Speaker: Would you like me to cook outside the tent to the smell of garlic? You'll very soon smell what Farrakh is cooking.

Speaker: I didn't make a fucking reference. You made the fucking character that did. Oh, Darren. I'd like to stress, I didn't name Farrakh.

Speaker: Farrakh has the same name that he was given in the Jewel the Dead at Champions, but didn't name him. Thanks. I'm a problem.

Speaker: Hello there, welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, Belem Draconis. We are a live play 5e 2024 D&D podcast set in the magical homebrewed world of Aerith in the kingdom of Dralak.

Speaker: Joining you for this week's episode, we have Puby, who plays the human cleric Emron. clever it It's like we're the Channel 4 news team. The apple pie loving apple pie smashing edgelord Callum who plays the warforged artificer Alpha.

Speaker: Hello! Ian who plays the tiefling Waterer Nyx Carell. Good evening. Will who plays the dragonborn druid Val Valkon. I have many leather bound books. Darren who plays the half orc barbarian Tharak Sunjari.

Speaker: I'm McBenna the White, and I come back to you now at the turning of the tide. My name is Mark, and I am playing the Human Blade singer Seth Farareva, and this is the Shipping Forecast. But not before we get to our last, but by no means least, our adventurer architect, arbiter of anarchy, alchemist of awe, the archmage of the arcane, the anal eloper and gag choker, dungeon master Danny. Peavy!

Speaker: the one That was it. That was gone.

Speaker: um Bravo. Bravo. We find old Gal stood on the street corner busking with naught but tin cans for instruments and his pipes and whistles in his throat as his tune.

Speaker: He stops briefly taking a slug of water from a wineskin and turns to us and begins...

Speaker: Ooh, Clan Crossroads! The big snake turns into a small female dwarf named Thava of Clan Silvermoon, and she reveals to the group that there were slight guardians here too, and that this may indeed be the last stronghold of the Yuan-Ti. And they've all been slaughtered. She has McBenners' pack, which she hands over.

Speaker: It's got some pretty cool shit in it, including items and keys and potions and a big note that reads, We were wrong about the up-chriscra. And then, kind of scribbled through it with a bit of blood, it just says, The Alignment.

Speaker: Ooh. The group agree to wait in the barracks for the other group after going full tenardier. naier the group in the sands gets themselves back to the temple via Camel Bal with Nyx chatting shit to Seth.

Speaker: Bal's in pretty good spirits too. The group reunite and they start chatting shit and catching up. Turns out the sleep guardians entered another way into the temple and also the Akriskra may have arrived first and brought the eggs and maybe the dragon after.

Speaker: Hmm. The group chat through all the other shit. They make plans, maybe even heading back to Scorch Helm by a boat. And on the subject of boat, Therok starts talking about the note and he mentions a password. And with that password spoken, the McBenner bag grows, the letter rises, and a white, ethereal figure shines out.

Speaker: And this white figure quickly turns into a human, a man.

Speaker: What does he look like, Will? So it's a it's it's definitely an older man. His clothes his clothes are earthen and patched and sort of a mismatch. There doesn't seem to be any finery there. He's definitely a man of of the land, but he's definitely got very old, weathered, leathery skin that you can tell from the image.

Speaker: um The only thing about him, you perhaps say from that image, you could tell, would be that it's his eyes that have this shine of this shine of perhaps an inner youth but he definitely you know an older adventurer if you were to look around it's not the sort of young adventurer he's definitely old and grizzled

Speaker: and this figure

Speaker: The silence here I'm not going to edit out because, listeners, what you are witnessing or hearing is Danny just losing his shit, which I assume is down to the chat. From when Danny asked Will to describe said character, Will had put a ball, pierced nipples, Darren followed up with a Prince Albert, and then Danny corrected it with that Andrew.

Speaker: I ignored all that during that description, so it was great. And he's broken himself. but I'm back. I'm back. not not ah Not a sweat drop on him. And this figure opens his mouth to speak to the party.

Speaker: So, ah yeah, ah never really had to do one of these, something like this before, but let's get over with. This is McBenner, my last will and testament, so to speak.

Speaker: If you're hearing in this, seeing this, I don't know how it works, but if you are, then I'm dead. Something got me or or maybe my old bones couldn't move fast enough anymore.

Speaker: Either way, it's done. So don't fucking bring me back and don't faff over my body. It's just not worth it. If you're hearing in this, Tharok, then I'm sorry.

Speaker: I had to go alone. It wasn't fair dragging you along just in case it turned out to be deadly. And, well, look where we are. ah Anyway, Tharok, I've left you the boat, the Torch Tabaxi.

Speaker: you can You can rename her if you want. ah The boat and everything in there is yours. So use it well. Use it to do the right thing. I always thought after that stuff in Shannamend that...

Speaker: I'd retire with my riches, but it turns out I'm a sucker for a good cause. Or a lost one. The watch one. Hopefully the good one, not the other.

Speaker: Probably the best one I've found in my years. Oh, one last thing. The boat and the contents are yours. Apart from my chest inside my cabin, you'll find my old logger. been dragging that around since before I met you.

Speaker: Anyway. get it back to Drago. He'll know the best thing to do with what's inside. I've no family, so he'll know how to use what's inside for the best.

Speaker: He's a good one. He is. Don't go off on your own. Find a group or find another group in the watch. Your friend. McBenner.

Speaker: ah And the white light just sort of dissipates. And the paper blank falls to the floor.

Speaker: As that was happening, Farrakh had moved to the point where he was stood face to face with the hologram of McBenner. As it falls to the floor without saying anything, he'll just kneel down and pick up the piece of paper.

Speaker: Goodbye, my friend.

Speaker: Well, what happens if we say crats again? just saying, like, there was a lot of important information there.

Speaker: Crats. Nix, I don't think this is the time, Nix. I don't know how these things work. That was fucking amazing.

Speaker: And you got a ship.

Speaker: And we're very sorry for your loss as well. Absolutely. Sorry for your loss on that one. It's been a long day reading the room. Not my specialty right now.

Speaker: How do you want to proceed, Darok?

Speaker: I'd like to get out my cooking utensils and I'd like to cook something which you would be welcome to eat. I'd like to rest and then come the dawn. I would like to give McBennett's hand this funeral rites. I know he said not to, but it feels right to do that.

Speaker: And then I would like to go and find this boat and help get you get back to Scorch Hell. I like you. I was being a dickhead and you want to cook for us. I feel like we're going to get on famously.

Speaker: I feel that too. Okay, so... Farrok's gonna cook.

Speaker: Right, I guess we just...

Speaker: but relax for once.

Speaker: Would you like me to cook outside the tent to smell of garlic? You'll very soon smell what Farrok is cooking.

Speaker: I didn't make a fucking reference. You made the fucking character for that one. Oh, Darren. I'd like to stress, I didn't name Farrock.

Speaker: Farrock has the same name that he was given in the Jewel of the Dead at Champions. didn't name him. but How long have you been sitting on that? Danny, can we... When I saw his name, I decided to make him proficient with cooking utensils. we roll initiative, please? I want to kill Tharok. Don't you dare. I thought you had your fill with reins.

Speaker: Ever. Ever. ah Maybe it's better for you. That's the only one I've got. And it's only because it what if it's actually his name that he was given by you, Danny. That was incredible. touch Fantastic. I love it.

Speaker: You managed to get it out before breaking. Fantastic. Well done, Darren. Well, while Farok does his thing...

Speaker: i'm not saying it. The name ruined now. I just keep saying it completely something different. Well, Ork Boy does that. um Danny, can I start identifying the maul, please?

Speaker: You're going for the maul first, are you? Yeah. I want your soul, Emron. I'll do it as a ritual. um Okay. um Ten minutes for each one. I'll tell you what you get, unless anyone's going to do anything in those ten minutes of urgency. Cool. No.

Speaker: cool ah This is Earthshaker. This is the maul wielded by Captain Yor that Seth could have named for you, but would have known the name only, not necessarily the properties. But while Seth served for a brief period under Captain Yor, Incognito would have seen this used a few times.

Speaker: It has this black steel carbon ah sort of handle and then this giant stone head. And inscribed alongside the the handle is a small phrase, a small phrase in Infernal.

Speaker: You have to sort of pass around and Nick eventually can can read for you. It just reads back, with every strike, the very air around you ripples. Stone and magic in perfect resonance. a common translation It's a maul with plus one to hit and plus one to damage.

Speaker: It deals an additional 1d4 force damage on a hit. And then has two interesting further properties. It has an ability called Earth Shock, which is once per short rest.

Speaker: And when you hit with a melee attack, you can slam them all into the ground and cause a shockwave. All creatures within 10 feet must succeed on a DC 14 strength saving throw or be knocked prone and take 1d6 bludgeoning damage. So it's a bit of a um ground pound, if you will.

Speaker: Okay. In addition, it the ability Seismic Step. And while wielding them all, so it needs to be in your equipped, not just attuned, you ignore difficult terrain.

Speaker: Cool. Do you continue to your next item? Yeah, i'll move on to the spear. The spear. Weapon.

Speaker: Again, inscribed in this one is the phrase, to be bitten once is to suffer. To be bitten twice is to be entombed in silence.

Speaker: Your arcane law reveals that this is called Serpent Fang. Now Serpent Fang is a plus one to attack and plus one to damage. The target takes an extra d for poison damage on on a hit.

Speaker: And once per day it has the ability Venom Strike. which as a bonus action, the spear exudes deadly venom for one minute. While active, it deals extra 1d6 poison damage, and creatures must succeed on a con save or be poisoned until their next turn. So it sort of goes into a minute of extra damage.

Speaker: And then a further property. This is called Serpent's Curse. On a crit, the target makes a DC 15 con save, or they begin to turn to stone.

Speaker: On the first turn, they are restrained. On the fourth turn, they are petrified if you crit within another four turns. So, sorry. so You have to crit. to crit.

Speaker: And then it's it's ah it's a con save to trigger a restraint. And if okay yeah that that weapon crits again on that same target within four turns, they are petrified for one day.

Speaker: The other item that ah responded to your detect magics was the ring.

Speaker: Tharok still had that on his person.

Speaker: Tharok, do you want me to look at that ring for you? there anything you want to look at magic-wise while I'm here? Yes, please. andrew Alpha said you could, and he'll hold the ring out. And he'll also point at the maul and go, if nobody's going to use that, I can do quite a lot of damage with it.

Speaker: was thinking of maybe giving you the spear, or or you or Seth giving you the spear.

Speaker: You ready for the ring? Yeah, what's the ring? This is called the Ring of Echoed Whispers and inscribed on the band inside the ring. The voices of the dead speak softly, but their secrets are thunder.

Speaker: And it says as follows. ah It has three charges of whispering insight. Someone can expend a charge to gain advantage on an intelligence, wisdom or charisma check.

Speaker: And at sunrise every day, those charges reset. Once per day, you can cast Detect Thoughts with this ring.

Speaker: And this ring also allows you to ignore semantic components when casting spells. So you can have a weapon or whatever in both hands and not need the semantic element.

Speaker: Cool. I explained that to Thor, I can say McBener's ring, so I'll give it back to you all. Upon the explanation, he'll hold it back out and go, it's no use to me.

Speaker: I don't cast spells. Anyone?

Speaker: that's for good Seth will put his hand up slowly. His hand was also up, I saw. It requires achievement, all of these times. What the hell? The two people who saved my life in the Blooming Games both put their hands up? Which one do I give it to?

Speaker: You give it to Seth. acquires attunement, I'm out. I'm out. um more ah My deck is stacked. Yeah, ring's flipped towards Seth. ah Catches it and does a nod of appreciation and then we'll start looking at the ring and turning it over and will look to start attuning it in replacing my um cloak of i protection.

Speaker: Everyone sort of puts the spear out in things. Well, spear's good for anyone here. I'll take it, but I'll be more useful with the maul. It requires two hands to wield, and that's what I'm used to.

Speaker: ah Bludgeoning's my thing. Fair enough. I'll take the spear.

Speaker: Well, that was nice. Just a three? we do dr of three and That's fine. i yeah so i got some more There were some portions as well we found. um and I've got a nice tapestry if you fancy that.

Speaker: Looks pretty. I don't want it though. Sorry, it's all up so's all I found when we were searching the room after you guys flew off.

Speaker: was not a um no one for artwork. Looks pretty, I don't want it.

Speaker: Why did he go, Snape? This is my voice at the moment. I'm still ill. I've been ill for a week.

Speaker: Come here, Nix, and bend over and let me see that ring. i mean, I think at this point, we probably most of us have got... I mean, what?

Speaker: Most us of us have got something that least is some kind of magical weapon. Well, I mean... Well, you're already magical yourself, so, you know. Yeah, he is. weapon Thank you.

Speaker: How much longer is food, Tharok? Wow, always thinking of your stomach. As long as you're fine with some form of venison steak, it's not going to be too much longer.

Speaker: Unless you want it to be cooked even more.

Speaker: I like my steak still twitching. Well, yours will be ready very soon. Nothing a good resurrection spell couldn't fix.

Speaker: Which cookbook did you learn that from?

Speaker: Working man's cookbook.

Speaker: Farrah will take out just some herbs and he will just go, it's only rations with the steak, I'm afraid, but I can give it some seasoning if you like. As I say, I've got garlic and I've got some form of cumin. I've got sage.

Speaker: ah some sage I also think that will make it taste like salmon. What?

Speaker: Just in case that's of any interest to anybody. That's just weird. No, no, alpha, just steak tasting like fish. No. I generally can't think of any other use for it. ah but no.

Speaker: and Perhaps it would. to Okay. No. I'm out.

Speaker: Can't wait. um so Father, you're new here.

Speaker: ah here as in to us how long are you going to be are you coming with us we're going to his ship after all of this if you'd happily just help me get back to Beach Barrow Port I'll be okay um okay you got family there you or like a clan or friends group ah I'll just make my way back to Scotch Helm. Nick, when are we going to go to the cliffs after here?

Speaker: If you want, I can... You mentioned you had a trunk, a trunks. We have an elephant. Yeah.

Speaker: Would you like me to take him back to Scotch Helm for you? If he can't fit on the boat. but surely Surely he can fit on the boat. And then, yes, that would be great. You can pay us to rent trunks to take yourself to Scorch Helm. That's savvy.

Speaker: How big was the boat, Danny? Can we remember whether it looked like it could fit an elephant and a cart? Not quite wide enough for an elephant, no. it's Yeah,

Speaker: it would be all of the boat, if that makes sense. And it would probably affect the buoyancy quite a bit.

Speaker: But it's not it's not up to me. It's not my elephant. Group decision.

Speaker: Time is of the essence. Yeah, well, yes, yes. And to your point there, Emron. Flying boat.

Speaker: You say you can fly a boat? No, no, no, no. The one that Kel tried to make, the flying boat. The sand boat. I know, know, I know. And trust me, no one want that more than me.

Speaker: but flight Also, that was a very real threat that Baal had put on. Yeah, Shundralakar makes larger threats. We've heard these now.

Speaker: So, yeah, I think... um Just it's good to good to have new members in the group, which which brings me on to the next point of discussion. Actually, Nick says as he starts to get a little bit excitement, we need a name for this collective party group. We've been traveling together long enough now and have, you know, avoided death quite successfully.

Speaker: you Sorry, Alpha. Sorry, M1. Sorry, me. ah but but but but but but but but But the majority of us, we're still here. And I feel like that we need a name that precedes us, a reputation, a reputation that precedes us so that people, when they hear our name as a group, they go, ah, yes, those guys.

Speaker: We could be those guys. The not yet dead. That's got negative connotation somewhat. Suggests that we'll die soon, which we probably will, to be fair.

Speaker: It does sound most likely. But it also, it does, there's this a certain crispness to it. They're not dead yet. As in like, you're getting a whole group.

Speaker: Hmm. Any other thoughts out there? I feel like this is, this could be a melting pot of ideas or a singular idea. Hmm.

Speaker: I mean, Tharok, you've just uttered some catchphrase about what what you're cooking. Is there any names that comes unbidden to you?

Speaker: Well, they often say that Dralak is the... ah It doesn't matter what you... I was waiting for that.

Speaker: oh I couldn't do it in character because it's a mute, but I needed to say It's only because I'm jealous of your excellent pun because I definitely didn't think of it at all, Darren, so it's fantastic. no I was about to say that Dralak is known as the nation that conquers, so I like the nation of domination. That's a good one.

Speaker: I'm kidding. I don't have any good ideas. I'm i'm a cook and a barbarian. I hate things. What about something like... Don't call yourself a barbarian. You seem quite civilized. It's a fighting style. I'm fine with it.

Speaker: Sorry, Bar, were you saying something? I was. i just loved I was going to come up with a name that I thought sounded quite cool. but Go on.

Speaker: Something like tempered mortality. Tempered, like, weaponry. We've been beaten around a fuckton. The tempered mortalities?

Speaker: Although, maybe it's more of like a bard group. Like a ship name, tempered morality. Yeah. only had a ship. Okay. Nix has got his next boat name. um So are you, are you like mercenaries or, or, or what are you? We're, we're, we're, we're a thrown together group of misfit fuck ups. So seem to stumble from one, ah catastrophe to the next and somehow come out of it on top.

Speaker: And we have success. Some success. yeah did You just sort of delve into temples and get tangled up with... Sort of raid tombs, if you will.

Speaker: Win arenas, you know. Die a couple of times. You mentioned the duel. Did you compete this year? Yeah, we did. You've got first place and then you've got joint second place. And I died. He died.

Speaker: set to myself and i died he died

Speaker: Oh, couldn't have been bloodied then. um Congratulations. ah yeah Yeah, thank you. but Yeah, we haven't really celebrated, I guess. um that's that's a big That's a big thing. I've never met champions before.

Speaker: who I mean, we could have champions in our title. Mortal champions? No. don't know obsessed with mortal champions. champions? ah oh immortal champions Ooh, immortal champions. Is that our tempting face? It is a bit, isn't it?

Speaker: I mean, it's a group name. It's self-serving enough as it is. I call ourselves the Immortals and then one of us dies. We have to replace him so it doesn't like they're dead. Yeah. Exactly that. We can keep it alive.

Speaker: And have you been together long? Feels like we've been together a lifetime. A few hours. Here's your first day, Cameron. Ah, marvellous. Look.

Speaker: Choose carefully. Names echo. They ferment in the ether. A poor name is like a curse. A great one. A prophecy. Yeah, okay, fermenting. How about you come up with name? Nick, can't like cast augury? Couldn't we like cast augury about our name and then get an idea of whether it's going to be good or bad?

Speaker: Isn't there some magic you can use to tell the future about a decision and we can decide what name it is and then... Is that not a thing you could do? Um... That is a thing I can do. I'm going to keep cooking these steaks unless anyone says they also wanted rare.

Speaker: But I'll tell you what, I will cast that while talking to the, thanks, Tharok, the glass orb. But um at the same time, if I could give it like three options and we could get a like a vibe check, that would be cool.

Speaker: Rather than just be like, Like the Immortal Champions, says there's there's there's a choice one. someone Someone give us a choice too.

Speaker: feel like after, don't know, just pulling a random number out of my head here, 147 times together, we we might be able to think of something. um Rain's had this idea, but i'm not going to suggest it because, you know.

Speaker: If you're talking about the Shield Defenders... You're talking about the shield defenders, aren't you? steal The Iron Man had a great idea for the ah it He had some weird yeah some weird ideas. so As I've said before, he was a bit of a strange one sometimes.

Speaker: in um Well, we can always avenge him, I suppose. Oh, I intend to. group of people How about the... yeah we've got We've got the what with the Immortal Champions...

Speaker: ah The Harbingers of Havoc. yeah We do do a lot of havoc. There's a lot of chaos. Chaos merchants. You wonder without cause. The Severed Compass.

Speaker: Nithravar. Grownups are talking. That slaps. that's That's the Severed Compass. Oh. Yeah. The Severed Compass sounds... but's go You can't have that. I like it. It's the new bolt name.

Speaker: Fuck your boat. yeah We don't even fucking know you very well. Can't steal our group name. And also, you you you don't want to rename your best friend's boat. And you don't even know you don't even know the name of the boat in the first place. Yeah, it's not like one of those things. When a ship has a name, a ship has a name.

Speaker: and Can't just erase the carvings on wood. I mean, you can. You can just sand it down. No, you can't erase the carvings on wood.

Speaker: Okay, okay. So... So what, do we have three there? Are we really going to let the kind of evil little shit monkey name our group? No, we're going to let the evil little shit monkey name my shit.

Speaker: I feel like that's on brand for us. It is, actually. Some adventurers... The name will travel through the ether and pass the voco the fold into the curtain of the void. Yes, excellent.

Speaker: Some adventurers name themselves after their best adventure yet. What's yours?

Speaker: Yet to come. I don't know if we can call ourselves the yet to come. I don't mean that. I mean, i mean, desert champions. i don't know. Just is that a bit too presumptuous?

Speaker: No. the The biggest thing you've you've beaten or the the hardest challenge you've faced. The biggest thing you've beaten, Nyx? No, I knew you were coming back to this. Twice. This, this, you, father, are very sexually active.

Speaker: Dragon slayers, or is that too on the nose? bit on the nose. How would have we said it twice, I think?

Speaker: As this happens, Phyrex is just now coming around handing out plates, and he's going, if you want this cooked anymore, you'll have to do it yourself. I refuse to cook it any more well done than this. I may be covered in viscera, but I am not a savage.

Speaker: Saffy will lab he he'll humbly bow his head and take a stake and start churning down.

Speaker: little bit charcoal by now. not typing guys cooked it. So the Immortal Champions, the Desert Champions, and the... Immortal Dragonslayers. Severed Compass. Severed Compass.

Speaker: Champions of the Jewel. Jeweled Champions. Jeweled Champions? Champions of the Severed Compass Dragonslayers. Champions.

Speaker: I mean, yeah

Speaker: i mean i'm I'm pretty woozy. I've been knocked out. I feel like we're ah i feel like we're we're not quite there, but we're a few just closer. We're closer to it. We've got some... On the edge.

Speaker: The edges. No? No. ah The edgelords. No, that sounds stupid. What if I asked you a question? what What if I said, i meet travelers on the road and they we share stories over a campfire and they want to know of any interesting people I've met. And I would refer to you as the six what?

Speaker: Misfits? I feel like we need something grander. yeah We've got to sell ourselves here, Emron. You're not wrong in what you're saying. I'm just thinking of future business here. Okay. Okay.

Speaker: Like if we were to write this name on little cards and give them out to people, what kind of vibe would we want them to get?

Speaker: Hopefully one to leave us alone. No, but we want we want the gold. This could be profitable.

Speaker: Correct to me if I'm wrong, but thinking from a business sense, the jewel is one of the most popular kind of um events in track. Is that not correct?

Speaker: If it is, most people would recognize at least some form of well reference to the Jewel of the Desert, and we do have the champion.

Speaker: Perhaps I'm going around in circles. I'm not sure who No bad ideas.

Speaker: Well, that was superb, Tharok. ah The best meal I've had for a while. You are welcome.

Speaker: Personally, I think your steaks are overcooked and you should have it like Emron over there. but if you I just had it as it came. I would have had it either or. Next time I'll cook it for you the way I cooked it for Emron. You prefer it.

Speaker: Okay. is much better. It is much better. The juices flow better. I mean, I'm all up for new experiences. Just ask Bal. On that note, I'm going to go and hit the bed.

Speaker: Bal, what type of new experiences is tiefling up for? Oh, entirely. Yeah, that's absolutely fine. um I mean, this well to be fair, I think Nix would probably rather I keep it between us.

Speaker: ah Just, I mean, I'll say the word torsion and leave it at that. Oh.

Speaker: Sounds like you fuck. And he's going to start just cutting up his head.

Speaker: I'll be honest, Tharog, if you smell what Baal is cooking...

Speaker: if you've heard what we've heard... Anyway. Ha! I'll laugh at that and just keep eating your steak. I like you. I like you all. You're very funny. Oh, good.

Speaker: So, as this fireside meal moves into the evening's rest...

Speaker: Do you want to set a watched order? do you want to take her up on the offer? Are you relying on the tiny hut and its protective practices? Are you all satisfied it with your environment or does anyone want to formalize anything?

Speaker: Farah would insist on taking a dawn watch and he would want one of the Shadow Menian 2, at least one of the Shadow Menian 2 to take it with him. If you make that request, Alpha will and you happily oblige.

Speaker: i'm still I can still see everything while I'm sleeping anyway.

Speaker: Well, in which case, Tharva will take most of the night watch, and you are not woken again until she wakes Tharok and Alpha as dawn is breaking.

Speaker: My understanding is that we have to go somewhere where we can see the sun. Is that right? You do all complete a long rest as well. Oh, hallelujah! I've lost my exhaustion levels from like 50 episodes ago. You've been exhausted for a long time.

Speaker: It's been 84 years. spells Does anyone have any armor or weapons that aren't magical?

Speaker: That aren't magical? Yes. Specifically, not magical. I've got a great axe plus one. That counts as magical. no i suppose I suppose I do. I've still got my bog standard pistol and I can remove my armor. Anyone have any armor that isn't magical?

Speaker: ah Yeah, I've got light armor. Cool. So when everyone wakes up, I'm going to use my blessing of the forge and bless your armor.

Speaker: Sick. So I've got studded leather. What does blessing me do? Basically, it gives you a plus one bonus to your AC. Forever? it's every face i have to I have to do it. it basically At the end of a long rest, you can do your magic into a weapon or armor by touching the magical version until your next long rest or you die, the object gains plus one. basically So every morning, I'll just renew it.

Speaker: I've got 16. Because I can't use it on anything that's not um magical, essentially. So yeah, there you You get Blessing the Forge.

Speaker: Well, thanks, Emron. You're a fucking gem. And to be fair, if we come across any dragons again, this will be helpful.

Speaker: So you aren't quite awake yet because Alpha and Tharok are doing their thing. just wanted to mention that while we were. yeah So what are you two doing on this morning watch?

Speaker: Farad will look at you, hold the hand and arm and go which time? What do we do?

Speaker: We must build a pyre first, and you are indeed correct. We need sunrise. I don't believe the exit to the temple that we came in is too far.

Speaker: Perhaps we should just make our own way there.

Speaker: Very well. Please, follow me. And I'm assuming it's a nice, it's easy route to find the trap room again and obviously make my way kind of back up. um Will I have seen any kind of... I don't think we're going to be able to do it grandeur, but combustible material at the very least to make a pyre out of that at the very least will be able to suitable for an arm.

Speaker: There would be rags and clothing fragments everywhere that, that, why want some bodies that are now non-existent as well as the torches that were were lit that about, I've got about half the torches left. So you could get, you know, about a dozen of those from the rooms you're not going to need if you're exiting after this and a small pile of rags, you'd have enough to burn something for about 10 minutes.

Speaker: I think this is the best that we are going to be able to Varok. Well, McBen has said don't make a big fuss. I'm just doing this because I feel it's the right thing to do.

Speaker: I understand. Let us make haste to the outside and construct your pyre.

Speaker: Varok will just pull stuff. he's he's He's pretty proficient in survival. He'll just pull things together until it makes pyre.

Speaker: Thank God, because got minus one to survival, just in case there was going to be any checks.

Speaker: He'll then place the arm on it, and as he does he as he did the other day, he'll just give Ben his hand ah a firm clench and then step away and say, ah need you to do the rest.

Speaker: Now I was just going to stand there. Look at the arm. Two gods of our sky. Two gods for the duality of our existence.

Speaker: As Sol rises on this day, we commit Macbena. As the night leaves us, may Selene guide them above. Wait.

Speaker: Yes? Have you said this right for your friend, your father?

Speaker: No, I haven't. Would you like to?

Speaker: No. There's a part of me that still denies that he has indeed departed from this world.

Speaker: Until I can say without any doubt in my mind that my father is gone, I do not wish to pass on these rights to him.

Speaker: Farrakh will look at you and just say, this belt belongs to my mother. So long as you remain, he is always in this world.

Speaker: And then he'll just nod back towards the pyre.

Speaker: like Very much the kind of thing he would say.

Speaker: And Alpha will turn back to the pyre as well.

Speaker: As you rise, soul, may McBenner find peace in your sky.

Speaker: As the body departs, the soul arrives in eternity. And then if, I was hoping this are going to be a capable kind of thing, because it is the pie lit, Darren? Did you light it when you were doing the survival thing? Yeah, cool, that's fine then. I don't need to do anything about that.

Speaker: And we're just going to, after that, Alpha's just kind of watching it to burn a blaze. And it gets quite smelly as you're burning, rotting

Speaker: limb.

Speaker: But then once you that sort of passes, the smoke just trails off into the rising sun sky. After a few minutes, it's sort of charred,

Speaker: but still there, like was poorly barbecued almost.

Speaker: It's more given the fact that you didn't quite have enough kindling and and stuff around, but but it's still tasteful, you know, still kind.

Speaker: think Alfred at this moment is kind of staring at the arm. going to put his hand on Tharok's shoulder, just give it a couple of taps. He's still dealing with his own grief and he doesn't know how to process dealing with somebody else's grief by any way, shape or form. So this is just as much as what he can kind of understand and Alpha is quite clearly waiting on a cue from Tharok at this stage. He's done the Shadow Mendian rites as best as what he recalls them.

Speaker: His troubles are over, Alpha.

Speaker: And a time will come when I see MacBennar again. A time will come when we will see them again. And he'll just put his arm on your shoulder, give it a squeeze, and then just a pat before turning and walking back towards the hut.

Speaker: Where the fuck is it?

Speaker: it's actually clear, isn't it? We can't find it.

Speaker: One by one, people begin to to awaken. Before you do, Emron... You dream again.

Speaker: Chronologically, everything happens in that same sequence.

Speaker: You're on this platform in the sky. You're buffeted off by the wind. You're caught on a winged creature

Speaker: and held tightly by Baal.

Speaker: You're placed back on that platform. Baal pushes you up this chain and ushers you to go. On that platform as well, trying to ascend is Drago, is this dwarf.

Speaker: And there is this golden-masked female human figure. You ascend up this chain through essentially what is a sewer grate into a great metal metropolis that towers above you like a vertically stacked city.

Speaker: You look down and you see Drago's hand sort of coming up through the same way that you've just ascended and you you reach down and you lift him up. Further down the train the the the chain, you see the dwarf and lower down you see that golden glowing female figure.

Speaker: And on that platform, holding on with all might in the center of it, not needing a chain looking incredibly stout of footing.

Speaker: Baal but just looks up at you. Just jesters. You can't hear what he's saying. He's just waving for you to go, go, go, go. And and and ushering you with his arm.

Speaker: And then puts a hand to his head. Telepathically almost. You hear his voice.

Speaker: He just says.

Speaker: It's alignment day.

Speaker: It's over to you four now.

Speaker: I will protect you here.

Speaker: And then Baal instantly has broken out the concentration and you watch as he launches this fire breath eastward.

Speaker: And then you wake before you can see what Baal is fighting.

Speaker: And you're the last awoken. Again, everyone goes from calm, gentle, placid sleeping to just a rush of energy. You upright, you are sweating within a second.

Speaker: You are so almost like you're being attacked in your sleep, that kind of instant threat. But you look around and it's your friends and it's morning.

Speaker: Well, we further. We got further. we got we got further

Speaker: the alignment.

Speaker: Uh, dreams again, Emron?

Speaker: Yeah, but we got further and, and, and, and Baal said that it was alignment day and it was over to us now.

Speaker: Us? Us four, me, Drago, um, the dwarf, and then the, the woman, um I'm trying to remember, Danny, because everyone everyone's thinking back.

Speaker: when you When you described it, did is it a golden woman or a golden masked woman? So it's almost like you don't recognize the form and it's just she's just shrouded in golden light. Sorry, you said golden mask and it made me start to... that's fine No, sorry.

Speaker: Do not make that... yes that would not That would not be the appropriate connection to suggest. Thank you. like you um Yeah, and ah this woman who I think Drago knows who that is. We were climbing up.

Speaker: We got further. I reached down, helped Drago up, and then Baal spoke in my mind and said, it's Alignment Day. It's over to you four now.

Speaker: What's Alignment Day? I spoke in your mind. Yeah. I can't do that. Can you do that? No, not that I know of. Okay.

Speaker: Alignment Day. Does that mean anything to anyone? Danny, does the... few sessions back, a note was found in, I think, the very barracks that we're in at the moment. Yep.

Speaker: That mentioned that has that. Was that shared at all with the group? i don't I can't remember which character it was that kind of found it. I think it was Seth that found it, wasn't it? Seth read a note and then ran in before you found Tharok and shoved it in front of all of your faces. So we all saw it.

Speaker: Okay. So 58 days till the alignment. Yeah, yeah. So that was... That was... Yesterday. it's I'm pretty sure the note said 60 days from about two days old.

Speaker: That puts it at 58, which puts today at 57. 57 days time, the alignment. Alignment. So we we need to be at the top of the thing in 57 days.

Speaker: You've got to learn how to speak into people's minds. Right. Maybe Nix can teach me some mind-fucking. He's good with that.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: You don't sound convinced. Where have you got to be? oh On the platform. On the platform? On the thing. The thing, Nix.

Speaker: Right. In the sky. Savvy. Sky platform. Dream. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just... Like, Wanda's not just... Go up there.

Speaker: um mean, didn't, like, someone teleport Baal all over Aerith? Can we not just, you know... Teleport up there? They did say before that anyone that's made their way up has not come down.

Speaker: But if your dream is a dream of the future...

Speaker: then in 57 days' time, that's where we'll be and Nick's will have taught me how to fuck people in the mind.

Speaker: Yeah. It's a plan.

Speaker: What about these? Where were these guys? Where were the rest of the ah champions of the... No, is it working? Champions of the... Dead. No, no. um I don't know. You're the only one the...

Speaker: the champions, the undying champions. that Oh! i've one death the unknown cham Hold on! Hold on one moment! Well, fuck me. Was that in the dream, Emron?

Speaker: Did they tell you about the undying champions in the dream? No, that just came to me. The undying champions! We have a winner. Oh my... Well done, Emron.

Speaker: h Shit. I just thought that was one of the names we suggested, but okay. It wasn't even on a contending list, but that. that Nope, that wins.

Speaker: Okay. Any objections? so No. I mean, does Nick do his all three things and we just go for it? No, I'm running wow down writing it down. That's it. Okay.

Speaker: and Anyway, the only people I see is Drago, Bovrin, the dwarf, I think it was name. the woman whose name I know, but I don't want to say it just in case, you know, cause saying people's names is a bit doing it out certain people.

Speaker: Um, and then ball rescues me. He's fight. He, we, he says, go get up, get up the chain. And we, we climb up and I, and I'm, we're climbing up and I look down and ball lets out his fire breath at something.

Speaker: And then that's it. That does sound like me.

Speaker: The mind fucking not so much, but the the fire breathing.

Speaker: i mean I mean, unnerved that the other guys aren't there. ah that That somewhat scares me. Nah, it sounds actually quite on brand for us.

Speaker: we split up It does sound pretty on brand. ah i Most certainly. and and Just a a quick query on it. Emron, the Drago that you see in your dream, is that the Drago that we have met previously?

Speaker: but is he is he Is he a gnome or a... a Yes, sorry. Or is he a dragonborn? yeah Yes. um What species is the Drago in your dream? I mean, I don't judge, but... um yeah it it's like ah dad If you say you don't see race, I will fucking flame you right now. um He looks like a dragonborn.

Speaker: and Farrakh, get um your journal.

Speaker: yeah Sure, Farrakh, get out his journal. I take it this means I can call my ship the Severed Comfort, yes? And he'll hold up the the the journal. I suppose.

Speaker: that Is that your Dragon Ball?

Speaker: I mean, if you sort squint, yeah. to oh Hold on, does that say alignment? Oh, no that no no. No, it doesn't. That's on something else. This is his journal.

Speaker: Sorry. Oh, look, a piece of paper just fell on the floor, though. That's his alignment. I was getting to that. He's holding that up, and he's also going to go, and since you're talking about alignment, McBennett's letter here also has it spread out in blood, which makes it seem really, really friendly.

Speaker: Doesn't that also say that we were wrong about the up-chriscra?

Speaker: Yes. So a distinct member of the Winged Watch saying they're wrong about the obchrisco.

Speaker: Yeah, should I thought that too.

Speaker: and And what did it say about the alignment there? It just says the alignment in big red bloody letters. Okay.

Speaker: So we find some things out and have questions for other things. ah Stuff to take it back to the meeting. and Just another day for the Undying Champions. Oh, I love it. I do I love it.

Speaker: My nipples are tingling. like Wow. Shall we break fast and get to the ship? Break fast and clip-clop. lip oh shit come if Can we say clip-clop?

Speaker: What do you say? Splish-splosh? Splish-splosh. Splish-splosh.

Speaker: ah Splash, splash. No, splish, splosh. Plip, plop.

Speaker: Let's fucking move. You exit the temple then. Sounds like. with you taking the oh we take Hang on oh What we doing with the eggs? Leave the fucking eggs.

Speaker: We merely took them as a potential bargaining chip. I have no intention of trying to draw a dragon to another location. I am perfectly happy to leave them here. Are they safe here?

Speaker: Anyone could come along. Yes, but these these weren't the only ones left, were they, down in the... Oh, I think these were... They were, I'm afraid, yes. Just these three.

Speaker: There was just three left? Yeah. Yes.

Speaker: Fucking hell, Alpha. Talk about making a few omelets. Would anyone like an omelette? That can be arranged. No.

Speaker: Thank you, Farg, for diverting that away from me. Bless these eggs. Anyone getting that? Any listener getting that? Oh, bravo. Well played. Well played. I believe there's a ritual that you have to perform. We saw in Goldview a couple of times.

Speaker: Farrakh, as the newest member, you should have to do it. Well, I don't know if they'll be safe.

Speaker: Sorry for interrupting. That's okay. I was just about to take my shirt off, because I believe I know the retro you're talking of. with But I'm not going to, because it sounds like we're not about to cook these eggs. So, na bar that what are we doing with the eggs?

Speaker: I don't know at this point. All I know is you bring them with us, and ah you're inviting danger. We can't just leave them on the floor. was just going to put it out there that Shondralikar knows that these eggs are here. That's the last place that she saw them.

Speaker: So if we leave them there and she comes back, I feel like that's better than she coming back. No eggs. Right. We could leave a note saying, fuck you, Shondralikar and them, couldn't we?

Speaker: um Good morning. Hello. I could take them back. To her? You are up for doing a lot of stuff that we're not.

Speaker: What the fuck is that about? I've heard of people pleasing, but this feels like it's just a bit extreme.

Speaker: yeah how do you know you're not going to go away and like flog them? You're willing to take our elephant back and these eggs. And more importantly, you said you take them to her. You know Shondralukar personally?

Speaker: As a clan... We know every grain of sand in this kingdom.

Speaker: I know where she lives. I know exactly how to get there. It's a of a long way.

Speaker: Not if you have sand streams.

Speaker: I mean, maybe maybe we could send them back and say, don't be a dick to Baal and give them back. No, not a good idea. I think an apology note would be more of a

Speaker: Dear Shondralikar, sorry not sorry. No.

Speaker: How are you riding these sand streams exactly? On a boat.

Speaker: Not on a boat. Oh. It's a clan secret. And also that leaves shanuks Shondralikar.

Speaker: Her prosperity in this kingdom is important to our

Speaker: Our mission. Prosperity is not beneficial towards some of our party members. I'm just confused because i have a friend who's trying to make a boat that sails the sands and you're saying that you can use the sand stream to get through it and you're not willing to tell me.

Speaker: requires you to have quite a deep relationship with the creatures that create the stream. Trust that we've forged over hundreds of years. And you ride creatures.

Speaker: To an extent. And who are the creatures?

Speaker: When the jungle disappeared in this kingdom, all of the aquatic life sort of mutated into stone.

Speaker: But it was something in

Speaker: Something in the blessings of Aledo when Aledo ascended that gave life to some creatures that shouldn't really exist in a desert.

Speaker: Those creatures are millions upon millions of jagged edged fish, for want of a better description.

Speaker: And they move in patterns. And once you learn the patterns,

Speaker: can kind of predict the directions.

Speaker: Wow. And a few concentrated creatures

Speaker: under a certain tricks of the mind are less aggressive amongst those millions. And it makes quick transportation relatively straightforward.

Speaker: but only only really possible within our clan. So you could drive trunks from Beach Barraport to Scorch Elm and then take the sand rivers to Chandrila Kha?

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: okay i like That's a lot for us, though. what This is just because... your Because we're the undying champions. Yes, that's a given.

Speaker: For sure.

Speaker: Is it because it's an oath? It's part of your your clan? Your group? Or you just... Our best chances of restoring the jungle is ensuring that she is as powerful as she can be.

Speaker: Okay, so your goal is to restore the jungle to what it was, its glory. Yes. Yes. Okay, that makes sense. I'm happy that there's something in it for you. that That I can understand.

Speaker: Okay, it seems like we have a we have it oddly wrapped up in a bow. We get on this ship. You take our elephant, the eggs.

Speaker: We get Baal out of here. We go and find out more about this alignment. We go into the meeting. and I don't know about those later details, but yes, that was my instruction from, he didn't leave a name, but he said, I'd find some eggs here and people who would,

Speaker: Need to offload them. What do you look like? Yeah. it Was he a devil? Yeah. Did he have horns? No. Just a wood elf about the same height as... Did he call himself Prego?

Speaker: ah Yes. The something. Fucking twat. Yeah. yeah Yeah. Yeah. What a knob. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. You didn't make a deal with him. you didn't make any bargains with him, did you? No, it's just... You see your arms, just quickly. is He's a devil of of of the hells who likes to make bargains with people.

Speaker: Just see your arms. The surname you're looking for was The Cunt. It's Prego The Cunt. Just in case anyone else asks, you can pass that on. I don't imagine that's how he was born, but I'll use that to tell him. He likes it. He likes being called the cunt.

Speaker: Yeah. You know how we're called the Undying Champions? He's called the cunt, like for a reason. If you ever talk about us and mention our interactions with him, just call him the cunt. I'll make a deception check.

Speaker: ah Get advantage because we've just little laid it on thick. 16. ah sixteen She doesn't believe you, but she nods anyway. Father, again, just show us your arms.

Speaker: And she rolls up her robes. Nothing there. ah are mean The blue tattoos, but not that that she has sort of running all around her hand, but not looking like Seth's or um mine but any of yours now.

Speaker: what have you If he ever comes to you and says, oh, I'll make you a deal, don't. Just don't. Just don't. not worth it. Even if he says, I'll restore the jungles of Dralak in exchange for Daunt.

Speaker: And even though you've have indeed found the eggs, like he said, it's all part of a trick. It's part of a game. And we don't know the end game yet.

Speaker: Just, yeah, look out for yourself. ah Thank you for the warning. Maybe I shouldn't take these eggs. It's all right. He's listening right now.

Speaker: Yeah. you know How? and Emeron just looks down at his arms that are bare that have these tattoos going up both sides. Yeah, we had to make a deal with him.

Speaker: You've made a deal with the devil. Yeah, not willingly. I just have a specialty for deals. It's not my first one. here what It was willingly, but it was it was that or Seth died.

Speaker: And Seth is and points to Nivrifar. The silent but deadly one. Hmm. I see.

Speaker: Deadly indeed. She gives you a knowing look, Seth.

Speaker: Well, if if you're if you're sure, I mean, I can see that you're not directly aligned with Chandra LaCarre. I don't want to do you a disservice, particularly if a devil's involved, actually. makes me feel a bit sick.

Speaker: I mean, the problem is probably probably with probably Prego is, e he's got an agenda. But if he said, and he has this thing about Beyonce into the future, but if he said that you would be able for us to give you the eggs, then maybe the best thing to do is to let you take the eggs back to Shondra Lekar to at least...

Speaker: put us in a little bit of her good graces going forward, maybe. I don't know. yeah I'll concur with that. What about this? What about this? I will probably be in Scotch-Harm a couple of days after you arrive by boat.

Speaker: Think about it. Let me know when I get there if you want me to keep going.

Speaker: Fair enough.

Speaker: So, splish-splosh? Splish-splosh. Clip-clop, splish-splosh. Savvy. Okay, let's make our way And you you traverse the sort of one-hour journey back to Beach Barreport. It's not far.

Speaker: And you pass that same sort of flat terrain almost now that that that you're walking into, save for this one um rocky outcrop that's sort of angled, 90 degrees, but not quite.

Speaker: And Thava just gestures and says, that mountain, that hill there, that's the people's elbow, we call it. She carries out. Is there a rock bottom to that? Which which people?

Speaker: I've run out of wrestling appropriate puns. I wrote that down when you guys were doing your thing. I thought I could do that on the walk back. Love it. um Everyone doesn't get it. He's like, but I don't know which.

Speaker: Who's people? and What elbow? By the time that you have... ah Even finished digesting ah the the rations you would have scoffed at breakfast, you arrive back in the vicinity of Beach Barrow Port.

Speaker: Yay.

Speaker: Where's your next destination? Are you heading back to... Wasn't Chip? Wasn't McBenner here to like track down a criss-crack activity? and They've all buggered off. The only one left here, isn't isn't it Vossan? Hasn't he got a trading house here?

Speaker: There is an office here. If you want to refer to the map, please feel free to do so. is it Is it worth us? and i Is it worth us trying to have something to go back to the others with information or or not? We've got fuck tons of information and speed. I feel like where we're pretty set.

Speaker: I'm just saying because obviously they were all here for a reason and then they all fucked off. But yeah, okay. I'll just put it out put out there Dicking over Voss hasn't sounded like a good idea, but it's just saying.

Speaker: I just feel like with everything, time on balls, shoulders, tempting fate.

Speaker: Maybe not in our best interest. Tick tock, clip clop, splish splosh. Okay, let's let's go to the boat. I feel like Tharok, you were on the cusp of saying something there. i would like a shield because I'm now using a spear and it's better to fight with that, but it doesn't have to take precedence. Ermon gives him his shield.

Speaker: Thank you. Let's find the bolt. Nice. Here you go. Have that. nice and as you go ah that You come in via that southern road and you pass to the west of Beach Barra Port, the caravansary where Trunks is tied up and being the only elephant in that vicinity.

Speaker: Thava sort of gestures towards you all. I guess this is where I say bye for now.

Speaker: Yeah. Don't nick our elephant.

Speaker: I won't. um If you don't see me, then something's happened on the road. I will be at Scorchelm. Don't that. Yeah, that makes me feel nervous for Trunks. I know these sounds. I apologize. I know these sounds.

Speaker: This is Trunks, though. like Treat Trunks with the respect that Trunks deserves. He's part of the Undying Champions. If anything, he is the Undying Champion.

Speaker: He has come pretty close a couple of times. and Just as much as we are. I promise you, under protection Clan Silvermoon, I will care for Trunks.

Speaker: There's no finest deed.

Speaker: Barl's going to breathe out a bit of smoke, which forms the shape of an elephant, breathe it in, and cast Speak with Animals, and he's going to say to Trunks, Trunks, you're going to be making your way back to Scorch Helm.

Speaker: With Thara here. She will look after you. She's said as such. ah Feel free to tell me if she doesn't when you arrive. And also, if if things go wrong and you get into a bit of trouble and you need to run, save yourself.

Speaker: Save her if you can, but save yourself. It's okay to leave the others to die. You're part of the boot trunks.

Speaker: and it's sort of can see from this distance you sort of swish of the tail not really a nod because an elephant wouldn't do that but just and approval of a trunk and tail at the same time chuns little not and she sort of walks up and like like a hoarse whisperer she she like really knows exactly how to handle him straight away to sort of greet him appropriately like comfort him um and then begins to sort of do the the checks of saddling and and attaching to the car

Speaker: And you head northward still. And that that shore breeze nicks again. Fills those nostrils. A familiar feel. You meander through a couple alleyways. To your back at the Sailmaker's Guild.

Speaker: It's not open. It's still too early. But this place has been quiet. But there. Still. The only ship. In the entire port.

Speaker: Is the Torch Tabaxi.

Speaker: Gangplank isn't there because someone tried to enter it and triggered you know the boobies. and

Speaker: But and how would you like to proceed? Let's not get attacked by water this time. Don't know what you're talking about. Tharok, there's your ship. Ah, good. There it is. The severed compass.

Speaker: And he's going to walk towards it and he's going to go, Cratch. Cratch.

Speaker: And to the eye, nothing seems to happen. Bullshit. my My friend would not lie to me about trap. Let's just see what happens. Okay, go step on the boat.

Speaker: Okay, I'll go and step on the boat. There's no gangplank, so you're going to have to like leap onto it because the gangplank... will do that. I am very strong and can leap very far. And as you leap off the jetty, you land firmly on the deck of the ship.

Speaker: Nothing happens. See? Told you. My friend would not do that to me. Now get on board my ship.

Speaker: Don't have to ask me twice. I've been waiting for this date. And next we'll do a run and jump. Nice. And ah is everyone one by one hopping on? Yep.

Speaker: Oh, yes. oh yes and you stand on the the deck of the Torch Tabaxi. It's a small vessel, but a quick one. Two sails, two masts.

Speaker: There is a ah single cabin and then the hull down below. That single cabin sits underneath a raised platform where the wheel and the rudder is. It has no cannons, but it does have the the capacity on deck for cannons. There is the cutouts on the side of the ship.

Speaker: It is provisioned. It is well stocked. It has been maintained by the Sailmakers Guild.

Speaker: All it needs is a heading and people willing to sail it.

Speaker: The cabins that that ah cabin door is locked. That's the only thing that is a apparent. Farrakh will try the H-shaped key in the lock.

Speaker: And as you put the key in the lock and twist it, there's a bit of a force on the door. like you have to Like you get it ajar, a jar couple of centimeters only, but it's catching on something.

Speaker: And Nick's a very familiar smell is catching your nose.

Speaker: Sort of metallic-y, tangy almost, that's coming out of that cabin.

Speaker: ah Tharok? Right now, Tharok, you're kind of like having to put some pressure on the door. to I'm getting ready to give this a shove. Just be careful.

Speaker: on, Tharok. Give it some weather. What am I being careful for? Just getting a foreboding sense from that door. It's

Speaker: your ship. but Okay, it's my ship. It's your choice. What's foreboding about the door? It's a door I don't understand. Yeah. yeah It's too long to explain.

Speaker: just Just arm yourself.

Speaker: How do you want to proceed, Theric? Are you just bashing the door? Farak will take a step back and he's now... just going to give this door ah a sniff himself, and he's just glancing at it now with a degree of intent that something would dare soil McBenner's home.

Speaker: Is there something in there, tiefling?

Speaker: i

Speaker: Just make sure there's no traps around. And then we'll be ready for whatever comes out.

Speaker: Seth's kicking the door in. All right. Make an athletics check, Seth. Fuck yeah. Go on, Seth. I've at it. 24. We've done this a couple of times. Oh, yeah!

Speaker: Fucking hell. Your niche is kicking doors in. 100%. hundred percent

Speaker: How do you approach? Is it a shoulder budge? Is it a foot jobby? It's like half jump. It's like shoulder and head. It's mainly head, but it's not meant to be. It's meant to be shoulder. he just He's just stood there and he's impatient and and he's going to sprint forward and Mithravar kind of chittering away. He's going to throw his half body against it at full fucking tilt though.

Speaker: So he's had full Usain Bolt sprint, jumps and his half foot in the air just smashes into it. If it was thinner like plywood, it would leave a seth shaped i outline as he breaks through, but I'm assuming it's thicker.

Speaker: Knock into this door with all your might and whatever was lodged behind it that was stopping it from opening just pings out from underneath the board the door as you sort of bend some of those doorboards and like three sharp round discs just fly past to your head. You have to sort of dodge them. Can you make a dexterity saving throw, please?

Speaker: I absolutely can for you, Danny, and no one else were that that what I do this for. Just so you know. That's going to be 16. Yes, you managed to dodge these sort of palm-sized discs in this the speed of this impact. You can't really ascertain what they are. Nyx stood further back. You just see hit the deck.

Speaker: Three gold pieces. As Seth, once that door fully barges in, you are all blinded as the morning sun reflects off 54,000 gold pieces. McBanner was loaded.

Speaker: Minted, he was.

Speaker: Far out.

Speaker: Good. I appear to have a lot of money along with my boat. This is a nice discovery.

Speaker: Should have sold you the fucking Let me pick this up for you, Daruk.

Speaker: He's got his bag holding and he's just kind of filling the bag. I'll pick this up for you. Don't you worry.

Speaker: Stop putting gold. there Stop stealing my gold. I'm happy to share, but please, can we just like maybe think about the smartest way to deal with this? Right now, i yeah getting right now i I would say let's get this ship away from the port yeah as fast as possible.

Speaker: Right you are, Chiefling. Right you are, Nick's career. I will do that. He's going to walk up to the steering wheel. and and you said oh No, no, The anchor. The anchor. Start with the anchor. Way anchor.

Speaker: That's what I am. It's not a steering wheel. He's going to walk around to the to to to the wheel and then be like, yes, the anchor. Where is it? Right. It's off the starboard quarter. Yes, starboard.

Speaker: You should stand there. Face out towards the sea.

Speaker: Ah, hold your right hand out. Yeah. Congratulations. You found starboard. Very good. In front of you is the bow. To the left of you is port. And to the rear is the stern. So if I say off starboard quarter, I mean to lower right. That's where the anchor is. it not called the bow rather than the bow?

Speaker: Doesn't matter. Do you know how to do this? I'm just saying. That big change is what you're referring to, yes? Yes. Pull it out. ah He'll go and start pulling up the chain.

Speaker: we Good. We we like that. What was the going rate? to your tutor I just want to get this fucking boat that is glistening in the sun away from the port. Do we need to tie ourselves off from the docks? Could you? Yeah, well, no, because it wasn't tied off on the docks.

Speaker: it was in fuck No, it's just anchored up and it had its fucking... it It's all good. Could you just get the sails and furl them, please? Alpha, give everyone a hand.

Speaker: Very well. Okay, cool. We're getting somewhere way here. Baal, do you want stay at the bow? Baal? I kind of want to swim in that. but like yes i can I'll stand at the front and keep an eye out.

Speaker: Amazing. No, I'm not the captain. He's the captain. But we've got all this gold and ah well it's a sunny day.

Speaker: It's going to be visible. Maybe we should shut the door. I thought it spilled out. ah About 200 gold spilled out. The rest is in that. Oh, shit. Close the fucking door.

Speaker: Tharok, are you going to stare?

Speaker: i don't think that's a good idea. she Okay, I'm going to stare. Next we'll run up. And grab hold. Didn't we nearly, as Emron's sort of doing, unfortunately, turns to Alpha, didn't we nearly break the last boat that we captured?

Speaker: m Yes, but that was because of, you know, ah friendly fire. Absolute responsibility for that one. I won't be doing that again. No giant crocodiles. no It's a rule. No giant crocodiles on the boat. Is that okay, Tharok, as a rule?

Speaker: I like this rule. Why would we want a giant crocodile on the boat? I don't understand. don't How many sails are on this boat, DM? There are two sails and on two masks, so there are four sails in total.

Speaker: Seth, do you want to deal with the sail nearest the bow bow? He's going to climb up and ah fumble with it for a bit. Whether he's successful or not, it's unsure. Well, but anyone can decide. After that, though, he will instantly go to the highest crow's nest and start eating pistachio nuts and i start throwing and start flicking the um shells down at people who are working below.

Speaker: Nice. And as we were in this scene where where the heavy lifting is being covered by Tharok, Emron Seth Alpha are all tending to the sails.

Speaker: Baal surveying the ship. Maybe navigator cane in hand, knowing the direction of north is helpful. Have attuned to it, yeah. And over your shoulder, taking in that direction, hand on a rudder, looking at a horizon on a boat, full of money, is Nyx Corral.

Speaker: Sea breeze between your horns.

Speaker: And that's where we're going to end this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, Bellum Draconis. I think that's just like the end of the season. That's it. We've won. We've won. We've got a name as well. The Undying Shabbard.

Speaker: Nick, did you make that connection? Not until you fucking wrote it. What connection? So when Nyx tried to mind fuck Prego, Prego showed him a vision of Nyx captaining a ship with Baal near him, ah like looking really smug and really happy, and we've just done it.

Speaker: and

Speaker: yeah We fucked it.

Speaker: And speaking of fucking it. The end. The end. We sail off into the distance, never to engage with the plot again. The Undying Champions. We've got a fucking name. On the severed compass.

Speaker: 147 episodes. It's too good name for a ship. but i was like this this drop yeah I'll let you have that down. If you're a fan of the names that we've come up with this episode.

Speaker: I just feel like The Rock is that. That um rather that broke me. Fantastic. ah We have web websites, guys, or a singular one, and then a series of social medias. But if you would like to find out more about what we do, ah head to thefellowshipofthetabletop.co.uk.
