Hello homies and trainers and welcome to Unknown Radio, your Mugs Day production Pokemon talk show where we take a peek at every Pokemon. I'm Claudia and

Host Dynamics and Roles

00:00:31
Speaker
as always I'm here with my co-host Catherine.
00:00:34
Speaker
Hello! o Claudia brings us the flax. And by flax I also mean fax. And I bring the pizzazz. And also a bit of chaos. And we are Unknown Radio.
00:00:46
Speaker
The flax come back in full force. The flax is back. Today we're going to be doing number 45 in the Pokedex. We're moving on from our gloom.
00:00:57
Speaker
We're using a leaf stone to evolve it. And this is Vileplume. um That's exactly what it sounds like. I'm good at the noises.
00:01:08
Speaker
You are good at the noises. You got the noises down, Pat. They're close enough. Thanks. but That's how I live my life. Close enough. Do you have any

Introduction to Vileplume

00:01:16
Speaker
idea what the tagline for this bad boy is?
00:01:19
Speaker
don't know, but I know this what looks like. What does it look like? It looks like a mushroom flower, but because it's Pokemon, it could literally be like the rat Pokemon and have nothing to do with the rat. So I've been burned too many times.
00:01:33
Speaker
It is You'll be happy to hear the flower Pokemon. Oh, that's good. I am happy. Yeah, they're finally not being completely unhinged. Makes a change. Makes a change.
00:01:44
Speaker
So vile plume is a grass poison type. It stands at three foot 11 inches and weighs 41 pounds, which is 18.6 kgs. That's a big boy.
00:01:57
Speaker
That's like coming up to like hip height. Yeah. Right? That's quite hefty as well. It's a big ass fucking flower. i would not want that flower in my garden. So what does this guy look like?
00:02:09
Speaker
It's got like a little purple body and then he's got like a flower hat, but the flowers look like mushrooms. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I always think his body just looks fucking weird.
00:02:20
Speaker
I always think because it's smiling, the eyes look really dead. Like there's nothing behind those eyes. It's completely, it's got deadpans, deadpan stare. It's,
00:02:31
Speaker
quite honestly scary yeah and the more it smiles the scarier it gets the more it smiles this is a serial killer absolutely you would not want him in

Vileplume's Characteristics and Abilities

00:02:41
Speaker
your garden no this has been ginormous you just wake up in the middle of the night and it's staring at you through the window oh my god imagine kill myself And it would also be holding a bunch of flowers.
00:02:56
Speaker
Oh. It wouldn't be holding a knife. It would be holding something that should be nice to receive, but not from this guy. But you know it's probably tainted because this thing is indeed tainted.
00:03:08
Speaker
Oh, absolutely. So the the regular version, like you said, is kind of purple with this red flower. The shiny version is green with an orange flower. That sounds kind of cute. I could get on board with that.
00:03:19
Speaker
I thought so too, but if you look up a picture of it, it just looks wrong. Does it look like it's going to attack me in the night? Yeah, it looks potentially worse. All right, I'm on it.
00:03:31
Speaker
Bear with, actually. You carry on with your facts. I do actually have a bunch of little fun facts before we get into... Oh my God, the eyes stand out more. It's like glowing.
00:03:44
Speaker
He's horrible. Oh, I don't like him. No, 0%. He's definitely going to touch you when you're asleep. oh Oh no, just touch you with his fucking furry flower fingers. I'm here, my friends.
00:04:02
Speaker
I'm here to water your yard. Sniff my flower, it'll be okay. Join me in my flower pot, friend.
00:04:12
Speaker
So some fun facts is that Vileplume appears to be based on the Raphacia armaldi flower, which we've seen this before in our little trip through the Pokedex. Do you remember the flower that's on top of Venusaur?
00:04:28
Speaker
Yeah. It's the same flower. Oh, but Venusaur's not scary. No, this is this is like Venusaur's evil counterpart. Like the one that got like locked in an attic for a little bit too long.
00:04:43
Speaker
Exactly. Yeah. Just like the the changeling child that was switched at birth. Yeah, or like the evil twin on The Simpsons. ah Exactly that.
00:04:53
Speaker
That's where they drew their inspiration from. Knew it. So Vileplume, the name comes from the words. You'd never guess this. Vile and Plume. Oh, you guessed it. 10 out of 10. I'm so good.
00:05:06
Speaker
A couple of little fun facts is this is another Pokemon that has a gender variant. The basic model is the male model with the little white spots on the flower. The female model, I don't know I'm saying model, has like, instead of having the little spots, just has a big spot on each of the leaves.
00:05:25
Speaker
That just sounds a bit boring, but okay. Yeah, it's like boring, like, oh, Rattata's Fucking whiskers are shorter. Will you stop with Rattata? I keep blocking him out of my memory.
00:05:37
Speaker
We just changed his name to Rattata now. Rattata? Rattata. And fun fact number two is that it's a TCG Pokemon card game fact is that the jungle expansion, which was one of the um original series of Pokemon cards, the symbol for that pack was Vileplume's flower.
00:05:58
Speaker
Oh, that's cute. I'm glad that he's getting some recognition. Right, which is honestly more than he deserves. Do you know what? For once, I'm keeping an open mind. Okay. Don't often, but... In terms of Pokemon, you're going to keep an open mind for this one?
00:06:14
Speaker
Yeah. I don't know why. I think I've got a little soft spot for, you know, I'll make gloom. Okay. Okay. That's fair. You know, we've got to think about where we came from. Old dribble chin, you know. Old dribble chin.
00:06:27
Speaker
Okay. So we've now evolved our little buddy dribble chin. Yeah. with our leaf stone. And this is Vileplume. You ready to get stuck in? I am indeedy.
00:06:38
Speaker
So when Gloom evolves into Vileplume,

Introduction to Bellossom

00:06:41
Speaker
their buds burst open with great aplomb. That's what's in the Pokedex. Aplomb. I don't even know what that means, but I'm here for it The giant flower on a Vileplume's head holds most of the Pokemon's mass.
00:06:56
Speaker
Yeah, that checks out. We can see that with our eyes. I have eyes. With the largest petal-to-bottle ratio in the world, the whole world, vile plume actually have trouble holding up their heads due to the sheer weight of their flowers.
00:07:12
Speaker
But they don't have a neck, so... They are just head and legs. don't get it. like They can't hold up the flower, but they no neck. In order to hold up the head, they have to have a neck and a body, not just a head with arms.
00:07:26
Speaker
Just, you know, work out legs a bit more. i They do have tiny little legs. Imagine them trying to run and they just fucking bust ass. They just fall over.
00:07:38
Speaker
Like, you know, like the turtles where they can't get back up. yeah You know, those things outside of car sale place with the wavy arms. The inflatable man. Yeah. Do you think they look like that when they're trying to run?
00:07:51
Speaker
Yes. Because they are not aerodynamic. Or like, you know, like when you see like a chunky toddler. Oh, yeah. And you're just waiting for it to fall flower in its face.
00:08:02
Speaker
Yeah. yeah Vile plumes. Chunky toddlers slash wavy arms. Studies show that the larger the flowers are, the more poisonous their pollen is.
00:08:15
Speaker
Interesting. Which kind of tracks... Yeah. The smell of the flowers attract prey. When they draw close, vile plume flap their petals, cloaking themselves and their targets in toxic pollen that quickly immobilizes the victims.
00:08:31
Speaker
Ooh, that's clever. Kind of like a Venus flytrap serial killer. Yeah. We were correct when we said it was evil. Yeah, like it is coming for you, but it's still clever.
00:08:43
Speaker
I don't like the idea of them flapping those petals.
00:08:48
Speaker
I feel like it would create... if you If it wasn't venomous, right... It could create a nice breeze on a summer's day. It could, yeah. But the fact that it's venomous does make it less fun.
00:09:01
Speaker
Yeah, just a little bit. Looking at the picture of them, it looks like that's like a solid hat. looks like a hat. And the fact that they can move it like a cat moves the tail.
00:09:12
Speaker
But can they move each petal individually? Or does just the whole thing flap up and down? I don't know. Is it like a finger situation where they can just waggle one?
00:09:25
Speaker
Ugh. Or do they need to waggle all of them like a foot? I don't know. The petals are separate. Yeah. Yeah. So maybe they have some kind of joint that goes into the petal.
00:09:41
Speaker
Oh, imagine that skeleton. Worse. That's worse than nine tails. Worse than when I found out cats have bones in their tails. ah That's still a highlight for me. That was fucking hilarious.
00:09:52
Speaker
I still can't get over it. I'll tell everyone I see. Did you know cats have bones in their tails? Sounds like I'm the only one that didn't know. Anyway. yeah you probably were the

Bellossom's Nature and Behavior

00:10:01
Speaker
only person that didn't know. You've had cats your whole life, but it's fine.
00:10:05
Speaker
Anyway, back to Firebloom. ah Even as they walk, vile plumes scatter pollen out of their blooms, turning the surrounding air a sickly yellow.
00:10:17
Speaker
This pollen can cause poisoning and paralysis in large amounts, but can also trigger massive allergy attacks, even in trace amounts. Oh, so basically, if you've got hay fever, you're fucked.
00:10:30
Speaker
Yeah. Because it's a massive allergy attack. Also, that's disgusting that the air turns yellow. It's so thick with pollen. That is actually vile. Yeah. That's like when the... It's like a vile plume.
00:10:42
Speaker
ah hello Oh, it is indeed a vile plume. I hate you. funny yeah You know when ah the rapeseeds in full bloom and everything gets covered in like a thin layer of yellow?
00:11:00
Speaker
That's what I'm imagining this. Yeah, it's just like a rapeseed farm on his head. Ugh. Just the master of the rapeseed. All hail!
00:11:11
Speaker
all hail the rapeseed king!
00:11:16
Speaker
So, like Oddish and Gloom, vile plume may hide partially buried in the soil, only exposing their flowers for unwary prey to investigate. Because of this, it is unadvisable to approach large flowers in swamps or jungles, as they may actually be vile plume in disguise, waking waiting for an opportunity to scatter pollen.
00:11:36
Speaker
I mean, yeah, that makes sense. At this point, I'd avoid anything in the Pokemon universe, but... And I think in general, if I came across a three foot flower, i don't think I would touch it because that's not normal.
00:11:49
Speaker
I think I have to agree with you. Yeah, especially and especially in the Pokemon universe. <unk> think I'm going to be rubbing up against a three foot flower. I hate that phrase.
00:12:02
Speaker
So that's about it on Vileplume. Not much other than he's just gross. Yeah. um But luckily, if we go later on to the Pokedex, which we are, we're doing a little skippity skip.
00:12:13
Speaker
o Gloom also has a alternate evolution. So instead of giving it a leaf stone, we can go ahead and give ah Gloom a sunstone, which we skip all the way to number 182 in the Pokedex. This is the cute little Belossum.
00:12:30
Speaker
Oh, it's so cute. So much cuter than Vileplume. There's not even a choice. Yeah, absolutely not. Do you have any idea what this guy's tagline ah taglineing im I'm just going to stick with flower Pokemon because they're not very imaginative.
00:12:46
Speaker
Bang on the money. There you go. Blossom is a grass type. It stands at only one foot four inches and weighs 12.8 pounds, which is 5.8 kgs.
00:12:57
Speaker
Oh, it's a little warm. It's a little dancing thing. So cute. Speaking of cute, what does it look like? I always, right, think of a hula dancer.
00:13:09
Speaker
Yes. It's got like, almost like a leafy skirt. who And it does, it just looks so happy. and it And it does the little dance. And it's got little flowers in its head. Well, on its head.
00:13:21
Speaker
Yes, it's like little ear flowers. Yeah, like this one is cute. This one I'm not scared of at all. No, me neither. So cute. And then even cuter is this the shiny version. Instead of being like green ah with like the orange flowers, it is pink with pink flowers and then like the little green skirt.
00:13:41
Speaker
Oh, that's so cute. It's like a double pink. Oh, Adorable. Yeah, I love this one. um So Blossom is based on different types of flowers and hula dances.
00:13:53
Speaker
Yay, I got it right. Yeah, and it may also incorporate elements of belly dancing, how it like does this little hula dance. Oh, yeah, that makes sense. Its name, ah Blossom, comes from Blossom, Bell, and possibly Belly, seeing as it may be based on belly dances. And it may also come from Bella, which is Spanish for pretty.
00:14:14
Speaker
It's like a triple whammy. It is. I like a triple whammy. Pow, pow, pow! And I do have a little fun fact, just a small one, that Blossom's shiny sprites in Generation 2 had a blue face, which resembled Oddish, um but that was later changed to purple in Generation 3 and onwards.
00:14:33
Speaker
God, Oddish. We love Oddish. Oh, it's odd-ish. Yeah. All right, you want to dig into this little cutie? Yeah. Blossom are generally found in tropical jungles and often seen dancing uniformly in circular groups.
00:14:51
Speaker
Cute. So they're just hanging out, having a good time. They're just living their best life. And it it kind of follows on from like gloom being a drug to like this is just a vibe.
00:15:02
Speaker
Yeah. Makes much more sense to me. Yeah. No, I'm with you. like It's like the fun side of Gloom and the other one was like the evil side of Gloom. Yes. Yes. It's like we split. it depends on what kind of addict you become.
00:15:16
Speaker
Yeah. Fun or evil serial killer. Scary. Well, yeah, basically. So these little dances that they do are said to summon the sun, bringing bright, warm days. They congregate at the end of the rainy season to dance and celebrate this.
00:15:32
Speaker
Oh, like little sun worshippers. I bet they do like the little summer solstice party. oh I bet they do. I bet they do that with the Clefairies. Oh, God, Clefairy.
00:15:45
Speaker
They'd definitely be friends. Absolutely. I'd love to go to one of those parties. That'll be just the whole vibe and bring a couple of glooms, you know, to bring the party. Oh, yeah.
00:15:56
Speaker
So when Blossom are exposed to ample sunlight, their petal skirts deepen in color and they begin to twirl around. As they dance, their petals rub against each other, creating a pleasing sound.
00:16:07
Speaker
Aww. So they create music. This is perfect. the Perfect Pokemon. Perfect Pokemon. Going back to our little glooms, it is said that blossom that evolve from stinkier glooms develop more vibrant flowers.
00:16:25
Speaker
Yeah, no, I like that. you've got to get the nastiest gloomy boy, the the nastiest, droopiest, stinkiest one to get the prettiest little blossom.
00:16:36
Speaker
I like that. That's cute. It's like the ugly duckling. It is exactly the

Comparing Vileplume and Bellossom

00:16:41
Speaker
ugly duckling. Yeah, and I like that. That's cute. Yeah, justice for ugly glooms. Exactly.
00:16:47
Speaker
Upon, ah when they do evolve, they leave their forest to join other groups of blossom. ah So they're just like, all right, bye. And when the blossom go to sleep, they close their petals around themselves. So they're completely encased a little cocoon.
00:17:02
Speaker
Oh, get out. you think they have feet? I but ah don't know I like to think they do, but The fact that they go into into a cocoon makes me think otherwise. And like, do they have feet or are these leaves their feet?
00:17:24
Speaker
Oh no then they like snuttle around on leaves like a crab thing. That's what I'm seeing now. ah read that fact and now that's what I'm seeing.
00:17:36
Speaker
Oh, it's freaking me out a little bit, if I'm honest. They're like little Ursula from The Little Mermaid. Yeah. But cute. I like to think they float. I mean, I know they don't, but... They float with the power of dance.
00:17:50
Speaker
Yeah, like ballerinas.
00:17:55
Speaker
I'm creeped out a little bit. They're petal skirts and flowers wilt when deprived of sunlight. Yeah, like a normal flower. I would cry if I saw one of these just sad and crinkly. That's sadder than the Charmander that's tail almost goes out.
00:18:12
Speaker
I don't know. a little wilty but awesome who's sad. Okay, yeah, no, that is Yeah, fair enough. Yeah, both are sad. Both are sad. ah During mating season, Belosso will perform intricate dances with their mates involving jumps and twirls in the air.
00:18:29
Speaker
The males will then release pollen from their flowers as the females lay their eggs in nests of dry grass. Right. So they lay oddish eggs.
00:18:40
Speaker
Yes. Okay, right. So they have a dance that's essentially an orgy. Yeah. The females would lay the eggs while the males jizz in the air and hope it lands on the eggs.
00:18:55
Speaker
Why you always have to make it gross? Like, why can't you just be like, you know, like, he sends pollen and it's all sweet and cute. Why do you to make it gross? You always mention jizz. I'm imagining, like, it's...
00:19:07
Speaker
You know how salmon breed? No. This is essentially the same thing. Like the females lay the eggs. Like goldfish.
00:19:18
Speaker
Yeah. And then the males swim down the stream and they release, you know, semen as they're swimming and hope to cover as many nests as possible. Yeah, basically. so It's a very effective way of breeding.
00:19:32
Speaker
Yeah, there's go be a lot of audishes. and hey And I also like it because there's with these these kind of mating systems, there's no competition.
00:19:43
Speaker
like the The males don't compete. Yeah, no, I like that. But essentially, yeah, that's what happens. I like the fact that they twirl. They twirl and jump in the air and release pollen. Yeah, don't know. It's just sweet, isn't it?
00:19:57
Speaker
And I like how they lay eggs because I wouldn't... Of course they lay eggs because they're a Pokemon, but flowers, you think they drop seeds? Quick question, where's that egg coming from? Is it coming from their heads or under that skirt?
00:20:15
Speaker
You're thinking. oh I would assume the eggs come out from under the skirt, but I assume the pollen jizz comes out of the flowers. Yeah, but ah thought it was only the males that have the pollen.
00:20:28
Speaker
So do the females have fake... Exactly. Pollen comes from flowers. Yeah. So do they have like flowers like female hyenas have penises? Yeah.
00:20:40
Speaker
Wait, what? Female hyenas? Right, no, no, I'm not going to Google it But now I really want to know. Let's just move on. We're getting too deep. Essentially, it's the same vibe. They have the flowers. They're not sexually needed, but they're there for fun. Cosmetic, the look of it.
00:21:00
Speaker
But why would a hyena

Hypothetical Scenarios and Preferences

00:21:01
Speaker
have a penis? Because female hyenas have penises and they breed for them and then they give birth throughout them. They also have fake testicles, but this is not the point.
00:21:13
Speaker
I'm sorry, ah I blew your mind. They mount people too. You're going to have to Google this later. I'm Googling it now. Right, let's go. Let's move on.
00:21:24
Speaker
So these eggs that have now been fertilized by this beautiful dance of pollen and um dancing are January left alone afterwards, although some parents have occasionally been documented in the wild watching over their young.
00:21:39
Speaker
Oh, like that. That's cute. I like that too. Oddish would be less sad if its parents stuck around. Yeah, i agree. And I can just imagine kind of the different vibes you get being raised by Blossom.
00:21:53
Speaker
Because this, like, the whole idea of them, you know, breeding, bringing this beautiful dance and they live in they're such a pretty area and they're so happy and smiley and dancey. Versus being hatched by a vile plume where they literally hide in the dirt and wait to kill people. And everything's smelly and yellow. Yeah, it's a real different life, isn't it?
00:22:13
Speaker
Yeah, it's like yeah two completely different sides of the tracks right here. Really is. That could be a cute movie. Oh god, here we go. Also, can Belossum and Vileplume breed?
00:22:27
Speaker
I don't know. I'm gonna say no. ah would just also assume no. Feel you like we need to get away from breeding. Pokemon breeding.
00:22:39
Speaker
How? We'll save that for Ditto. god. Are you ready to move on to our question section? Absolutely. Let's go. Okay. um so you're just wondering around, where do these guys live?
00:22:51
Speaker
Just a jungle? ah jungle. We're suddenly in a jungle. Oh, damn. Yeah. We got here real quick. So you're just walking around and then you see like a weird looking three foot wide flower and you think, oh, I could touch that. That'll be fun.
00:23:09
Speaker
You suddenly see some little eyes pop out from underneath and you're like, oh no, shit, that's a vile plume. What would you do? i I think I'd just run. a i don't even think I'd wait for any pollen because I've got hay fever. i'm It's going to kill me.
00:23:25
Speaker
Yeah, you would die of allergies. You've heard me sneeze. Imagine that. You'd just be non-stop sneezing as you're trying to run away. Exactly. I'd just have to straight off go. This is not the Pokemon for you.
00:23:37
Speaker
No. No, it is not. So um you're running away from this vile plume. It's not even a good idea just to take a picture because it's just gross. Yeah, I've just got to go.
00:23:47
Speaker
Yeah, you're running. you come across a big clearing. Finally, you get some fresh air and you look down and then there's just a little blossom just doing this little dancey dance. dance What would you do?
00:23:59
Speaker
think you know what I'm doing, Claudia. That blossom is coming home with me. You pick it up, put it in your bag and leave. It's coming with me. I'm having in my garden. I'm having it entertain me day and night. Well, not night.
00:24:12
Speaker
I'm having it entertain me in the summer. I'd water it, feed it, whatever it wanted. it just gives you joy every single day. Exactly. Yeah. Can't fault that.
00:24:24
Speaker
Can't fault that at all. So what functions do you think a vile plume would have other than Bactalene? I mean, it would be great for war. just Just war? It's function is war?
00:24:38
Speaker
Like, you could clear out a whole city. Oh, just half the population just with paralysis. I mean, half it with allergies and then half the other bits with paralysis.
00:24:49
Speaker
It would be like a nuclear bomb, right? So like the centre, everyone would be paralysed. The further you got out, like, there'd just be allergies, right? Mm-hmm. And I reckon if you were to fly above of a city and drop this out of an airplane, I think it would float down because it's so big.
00:25:08
Speaker
Yeah. It'd be like its own parachute. Yeah. Okay. So war. mean, pollinating places. was going to say, like, if you could replace its pollen with something useful, like we could then like, just re like grow loads of stuff.
00:25:29
Speaker
Yeah, if you could just replace that with like grass seed, that's useful for you know just generally outside um farms. Exactly. New builds.
00:25:40
Speaker
New builds. Oh, yes. That would be good. Yeah. So it's all dependent whether or not it's still going to kill you or paralyze you. If you replace, somehow genetically modify it or torture it with various medical practices to change it,
00:25:59
Speaker
it wouldn't have pollen anymore. You'd just replace it with whatever yeah else in there. It'd be like having a pet skunk and then getting its scent glands removed. Yeah. I mean, think if I could get its poison removed, maybe I would want it.
00:26:14
Speaker
Maybe I would want to keep it, but I'm not sure if it's a risk I'm willing to take. yeah Yeah, this and it hasn't really got any more uses other than that. No. What about blossom? um Entertainment.
00:26:26
Speaker
Yes. Also, ah reckon they'd be really good in like kindergartens. Oh, it would just, and it could teach the kids how to dance. Yeah. And it could entertain them and it would just be really cute.
00:26:40
Speaker
um I feel like if you were going to like on vacation, this would be like in the hotel. yeah You could put it on the dash of your car and it could dance.
00:26:52
Speaker
I think it would be really nice also at old people's homes. Oh. Yeah, they'd love it. Yeah. Get them up and do some Zumba. Exactly. think it's got quite a lot of uses, really.
00:27:05
Speaker
And I reckon this would be like people would travel a really long distance to watch their kind of mating season ritual. Yeah, so like a really good tourist attraction. All right, because I reckon it's beautiful. Like I, in my mind, I'm seeing like the pollen being released being very glittery.
00:27:21
Speaker
Yeah, it's got to be. Yeah. It's giving me like drag queen realness. But oh, drag queen. I've not had that for ages. RuPaul's Drag Race, but Bellossoms.
00:27:33
Speaker
We need to do that. That that could be a show. That could be a show. And that should be our next watch. I love it. um So what do you reckon they both eat? Berries.
00:27:45
Speaker
Berries. ah It specifically does say that vile plume catches its prey. Vile plume eats insects. Like, I think it sucks them through that big hole.
00:27:56
Speaker
Yeah, and like, you know when like a Venus flytrap catches something and it sucks out kind of all the liquid? Yeah, and then just disposes its carcass. That's what I see. Like, a... A caterpillar would crawl on that flower. It would close over the caterpillar and then out would just... It would just look like a dry sock.
00:28:16
Speaker
Yeah, it would love her is a... Is it metapod that's liquid inside? Fucking love

Conclusion and Teaser for Next Episode

00:28:21
Speaker
a metapod. Yeah, that'd be its favourite. Yeah, that's why I hate it. ah Yeah, that still disgust me.
00:28:29
Speaker
Belossum, I think, I would say Belossum's a vegan. Absolutely. Absolutely a vegan. If it's going to be living with a Clefairy, it would probably have to be. Yeah, like oat milk only for this queen.
00:28:43
Speaker
Oh, yeah. and all the good fruit vegetables, different kinds of replacements and plant protein power. Loves the tofu. Loves tofu.
00:28:54
Speaker
Yeah. Loves an acai bowl. Oh, God. oh um Takes pictures of it for their Insta. This, Balazs would be an Instagram queen. Absolutely.
00:29:05
Speaker
An influencer on many levels. This would be so big on TikTok. Yeah. Could we eat these? ah No for the poison one because that's the general rule. Blossom.
00:29:18
Speaker
ah don't think we'd want to. o I think we could if we had to. yeah But I'm not a fan of salad. Yeah. This looks like salad.
00:29:30
Speaker
Yeah. No, I know what you mean. It's all leaves. It's a very leafy meal. But I guess if you took off the flowers and stripped off the skirt. Who knows what's underneath that skirt? you know saying?
00:29:41
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Some roots. Some roots. I reckon if we were to eat it would be like eating a potato. Oh, interesting.
00:29:52
Speaker
Maybe. That's what I imagine this would be. i like Or sweet potato. Oh, yeah. Sweet potato, I would say. ah sweet potato. Yeah. Definitely some kind of root vegetable. Oh, yeah.
00:30:05
Speaker
But like a sweet root. Yeah. not Not high up on my list, though, to eat. But if I had to, would. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. All right, finally, you're in your jungle that you you're somehow suddenly in now.
00:30:19
Speaker
And you're just walking around and you come across this little tiki hut there in the middle of this jungle. And you go in and it's a nice little bar. You know, you seem to find these bars every everywhere. You just have incredible luck.
00:30:31
Speaker
You wander in and it's completely full of just like blossoms, just dancing, having a good time. The entertainment is 10 out of 10. Ugh, I'm having the time of my life. You really are.
00:30:43
Speaker
You're in your element now and you're like, damn, all these shitty bars have led to this. I'm winning. Yeah. And you're starting to do a little bit of dancing, ah but you're not watching your feet because it's a lot of new moves to learn and these guys are only a foot tall, and so they're a little bit hard to spot. And you accidentally knock into a vile plume who instantly gets pissed off because he's got nothing going on behind his eyes.
00:31:07
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. And he's starting to vibrate his petals and it's going to be a fight. Who will win? If we take out the fact he can paralyze me, right? If we ignore that, I'd definitely give it a go.
00:31:25
Speaker
And I'll tell you what, I'd start by pulling those petals off him. Interesting. Yeah. because I feel like without the petals, he's nothing. Right. He's just going to be a hole.
00:31:36
Speaker
Yeah. He's all petal. And then easy just to beat down after that. Yeah, exactly. And petals are easy to pull off flowers. Exactly. so I'm thinking that's the way I'd go.
00:31:49
Speaker
But obviously, only if he doesn't paralyze me first. Yeah, or just you just just be you sneezing as you're pulling off his... My sneezes are powerful, though.
00:32:01
Speaker
You could use that to your advantage. I could, yeah. Put your whole body into that sneeze and just keep ripping off. Woohoo! That's you! Pull off those leaves.
00:32:12
Speaker
Yeah, I think you definitely give it a go. And I think this thing is scary enough to really give you that adrenaline. Yeah, that's what I think. Okay. You give it a good go.
00:32:23
Speaker
Absolutely. And it's one of those things you don't know how this is going to turn out unless you get in there. Yeah. It's kind of one that if I don't do it, I'd regret it. Yeah. Yeah. and you And you'll never know if you'll be able to do it. You might lose, but also you might win. Just looking at it seems pretty even sized up to me. yeah Yeah. No, I'm with you.
00:32:43
Speaker
So um you're beating on this vial plume. You're pulling off his petals. Yeah. We'll say and in this situation you win. yeah he's He's running off naked. Nice. would To probably die yeah out by himself now because he has nothing going for him.
00:33:01
Speaker
And you start doing a little celebratory dance and you accidentally step on a blossom the whole thing and it's dead. And you didn't realize that that this blossom's best friend is also there and is now very upset.
00:33:18
Speaker
who would win in this fight? Me? and i Yeah. You just told me I stepped on one and killed it. I'm obviously going win. it I feel like it would hurt your soul a little bit to kill to kill another one.
00:33:32
Speaker
I would absolutely be beside myself, but you know... You could go through the same technique and pull off all the leaves and all the flowers and it would just be running out like fucking gingerbread man from Shrek. What could just do was just kick it.
00:33:48
Speaker
You could. They're small. Yeah. So either way, I'm having that one. Yeah. Hands down. Yeah. this is I don't think this is a Pokemon for battles. This is a Pokemon for looks.
00:33:59
Speaker
Absolutely. And looks alone. isn Okay, that's it. We're finished with our Oddish family. i am obsessed with Bell Blossom. And that's it.
00:34:09
Speaker
And Gloom. And Gloom. Yeah. Oddish was all right. Yeah. Ardish was Ardish. There isn't really anything about it, but also we didn't expect anything about it. No. And Vileplume has grown on me in the sense that it's actually kind of cool, but also really stupid. Like, why does it not have a neck?
00:34:30
Speaker
And why does it specifically say it struggles to hold its head up? It doesn't have a neck. Exactly. So, like, once they sort that out, I don't know. Either way. Vileplube is very disappointing when you come from gloom because we like him so much.
00:34:44
Speaker
But I think Pokemon redeemed itself in its second generation by adding Belossom. Absolutely. Belossom is stunning. A work of art. It's the evolution we deserved the whole time. It is. It's Picasso.
00:34:59
Speaker
Picasso. And ah do you have any idea what we're doing next week? No. We'll be doing the Paris family. ah But i do i do promise it's a good one.
00:35:14
Speaker
ah I'll believe you. Thousands won't. And that's it for today. Have a bellissimo night. No, it didn't work. yeah Like a plume of smoke. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's good.
00:35:30
Speaker
You're better with the pans than me. For once. See you later. Bye.
