Speaker: Take, you have a team of 23, you bid on a bunch of players within that 23. And I don't know how the first round is going to work. I think it's whoever bids the highest. So if, you know, I've bid on, I'm not going to fucking hide it. I've bid on Ellis Genj. And if someone else has bid on Ellis Genj and they bid higher, they get him. But if we bid the same amount, then Genji goes back into the pool for round two and the bidding resumes.
Speaker: That's my understanding of it. So we will see. It's gonna be interesting to see who exactly, because we've never done this before. I don't know if this is brand new this year. I don't know if this has been done before. Yeah, it'll be interesting. Yeah, so it'll be interesting to see how this goes and you'll ride this with us. Yeah, so I'm still putting in my bids. I'm interested in seeing what exactly constitutes like an overbid.
Speaker: And, and what, um, what's like an underbid, like there's some guys who have said, you know what, I'm just going to put in for them at their cost and see if I get them because maybe I think they're a sleeper or someone who might not attract attention in the first round. Yeah. There's definitely some guys that went cheap on and like, all right, bang on. That's what I'm going for. Right. Cause it's also like, if I don't get them, I'm not going to cry. I'll find someone else. Right. And that's the thing like.
Speaker: you also have to leave enough in your budget to grab something worth a damn too. So it's really it's a hell of a balance. This is this is very different than the one I thought we were going to be working with, which was
Speaker: or somewhat to what I thought we'd be working with, which would been like the ESPN NFL fantasy auction, which I've done once or twice, and it's a different game completely in so many ways. And in that one, I haven't done it, but my understanding there is that you put up a group of players, and everybody can bid, or at least one player, and people can bid on them. In this case, it's, nope, free for all, and then we'll see what happens. Totally.

So, yeah, in that one, you nominate a player and then you are, you know, and the one of the strategies for that one is, you know, basically when I did it, I nominated players I didn't fucking want. It's like, don't want this guy here. So I'm gonna take him, get him out of my way. So I don't have the temptation to grab him.

Speaker: Yeah, I'm fairly top heavy on some teams that are going to be on buy in the future. Oh yeah, that's true. That's true. I have a few salaries. I have like four salaries and five quins. So I'm going to have to be intelligent in the next month or two. Yeah, I have to start off loading some quins because I have too many. And I'm going to be so screwed in a couple of weeks when they go on by. But the good part is after that,
Speaker: You know, getting rid of like, cause your saris and your Quinn's are going to be some of the higher scoring players, depending on, I mean, you know, borrow a toji and, and Dom Brandon's for so well, um, correct this weekend, but I think he's going to score that well this weekend. So right. Um, but then you got to get rid of him anyway. So yes, you will have to at some point.
Speaker: You can sort this by team as well. Yes. And that's probably the faster way to find the guy you want because otherwise you'd be freaking scrolling forever. Getting there. I believe in you. Yeah.

Speaker: Let's do this. So I'm already fully, I mean, I guess, no, because that's the problem. There's multiple rounds. There's multiple rounds. So me telling me saying, hey, this is what I'm looking at, me asking you who you're looking at is not quite helpful. This is going to work unless you land with all the guys you wanted at that position. So I'm very interested in, again, my guys who I overbid on, I think, seeing if I get them.
Speaker: I'm fairly certain I overbid on a couple of people, but we'll find out if it was worth it or not. I way overbid on at least one of my forwards. I way overbid on one.
Speaker: I think people are going to be shocked at how much I overbid on another, but I think it still may work out well for me. Everybody's got their favorites, so sometimes you don't need to overbid, but your favorite may also be like 10 other people's favorites.
