Exploring Oddish: Characteristics and Origins

00:00:30
Speaker
I'm Claudia, and I'm here with my co-host, Catherine.
00:00:33
Speaker
Hello! I bring the chaos, Claudia brings the facts, and together we have pizzazz. That was good. I thought you were to I bring the chaos, and she brings the picaos.
00:00:45
Speaker
Oh, damn it, missed trick. This week we are going to be doing number 43, which, side note, we're on number 43. We're almost like a third of the way through.
00:00:56
Speaker
Let's go. This started out as a bit, and the fact that we're still going is really quite impressive. Committed to the bit. We really have committed to the bit. This is Oddish, and we talked about this last week, but his tagline is... The Weed Pokemon! The Weed Pokemon!
00:01:14
Speaker
What does he look like? He's like a little blue brain with little green spiky hair. He's got little tiny feet. Don't he look so happy? Oh, I could just squish him. So he is a grass poison type, hence the weed brother.
00:01:28
Speaker
He one foot eight inches and weighs 11.9 pounds, which 5.4 kgs. What's that?
00:01:36
Speaker
so you know yeah Bigger than I thought. He's a big-ass radish. Not a radish. He's quite clearly a sprouting bloob. ah Sprouting bloob.
00:01:46
Speaker
ah His regular color, like you said, is blue with green leaves, and its shiny color is green with yellow leaves. Not sure how feel about that, but fair play. At least they've tried to make him different.
00:01:59
Speaker
Yeah, kind of looks like the weed, like the plant. i'm trying to I'm trying to view it, but it won't let me. um I like to think he's going to look more like a dandelion. Yeah, a little bit.
00:02:10
Speaker
Oh, love a dandelion. So ah the name Oddish is a mixture of the word odd, which means strange, and radish. Oh my god, he does look like a little bit of marijuana.
00:02:22
Speaker
Yeah. So a little bit about what Oddish is based on, which I really liked this. I was like, huh, great. So Oddish is possibly based on a mandrake.
00:02:35
Speaker
oa Mm-hmm. Aww. And its it shares similar behaviors such as burying itself underground and shrieking when being pulled out of the ground.
00:02:47
Speaker
That's so cute. I love it Its activity at night and intake of moonlight could be an inverse of the photosynthesis process of plants. Aww.
00:02:58
Speaker
It's like Harry Potter and Pokemon comics. I know, it's like my two favorite things.

Oddish's Unique Features and Behaviors

00:03:04
Speaker
So ah would you like to know, this is not, but it is I've got a couple of facts that are kind of not like what it's based on or like it's facts in the Pokemon universe, but some fun facts. Would you like some fun facts?
00:03:16
Speaker
I love a fun fact. Hit me up. I've got two for you. The first one is very complicated. In Generation 2, which is gold-silver crystal, Bill's grandfather asks to the player to bring him a round, green Pokemon with leaves growing on its head, which is referring to Oddish.
00:03:35
Speaker
However, in those games and subsequent generations afterwards, Oddish's body, unless it's shiny, is blue. Yeah. So this mistake might have been a translation error caused by the ambiguity of the Japanese word Ayo, which can both mean blue and green, but then this was then fixed in heart gold and soul silver.
00:03:55
Speaker
That's really cool because isn't the Japanese one of the languages that has like barely any number of colors words for colours? So that that that word means both blue and green.
00:04:08
Speaker
like that. ah Second fun fact is that Oddish and Kabutops are the only two Pokemon known in the Pokemon universe to have a scientific name. Oh. The scientific name for Oddish is Odium Wanderous.
00:04:22
Speaker
I just love it. It's like he's got a wonderful audio. Yeah. Odium Wondrous. I'm obsessed. Or maybe it's Odium Wondrous. Not sure, but I love it.
00:04:35
Speaker
So ah ready to dive into our little weed weed boy? i am indeed-o. So Oddish are nocturnal Pokemon that bury their bodies in the soil during the day, exposing only the leaves on their head.
00:04:49
Speaker
Oh, like a little mandrake. Yeah, they could easily be mistaken for weeds when like this, but if one pulls on an oddish leaves, it will let out a horrible shriek.
00:05:02
Speaker
Don't blame them, to be fair. know what mean? If someone's pulling my hair, it's just shriek too. Yeah. If that loud shriek is not enough to deter predators, these Pokemon can use moves like poison powder, sun spore, and sleep powder to inflict a variety of status conditions upon its foes.
00:05:21
Speaker
Aww. so it It has a panic. It does. It's just, it's basically us, but as a boycott. Yeah, we're sleeping. Wake us up, we'll start shrieking too.
00:05:31
Speaker
Yeah. And start spitting. That's what I mean. I'm going to spit poison over you if could. So the little feetsies act like roots when they're buried in the soil and absorb nutrients from the earth.
00:05:43
Speaker
Healthier Oddish have glossier leaves. Ooh. I like that. So like a well-nourished is more like... Luscious. Yeah. Like a luscious plant.
00:05:55
Speaker
Yeah, they're basically sentient plants. Yeah, I'm here for it. So when they're exposed to moonlight, Oddish uproot themselves and begin to wander aimlessly in search of fertile soil.
00:06:07
Speaker
Cute. Yeah, makes sense. Yeah. Along the way as they travel, they disperse some of their seeds onto their paths. Oh my god, do they plant themselves? I think they plant themselves.
00:06:19
Speaker
Oh my god, I don't know if that's weird or not. A little bit. Whether it would like, because obviously they lay eggs, because all Pokemon lay eggs, so maybe it's a part of their like weird breeding, like another artich will pick up that seed and then can lay an egg, or their seeds literally just grow plants.
00:06:40
Speaker
I like to think They just grow plants and it's not like an odd dish is jizzing on the side of the road. ah Another one picks up the jizz and is like, yumm. Yeah, that just feels were wrong to me, you know?
00:06:53
Speaker
That is gross. But you know what? I'd be here for it. Would you? It's weird. I mean, it's is literally an odd radish. That's odd to me. Yeah, no, that checks out.
00:07:04
Speaker
So the oddest leaves are known to be poisonous and at the very least cause surreal hallucinations upon consumption. I'd give it a go.
00:07:16
Speaker
Of course you would. I'd try anything. For a brief time, people would consume oddish leaves recreationally, but the qua the craze quickly ended when the more toxic side effects, such as permanent liver damage, were discovered.
00:07:30
Speaker
Maybe I wouldn't, but at least it's good to know that other people tried it. So this Pokemon is literally weed. Yeah. It is marijuana. Yeah. and people in the Pokemon universe used to get high recreationally off Oddish.
00:07:45
Speaker
Until they realized that it damaged their livers. Yes. Yeah, no, it checks out. On that note, this is the coolest Pokemon ever. you know
00:07:54
Speaker
There's like a stoner in the Pokemon universe that just has Odishes and eats the leaves. It's like, yeah, brother. Yeah.
00:08:05
Speaker
There has to be a Pokemon. If I was to make a Pokemon game, that would be my grass type gym leader.

Gloom: Evolution and Characteristics

00:08:11
Speaker
You're telling me that we wouldn't have had at least two of these while we lived at uni? Oh, we would have had, yeah.
00:08:17
Speaker
and We would just have a bunch of them. I wonder how quickly the leaves grow back. I suppose if you treat it well and give it some good soil. Yeah, like we'd get like Miracle-Gro and then harvest the leaves.
00:08:29
Speaker
Yeah. It's like a a drug, but also a friend. I mean, yeah um So recently scientists have discovered Oddish can in fact photosynthesize using moonlight rather than sunlight.
00:08:44
Speaker
I love that for them. Although, don't go out in the dead of night, Oddish, because you will get eaten by Golbat. That's true. I mean, they are nocturnal. They bury themselves during the day and they're out at night. Maybe, i mean, maybe they can't get consumed because they are poisonous.
00:08:59
Speaker
Maybe. Or maybe the Goldbarts just take a leaf. Just suck some of the leaf out. Yeah. Have a good time. And then go on to kill the caterpillars. It could be like a two-way street. They they have like a pact. Like, Otis is like, look, don't kill us. We'll give you a leaf. You can have a good time.
00:09:18
Speaker
But just leave us alone. Maybe. ah like that. Yeah. Like, I like the fact. Yeah. That's a good good idea. Yeah. All right, so we'll go ahead and evolve our little boy Oddish.
00:09:29
Speaker
Aw, but he's so cute. So cute. I think the next one's also kind of cute. Are you? Okay. and This is number 44 in the Pokedex. This is Gloom, also the weed Pokemon. What does he look like?
00:09:43
Speaker
He's got, like, ginger hair, and what his he's got he's drooling all the time. Yeah. And like the little the little flower on top to me always looked a bit like a hat.
00:09:56
Speaker
So I know it's like men of leaves, but to me looks like a hat with ginger hair and he's dribbling and he's blue. He is, he is. That is exactly very accurate. And then the shiny version is green with ah yellow bits on top.
00:10:12
Speaker
Yeah. But i've always like I've always had a soft spot for gloom and I don't know why. It's because he's he's just hanging out. you have it He looks like he's had a tough night. it He does look like me after a heavy night.
00:10:24
Speaker
When you wake up in the morning. When I wake up the morning, dribbling. So this Pokemon does actually also have a gender difference. The males is the one that you see, like the regular gloom with like the dots on the flower on top. The female ones just have one big dot on each of those little lumpy bits on the flower.
00:10:43
Speaker
Oh, that's interesting. I didn't know that. Yeah, me neither. Well, I've learned something. Gloom is also a grass poison type and he is now two foot seven inches and he weighs 19 pounds, which is 8.6 kgs.
00:10:57
Speaker
Still quite a little boy. Yeah, not big, a little bit bigger than the last one, but he's not. Is is that Zubat sized? I can't remember. I've blocked Zubat out of my memory, mate. Yeah, around about that size. I was reliving some trauma that last episode, sweetheart.
00:11:13
Speaker
This is also reliving some trauma with the weed Pokemon, but, you know, not quite as bad. yeah So Gloom is, ah the name comes from Gloom as in sadness, and Gloom, G-L-U-M-E, which is a leaf-like structure on a plant, and then the word bloom.
00:11:34
Speaker
Interesting. I just thought it because he looks sad. i gloom me He is ah possibly based on the Raffalacea flower, which is also the exact flower that's on top of a Venusaur.
00:11:49
Speaker
Oh, damn. Which we learn all the way back then in the beginning, which was a large flower known for its awful stench. Yeah, because he was really seems a stinky boy. he just wanted to be loved.
00:12:02
Speaker
This guy is also a stinky boy that wants to be loved. I feel that with Gloom. Maybe that's why i've always had a soft spot for him. And then ah those leaves are supposed to represent a tree.
00:12:13
Speaker
ah He's also based on trees, seeing how the drool coming out of his mouth looks like tree sap. Yeah, no, do you know what? Now you're telling me all this, it kind of all makes sense. okay I don't know why I thought he was drooling.
00:12:26
Speaker
I just thought it was poison coming out of him. And it makes you kind of like him, right? A little bit. I've always liked Gloom. I've always liked Oddish and Gloom. I've been buzzing for this one. So I've got a a couple of little facts.
00:12:38
Speaker
ah Gloom is the only dual type Pokemon that evolves into a mono type Pokemon. That is interesting. Which is fun. And Gloom and Eevee are the only two Pokemon that can evolve into two different forms where both of those forms require an evolution stone.
00:12:56
Speaker
That's because he's a special boy. Yeah, he's also Eevee's bud. Eevee and Gloom, two buds. Oh, can you imagine them hanging out? It would be very stinky.
00:13:06
Speaker
It would. Let's dig into him. Preferably not because he's ah very icky. Yeah. So Gloom are most famously known for their horrid stench. Their putrid odour can make people gag from over 1.25 miles away.
00:13:24
Speaker
Jeez Louise. Isn't that disgusting? That is gross. And that's quite far. That is quite a distance. Yeah. 1.25 miles.
00:13:35
Speaker
that's i don't know what that is in kilometres. Must be more than... two Was it two kilometres? No, no, I don't work in kilometres. So ah from a closer distance, one sniff can cause temporary memory loss and fainting.
00:13:47
Speaker
ah i ah I'm saying it now. I can't beat this guy in a fight. He's a smelling salt. Yeah. Or a popper. Oh my God, he's poppers. So though the spell the smell is unbearable to most people, there are a select few individuals, which is roughly about one in a thousand that actually enjoy the smell.
00:14:08
Speaker
Kind of like the smell your own farts. I was going to say petrol. Two very different people. very but Two very different responses.
00:14:20
Speaker
Notably the people that enjoy this smell, ah every grass gym leader, especially Erica in the Canto Celadon gym. Yeah, eica always gives me weird vibes, and now that's just confirmed why.
00:14:32
Speaker
and Because she sniffs blooms and enjoys it. She's a gloom sniffer. Probably likes her own farts too. So maybe that would be like any trainer that actually has a gloom enjoys the smell. Like they go out and find artiches because they like the smell of a gloom.
00:14:47
Speaker
Like you wouldn't want a gloom if it's going to make you faint. See, I love the smell of petrol. Would I love the smell of a gloom? I don't know. Okay. I like the smell of a garden center.
00:15:00
Speaker
Does that mean I'm going like the smell of gloom? I mean, this would be the perfect Pokemon to have if you just want people to stay the fuck away from you. Right? Like, I put one in my garden. Leave me alone.
00:15:12
Speaker
Just get up in the morning and rub it on your armpits and go out. Take it to work in my bag. Like, what's that smell? You'd be like, I don't smell anything. You okay? Just see people fainting as I walk past him.
00:15:25
Speaker
Brilliant. It'd be the perfect thing for Team Rocket to have, actually. Just throw it in like a bomb. Oh my god, like it's a real life stink bomb. and I love him.

Interacting with Oddish and Gloom

00:15:35
Speaker
Love him.
00:15:36
Speaker
So the drool from their mouths is actually a foul smelling honey used to re attract their insect prey. Interesting. So this guy does eat a caterpillar. He does.
00:15:47
Speaker
up And they love the smell. So this is this is kind of weird. In a constant cycle, the smell of the honey can cause Gloom to become excited, which in turn caused them to produce even more of their putrid smelling honey and more of their equally foul pollen as well.
00:16:05
Speaker
So it just goes around and around. An excited stinky boy. it's kind of cute though. So it's like he gets excited over his own farts, which then makes him fart again and get more excited.
00:16:16
Speaker
Yeah, or like, you know when dogs get excited and wee? Oh, yeah, and then we get excited over the wee and then wee again. Yeah. But they wee out of their mouth. I mean, yeah, I don't really like that concept, but...
00:16:30
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. So despite the smell, however, Gloom Honey is reportedly very sweet once one overlooks the stench. Okay. So I could put it on toast.
00:16:42
Speaker
You could put it on toast and it would taste delicious, but smell disgusting. Kind of like caviar, maybe. i can't have ever tried caviar. we're We're from different social circles, clearly.
00:16:54
Speaker
I've only ever had it on cruise boats, but it smells foul. Yeah, I can imagine it with its eggs in it. So ah this honey is very sticky and it's very difficult to remove from clothing.
00:17:05
Speaker
Yeah, checks out. Also, finally, notably, while an alarm gloom releases even more rancid pollen than normal, a calm one will release next to no smell at all.
00:17:16
Speaker
Oh, okay. So if you want them to be stinky, you're going to have to slap them to activate it like a scratch and sniff. That's what I was thinking. Scratch and sniff, you're gloom. Are you ready to move on to our question section? This one's going to be wild.
00:17:30
Speaker
I am ready for the question section. So ah you're just wandering around in a nice little forest. Now you're out of Mount Moon, thank God. You're just wandering around and you see some of the leaves just poking out of the ground.
00:17:43
Speaker
And as you walk up, you see a little pair of eyes just pop out as well. It's an oddish. What do you do? I want to take it home. You have to extract it very carefully from the soil so it that upset. I'll like, i don't know, tease it out with a berry or something.
00:17:58
Speaker
a I just know that I want to take it home. I want him in my house. Get a nice little pot for him. Exactly. I'd get him a big one too so he has room to spread out.
00:18:09
Speaker
And he can wander around your house at night time. Exactly. I've got a nice garden for him. So you pocketed your little Oddish and you continue walking and then you can start to smell something.
00:18:20
Speaker
a little weird, little putrid. And you're looking around for the smell because honestly it smells like something died and something's rotten. And then you see a gloom just sat looking very sad, just drooling underneath the tree.
00:18:33
Speaker
What would you do? i'm I'd want to take its picture and I'd want to befriend it, but I also don't want to pass out from its stinky smell. it would depend on if you like the smell or not.
00:18:43
Speaker
Yeah. If I like the smell, he's coming home with me. and If I don't like the smell, maybe I'd like draw a picture and show him it from her distance. Oh, to make him happy so he doesn't smell.
00:18:55
Speaker
He smells, but I mean no harm. ah He smells, but that doesn't make him any less of a person. Exactly. He still deserves love. Aww. this is This is quite a little so a tale.
00:19:07
Speaker
Well, sometimes we get deep. Usually with the Pokemon we like. Yeah, that's true. Goalbat and Zoobat. Yeah, fuck fuck them.
00:19:16
Speaker
So what function other than battling do you think our sweet little boy Oddish could have? Hear me out. Burger alarm. Okay. So you put your, or like a safe. So you put your valuables underneath him.
00:19:30
Speaker
Oh. Someone tries to pull him out. He's screeching. Oh, that's perfect. Or just say, hey, Oddish, look after my stuff. Give him me a little bag. Yeah. That's genius.
00:19:41
Speaker
That's foolproof. Right? He's a screecher. People are going to hear that for miles. Oh, yeah. You definitely know someone nicks your stuff. Exactly. Seed disperser.
00:19:53
Speaker
Yep. Would be good for A field, you know, planting some crops. Oh, and then he could also guard the field because if like a bird comes down and tries to like pick up the crops, they might pick him up and he'd start screaming.
00:20:06
Speaker
Yeah, see, he'd be good. And the best part is the farmer can also use him on weekends to get high. Exactly. He's a two-in-one. Perfect if you're living off the grid by yourself.
00:20:18
Speaker
He is. Yeah, think how good your vegetables would be. And he's also a friend. and Exactly. He's an all-round good guy. Ten-ten. Ten-ten. Ten-ten.
00:20:30
Speaker
ah What about our boy Gloom? What function would he have? Okay, well, he's obviously a deterrent for anyone coming near you. Yes. A deterrent for a farm, too. Yeah. Like, if you are growing weed and you don't want the cops to come near, have a couple of these.
00:20:45
Speaker
Yeah, cops ain't gonna go near you. Mm-mm. And if they do, they'll pass out. ah Stink bomb? Mm-hmm. If you're running this weed farm, you could also have like a really fancy high-end restaurant where you can serve gloom honey on toast.
00:20:59
Speaker
That's a good point. Mm-hmm. Yeah, you have that harvest that. If you like the smell of a gloom, you could get close enough to harvest the honey and sell it and make a lot of money.
00:21:09
Speaker
Yeah, you could actually just have a gloom farm. It'd be so stinky. That'd be perfect for me because no one would ever want to go there. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. It'd be like your ideal. And you get to look after an animal. Perfect.
00:21:21
Speaker
Absolutely perfect. Dream come No one would just shut up. There'd be no like people knocking on your door soliciting. No, because it'd be too stanky. Yeah, they wouldn't come. They'd be gagging 1.25 miles away. They ain't going coming down here.
00:21:34
Speaker
No one's coming down my neck of the woods. ah He could be like a stink bomb. Yeah. A war weapon. Yeah. He could clear out a party that's got too wild.
00:21:46
Speaker
Oh, the police could have this. Like, go on, go home. And they're like, no. And he just slapped one of these on the ass and throw it in. And everyone's like, u starts gagging. And they're all leaving.
00:21:57
Speaker
Brilliant. He's quite useful. He is. He's got more uses than I thought. ah He also attracts insects. so you know Great for farms. Great for farms. Pollinators.
00:22:09
Speaker
Yeah, keep them on one side too so you can get the insects away from your plants that you're trying to cultivate as well. Yeah.

Oddish and Gloom's Role in Society

00:22:15
Speaker
Best of both worlds, really. you can do it all. He can do it all.
00:22:19
Speaker
ah So what do you reckon Oddish eats? Berries. Definitely berries. Berries, plants. And cream. I'm a little as like...
00:22:32
Speaker
what about What about Gloom? what do you think he eats? I reckon and I reckon... Cream. the I reckon you could feed Gloom.
00:22:44
Speaker
Like, you could share a granola bar with him. Oh, I think so. I think he'd like that because he probably doesn't have many friends. Exactly. I reckon you could split your granola bar, have half and half, and he'd nibble it like a hamster with his little arms. Aw, and his little sad mouth.
00:23:00
Speaker
Yeah. Do you think they eat each other's drool? Maybe if they're married. They're just...
00:23:09
Speaker
Maybe this could be a mating ritual. Yeah. Yeah. I hate that image. It's awful. I love the fact that I specified marriage too. Yeah, because you know Gloom obviously get married in the traditional human matrimony sense.
00:23:24
Speaker
Well, yeah, I assume it's like, you know, that like little scene in Frozen where they go and see the trolls and they're singing it as a bit of fixer-upper.
00:23:36
Speaker
That's what I imagine ah Gloom colony is like. Oh, I love it. And they're obviously made for life like penguins. Yeah, and I don't know why, but that's what I'm imagining. And they have like a large and they get married.
00:23:49
Speaker
ah love it. I love it. It's a bit of a fixer, Rob. yeah They do look like the little trolls. They do look like little trolls. It's the hat. So could we eat these?
00:24:01
Speaker
Poison. No. Poison. Well remembered. i was testing you. Apart from the leaves. Would you eat them or smoke them?
00:24:12
Speaker
I don't know because it said for a brief time people would consume Yeah, but doesn't say how you're consuming them. Yeah, I reckon smoking. Yeah. It's got to be. You're not going to sit there and eat a leaf. That's weird.
00:24:23
Speaker
ah I don't know. Shove it in a Caesar salad. you've got yourself a meal. you could make edibles out of this. Exactly. Get the butter from it. Beautiful. You could maybe milk it like an aloe leaf.
00:24:34
Speaker
I mean, you could, yeah. It's a nice dropper. And technically we could consume gloom because, I mean, not the actual gloom itself, but, you know, a byproduct, the honey. Yeah, exactly. So we can have parts of them, but not the actual.
00:24:49
Speaker
Right. so So we eat them in a vegetarian sense, but not in a vegan sense. Yes. Yeah, okay. yeah We can vegetarianally consume these They're byproducts, but not themselves.
00:25:02
Speaker
Yes, beautiful. So ah you are just hanging out in a forest, and you come across, it looks like the that scene from Frozen when they have a bunch of trolls, and it's you've stumbled upon gloom wedding, and there's a couple of glooms getting married. There's some artists just having a good time. You know, the drinks are flowing.
00:25:24
Speaker
The songs are singing. It stinks, but that's fine because in this reality, you love the smell. So you're just vibing. You're just vibing. You're consuming some leaves. You're slapping some honey on your tongue.
00:25:36
Speaker
Great night. You know, you're living. I am living. You are your own Disney princess. Oh my God, I'm obsessed. Yeah. People, are you know, they've been offering you leaves. You've just been taking a leaf, taking a leaf.

You take a leaf. Uh-oh. This was actually an Oddish buried in the ground and you pull him up. He starts to scream in. Who would win? Me.
00:25:59
Speaker
You stomp on him. Yeah, hit this is an easy one. Yeah, like i could dropkick it. And he could only do status conditions. Like he just tours with poison powder sunspore.
00:26:12
Speaker
You know, you're better. We don't fight using status conditions. We fight using moves that reduces hit points. Exactly. Face stomp him. I will face stomp him.
00:26:24
Speaker
I'll rip them leaves off and shuck him in the bin. Oh, the polar. Imagine an ardish with no leaves. He's just like a blueberry with legs.
00:26:35
Speaker
Like a blue Kirby. Oh, a little blue... I love Kirby. So you cut you've curb-stamped this ardish. You continue partying and you start to smell because, you know, when they're alarmed, they smell more. You can smell like...
00:26:50
Speaker
someone's really upset. Here comes grandma gloom. Your cub stumped her grandson and she's angry. Who would win in this fight? I'm taking i'm taking grandma gloomy pants.
00:27:02
Speaker
Two foot seven. Yeah, and if you already like the smell, what's she going to do Exactly. i Once again, drop kick stamp on her. She's gone. Goodbye. And then suck out all her honey.
00:27:13
Speaker
And then I'm not invited back so the to the gloom park po party again. No, no, it's one and done. You can't stop beating up and curb stomping the family members and be invited back. it That's not how it works,

sunshine.
00:27:27
Speaker
At this point, you're too much of a fixer-upper. There's nothing they can do. They've got no time for me. ah So that's it for our odd little glooms.
00:27:40
Speaker
What do you think? I'm obsessed. I mean, I loved them before, but I am obsessed now. Now they're a recreational drug. I know. And a deterrent for socialising.
00:27:51
Speaker
The two things I love most.
00:27:55
Speaker
Like my ideal weekend. And Gloom surprised me because I did not like Gloom. I thought it was weird and gross looking. But yeah you know what? I judged a book by its cover again.
00:28:06
Speaker
You did. So i like I said at the beginning, I've always liked Gloom. I used to have a Gloom. I'm pretty sure a Gloom got me through the final four. Hell yeah, he did. You know why? Because he's a fixer-upper.
00:28:19
Speaker
He's a bit of a fixer-upper. I'm never going to be able to unsee that for the rest of my life. But it's so true. And that's what upsets you the most. So where do you think Gloom falls in our like Pokemon chart of who we like?
00:28:33
Speaker
I think he's pretty high up. I think so too. I think he's maybe above the Neato's.

Speaker
Absolutely above the Nido's. What the fuck? Above the Nido's. Above the Vulpix, I think.
00:28:45
Speaker
Yeah, the Vulpix was just cute. Like, there wasn't much else going on. At least Gloom's got something. A little summon summon. Yeah, but I think kind of below, you know, starter Pokemon and our Clefairy.
00:28:58
Speaker
Yeah. I think he's somewhere in there. He's, yeah, nestled nestled in there alongside... Bulbasaur. Yeah. I love Bulbasaur. I'm trying to think who... I can't remember who we've done.
00:29:09
Speaker
ah think he's up there with a Sandshrew, you know? Oh, I think so. Yeah. And Sandshrew was better than the Pidgeys. Yeah. Yeah, I think around about the Sandshrew realm. Yeah, exactly. ah ah i sponsor a pangolin now.
00:29:23
Speaker
Like, that Sandshrew... That Sandshrew one hit me hard. Now you have to sponsor a troll from Frozen. Onyx. All right. Next week, we are going to take our gloom that we love so much, take two of them, shove some evolution stones down their throats, and see what happens.
00:29:42
Speaker
I cannae wait, sunshine. This is all about taking drugs and consuming. I love it. I'm here for it. Yeah. All right. Happy 420. Happy 420. We're in the middle of May, my friend. Yeah. Well, it's 420 somewhere.
