
There always has to be someone to blame. It can't be the fact that Forest were the better team. And we both agree that they were. ah So it it's it is a shame that they have to find that scapegoat at all times.
00:13:09
Dan
Yeah. Oh, indeed.
00:13:18
Dan
it' It just, as you say, they can't have been watching the same game as us. And I mean, you and I, as you say, we're both of similar age. We've both seen Villa through thick and thicker. And this is definitely a good point of being in a Villa fan. We shouldn't ever forget that.
00:13:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
100%. And going back to that Duran goal, that means that he's on the score sheet again. I think you said it early. It's five from five position, five starts. That's impressive form. If you were Ali Watkins, would you be fearful about your place in the starting 11?
00:13:54
Dan
It's an interesting question and I think Ollie still knows that he is the main man at Vella. The thing that I've noticed that would put me on edge if I was Ollie Watkins is I've seen it a couple of times now where he scored. He sort of mimics, John Durand mimics putting the crown on his head, and I think that I don't know if that's there to stir up a little bit with Emory, you know, to sort of let him know that, look, I am still here and I'm ready. But I think Ollie's a big enough player to to get over that. um I mean, there's a place for them both at Villa. I genuinely believe that. They're two very different strikers.
00:14:45
Dan
Olly, we know, is much better at turning into space and running behind the back line than Duran is.
00:14:56
Dan
is a chaos creator, so I wouldn't be too worried if I was Olly Watkins.
00:14:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:15:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
Because the thing is that you hit the nail and the sa on um the head there with that Chaos Creator comment for me. Because when Ali came on with 60 Minutes to Go, I just don't think we added as much energy in the game as when Duran comes on with 60 Minutes to Go.
00:15:17
Dan
No.
00:15:20
Dan
and
00:15:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't know if Ali needs more time to like warm up into a game. than Duran does for example and I mean mentally and physically there so when Duran comes on it seems like instantly like he wants the ball he's a threat early it seems like when Ollie starts a game he needs that one or two touches to even get comfortable so
00:15:36
Dan
Yeah. I- I- Yeah, I'd agree with that.
00:15:47
Dan
and And I think you pointed it out actually um in in the crossover that Forrest play quite a ah sort of mid to low block defensively.
00:16:00
Dan
They don't get drawn out.
00:16:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
Right.
00:16:02
Dan
So so there isn't that space for Ollie to run in. they This didn't feel like a game suited to Watkins and I think we suffered when we brought him on.
00:16:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah. I actually thought it was a mistake to take Duran off. I don't feel we have to make that switch at 60 minutes every single time.
00:16:16
Dan
Yeah.
00:16:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
I would have actually preferred, I mean, as we were seeking a goal, wherever which way it was going, we still needed a goal at 1-1.
00:16:30
Dan
me
00:16:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
um So I would have preferred to have actually took Rogers off at the time and I think actually have Duran and Watkins on each other enough. Recently I've got more into the point where I think they can work well together because Watkins in particular has done really well at and with assists.
00:16:50
Dan
Yeah.
00:16:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I think Duran has that ability too with his work rate.
00:16:53
Dan
Yeah.
00:16:54
Global Sports Podcast Network
and Like the goal scored against Southampton was all Duran. He just constantly badgered that defender to get the ball and lose something out of nothing.
00:17:01
Dan
yeah
00:17:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I think that was actually a mistake on Emory's part. I would have preferred to have kept Duran on the field. um I know obviously he's probably looking at like minutes played and like games to coming up and so on.
00:17:17
Global Sports Podcast Network
But I do think that was a missed opportunity.
00:17:20
Dan
No, I think you're right. And when we so talk about games coming up, we're getting to the point where, you know, we're we're nearly at Christmas. And wherever you are in the league at Christmas, is the old adage is, you're going to be there or there about at the end.

VAR and Offside Decision

00:17:38
Dan
So, you know, we want to be made. This game would have taken us into fourth.
00:17:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:17:43
Dan
So, you know, it's not one really to have been taken too lightly.
00:17:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
100% totally agree and Villa didn't remain much on the foot front for front foot for long it's easy for me to say Villa were lucky to see a goal from Chris Woods rolled out for offside by the narrowest of margins I did listen to our friends at GSPM Forest to get their opinion on it and they were very critical of this decision what do you think?
00:17:55
Dan
but
00:18:02
Dan
yeah
00:18:10
Dan
Now, I'm afraid I i i think it was offside. I mean, it might have been by a cigarette paper, but if you're offside, you're offside.
00:18:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:18:22
Dan
um Saying that, if I was a Forest fan, I'd be screaming about it. you know But it did seem that VAR took quite a long time to make that decision, which obviously means it's pretty close. But you know it's it's where they draw the lines from. And i you know I've now been watching VAR decisions for quite a while, and I still don't truly understand it. But hey, sometimes we need a little bit of fortune.
00:18:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think some people in the gantry don't understand it either. You're not on your own there. I honestly think, as you say, offside is one of those things you're off, you're off.
00:18:57
Dan
Thank heavens.
00:19:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
We've seen plenty of times that Villa have been called offside and obviously we we all believe, and I think even Forest fans believe, that they were let off with the penalty earlier on with rather
00:19:01
Dan
Yeah.
00:19:12
Dan
Yeah indeed.
00:19:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
So this for me was a no brainer. It's off, even though I understand their frustrations because when that ball is kicked, you've got to find the exact moment when that ball's kicked to the run and it's very hard to navigate, but hey, that's that's the rules we live in as well.
00:19:30
Dan
oh Absolutely.
00:19:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah The goal was not to be and Villa had a bit of a lead off to be honest But it didn't change anything about our play which i was most disappointed about Forrest was still allowed to control the tempo of the game and then with almost a carbon copy of the offside goal Wood scores again and this time with his head makes it 1-1 Do you think Villa were letting the game slip away at this point?
00:19:48
Dan
you
00:19:56
Dan
um As soon as that goal was disallowed, um I turned to my wife who was sort of dipping in and out of the game or just getting frustrated with me screaming, I suppose. And I said, well, we're going to go and lose this. this is We're going to throw this away. And we we didn't learn.
00:20:21
Dan
from from that disallow goal and we were punished. No one was near Gibbs-White when he was played through, allowing him to deliver a across. You had Consor and Torres that seemed to get caught up um with each other and Kamara was the wrong side of um the Forest player. Forest didn't let their heads drop, which would have been you know quite easy for them to do. But so so credit to them, they seem to go through the gears and we seem to slam ourselves in reverse.
00:20:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Because that was the thing, it's it's it's those games of margins. We dust ourselves off after a penalty appeal.
00:21:06
Dan
Mm.
00:21:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
We make the save by Martinez, which every forest player must be like, what in the world do we have to do to beat this keeper at this point?
00:21:13
Dan
Absolutely.
00:21:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
Then we go up the other end and we score. As we say, most teams would have folded at that point and just said, you know what, this isn't our day.
00:21:17
Dan
yeah.

Forest's Late Goal and Defensive Errors

00:21:21
Dan
yeah.
00:21:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
but Villa and Forest not being most teams, I guess, we carried on and then the final blow happened. Cash was disposed on the edge of the box. A cross came in from the right and Alanga scored the 93rd minute to finish Villa off and it was game over at 2-1. Thoughts about the goal Dan? Did you think it was a foul on Cash?
00:21:43
Dan
Well, I'm going to go one slightly a step back, if if I may, and that that whole passage of play was just absolutely disastrous. I mean, you had Carlos with a very poor ball, with Cash running away from it, which allowed for the interception to give Forrest's possession back. Conza wins it, and then fires it straight at Matty Cash, who isn't really set for it.
00:22:13
Dan
And I, okay, it was the foul on Matty Cash, but Forrest played to the whistle. All the filler defenders has had their hands up in the air screaming at the referee for almost begging for a bit of relief. But, you know, Forrest played for the play for the whistle and credit to them.
00:22:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
I agree. I do think it was a foul and I think any team that was on the end of that would be screaming for a foul.
00:22:43
Dan
Yeah.
00:22:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
But I also see from a forest point of view, he's got every right to win that ball. He's gone for it.
00:22:49
Dan
Definitely.
00:22:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
I can understand to a degree why the referee in the split second has let play play out. But I think VAR should have called that back. But at the end of the day, as you say, we didn't take advantage. We didn't play to the whistle, as you said. So it's all on us while we can see it at the end of the day.
00:23:13
Dan
Absolutely.
00:23:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
We're going to take a short break, and we're going to move on from the forest game and talk a little bit about Manchester City.

Preview of Manchester City Match

00:23:52
Global Sports Podcast Network
So as we drive away from the city ground we leave Nottingham Forest and our rearview mirror. The next stop is back to Birmingham where we take on struggling Manchester City on Saturday.
00:24:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
Do you feel down it or be Villa of old who are such a generous host that they love to end a bit of bad form for their visitors?
00:24:10
Dan
but
00:24:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
Or do you think we can pile on the agony?
00:24:14
Dan
Well, I've got two schools of thoughts on this. and the The first one is that we obviously played in the Champions League and then we had our Euro hangover against Forrest, if you believe in such things.
00:24:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm hmm.
00:24:28
Dan
Now, we traditionally win the game after that, for a good result.
00:24:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
We bounce back. Yeah. i Yeah.
00:24:37
Dan
yeah But You know, this this game feels to me like a little bit like a winner takes all, not for like the league or anything like that, but I think it's really important for both teams.
00:24:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yes.
00:24:50
Dan
And we do have a history. of allowing teams to stop the rot against us.
00:24:57
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah Yeah.
00:24:58
Dan
You know, your striker isn't scoring, come and play against Villa, he's sure to hit the back of the net. You're having a poor run of form, don't worry, you can put three or four past us.
00:25:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:25:08
Dan
There is no element, but I'm hoping we're going to continue with what seems to be the sort of run of Champions League, poor result, good result.
00:25:19
Dan
So I'm hoping for a Villa win.

Sounds right, I agree. I look at this game and I see it as a potential as a momentum changer. So whichever team I feel gets the win here, I think it's momentum going into the remainder of those December fixtures.
00:25:27
Dan
o
00:25:35
Dan
Yeah.
00:25:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think the team that ends up losing might struggle through the remainder of the month. So I'm certainly hoping Guardiola is left to his own devices scratching his face again.
00:25:48
Dan
Yeah, absolutely.
00:25:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
and so Yeah, but like, uh, it's going to be a tough one.
00:25:53
Dan
Mm.
00:25:54
Global Sports Podcast Network
Obviously we, no matter what sort of four Manchester city is, then bring in Harlan, Bernardo Silva, the likes to Villa Park. Um, the one stat that worries me more than anything is the fact that Jack Grelish has not scored for a whole year this week.
00:26:11
Dan
Wow, there you go.
00:26:12
Dan
Well, it's written in the starscrate. That's bound to happen.
00:26:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
And as you say, it's
00:26:16
Global Sports Podcast Network
He's going straight to Villa Park with that in his mind. So I really want Jack to do well, but let's hope it's after Saturday.
00:26:19
Dan
Yes, indeed, yes.
00:26:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
probably
00:26:24
Dan
That would be lovely, yes. Please don't rekindle yourra your form against us, Jack. Come on.

and please stay tuned tomorrow for our crossover episode with the city group of GSPN to dis discuss more about the visit to Villa Park of Guardiola and his men.

Potential Team Changes for Manchester City Match

00:26:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
But before we go Dan, do you expect any changes for the city game? On the injuries front, we have Bailey still out and Ramsey, but that's it. Do you expect Cash to be given another opportunity at right midfield after not having one of his best games against his old club? Also do you expect Duran or Watkins to start?
00:27:02
Dan
So and dealing with MatiCache first, it would be my preference to pull him back into his normal position at right back and have Konser back in his natural position at centre of defence. That's my view. um And then maybe go with someone like Philogene down the right. So that's one statement. I think Watkins is going to start against um the citizens.
00:27:33
Dan
um You know, I watched ah ah the highlight reel for Man City vs Man United and Man City do leave space at the back. They do play a high line. So this is the game for Watkins to exploit that with his swift turn and his pace. I think we can hurt them. But although, you know, they're on a poor run of form, they are like a wounded beast. And if we don't give them the respect,
00:28:04
Dan
then we'll be punished. But I do think we can get a positive result from from this game.

I agree, and I kind of hope, um obviously, I haven't heard that Mingz is still suffering with that illness or anything, but I would really like to see a villa evolve with Kash, Kanza, Mingz, and Dean, and the backline. I'd be very happy to see that at the weekend. I think Philogene's a good shout to go into on the right, um but I also wouldn't be opposed, and this seems like a strange game to do it, but like, if McGinn shifted to the right,
00:28:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
and have Rogers out on the left and then go with Duran and Watkins up top.
00:28:40
Dan
Mm.
00:28:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think it's a real statement ah to go out there and try and play.
00:28:45
Dan
Yeah. Yeah.
00:28:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
it I don't think our manager will look to do that. I just think that's kind of something in the back of my deprived head, if you will.
00:29:01
Dan
and ah that I wouldn't have described this as a deprived head, um but I think that that is some real intent that you're showing there.
00:29:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
good
00:29:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
Mm hmm.
00:29:12
Dan
And if we lined up that way, um I don't think it would be a, what are you doing, Unai? But, oh, blimey, Unai, you're going for this.
00:29:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's brave, right?
00:29:23
Dan
and Yeah. and i don't I don't think it would be a bad shout. I think it would it potentially would put Sissy on the back foot. um So you never know.
00:29:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
You never know, indeed. And we'll watch this space, right?
