Speaker: The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self -control. Galatians 5, 22 through 24. Dear Heavenly Father, love, that's who you are. I want to know that love, greater and greater, each and every day.
Speaker: If I want to be able to share that love with other people and not get in my own way, become a block to the love that you so freely gave to me and that you so freely want me to give to others. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for giving your son. And dear Jesus, thank you for going to the cross for my sins and the ultimate display of love. You didn't need to go.
Speaker: And yet from that cross, you loved me and you died for me. And you will forever be the ultimate example of what love is, who love is, and what love does. Thank you, dear Jesus, for sending your Holy Spirit to live in me and to work in me and to stir up these fruits, these fruits of your very own spirit. And you give the spirit to me so that these fruits might be part of my life and part of what I have to offer to the world. Holy Spirit, today, please stir up love. The greatest of these is love.
Speaker: And I know that you're constantly there to remind me almost as if I'm a tree that's planted in soil that's rich and full of God's love. And so those as those roots grow deeper and deeper and deeper, I'm more and more part of this love that you offer me and to the world. Please forgive me for not loving others the way that You have loved me. I want to. I desperately want to. And please forgive me for not going to you to to sense your love and feel your love and fill up with your love instead of going to things in this world that are so temporary and that don't last and that don't have any love to give.
Speaker: Holy Spirit, I want my roots to be firmly, firmly planted in the love that you want to grow in me. Would you please bring to mind someone in my life that needs to feel God's love today? Please put them on my heart and on my mind.
Speaker: Would you help me to reach out to them and show them your love?
Speaker: And Holy Spirit, do you also have a word for me today?
Speaker: Thank you, Lord. Thank you for love. May it fill me and may it pour out for me to those around me. I love you.
