00:00:14
Speaker
This week we preview Revolution Brewing's October Deepwood's release. This is episode 169 of The Malting Hour.
00:00:44
Speaker
It's gonna be a big ticket.

Introduction of Hosts

00:00:47
Speaker
Welcome to the Malting Hour. am one of your hosts, Tony Gullick, joined always with Brandon Winninger. And to his right, Matthew Moldenauer. Welcome back, to everybody. Yeah, it's exciting to be back.
00:00:58
Speaker
We did it. We came back. Whistles are blowing. Flags are flying. We have an audience behind us. We're watching TV. We've had a ah studio audience in the past.
00:01:09
Speaker
I know. um But yeah, we've got some folks watching football in the back, which is cool. It makes us feel like a real like a real live experience. Yeah. How are you guys doing? I'm doing great.
00:01:20
Speaker
Matthew?

Matthew's Iceland Adventure

00:01:21
Speaker
Pretty good. Just got back from Iceland. Ooh la la. Last couple days there were really fun. The first couple days weren't? Not as much. Oh.
00:01:31
Speaker
Why? and had a whole week there by myself. That'll do it. You just gotta eat. it wasn't... I didn't plan anything, so the first couple days were... It's kind of the best, though.
00:01:41
Speaker
Well, there was a I walked around the city. Reykjavik is... Only 120,000 people? It's the size of Kenosha. I mean, I could have told you that. So you thought should have felt it right at home.
00:01:52
Speaker
Well, I don't like going back to Kenosha. Touche. You hear that? You hear that, Kenosha? Reykjavik... I like Kenosha....was really fun, but like I walked the entire york city basically in like two days.
00:02:06
Speaker
And I walked up to the northern point to try to see the northern lights, but there were clouds. It was always raining. For a second, I thought you were going to Sorry. Northern Lights.
00:02:20
Speaker
God said not today, motherfucker. We're turning the lights off today. So it was without a plan. I did yoga a lot and walking, but then i saw a couple museums, a couple of the outdoor things.
00:02:35
Speaker
i was like, okay. Okay. Now what? And so I would go read and write in cafes for like two or three hours and then realize I had the entire rest of the day. Yeah. Did you have good food while you were there? um Yeah, but a lot of it I ended up cooking myself.
00:02:55
Speaker
The bread there... was out of this world. Like, ah just local grocery stores, best bread I've had in so long. So first couple days, ago I was just eating bread and they like meat salads.
00:03:11
Speaker
They had ham salad, meat salad. Okay, well, sounds like my kind of place. Ham salad. Ooh. Um... And then I found... just throw a lamb in the salad. You gotta fight the lamb before this happened.
00:03:26
Speaker
ah but My favorite thing i end up having... was this roast beef sandwich that had these crispy onions and a roumoulade and almost this like... you sure you just If you tell me it was fucking Arby's, I will stab you. Are you sure you just didn't go to Kenosha? Arby's arby's Iceland is like elevated.
00:03:46
Speaker
No, it was really good. um And then I tried a lot of different...

Icelandic Beers and Local Experiences

00:03:52
Speaker
And then tried a lot of Icelandic beers, but I guess to no one's surprise, lagers are definitely... Oh, yeah. Draft line, you know, there's like four or five lagers.
00:04:03
Speaker
ah And then they would have like one session IPA. And I almost returned the session IPA being like, I think you gave me another lager. And i was like, nope. You gave me just a really, really, really, really really lightly hopped lager, essentially.
00:04:18
Speaker
ah See... like knowing you or knowing your arsenal of beer, like that would have been a great opportunity to show up with like, I mean, then you would have to check a bag or whatever, but like, that have been great just showing up and like,
00:04:32
Speaker
Hey, work for this brewery. Have you ever heard something called Krampus? And they probably would have lost their minds at Krampus. Well, that was my second trip back to the bookstore, which I'm not going to try to remember.
00:04:45
Speaker
That's also a concert venue at night. The very first night, they had a stout. And i was like, I'll grab a stout. Also, if by the way, if you guys are screaming in the background, The Conjuring is also on. We're just getting hit from all sides.
00:04:59
Speaker
And that was the first time, I found out that beer is super expensive in Iceland. It costs like $23 for a 16-ounce glass of a stout.
00:05:11
Speaker
Wow. And I was like, man, are all beers going to be this expensive? It was the second time I went back and I found out it was a 12% stout. Oh, wow. But it was so thin and just like... Was good?
00:05:22
Speaker
It was. But it it reminded me of like a 7% dry Irish stout. What? Oh, interesting. What's the exchange rate? where like what what's What currency do they use?
00:05:34
Speaker
Is lend kroners, ISK? Okay, so like whether it's then that my question still stands. Do you know what the exchange rate was? My question still stands. So $20 US was about 2,400 kroners. And...
00:05:49
Speaker
and That would be, most places, they would do happy hour and you would get like a pint of a lager for anywhere from 1,200 to 1,400. Okay.
00:06:00
Speaker
And then, typically they were anywhere from like 1,600 to 1,800. So, and I asked this question because somebody who loves to travel.
00:06:11
Speaker
If somebody was to ask you, is Iceland really, really expensive, what would your answer Yes. Yes. Compared to like Chicago prices?
00:06:23
Speaker
Yes. Really, really expensive or just expensive?
00:06:29
Speaker
Pretty expensive compared to Chicago. I also am pretty frugal and I, like I said, I cooked a lot. I went the- Did you have like, did you have a kitchen in your- I did. Oh, nice. I did an Airbnb, wonderful hosts.
00:06:44
Speaker
Yeah. They lived above where I was staying. Did you have dinner with them at all? I did.
00:06:53
Speaker
Somehow I felt like I knew the answer already, but I'm like, I feel like in foreign countries, like if you stay somewhere, like they would invite you up for dinner. and like Yeah, I was only the second person. They sorry for you and you're like, oh, good look at this poor schlub. Because he was there was like, I was supposed to be here with other people and they didn't want to come with me.
00:07:11
Speaker
Yeah. By the way, the fridge is on too. Fuck, I thought I unplugged it.
00:07:17
Speaker
Look, everybody, it's been a while since we've done an episode because it's been a very busy summer. What else did I unplug? Oh, no. Did you unplug your ice machine, maybe? Oh, yeah. I usually don't. just turn it off. Oh, boy.
00:07:30
Speaker
We're back at it again. but yeah, they were a lovely couple. um It was this wonderful ah lesbian couple that are both artists. um And the one is a filmmaker. The other is a photographer.
00:07:43
Speaker
I met their... 12 year old daughter and their nephew that lived, uh, lives during the week with them. um because he goes to the university, and then travels back and yeah, it was just made.
00:07:59
Speaker
I'm not the biggest like seafood. They made this, um, flat fish. That's what they called it. Uh, but with like herbs and lemon and other things. And it was, had like the best crust.
00:08:11
Speaker
It was so flaky. Crusty fish. Oh, flatfish isn't really a fish. I think they were just describing what kind of fish. No. And that wasn't a great descriptor. Something they found outside in the land. Why not? 20% economy. And it was a flat piece of meat. they're like, looks like it fell out of the sky. We will call it the flatfish.
00:08:31
Speaker
Oh, boy. Well, that's awesome. And i definitely want to... I do want to hear more about this because, like, i as my father-in-law said, like, Iceland is on my bucket list.
00:08:43
Speaker
But, unfortunately for you, Matthew, we're not here to regale in your triumphant stories of, you know, taking over Iceland and becoming the king of Iceland.
00:08:55
Speaker
Um, nor did you bring us any s Icelandic beer, so... No, I wasn't. I left you. As right now, you are useless. Shut so except Except thank you for the... That's not from Iceland. Shut up.
00:09:08
Speaker
Thank you for the hop water from Old Irving. Oh, yeah. And the other beers. And the other beers that are here. Yeah. We still love you. Just a little less. um We are transitioning over into something that we are really excited about because...
00:09:22
Speaker
i know I know there's other people out there that have probably gotten these as a preview, but we are previewing Revolution's Deepwood series that premieres the world.

Excitement for October Deepwood Releases

00:09:35
Speaker
Chicago. But if you're a psycho like some people and you live in other places and you like to buy beers and travel to get it. You're a psycho. When it comes to barrel-aged beers, Chicago is the epicenter. Yeah, I mean. We rule. So we got Revolution's Deepwood series. They're October releases. Yes. um All lined up in front of us.
00:09:53
Speaker
And we are going to go through them all. Yes, we are. I'm very excited. Because we we are gluttons for punishment. Yes. And for all of the hedonists. And for Paralese beers. Punishment in a good way. Yeah. ah Yeah, i'm I'm very excited about this.
00:10:11
Speaker
I know I've talked about it numerous times how Clark and i normally will split. He used to be a season ticket holder, and I was very close this year to buying a season ticket to get all of the beers.
00:10:22
Speaker
um But I just didn't i didn't pull the trigger. this This lineup this year โ€“ ah I don't think there's a beer in here that I don't want to have. i mean, cause there's some years where it's like, okay, mean, I'll get this one. I'll get that. But this definitely leans more towards what, uh, I look forward to from the deep wood series, especially this October release, which has, um, regular death star, the cafe teeth or cafe death, however you want to call it.
00:10:48
Speaker
Uh, and then my favorite is the vanilla vanilla is one I always look forward to. oh Now, the other thing they've been doing is that they have bigger cans that they sell, which is like a variation of a variation. And this one is the Cocoa Vanilla Dut, and it is the Stout Agent of Burberry Burrows with cocoa and vanilla. I'm very excited about that as well.
00:11:09
Speaker
Just wanted to give everybody a heads up on what we're going to be drinking. The first one we're goingnna start with is the original. D-Star. D-Star. Let's give it a sip. Brandon, did it? did.
00:11:23
Speaker
While you were talking. I waited that long. and I can keep talking. I mean, i had to go through Matthew's whole diatribe about Iceland, us pretending we cared.
00:11:34
Speaker
And then I was like, all right, I'm drinking this beer. No, actually, didn't really care. Um... <unk> I liked it. I like it That's it. There's a preview. No, Iceland.
00:11:45
Speaker
Oh, no. I thought you were talking about the beer. I mean, I was like, well, it tastes exactly like the OG. So I was like, yes, I like it. And I feel like, and that's one of the things about Rev is, and I will give this credit to a lot of the breweries in Chicago, like their base beers, like their base barrel age beers or whatever, are always kind of on point.
00:12:08
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. It's hard, like even with Bourbon County every year, um as much as we love it, I think I love, i mean, I love getting the new, rare like the new years and trying it um it's always kind of the same, which isn't a bad thing.
00:12:26
Speaker
um But I love like the, the difference. I love the variants that they do. Yeah. Yeah. and same thing with these tar. I love like, those are all variants of that essentially. And like, that's what I'm excited about. And so to say, say this beer,
00:12:42
Speaker
Tastes like it always does. It's not a bad thing. It's a tribute to consistency and shout out to consistency because they continue to make great beers. Well, especially when you're with barrel aging a beer.
00:12:56
Speaker
Yeah. There's so many things that go wrong. There's a lot more factors into getting something consistent that you can almost like โ€“ if you If it's not consistent, it's kind of like, well, what do you expect?
00:13:09
Speaker
you know i i we're We're trying all these. But they've they've mastered it in a way where you come to expect this and you get it. like One of the things I always like about ah the the straight up RGD Star is there's like a cocoa to it that i always get. a Is that baker's cocoa?
00:13:26
Speaker
Or like a baker's chocolate on the back? like i don't know. it's it's it's There's a chocolatey to it that I really like. You said cocoa and my head went straight to Coca-Cola. No, because like... Interesting. You should have said cacao.
00:13:43
Speaker
I get this just a slight fruitiness to it that just reminds me of Coca-Cola. Which has you know that rich kind of earthy quality to it, but interesting.
00:13:57
Speaker
I'm seeing that. I can see that. So for those that are interested, D-Star is an Imperial Oatmeal Stout. Man, I was going to read it. It's a Prolo... A prolonged repose in bourbon-soaked American oak barrels adorns a dark chocolate profile with notes of toasted coconut and vanilla.
00:14:16
Speaker
A rich, supple texture... is Wait, was there an emphasis on the word for you to say it like that? Yeah, totally. Oh, there it is. A rich, supple texture bellies the unholy power of and of our imperial oatmeal stout.
00:14:27
Speaker
I think it's... How many other, like, barely... is Like, is... Krampus isn't oatmeal stuff, right? No. And Bourbon County is not oatmeal,
00:14:39
Speaker
That's interesting. like I feel like, obviously, the ah oatmeal is what's giving it a lot more body than... That means you can have this for breakfast. And I have had the coffee for breakfast before.
00:14:52
Speaker
Yeah, it's also what can give you that really sticky yeah mash and gives you some extra proteins, it gives you the body. Like protein? Yeah. This is the perfect breakfast drink. Go to the gym. Sipping on my oatmeal stout.
00:15:11
Speaker
The good and bad is the... Dr. Matthew says it's okay. Why not? Oatmeal's healthy. um But yeah, the oatmeal has a little bit more sugars that will convert, so it'll be a little bit drier unless they also add things like maltodextrin and you know other things that don't have as many convertible sugars.
00:15:29
Speaker
Convertible like top-down? Yeah, cool. Sugars with their tops down. Brandon with his shirt off. Oh, that early in the night already.
00:15:40
Speaker
It's going to be a fun one. ah Yeah, I... It's just like... ah I hate to keep going back and forth to like, you know, Bourbon County, but I think you can't talk about this without talking about Bourbon County just because of the city Chicago and Barrel-Aged Beers, but the...
00:15:59
Speaker
Regular Deet's Jar and regular Bourbon County are ones that after I buy it and like maybe have it, and maybe I got like one left or whatever, i tend to buy another one.
00:16:09
Speaker
like Even with this, they have those 19.2 ounce cans. and I always look forward to that because I'll buy one of those and it's fun to like bring somewhere to share. With myself? Yeah, I was going to say. Damn it. I'm getting to the punchline.
00:16:23
Speaker
ahtime I'm going to a Halloween party and brought it. anybody want something? They're like, no, I'm okay. I'm like, okay. I guess this is what I'm drinking. Normally you pour an ounce to some one other person and then you're like, guess this is the Guess rest is mine. Hey, I shared it. I did share it.
00:16:38
Speaker
ah Yeah, this is solid as usual. Yeah, i again, something that we've always talked about. like This is the time year that ah I look forward to the most. Barely aged beers start rolling out. I haven't had any pumpkin beers yet, guys.
00:16:52
Speaker
I know. I'm waiting until shut i'm I'm waiting until they're gone. i yeah And I find the scraps. And then you find them for $2 a bottle. Yeah, exactly. No, I haven't done anything. i The only thing I have done is made a pumpkin butter old fashioned.
00:17:09
Speaker
which was very good because i like pumpkin spice stuff. All right. I'm on board. Two ounces of bourbon, tablespoon. don't want to hear i want you to make it. Okay. You're the second person to say that to me. Jeez.
00:17:21
Speaker
Anyways, it's very good, but I was holding off on on pumpkin things but until October. But this is... I wanted hear the rest of you. Okay. Two ounces of bourbon, one tablespoon of pumpkin butter, splash of the orange bitters, and you can put little cinnamon in there if you want. You can it in the shaker. Shake it all up. Shake it all up.
00:17:38
Speaker
Strain it over some ice. You can add a cinnamon stick to it if you'd like. All right. So now let's go deeper. This pumpkin butter that you speak of, where does that come from? You can get it at like any pumpkin patch or like apple. Trader Joe's has one. Or Trader Joe's. Okay.
00:17:54
Speaker
Brandon, I plan on going to get pumpkins and apples this year. i will get you thing of pumpkin butter. We gotta to go Benjamin wants to go apple picking. It is fun. We don't have a date. He just said he wants to go. Well, Virginia and I also would like to go apple picking. Would you like to join all of us Should we all get a whole caravan going? hey We'll all go apple picking? Apple picking is fun.
00:18:09
Speaker
It is fun. It's a lot of fun. I'm like, it's me favorite. Pick them off a tree, eat them. Throw them on the ground if you take two bites. Yeah. Say in your face nature. i rule this place. The one thing i do like of Kenosha out in the county is there.
00:18:22
Speaker
Is it Apple Holler? They have apple picking, but then they also have ah their own little winery now. What? So you can go drink and apple pick.
00:18:33
Speaker
We to go to Kenosha for that now? I know. I mean, i like Kenosha, but for the brat stuff. yeah mean I got drink and pick apples.
00:18:45
Speaker
That's a lot of work. ah But yeah, so this is, I, I, I always do look forward their lineup, what they have. And it's always great to start with the OG.
00:18:56
Speaker
So very happy about this. I think I want to go through not rating these. Let's just, no, no, no, this is definitely not. I mean, i I already, I mean, unless there's something about it where I'm like, don't know if I like this. Yeah, I'm not going to rate it, but so far, I mean, off to a good start here. Yeah.
00:19:13
Speaker
It'd be hard. Way to be consistent, Rev. Rev. yeah in in these cases i think for me mostly what i'm gonna be looking at is just like which one's my favorite yeah because that's gonna be more of my personal uh marty and josh and these guys they make phenomenal beer and you guys are right with the consistency the fact that you can go to the og and get the same beer year after year is a testament to not only the barrels they pick but how they taste them blend them make sure that everything is consistent and so
00:19:45
Speaker
ah For me, it's really just figuring out which ones are going the most exciting. The one with the label that is the bright one. Yeah. but that's one or I love that. And also, we should say that the Deepwood series actually started back in July, which is they normally do, which I did buy some of those.
00:20:03
Speaker
ah They did the... Strawberry Jacket, Thundertaker, the 15th anniversary, and then the 15-year Beer Cherry, I'm not going to pronounce it, Ambarana, I believe, which is a type of cinnamon, I believe.
00:20:17
Speaker
Yeah, I had that one. That one was very good. Did you drink all of your Strawberry Jacket? I have one Strawberry Jacket left. One strawberry jacket left. That was what I wanted to see how strawberry... stra This year's is is very good.
00:20:32
Speaker
um My favorite one was, the i think the first one they did, I don't remember what year it was, but the can itself was like, it looked like a strawberry. It was like red and green. And that was, it tasted like, um I don't know where this is anywhere else in the United States, if they have it.
00:20:49
Speaker
Sure they do, but... On the northwest side of Chicago, was a very big European-Polish population when I was a kid growing up. It still is. And there was these little candies that were like wrapped yeah the little strawberry candies. And that's what it reminded me of.
00:21:02
Speaker
Like a barley wine that just tasted like that strawberry candy. And it was so good. And it's also the tiniest candy. yeah Yeah. It's like a micro candy. Yeah. It was one of the candies I didn't want at Halloween. And then then when I finally had it, go, this is awesome.
00:21:16
Speaker
That's what it reminded me of. But yeah, so those are the first ones that came out. This now, I mean, the summer ones are a part of it, obviously. But it does feel like now that we're here in September, about to be October, this is like the real. And I think that's why I have a hard time like getting into it in like July. Because you're not ready for it. Yeah, I'm like, but I'll tell you this.
00:21:40
Speaker
I mean, i had it. Yeah, I know what you and I have. yeah we And you've had all them. I mean, camping was pretty fun drinking some stouts. Yeah, absolutely. what was the What was the rev beer that we had at the end of the day?
00:21:52
Speaker
don't know. We were getting ready to leave. I have some pictures of it. Yeah, it was it was on it is one of the 19-ounce cans that were very good. while you're looking for that, we have had we just opened up Cafe Deeth.
00:22:02
Speaker
Cafe Deeth. And this is... I... i As soon as I smelled this, it took me back to the last time I had Supermassive Cafรฉ Deeth, which is one of my favorites.
00:22:14
Speaker
I can't make that Oh, that is a double barrel VSOJ. That's what we had. Yeah, that one was... But there's something else on top of that I can't read. But yeah, Cafรฉ Deeth is, I would say, probably my favorite coffee beer.
00:22:28
Speaker
Did you ever have the double Cafรฉ Deeth? We're just talking about this. The Supermassive Cafรฉ Deeth is insane. i i' glad that's not an all the time release because it would take away like the kind of specialness of it but smelling this I can smell the cough right away and I was like oh god yeah this is fresh like you know oh man so this is good release this is coming out this week as

Release Schedule and Anticipation

00:22:53
Speaker
It's released on Friday. Yeah.
00:22:54
Speaker
This is coming out Monday. Right. episode This is the day. Today's day's Monday. Pre-sales tomorrow. Yeah. Tuesday. Everything comes out on Friday. And I'm wondering if one of the special tappings they have, um don't know if they have their variants up. Do they have it?
00:23:08
Speaker
but Because they do special tappings of variants at Rev. Yeah. um I'm not seeing it. so And I wonder if Supermassive Cafe date is going to be available.
00:23:18
Speaker
I hope so. Sorry. I totally went off. I'm just super. But this is that's what it smells like. So already I'm like expecting big coffee notes from this. Coffee Nutella?
00:23:31
Speaker
that I'm thinking. okay. I know what you're saying. yeah I like that. worker na for This is, so this one's a little sweeter to me. Yeah, little bit.
00:23:45
Speaker
I don't get that. I'm not getting, like I was talking about, like that cocoa. i don't I don't get that as much as I get coffee and kind of a sweetness. Yeah, and the only different, well, in the overall description is Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels and steeped with fresh coffee beans. yeah The way they do coffee is fantastic.
00:24:05
Speaker
Yeah, I was like, the coffee for me is a lot more on the nose and I don't have as much of that fruitiness. I get a lot more of that, like... sweet chocolate that comes through on the back end for me on this No, but it's so it's funny. I'm reading the description. So the full description is ah fresh whole bean coffee from Chicago's own dark matter coffee. you dark matter.
00:24:26
Speaker
Stirrs the senses in the barrel aged imperial oatmeal stout. Haunting aromatics of roast and dried fruit enter the realm of toasted walnut and rich chocolate.
00:24:37
Speaker
I do get a little like toasted walnut type in there and it's It complements the beer so well. like The coffee that they chose is just, I think, perfect for this beer.
00:24:49
Speaker
This is definitely um is a very coffee-forward beer. yeah Sometimes when people say like there's coffee in a beer, there's there's like even hints of it. and This isn't super strong, but I feel like it's a good amount with it being just like...
00:25:06
Speaker
You're going to get coffee. yeah like You're going to taste coffee in this. It's not just a hint. It's not like i'm want to punch in the face, but this it's very coffee-forward, and I like that. Yeah. i I mean, if you're going to call it coffee or cafe, like you have to have that presence. yeah um The only ones I know that have gone like way more tend to be thinner stouts and lower ABBs, and then they're big coffee, but when you have this kind of body...
00:25:33
Speaker
You're going to use it.
00:25:37
Speaker
It's like Jeff Goldblum. Life finds a way. Jesus. Oh, man. Yeah, I um don't know what else to say about this. like it's it i It's one of my favorite variants that they do each year.
00:25:56
Speaker
i look forward to it. like The regular and this one seem to be like obviously the two common ones that they do every, every year. Like it's coffee and regular. It's always been fantastic.
00:26:07
Speaker
Yeah. I feel like we all kind of, not, not that we talk about and do the same playbook, but you see which ones people really love and come back to year after year. Yeah.
00:26:19
Speaker
And, you bring those ones back and you adjust a little bit. And so, yeah. You know, I guess the little preview is like we're doing a variant on Chomperato this year. Oh, really?
00:26:33
Speaker
Yeah. Even though Chomperato won last year, Trevor's always wanted to play with it a little bit. Interesting. Trevor always wants to play with it little bit. Okay.
00:26:45
Speaker
Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Yeah, this is ah this is ah is is as good as I was expecting. I think if I had to say something right now between the two, i like this a little bit more.
00:26:59
Speaker
what i rather does sir I mean, there's more to it. so I like more. I'm a more kind of guy. And I like more brewing. Uno mรกs cerveza, por favor.
00:27:10
Speaker
Si, si. ah Brandon, we're looking at a time. It's time for us to take a break. And time for those kids in the background shut their mouths. Just joking. we're not going to tell them to up.
00:27:21
Speaker
We'll be right back.
00:27:25
Speaker
And we're back! Welcome back, everybody. We're knee-deep in the Deepwoods series. um We're doing the preview for a Revolution. Thank you, Rev, for giving us these beers to check out.
00:27:35
Speaker
um We are moving on to the third beer into this ah first or i guess next release for the the do cans over there can's over there it's vanilla date one of the variants I love very much and Matthew as you were pointing out that the blue really pops on that ah that can I remember Brandon you might still have one When it was like a goldish white, almost vanilla cream color on the can.
00:28:02
Speaker
The fuck do I know what I had? I don't know. i yeah You know what's crazy? I kept my... I ah you have a list. I no longer have a list. I can't keep up with my list. yeah it's what I haven't been in that room in like... a year probably yeah which blows my mind because ah used to go in there all the time just to be like look at all this your finger is probably now invalid you should probably go check it i probably should check that while we're here but yes brandon's uh brandon's cave of beer uh is pretty awesome that room is the shelving i had in there collapsed um so i've got new shelving in the garage like literally i have to clear the whole room out and then build new shelving and then put everything
00:28:39
Speaker
Not the beer. The beer's fine. Dude, if you need help, I'll come by. but Start with that. The other stuff. Yeah, the beer's fine. But like literally I had this wire shelving in there and then like that collapsed. I went to go open the door like two weeks ago and I could not get in. i'm like, what?
00:28:52
Speaker
And I stuck my head in there. The shelf did collapse. And I was like. Also, I think we need to have people here all the time. sounds like we're at a bar. Yeah. Kind of like that aspect of it. Also, I want to, when I'm at quote, I'm putting air quotes up when I'm editing this episode.
00:29:08
Speaker
We'll see how much we can hear, like what they're talking about. Yeah. I'm to turn up the, that'll be intro. Zero in. Pull out their whole conversation. Make that another episode. The intro. um I'd say the intro is just going to be them talking. See if we get something that they're saying, like, well, they're having really good conversation.
00:29:24
Speaker
Mike's going to walk away with talking from Greg. Like, dude, Becca's dad's so awesome. Yeah. You like Labradors? I like golden retrievers, dude. All right. Dogs are awesome. taylor They start fighting. Let me know.
00:29:37
Speaker
We're drinking. They start dog fighting. Let really know. They're flying planes. No, they're just sniffing each other's asses. Oh, God. Don't say that about his father-in-law. like like each You can say that about Mike all you want.
00:29:50
Speaker
Mike sniffs butts. Yeah. my but I like that little bitch come over here, man. Also, he does our theme song. ah Anyways, what do you guys Now we get the new AI one. Yeah.
00:30:00
Speaker
There's a new AI one for this episode. Oh, totally. All right. There's a new evidence the AI intro. It's happening. has to be. What are you guys feeling about? Hey, keep it down back there. We're recording again, okay? Jeez.
00:30:14
Speaker
Look at you, Kelly.
00:30:17
Speaker
No, you're right. no We've just been talking about you guys for this whole second half. Is that me? We didn't say Mike. We said loser and like you just assumed it was you. come on Why are you in the yard?
00:30:32
Speaker
Mike, we love you. Alright, what do you guys think about Vanilla Dees this year's version of i I like this one a lot. Again, i think we were talking off mic.
00:30:44
Speaker
I need to drink more Barrel-Aged Beer fresh. Yes. The coffee that was popping, like the vanilla on this, is so present and prominent. And it's not, ah like I love, and I'm pretty sure we've talked about this too, I love vanilla, Barrel-Aged Beer's Vanilla Stouts.
00:31:01
Speaker
I don't mind a big vanilla bomb of a beer. This is not a big vanilla bomb a beer, and it's perfect. Like it's, It is the right, it's like baking. use the right amount of vanilla to to bring out everything else. Yeah, it's very subtle.
00:31:14
Speaker
And then the other stuff kind of comes through, which is nice. It's subtle in a way that you still get it and it elevates everything else. It has a little bit of that cream soda back end finish to me.
00:31:27
Speaker
Yes. Yeah. Good. Hey, do you know beer, Dad? Wow. Brandon, do you know what Matthew knows about beer? Yeah. Fucking surprises me. I don't know. I've just been talking about soda today.
00:31:40
Speaker
guy knows his soda. knows soda. He knows more about Iceland than anything else. He knows about Iceland and soda. and the Instagram? Instagram? We're Instagram influencers.
00:31:53
Speaker
um No, so what's interesting is I was looking at the the description and i will read it. Behold, our original barrel-aged Imperial oatmeal stout D-Star with hand-split whole vanilla beans. Jeez.
00:32:07
Speaker
Somebody's hand chopped them. yeah Trevor almost gave up on it this year. he got a lot of reactions. He's like, fuck this. And vanilla toasted French oak.
00:32:20
Speaker
Ooh, okay. Flaked malted oats, because it's an oatmeal style. Establish a supremely silky body that belies the beer's considerable strength.
00:32:33
Speaker
Pronounce vanilla flavors and aromas blend harmoniously with chocolatey caramel, maltiness, and oak. um I agree with all of that. I was taking the when I was ah drinking or caramelly.
00:32:46
Speaker
That 100%. Caramel? Caramel? Caramel? that is one hundred percent go ahead caramel caramel yeah like i had the word with i don't i on the different caramel i was like dude i say caramel i switch back and forth carel My car smells? No, it doesn't. You bit it. Mine did after camping. Oh, yeah. Not bad.
00:33:10
Speaker
I literally had to do a, like, smoke bomb in there to, like, air that thing out because it was ripe. Well, yeah, three sneaky dudes and all wet stuff. All the wet stuff, yeah. The wet stuff, yeah.
00:33:23
Speaker
Oh, man. And then I had to change the air filter, too, because that was of gross. Good idea. Did you get a new tent? No, but I was going to because ah the kiddo joined Cub Scouts and they've got a camping trip in like two weeks.
00:33:38
Speaker
And we thought like he's really going to want to And I was like, right, I'm going to get a new tent. And then so literally the other day we had to sit him down and be like, look, because he was all about like, we're going camping. It's like two nights. It's going to great. I'm like, all right, go camping.
00:33:54
Speaker
But you're going to miss your buddy's birthday party. And he's like, oh. go camping next time. Party's over camping. When he gets older, he'll realize that camping is the party.
00:34:05
Speaker
Yeah. Back to the caramel caramel. It was crazy how when you said that, that I did, I mean, know, there's power of suggestion, of course, but it is on the nose. Like, that was something that wasn't picking up and that vanilla and chocolate and everything, like, that, this is, this is dynamite. I love this.
00:34:26
Speaker
And I knew, I mean, i I am a little biased because I do like the vanilla beers, especially barrel-aged stouts, but this is top-notch, man. This is so good. I really, really like this one.
00:34:37
Speaker
Sorry, Cafe D. You've been bumped down. feel like that's like the regulatory order. Yeah. Nope, nope, nope. Well, it's like when we when we do when we do the Bourbon County beers, we always omit OG because it's it's it's just Bourbon County. Yeah.
00:34:56
Speaker
Where I feel like D-Star, it's โ€“ and this is then again, like we're saying, like that's a โ€“ sorry. that's a That's a compliment. it's it you I can't top those.
00:35:07
Speaker
So i don't I take them out because there wouldn't be those โ€“ there wouldn't be these without those. You know what i mean? Yeah. We don't have two more beers. And it's โ€“ It's what you said earlier that I really do like is when you get to go to a party and you can bring an OG to people who've never had it. yeah The fact that we've had four or five or however many years they've done of it.
00:35:29
Speaker
no And you're like, oh I've had every year. This is great, but you know exactly what you're expecting when the consistency is the same. yeah And hopefully the same thing with Krampus. People get in they're like, yep, I know it. I love it.
00:35:41
Speaker
Nobody said Krampus. I did. Oh, sorry. Okay.
00:35:46
Speaker
Sponsored by Oldermig. But people know what they're getting. Yeah, absolutely. And so it's one of those things where you've had it you're like, yeah. It's one of those boring comments where we could very much just say, yep, had there been there, done that, it's good.
00:36:01
Speaker
But when you get to bring it to someone brand new who's never had that kind of beer before. You start them with that. like and they're like That's exciting. And it's one of those moments that I do like working beer fest where you put a good beer in front of someone who's never had it and they look at you and they like you know this beer is good and you're like it almost like reignited your passion for it you're like forgot and then you yeah someone leaves somebody i almost never do this in front of them someone's like so excited about one of our beers as soon as they leave i'm like well let me pour little a little bit let me try it and i'm like oh yeah this is why we're doing it oh yeah this is i like beer it is it is stuff
00:36:42
Speaker
It is pretty awesome. But like was saying, I can't put... There's no point of me choosing a favorite when the original is in there. like I take the original out because, like I said, the original is... not fair. Yeah, because in all honesty, original is the best.
00:36:59
Speaker
Because as far as I'm concerned, like because that's where it starts. It starts there. There's the base for everything. For the most part, everything else that is going to be made off of it. um especially with this these here. I mean, now there's barley wines and stuff for later in the year and stuff like that, but the regular D-Star is just top notch. That's not how it works, though.

Building on a Great Foundation

00:37:21
Speaker
Because I have dirt. Okay. Dirt is the best. Whoa, whoa. What are talking about? add some water to the dirt, a little straw, and I build a fucking castle that holds the place.
00:37:32
Speaker
The castle's the best. This guy's building sh straw castles. But God made dirt, and dirt don't hurt. If you get in your eye, that'll fuck you up. It's true. You will go you could go by, dude. But I'm just saying, Mike, it's a great foundation. It helps make everything better.
00:37:50
Speaker
But hey, you're not great until you get the other gin in there to make you great. and You got that castle, that dirt castle. ah He's making some valid points. i'm actually going edit this whole part out. Actually, that's the intro. That is the intro. What's the time, Brandon?
00:38:08
Speaker
We've got to go back to the other screen. 48 minutes. 48. But I'm just saying, like... So the episode will be like 10 seconds long. Nothing gets edited out. It's okay. No, but it I just text you so I can remember it. Everybody, you've already heard that whole shmeel before because that is the intro of the episode. I'm just saying, like, the bases are always great.
00:38:30
Speaker
But you throw other shit at the base, the base gets stronger. like I feel like I've I'm just i'm just saying. going to go. All right. Brandon, what are we drinking next?
00:38:41
Speaker
Beer.
00:38:44
Speaker
This is a cocoa vanilla deeth. Yeah, so this is the big ol' can they got. 19.2 ounces. Hey, glad we got other people to... Yeah. i Actually, i wasn't i was when I thought it was just going be me and you, I'm like, this episode is going to be real rough at the end because if we have to finish that ol' can, which we could, but... I took a sip. I am forcing myself. man.
00:39:06
Speaker
Oh, Man.
00:39:10
Speaker
oh boy damn That's like a perfect blend. I wanted to say, was it cocoa, vanilla? or Chocolate. It's it's cocoa. like and yeah yeah Perfect blend, I think, of everything.
00:39:27
Speaker
And I'm not, it's not, actually, I will say, I'm getting more of an overpowering, like, coconess. the And then I'm getting some coffee, little bit.
00:39:39
Speaker
little bit, but that, it's cocoa and vanilla are like front and center, and that's, That's pretty damn good. Yeah. i'm I'm definitely getting the cocoa, but everything is pretty mild.
00:39:51
Speaker
Like nothing is. Yeah. But nothing is like, okay, they put 400 pounds of Yeah. yeah But don say like this it's like, it's a good blend of like, I'm not overwhelmed with either one or the other.
00:40:07
Speaker
It's just, it's very subtle and I like it. Yeah, this just kind of reminds me of D-Star on a little bit of steroids. Cool, shut up. Cocoa Vanilla Deef. fuck?
00:40:18
Speaker
Barreling forth from the same French oak augmented blend of stout used in the 2025 Vanilla Deef, this super accessible rendition features Mexican cocoa nibs for our buds at Sleepwalk Chocolatiera by Dark Matter Chocolate.
00:40:34
Speaker
With so much of the vanilla character coming from Oak rather than just hand-split beans, you'll also want to experience this beer at cellaring temp before the full... Dude, what word is that? Breadth?
00:40:47
Speaker
What is that? Breadth. Breadth. With a D? Yeah, breath. I don't know that word. Aeromanics presents itself. For any sort of adjunct, Bob. I'm not done. I'm not done. I'm not done.
00:41:01
Speaker
I'm not done. And I'm very good. I'm glad you brought his readers. I wear them all the time now. I go fucking blind. Far from any sort of adjunct bomb, a patient drinker will reward it with a dynamic sipping experience, hitting on the wide range of familiar and comforting flavors and aromas as it warms, never letting anyone dominate.
00:41:19
Speaker
Wow. We didn't even read that. And that's exactly... You said everything was kind of like subtle, but it's it's all present. Me, like, I get... I do get a lot of cocoa, but in the back, it's like vanilla's there in the background like, hey, I'm still here, guys.
00:41:34
Speaker
I'm joining the party. We're still having a good time. Here's my friend cocoa. At least it's in my head that's what was happening. I bet there's a lot of things happening in your head. What does that word breath mean? I didn't know D was in the word breath.
00:41:49
Speaker
can't say it. That's the word bread with T-H at end.
00:42:00
Speaker
Somebody's got to back me up on this. Breadth. Breadth. Never fucking seen it in my life. Okay, guys? That's on you. They're never going to give us beer. not reading. That's also true. They're never going to give us a beer again.
00:42:16
Speaker
This guy can't read. The one description I decide to read.
00:42:23
Speaker
Why is there a myriad of words on there? Why does he know the word myriad? But not breadth. That is true. I do know that. ah This is, this man, I, think I'm going to buy, think I'm going to buy this can for sure. Cause this is a fun one. Like it's interesting because to have it at seller temp is what's suggested. Yeah. And you, I think you took it out. Like the fact that we saved this literally about an hour ago. Yeah.
00:42:52
Speaker
Like this is not, this is not the coldest one that we've had. It's perfect. It's, it's very good. it's very tasty. I like the blend of the cocoa and vanilla. ah I was kind of hoping I'd get some more that caramely flavor. Yeah. But I don't get it from the vanilla, which is not bad.
00:43:09
Speaker
But I feel like with this chocolate ah the or the cocoa, vanilla and some that caramel would have been like really nice, like having a candy bar. Yeah, yeah. Without it being like going like sweet. No, but very well done. And this is this is the interesting thing about this because this is one of our โ€“ first times having beers like this, like so close to when they were packaged. Yeah. Like, because shout out to Kim from, Rev.
00:43:37
Speaker
She messaged us, messaged us, uh, ah message He has another word message. No, Tuesday. When did I pick him up? Wednesday. Yeah. Yeah. She messaged and on Tuesday and like, Hey, we just packaged these.
00:43:50
Speaker
So like, to just like that weekend or whatever, like whatever packed. I'm like, These are super, super fresh. Well, and with that being said, you got it after they were just packaged. And this week, as this as of this episode, people can pick it up. Yeah. That's super fucking fresh.
00:44:07
Speaker
Friday. And yes, Matthew, i know you want to say it. You guys do it too. We know because it's come down to you guys have packaged beers and then came here and did the fucking episode. i thought about it and i wasn't gonna say anything yeah we were thinking it no no i but i wasn't gonna say it no but i'm just like like we haven't had that many like but krampus yeah absolutely krampus is probably the freshest we've got um and we've had some goose island i think roughly before it was released or right after um they've been very kind to us but i feel like like the goose stuff i mean because it's so big
00:44:45
Speaker
like they package a lot ahead of time. yeah Like they have to, they have to prepare for that. Um, not knocking like what we get cause what we get is great. And you know, but when we're trying to talk about like the taste of something that you get versus like, Hey, we're drinking this now. You're going to get it in a week. yeah Um, as of this recording or as when you're listening five days, four days, um,
00:45:10
Speaker
um My hope is that it's very close to this. Yeah, you know absolutely. this is So, like, drink what you... And again, if you're buying the four-pack, you have to. Buy a four-pack.
00:45:23
Speaker
Drink one now because it's phenomenal. Don't hold to it. yeah If you want to age some, fine, but yeah at least drink two. Yeah, you've got check out some to age, but like these are great right out of the box.
00:45:34
Speaker
And I've been... you know like I've got a lot of beers that i hold on to. But i the majority of them I tried. Yeah. And like I just, you know, and then I buy them and like. And then we ve and now we sample them on this podcast.
00:45:48
Speaker
And then and that's like. Well, that's one of the. Everything I've got from 2019, I wait until Benjamin turns 21. yeah That's pretty awesome. That is pretty cool. Yeah. But I mean, that's. He's going to hate.
00:46:00
Speaker
and I don't drink. I vape, dad. No, it doesn't give me that. going to have some new weird shit where it's just like, I rub it on my skin. It's AI lotion. I thought you were saying air.
00:46:11
Speaker
It's air. Dad, have oxygen. He high off air. Dad, I do oxygen. I mean, at that point, who knows what the government will take away and all you got is air. Don't take away my oxygen.
00:46:23
Speaker
I have to pay to breathe? No. There's the air tax. ah Not getting political. Not doing um Yeah, this is... ah i would I would say for this one, I would not age it.
00:46:35
Speaker
I would not age this beer. I would drink this as fresh as possible. want to save it for Christmas and New Year's, maybe... Is that a challenge? um We've got one more can left. But like honestly...
00:46:48
Speaker
Flavors, like adjunct flavors will fall off. Yeah. For the most part. And some, like, coffee tends to be one of the ones that ah falls off within a year. Coconut tends to go a little bit more quick. Vanilla also drops off. Spices tend to fade a little bit over time. If it's just a barrel-aged beer without adjuncts,
00:47:09
Speaker
you can let it sit. You can let that age. like I feel like that you can at least, something might happen. yeah Where it might not go bad. I think you should do what Psalms do.
00:47:20
Speaker
You buy a case of them. Okay. And then you try one a year. Okay. So that every year you get to compare it. Got it. And you know how it really All money bags, come on. I said you.
00:47:31
Speaker
wow And then invite me. Well, this is what you do. You get a Krampus. a whole case of Krampus. I have Krampus that I bring guys. I have so much Krampus in my own personal talk that I don't drink that I bring you guys. A keg.
00:47:46
Speaker
yeah We get a keg, Krampus. Also, where's my keg Adela, dude? You never text me back. I did? ah I said when. Was he in Iceland? Oh, you didn't say when. didn't say when. Say when. Now.
00:47:58
Speaker
Now. This week. Let's do it. ah I gotta just put the tower in. Actually, I need to get new hoes. it's not that before my kegerator you shouldn't eat that tower the tower i gave you has new does it with it yeah that was a brand new tower oh that's where i didn't know i had hose with it it should the whole thing should be connected oh all right cool just need to put the new tower then i don't know shit about shit i didn't really look at it yeah in fact i was looking for the box i just virginia go you know that box it's actually like i don't know what you're talking about i'm like
00:48:30
Speaker
I brought it in. It's somewhere inside here. Well, yeah, check it first. i that That should have like untouched hoses. Check the box for the hose. I always check the box for the hose. You know what I mean? That's checking a box on your checklist to buy hose for... Different area codes. I was going to say your friend's bachelor party. And I'm talking about male hose.
00:48:50
Speaker
um Yeah, this is... Sorry, Rev. We went off the rails. but but This is... Welcome to the Molding Hour. I... i going to say this. right Out of all of them, right ah if I had to choose what my favorite one was, it is still vanilla. Okay. Vanilla vanilla is my favorite.
00:49:10
Speaker
I would say cafe snacks and then this cocoa vanilla. That's for myself. the The sweetness in the cafe deeth is... going to say deeth in the back and forth.
00:49:21
Speaker
The sweetness that I get from cafe deeth was nice. it it's It's like a... like I don't put sugar in my coffee anymore. So it's kind of nice to have sugar and coffee together again.
00:49:33
Speaker
supreme weird I'm just a cream guy. cra I'm a cream guy. I knew that. Until this time where I get the pumpkin spice creamer or caramel macchiato creamer where there's a little sugar in it.
00:49:46
Speaker
ah You go camping and you... What was that? S'mores? S'mores. S'mores Bailey's? I still have that S'mores got some upstairs. And I've got the S'mores Gaz. Hey, did I tell you that? I have the S'mores Gaz and whiskey. I found a bottle of it. I bought it.
00:49:59
Speaker
In Michigan. In Michigan. Where's my bottle? I'm sorry. Remember? I forgot to buy it. Oh, yeah. we No, I thought you said you you told me that you looked at a Clark. No, no, no. Clark, we got on the road and we didn't go.
00:50:12
Speaker
We didn't stop there. But there is a Woodman's. He looks so sad. Oh. There's still a. There's a Woodman's by my job that I'm going to go to because i'm pretty sure they haven't too.
00:50:25
Speaker
it You disappointed my wife. jesus know No! Go back to Michigan. I'm going to cocktails for everybody. I'm making you a pumpkin butter, old-fashioned.
00:50:37
Speaker
I'll make your wife the... She would want a pumpkin butter. Make everyone pumpkin butter. butter getting Are we all getting together to hang out sometime when we're going have all these cocktails? Yeah. That sounds fun, actually.
00:50:47
Speaker
We should do that. I'm serious. I'm looking at both of you being serious as hell right now. Duh. ah Matthew, do you have a favorite of the lineup?
00:51:00
Speaker
I think the vanilla barely sneaks back the cafe deep. But those two are like neck and neck. for me They're necking. They're necking. They're kissing. ah Brando, what about you? I'm liking this coca vanilla.
00:51:16
Speaker
I think it's probably my favorite. um But like close to... The vanilla. Regular vanilla. um and and Because i I do love when like cocoa comes through like with like a beer. Yeah.
00:51:31
Speaker
It does really well in this. um I feel like I like the way the vanilla comes through like in just vanillity. Yeah. mean It's so, I'm like, it's very, like, those two are tied for me, but, like, both very, very good beers. When I saw, when they announced this lineup, and I saw the, was it vanilla cocoa or cocoa vanilla?
00:51:56
Speaker
Cocoa vanilla. Coco Chanel. Is it Coco Chanel? um I, because my eyes, as guys know, I don't read very well, I thought it was going be, like a coconut vanilla, which I thought would have been Really, really cool.
00:52:08
Speaker
Well, what is funny is they think the label on there is like blue. Yeah. And for whatever reason in my brain, I come to attribute coconut to like a blue li That was my thought too. When I saw that, I was like, oh, that's yeah that's obviously coconut vanilla. And then I read it, I'm like, oh, it's cocoa. Did Death Coconut do that?

feel like there's a brand. um Death by Coconut is... Oscar Blues. yes ah Death by Coconut is so good. And Oscar Blues is blue and white. yes Yeah. So i think that's where my mind goes to like, I see Coco and I see blue.
00:52:41
Speaker
So I thought that originally, but then as we were going through the lineup, hey, Rev, ideas for next year. But like as we were going through, like want credit looking at what I got, I didn't really...
00:52:54
Speaker
you know read the descriptions. i I knew what was coming out, but I was like, um... Coconut? Okay. really That's what i thought it was going to be. Coconut vanilla would be awesome. hey But I'm not disappointed with what... No, no, no.
00:53:07
Speaker
I do want ask our audience in the background if they have a favorite. Hey, audience in the background. Did you guys have a favorite beer that you tried today?
00:53:19
Speaker
Don't say High Life. Yeah, High Life. Ha ha ha! really the coffee yeah the best word got the and stand by alright alright alright coffee makes sense I mean but like it wasn't as sweet shut up Mike the coffee asked you just kind of predicted it now I'm telling you to stop here's the thing it's like shut up Mike when you get coffee fresh in beer it's like that's the best thing it's the best yeah like do not age coffee beers you guys yeah
00:53:52
Speaker
and But, I mean, that's such a weird thing to say because, like, we've done... That is true. We've done some coffee beers that are years old. that ah It's fantastic. Some that have been great. yeah Yeah.
00:54:06
Speaker
It depends. Yeah. It's literally a gamble. But the standard should be drink coffee is fresh. Yeah. You don't think y'all want that green pepper. Okay. So, the biggest reason why...
00:54:20
Speaker
it And I don't know if you remember this. Part of the reason why people started aging barrel-aged beers was because of how hot, like, BCS would come off. Yeah.
00:54:31
Speaker
It's like it would have the alcohol burn. So you would get these fresh barrel-aged beers, and if you drink them fresh, they'd be too hot to drink and they wouldn't be enjoyable. Too hot to handle? Too cold to hold? and I don't know. you call the Ghostbusters because they're in control?
00:54:46
Speaker
No. Okay. benjamin I have no bustin' do. Wake him up! Wake him up! We gotta bust some ghosts! But, I feel like in the last five years, pretty much everyone who is making all these barrel-aged beers are making these barrel-aged beers with such body and sweetness and adjuncts and getting back to the point where you're actually getting the barrel character that you are supposed to drink them fresh because you...
00:55:16
Speaker
enjoy them as is right when they're made. But I think there is still this mentality of beer nerds that you age beer because you're like, oh, it's going to be better. And I think in the beer industry, we figured out how to make the beer enjoyable right when it's packaged. You shit on me for having a whole... Do you realize it's just because can't drink that?
00:55:44
Speaker
I have a whole cellar too. Hey, we had a we had the Rocky Road. I still do it. We had the Rocky Road Krampus walking up to day three of Riot Fest. We put it in coffee cups.
00:55:55
Speaker
How's it holding up? It was great. I used taste some marshmallow. That's good because that's the beer porn at Rare Beer Fest. Really? That's awesome. Yeah, it tastes you great. but Yeah. Very good. I literally, I brought a can. I was like, and we had like, you know, the paper coffee cups, filled them up.
00:56:11
Speaker
That's what we drank. Walk it up Finished it by the time we walked in there. oh yeah. It was a good 20-minute walk. 30 seconds just about. I could have. But I guess my whole point was you should just enjoy the beers that you get now.
00:56:24
Speaker
Yeah. Like, if you can, there's no reason to put it off. That's a great idea, Matthew. Let's go enjoy all my beers right now. That sounds like a great idea so we can all... Let's keep this... The final episode. We can go. the final liels episode. Pull all rev beers that you've got in there right now. It's the final boss.
00:56:43
Speaker
