The 8U Arlington Tigers are progressing along nicely. We got our first full pads practice on Thursday. So I think we got a lot of promise, man. We got a young team. We don't got a lot of crazy size, but I think we got some solid athletes. And I think i don't think they're going to shy away from contact once we start hitting. So.

So this week we've had Will Levis undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery. i don't know what the Titans are going to do without him, honestly. I mean, I don't think he would have been a horrible backup option, man. He's got ah you know a decent amount of experience out these two years. i don't know what we're doing for for backups now. um But yeah, weird timing, man. I don't know.

There still hasn't really been any details. It seemed like the Titans got no hard feelings about it. So i don't know if this is something that they knew was lingering. Well, you're probably good to go ahead and and shut it down for this season and go and have that surgery. But I don't know. It definitely seems kind of weird. I don't know this is some sort of like face saving move for him. If they if he knows that he's definitely not starting now, maybe that's why he wanted to go ahead and do the surgery. But it's just weird. A couple of days before training camp to out of nowhere, have a a season ending shoulder surgery.

We'll start with the Niners six and 11 last year coming off a, uh, obviously excellent 12 and five season the year before where they damn near won the Superbowl, took the chiefs to overtime two and six and one score games are 40th on offense, 14th on offense, but the defense really bottomed out, man, to, uh, to 30th. It was last season success. Obviously not, man. Last season felt like, you know, there's always Superbowl hangover with the team that comes up short.

Um, Paid Brock Purdy. He got he got the huge deal. we were very interested to see what they were going to do with his contract situation, but he he he secured the bag. Got rid of Debo. It felt like I think he's going to be solid for the commanders, but it definitely felt like the Debo, Samuel, Eric kind of run its course but in San Francisco. Yeah, I agree. And I just feel like they were just so far apart at the end of it last year. You could just tell he didn't want to be there anymore, and I don't think they really wanted him there.

Lost some players on defense as well. Dre Greenlogon, Traverius Ward lost to free agency as well. They did draft Michael Williams out of Georgia. Christian McCaffrey, you know, yeah you got to believe as hard as that guy works, he should be back to 100% this year. But, you know, he's had an injury-riddled career, man. hey I feel like there's definitely been more years where he ends up, ah you know – missing more games than than he plays, it seems like, especially here down stretch. And he's been such a workhorse for them the last since since he came over to San Francisco, man. So um I think a lot of stuff's up in the air. I definitely don't see them being a Super Bowl contender.

But for the longest, wide receiver was a position where you really had to develop. It was usually you know year two, year three before we'd really see wide receivers break out. And maybe Marvin Harrison, for whatever reason, is one that's just taken a little bit longer
