SuperCoach 2026 — Team Reveal #3 (Ryan’s “Spend Big Everywhere” Build)

Ryan's team reveal #3 is live, and he's gone with a strategy that’s either elite… or criminal.

The plan: spend big in almost every position so I’ve got maximum flexibility when the price changes hit. I don’t want to be trapped holding mid-rangers — I want options.

The big swing? I’ve gone super cheap at halfback because I’m backing Atkinson + Saunders to make at least $200K each. If they do their job, I can upgrade hard later without burning trades.

Then there’s the spicy part: I’ve gone massive at CTW because:

  • CTW is where seasons get cooked (weekly 25s are a disease)
  • I’d rather start with guns and downgrade later than chase my tail

And here’s the chess move: if Tom Chester holds his spot by Round 3 (with Laybutt suspended), I can downgrade my “worst” gun CTW… and turn that cash into a premium halfback upgrade — we’re talking a $400–$500K swing.

We break down the full squad, the logic behind the picks, and the upgrade paths.

Cap or Fact: spending up early is the safest way to stay flexible when the bubble boys pop. 👇
Be honest — is this team any good? What should I change?

🤖 ChatGPT Brutal Rating:

Rating: 7.6/10good bones, but one tweak away from being cooked.

  • Halfback cheapies: love the cash-gen plan… but if Atkinson/Saunders don’t hit, you’re eating two donuts and a sideways trade.
  • CTW loaded: smart because CTW is pain… but you’ve left yourself basically zero room for a forced premium elsewhere.
  • Chester upgrade path: elite if he’s named… but if he’s not, your “400–500k swing” becomes “400–500k cope.”

Drop your fixes in the comments — and tell me the one player I’m missing that’s a must-have.

Speaker
Tackles and Tinners listeners, welcome back to the show. Today we are doing Supercoach, but before we talk Supercoach, Gold Coast Titans, baby. Gold Coast bloody Titans. Today is February the 22nd. Last night on the 21st, Gold Coast Titans versus Melbourne Storm in their second preseason game.
00:00:23
Speaker
Titans were like $4 odds to win that game, but guess what, baby? Josh Hannae. Tino Fusil Malawi, the new spine, all the boys, that they're turning up for each other.
00:00:34
Speaker
Everyone on the park delivered the goods. Should have arguably won the preseason challenge cup. But tell you what, they didn't want to throw away the offloads. They stuck to the game plan. They don't need that extra accolade because the Titans know they're making the top eight.
00:00:49
Speaker
As the meme goes from the office, I am ready to be hurt again, guys. I'm ready to be hurt. The Gold Coast Titans, there's actually hope. There's a glimmer of top eight around all of this. Keeney, Brimo, JC in the spine. Sam Vales is looking confident.
00:01:07
Speaker
Young Guns coming through, i believe. I believe, Josh Hanna. I'm i all in for this year. Enough Titans chat with the Supercoach. Again, this is my second to last team reveal next week. Just before the season starts, I'm going to my final team reveal. I'm pretty confident most of these players are going to stay as is However, if there is changes, i definitely want to go over it again. And obviously we're going to look at reserves, captaincies, and the Vegas games change a little bit as well because the week after will actually be the official round one.
00:01:39
Speaker
Next week is round zero with Vegas. So again, when round one officially starts, I'll do one more team reveal just in case there's a couple injuries here and there. maybe we'll get the boys on to give me some critiques. But regardless, guys, want to hear from you guys in the comments. How will my team shape up for round one? I've got a bit of an interesting strategy. For those who don't remember from last year, I got the top 1%. I was like 835 in all of Australia. Yeah. Adam, number three in Australia, gave me one good piece of advice and that was to get Walsh in and that pivotal huge run just before he started popping off.
00:02:16
Speaker
I ran that all the way home and I climbed up the rankings. So let's see if my new team with a new strategy comes to fruition. So let's share my screen. And for the people who are watching or listening on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, I suggest you jump onto YouTube.
00:02:35
Speaker
But as you guys can see, i have $0 left in the cap. I've used every single dollar. And I think that's really important as well to use everything.
00:02:46
Speaker
I've spent big in pretty much every single position. Reason being is so if there is a gun or a similar elk player who needs to be put in, I have the cash in that position to make an easy switch or a lateral side trade. I think that's very important. And as you guys can see on the screen, very first up,
00:03:05
Speaker
I've got Harry Grant. I think that's the number one hooker. Didn't look amazing last night, but he definitely looked like he wanted to run the ball a lot more. No Pappenhausen, so he's taken away a little bit of playmaking. Obviously, too far, Longo is an absolute gun in regards to running the ball, but I think Harry Grant's going to a little bit more responsibility. He is the captain.
00:03:27
Speaker
They haven't got the depth as they had before, especially now that x Xavier Coates isn't in the team with that Achilles injury. It's going to be very interesting. Obviously, Zachy Lomax could be sniffing for round one or round two, but very interesting note.
00:03:40
Speaker
That is a variable. Harry Grant, however, it's either him or it's Blake Braley. If you haven't got one of them guys in your team, you're doing something wrong. Personally, it's particularly now with the new third man in tackling, I think that's really important. Guys who are defending in the middle, guys who are small like Grant and Braley, They are ah more than happy to get in and get the third man in tackle, which now is an extra point. I think Harry Grant is undervalued for this year, and I think he's a must.
00:04:07
Speaker
Definitely had Blake Braley. Blake Braley? You can't even talk to his name because I always hear the meme, Blake Braley. But yeah, he's definitely another option. I've definitely considered him as well. But I think the value with $40K extra in the bank, I can do more with that, and it'll make more sense shortly.
00:04:23
Speaker
At my backup position, I've got Brandon Smith. I think he is definitely going to make money. Is he a season keeper? No. Reid Marnie's been on my team before. I've had guys like um Jake Simcom's in my team, but I think Brandon Smith has just provides too much value, particularly now with the third man in tackling.
00:04:43
Speaker
He's got all the bickies to play for. This Rabideau's team looks very, very good on paper. Brandon Smith's probably going to get anywhere between 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the day. We'll start a hooker and then maybe play some middle minutes as well, come off the bench with Mamazela's there as well.
00:05:00
Speaker
He'll probably get to like four hundred and fifty k So again, we're two hundred and twenty k extra in value. I think that's pretty good. Pretty similar combination for most people, both very highly owned.
00:05:11
Speaker
Now, as we scroll down in our front row position, Payne Haas, set and forget. Get him in your team, boys and girls. But yeah, Payne Haas, absolute gun. He's going to to out with the Brisbane Broncos with a bang. And I think if you haven't gone to your team, you need to make the money to do so. He's one of those guys who rarely gets injured.
00:05:29
Speaker
Touch wood. ah He's a captaincy option every single week. He's a hard work. He's got the offload. He's got a good running game. Tackles like you never, his life depends on it. In a winning team as well, I think are super important. Paying half, set and forget all year. Let's go.
00:05:46
Speaker
Now I've been tossing up with Keon. and some other guys. Keon's been there, Hopgood's been there, Trey Mooney's been my number two option as well. I've had Tanyela Paseca, I've had Jesse Colquhoun, I've had Wartino as well. Obviously he's gonna get that duel more than likely.
00:06:07
Speaker
Tidens baby, less skull. But I've decided to opt with Keon. Again, good attacking upside that we discussed about in last year's podcast. He went on that huge one when he shifted to the middle. I think Keon has monumental upside, particularly now with all these guns in this Rabideaus team. He's got a good offload. He can jag a try here and there. He's got, yeah...
00:06:29
Speaker
Two absolute guns at the second row. The halves, we'll see how they'll pair out. But i think Keon Kulamatangi is at value, if not slightly undervalued, more than happy to start with him.
00:06:40
Speaker
Also played with Terramay. But Terramay's had the injury with his back, and I think that's a bit of a red flag. I want to see how it goes. In the bio of round one, I think having 810k on the bench in round one is just a waste.
00:06:53
Speaker
It's definitely a waste, guys. you can definitely look to trade him in. I think they'll ease him a little bit back in now with this injury here as well. So maybe Key onto Terrell May could be a feasible option by like round five with the cash generation and or D-Gen.
00:07:07
Speaker
Trey Mooney's pretty much on everyone's team. Dual position. Pretty much going to be the main or one of the main forwards for the Newcastle Knights. I'm not sure how the Knights will go this year.
00:07:18
Speaker
Maybe bottom four. But again, you've got attacking weapons in Dylan Brown. Caelan Ponga and Fletcher Sharp. It's inevitable that they should have some improvement, but it's the forward pack. What will Mooney's minutes be? I think he's ah definitely ah over a one point per minute player. So at a minimum, if he plays 50 to 55 minutes, there's at least $100,000 or 10 points in value there.
00:07:41
Speaker
Definitely like the Trey Mooney shout. And again, bit of flexibility with the dual position. and I don't think anyone's going to take his job. And again, job security is really important. Myles Martin, it could be Ethan Roberts. It's going to be one of the two. Definitely have to do my extra research. I don't think Myles Martin will ever play due to the fact that the Raiders forward packs is so deep. However, he's my nuff. I'm starting with a nuff this year. Last year, I started with Lazarus Vilepu.
00:08:06
Speaker
That sort of burnt me because he was a bit of an AE here and there. Don't want any more AEs at the start in regards to poor scoring numbers. Myles Martin shouldn't be that guy. And again, with dual position flexibility, I think he's really good.
00:08:20
Speaker
And at the end of the day, guys, the past two seasons, I've done really well. However, with three to four rounds to go, I've run out of trades. I've got all these guns on the bench with all this cash. Like Reuben Garrick, for example, was one of those guys last year who I didn't play at the back end of the season. That was 650K. Like, what's the point of having all these guys with this mega team value, which I was preaching all last year had been following on and being loyal subscribers?
00:08:45
Speaker
What's the point? you You need some guys who are dead weight. I know it's early, but you're trying to get as much money as you can into your starting team. And again, it will make a lot of sense now when you actually see my best team on paper.
00:08:59
Speaker
Depth, maybe not the best, but is Cash Gen still going to be there? Myles Martin, out and out enough. But I think my top three guys, they're very happy with them. Keon's got an early season buy. Trey Mooney goes straight and more than happy with that as well.
00:09:14
Speaker
That's my front and row. How are they looking guys? Let me know in the comments. Second row. Pretty similar to a lot of guys. We got Josh Patson, Lasati, Cooper Bar on the bench, are three cheapies. I think that's a lot of people doing very similar strategy. All guys who are projected have decent roles, two of them in Patson and Lasati, definitely projected to be starting with our decent minutes, minimum 60 minutes. So again, if they're like 0.8 cash gen or 0.8 per minute points,
00:09:46
Speaker
you're definitely going to get good cash generation there. Maybe a bit of a slower burn, probably get to around 500k, 550k, maybe 600 if they drag a try here and there. Again, they're both pretty good at attacking teams ah historically. So that could be a ah useful comp.
00:10:01
Speaker
But Cooper Byer is my third cheapie. I don't project him to start. Obviously, Chris Randall's there. He's more of a established player. But Cooper Byer could definitely between play between anywhere between 20 to 50 minutes, depending on the matchup and or situation. Very, very hard worker.
00:10:17
Speaker
Can offload if need be. you Can definitely jag at attacking a stat. Big body, physical player. Definitely going to make some money. definitely going to be a slower burn though got to take them consideration could buy slower burn definitely happen with those three cheapies and my fourth cheapies coming out of nowhere is jacob labham so for the guys who've been listening to the podcast and the the long form videos of the 2025 review slash 2026 team previews for all the single teams there's one to go or two to go melbourne storm will be getting released either today or tomorrow
00:10:52
Speaker
And the Brisbane Broncos will be getting either filmed today or tomorrow. So that you should get hot there shouldd have them by the start of the season. But Jacob Blayman, back to the yeah long form section there.
00:11:05
Speaker
He's signed until like 2028 2029. Clear indicator that the Warriors have a lot of faith in him. And I'm not surprised, or actually am a little bit surprised he is starting or projected to start. That's come out of nowhere. So I've got four cheapy second rollers, but if Labrum is playing 60 to 65 minutes or even 50 to 55 minutes, there's cash to be made there. And again, he's a big barnstorming athletic second roller.
00:11:34
Speaker
in a high octane Warriors unit, I definitely project him to make some money. Not a season keeper, but I don't think any of those four boys who are on the bench are. My two big dogs, next up is Dave Fafida.
00:11:48
Speaker
Most guys have him. He's definitely undervalued if... He is healthy again. Gold Coast Titans hat was not healthy for the past two years. Ankle surgery galore last year, but a 485k, potential 80-minute roll, done left-hand side attack with Cody Walker, Fafida, Latrell, AJ.
00:12:08
Speaker
Is this too much upside? There's way too much upside. I'm happy to take the risk. I can definitely flex to another position if need be. But yeah, Dave Fafita, lock and load. I'm expecting big things from him.
00:12:19
Speaker
Origin, Queensland, come back Davey Dave. And another guy sort of ah benefited from the new... Rule changes or scoring changes for the Supercoach season 2026 is Isaiah Yeo. Again, the tri-contributions may be slightly worsened. However, in regards to third man in tackling, I think he's going to benefit significantly. Again, close to an 80-minute play, if not an 80-minute player on most weeks. That's $610,000. I think he's at value, if not slightly under. I project him to be around seven hundred k at some point during the season, if not slightly higher. Very good points per minute player.
00:13:01
Speaker
High energy, good defense. He never misses tackles, never knocks it on. Super reliable, hence why he's the captain of the Penrith Panthers. Second row, guys, let me know in the comments. Would you do something different?
00:13:13
Speaker
Is Jacob Laban in your team? Am I risking little bit too much? Should Lasati start over Laban? Let me know in the comments. If Lasati starts in Jerome, he's a side. I'm definitely more keen for that.
00:13:26
Speaker
that will be a wait and see sort of at halfback. I have changed my strategy and that's why I'm filming this video because Jaden Campbell has been at halfback for majority of my teams. However, I've changed my strategy ever so slightly and it will make sense very shortly. But with Daniel Atkinson and Ethan Sanders,
00:13:45
Speaker
out and out being the starting halfbacks with job security minimum for at least i'd say round eight to ten there's cash generation to be made will it be a slow burn yes are they going to be so okay worthy probably not however could they get to 400 to 600 000 definitely is there money to be made definitely they are a stepping stone to the next guy in my eyes along with those other cheapy second rowers But when you get to the bottom half of my team, you can probably see where the cash is going to be going.
00:14:17
Speaker
But i think Daniel Atkinson definitely starting halfback for the foreseeable future. like the way he runs the ball. I think he's going to be, again, he's named a halfback, but he's definitely more of a 5A to my eyes with Kyle Flanagan running the ship.
00:14:32
Speaker
But I think the Dragon should be slightly better. Their forward pack should be slightly the better. Ethan Sanders, haven't seen too much of him. I was hoping he was going to play in the trials, but he didn't, which is very frustrating. But I know he's goal kicking.
00:14:44
Speaker
that That's a bit of an incentive there as well to put him in. Raiders high octane attack. 46K again, slow burn. I think job security is going to be there. I don't think they're going to ah parachute Kobe Black in straight away. i think they're going to give Sanders at least a round eight to round 10 to establish himself. If he doesn't do that by then, i think Kobe Black then gets a chance. But again, Ethan Sanders goes up to 450K to Downgraded Kobe Black, an extra 250K in the bank.
00:15:12
Speaker
And then potentially if Atkinson is still on the team, Atkinson might be up to 400, 500K, add another $200,000 from Ethan Sanders. Then you're up to $700,000. Then you're in that ah Adam Dewey potentially might've got a price rise. You may might be Jaden Campbell, Nico Hines, Nathan Cleary.
00:15:29
Speaker
Again, that's the logic. Price rise, price rise, downgrade, downgrade. It makes sense in my eyes. But now the big dogs are coming out. 5'8", AJ Brimson.
00:15:41
Speaker
I love what I saw last night. That's all I need to see. I didn't want JC and Brimo in the same team, along with another guy at the fullback position, which had you guys can probably imagine who that is. But what I saw from AJ Brimson last night, particularly with both Furmore running off his hip, my God.
00:16:00
Speaker
AJ Brimson, take your hat off my son. You looked very, very good. At 649k, he's definitely at value, if not slightly above. However, the attacking upside of this Gold Coast Titans team going off last night's trial against a pretty healthy Melbourne Storm team, might I add. He looked very, very good.
00:16:19
Speaker
He took a lot of the attacking stats away from Jaden Campbell, which gave me a bit of a pause. Will he lose a bit of value? Potentially. I've had other guys in there such as Jackson Perdue. I've had Cody Walker. Maybe Dylan Brown potentially gets a shout in there if he or when he gets that dual position.
00:16:38
Speaker
If Dylan Brown gets in that position, I will have an extra 130K and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. so I'm more than happy to give AJ Brimson three rounds and I can make the shift down if Brimson's going to lose too much value and if ah there's a 200k swing, essentially. I don't think you trade for 100k.
00:16:57
Speaker
However, if Brimson loses some value and Dylan Brown gets the dual position and then gets... Some price rise there. I'm more than happy to make that downgrade. But again, it's going to be hard to go up, not down.
00:17:10
Speaker
Hence the Brimson logic there. Again, looked very good last night. Always a try scoring threat. Loves running the ball for line breaks. Always good for a try assist. Very good at the little short kick. Not a very good long kicker, but very good short kicker.
00:17:23
Speaker
um AJ Brimson, very smoky and bit of a pod. I think that's important too. A lot of these guys are highly owned. So having some differentiation within your team is very important. And guys like AJ Brimson, very pod-like.
00:17:37
Speaker
Again, always can downgrade. Pezzet, pretty much in everyone's team. have to talk about him too much. Didn't look too red hot in that Parramatta Eels team. Again, I think he's a halfback playing at 5'8". And with Mitchell Moses at the helm, it's going to take some time for him to adjust his game, in my eyes.
00:17:54
Speaker
Is he going to make money? Yeah. Is it going to be a slow burn? Yeah. Ideally, I'm not going have to start him too often, but in a pinch, if I have to, I have to... Is he a season keeper?
00:18:05
Speaker
Probably not. But 5'8 is pretty desolate, to be honest. So, again, if I get some good cash generation, I might be able to get Brimson and um Dylan Brown, assuming he gets that dual position. Because, again, i believe the coach has said ah Dylan Brown and Sandor Smith will be the halves combination for round one.
00:18:24
Speaker
So that's a big thing to consider as well. I only have to make up 300K. Very easily could downgrade another guy that I've got coming up. What do you think of my halves, guys? Atkinson, Sanders, double cheapy, peasant cheapy, gun, premium player in Brimson at 650K. Is my logic sound with the downgrade? Let me know in the comments. Now, the big dogs are out.
00:18:46
Speaker
Let them feast. Okay. We have cheapies, Makassini. Guys, if you didn't watch the Tigers versus Panthers game, do yourself a favor. There was a bit of concern regarding Makassini. Lalihi was starting there in trial number one. Makassini was at center. Was Makassini going start on the wing? I think...
00:19:04
Speaker
My God, he played so good in the wing. He has to be there. And being outside Taylan May and Jerome Luai, he's going to get plenty of good ball and plenty of good attacking stats, and especially on the left-hand side, which is generally the better passing side for most playmakers. Makasini, gun, he's going to be um making good cast generation. Will not be playing round one due to the buy.
00:19:25
Speaker
Faye Marnie for the Gold Coast Titans, nagged a try last night. Brian Toto, Timu version at $201,000, bottom dollar cheapie. Yeah, I think he's a must. I think his job security is pretty good, at least for the foreseeable future.
00:19:39
Speaker
He provides a different body. For the Gold Coast Titans supporters out there, you can always vouch for me. We've had the same bloody body type in the outside backs for so many years. For Marnie, provides that different shape.
00:19:52
Speaker
Just a stockier little nugget. When we had Greg Marzzi for like one year when he was like 22 years old. He's a Greg Marzu. He's a Brian Toto-like player. I think we need that in our outside backs, and we've got him.
00:20:04
Speaker
Again, he's come from the Penrith Panthers system. Good habits are there, obviously, so very happy with him at the center wing position and Gold Coast Titans. Let's freaking go. Setu 2, another bottom dollar cheap here at $201,000.
00:20:18
Speaker
I think he's a must. I think he's a must. He's going to be outside Moses Suli. Suli is a very good draw and pass type player. I don't like putting bad players in the team and... I just think he's just cheap. He's cheap. He's going to make money. Some weeks he might get 20. Some weeks you might get 100 he gets that trick.
00:20:35
Speaker
So again, slow burn potentially, but he will make money. Job security looks pretty good. Fale looks like he's going to be a center-based option. Obviously, Valentine Holmes having that hamstring injury. And as you can say see on my screen right now, Valentine Holmes is in my team.
00:20:53
Speaker
goal kicking. He's got Christian Tupolotu, the money man. Okay. After last year, we saw for money man and Val Holmes dynamic combination. Val Holmes still very, very good.
00:21:05
Speaker
The coach Flanagan reckons he's going to be fine for round one. It is Vegas. Fields are slightly tighter. I am a little bit concerned. Um, But again, bit potty. I like the pods. Definitely could get another guy in cooler into my team. Could even get a Jackson Perdue and get $200,000 extra. Something I've definitely considered.
00:21:26
Speaker
But we'll see. It could even get a Kale Eero. What are your thoughts on Valentine Holmes, guys? He's definitely not completely locked in, but again, I've used all my cash.
00:21:36
Speaker
Okay. At least I can downgrade. I can downgrade. Karaz, same boat, but I like the idea of having the centers and you've obviously got a theme with my top guns here. Shibasaki, gun.
00:21:48
Speaker
absolute done, had him pretty much all of last year, unsung hero for the Brisbane Broncos from last year. If you didn't watch the World Club Challenge, my God, Shibasaki almost got a hat trick, almost won in the game.
00:22:00
Speaker
But that left edge for the Brisbane Broncos, having someone in that Broncos back line, I think is really important as well. Good team, premiership winning player, origin player, Australian level player, Hard worker, good draw and pass, athletic finisher on his outside in Karapane. I think that's also important as well, having a good finish outside you.
00:22:20
Speaker
And Ezra Mann, obviously giving him good ball as well. I think Shibasaki's very good pod play. Stephen Crichton, Matt Burden probably won't be goal kicking. Stephen Crichton might also be sweeping at the back as a fullback as well. I've been high Stephen Crichton for majority of the offseason. I've done many short form videos, even the dogs long form video review. I've been glazing Stephen Crichton. I think he's an A1B with Herbie Farmworth.
00:22:46
Speaker
um If he's goal kicking, he's like 75 points of value. So he's 15 points of value. Very good cash generation to be made. He's not the best super coach player, but I think now with Lachlan Galvin at the helm as well with another year of preseason there, I think he actually might help him slightly. Let me know in the comments. What are your thoughts since Stephen Crichton?
00:23:05
Speaker
Obviously, you know what I feel about him. I think he's absolute gun. Is he worth starting in a super coach team, particularly if he's goal kicking? me know in the comments. And another guy who's highly owned, another expensive center wing.
00:23:17
Speaker
I told you guys, was spending out the money here. All centers, might I add. Again, for those who don't know the strat, I reckon the center position now in super coach is more valuable than the winger.
00:23:28
Speaker
Reason being, Let's say for the Dolphins. Okay. You've got Hamiso doing a sweet play around the back. He creates the overlap. It's three on two.
00:23:38
Speaker
And then if he passed to Herbie Farmworth and then Farmworth passed to Bostock and Bostock's still in the corner. normally the try assist would go to Hamiso because he was the one who had the most involvement creating the space to get the try. Now, however, Super Coach has changed it to essentially the person passing the ball last. In turn, meaning guys like Shibasaki, guys like Valentine Holmes, guys like Critter, Latrell, Herbie, all these guys doing the sweet play at the back, getting the pass to then do the two-on-one pass, potentially getting a line break assist, potentially getting a try assist, it's like a 20-point swing.
00:24:15
Speaker
So I think having done centers is so important. Latrell Mitchell also goal kicks. I am extremely aware that he's injury prone, but I'd rather start with him and do a lateral trade to like a cooler.
00:24:29
Speaker
I've had been very high on cooler. I've had Robert Toyer in my team as well. I've had Isaac Targo. I've had Casey McLean. I've had Kale Ero. Obviously, Kale Ero and Casey McLean are a little bit too expensive for Latrell. However, could definitely downgrade Bell Holmes and Do a bit of swig in there. But again, we don't have to worry about that at moment. I think Latrell Mitchell is due for a bounce back season. If he is healthy, big if he's healthy, he'll be a gun.
00:24:55
Speaker
Absolute gun. Again, goal kicking and the centers. AJ, he's going to be getting the try scoring record ah very soon. More than confident in Latrell Mitchell. Morgan, you're welcome.
00:25:06
Speaker
Now, fullback position. We got Walshie. We're spending big. We're going Walsh. Okay. I haven't had Walsh most of the off season. I've run a Keeney, Suofar, Longo, a combination for a very, very, very long time. I've also had Turbo in there at some stages. I've had Tedesco in there at some stages. I'm more off Tedesco now.
00:25:28
Speaker
I'm definitely off Tedesco to at least start the season. Obviously, Supercoach Gunn, proven commodity, but I want to see more sample size of the Sam Walker, Daily Cherry Evans, Tedesco combination.
00:25:42
Speaker
I think that's really important to wait and see. I think Tedesco loses money. Does Walsh lose money? I'm not sure. I'm not sure. That World Club Challenge...
00:25:54
Speaker
He didn't play overly well. Like he wasn't doing those 150 scores. But if you went through the stats, he got like two try assists, almost got a 20-40, couple of line breaks, couple of line breaks, just tackle bus galore, always looking for the pill.
00:26:08
Speaker
And he probably got around 80 to 90 points. So he's at value for a game that he was pretty mediocre in. And the Broncos didn't get much ball due to the fact that Hull KR kept scoring.
00:26:19
Speaker
So possession as well, lacking opportunity in two degrees temperature, traveling overseas, all these variables that were stacked against the Broncos and Walsh is still popped off with 80 to 90 points.
00:26:33
Speaker
Again, Reynolds watch is obviously a key indicator, but I'd rather start with Walsh and downgrade to another guy. So far, Longo pops off, for example, and Walsh, he loses some money. Happy to downgrade. Trey Fuller has also been on my team, but I'm hearing Trey Fuller is definitely not going to be starting.
00:26:49
Speaker
But yeah, happy to downgrade to a turbo if he pops off. Happy to downgrade to a so far long go or a dry gray if they start popping off. I'd rather have the cash at fullback and then trying to find it somewhere else. There's a common theme here. The halfback position is obviously scary because they've gone double cheapy there. But the money is in other positions where I could easily downgrade to get another guy in. At the center position, for example, Tom Chester.
00:27:13
Speaker
He's not there. I could go Valentine Holmes if he doesn't do well in Vegas and then doesn't do well the pers preceding week. That's two wait two weeks gone. Zach Laybutt then suspension is done. Zach Laybutt's named.
00:27:28
Speaker
You avoid Chester. It's all good. However, if Chester maintains a spot in round three and he's got a bit of a price rise coming in, Val Holmes lost some money. Easy change. Easy change. You can see where my brain's gone.
00:27:40
Speaker
The money is there in the top positions. I can downgrade Valentine Homes to Tom Chester. All a sudden, I got $500,000, guys. $500,000 goes straight into ah the halfback position, which gives me Jaden Campbell.
00:27:57
Speaker
It gives me a Nico Hines. I'm happy. I'm cheering. Easy solution. Val Homes is there as a cash holder. downgrade if need be.
00:28:08
Speaker
obviously got Setu 2, so I've got another guy there. Tommy Chester comes in, 500K goes up, easy switch. Even an Adam Dewey, drop down to like an Isaac Togo, probably get one price rise or two out of the the cheapies, easy switch, Adam Dewey's in.
00:28:24
Speaker
Again, they've got the buy, so the price rise doesn't change Adam Dewey either. Guys, the strategy's there. There's reason I'm in the top 1%. That's why you listen to Tackles and Tinnies. yeah Keanu Keeney, the last fullback on my team at 495k. I've seen enough.
00:28:39
Speaker
I've seen enough. New Zealand popped off last night, popped off. Hard worker, gets the runs, going to be supporting AJ Brimson. Don't like the idea of having Brimson, Keeney and Jaden Campbell, even though they're all guns. Need a bit of diversification, obviously. Keeney's definitely going to make some money.
00:28:55
Speaker
I'm very confident in that. Hard worker, Brimson. going to be shocked at all. Okay, he's going to very, very good for the Gold Coast Titans. Top eight Gold Coast Titans because Keanu Keeney is back.
00:29:07
Speaker
Now, where does my flex position go? I've gone many different directions here, guys. I've gone Tina. I've gone Patrick Carrigan. I have gone guys like Nathan Cleary. I've had Tedesco there.
00:29:21
Speaker
It's Herbie Farnworth. Who are we kidding? I drafted him second overall, guys, in our local league cash comp draft. I was stupid enough to pick him in. He's a gun. I just gave you the example of why centers are so valuable. At 825k, God, he's expensive.
00:29:36
Speaker
He's very expensive. He's the longest expensive as Walsh at center position. But I picked Herbie Farnworth number two over Walsh. I'm so high on Herbie Farnworth. I think he's won a best center in the game.
00:29:48
Speaker
And that Dolphins attack with Katoa, Nikarima, hammer out the back, creating space for Herbie. Herbie in contact either rolls over someone or passes to Cobbo in the wing.
00:30:00
Speaker
And Cobbo scores nine times out of 10. Toby Farmworth, get him in your team. He's a gun. I'm happy. What do you think of my team, guys? Let's quickly go through it again.
00:30:12
Speaker
Say it again. Zero dollars left. Actual zero dollars left. Hooker, I've got Brandon Smith. At front row, I've got Payne Haas, Keon Kulamatangi, Trey Mooney, and my Nuff and Myles Martin, because that could be easily be Ethan Roberts, but my three front rows there. Very happy.
00:30:30
Speaker
At second row, I've got Isaiah Yeo, Fafita, Labem, Patson, Lasati, Bai. Again, I've gone four cheapy second rows. what are your thoughts on that? Bit risky potentially, but I think there's a lot of value there.
00:30:44
Speaker
Labem, Lukey. Labem is $100,000 cheaper. okay I'm getting guys in quite that premium center position because of that downgrade. This is the biggest controversy. And again, I want you guys to let me know in the comments.
00:30:57
Speaker
Atkinson, Sanders, double cheapy, having pretty much done all offseason. But you know my strategy. I can flex up to Dewey quite easily. I can even, if especially if Tom Chester holds his spot in round three, i can easily get up to a ah Nico Hines or I can get up to a Jaden Campbell if need be.
00:31:14
Speaker
Probably won't go Campbell because I've got Brimson at this stage. But let me know. At 5'8", Brimo, sore enough from last night. Again, he's premium, definitely premium, but again, more than happy to start with him. I thought he's very, very good.
00:31:29
Speaker
Smokey, Luai, Chatterfluai pops off first two rounds, could downgrade again. The cash is there to swap them out. I'd rather have a double shot at the double cheapy halfback where I don't have to trade both in or trade one in if both do really well.
00:31:43
Speaker
I've got the money there. i think I think it's the smartest play. Adam's been talking me out of it, but I think it's actually the right thing to do. Brimson, again, I can downgrade to multiple players. Karen Munster I've been considering, but yeah, not worth.
00:31:57
Speaker
Pezzet, Garn, not really, but he's going to make me some money. Centres, this is where the money's at. Val Holmes, Luttrell, Shibasaki, Krita, all very good. Centres, I think all playing on the left, might I add, all playing left. And I gave you that synopsis before, that majority of playmakers are right-handed, which means their right-to-left pass is their dominant side.
00:32:19
Speaker
Do the math, do the math. ah don't know if Krita's going to go stay on the right-hand side or go left, can't remember, but yeah. Maybe you tell me in the comments. Makassini, Garn, Farmani, maybe slow burn, but drop series is pretty good. Setu 2, same thing.
00:32:35
Speaker
They drag a try or two in the next coming weeks, guys. They're going to make money. Okay, then they're the placeholders. Fullback, got Walshy, go big or go home. Again, he's like one of the rare guys who could get over 100 points every single week. He average 100, honestly.
00:32:52
Speaker
And if he gets the goal kicking back because Renault tears a calf, which is probably inevitable, watch out. I've got him already in my team. Very happy. But he's like 22% owned. Still pod-ish. Pod-ish. Keeney, half the league, bloody own him, but we know why. He's a gun. He plays for my ah beloved goal course, Tadons. Let's go. And our flex position, Herbie Farnworth. I think he's arguably one of the best supercoach players available. Spend up, guys. Get him in your team.
00:33:16
Speaker
But as you see my strategy, highly owned centers, or sorry, very expensive centers who have monumental upside now due to the try assist variation. I've gone big with Walshie.
00:33:28
Speaker
I've gone risky with double cheap halfback and a little bit risky with four cheapy second rowers. And I've gone pretty big in my front row.
00:33:39
Speaker
Okay. Let me know on in the comments, guys, how did I go? Who am i missing? Is there any smoky chat that I should be picking someone else? Have I potentially missed a guy like maybe Dylan Brown? If Dylan Brown gets that dual position confirmed, maybe I need to go double expensive hooker.
00:33:58
Speaker
That's a potential opportunity when Brandon Smith saw a capstone prize. Let me in the comments. How's my strategy looking? Will I keep in the top 1%? I'm aiming for top 500 this, guys. I'm going top 500.
00:34:09
Speaker
Also, guys, what I'm going to do, and I'm going post it in the comments. um I'll put it the top of the description, but I'm going make a Supercoach open league. So I want the fans, i want you guys to join me on NRL Supercoach. i'm going to create a league. I might even chuck up 50 bucks for the winner.
00:34:28
Speaker
I'm going to it. I'm stingy, guys. I am so stingy. Like, if you knew me, I am so stingy. It's like I go out on the weekend, have a beer or two, talking to the boys. Oh, yeah, Sam, Josh, great seeing you guys. um But I bought you guys a sachet ketchup from the Gold Coast Titans game. um That was 30 cents. You might transfer me. Like, that's that's I'm that guy.
00:34:46
Speaker
I'm that guy. So me putting 50 bucks up for my loyal fans, that's saying something. So I'm going to create a league, guys. The code is going to be in description. So please join. Tell your friends. 50 bucks up for grabs. I'll obviously DM that person, whoever wins. If I win, you tell me.
00:35:05
Speaker
Do I get to keep the cash i or do I get to second place? do You let me in the comments. But guys, like, share, subscribe. Tell all your mates. Follow all the platforms. We're on everything. Tackles with the Tinnies is popping off. We're going to one more team review leading up to round one, which is two weeks' time.
00:35:22
Speaker
