And we're going to talk about how to apply that to some business stuff, because we've got a lot of people listening who are entrepreneurs or thinking about becoming entrepreneurs in the next couple of seasons of their life. Yeah, OK. So take me back. I need to know the backstory. When did you discover that you had a passion in astrology? Well, I didn't. It fell into me in 1995 in the early days of the Internet. I was living overseas. Life was falling apart. And this is it's a long story, but I'll get it to the chase. And I landed on a message board and I just asked, was I a cancer or a Leo?

And everybody gave me all these technical answers and it is technical, but in true cancer in fashion, I said, cut the crap and tell me what I am.

So clearly as you dove deeper, you became hooked, you know, and you started to see the ways that it works. And I saw on your TikTok, you have a huge TikTok following, when I saw on your TikTok, you wrote this definition. I'm going to read it. It said, it was a definition of what an astrologer does. And you said, help people see their best timing, strengths, and options.

And I was like, well, that's a beautiful way to describe it. Um, I love that so much. So I'm sure. And we're going to dive a little deep and deeper into your specific ways because it's fascinating and I want people to hear more about you and how you've evolved and taken astrology to the next level kind of, but tell me a little bit about what, when you are, you know, noticing that this is what I can do for you, help you discover your best timing strengths and options. something that's normally related to someone's personal life, business life, relationships, all of the above. Yeah. Astrology reflects absolutely everything we experience. And if you're an entrepreneur and I'm both, right, I hung my shingle out to read professionally in 1998. Yeah. You know, so, and I was not good at business. I was really good at working for other people. So it's, I didn't know I would, it's a whole thing. It's a whole journey. It is a journey.

But everything is reflected with astrology. It's a language, it's a framework, okay? So you have the, your birth map is your blueprint.

You are the chart. There's a lot of astrologers out there saying, you're not your chart. Yeah, actually you are. And it expresses all of your potential, both positive, negative, and everything in between. And consciousness, how we think, how we are, how we feel about ourselves, how we view the world,

That is very two dimensional thinking. Human beings are very complex and every single sign can be a jerk and every single sign can be an angel. And most of us on our daily lives are kind of neutral until provoked. Yeah. Somewhere in between. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I love that. So you, um, use the term observational applied astrologer. Will you tell us more about that? What does that mean? And how does it different from maybe a more traditional generic kind of term that we're familiar with?

So what you guys are most familiar with is what we call pop astrology, okay? So it's like pop psychology and it does not reflect neuroscience. It doesn't reflect, you know, real psychology and psychiatric, you know, knowledge. It just is common, commonly repeated information. Got it.

Real astrology is really, really old. Yes. And observational means I observe the timing. It's just another way to say mundane. Okay. So because most people don't understand mundane doesn't mean boring. Right. It means world events. So there's multiple kinds of astrology.

mundane is predictive astrology. It's like forecasting. I was a political analyst. I moved into the corporate world. Then I moved into sales and marketing because, and then logistics. I've had a weird life, but it makes me a really, yeah, it's made me a very good astrologer because to be one, you have to know a lot of stuff, right? Have a lot of experience. So the observation means we're paying attention.

We're just going to make an announcement. We want people to use it. So like most of my astrology classes, I'm teaching people how to use the astrology. So like I got, yeah, I got a class right now called healing the money wind and it's beta testing. So we dive into the social and cultural reasons. We all have money wounds, even billionaires, even billionaires, because why would you need so much stuff if you felt satisfied?

Right, right. I mean, gaping holes. And so we identify what it is, maybe where it came from, we don't need to know all of it. And then we use our astrology charts to find our remedies and I give processes. Astrology normally isn't taught that way.

Yeah. Yeah. Like we call it cookbook astrology. You get the book of definitions, you look up your placement and then you go, what am I? Yeah. And whereas I'm going to say, hey, you have options. Which one, which one fits? Which expression are you expressing now?

Yeah. So it's a little more in depth. Yeah, a lot more in depth. And I love anything that takes us from knowledge to action, which is kind of what you're describing. Exactly. Knowledge to action is applied because knowledge isn't power unless you're doing something. A hundred percent. Yes. So let's talk about how we as entrepreneurs and business owners who are listening,

How can they take astrology and especially, you know, what you're describing even more specifically, um, the observational applied astrology, how do we take that and use that to our benefit for the growth of our businesses? Well, so caveat astrology takes time and study to be good at. And so that's, that's, you're not going to be able to do it looking on Reddit or TikToks or there's a lot of really bad information out there.

However, there are astrologers who are consulting astrologers, okay? Not just, I'll tell you about yourself. That's not it. That's not it. No, I specifically do do readings that say business in them because I want people to know. So like I have a small business reading and then what's not up on my website is I do corporate reading. So something because I'll have CEOs coming in and saying, hey, I want to sell. Yeah.

And what's my timing? What's my timing? Yeah. And so going to an astrologer because an astrologer's job is to translate the charts and look at the timing on your own.

You tried to pay attention to this, get out a calendar and think,

What time of year do I have the most energy? Because we all have times a year where if we get back and we think about it, we'll be like, oh man, every April. And it's not because it's tax season, right? Some people in April, they're energized and they're ready to go. And other people are like, I can't move. Other people love summer.

Yeah, right. Not everybody does some people are like, I just don't I wish I had the energy in summer but I just I never had since I was a kid. So look at where you have the most energy, don't try to force things work with your natural rhythms. That's one thing your astrology chart will confirm to you, you know,

It's like, oh, so this time of year is never going to be my best time to run, you know, launching. Again, the messaging, because a lot of times when you start or even people who have experienced practices, maybe they've been on Facebook, they try a new platform.

You have to adapt to a new platform. Every single one is different. Your message is not going to be concurrent everywhere. So learning how to message authentically for you, not just because somebody with a million followers is doing it, because I can guarantee you, I'm better monetized at 151,000 than most of those million people. And I do not do brand deals.

Yeah. Yeah. We talk about this a lot. Do not mistake metrics on social media for money in the bank. No, no. And I went and I looked. I was like, how much are they making over there? I'm like, what? They're only making that? I should reach out to them. What the hell's wrong with them? So yeah. So I think that's really important.

Yeah, so is that the same thing as I saw you also talking about astrological timing? That kind of the same thing or is that different? That's I was describing astrological timing without the astrological ease. But yeah, so timing wise, yes, I look at what I was describing was the movements of the sun when you have because the sun isn't our personality. That was like a 1960s thing where astrologers were like into Carl Jung, which Jung is cool.

I'm not going to lie. I like me some call you. But the sun is literally like our internal little life force furnace, right? Just like the sun is the center of the solar system without the sun. We're not alive. So and this is morbid. But if you've ever seen an open casket funeral, the body in the casket does not look like the person you knew. True. No matter how good they were.

with the hair and the makeup. And the reason for that is the spark of life. The sun has extinguished in that body. It's still, you know, however you believe, it could have gone to heaven, it could have gone back to the source, the universe, whatever your belief is, that's what happened.

But in the body, it's extinguished. So the sun is our energy level. Some people have a lot of energy. They don't need caffeine. Other people need a kickstart. Other people are slow and steady on their pace. We can see that through the sun sign, where it sits in the chart, which is called the house placement, and how it makes relationship to other planets. I front loaded my last year last year because I knew that starting around my birthday last year in July, things would dip and be slow for about six months. So I front loaded the first part of the year, ran my butt off.

and had savings. And even though my slow months are what a lot of people are setting as goals, it was still a slow month for me and I have the bills to go with it. And I was able to write out that slow time knowing I'd have to pick back up and start moving again when things eased out. That's the benefit. That's the trick is knowing how to play. Yeah. And I mean, we know this always and forever, like knowledge from a, from an entrepreneurial standpoint, like data and understanding how to ride the waves is so important. And that's why we do see businesses just vanish like that, that we thought were doing so great. But it's like you said, if they're not prepared for the dip and they have a lot of expenses, guess what? They might not be able to hold on for very long during a slow season, or as we all know from 2020, when all of a sudden

You know, stuff hits the fan and everyone is, you know, oh my gosh, how are we going to be nimble and pivot and make this work? So that makes a lot of sense. That's fascinating. And being able to pay attention to the weird stuff that happens. I mean, there is a bit of woo. Okay. Yeah. It's, I use astrology kind of like data science, but I've also learned through experience and just, you know, cause.

She's old. There's stuff we don't understand. So like in 2018, I had finalized a divorce. And I had let my business as a business consultant who did astrology kind of to the, like I've always been a paid astrologer, don't get me wrong. But I lived in a place where that was not a good idea to be a friend about.

So I kept it kind of on the QT. You needed to be referral only for straight up readings or to the clients that I had around the world. If they were open to it, I shortcutted our sessions by doing the astrology. Like it saves 12 sessions for me to do one with your chart. Okay. And then we can work on building a business, right?

But anyway, I killed my business during the divorce because I went I didn't want to have to deal with that into the stress. It's a stressful thing. It was not a bad thing, by the way. It was a good thing. And then I took a year off to be me. Kids are raised. What have you. I'm going to just chilled out in Sedona. Love it. To L.A. to be near my daughter and then

I decided to get a day job. I hadn't had one in 20 years. I had worked for myself, done my own thing for 20 years.

And that was the best decision ever. It kind of landed in my lap. It showed up to me. A friend said, hey, this tech company really needs somebody who knows gaming and creative work. You do both. I'm like, yes, I do. I am a gamer. Thank you. Sense pong. And so I went to work for a laptop company. OK. That was September of 2019.

Wow. Okay. Working for a laptop company was the best thing during the lockdowns because you had job security. Yeah. And I was working from home. I got bored. I threw up a blog. I had to, um, I had to examine Reddit for my job, but I didn't want to look like I worked for a laptop company. So I went into the astrology forums, build up some karma and went, Oh my God, who's teaching these young people astrology.

Oh my God, they can't live with that information. It's terrible. And I started a blog, put up my bookings and I was booked solid for a month. The first day of my blog was that that's, that's kind of when we talk about divine timing, you know, it was, and of course I checked my chart and went, Oh yeah. Okay. I get it. But if I had kept just the straight up business consulting business, I would have lost everything. Yeah.

So fascinating. So what do you see ahead? Like, are you comfortable kind of saying like what you see ahead for in general for the year 2024? Yeah. Oh, I do year ahead predictions. In fact, they're up in the link. But yeah, this month was when I actually I have a TikTok that I put up in November of 2023, warning about March because somebody was like, it's my birthday month. Will it be chill? And I was like, no.

No. And then I went through the month by month and a lot of, you know, I have a really high accuracy rating, but that's because I only give predictions I'm 80% sure about. I've got a ton that I sit with that I'm like, I wonder if that's going to happen. I never speak it. If I think I wonder, I'm like, I'm 80% sure that's going to be it. So.

So this weekend is going to be really interesting. There's probably going to be some big flooding. I don't look at the news. I don't look at the weather because I am produce, you know, producing predictions of forecasts. I look post facto. So I do think we'll see some flooding around the world. We've got a new moon happening. Well, I don't know when this this audio is coming out. So I'm talking about, you know, March 10th. July is going to be really interesting.

Okay. I expect there to be some shenanigans at the Olympics and I'm a little concerned about it. In fact, I've got several plans for that. I basically said, you know, if you're planning on going, I wouldn't, especially around the 14th. I think we might see something happen. That's kind of like 1972. Look that up. It was a pretty ugly situation. I was three. I'm old, but I'm not that old. I don't remember it, but it's historical and you can look up what happened in Munich. Um, there.

Financially, I think things are going to continue. I think we're going to continue to see highs happen in the stock market. And I'm not a financial advisor. But I think we'll continue to see crypto rise and the stock market kind of do crazy things until about April 20th.

And one of the predictions I didn't make outside my inner circle, because I don't know enough about crypto, right? I have a little in there to just kind of watch the ups and downs, right? But I was wondering, because they kept saying the halvening is coming, the halvening, which I kind of understand. Again, not a crypto expert.

And I was like, I wonder if that's going to happen with the Jupiter Uranus conjunction, April 20th. And that's like a big deal. It happens every 17 years. It's not a common occurrence. And I was like, I wonder, because that should be a surprise gain.

more expansion, it should be. And then I follow this lady on TikTok who is a crypto expert. And she was like, and she's into astrology. And she's like, whoa, this is happening on the same day. And I was like, oh, and the having is a big deal. We may see Bitcoin go to 100,000. I wouldn't be surprised. It might even touch up a little bit, but then I think things are going to go.

Sure. I'm giving that caveat because September 1st, the planet Pluto that people have heard to be afraid of, and it is, I like the term force transformation. So force transformation, force evolution. Okay. Other people call it the destroyer.

In my personal experience, it can feel like the destroyer, but it's forcing you to grow. There's no comfort zone. You are exposed and you must grow and turn into a butterfly without the cocoon. It does make you an amazing person if you're willing to grab onto it. What hurts is resisting it.

And that can make it really bumpy. And it's human to resist it. So don't ever beat yourself up for like, if you're in a bad situation going, why me? Well, yeah, we all do that. Anyway, it's going back to Capricorn. Okay. This is in September, right? September 1st through November 19th. Okay. And Mars will be in Cancer, the opposite side of Capricorn. Normally, I would be like, yay, oppositions are cool.

This would be very explosive energy. Now it could be natural events. I do. If people are listening in California, I always get asked about the big one. I'm fairly accurate. Um, on my earthquake predictions are really hard to predict. So I run at about 65, 70% accuracy on those, but that's, that's good. Yeah, it's high. Other economic and political. I tend to be like 85%.

But earthquakes are hard. OK, it's taking me years to figure out directions. I do feel that it is entirely likely and possible to have a sizable earthquake in California, in Southern California, potentially on the Nevada border.

and Arizona border or near the Mexican border. Again, it's very hard to tell directions. It could even be something in Mexico that impacts Southern California, maybe more like the San Diego area. I'm not sure. Again, I'm an astrologer, not a geologist or a seismologist. But around September 16th, those are the dates I'm looking at. I live here too. Yeah. So I do keep my eye out. But any seismic region,

Yeah. It's murky as mud. I called the 2016 election. People were not happy with me when I called that and I was like, dude, it's the transits. It's not whether I like or dislike somebody. I called it this one. It's really the only thing I can say for 2016, especially or sorry, 2024 as entrepreneurs.

you know you have a lot to say in your communities and so you want to be involved because that affects your business you know whether it's taxes or zoning or whatever you need to be involved you need to be involved with our neighbors we need to be supporting one another that's the biggest thing i can say on that it is not

clear what the outcome is. My, and I keep all of my really juicy political predictions on my Patreon for patrons at any, well, not the free level, any paid level gets those. So just because I ever will, if you're going to troll me, you're going to pay me. That is very smart. We protect our boundaries around here. I love that. Right. Right.

I would love to get your perspective because as social media has become more popular and as you know, you know, you've been using the Internet and speaking about astrology and those that intersection for a long time. But one of the things that sometimes kind of irks me, I'm not going to lie, is how frequently people throw around mercury in retrograde. Oh, my God. Yeah. Can we talk about it? Yeah. So mercury retrograde.

And by the way, Mercury goes retrograde about three times a year. They'll say four, but it's like, like last year they went, it's, it's in retrograde four times in 2023. Yeah. What December 30th, it went retrograde. You know what I mean? It was like two days. Okay. Um, it's apparent retrograde. So retrogrades are not astronomically real, but they are an optical illusion that we see.

It doesn't mean it doesn't mean something to us because again we live on planet earth and our perceptions are shaping our reality and they've proven that neuroscience. So it looks like it's going backwards to us. What there is no such thing is called the pre-shadow. I don't know who made that up but I would like to take them to a back alley.

It's technically the pre retrograde and it looks and it's kind of a cool astronomical thing. The pre shadow is when Mercury looks like it's slowing down before it hits the brakes and stations, which means it stops and then it looks like it changes direction.

It is not causing your problems. Okay. In fact, retrogrades are a good thing. You've noticed the beginning part of 2024 has been pretty wild and woolly. It's been hard to catch our breaths. Look at us. We're recording the same March. When did New Year's just happen? What? Where's February? Where did it go?

That's because all planets are in direct motion right now. Nothing is retrograde right now until April 1st when Mercury will station retrograde. Now this one might be a little tricky and the only reason I say that is because all planets are direct and it'll feel a little bit like somebody hit the brakes on wet pavement.

So I always do really well. I pick up projects I haven't finished because I've been too busy. I revise manuscripts. That's the best use of mercury retrograde.
