Look, I know this is late. Like a week and a day late. I'm sorry. Give me a break! Just kidding, nobody even noticed a new ep didn't drop last week. Definitely not my Mom who isn't listening to the show because, "it's not her thing" or "she will later". Speaking of my only friend, my Mom, this week, we chop it up with Maggie Arai who founded Happier. What's Happier you ask? Thanks for asking. It's a meet-up group designed specifically for adults who are finding it challenging to make friends. Is it easier to make friends when you're a kid? Why? Probably because everything is easier when you're a kid. Why? Probably because you had things like hope, belief, imagination, courage, you know - all the things that life slowly strips away from you until you're dead inside. What? Am I lying? I mean, I guess you're either just dead inside or still hopeful but eternally disappointed so basically forever getting waterboarded on the inside. Is it still funny or has it gotten too dark? Correct, it was never funny. Ok, ok, let's get to it. Here's to old friends, new friends and those on the way. Remember Julius Caesar though? I should've interviewed him. Damn. He's both dead inside and outside because of friendship. Here's to you Julius. May you all have better friends than he did.
