Speaker: part of this spell, zip plates that, for the next seven days, as long as you two are within 30 feet of each other, ah you get a plus two to your AC. What? ah What?

Speaker: That's mad. What? Seth looks at Tharok. Maybe we should...

Speaker: Hello everyone welcome to this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop by Lendriconis. We are a live play 5e 2024 D&D podcast set in the magical home, Bruid, World of Aerith in the Kingdom of Sleekguard slash Dralak.

Speaker: Joining you for this week's episode we have Ian who plays the tiefling, Walsaroa Nyx Karel. I'm getting married! We've got Will who plays the dragonborn druid, Balbalcon.

Speaker: We're getting married! Darren who plays the half-orc barbarian Thalak Sunjari. oh I love a wedding. Peebee, who plays the rules consultant, human cleric Emron.

Speaker: Don't worry, guys I got my ministry on the internet. And unfortunately, Callum can't be here today because he's fucking the pip size of an apple. My name is Mark and I'm playing human one yeah

Speaker: That's how trees are made, kids. yeah I'm playing Seth Farah-Rever. And by last, but my no means least is... The... I'm picking one... It's in my mind! It's in my mind's I can't unsee! The apple's your eye.

Speaker: Here's an old... Here's an old favourite that i put in pink highlighter because I loved it so much. He puts the rim in Rimjob, the cum in Community, the bum in Bumfire, and the dick in in Indicator. He puts the, oh yes, master, in Dungeon Master. Dungeon Master Danny.

Speaker: Five out of six of those are true. We're going to decide which. And speaking of which, and speaking of some things being true, we see old Gail stood in front of a street performer who plays that game with dice and cups. And as we zoom in very, very, very, very slowly, like the rescuers down under across the plains of Australia, and we see old Gail guessing correctly every single time, much to the ire of the street performer. And as he walks away with just a few extra gold coins in his pocket, ah he turns and notices us, listener, and begins.

Speaker: Punk-ass bitch street performer. Ooh! Tiloire didn't hear the decision, but it turns out Emron and Delmon were against. Helena and Drago, in words, led to blades, which led to ally on ally, which led to Emron almost killing Helena, Drago killing Emron, Delmon icing, Drago and Prego fleeing like a bitch. Bar makes a potential connection. Is this decision something to do with the guards? The group gruminate on how many different followers took part, and maybe that's what caused the disagreement? The parties get ready for their last...

Speaker: Night. Emron wants to talk hells. He suggests front-loading holy shit before entering them hells, kind of like double-bagging. There's a montage of epicness. Alpha has finished the interdimensional pocket, and Seth brings out the bottle, and it's time for final goodbyes. They talk hopes, fears, inspirations, faith, but most of all, love.

Speaker: Emran suggests marriage of Nixon ball and Seth reads a beautiful poem from the back of his book. But then Prego's tattoos on the arms of those who have them, tattoos, not arms, begin to glow white hot.

Speaker: The white light.

Speaker: rolls down your arm and with it, the demonic ink that has been residing there since the day after Rain's death

Speaker: forms into a sphere of light in the center of the room.

Speaker: And while the six of you are kind of equally spaced around this table with this empty bottle,

Speaker: a ghostly, ethereal form begins to appear at a seventh seventh spot around this table.

Speaker: The unmistakable,

Speaker: Prego the Majestic.

Speaker: Never entirely reaches physical form. He has this kind of see-through translucency about him.

Speaker: But he isn't dressed how you remember. In fact, he's barely dressed at all. He has bruises, cuts, abrasions, burns.

Speaker: Had you not been so fixated for months on destroying him

Speaker: and converting his memory, his image to your memory, you may not have recognized him, but he takes form for a moment nonetheless.

Speaker: And weekly, you hear in all of your minds

Speaker: And so...

Speaker: The pact is completed.

Speaker: am to have a seat at the end of things.

Speaker: And he weakly smiles at you all.

Speaker: Uh... This isn't the end of things, Prego. are you You've come a little bit early, my friend. This isn't the end. This is the prelude.

Speaker: We're coming to get you.

Speaker: No.

Speaker: It is too late.

Speaker: Too late how? Like, too late you're already dead? Too late you're dying? Too late you don't want to be rescued? Too late you actually have had a change of heart and you and Tolkilon are now the best of buddies and you're just going to stay down there having little tea parties and some hot dogs and some burgers and you're just going enjoy the rest of your life down there living large.

Speaker: One of those. Oh, for fuck.

Speaker: I did it. It's my fault. My bad. I forgot who was dealing with, guys.

Speaker: I'm struggling

Speaker: to continue breath.

Speaker: but you need to hold on because we are coming to get you to because you need to be there because you've been there before and we need to come and get you. After everything you've been through the previous cycles, I know stuff this cycle has been a bit screwy and you've done what you've had to do.

Speaker: We saw the things that we said to each other at the end of of previous cycles. We can still come and get you.

Speaker: He looks genuinely shocked for the first time.

Speaker: What? How? How did you know this?

Speaker: Delmond showed us some of that stuff from previous And the snake?

Speaker: Here's the snake.

Speaker: Here's the snake. Yes, he is. he's He's a twat. We agree. um and And he has screwed everybody royally. But the point is that you have been there before.

Speaker: You know things that we don't. And we know that you have helped in the past. And as much you've done what you've done this time to make us hate you, you've done that because that's what you I said you had to do.

Speaker: He starts crying.

Speaker: It has been so hard, Emron.

Speaker: I know, and I'm sorry for what you've had to go through. I know we haven't had whatever connection we've had before, but that doesn't mean that, you know, people can be forgiven because you had to do what you had to do. And we know why now. We are coming to get you. You just need to hold on.

Speaker: I don't know how long I can.

Speaker: You've had us put our faith in you and bind ourselves to you. Put your faith in me now.

Speaker: I won't have long.

Speaker: The last...

Speaker: last I could give was keeping my connection to you all.

Speaker: And now, I do not have the strength to keep that up.

Speaker: Focus on your strength and focus on looking after yourself. We will find you. We will get you out.

Speaker: You must be quick.

Speaker: I... Us...

Speaker: This is all that's keeping Tolkilon from entering Aerith. And I need to sever it now.

Speaker: If I have any chance of surviving.

Speaker: Okay. If you sever that, how long before Tolkilon is able to get out? Straight away or what?

Speaker: He is here.

Speaker: He is watching this. Of course he is.

Speaker: He knows.

Speaker: He knows there is nothing stopping him now. ah apart from us. And if he if he's there, just spit in his face for us because we are going to come and get him and and we're going to twat his plan back into the hells where he came from and he can fuck off and sulk because he's not going to win.

Speaker: What must I do? Stay strong. Stay alive. We are coming to get you because you've got answers. I'm sure you can help us get to this end game and finish it once and for all because there's no reset after this.

Speaker: How do you know this? You're not supposed to know this. Yeah, but we do. And that maybe that's the difference now.

Speaker: It's all or nothing now. it's It's all got to be done in one. This cycle has be it. So it's time for us to stop playing cards close to a chest. We're going to come and get you and you're going to, you know, give us straight answers so we can help each other win.

Speaker: But you've got to stay alive for that to happen.

Speaker: Otherwise, that, connection you had with me in those previous cycles, that promise that I asked you to do.

Speaker: It's all for nothing if you die now.

Speaker: Very well.

Speaker: I don't know how long I have, but i will try.

Speaker: I will try. do it for what we shared.

Speaker: He turns to the rest of you, slowly.

Speaker: Locks eyes on you, Seth, eventually. But he goes, sorry. Turns to bow.

Speaker: For the deceit. For the lies. For the twisting. For all of it.

Speaker: turns to Nyx.

Speaker: I learned from the best. was gonna say, don't have to say sorry to me for deceit and lies. I've made them part of my god damn character sheet.

Speaker: And looks around.

Speaker: Goodbye, Aerith.

Speaker: Thank you.

Speaker: You're welcome. Oh, sorry. Was that? No, no, no, no. For what it's worth, Prego. We don't think you're a cunt.

Speaker: Maybe next to us. I don't know. In a good way, like a lovable cunt.

Speaker: Like, oh here he is. Uncle Prego, the lovable cunt, that kind of thing.

Speaker: He weakly wipes a tear from his eye.

Speaker: am glad to hear your voices one last time. But it's not going to be the last time because we're coming to get you. And he gives you a sharp look back.

Speaker: He doesn't blink. He just looks you deadpan in the eyes.

Speaker: And his form fades into dust.

Speaker: And the light disappears.

Speaker: And your arms are now clear. And you see your skin again. Or at least as it was the day before Reigns left.

Speaker: Not going to lie, was kind of getting used to them.

Speaker: um I'm going to be honest with everyone here and everyone sort of looks towards Seth. I think we have to leave before you guys go tomorrow midday.

Speaker: understand.

Speaker: I don't think we've got time to wait. do you, Seth?

Speaker: I don't want to miss our opportunity. So no, I'd rather be there early and be ready.

Speaker: Okay. Which means if you two want to

Speaker: want me to marry you. I think that looking over at Baal, the moment's come and gone. No, it hasn't.

Speaker: We're doing this. I'd like to do it Everyone's going to join us

Speaker: join it nap now? Right now, right here. Right here, right now? We're surrounded by family. Okay, I'm in.

Speaker: What do we do? I can start getting things prepared. Okay, and we have sex. yeah there's a few There's a few vows you two have to say to each other. um and then I've already signed the sheet that he's asked for this.

Speaker: He sent me a consent form a long time ago. it Yeah, there's a lot of stuff on that list. Yeah. anyway that There's some magic involved. Many shades of the greys in there.

Speaker: Bal, you want your family to be a You should go get them. Nick, if there's anybody else, you want to be here. This is my family. Okay. You guys. Okay.

Speaker: um Okay. ah I need a ring. Hang on. Who's got a ring? I need a ring. Someone give me a ring. Someone give me a ring. i need a ring. I need a ring. I need a ring. Someone give me a ring. Who's got a ring? Someone around here's got me a ring. As Nick goes running around the place. I'm going to use one of my Channel Divinities to make a ring.

Speaker: Go for it. Bring out a hammer. Fix it. Felix whatever his name is. I've got ring. Yeah. I'm going to create a... I've got the ring of foresight. Fuck you.

Speaker: Oh yeah. I'm using my ring. There you

Speaker: boom I've got our girl's ring. I'll take Emron's because I have got one, but it's one that Alpha made that I think if he changes the attunement on it, it just disappears. Yeah, don't want Okay, so Emron uses his child divinity and there's a glowing, he takes some gold out of his pouch and he's going to create a ring for Baal to give to Nyx and it's going to be a a little dragon sort of engraved ring that sort of entwines onto itself.

Speaker: um that's almost It almost looks like Baal on a little ring that you can give to Nick's.

Speaker: Ooh, I'm excited. And and I'm going to give Old Girls' ring that he gave to me to Baal.

Speaker: Okay, right. um I think you two need to come and stand here next to me. um The rest of you, want to. Okay. Okay. Seth, hold on. we need like We need best people, right?

Speaker: If you would like to be Yes, that's fine. Tharok, you come with me.

Speaker: Tharok will smile and go and stand behind Nyx. will you my shield mate? Alpha just looks confused about where he should go. Alpha, forgot you were here. um Do you want to... Bridal group, Which side? Which He could hold the rings.

Speaker: Yes, the ring bearer. Brilliant. I can do that. oh I love this.

Speaker: Right, Tharic, you've got to say something real nice about me in speech later on. Like a toast. okay Yeah. Get thinking. No, no pressure, but I want it to be really good.

Speaker: And it's got to highlight my best assets and features.

Speaker: Chef, can we swap sides? Seth, I really won. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I can do it. Of course, I can fucking do it.

Speaker: Whether they're getting fucking married or what. Okay, right. Emon will start to cast... ceremony What does that feel like for us? ah So ah it's... I think you just start to see ah the rings will that being held by Alpha ah start to glow. I put... um I put ah Baal and Nyx, they hold their hands, and there's sort of a glow, like little tendrils of light start to wrap themselves around their hands as they are um entwined.

Speaker: And then Emron begins.

Speaker: Nyx.

Speaker: You were born beneath whispers of flame and shadow, marked by your horns and embered by blood and by stories written long before you draw breath. Before you met Baal, you were only surviving.

Speaker: But Baal saw you, not as an ormond, not as a warning, not something to fear. but as a soul. He traced the curve of your horns as though they were a crown.

Speaker: He held your tail as though it were sacred. He kissed the heat from your skin and called it warmth. Where others saw Elfire, he saw a hearth.

Speaker: Nyx, do you vow that your fire within you will never scorch Baal, only shield him?

Speaker: Yeah, I do.

Speaker: Nyx, do you swear to stand between Baal and every storm?

Speaker: Proudly, I do. Will you turn your cunning to his protection?

Speaker: I do. Will you turn your stubbornness to his defence?

Speaker: Uh, sure. And will you turn your passion into his joy? You bet your sweet ass I will.

Speaker: And if the world calls you fiend, Nyx, let it tremble, for you are Baals. In ash or in glory, in shadow or in dawnlight, you have chosen him.

Speaker: again and always.

Speaker: Baal.

Speaker: You were raised in the shadow of ancient wings. You were taught that honour is iron, that strength is survival, that legacy is everything.

Speaker: And then you met Nix. You learned that strength can be gentle.

Speaker: Nyx does not bow to your scales. He does not fear your breath. He stands before you, fearless, and he calls you home.

Speaker: He has built a sanctuary in your chest.

Speaker: Baal, do you vow to Nyx that your fire will warm him, never wound him?

Speaker: With every fucking ember. Do you vow that your claws will carve a future for you both?

Speaker: Of course. Do you vow that your wings will shelter him from every harm?

Speaker: I do.

Speaker: You will be his shield in battle.

Speaker: You're calm in rage and you will be each other's steady ground when doubt coils tight.

Speaker: Let other dragons look upon this. Let the world watch. You have chosen love for each other over any legacy.

Speaker: You have chosen each other over pride.

Speaker: in every lifetime written in scale and flame, you two will be each other's treasure.

Speaker: Baal, you will guard Nyx always.

Speaker: Ania, in front of your family, in the light of a leader whose blessings are channeled,

Speaker: I bound you two together in sacred marriage so your love will go on towards the future. And then everyone sort of steps back and gestures to Alpha to present the rings to you both.

Speaker: If either would like to say anything to each other, now is your time.

Speaker: Do you want me to go? you want to go? Well, I usually get mine, so you go first. Okay, okay. hey Yeah. I don't normally go first. i ah um So, and Nick grabs the ring of foresight from Alpha, and just before he slides it onto your finger, will look you in your eyes and say,

Speaker: In all

Speaker: the different circumstances, all the different timelines, and all the different a adventures, I didn't think i would deserve anyone like you.

Speaker: You have this innate ability to turn even my darkest mistakes into

Speaker: moments that made me who I am to- today.

Speaker: And you make it

Speaker: all okay.

Speaker: You make it better than okay.

Speaker: It's a love that I will forever be trying to repay. I promise I will spend all my moments

Speaker: trying to make you feel the way that you've made me feel.

Speaker: You're my fire star, baby. Let's go sail the fucking seas together. And slide the ring over your finger.

Speaker: But was kind of weeping a little bit. Oh, fuck. How do I fucking follow that again? Nix, done. you want me say it for you? I can say for you. I'd be like, oh, Nix, I've never met anyone dreamier than you. Your horns are bigger than just the ones on your head. Like that kind of thing.

Speaker: I've got the horn for you. I'm shit with words, but. You got this. I've got this.

Speaker: Corinthos Nathadraxam. No, not in... It's my fucking native tongue! Okay, okay, okay. I can translate. Do you know what?

Speaker: From ash to ember to inferno. Nix.

Speaker: I am yours.

Speaker: I love you.

Speaker: And he'll take the ring and I'll bring it up to his eyeline. And kind of as the tears are and like, he's got happy tears. He's like streaking down his face. One in particular will kind of burn hotter. He'll take it from his finger. He'll kind of almost like smooth it around the ring and breathe fire onto it and cast continual flame on this ring.

Speaker: So this ring now is enchanted ah to basically be forever a light. um It sheds bright light for 20 feet and dim light for an extra 20 feet after that. It looks like a regular flame. It doesn't create heat. It consumes no fuel or anything like that.

Speaker: um But it's just a burning, a burning golden ring that he slides onto your finger.

Speaker: And now with the rings exchanged in the light of Aledo, you are married. And the spell that's been wrapping around you both has now traveled across your whole body in this glow.

Speaker: And then it sinks into your skin and you both feel a very strong connection to each other. um And yeah, you now have a you have a bonus for the next seven days with each other.

Speaker: A bonus. There is a perk to this. Bonus. I've got a bonus for seven days. Part part part of the spell that just stipulates that for the next seven days, as long as you two are within 30 feet of each other, ah you get a plus two to your AC.

Speaker: um ah What? That's mad. What? Seth looks at Farak. Maybe we should...

Speaker: No, no, it's not worth it because you're going to the Hells and I'm going on the ship. I'd like to imagine... imaron I'd like to imagine during all of this that we haven't noticed that Drago and Syngar are still sat drinking at the back of the room.

Speaker: Yeah, no, that's a that's a that's ah a level one spell ah that gives a massive bonus the next seven days. Oh, my God! Ship's leaving in eight days. It's fine.

Speaker: I'm joking. Oh, that's on the eighth day. Yeah. now For the next seven days, each target gains a two-plus bonus to AC while they're within 30 feet of each other. There you go.

Speaker: Nice. Nice. oh um Fuck yeah. Will, that was fucking beautiful, man. though Yeah. Well done, Will. Props to the celebrant. Just think I threw together. fine. When do we consummate?

Speaker: I don't know. Do we have to talk about like surname? And also, like i know that it's you know it's quite traditional to split gold. I wondered if we didn't have to like think of all the traditions.

Speaker: I didn't sign no prenup. No. No. Good. Right. um I think. super guys sorry mika so I think we need to.

Speaker: Seth and I and.

Speaker: We need. Oh, you'll go to the hells. Cool. Yeah. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. This could be the last time. Either tonight or I think early.

Speaker: I don't know how long we've got.

Speaker: It sounded quite intimate. Yeah. Do you think Prego's magic fading there, you do you think that means he's

Speaker: gone? No, the way he said it was that he he couldn't keep that connection towards, it was draining him. So I'm hoping that he's let that connection go so he can focus on his own strength.

Speaker: Plus he might have some mental fortitude now, knowing that we are coming for him. Yes. He's not languishing alone. He has something to hope for. And hope is a powerful But that equally, Emron was right that the longer he's down there, the more likely it will be that he's not coming out.

Speaker: I think speed is of the essence. So we need to Is Drago in that room? I don't think he is. No, it's just a six. We need to go find Drago.

Speaker: We need to speak to someone from the Wingwatch. need to find out where the nearest gate is and we need to go. You can't break the curse without the key.

Speaker: No, but we can get Prigo out and get ready.

Speaker: The hells will be filled, won't they? It's a suicide mission.

Speaker: Maybe they won't expect it to happen.

Speaker: Don't they empty? They empty to come here. Well, Delman empties it, but that's in a set number of days.

Speaker: Any consolation, Bal? We're about to sail one ship into an entire navy. One of the most efficient navies in the entire world. we We're all about suicide missions. Well, we're going to have time an armada on our side, aren't we?

Speaker: Plus we don't know in the hells how far away we are from where we need to be when we get there. It might be three days of walking for all we know. If not, we'll just hunker down and tell funny jokes to each other until the time right. Dragonborn will really like that.

Speaker: Yeah, that's what I'm hoping for. Piss him off. Now, we got a bit of a plan. Let's be honest, all plans go well into the hit reality. We'll have to use our instincts.

Speaker: Just trust in each other. No more talking. We'll manage to change anything from now. I think at best, Emron, he looks towards you, Emron.

Speaker: I think we should go now. Fine, try and go.

Speaker: We need to make haste. We've got a portion each. Give me signal when we're in position. And I'll get you another Give me signal. through the sending stones when we're about to pass the key.

Speaker: You'll have six seconds from the second signal.

Speaker: Fewer probably.

Speaker: I suppose the key popping out through the pot would be a good signal to us to say, here is, go. But obviously we've only got six seconds, but yeah. Yeah. Before talking on comes down upon you like a ton of infernal bricks we'll get it done okay um and and both of you like undying champions if you need to leave anyone down there to escape and get yourselves out of there that's okay just putting out there there's some people that aren't part of this group you can run okay

Speaker: Emron's going to pull out the sending stone that links to Drago's stone. He's going to give it to Baal. Here's a sending stone that's paired with Drago's. Right. well Take his from him. I'm not talking to him. I'm talking to you, Emron.

Speaker: Okay, fine. Okay. Right. Fuck that guy.

Speaker: we need to find We need to find out where the nearest gate is need to get there. ah scott I'm sure it's quite obvious. We'll find it. Lots of gold-headed fucks. Yeah, i'd just rather not be blundering around.

Speaker: I'm sure the wind watch will know where one is. <unk> I agree. Hey, how about this, lads? We'll meet back in here not long from now and we'll tell the story of what we did and how we survived.

Speaker: Absolutely. Yeah? And then we then we can have a big party to celebrate their wedding. Fuck yeah, you need to be back for that. Yeah. Yeah, wedding part two.

Speaker: We'll do like a whole thing. On what's left of our boat. i will Yeah! yeah I love this idea. Oh, I'm feeling like it could take a long time.

Speaker: Could fill a whole, like, I don't know, episode or something. I really like this idea. Okay, right. arm nods one I'm not one for protracted exits or long goodbyes.

Speaker: And then Seth's going to walk out the door. Seth, Seth, wait, wait, wait, wait. And he'll run to you, spin you around, give you a hug. who And he will breathe fire into his hand, push it into your chest and cast aid, which only for the next eight hours, but it'll give you 10 extra. In fact, no, fuck it, because I can sleep tonight. I'm going to do it.

Speaker: Oh, shit. Can i do this at fourth level? I think I can. level above i think i can i can i don't know whether i think it's the ah every level above I should probably have... done I didn't have time to plan this for each spell slot. Oh, yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, cool. ah So you will get your maximum hit points for the next eight hours, which obviously isn't going to help you too much, ah will increase by 20.

Speaker: Holy shit. As he spunks a fourth level spell slot into you and into Emron. doubled mine. that's pretty good for a wizard. Nice. Only for eight hours. It might not be helpful, but... Better than a poking of the sharp stick.

Speaker: Mm-hmm. Seth would really know what you've done, but would just kind of nod a look of appreciation and a slight smile from one corner of his mouth and then ah turn hastily, briskly and swiftly and out the door without looking back. Before you go, ah Seth, Farrak will just nod.

Speaker: And... He'll... There you go. No, i was just going to say he'd nod back in recognition of that. ah He'd walk over to Emron and just hold out a hand.

Speaker: Emron takes it. You look after them others, okay?

Speaker: You do the same. Good luck, Emron. will. You too. Right, going to find Drago. Let's... I don't

Speaker: ah don't want to ruin... Come on, Emron. We go way back. Okay, Nyx. Don't die again. Okay, yep, yep, yep. You too.

Speaker: And... Just remember what I said. you You and Baal look after each other. Even if I don't come back, I still expect you to look after each other. I'm going to stick real close to Baal. Like within, i don't know, if I had to put a measurement to it, 30 feet.

Speaker: ah Come back, come on. I will. But at the end of the day, the mission comes first. We all know that.

Speaker: Baal usually comes first. ah Don't forget, leave the dragon ball behind if you need to. Throw him at the fucking Tolkelon thing and you yeet out of there, all right?

Speaker: Okay. Look after for each other and look after Alpha. I know he doesn't say much. It's like he's not here, but... i You make that joke and as you turn, he's blocking your way out.

Speaker: oh oh

Speaker: ah Dad. Yeah.

Speaker: This is not goodbye. No.

Speaker: I won't lose both of you. I know. But if you don't see me for a long time, I'm not gone. And Emeron will tap Alpha's chest.

Speaker: I'm still in here. Even if you don't know, I'm there.

Speaker: There's still a lot you need to teach me.

Speaker: I think at this point, Alpha, it's time for you to start to discover the world for yourself. I've put you on a path. I can't make decisions for you.

Speaker: You have to know what's right for yourself.

Speaker: I know we don't get to choose our parents.

Speaker: But I'm rather fond of mine.

Speaker: I'm fond of you too, Alpha.

Speaker: Look after them.

Speaker: Look after yourself. Look after Seth. I will.

Speaker: Right. And he moves out the way.

Speaker: We'll try and say goodbye before we go. We're going to get everything right ready. Need find Drago.

Speaker: And then Ron walks out with a purpose. And Seth too?

Speaker: Yeah, the minute he had free reign, he would have automatically got himself out of there as quick as possible. um To other situations. I would be waiting, muttering and staring at the ground, waiting for everyone to come out with him.

Speaker: Alpha, that was some of the most beautiful words I think I've ever heard you say.

Speaker: What can I say? I'm feeling inspired today.

Speaker: I like this new you. I hope it stays.

Speaker: So talkative.

Speaker: ah Would you say, Alpha, that when you, like, perhaps tomorrow, the first thing you will do is burst into song, like, randomly just burst into song? That would be amazing.

Speaker: Like, like when when you when you feel as if you've got your old self back, the next thing you will do is burst into song.

Speaker: I couldn't say.

Speaker: Like usual.

Speaker: We follow Seth. We follow Emron. Then you're you're beelining to find Drago. It doesn't take you long to find him.

Speaker: Oh, Drago. We're going now. Are you ready? Yep. It's okay. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: Agreed.

Speaker: Yeah, I'm ready. Okay. ah Emron, who do we need to find now? Winged Watch person. The Winged Watch should know where the nearest gate is, unless Drago you know.

Speaker: Drago, do you know nearest gate of hell is? Or Hell of Gate? Okay, let's go. Okay, we've got our potions. We've left some for Baal and the others. Let's go. Okay. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

Speaker: And Seth takes a second and he looks concerned for a second. And then the concern shifts. Okay, I'm ready. Let's go.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Then you depart underneath this blood red aura emanating from the steel nightmare

Speaker: in a near pitch darkness.

Speaker: From your deductions, there are one of two locations that will be the closest. There is there is undoubtedly going to be ah a Hellgate in Goldview or the road to the east towards Snake Run.

Speaker: oh Drago would know which one's the nearest one so we'd head there sure that it's about equidistant so you could either head towards Goldview and jump a gate there or head into the desert it's about a day and a half's journey quicker if one of you tip if you're taking trunks you guys got any transport

Speaker: ah Seth clip-clop yeah All right, and he quickly runs over towards where im Trunks has been stabled and quickly attaches the little shack they've got behind it.

Speaker: um And in no time at all, really, it's a deft hand of this because I'm adept in land vehicles, and manages to get the thing up and running, ready to go, and brings Trunks round. um I'd like to think with a skid, but he's an elephant, so let's not be hasty.

Speaker: And um pulls up near you, Drago, with, again, it quite smirk on his face, like he's impressed with it. Jump on in. Yeah, solid transport. Yeah.

Speaker: Let's go. Let's fucking go Clip-clop. Eastwards. The party of three without car stands. head towards the desert and the closest gate.

Speaker: And you just watch those who remain as your friends, as your brother, as your father, Alpha,

Speaker: drive off into the night.

Speaker: For the rest of you who remain, the evening is late, and I imagine the newlyweds retire, unless there is anything.

Speaker: Alpha, Baal, Nyx, Tharok.

Speaker: Syinga, wish to discuss.

Speaker: Baal, before he goes back in, will just ignite his wildfire spirit again.

Speaker: safely, away from other people. I need to prep this every time. um Is it still the kind of... the is it like Does it seem to be a permanent shape of Alkaereth at this point? Cool. And he'll kind of call it back down to himself and try to connect with it again and simply just say in Draconic, please tell me you're close.

Speaker: You don't have much time.

Speaker: You don't hear anything back But the spirit is quite happily animated as a response.

Speaker: so Again, places head to the wildfire spirit.

Speaker: And turn and head back in. Kind of muttering under his breath. Didn't think they were going to fucking take trunks. I hope he comes back safe.

Speaker: As the the just married um sign on the back of it. um that Alfred had been planning for you all a surprise.

Speaker: who Then it sounds as though the evening... I've got one thing I'd like to do. Okay. So, ah while Biles outside,

Speaker: Nix is happier than he's ever been in his life. Content... in an overwhelmed way in the sort of way where one hug could set him off into tears, happy tears.

Speaker: And he's got so much emotion stored within him. He just

Speaker: takes a moment. He's going to sit down and, uh, in his ritualistic way, get out the orb from old girl. and No longer the ring of foresight, but instead the ring of eternal flame.

Speaker: And then his book from his patron. And he goes about learning more about the spells and

Speaker: looking over at the ring, smiling, looking at the orb. He's getting himself basically ready for the end of the day, doing what he normally does. He looks at the orb. like, oh, I'd really, really like to tell my other selves what's waiting because I had to wait for so long to feel like this. I need to make sure that they know it's all going to be okay. um And he's going to...

Speaker: pour his entire being into this orb, trying in some way to connect to either a distant part of himself or whomever is when um Emron first fixed this ah orb.

Speaker: He's trying so hard to connect to the other side of it. And he's pouring all his arcanic ability into this thing.

Speaker: Okay. Could you make... not what an arcana skill is.

Speaker: I'll do whatever spell you or skill you want. Is there any spells you have prepared that you think might be able to kind of animate or cause effect on an innate object?

Speaker: I would like to cast clairvoyance through it. Okay. Okay. at ah level three. um So clairvoyance works of a i'm kind of i'm gonna i'm gonna do it anyway the spell written down won't allow this so i create an invisible sensor within range of a location familiar to me the location familiar to me is this orb i'm gonna send clairvoyance through it in the hope that i get that reading on the other side of it that some sensor picks up

Speaker: um So I choose seeing or hearing. I'm going to choose seeing.

Speaker: And if it connects, I can use this chosen sense as if I were in that space itself. And as a bonus action, I can switch between seeing and hearing.

Speaker: But the sensor can be seen ah if a creature has seeing visibility or true sight. And it sees a luminous orb about the size of my fist.

Speaker: Okay. There you go, my DM. Yeah, you're you're taking some... Let's work with this. You're taking some artistic freedom, but um Yeah, but you kind of like it, right? You kind of like it. I'm not going to completely poo-poo you. So what I want you to do is i want you to make a charisma roll and adding your...

Speaker: Fuck it. Let's go for your spell attack modifier. Please. okay My spell attack modifier a plus seven. Yep. So charisma plus seven.

Speaker: Let's fucking go ah who is So I just click up to charisma. Let's fucking go. Let's do this. Okay. Oh, fuck off. I should have used the all or nothing coin. 12.

Speaker: so twelve

Speaker: That's bullshit.

Speaker: Should have rolled a dice. Should have rolled a dice. So with this kind of heightened determinism and riding off the adrenaline and the momentum and the the wholeness you feel right now,

Speaker: you put everything you feel you possibly can into every magical morsel in your being.

Speaker: and you are trying to communicate with some broken magical artifact as best you can and as you push yourself beyond a limit you felt you could do yesterday

Speaker: for a second you just see the image

Speaker: of a figure a figure with brilliantly bright blue robes with angular shoulders sharp corners at the base

Speaker: and it turns in that split second

Speaker: You see this jet black form within those ropes.

Speaker: And then you feel spent.

Speaker: Cool. Nyx tries to commit that image to memory and then will lethargically retire

Speaker: Fuck. Thank you for going with me on that though.

Speaker: And hour by hour,

Speaker: dawn eventually breaks.

Speaker: By alphas count, 41 days until the alignment. though recent events now may have accelerated that moment.

Speaker: As you wake, those who remain and begin to regather tuck into what provisions are left over from Tharock's exquisite meal the night before.

Speaker: your attention turns towards your packing.

Speaker: Specifically Alpha, Baal, Nyx and Tharok. And the short journey you must now make to where your ship has been repositioned.

Speaker: Not far,

Speaker: but maybe a day and a half. by foot quicker if you use some sort of speedier method.

Speaker: You pass through the kind of breakfast hours. say You say goodbye to your surroundings.

Speaker: And Baal, while you

Speaker: ah you're checking in

Speaker: with your fellow kin,

Speaker: there was a change in direction on the wind and a warmth on the breeze.

Speaker: And you know that only means one thing.

Speaker: You feel your heart begin to race. You feel excited. You feel that adrenaline.

Speaker: And then just interrupting the blaze of that rising morning sun is a flash of shadow.

Speaker: And as the trees around Goldport slash Negron keep begin to rustle adamantly with a large thud, this golden dragon lands about 40 feet to the south of the keep.

Speaker: and all of the dragonborn around you, Baal, fall to their knees in worship.

Speaker: And a kind of biblical-like ah procession now walls you in and encourages you to take steps towards Valkareth.

Speaker: your husband behind you, it your orcish companion, and your metallic friend.

Speaker: What you do? On the initial arrival, Baal will join his brood in dropping to a knee initially. And then with that channel there, he will, ah yeah, he'll he'll approach...

Speaker: again, almost tears of happiness streaming from his eyes as,

Speaker: yeah, he gets right up close and then again kind of drops to a knee in front of her.

Speaker: Indraconic.

Speaker: The foundations of this keep shape by the way amongst this empowered voice from the last time you spoke to her. As Valkyraeth draws breath, there is a rumble.

Speaker: The pools of bilious green goblin goo reverberate aggressively.

Speaker: And she says,

Speaker: It is done.

Speaker: You have done well, Balcon.

Speaker: How may I repay you?

Speaker: And Baal speaking in draconic. I'll simply say back,

Speaker: I serve you, Valkyreth.

Speaker: I am so happy that you have returned to your strength, to what is promised.

Speaker: You ask how to repay.

Speaker: We have an impossible task before us.

Speaker: Something that perhaps only yourself and the entirety of Aerith would be able to help with.

Speaker: I'm in no place to ask anything of you. I know that.

Speaker: There is something you can do.

Speaker: And what Barr will do is he will explain as best he can the plan involving getting Wren with a small team up to the Steel Nightmare, breaching through its defenses in the briefest of times to kind of...

Speaker: bring about the end of the steel nightmare and of the hells and ultimately save Aerith, but for the sake of not repeating all that has been said multiple times, that's that's what he'll pass on.

Speaker: There is a moment of contemplation, just a short one.

Speaker: I accept...

Speaker: upon the matter of Shondralika.

Speaker: If we do not hear otherwise, we will assume that this is my duty to perform.

Speaker: I... Please, Nov Halkareth, if this... If it could be done by Shondralakar, if she is willing, I would much rather you remain here and defend what is yours.

Speaker: With your brood. I truly would. If there's no other way.

Speaker: think this is the only other option we have.

Speaker: I have no reason to doubt you, Arbinger.

Speaker: Very well.

Speaker: Chandra Lekar once trusted my mother enough to afford her courtesy after she was killed.

Speaker: Perhaps she may be redeemed again.

Speaker: But know if she is unwilling.

Speaker: I will take your friends into the nightmare.

Speaker: Thank you.

Speaker: Thank you. And he'll drop to his knees.

Speaker: You must not fail on the oceans.

Speaker: I must return. There is work shall be done.

Speaker: I will live to serve you.

Speaker: For all I can. And then she raises higher... Just extends the neck and then towers over you by about 40, maybe 30 feet.

Speaker: Just sort of surveys the keep.

Speaker: Speaks slightly louder in ah in a kind of sleek guardian dialect of draconic. And just wills the rest of the dragon kin to return home.

Speaker: to return to the peaks of the Skil Road Mountains.

Speaker: And

Speaker: with joy and with glee, you turn around and see your relatives, your relations, your your friends of old.

Speaker: begin to make preparations to depart, with a spring in their step.

Speaker: And next,

Speaker: you see Wren leading Syengar to meet Valkyareth as they begin to exchange introductions.

Speaker: You return to your beloved, Tharok, to Alpha.

Speaker: As the sun approaches its zenith,

Speaker: is there anything the four of you wish to do before you leave Goldport slash Snake Run Keep?

Speaker: We could go again. Yeah, this time. be time on the boat as well. That needs christened. Yeah, I've got more duties on that boat, though. Captain and all.

Speaker: What am I, then? Do I get a title? Oh, you will do. like um i ah First mate. First mate. Because when I become Commodore, you can then become Captain.

Speaker: What's an admiral? what I've heard that word before. Is that that a good one? Admiral's a thing. You'd be admiral, but I don't know if an admiral comes before captain. I always come before the captain. I know this.

Speaker: Well, shit. Do I get a uniform?

Speaker: If you'd like. Yeah, or a uniform.

Speaker: um um ah but I mean, like, we we haven't got a lot of time for me to secure this now, but I'm pretty sure somewhere... afterwards after Yeah, after yeah, okay, okay, okay.

Speaker: You should have a uniform. Maybe I'll wear whatever you want.

Speaker: I won't be sorry to see the end of this shit, Keith, that's for sure. I'm looking forward to better lodgings.

Speaker: I...

Speaker: I

Speaker: think it's time to go kill Euron, Cardinal.

Speaker: For what it's worth, I'm glad you're with us, Tharic. For what it's worth, pal, I'm glad I'm with you too.

Speaker: Oh shit, can Alpha fly? but i a I can, because I've got a cape. I know you can. I know i can.

Speaker: This is going to be, well, terrifying and all the above, but I think it's going to be a fucking epic.

Speaker: Yeah, it's going to be ah a next adventure. And spent a lot of money on those cannons and we're now going to get to use them. That's exciting.

Speaker: Fuck yes, it is. You're the quartermaster, right? D'Arc? Sounds good to me. You man the cannons. You tell when we enter battle, you take charge. Point of reference.

Speaker: Lead us to victory. Fuck some shit up. i like Fuck some shit up. Yes. And what is my role on the ship? Says Alpha.

Speaker: Golly shit. oh Alpha, you gotta be careful. You can't just wheel up to me and just talk. I need to know you're around. ah Your role is to, as always, help us move us along. We we move far quicker when you're able to manipulate the gusts.

Speaker: Can you do that? Like you do. i like Like a navigator. I'm not able to do that any anymore. now right Get a big fan or something and just start kind of wafting it.

Speaker: or Or you could repair the ship. can Are you good with wood? I'll see what I can do. well You've got a cannon as well, don't you? Somewhere. When I choose to use it.

Speaker: You could be Roger the Cannon Boy. Roger the Cannon Boy. heard that's a thing. Is that a thing?

Speaker: Maybe not.

Speaker: Oh, you want an actual title as well, Alpha? Yes, give him a title. i could give him a title. ah So we've got the first mate. We've got the deckhand. Deckhand?

Speaker: Yeah. Is that a noble profession? I just feel like... it Is it noble? ah It's important. Like all the, all the roles here are important. Yeah.

Speaker: Alpha's got the deck in his hand. I mean, Nick's as the captain. I'm the, I can't remember it was. mean, lot ships have carpenters.

Speaker: I'm sure I'll fit in. Okay. How about this then? Right. We've got the quartermaster. We've got the first mate. We've got the captain, Savvy. You can be the master gunner. So when we get into battle, you follow Tharok's lead because he's the quartermaster.

Speaker: Okay. Man the guns because Tharok's really good, but he wouldn't be to man all these guns and he'll need some help in order to... yeah To direct about the fire rate. I mean, if you just point them all in the same direction and I blast a line of fire across all of the fuses, we could blow them all at once, couldn't we? Oh my God.

Speaker: There are quite heavy, those cannons, but I'm quietly confident I'm strong enough to move them around the deck in a pinch. Well, shit. What is it Nix used to say? Avast motherfuckers.

Speaker: vast motherfuckers. Yeah. Nick still says that though, because I'm still very much here, Alpha. But yeah, I like it. I like where we're at. Oh, yeah. Or show. You've got some thinking to do on the way.

Speaker: And Farrakh will go into his pouch and he'll take out ah the deed of the severed compass and he will hold it towards Nixon Bar and goes, someone has to give you a wedding present.

Speaker: Fuck off. This is the best word of play ever. Seriously. I got it. Don't worry. Thank you very much. Thank you. As Nyx takes it and holds it to his chest. Probably need a new name, Noel.

Speaker: He'll say as he smiles and then start gathering stuff up. We should leave soon. so Thank you, Tharok. Oh, shit.

Speaker: No, do I? Do I? Is it too on the nose? I feel like it's too on the nose, but it's pretty cool. It's a good name. Well, then what are we thinking? Of the Esmeralda? But, but, but, that ship sunk.

Speaker: And that's part of my past. We need something for the future. The Severed Compass is pretty good. It is pretty good. it's there's ah There's a freedom to it.

Speaker: In fact, now, let's keep it as the Severed Compass.

Speaker: And as you begin to kind of walk and talk and new you head northward out of Goldport Keep slash Snake Run Keep towards the Goldview Coast, each step you take getting brinier and saltier, the breeze getting cooler, you think about your new wedding present.

Speaker: and discuss names on the road.

Speaker: You get maybe an hour, maybe two, away from Goldport slash Snake Run Keep.

Speaker: And there is a rider

Speaker: galloping towards you from the direction of Goldview. It's just the four of you.

Speaker: They're moving at some speed.

Speaker: This is an isolated road. You haven't joined a made road yet. This is kind of, for want of better terms, a dirt track, if you will, off a main road that just leads to Goldport Keep.

Speaker: Do you make space for the rider to pass? Do you attempt to halt the rider? What do you do?

Speaker: How far away are they roughly? They're moving at some pace, but right now about 100 feet. A few seconds ago, they were 120 feet away from you. Okay. Do we know the colors?

Speaker: From this distance? No. that It's too far to kind of make out any...

Speaker: Yeah, I think bob would move out of the way and keep a cautious eye. Oh yeah, no, I'm moving the fuck out the way. Yeah, absolutely. Kind of hands twitching, ready to go.

Speaker: The distance closes to 80 feet, to 60, to 40, to 20. It would be hilarious to throw a stick out in front, but we're not going to do that.

Speaker: We're not going to do that, right, Bar? We're not going to There's a stick right there. I'm just saying. I'm not doing it. I'm turning over a new lead. No chaos after wedding. Bar just call out Ryder.

Speaker: Oh. that And as you say that when you're within about 20 feet of this individual, Vigage turns its head towards you but doesn't break its speed.

Speaker: Makes eye contact with you.

Speaker: Chooses to ignore you. and rides steadily in the direction of Goldport Keep at a complete gallop. Behind the individual, about 20 feet, is this spectral hawk that's coming in and out of view, attempting to keep up with the rider, and just about succeeding.

Speaker: Do I recognise the face having kind of locked up? It was covered. You didn't get... ah ah You could make an insight check, but at disadvantage. It was fast and covered.

Speaker: Insight check is pretty good. Disadvantage, not as good. Gonna roll it anyway. You have guidance. 14.

Speaker: Without guidance. You got guidance. Will you allow guidance?

Speaker: Just in case you choose to say yes, the answer is a 4 on guidance. 18, 14 if not. fourteen if not

Speaker: You don't recognise this individual. Well, that was fucking rude. Yeah. Herbie's on our side. Yeah. yeah Didn't even say, like, happy wedding day.

Speaker: Not that he would know, but I just feel like... no Well, it's an important event. Do we warn anyone? Do we just clock off? Ah, people be riding these roads all the time. He's just got somewhere to be.

Speaker: Maybe he's got to deliver a parcel. Maybe he's got to deliver a cake.

Speaker: ah We can't really clip-clop. Do we plod-plod? That sounds shit. That that sounds... don't know that. No.

Speaker: Well, fuck it. we can do that. No. Next time, maybe the stick thing. Maybe. Have you ever seen a horse just fall on its arse with the rider going over the top? Because I tell you, it's such a delight.

Speaker: Yeah, it probably hurts the horse. doesn't sound... Breaks the face. Yeah.

Speaker: And you turn and continue to have your banter

Speaker: as the road moves with you as you continue towards the coast.

Speaker: We zoom out from your position.

Speaker: We briefly zoom over to the east now.

Speaker: where the hell group have traveled through the night

Speaker: and have crossed into the border of Dralak.

Speaker: And Snake Run is on the horizon.

Speaker: And then we zoom out one final time

Speaker: to the scene at Goldport Keep slash Snake Run Keep.

Speaker: Waves of dragonborn leaving by the north heading back to their ancestral home. A small gathering remains in Goldport slash Snake Run Keep.

Speaker: As the watchful eye

Speaker: of an ancient gold dragon.

Speaker: A rider arrives,

Speaker: dismounts from his horse. The hawk flying behind him continues and perches affectionately on the shoulder of Wren.

Speaker: Wren turns

Speaker: sees the rider

Speaker: and sprints to embrace her brother.

Speaker: And as the embrace ends, the podcast version of a camera lens just pans up from the top of Wren's head to reveal the face of Robin

Speaker: And that is where we're going to end this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop, Belem Draconis. Hell yeah.

Speaker: Hell yeah!

Speaker: I feel like it's that meme we've all left and then Robin just turns just looking around like where is everybody? yeah Did I miss anything? yeah Perfect. Will 100% I forgot you were here.

Speaker: ah I didn't because Will you did such a great job in this episode officiating that impromptu wedding some beautiful words.

Speaker: um Again, that was awesome. Keep in touch. You know where to find us. We are the Fellowship Tabletop. Farewell.
