Introduction of Dr. Robin McKay and her spiritual intelligence background
00:00:05
Speaker
Bigger talks, bigger talks.
00:00:08
Speaker
Another episode in this episode is going to be so special and so amazing.
00:00:14
Speaker
I have Dr. Robin McKay.
00:00:17
Speaker
She's a psychologist, executive coach, keynote speaker, packed with so much spiritual intelligence, and she's going to
00:00:28
Speaker
give us the insights, the downloads, the intuitive information that we all need to know ourselves, heal ourselves, to be our most authentic self and be vulnerable.
00:00:39
Speaker
So Dr. Robin McKay, welcome to Bigger Talks.
00:00:43
Speaker
Thank you for being here.
00:00:44
Speaker
How are you today?
00:00:46
Speaker
It's a bright, sunshiny day here in the desert.
00:00:49
Speaker
I just got done with my personal training session and got to listen to a couple of episodes from your
00:00:56
Speaker
podcast and I'm so excited to be here with you.
00:01:00
Speaker
Well, thank you for being here.
00:01:02
Speaker
Guys, you can't see her, but I can.
00:01:05
Speaker
She's vibrating very high.
00:01:06
Speaker
Vibrations are extremely high.
00:01:09
Speaker
She just finished the workout, she says.
00:01:10
Speaker
So that makes sense.
00:01:11
Speaker
I always say motion changes emotion.
00:01:14
Speaker
And it's more than just the body.
00:01:17
Speaker
It's about a feeling.
00:01:18
Speaker
It's about the vibe you get from it.
Dr. McKay's upbringing and the development of empathy and boundaries
00:01:20
Speaker
So let's just tell some of the listeners who is Dr. Robert McKay.
00:01:26
Speaker
Where are you from?
00:01:27
Speaker
How did you get started to being a psychologist?
00:01:31
Speaker
Who are you and what was your turn of point to tap into helping people help themselves?
00:01:37
Speaker
I love all those questions.
00:01:39
Speaker
You know, I'm a South Dakota girl.
00:01:40
Speaker
I grew up in the Black Hills.
00:01:42
Speaker
Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane had their graves sites blocks away from where I grew up.
00:01:47
Speaker
So I grew up in a very small community.
00:01:49
Speaker
My dad and mom were both teachers.
00:01:53
Speaker
And they were both intuitive as well, as a matter of fact.
00:01:57
Speaker
I grew up Catholic, and so praying and being part of the church and part of the community was just a thing that I always did.
00:02:05
Speaker
But at the same time, I was a scientist.
00:02:08
Speaker
I got my first microscope when I was 10, and I was so disappointed in Light Source.
00:02:17
Speaker
What do you know about that?
00:02:19
Speaker
I guess later in my career, I got to actually use big high powered microscopes, but I was a science girl and I was also very intuitive and spiritual the whole time I was growing up as well.
00:02:28
Speaker
It was a very interesting combination when a lot of people weren't that.
00:02:33
Speaker
So I felt a little bit like, uh, like I was out of place.
00:02:38
Speaker
Like I didn't quite fit in to what everybody else was doing and thinking.
00:02:42
Speaker
Does that make sense?
00:02:43
Speaker
Yes, it makes a lot of sense.
00:02:45
Speaker
Were you an empath?
00:02:45
Speaker
Are you still an empath?
00:02:47
Speaker
Do you feel energy very strongly at times?
00:02:51
Speaker
I think that where I've landed on empathy is that we need more of it in our world, certainly.
00:02:56
Speaker
But there are some of us who are quite empathic.
00:02:59
Speaker
In fact, those of us who are, this might sound strong, but I think it means more that we have bad boundaries than anything else.
00:03:05
Speaker
I think we need to shore up our boundaries because we don't have to feel everything to observe what's going on.
00:03:12
Speaker
Well, can you say that again?
00:03:13
Speaker
That was powerful.
00:03:14
Speaker
I've never heard that format.
00:03:16
Speaker
Can you say that again?
00:03:17
Speaker
So empathetic people have bad boundaries.
00:03:21
Speaker
Yes, I can relate.
00:03:22
Speaker
Just in a nutshell.
00:03:23
Speaker
In other words, when you've got open borders on your own auric field, you're talking about how it's glowing earlier, your aura, your field of energy that surrounds you, and you feel everything.
00:03:35
Speaker
not only that but we have mirror neurons in our brains that read other people's emotions as well those of us who have those highly developed neurons feel everything we don't know maybe you can relate to this from when you're a little kid and you feel something you just think it's yours
00:03:50
Speaker
So when you get ready to take a test or you get ready to give a speech or whatever it is, and you start feeling nervous, even though you were calm, full and collected right before that, it may be Susie sitting behind you chattering about how she didn't study for anything.
Balancing science with spiritual intuition and the role of intuition
00:04:05
Speaker
did you study for this?
00:04:05
Speaker
And what did you study for that?
00:04:07
Speaker
You feel your own energy, your own emotions rising, and it's not even your energy.
00:04:12
Speaker
It's not even your emotions.
00:04:14
Speaker
So we have to become more discerning about what we're feeling.
00:04:20
Speaker
More discernment about what we're feeling.
00:04:21
Speaker
We have to create those boundaries because from what you said, since a young child, you are a light worker.
00:04:28
Speaker
And you were bringing the light and you was feeling maybe some light or maybe some dark from others.
00:04:33
Speaker
That becomes your emotions and your thoughts and maybe your intentions.
00:04:37
Speaker
I like to say, you know, sometimes your environment creates your reality.
00:04:42
Speaker
Most times it does.
00:04:43
Speaker
But if you have the wrong people in your aura feel, right?
00:04:46
Speaker
you can pick up energies, you can pick up thoughts and start thinking things you don't want to think and feel the things you don't want to feel.
00:04:53
Speaker
I want to speak on the scientific science versus spirit, right?
00:05:00
Speaker
You know, I have people that I know say, well, you got to trust science.
00:05:03
Speaker
And my spirit is like, no,
00:05:05
Speaker
I don't feel that.
00:05:07
Speaker
I don't feel what you're saying, but I respect it.
00:05:09
Speaker
But my spirit is like, no logic and no reason can make my spirit make sense for what you're saying, but I respect it.
00:05:15
Speaker
Can you speak on what is science versus what is spirit?
00:05:22
Speaker
Wow, you just went right to it.
00:05:23
Speaker
That's the heart of everything, isn't it?
00:05:27
Speaker
And as a, I like to say, I'm a former scientist.
00:05:29
Speaker
I think that there is a place for science.
00:05:31
Speaker
I think that science is a way of knowing.
00:05:33
Speaker
It's a way of understanding.
00:05:35
Speaker
But I do think that where science has gone, especially with our lived experiences, is to block us from experiencing our direct connection with other people, with the world, and with our own intuition.
00:05:54
Speaker
That's amazing, the block.
00:05:55
Speaker
I've never heard that.
00:05:56
Speaker
It's like blocking what we think should be true based on what we're seeing on a physical realm, but the spiritual realm or with the stats or with the facts or with the research has said, but the spirit doesn't agree, but yet the science might take over the spirit if we don't have enough information to understand the spirit.
00:06:15
Speaker
Don't you think that we spend a lot of time gaslighting our intuition?
00:06:18
Speaker
Like you can know something, but then other people around you will say something different and they'll point to science, but you know that you know, and then you make yourself wrong because it doesn't.
00:06:34
Speaker
Stop gaslighting your intuition.
00:06:36
Speaker
Please, she got gems all day.
00:06:38
Speaker
Do not, I repeat, do not.
00:06:40
Speaker
This is from Dr. Rob McKay.
00:06:42
Speaker
Do not gaslight your intuition.
00:06:44
Speaker
Please listen to your intuition.
00:06:46
Speaker
Please follow that gut.
00:06:49
Speaker
Oh, that is so good and it's so true because as a child, I felt things I didn't understand.
00:06:55
Speaker
So it didn't make sense for me to,
00:06:58
Speaker
be conveyed about them or feel convicted in them because I didn't have enough information or logic to make it make sense.
00:07:05
Speaker
And then over time I said, you know what?
00:07:08
Speaker
There's a thing where I believe knowing is more than believing because your beliefs can be wrong, but what you know, you know, and sometimes you don't even have the answers to back up what you know.
00:07:19
Speaker
And I feel like that's the spirit.
00:07:21
Speaker
That's that God-like, that's that download.
00:07:24
Speaker
That's that you just constantly like, sometimes when I'm speaking, I'll get a,
00:07:28
Speaker
something comes to my spirit and just comes through.
00:07:30
Speaker
I can't explain what is, how did you get that?
00:07:34
Speaker
It's coming through.
00:07:35
Speaker
This is the energy we're in, but yeah, gaslighting your intuition.
00:07:40
Speaker
I want to move into the gut versus intuition, right?
00:07:45
Speaker
We had science and spirit.
00:07:47
Speaker
Let's go into the gut versus intuition because myself, I'm very spiritual, very attuned to my emotions and feelings as well as others.
00:07:57
Speaker
But they say like your gut is really like your first brain, but then I'm like, is your gut your intuition, is your intuition your gut to people listening?
00:08:07
Speaker
Can you elaborate or break down what the difference is between the two?
00:08:12
Speaker
If any, yes, I can.
00:08:14
Speaker
In fact, you're right, the gut is the first brain, like 95% of our serotonin is located in our bellies in our guts.
00:08:22
Speaker
So we know that there's a lot going on in our GI track that can tell us a lot about the world.
00:08:28
Speaker
Our gut instinct is one of the ways that intuition speaks to us.
00:08:32
Speaker
There are four major channels of intuition that I would call clairsentience clear feeling.
00:08:39
Speaker
So when you are aligned, when you are feeling your best, your gut instinct is going to be spot on.
00:08:47
Speaker
But when you've got a lot of static, a lot of noise, a lot of disruption in your energy field from the people around you, from the substances you're putting into your body and so on, that disrupts intuition.
00:09:01
Speaker
It disrupts your gut feeling even.
00:09:03
Speaker
So you might be misreading situations or scenarios or even feelings,
00:09:09
Speaker
just based on how clear your field is.
00:09:14
Speaker
I have a teacher who said this once to me, she said, there's a fine line between being psychic and being psychotic.
00:09:20
Speaker
And I think that it has to do with the frequencies that you're running on.
00:09:23
Speaker
So when you are connected with source, when you are connected with God and you're doing your meditations, you're doing your exercises, you're eating clean, doing all of the things that we know are
00:09:34
Speaker
proper and appropriate spiritual hygiene or energetic hygiene practices, then you're a clear channel.
00:09:42
Speaker
But if you're eating junk food and, you know, laying on the couch all day watching Netflix and scrolling through social media, the likelihood that
00:09:52
Speaker
your intuitive channels, whether it's the felt sense or the other, the three other channels, there's a great likelihood that those are being interfered with.
00:10:00
Speaker
Your consciousness is being interfered with based on what you're putting into your system.
00:10:05
Speaker
So what you're saying is that what we consume, you know, that be food, what we listen to, the energy that we're putting out, allowing into our space, the music we listen to, the conversations we have, the books we read, stuff we're watching and scrolling on Instagram.
00:10:20
Speaker
you can if not lifted lifting or uh fulfilling or good can affect that gut instinct and have a static on that spiritual internal channel where we might not be on a clear channel right exactly so that's the gut now is the gut the intuition or is part of the intuition or are there two separate entities is it the same thing well i think about intuition as a
00:10:51
Speaker
It's part of your it's part of the how the brain operates.
00:10:54
Speaker
It's part of how your system operates.
00:10:56
Speaker
So the gut is one of, I would say a channel of intuition.
00:10:59
Speaker
So that would be what I would call clairsentience.
00:11:01
Speaker
There's also clairvoyance, which is clear seeing it's being able to see around corners to use your imagination to create what you want to create.
00:11:11
Speaker
But here's the thing about clear seeing clairvoyance.
00:11:15
Speaker
When you're not feeling your best.
00:11:16
Speaker
So when you're feeling anxious or depressed or worried or scared, guess where your imagination goes right down into the bad neighborhood where worst case scenarios, terrible, awful, horrible things happen in your imagination.
00:11:32
Speaker
When you're clear, when you're feeling your best guess what's possible in the intuition in the clear seeing
00:11:40
Speaker
you get to see what the best of what is possible, the highest potential for what's possible for your life, abundance, grace, joy, all of those frequencies are what's possible also in our future.
00:11:53
Speaker
But that gets distorted again when your, when your system is disrupted by the things that you're consuming.
00:12:01
Speaker
Yeah, you're not on a clear channel.
00:12:03
Speaker
So to some of us listening, I grew up in Baltimore City, a very hostile, negative environment.
Impact of environments and trauma on intuition development
00:12:10
Speaker
And as a child, I suppressed my feelings and emotions.
00:12:15
Speaker
I just had to be strong.
00:12:17
Speaker
I wasn't vulnerable.
00:12:18
Speaker
I didn't know how to be.
00:12:20
Speaker
I've come across in my lifetime people or several individuals who are addicted either to misery, negativity,
00:12:33
Speaker
So when it's time to be in the light or to be on a clear channel or to be fulfilling or fulfill, they run because the light is intimidating and the dark, the shadow self, the shadow of things is more welcoming because it's a conditioned state, right?
00:12:51
Speaker
How do you get a person to kind of
00:12:56
Speaker
embark or come into a more balanced channel or more into like their light self where they can understand it.
00:13:02
Speaker
It's like in a relationship if you grow up with mom and dad being single or be abusive to one another that's your blueprint in a relationship so that's how you see love.
00:13:11
Speaker
So when a healthy person comes into your life and try to give you that you don't know how to embrace it because it's not on your normal channel.
00:13:20
Speaker
you know, transfer or transcend or get to that level of true light or true just feeling fulfilled without being challenged in a way because some people are afraid of their light side.
00:13:35
Speaker
There's so many ways that we could go to answer that question.
00:13:40
Speaker
And what I'll say is this.
00:13:41
Speaker
First of all, growing up in a hostile environment creates the conditions for your intuition to arise.
00:13:47
Speaker
I call it the spidey sense.
00:13:50
Speaker
I have clients who'd tell me that when they were kids, they could tell by the way mom closed the door when she got home from work, how they had to be for the rest of the night.
00:14:00
Speaker
It was that acute, right?
00:14:02
Speaker
Or if you're out with your friends and you get a sudden, or like, I need to get out of here and you get out of here and five minutes later, something bad happens at that very place where you were.
00:14:12
Speaker
I have chills when I'm talking about that.
00:14:14
Speaker
Yeah, I'm on board.
00:14:15
Speaker
I got the visions in my head as we talking.
00:14:17
Speaker
I remember someone was trying to rock, like, go ahead, I'm sorry.
00:14:19
Speaker
Yeah, so no, and I really do have chills as I'm talking about that because that's such a reality for so many people, whether they grew up in an abusive environment,
00:14:30
Speaker
alcoholic environment, whatever, we grow up in these hostile conditions, which create the conditions for our intuition to come online in the first place.
00:14:38
Speaker
Eventually, what we have, nobody has to do anything.
00:14:42
Speaker
So I say this kind of tongue in cheek, but when you choose to extract the trauma
00:14:49
Speaker
We all have trauma too, whether it rises to the level of a clinical diagnosis or not is sort of beside the point.
00:14:54
Speaker
I mean, there are many people whose trauma does, but even those everyday micro traumas, if you will, create a disruption in the energetic field.
00:15:04
Speaker
So if we want to shift from light to dark, if we want to start walking in our highest potential,
00:15:11
Speaker
The thing that blocks most of us from all the things we want, whether it's abundance, a positive, happy, loving relationship, anything like that is trauma.
00:15:20
Speaker
So we, we, we owe it to ourselves.
00:15:22
Speaker
And I think we owe it to our communities as well to clear the traumas that are kind of
00:15:31
Speaker
we're filtering our whole lives through.
00:15:34
Speaker
They get to the root of the, you know, the situation or the thing that's.
00:15:37
Speaker
Yeah, the root cause, all of the effects, the records and the memories of those traumas so that not that you forget them.
00:15:46
Speaker
Because I think that our memories create a tapestry in our lives that inform and advise us as we go through our lives, but to clear them so that they're no longer leading us around by a ring in our nose.
00:15:59
Speaker
And we're making all of our decisions through the lens of trauma, rather than that, we're making all of our decisions through the lens of being an actualized person, being a person who, even if I'm still sometimes experiencing the effects of trauma, I'm resilient.
00:16:17
Speaker
I can bounce back from that much more easily than somebody who, to your point, gets addicted to the trauma, drama, adrenaline,
00:16:28
Speaker
Oh, that feels so that adrenaline feels so good.
00:16:32
Speaker
And yet it's so toxic as well as toxic to your body.
00:16:35
Speaker
It's toxic to your life as well.
Psychology of overcoming adversity and thriving beyond survival
00:16:38
Speaker
yeah and it's beautiful you put the way you said it because you know that scarcity mindset you know that fear mindset versus you know the growth or coming from a loving place is different but some people they look for something bad to happen they look for the negativity they look for the loophole oh no you're just trying to do that because you want to take advantage of me or you want to control me uh
00:17:02
Speaker
But the spidey senses are so true.
00:17:04
Speaker
Just to go back a few, I remember I was probably 16, it's night, nine o'clock, and I was walking down a block and I made a left, it's dark outside, and I saw a guy behind me.
00:17:16
Speaker
I'm like, who's this guy?
00:17:17
Speaker
And so I would just walk faster to like a corner.
00:17:21
Speaker
When I got to the corner, my spirit was like,
00:17:24
Speaker
sprint to the bottom of the hill.
00:17:26
Speaker
And when I sprint to the bottom of the hill, I looked up and a guy was like walking by and I was like, he was on to me.
00:17:33
Speaker
So thank God for the spidey senses.
00:17:37
Speaker
And I think with most people in those spaces, depending on who the person is or the people,
00:17:43
Speaker
they sometimes suppress it because the situation doesn't make sense.
00:17:48
Speaker
Like their spirit or the spidey senses is telling them, remove yourself, call your mother, look at your phone.
00:17:56
Speaker
It's really subtle, but if they're not attuned to who they are, they can kind of miss out on a lot of great opportunities.
00:18:03
Speaker
Yeah, think about if you would have gaslit yourself.
00:18:06
Speaker
in that moment if you hadn't run if you would have you know turned around and bossed up to him or something like that i can't believe i just said that that i don't know where that came from i'm gen x who says boss up when you're gen x but if you had turned up if you had turned back and and fought rather than ran you're we may not be here today
00:18:28
Speaker
Right, but that's from the spirit.
00:18:29
Speaker
That was your spotty senses talking about the vibration of the genesis, the vibration of the people in that moment feel like they should boss up.
00:18:36
Speaker
That's the ego, right?
00:18:38
Speaker
When you're in the ego, you ease God out and then you potentially could take yourself out because you're trying to boss up to a vibration that's trying to boss you down that you're not even prepared for.
00:18:49
Speaker
You know, I think it occurs to me too, in that moment, I was so able to see so clearly what you're describing there.
00:18:55
Speaker
And one of the things that I talk about in transforming trauma is what I call soul retrieval.
00:19:00
Speaker
And if you can still see yourself in that moment, there's a great likelihood that
00:19:06
Speaker
that part of your consciousness continues to be activated in that memory.
00:19:12
Speaker
So we can just call that aspect of you back into this present moment.
00:19:16
Speaker
There's a gift that that part of you has for you.
00:19:19
Speaker
that's required right now.
00:19:21
Speaker
And that's such a it's such a subtle thing, but it's so important to just pull all of the parts of our consciousness back into the present moment, not so that we can re experience the trauma.
00:19:30
Speaker
That's not the point of it.
00:19:31
Speaker
We send the trauma into the heart of God for transformation, but we bring back and pull in the gifts from those moments that
00:19:39
Speaker
something got stolen from us energetically or hijacked or traumatized in some other way.
00:19:46
Speaker
And we just pull all of that back into the present moment into our hearts so that we then become whole.
00:19:51
Speaker
Because I think that one of the reasons people are so addicted to the drama, trauma, adrenaline cycles is that they don't feel whole inside.
00:19:58
Speaker
There's there's a hole that they're trying to fill.
00:20:01
Speaker
Some people say it's a God sized hole, but I definitely think it's a spirit.
00:20:05
Speaker
It's part of your spirit that's been
00:20:08
Speaker
absent from that part of your part of your consciousness so you when you call those parts back to yourself you experience the wholeness yeah and then there's no room for addiction and there's no room for drama trauma because you're filled up with yourself
00:20:24
Speaker
And that was a way for me to build trust within myself because I was young, I was by myself.
00:20:29
Speaker
And so over time, the course of my life, those moments like that, or patterns of moments that I can say my intuition was correct.
00:20:36
Speaker
Yes, it helped me and got me out of where I needed to be in the moment.
00:20:41
Speaker
And I would also say that you have been
00:20:45
Speaker
some of these were just came through just living a charmed life as well, a protected life, a life that you've been guided so that even in those situations that may have turned out another way, you've been very protected throughout your life.
00:21:01
Speaker
And that's such a such a grace that you have had access to.
00:21:06
Speaker
Thank goodness, because now you're doing your work in the world.
00:21:09
Speaker
And I love it and is fulfilling.
00:21:11
Speaker
My mom told me 25.
00:21:13
Speaker
She said, you know, you had a twin that was a girl and she didn't make it.
00:21:17
Speaker
So I believe that energy, that entity lives within you and that's why your energy is the way it is.
00:21:23
Speaker
So I really believe it's that guiding light, you know, through God, through my twin that wasn't here, that's still here, present, but within.
00:21:31
Speaker
That's protecting me from,
00:21:33
Speaker
you know whatever that could have happened in the past or in the future in the moment so uh it's interesting because you know when you're a kid and you're getting these intense feelings and stuff is coming to you and you just don't know what it is and you're not comfortable and then you just start to trust right you start to embrace because growing up in a negative environment being in that dark space i saw the effects and the effects of it right that affected not only my mind you know my lifestyle and my family and it's
00:22:02
Speaker
Daryl Davis- Is interesting because there's a thing that come across that I think about pain and pleasure right for some people that pain is their pleasure pleasure is pain but there's also a note of.
00:22:12
Speaker
Daryl Davis- How is one able to use pain to prosper right and I don't want to say this is a consistent pattern, but from people are coach to people, I know there's some pain in their life.
00:22:26
Speaker
that compelled them, even myself, to have great success or momentum to get where they wanna go.
00:22:32
Speaker
What is that and why is it that way?
00:22:34
Speaker
Is there some type of, you know?
00:22:36
Speaker
Yeah, the psychology behind that is that we move away from pain.
00:22:40
Speaker
And so we create these conditions in our lives that we then have to get ourselves out of.
00:22:47
Speaker
So the human spirit over the course of generations has been conditioned to continue to pull ourselves out of
00:22:55
Speaker
whatever situation we're in to thrive, to prosper, to do it.
00:22:59
Speaker
Everybody loves the rags to riches story.
00:23:02
Speaker
That's something that is embedded in our culture.
00:23:05
Speaker
I've reached a point in my career and I've gone through my own trauma healing trauma recovery as well.
00:23:11
Speaker
So I've been, I've been in, you know, in a ball sweeping on my floor, gnashing my teeth.
00:23:18
Speaker
And, you know, it's not pretty crying when that happens for me, but.
00:23:23
Speaker
Now that I'm on the other side of that, and my life has grown and prospered in so many ways, I'm sitting here on a new project, one that I'm so excited about and looking forward to, and there's no pain to it.
00:23:37
Speaker
And part of me is like, I don't know what to do.
00:23:39
Speaker
Like, I don't have to dig myself out of a hole.
00:23:42
Speaker
Like, how do I do this now that I don't have to
00:23:45
Speaker
that it's not an emergency.
00:23:47
Speaker
This is an opportunity to actualize rather than just to get out of survival mode.
00:23:53
Speaker
We turn ourselves into projects so often.
00:23:57
Speaker
Human doings versus human beings.
00:24:02
Speaker
You're so powerful.
00:24:03
Speaker
I can feel your energy.
00:24:05
Speaker
And it's so true because when you get to that space where you're like,
00:24:10
Speaker
I got to a point where I'm looking for something to fix.
00:24:12
Speaker
I'm looking for some resistance.
00:24:13
Speaker
I'm looking for, where is that?
00:24:16
Speaker
And there's nothing there.
00:24:17
Speaker
There's nothing there.
00:24:17
Speaker
It's like, no, go create.
00:24:19
Speaker
No one really needs you to what you think you do.
00:24:21
Speaker
You're being codependent.
00:24:22
Speaker
You're dependent on people to depend on you to be yourself.
00:24:25
Speaker
Now that day is over those moments and those years are over.
00:24:29
Speaker
Now what you're going to do, you have to really actualize and say, what do I want?
00:24:33
Speaker
Cause a lot of that was out of fear, out of obligation, out of what was put on me as a child.
00:24:39
Speaker
but I'm not there.
00:24:40
Speaker
And so now on this side, it's fulfilling to have these conversations to be, you know, dialed into the spirit and, you know, the flesh at times.
00:24:49
Speaker
But I want to talk about, cause I was on your website and I saw something about, is it Akashic or acoustic record?
00:24:56
Speaker
It's like the Akashic record.
00:24:58
Speaker
So I got my Akashic record read like maybe seven years ago.
00:25:03
Speaker
And my biggest challenge, most of my life was receiving, right?
00:25:06
Speaker
My challenge was receiving, I'm really good at giving.
00:25:09
Speaker
And I was asking, it's like, can you ask the divine, like, how do I receive?
00:25:13
Speaker
And she said, well, your wealth is spiritual, but all you have to do is smile and say thank you.
00:25:18
Speaker
And I'm like, what?
00:25:20
Speaker
Smile and say thank you?
00:25:22
Speaker
You know, I'm 27, maybe 28, 26.
00:25:25
Speaker
I was like... It's that easy?
00:25:31
Speaker
And then I went into like a facility next week, Proactive Sports out here in Westlake.
00:25:36
Speaker
And the owner was like, man, you don't owe me anything in here, man.
00:25:39
Speaker
Just bring your energy and just smile.
00:25:44
Speaker
So, you know, can you explain to people what that is?
00:25:46
Speaker
I don't have to spend too much time, so I want to get into what you actually do and how you can help people and how people can reach out and get your services and what you bring to the world.
00:25:56
Speaker
You know, I've always been intuitive, as we've talked about.
00:26:03
Speaker
Amy Nunez- Really diving deep and mastering the work in the Akashic records that's when my life began to transform and that's when my work with other people just accelerated.
00:26:14
Speaker
Amy Nunez- You know the Akashic records are if you think about i'm a reader, so I think about libraries, so if you think about the Akashic records as the library of Congress for your soul.
00:26:26
Speaker
So it's all of the information.
00:26:29
Speaker
All of the experiences, all of the wisdom, knowledge, trauma, even that you as an individual soul have experienced from the time you articulated from source, from the time you were created and follows you all the way through infinity.
00:26:46
Speaker
The Akashic records are love and truth.
00:26:49
Speaker
And when you're operating from the field of pure love and pure truth, the transformations are sort of effortless.
00:26:59
Speaker
beautiful isn't that and i know you can feel that like the records just dropped in as we were talking yeah they just dropped in i just got a visual because i'm going back to on youtube studying you talked about people in corporate america how you know they need like workers they need people you say you don't use the word until as much but you talked about if you're trying to get that uh next client entrepreneur and you're trying to get that next break
00:27:23
Speaker
How about, you know, the diving deep into yourself and doing an internal work?
00:27:28
Speaker
I say the hardest work we will ever do in life is on ourselves.
00:27:32
Speaker
And I have experience of when I work on myself and I increase my vibe and who I am, I'll attract those things on that frequency.
00:27:39
Speaker
I don't have to go out and be this human doing.
00:27:42
Speaker
I got to do all this work to get this opportunity.
00:27:45
Speaker
So what is that process and what is that flow of
00:27:50
Speaker
working on yourself that actually brings in the opportunity, brings in the money, brings in the relationship, brings in the momentum.
Emotions, success, and positive psychology's role in intuition
00:27:59
Speaker
Because I experienced it, but I can't explain it to someone for them to fully understand it.
00:28:07
Speaker
I think we can get close.
00:28:09
Speaker
So I look at frequency and frequency of emotions, particularly.
00:28:16
Speaker
So remember, I talked about trauma.
00:28:18
Speaker
I talked about anxiety, adrenaline, all of those kind of fear based emotions that we are, our culture, our world is steeped in.
00:28:28
Speaker
Those frequencies are pretty low vibe.
00:28:31
Speaker
And what the science of positive psychology actually tells us is that there's a causal and bi-directional relationship between how you feel and what you receive or what level of success you have.
00:28:45
Speaker
So the better you feel,
00:28:47
Speaker
the easier it is for you to achieve success in work, in relationships and so on.
00:28:54
Speaker
So your feelings create the conditions for success to arise.
00:28:58
Speaker
So you get on an upward spiral.
00:29:01
Speaker
Hey people, I'm smiling from here to here.
00:29:04
Speaker
Yes, it's no nice.
00:29:05
Speaker
It feels so great.
00:29:06
Speaker
I say alignment is the excitement.
00:29:08
Speaker
And when you feel great, great things happen.
00:29:12
Speaker
And now you have science to support that.
00:29:14
Speaker
Do you see how we brought science back into our conversation?
00:29:18
Speaker
There is data to support this.
00:29:20
Speaker
The science is the data of positive psychology is that happiness, well being, even optimism are these experiences that we have that create the conditions for success to arise and then success creates the conditions for more well being.
00:29:37
Speaker
She needs a voice coach or a voiceover person.
00:29:42
Speaker
I can hear her in my ear just talking to me.
00:29:44
Speaker
She's speaking the language of success, fulfillment, love, prosperity, abundance.
00:29:51
Speaker
Wow, so much joy in that moment.
00:29:57
Speaker
The doctor has spoken.
00:29:58
Speaker
She's giving you the downloads from the universe in her higher self.
00:30:03
Speaker
Because it's so simple.
00:30:06
Speaker
And this is where science supports us.
00:30:09
Speaker
We have these lived experiences.
00:30:11
Speaker
You and I both know that the better you feel, the more magnetic you are.
00:30:16
Speaker
As a psychologist, I had the opportunity to dive deep into the research of positive psychology and understand even the data that supports that.
00:30:26
Speaker
So finally, the data, the science is catching up with what we know to be intuitively true.
00:30:33
Speaker
And that's why people want to the spiritual realm and being more awoke and awaken and aware and seeing their blind spots and wanting to heal.
00:30:43
Speaker
And one of the reasons I like to bring the science of positive psychology into these conversations is for that reason when people wake up and they have these spiritual experiences or their intuition comes online and.
00:30:55
Speaker
they realize, recognize that there is so much more to the world than their five senses, because there is, they don't know what to do with that.
00:31:04
Speaker
So they automatically make themselves wrong, gaslight themselves.
00:31:07
Speaker
And then they look to other people and say, am I crazy?
00:31:10
Speaker
Well, if the person you're talking to doesn't understand either the awakening process or the science of positive psychology, they're going to look at that person and say, yeah, you're probably crazy.
00:31:20
Speaker
So now you're double gaslighted.
00:31:22
Speaker
So, so I bring in positive psychology to all these conversations because it grounds it and it gives our intellect, our reason enough information to feel settled so that our intuition can fly.
00:31:36
Speaker
Einstein is attributed with saying that intuition is a sacred gift.
00:31:42
Speaker
And reason is its faithful servant and we've created a society that honors a servant and has forgotten the gift my work and I feel like it's your work to is to bring intuition back front and Center into its rightful place as a sacred gift.
00:31:57
Speaker
sacred gift intuition is beautiful it's amazing it serves a bigger purpose than you.
00:32:03
Speaker
You can change your life if you just listen to your intuition.
00:32:06
Speaker
From a clear channel.
00:32:08
Speaker
From a clear channel.
00:32:10
Speaker
Not after eating all the potato chips and drinking Mountain Dew or Red Bull or whatever.
00:32:15
Speaker
Really from a clear channel.
00:32:17
Speaker
Yeah, and it's, it's so simple.
00:32:19
Speaker
Once you understand a language and a lingo and you know what is that that energy and that vibration is calling to your spirit.
00:32:27
Speaker
So for you as a coach, executive coach, keynote speaker, psychologist, what, where do, where is most of your work done on
00:32:37
Speaker
on a weekly, monthly, annually basis?
00:32:39
Speaker
Are you working with like corporations, Fortune 500?
00:32:41
Speaker
Because I saw that on your website.
00:32:44
Speaker
Are you working with like high, because you talk about high IQ and high EQ, which is intuition, people that you coach.
00:32:52
Speaker
How do you discern
00:32:54
Speaker
who your clients are or do you attract them when you're saying high IQ and high EQ?
00:33:00
Speaker
Because I've come into contact with people who have very high IQ, but the EQ is quite low.
00:33:09
Speaker
You know them from the moment you see them.
00:33:12
Speaker
And there is that sweet spot, isn't there, between the people who are intuitive and smart.
00:33:18
Speaker
So being intelligent just means that you've got a fast processing speed.
00:33:21
Speaker
You're able to figure things out quickly.
00:33:23
Speaker
make sense of things and know what to do about them.
00:33:26
Speaker
Being emotionally intelligent or spiritually intelligent means that you've got a capacity to read and understand other people's emotions, to manage your own emotions and other people's emotions, and to be able to tap into those higher levels of consciousness that we've talked about to alter consciousness, in fact, in the service of yourself or another person.
00:33:46
Speaker
So what I don't necessarily start the conversation like that.
00:33:54
Speaker
Sarah Rayman, Like this, are you familiar with the X men and Professor Xavier do you know do you know X men Xavier has the cerebro and he goes into cerebro and puts and then he finds all the mutants yeah.
00:34:06
Speaker
Dr. And calls them in because his job is to help them protect them help them thrive that's it's a little bit like that honestly for me.
00:34:15
Speaker
Dr. i've got a kind of a sixth sense when it comes to the people who are meant to be working with me, it matters less about their gender or how they identify as male or female and so much more about that combination of intuition plus.
00:34:29
Speaker
intelligence they are the creators they're the innovators but they're also they also have that sweet open heart that sometimes gets wounded yeah because it's sweet and open yes wow that that's amazing it's something that came through for me from you for me for the people i deal with and i attract and it makes sense because i believe in uh you know you have material currency
00:34:56
Speaker
then you have spiritual currency.
00:34:59
Speaker
And some of us have tons of material currency, but spiritual bank account is very empty, it's very low, and we don't even want to look at it like some people don't want to look into the material bank accounts.
00:35:09
Speaker
I'm at a point where,
00:35:14
Speaker
get in a space where you finding people who had the wealth and the business, high EQ, how do we make a balance or increase their EQ, their spiritual currency, their spiritual intelligence, where they can trust themselves the way they trust their product or their business?
00:35:30
Speaker
You know, because sometimes I tell clients, I say, listen, I don't want your business to be successful, but your body to be in pain, right?
00:35:40
Speaker
Because, oh, it looks great.
00:35:41
Speaker
Everything looks great, but you don't feel great.
00:35:44
Speaker
And I think coming into the age of the Aquarius and, you know, moving to a new dimension, we have to become spiritually aware if we want to have a fulfilled life without money, you know, just be happy just to wake up and see the sun and see, look at the sky and
00:36:00
Speaker
TAB, Mark McIntyre, Talk to your partner or friend.
00:36:02
Speaker
TAB, Mark McIntyre, The way you spoke on so it sounds like for you and your client base you attract them based on the frequencies you send out or more so you don't use them they choose you right.
00:36:17
Speaker
TAB, Yes, and you put yourself in the right place to in the right communities, so a lot of times I talked to women engineers and women.
00:36:27
Speaker
Those are my two groups who I just adore working with.
00:36:32
Speaker
They're my people.
00:36:33
Speaker
And because I've worked with them for so many years, I know them probably better than anybody on the planet knows women physicians and engineers.
00:36:41
Speaker
So that becomes just a really easy conversation.
00:36:44
Speaker
Stephanie Falkers, When they're burned out or they're bumping up against their glass ceiling or for the entrepreneurs, those who have left corporate and moved into the entrepreneur space.
00:36:54
Speaker
Stephanie Falkers, Then integrating their spiritual intelligence to what they're doing in entrepreneurship as well, because, to your point.
00:37:01
Speaker
We don't want to just create businesses for the sake of making money now we're creating businesses for the sake of creating a movement or for the sake of making an impact or making a contribution to the world so there's a there's a divine connection between an entrepreneur and his or her business.
00:37:21
Speaker
It's no longer you're the master and your business is like a servant to you.
00:37:27
Speaker
Now it's a partnership, but we have to move into that direction of understanding.
00:37:31
Speaker
I think a lot of times what people, whether they're successful entrepreneurs or they're in the corporate space or in entertainment or anywhere, they hide that intuition because it's still something that isn't like, what is that?
00:37:43
Speaker
How do you know that?
00:37:45
Speaker
And if you don't know that, you better be able to reverse engineer how you know it.
00:37:48
Speaker
Otherwise, there's no credibility to it.
00:37:51
Speaker
So that's that reversing what what's primary, right?
00:37:56
Speaker
The intuition needs to be primary and the reason needs to back it up and support it versus what's actually going on in our world.
00:38:04
Speaker
Having a dichotomy of both and using it to serve all purposes and all people because the intuition can help you make better business decisions because sometimes decision fatigue because we have so much going on.
00:38:16
Speaker
But the spirit to tell you,
00:38:18
Speaker
Okay, you might want to continue to read that book or write this evaluation.
00:38:22
Speaker
Spirit is saying stop and go take a nap.
00:38:25
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- Yes, or go play.
00:38:26
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- Go play.
00:38:27
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- Because that's been my problem at times, I want to suppress my joy because i'm looking for results, but the results are numbers like.
00:38:32
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- Go play and that's how you get the results.
00:38:35
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- it's not get the results and not play you go play and the results come on my oh because it's my energy, because if i'm playing and i'm you know exuberant and i'm having fun is the universe oh yeah.
00:38:49
Speaker
results come on over right don't you think that part of that is the culture of grit tenacity hard work all of that nonsense that up until probably 2020 worked pretty well but like after 2020 like forget it like forget it
00:39:05
Speaker
We need something so different from
Incorporating joy and play for life success
00:39:07
Speaker
We need the hope and the optimism and the gratitude and the joy.
00:39:12
Speaker
That's what's to come for us.
00:39:13
Speaker
And I will say this too, I use the Akashic Records every single day to work in my business.
00:39:19
Speaker
That's where I get the information about where to go next and what to do next.
00:39:27
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- How yourself that's amazing.
00:39:29
Speaker
So you talked about your Facebook group.
00:39:32
Speaker
You have a Facebook group.
00:39:32
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- Yeah, I can people get into this Facebook group.
00:39:35
Speaker
What's the name of it.
00:39:36
Speaker
Where do we find you.
00:39:37
Speaker
We want to know we want to be in your world.
00:39:40
Speaker
Tanya Hertz- Learning from you and hearing from you and feeling your vibration you remind me of a
00:39:48
Speaker
You know, I have the book, You Can Heal Your Life, Louise Hay.
00:39:50
Speaker
You have some of her energy.
00:39:53
Speaker
I forgot, I think the other, maybe she's a psychologist, Maria Steele, I think.
00:39:58
Speaker
I think he's from London.
00:40:00
Speaker
Dr. And it's another person I can't remember, but you remind me of you, but I'm just saying like you have so much you're more than just you know coming from a spiritual place you got some of the physical material things that can help people, so what is this Facebook group, we need to know about it, you need to get in it.
00:40:15
Speaker
Dr. I'm so excited about it too that's something that just dropped in about well earlier this year, all of my work right now is on actualization actualization of your heart's desires.
Dr. McKay's work and leadership initiatives
00:40:26
Speaker
So it comes out of 22 years of me developing my McKay actualization method.
00:40:32
Speaker
I am starting a new McKay.
00:40:34
Speaker
Are you getting a theme here?
00:40:35
Speaker
McKay Academy of actualization.
00:40:38
Speaker
And the Facebook group is the actualization zone.
00:40:41
Speaker
So if you just go and search search for actualization zone, you'll find that.
00:40:45
Speaker
And that's a place where we can just gather and you can start getting into my world, into my sphere of talking about holding you on your highest potential.
00:40:54
Speaker
and tapping into what your true heart's desires are and receiving those hearts desires with grace and with joy rather than with grit, hard work and tenacity.
00:41:07
Speaker
Like, oh, it's so boring.
00:41:10
Speaker
So actualization zone.
00:41:11
Speaker
I'm also on Instagram, dr.robinmckay is where you can find me there.
00:41:16
Speaker
And oh, and I have a quiz too.
00:41:18
Speaker
Did you know I have a quiz?
00:41:19
Speaker
I have to take it.
00:41:20
Speaker
Yeah, you have to take the quiz.
00:41:21
Speaker
It's a leadership styles quiz.
00:41:24
Speaker
It's on my website.
00:41:25
Speaker
It pops up after a couple of seconds.
00:41:28
Speaker
I think that the more we learn about ourselves as leaders, the more dialed in we can get to the best way of actualizing heart's desires.
00:41:37
Speaker
So somebody who's a visionary leader,
00:41:39
Speaker
maybe actualizing your desires in a different way than somebody who's a collaborative leader or somebody who's a competitive leader has a different soul purpose when it comes to actualizing desire.
00:41:50

00:42:32
Speaker
She's tapped into my frequency and woke me up a little bit more like, hey.
00:42:36
Speaker
So, I mean, I don't know if there's anything else before we leave, right?
00:42:40
Speaker
Can you give the listeners some intuitive advice, whatever you're channeling on how to become their best self?
00:42:48
Speaker
how to potentially heal, and just to be their most authentic self in this time and space in the universe.
00:42:56
Speaker
Just any words, whatever you have come through, I would just love to hear it.

00:43:03
Speaker
The most important thing for all of us to do right now is to make the journey from our heads to our hearts.
00:43:10
Speaker
The heart contains the spirit.
00:43:14
Speaker
And I don't quote the Bible often, but when I do, I go back to the letter of Paul to the Ephesians where he writes, may the eyes of your heart be enlightened.
00:43:25
Speaker
And I love that wish for all of us.
00:43:27
Speaker
May the eyes of our hearts be enlightened because our hearts are what are actually going to be guiding us now and in the future, rather than our intellect.
00:43:36
Speaker
The intellect has brought us as far as we can go.
00:43:39
Speaker
We're in need of something else and we already have what we need it's in our hearts it's our intuition it's our connection with spirit.
00:43:47
Speaker
And when we move in the direction that our hearts want to go that's what everything clears up and that's when we make our best contributions and we master what we came here to master in the first place.
00:43:59
Speaker
that's that's a the heart chakra it is is screaming and it's telling us it's all you're getting get understanding that's proverbs 4 7. so that makes sense dr robin mckay thank you so much for your beautiful soul and spirit uh and your inspiration and intuition and just information to help people better their situation
00:44:18
Speaker
And I believe people listening to this that will listen to this or when they are listening to it will be healed in the moment because they have new information to shift their paradigm to be their best self and help the world and humanity be great and be refreshed and refine that mind but really focus on the heart.
00:44:39
Speaker
