Speaker: In a two quarterback in super flex league, the quarterback position can make or break your entire draft. Today, we're putting those quarterbacks in five tiers who you must have, who you can wait on and who the market has completely wrong.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, we got a fire episode. I started off with a very, very central introduction. Hope you guys like that. And if you're still listening, please, please pull up a chair. Get comfortable.
Speaker: Because what's on the docket this week are QB tiers. And in a two-quarterback league, especially in a two-quarterback fantasy-focused football podcast like ours, the Bush League Huddle Fantasy Podcast, I mean, this episode is probably going to be one of the most important episodes of the entire draft season.
Speaker: So in a standard league, you can wait on a quarterback, right? Like, i' I've drafted a quarterback in the 10th round, the 11th round. Like, it's it's really not a big deal at all. But in a two quarterback of Superflex League, like you, you can't wait that long. Like you, you just can't. The runs happen fast.
Speaker: They happen soon. They happen quick and tears matter. And if you're caught without a volatile, a viable second starter, you're in trouble every single week.

Speaker: My goodness. Anyways, so yeah, five tiers. One liner per player, plenty of disagreement. Nak, take it away with Tier 1. Thank you, Fab. Yes, the Tier 1. I believe we were all pretty much in unison on this one, except for one QB. But that number one overall QB, you know who it is. It's Josh Allen. I believe it's the fifth year in a row now that he's going be consensus number one on the board. 579 rushing yards last year, rushing touchdowns.
Speaker: QB won in three of the last four years. He's the no-brainer number one QB here. Then at number two, we've got Lamar Jackson. Bushy-Cluggo huddle consensus was number two. Mark it QB two. Finished QB 20 in 2025, but only played 13 games last season. So a healthy Lamar is definitely a completely different player.
Speaker: Then you've got Mr. Drake May at number three. So finished the year last year, actually, as the number three in fantasy. or Almost 4,400 passing yards, 31 TDs.
Speaker: And in year two, QB3 finish. So um keep an eye out for that. Fab actually has him at second overall. This is where we deferred. And then we all had Mr. Joe Burrow.
Speaker: At number four, finished obviously QB 29 in 2025, but he missed most of last season. A healthy Burrow is a top tier pick and slam dunk for Locke for sure in in a two QB league.
Speaker: So Raj actually has Allen completely alone in tier one. So Jackson, May and Burrow all drop down to a tier two. Fab, is Raj onto something or is he completely wrong here?
Speaker: No, Roger, if anything were completely wrong, i when I saw the tears after, i was I was like, yeah, that makes sense. I would put, he deserves to be in a class of his own, Mr. Joshua Allen, Haley Steinfeld's husband. He deserves to be very much in a class of his own and in a tier of his own.
Speaker: He's finished as QB1 in four of the last five years. not QB like, oh, top 12. No, no. Like the number one quarterback in fantasy in four of the last five years. There's nothing more that needs to be said. He deserves to be in a tier of his own.
Speaker: Highest floor, highest ceiling, most consistent. Yeah. In a two-quarterback league... Yeah, that too. Honestly, a great call, Knack. Yeah, absolutely. um He deserves to be number one overall in your draft in a two-quarterback league. And if you're not drafting him and you're first overall in Superflex and quarterback in two-quarterback league, then and like hand in your fantasy football card. Honestly. For real? Yeah, it's the easiest decision you'll ever make in your life. it's Might as well be autodrafted.
Speaker: He's the funnest fantasy player I think I've owned outside of Antonio Brown. I never had the pleasure. or Personally. Yeah. This, this, yeah.
Speaker: Just for the, the, the gifs too. Just for the gifs. those each vibe Those are the, the best all season, but no. I'm shaking my pelvis like antonio Brown. Like he did i know you guys can't see. He's a hisnack na know i'm talking k knocking know the dance i'm talking but yeah yeah we know such your heart he's he's a,
Speaker: Golfer, yeah, great golfer. It's just theses fun these fun times. and There's that guy who's holding his there's that guy who's like holding him, his like butt or his like you know his legs. like oh his practice golfing he's He's practicing learning you how to golf. And i think Brandon Bean was like, you didn't see it, Fab? Some guy's like holding him like to try to like get his golf swing or his golf mechanism. He's holding his glutes. And Brandon Bean, the GM of the of the Bills, was like, there's a lot of people in Buffalo who'd pay to be that guy to hold to hold Josh Allen's glutes and legs. I'm dead. Get in line, everybody. get Exactly. While we're still on, while we're still on Alan, Raj, play baby devil's advocate. Give me, give me a reason, a real reason he doesn't finish QB1 again.
Speaker: Yeah, it's really hard, but um Bills were fourth in red zone rush attempts last year, and you'd think maybe with DJ Moore coming on, DJ Moore obviously is probably going to be the best patch catcher that the Bills i have had since Stephon Diggs.
Speaker: Big-time run-after-catch guy, so you'd think maybe his passing ceiling increases. He's going to turn 30, or if he hasn't turned 30 already, Josh Allen will be playing at the age of 30 this season. So you think maybe do they want to take less hits on him, less of those tush-pushes, less of those, you know, fourth and ones on the goal line, on the two-yard line, and they have two very capable backs in James Cook and Ray Davis, James Cook, who's had back-to-back touchdowns.
Speaker: amazing season. So that's the only thing I could think of. And and if we look at the other guys in the tier, right, like Lamar Jackson, you know, he's almost like every other year, he has a very good bounce back season that could easily happen with a new offensive coordinator. Drake May is Drake May. You know, I don't think there's going to be like a third year slump. And then Joe Burrows on in even year.
Speaker: The curse of the Joe Burrow odd year is it's going to skip, right? So every, every even year, Joe Burrow has an absolutely amazing season. but Alan's the king of the castle, man. it's It's like you said, Fab, like if you don't draft him as the first QB, you're just a hater basically. So the devil's advocate is there, but it's it's it's it's very unlikely to happen, I think.
Speaker: I have to definitely agree with you. That was tier one, folks. That was pretty ah pretty easy and self-explanatory, but we're going to move on with tier two and I will give it to Fab.
Speaker: Thanks, Nick. Yeah. Tier two is a lot more interesting. Um, there's he the no, just, it's the, you did a great job, but no, it's just, there's a lot more polarizing characters over here. So like tier two locked in your QB two anchors in a two quarterback league. These are the players that really win or lose your draft.
Speaker: I'm just going to rapid fire them. So Caleb Williams, we have him ranked consensus five. The market has him as QB eight. He finished number eight quarterback in 2025. So this is year two in Ben Johnson's ah offense with an elite O-line.
Speaker: The market might still be slipping and the market might still be sleeping on him in my opinion. Jalen Hurts, Mr. Tushpush himself. So he finished as a composite ranking for us, was the sixth overall. The market has him as QB six as well. He finished as number nine in 2025.
Speaker: But AJ Brown gone, a new OC again. More pressure on his arm than ever before. And we all know how much he likes to throw for those 4,500-yard seasons.
Speaker: Sorry. This might be the year. That's going to have to be or who's he throwing to, but it's different guy. We're getting it. We're going to get into that. Justin Herbert. We haven't ranked as number seven. The market has him as ranked as QB nine. He finished 10th overall in 2025.
Speaker: um Josh McDonald's arrives as a new head coach. The lab of Conkey's there. mardael Sorry, Mike, and down excuse me. Apologies. Um, I'm iron Hampton around the Gadsden still has elite weapons around him and the scheme for the first time. And not probably no more excuses. Assuming he stays healthy like everybody else.
Speaker: Dak Prescott. We have him ranked consensus eight. The market has him as QB 10. He finished as number five in 2025 overall. Well, quarterbacks, excuse me. Number one fantasy environment per draft sharks. 4,552 passing yards, 30 touchdowns.
Speaker: Knack, Mr. Dallas Cowboy fan hater himself has him as ranked as number five overall amongst quarterbacks. Raj has him down to 10 overall.
Speaker: Jaden Daniels, consentively, we have him as number nine. The Mark and Asma is QB5. He finished his 34 last year in 2025, but he was obviously injured. He only played seven games. Mark and Asma is QB5, which I think there's a bit of a concern there, especially from an injury standpoint, durability standpoint, offensive scheme around him as well. We mentioned that already in the last few episodes.
Speaker: ah We're not really sure how that offense is going to look. It's going interesting. Trevor Lawrence, man. Mr. Sunshine. uh we haven't ranked this 10th consensus uh mark emasimus qb 10 qb 11 he finished his number four last year in 2025 the guy was on fire um he he went off i think towards the the season he just got into liam cohen's rhythm finished 4 000 passing yards 29 touchdowns nine rushing tds he was really using his legs last year so you know he
Speaker: Cohen's ah offense is elite, and we might see a little bit more of that again this year. And Paddy Mahomes. Consensus, a Bush League huddle is 11. The market has him as quarterback 13. He finished as quarterback 11 in 2025, quietly becoming a game manager.
Speaker: We've mentioned this already a few times. And he's coming back from a serious knee injury. I am the only one who has actually dropped him out of tier two and put him into tier three. I'm ranked 15 when Roger Knack have him at 12 and 11, respectively.
Speaker: So we're talking about Mr. Jalen Hurts. Fantastic. So Hurts is going as right now market cu quarterback number six. AJ Brown is gone and so are his books. There's a new OC to go along with the with him right now.
Speaker: So I guess are you buying or fading that on Jalen Hurts? Yeah, I'm going to say I'm fading at the cost. QB6, like I like Hurts as a fantasy quarterback, but QB6, you're really paying close to his ceiling. And as you mentioned, losing AJ Brown is is really a significant downgrade.
Speaker: um And I know, look, with another another new offensive coordinator, what is that, like number nine in the last 10 years of his life that he's got a new offensive coordinator? Yeah, something that. So there's definitely more variables than than people are acknowledging. And look, Hertz's ability gives him one of the safest floors in fantasy for sure, but I don't think his passing efficiency or touchdown upside will match his his previous seasons.
Speaker: And I'd rather wait a round or two and take like a Caleb Williams or a Justin Herberts, who I think have similar upsides, but but at a better price. Yeah, I like that call about waiting around a little bit because there is definitely, in my opinion, I agree with you fully, a lack of value of Jalen Hurts at that price. You're going to have to really hope that he gets his 15 rushing touchdowns with the tush push from the salvage that because he's not necessarily known for checking the ball downfield all that much, right? The guy's never broken 4,000 yards passing.
Speaker: And speaking of value, Dak finished as number five last year. 4,500 yards, 30 touchdowns, number one fancy environment, like we mentioned before, and somehow is still the market quarterback 10.
Speaker: Raj, is he the most undervalued quarterback on the board? In theory, yes. I have some concerns a little bit similar to the Joe Burrow thing. And again, these are you know not scientific stats we're talking about, but Dak Prescott has never had really, over the last at least six years, hasn't had...
Speaker: good back-to-back seasons right there's always been an injury after a really really good season whether it's 2005 2004 2005 2004 he was yards touchdowns he moved to and tds as you said fat and even before that 2019 to 2020. So that always concerns me, that ability for Dak Prescott to have really good back-to-back seasons. And there's the fact that if you look at all of these guys here, they can all they all have really good rushing upside, even Patrick Mahomes, right? The dual threat ability of Dak Prescott has been kind of gone since he had that really bad and gruesome ankle injury. I think it was three, four years ago. So
Speaker: In theory, yes, he's definitely undervalued. It's a very good offense. As you said, DraftSharks has that as the best environment in the league. CeeDee Lamb should be back.
Speaker: We have George Pickens. We have Javante Williams, who was a really big revelation as well at the running back position. um But if I'm pressed for it, I think I would still go maybe Jaden down. I had Jaden Daniels just above Dak Prescott by one spot. I think that rushing upside. And if you could get Jaden Daniels at a bit better cost, I like that upside factor where you could get guys like Dak Prescott in the later tiers, which we're going to talk about afterwards.
Speaker: That's so funny that because of an injury scare that you have for Dak Prescott, you'd rather go Jaden Daniels. Because of it's because of a lot. No, but that's look fair point, but it's because of the lack of rushing upside. And I agree. There's Dak Prescott's littered into three, as we're going to see.
Speaker: Yes. Yeah, that's a great point. That's a good point. There's three or four guys. I don't want it. Yeah, i don't want to. But I just want to know that quickly. You had that Prescott as five. Why did you have him so high?
Speaker: Exactly how draft card sharks looks at it. You you mentioned it CD lamb on one side, you've got pickings on the other side. You've got Javante Williams in the backfield. You have that rookie. They have Jaden Jordan, Jordan blue that didn't play much last year, but he's going to come along in his second year. Jaden, you saw Ferguson who's really good at the tight end position. Like they have literal weapons everywhere. Yes. one hundred percent. He's got to stay healthy, but you could say that about every single QB on the board and,
Speaker: Finished QB5 last year. 4,500 yards, 30 touchdowns. like I think and and he he he had CeeDee Lamb, who was hurt for a little bit of the of the season. I mean, healthy Pickens and Lamb all year, Ferguson, Javante.
Speaker: I think he could even push for 5,000 yards and and close to 40 touchdowns this year. They have the offense. I don't disagree with that. I really, really don't. it's it's It's an offense you want to be a part of. And I would not be shying away from having Dak as my QB1 on my team. I really, really wouldn't.
Speaker: But anyways, that's core that's Tier 2, which is super solid quarterback 2, potentially quarterback 1 we're talking about over here. now we're going to jump into Tier 3, Roger, if you don't mind. Yes.
Speaker: Yeah, so tier three, this is the solid two QB tier. This is viable two QB starters with real upside. So you know if you miss these in the in the middle rounds, you're you're left scrambling. So at the composite QB 12 for Bush League, we have Brock Purdy. Mark had him as QB 14. He finished QB 24 and 20, 25. So obviously he missed most of last season, but he averaged 22 points per game in nine games. He has Evan. Mike Evans is now wide receiver. Sounds like Kittle will be back.
Speaker: 40 touchdowns is a real possibility. Fab, you had him at tier two and nobody else did. And then at a Bushley Caudill composite QB 13, we have Matthew Stafford. Markham has, Markham has him at QB 12. He, he was the QB two last year. A lot of people are still sleeping on him. Uh, 4,700 yards, 46 touchdowns. Yes, there was a clear campaign for MVP, but still those stats matter. Uh, he's a pre-pocket pastor. So there obviously there's no rushing upside similar to Dak Prescott. At QB 14, we have Bo Nix. Bo Nix is QB 15 in market, finished QB 7. Hard to believe he was finished QB 7 2025. 3,900 yards, 356 rushing yards, elite rushing floor for a pocket passer. But there's just something about Nix that I can't get there with him as a bona fide QB 1.
Speaker: At QB 15 composite for Bush League huddle, we have Jared Goff. Mark had him at QB 16. He finished QB 6 in 2025. 4,500 yards, touchdowns. This is a top four ecosystem, even with another new coordinat coordinator. NAC, you had him at QB 11 in your rankings. Nobody else had him higher. Pure pocket pass again, no rushing upside, similar to Dak Prescott and Matthew Stafford.
Speaker: Can I just interject two seconds? Of course. Now we're talking about three pure pocket passers that we mentioned that finished top six in fantasy last year. just Just saying. Absolutely. Stafford two, Goff six, and Dak at five. So this is where I'm not worried for these guys.
Speaker: Yeah, and that's a good segue to Jackson Dart, who is our QB 16. Market has him as QB 7 quite high. He finished as the QB 14 in 2025. Nine rushing TDs, 19 points per game. There's a lot of upside with Jackson Dart.
Speaker: Obviously, the concussion and injury history are a real concern, as is the fact that Malik Neighbors may start the season either on the PUP or hampered considerably.
Speaker: At QB 17 consensus, we have Baker Mayfield. The market has him as QB 20, Fabs Baker Mayfield. He finished at QB 12 2025 with a pretty injury riddled season. Mike Evans is gone. However, there's a new OC in Zach Robinson.
Speaker: He needs to step up in a target rich environment and he's also vying for a new contract. Rounding it out, we have Kyler Murray at QB 18. Just five games last season, now throwing to Justin Jefferson under Kevin O'Connell.
Speaker: I have him as consensus 22 in my rankings. We have bush we have Jordan Love at QB 19. Markit has him as QB 18 and finished as the QB 16 in 2025. So pretty flat all around the board. The offensive line has some concerns, but he he has he has the ability to beat elite when healthy. However, he's kind of tied to his play caller and the weapons around him.
Speaker: And then rounding out and finalizing this tier is Sam Darnold. He was QB 20 in our composite rankings. Market has him as QB 22, and he finished as the QB number 13 in 2025.
Speaker: Just a che a shy shy over 4,000 yards, 25 touchdowns. i think he was quietly one of the most reliable quarterbacks in 2025, but obviously he's still seeing some disrespect here. So if you go back and they thank great segue, NAC, with regards to Stafford and Goff, both pure pocket passers, lack of rushing upside. Stafford finished as the QB2 last year, as we mentioned. Goff had 34 touchdowns.
Speaker: We have them as Bushley Cuddle 13 and 15, and the market has them at QB 12 and 16, respectively. Fab, which one do you find is a bigger steal?
Speaker: It's floor versus upside on this question, in my opinion. Jared Goff has a very, very, very high floor. Very high. He's finished as quarterback eight, seven, six in the last three years, quarterback 10 the year before that. So in the last four years, he's been quarterback 10 or better.
Speaker: And not by like just barely, like he's been quarterback 10 or better. Stafford, we was he was um MVP last year. he finished as quarterback two.
Speaker: He was on fire. He was spamming Devante Adams the whole time for those one-yard touchdowns, which, you know, worked to his benefit. And I think he has that ceiling to hit another top five plateau.
Speaker: So if you want to look to get a top five quarterback this late in draft, then you want to look for Matthew Stafford. But if you want, and the reason why I say that Stafford has more a ceiling than Goff too, is that Stafford also, he's had those seasons where he finished outside the top 10.
Speaker: <unk> He's finished outside the top 15 very recently as well. But the offensive ecosystem that exists with the LA Rams right now with the Vontay Adams, with Pukunukuo, with Blake Corum, who's coming up as a running back too, with obviously Karen Williams and whoever they want to put a tight end, it really doesn't matter. Stafford has that opportunity to hit another, hit the same gear he did last year, finish as a top five quarterback for sure.
Speaker: But Goff, it's a guarantee he'll be a top 10. It's a guarantee. So it depends on what you want to chase. In my opinion, me, If this is my quarterback too.
Speaker: I'm drafting Jared Goff because for me, I've already swung for the fences with my quarterback one. I want someone safe as my quarterback two. Jared Goff, it doesn't get much safer. We mentioned Sam Darnold. I agree as well. But Jared Goff, it doesn't get much safer from a ceiling upside, from a floor upside, from a durability upside. The guys played every single game in the last four years, knock on wood. like it's it's something that it's It's something to really He gets overlooked, Jared Goff, I feel. like No one talks about him as much as he should. And the guy's, he's good, man. He's good. Give him his flowers. Top 10 every single year for the last four years. Let's go.
Speaker: Yeah, I would agree with that. I think the age factor leans me towards golf as well. Very true. We forget that Matthew Stafford was pretty much contemplating retirement last year.
Speaker: Was it maybe because he was almost traded to the Giants? Maybe. But I believe he was getting shots to his back just to get him ready during the preseason or during the offseason, right? So there's always a risk of a kind of you know, digression or a regression with regards to Matthew Stafford's stats, but I would agree. Goff, the younger, the younger player and, you know, either way, both of them have very good ecosystems and very solid floors. yeah if If you look at it on the flip side with regards to maybe, you know, ah a lower floor, but much higher seat ceiling, Jackson Dart finished number 14 last season. The market has him at QB seven. As we mentioned, we have him as the Bushley Cuddles QB 16.
Speaker: So a five round gap. Nak, Who has it right market or us? Right. We have a right, in my opinion. I like i like Dart's long-term upside, but a QB7, kind of similar to Hurts, is just just too rich for B this year.
Speaker: i mean, he he did show plenty of promise as a rookie, but he's still entering just the second season with a new coaching staff and has several areas of his game to clean up, particularly the pocket discipline and protecting himself. We mentioned that he is injury-prone and tends to go rogue.
Speaker: um In a 2QB league, I'd much rather build around proven producers like we just mentioned. Guys like Goff, Stafford, even even Purdy in in that range. They offer similar, or even higher 2026 production um with ah a much safer floor, I would say.
Speaker: so Dart absolutely has that top 8 upside because his rushing ability, but you're drafting him near his ceiling at QB7. So I'd rather someone else pay for that price and take him and You know, if he falls to me into that QB 13, 16 range, that's where my risk finally matches my reward. And that's where I would grab him.
Speaker: Dart is a kind of sophomore slum candidates for me. Like I, I, I, I don't know, I don't know how you feel about it. And we're both giants fans, but he feels like a big sophomore slum candidate.
Speaker: You gotta keep yourself healthy. You gotta avoid concussions. No, no, man no Malik neighbors. There has, there's a big potential for it to be a, well, look, I'm not, going talk about W writer, see, retiers in a few weeks. I'm not touching Malik neighbors at all, but I think more so. not going to be a hundred percent healthy guys. Like yeah no no whether he plays or not. Right.
Speaker: Yeah. Also, like we we have yet to see and read the tea leaves on this offense. It's just, it's not even day one of training camp yet. I think this will be more of a running offense with the running backs and less with the quarterback.
Speaker: I think Brian Dable is trying to save his job and Brian Dable is known for using his quarterbacks as battering rams as he did with Josh Allen, as he did with Daniel Jones, as he did with Jackson Dart. I don't think they're going to do that with da Jackson Dart, which I think neuters a little bit his... his rushing ceiling. um So we're going to move on to tier four. This is back to knack now, I believe.
Speaker: Yes. Yes. Thanks Raj. These are the streamable options. So the ones you most likely hold on your bench as the QB three. So they're definitely roster worthy in two QB leagues, but very matchup dependent.
Speaker: And you got to know the situation before you start them. So I'll go through them here. We have a, first we have Tyler show or shut. and Bushy Cotto has a 21. Yeah, we'll get we'll get there. We'll get there. Market has him at 21, finished QB 26 in 2025. QB 4 in points per game, though, from week 13 on last season. So definitely high upper, ah high tempo offense is a perfect fit for him. And it's definitely one of the offenses to watch this season.
Speaker: Then we have CJ Stroud. Bushli Khado has him at 22, Market at 24, and he finished 2025 as QB21. So the O-line was restructured, as we mentioned a few weeks back, Elite Weapons, and Raj actually moves him up to Tier 3, so the biggest gap in this tier.
Speaker: Up next, we've got Malik Willis, Bushli Khado, 23, Market has him as QB19, finished No. 45 in 25, obviously was a backup last season, now the starter in Miami, but No offensive line, no McDaniels and no wide receivers. Not a great recipe for success.
Speaker: Up next, we've got Cam Ward. the Bushy Cuddle has him at 24, the market at 27. Finished as number 22 in his rookie season. Had just under 3,200 yards with without really any weapons. And now he's got Tate and Robinson arriving.
Speaker: We've got Daniel Jones. Bush League has him at 25. The market has him at 26. Finished QB 17 in 2025. He was just cleared for camp, but durability coming off an Achilles is definitely a real concern.
Speaker: Next up, we've got Bryce Young. Bush League has him at 26. The market 25. Finished and twenty twenty five um
Speaker: No, no. QB25, that was his best year of his career, I believe. um But we're still looking for that something extra, I believe, in um in Bryce Young.
Speaker: We've got ah Jacoby Brissett. Bush League has him at 27. Markit has him at 31. Finished 25. QB 15 last year. So cubi QB 7 over his last 12 starts, top 12 in 10 of them.
Speaker: ah Cardinals opponents had a 55% percentage excuse me of negative game scripts, ah meaning massive passing game volume. So he's definitely a streaky streamer. i actually had him at the end of last year and kind of caught that wave and benched Jordan Love actually for him a lot along the latter part of the season. So something something to keep an eye on.
Speaker: Up next, we've got Aaron Rodgers. Bushy Cuddle has him at 28. Markett has him at 28. Finished QB 19 in 2025. 42, will be 43. Reunited with mccary McCarthy, who um he he was soured on. Lois Adot to all qualified QBs last season. zero Definitely zero rushing upside.
Speaker: And finished QB 28 per game despite playing all 16 games last season. think he's going to be 43 season. Good for him. Up next, we've got Tua Tagovailoa. Bushikado has him at 29. The Market at 34. Finished number 25 in 2025.
Speaker: Penix has not been cleared yet, so Tua is still competing for the job. But 2023 Tua, lest we forget, had 4,600 yards, 8.3 yards per attempt.
Speaker: um And Stefanski's offense could be a boom play. So keep an out for Tua. Next, we've got Geno Smith. Bushley Chasm at 30. I think finished twenty number 23 last year, I believe.
Speaker: ah Frank Wright as a play caller and Jess ecosystem system is probably one of the worst in footballs right now. So not a great um not a great season upcoming, I feel, for Geno Smith.
Speaker: And then rounding out... the The last two here, Kirk Cousins, we have him at 31, finished number 35 in 2025. So he's going to be the bridge until Mendoza takes over, most likely somewhere along that 8 to 10 games, I would say. 6.4 yards per attempt last season, worse since 2023, and I haven't actually dropped to Tier 5.
Speaker: And then last but not least, we've got Michael Penix Jr. So we have him at 33. The market also has him at 33 and finished 33 in 2025. 20CL, of course, in week 11, targeting week one, but definitely not cleared as of yet.
Speaker: And Tua did get signed, as we mentioned, to compete. And Stefanski splitting reps. London pits Bichon around him. If healthy, could be a little boost. And Ward, so we mentioned Ward finished as the number QB 22 last season. So the market has him as QB 27.
Speaker: We have him as 24.
Speaker: As I mentioned, 3,200 yards as a rookie with not a lot of weapons and some real weapons arriving this year. Fab, is he the biggest steal of this tier? No.
Speaker: Can I say no? Is that okay? No. I don't think he's the biggest steal of this tier. The biggest steal of this tier. If anything, Cam Ward, and this is no knock on Cam Ward at all because I do think he's a fantastic talent. I'm even slightly fading him, even at his current ADP. I'm not sure I want to invest right now in the Tennessee ah offense.
Speaker: um I do like Wanda Robinson. um i do like Carnell Tate. I just don't know how this ah how he's going to fare with Brian Dable as an OC, especially if the rushing upside isn't there.
Speaker: So that's why I'm a little bit concerned from... from a Cam Ward perspective. And I know this is your quarterback three that you're drafting at this spot over here in this tier.
Speaker: You do want to aim for a little bit of upside. I don't think you get some upside in Cam Ward. I wouldn't even be surprised if he does regress a little bit in 2026, unfortunately. But like I mentioned, if you are chasing upside, the biggest upside, in my opinion, is Tua.
Speaker: For the price that you're paying for him in the offense that he's in right now with the new coach, Michael Penix is not sniffing a quarterback job on this team. They took two of for cheap. He's going to start.
Speaker: I think he's going to play relatively well. I think there's going to be an avenue for fantasy football success at his current market price. This guy's going for, he's going as QB 34. We're talking about a guy that could be starting for you in a two quarterback league or at the very least at a streamer position.
Speaker: And I think there is some really serious upside here for Tua in the with the Falcons. I really do also like playing a dome. The weapons around him are very good. Like there's a lot of things to like. The offense isn't really changing all that much. You go from one left hand quarterback to another left hand quarterback.
Speaker: So I think there's there's more to like here than what's being said. An honorable mention to Jacoby Brissett. The fact that he signed a contract right now, he's another one to that. There's serious upside there.
Speaker: The offense is a little bit more concerning to me than other other people in in in this tier. But, Nak, you said it. like You caught the wave last year, and there's no reason to believe that he won't be able to outbeat his his ranking of quarterback 31. rather have those two guys Yeah, I definitely agree with your take. And I was actually reading today that I know it's early days, but Carson Beck is having some accuracy issues early on in camp. So I'm not sure he's going to beat out Brissett. And obviously, if they if they did up his contract and pay him that one year, Brissett can be penciled in as the starter for Arizona. He has a lot of, sorry to cut you off, he has a lot of incentives built into his contract and it can hit like $25 million, dollars which is
Speaker: it's It's low for a starting quarterback, but it's still money. so
Speaker: And an interesting one here. with I know Willis was a backup last season, but now he gets to be the starter in Miami. But as you mentioned, no line, no McDaniels, and no wide receivers. Marcus still has him as QB 19, however.
Speaker: Raj, any world where he outperforms that? Yeah, I know we're poo-pooing on the Dolphins ecosystem and off offensive weapons and fantasy viability, but the rushing stats for QB are the great equalizer. And if you look at his six career NFL starts, he's averaged about 45 rushing yards per game. That would pace out to about 700 yards in a 17-game season and about 9 to 10 touchdowns. So obviously that's like pacing and best-case scenario, but I think there's... this There's a possibility that could happen, right? The offensive line we saw is really, really banged up. So there's a lot of banged up and and not young either. Sorry, not good either. And there's a lot of ability for him to scramble and, you know, get out of rushes. and He's going be pressured a lot and there's not a lot of weapons for him, right? So I think there's a lot, a big opportunity for him to use his legs.
Speaker: If you look at like the cost QB 19, right? Or even we have him as consensus QB 24. If you look at 700 rushing yards, his projected 3,100 passing yards, that could easily, easily be be a top 12 finish as a QB. So think there's a rule that happens. Is going to look great? No. Are you going to worry some weeks?
Speaker: Yes. But I think the ability is is there and they're going to trail a lot. So I think it's it's it's a pretty decent price to pay, I would say, for for Mike Willis in this tier. i mean Honestly, great. Great. I definitely agree with everything you you just said. I'm not a huge fan at the moment, but definitely taking all that information into consideration now, it's when you put it that way, it it does look a little bit better than did on paper. I see Fab shaking his head at it. Look, Fab.
Speaker: Like Bryce Young, really? Like Shuck is the only guy and maybe Stroud, I would say, look, go for those guys. They're going to be safer. Yeah. But i I like the rushing upside that Willis has where there's a potential for a 700, 800 yards there.
Speaker: Yes. Yes, I like that. but this is This is a coin flip of a player, in my opinion. This is this is li this is the most boomer bust player that we're going to be talking about all season.
Speaker: And this is this is Anthony Richardson-esque, in my opinion. You know what I mean? Like where it's... it's So that's that's why I'm shaking my head. It's like I want no part of this. I want no. But then again, to your point, Raj, you get him at a super deep discount. Hey, I'll keep yeah. for Yeah. three four i'll ill I'll pay QB4 money for this. No problem. hundred percent No problem.
Speaker: That will do it for tier four. We will end it off with fab going over tier five. which which is where Malik Willis should be because this is QB4 territory here.
Speaker: at least At least in my books it is. and No disrespect, Malik, if you're listening in front of the podcast. so this is the deep roster. This is ah in a two-quarterback league. We're talking about this is like depth only. So you're not starting these guys unless you are desperate, unless you have nobody else, unless everybody's injured and you made horrible decisions.
Speaker: So we got Fernando Mendoza, ah rookie Phenom, expectedly. ah We have him ranked consensus as a quarterback 32. The market has him as quarterback 23.
Speaker: How? Anyways, we the Raiders situation is still completely unresolved. We're even sure if he's starting. We don't know what the situation is right now, so that's that. And then you have the Browns quarterbacks. Shadir Sanders, we have him ranked as 34. Mark Asma is 29.
Speaker: And Deshaun Watson, we have ranked as 35. And the market has him undrafted. So ah currently, it's a Browns quarterback battle with Shadir versus Deshaun Watson.
Speaker: Watson is coming off an Achilles, but Cleveland is still paying him a massive contract. Shadir is still TBD on what he actually has. This is the year 2026, and it's a quarterback battle between Shooter Sanders and Deshaun Watson for the Cleveland Browns. That's all we're goingnna say about that. um J.J. McCarthy.
Speaker: Yeah. so yeah J.J. McCarthy. um I'm so happy the Giants drafted Neighbors instead of him. Bush League, how do I have him as ranked 36th consensibly? Whatever.
Speaker: I can't talk anymore. The market has QB 30. He finishes 28th in 2025. Kyler Murray is a starter in Minnesota, period. Yeah, I'm sorry. It's a guy that dynasty stash. He I'm sorry and then retire. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. honestly So this is a quick mention. We're not talking about these guys. These are emergency options in a two-quarterback league only. You know what they are. Now let's talk about who the market has completely wrong.
Speaker: So for a closing segment, one quarterback, that we're each going to choosing one player, buyer fade, that the market has is completely wrong. So name, gap, conviction, really that's it. I'm going to kick us off.
Speaker: My guy I think the market has completely wrong is ah Brock Purdy. ah Yeah, sorry, Raj. Brock Purdy. ah Bush League huddle, we have him ranked as 12. Consensus 12.
Speaker: Markham has him. Markham has ranked as quarterback 14. He finished 24 last year in limited series. But I have him. I'm the only one who has him is in tier two and nobody else does.
Speaker: He averaged 22 points per game in nine games and ah guy Who's the name of who who filled in for him last year? I'm forgetting his name. used play for the Patriots.
Speaker: like Mack Jones. Mack Jones, in service for Brock Purdy, was also having spectacular games. You put those two players together, there was easily a top 10 finish, if not even a top 5 finish. don't have the numbers in front of me but i remember those stats from last year, and it was surprising at how well both of those played in that offense.
Speaker: So now they added Evans. They added Mike Evans. George Kittle supposedly is back, but even if he isn't, he's going to come back later on the season. It's still a Shanahan system. You still have Christian McCaffrey there. You still have Ricky Persall, who should be healthy.
Speaker: ah andan And Juwan, sorry, not Juwan Jenks. You still have, and there's a, oh, there's a new rookie sensation. Yes. He's getting a lot of, a lot of looks in camp. I know it's camp, but still. I think 40 TDs is not a crazy prediction for Brock Purdy. He's done it before.
Speaker: He's a good quarterback and a very, very friendly system. I think the market's fading him right now. I think I can happily miss on the top 10 guys and have him as my QB number one.
Speaker: I'd be very happy with that because it's this there's a legit path to getting top five returns with Brock Purdy in that offense. Love me some Brock Purdy this year as well. Yeah.
Speaker: So actually, and Raj, who do you love? Because next is you. Yeah, it's to be no surprise. It's going to be Caleb Williams for me. ah So we talked about a Bush League title has him as the QB5, the market has him as QB8, and he finished as the QB8 last year. I'm buying this year three in Ben Johnson's system. Led six fourth quarter comebacks last season, 3,900 yards, 27 TDs.
Speaker: Obviously, the completion percentage was an issue. I watched a lot of Bears games because I owned Caleb in quite a few leagues. The misses were quite bad. some of the misses he had but I feel like that has to be homed the chemistry with Dunzey should be better the chemistry with Colston Loveland's amazing with Luther Burden as well and one of the things that Ben Johnson said in his end of your presser and I think he's reiterated and a lot of analysts reiterated as well is that Caleb Williams and needs to run more right and there's ah There's a big potential and opportunity for him to run more if he doesn't see it right away, if he doesn't see his first read of the right away run, because he had some pretty decent rushing upside last year. So yeah as as high as we are, as high as i think everyone is on Caleb Williams globally, just fantasy aside, the market is still a bit a bit shy on him. And I think you need to buy all the stock on Caleb.
Speaker: and all the Bears, the tight ends, the running backs, really you know great fit in the offensive coordinator QB and weapons as well. So it's it's going to be a buy for Caleb Williams for me.
Speaker: I love that. i'll finish her off. um I'm buying Trevor Lawrence. That was my QB last year to, you know, it was his turn to either show out che up or show out.
Speaker: And He finished, as we mentioned, QB four in 2025, 4000 passing yards, almost 30 passing touchdowns and nine rushing TDs.
Speaker: Like Liam Cohen's offense unlocked his fantasy upside, like dual threat ability to now became a higher ceiling. And then what the market credits him for.
Speaker: Markin going QB 11, I think is way, way, way, way too low. um I mean, look, guys, look at this offense. is you He did it all last year without Brian Thomas Jr., who went off in his rookie season, right? You've got Parker Washington, who kind of took over over there. They now have Jacoby Myers in in that offense.
Speaker: They've got ah Brenton Strange, Travis Hunter, who's still going play, like we mentioned, a little bit of offense. So there are weapons everywhere. across the board for Trevor Lawrence. So there's no reason to believe he's going to have an even better year than he did ah last season. So I'm definitely buying Trevor Lawrence and, you know, still to finish in that top five, whereas everyone has him outside of the top 10 at the moment.
Speaker: And that's a wrap, guys, on our 2026 QB tiers. The runs are are definitely going happen fast on on draft day. So know your tier and and know your price and don't get caught up with without a valuable or viable second starter.
