Podcast Introduction

00:00:02
Speaker
It is... The Fantasy Europeans. My name is Jared Dyke. I wanted to say it's stupid and let's move on, but then you kept going. I'm Ben Glauser. I don't like any way anybody gambled that. Collusion! Collusion!

Fantasy Rugby World Overview

00:00:26
Speaker
Hello, everybody. It is the fancy corner of the fancy rugby. Thanks. My name is Jared Dyke. I'm Ben Glauser. As I said, it's fancy corner time. Let's talk.
00:00:35
Speaker
Big happenings going on in the fantasy world. Obviously this is our first week of recommendations and all that good stuff. Um, but first, before we get to it, um, we need one more. Poor salt to jump into the championings league because it's going to, we've got

Champions League Participants

00:00:53
Speaker
enough. We, we needed to, but we've actually since, um, solved one one. And, um, so our returners are Terry, John.
00:01:04
Speaker
Larry and Franco, and then our newcomers are Stuart, Luke,
00:01:10
Speaker
And Sophia. Yay. We have our first, we have our first representative for, for, for champion league. All right. I'm into it. That's great. So I'll always looking forward one more. We're going to pick the order night. Obviously we'll have a stand in spot for whoever else joins in as well, but that's what, but we'll pick that in the second. Just one moment.
00:01:34
Speaker
But yeah, so this is for promotion and relegation too. So if you want to get into the cool kids club with the top tier, this is how you get in. You got to go through this route. Who knows, one day we'll have enough interest that we get more than two. But for now, we're just going to spin the ride with two. Right. Two is pretty decent. Two is pretty good.
00:01:59
Speaker
Two's pretty good.

Commitment in Fantasy Rugby

00:02:01
Speaker
Not to say that others won't be wanting to join later on, but right now they're probably not able to do it yet. Yeah. It is commitment as some have learned after asking about it. Yeah. Oh yeah. Definitely. Like you cannot, you cannot mess about with this at all.
00:02:19
Speaker
All right. Yeah. So as you're getting just so many areas and so many teams, yeah, it's, it's, yeah. Yeah. I mean, thankfully for the most part until, until super kicks in and six nations kicks, it kicks in. You only have one at a time. Right. In terms of competitions or, or yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Usually I only have one, but one six nations and super kicks in. Then it gets a little hectic that month of March is in February and March gets pretty wild. It does. All right. So we're doing.

Champions Division Two Draft Order

00:02:51
Speaker
We're going to do champions division two draft order and pick number first. Let's see what I got here. Come on. We can do it. It is four, four, four. Where'd my marker go? So with that, we need somebody to take the fourth pick. Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo. And.
00:03:21
Speaker
Number four will be Franco Franco. I'm not sure he's at that persuasion. Yeah. All right. And next we have do, do, do, do, do. Hold on. Right up. And.
00:03:48
Speaker
Six. Six. So whoever this is, whoever this is, will be in the same conference as Franco. Godspeed. And we got... Ah. John. John. Godspeed.
00:04:12
Speaker
Yeah, nice division with John and Franco. No, no, no worries.

Competition Levels in Divisions

00:04:16
Speaker
Yeah. You got no. Yeah, you got no competition there. You got no competition there. Oh, there's no, there's nowhere to hide in any of this. There usually isn't. There really usually isn't. All right. Next pick will be eight. Okay. Going with this. Going with the steam here. So.
00:04:40
Speaker
There are odd numbers in here, I swear. Two people fell out. Guess we're gonna grab one of them. Put one back. Looks like it's one of the newbies. I can't read my own damn writing. Open it up. There we go. Do it. Do it. And really eight is like a nice spot because
00:05:06
Speaker
I have, yeah. Yeah. There's definitely advantages to picking eight. I got in our keeper league, I got Earl and Joe Simmons on the turn. And I'm like, getting a fly half that I don't have to worry about. And it's a loose forward is just going to rake that will play every match too. Yes, please. Yes. Yes. Yes. I was like, ah, there we are. I found a nod. Ah, one. One first overall. First overall. Yeah. So those turns either, you know, one,
00:05:36
Speaker
One's kind of nice. It's the same thing, except you have to wait forever after your first pick. After your first pick. Yeah, it's been, yes. After that, the turn, the turn is nice. It's so nice to be able to just go pick two people back to back. Oh, I don't think I mentioned this guy's name as a returner, but I should have. Terry. Terry, you did mention Terry. Good. All right. Make sure I didn't do it. Didn't miss him. It felt very bad.
00:06:02
Speaker
Our good friend Terry picks first overall and thanks for our night. Doo-doo-doo-doo. I'm glad he's returning. Yeah, same. He's my number one. Good people. No. You like good people. Yeah. All right. Next. Only one even left now, at least. Done picking those damn things. Doo-doo-doo-doo.

Draft Strategy Insights

00:06:27
Speaker
We have, oh, there's the other, there's the other. These poor, this poor sap is going to be in one with the newbie and then John and Franco. So Stuart, the new guy, John Franco and. Ah, I think we have another newbie. I say newbie only because they're new to the league. They're not necessarily newbie to Francie.
00:06:56
Speaker
Luke yep new guy yeah.
00:07:03
Speaker
There we go. I think for me, the worst position I don't like, the position I don't like is like four or five right in that neighborhood. It's like, oh, like you and I had that for division one. There was just like, bleh. There was just, yeah. There was bleh. Right. You get the, you don't get the top tier, you get the second tier, so then you got to take guys a little bit early. You know, I don't know. Yeah, it's annoying. Yeah, it's annoying.
00:07:30
Speaker
This pick will be number seven. So everybody that's picked from here out will be in, uh, a conference with Terry as well. So Terry's going to be in with, um, Sophia player to be in later and, um, Larry, I think. Yeah. Sophia, Sophia at seven, seven. All right. All right. All right.
00:08:00
Speaker
That is like, yeah, seven and two are the places where it's like you get to snipe the person who's looking to make two picks. Cause probably they're looking at least, you know, they're probably one of them. They're looking at what you want. So, but then at the same time, you're kind of hoping you have to pray that it comes around the bounce. Right. Um, you know, your second pick. Three, three, three. So it's either going to be a manager to be named later or Larry. And then.
00:08:30
Speaker
who will upload the other ones. I like that our experienced players are evenly split. Larry. It means five is the player to be named later. Yep. The TBD is five. And there we are. So we have we have so Champions Division two draft tomorrow night will be Terry, Luke, Larry, Franco, player to be named later, John, Sophia and Stewart.
00:08:58
Speaker
Terry Larry Terry Larry I'm glad to be named later and Sophia will be in one conference The other one will be Luke Franco John and Stewart
00:09:11
Speaker
So that's that. So good luck to everybody tomorrow night. Yeah, I can't. I can't watch the draft, but we can see the results. So it'll be very interesting to see how that comes up on Monday morning. Right. So while you heard us make fun of each other, you can't hear us make fun of you in live. We'll just. Larry, what were you thinking there in the seventh round? I mean, seriously.
00:09:39
Speaker
12 hours ago. What were you thinking? Why did you do? I don't know. I forgot what I was thinking at that point. It's my response at least. That's not nearly as fun.

Start/Sit Recommendations

00:09:52
Speaker
No, not really at all. All right.
00:09:57
Speaker
is that magical time where we get to do start sits, it's starts in six of the week. It's going to be so much fun. Um, I'm kicking us off. We're going to start on Friday night with Bristol and bath. Um, so for the Bristolians, the man, the myth, legend, AJ McGinty, highly rated, highly picked in many drafts with all the weapons that Bristol have ended playing style. If he's starting, you are playing him hands down without a question. If it's a question in your brain,
00:10:26
Speaker
you need to be tested. Um, also crystal front row rumor has it that the Rhino will be unleashed in week one, um, by his own request at that. So that's a lot right there. Um, I would say if that is the fact in case they'll be the number one ranking, which I'm going to try and put out, um, tomorrow, but then I'll put out, uh, game day ones as well. Um, but yeah, if that's the case, yeah, that's, that, that, that, that, that's a, that's a no brainer right there. Um,
00:10:54
Speaker
For the other side of the coin, you and Lloyd now listen as a midfielder. If he is, in fact, playing there, be very cautious because as talented as he is, it gets a little bit rough in the midfield and you could see him leave early because sorry, he's just not big. So the facts are he might break a little bit. So just keep your eyes on that and consider other options. You don't have to go with other options, but just consider them for the bat for the batman will near.
00:11:23
Speaker
If this game is in fact as open as we think it will be, how Bristol like to play and Bath can match Bristol in any way, shape or form. He is definitely one that spans the stance of benefit. He has the capability to turn nothing into something very magical sometimes. So yes, start well, Muir. He was definitely one of those higher OBs taken. You can't screw around with that.
00:11:43
Speaker
Um, also that front row, not talked about enough, but even by us, but as we mentioned on the previous pod, well, Stuart Benno Abano, the lights, um, now on that now filling in over there along one with Tom Dunn should mix for some good stuff. Um, company like that. This is a decent play for front row, especially for one that wasn't on everybody's like top end radar.
00:12:07
Speaker
You might grab Saracen's front row. Great front row right now. Not this week because they're not playing. So that's not a bad option right there. Ben Spencer. Other side of the coin here. I think Harry Randall has a point to prove and that's that he can get it done on both sides of the ball while he plays.
00:12:26
Speaker
With that, I think he is going to be a gigantic pain in the ass to Ben Spencer. So I wouldn't be put too many eggs into that basket. If you drafted it as you're starting nine, you're probably playing them. Cause as we've said in week one, you don't get too cute, but I just temporary expectations at least. So that's my thoughts. But if, but also if you've drafted Ben Spencer, you've, you've kind of missed out on some other point scores. So it's not really like a priority.
00:12:52
Speaker
If he's your starter, like you see that you guys on break, you know, or something else. I don't know how much he hasn't been running to enough lately. Anyway, onto sale versus Northampton.
00:13:10
Speaker
You know, as we sail our forward heavy, without a fly half the backs are looking kind of yikes. On the other side, Saints have like points available pretty much everywhere. Even against a team like sail, whose defense is rock solid. But again, a lot of that changed when they had a 10 versus when they didn't. In other words, when AGO is playing, their defense was ridiculous. When the DJ wasn't playing,
00:13:37
Speaker
It's problematic and so they're going to be with without AJ or an AJ replacement really so expect to Robert Japria can't expect anything at this point. So, for the sale front, their front rows a solid start. The hookers will play well bevin rod will will run to get his points.
00:13:58
Speaker
In the locks, Jean-Luc Dupriรฉ and Johnny Hill could be decent. Johnny Hill is going to be hit or miss, but when he hits, he's going to hit really well. Because if they use him in the, you know, if he gets the big thundering, battering ram in the loose, he's going to be ridiculous. And they could do that with, you know, Jean-Luc Dupriรฉ and Dan Dupriรฉ, likewise smashing holes in the defense. He could get behind them.
00:14:22
Speaker
Outside of there, look for Corky into a laggy. Maybe take a flyer on Robuck because he's listed as a midfielder. Otherwise, until they get a fly half, it's a gamble on the sail front and with the backs. For the Saints, front row is kind of the same as sail in that they have a good stable of hookers that'll score your points and maybe one or two props that'll contribute something to your point totals. Locks are kind of interesting because Dave Ribbons is a good play.
00:14:51
Speaker
There's not many that are, that I would say that about probably like one per team. So like you have John Luke Dupree, like is the size is the play on sale ribbons is the play on saints. Um, the loose forwards are kind of hard to know at the moment because you have your honor Augustus, but his score, his fantasy scoring is inconsistent. Um, and then if Hinkley comes in, if, if, if he kind of takes over that position, which I think is possible, um, Hinkley will score ridiculous. He did really well last year, um, in, in ways that I think would work well for, for FRD.
00:15:22
Speaker
Um, the backs are really where it's at with the saints. So, you know, Mitchell, Mitchell, bigger, um, kind of must starts, um, and the centers with hunting wall and then proctor and reserve potential. Like, yeah, they're, they're all going to be fine. They're all going to be full of running and they're going to be better than their counterparts. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Um, I have Exeter and Lester. Yeah.
00:15:49
Speaker
Yeah, on paper, this is not the prettiest match to watch. Right. I'm looking for fantasy points. No, but let's see if we can mind some. Yeah.
00:16:00
Speaker
For Exeter, Henry Slade, having not toured the summer, I expect Slade, and granted he got married and probably got himself a little shitfaced once in a while, as the one does. I expect Slade to have a bit of an extra punch to start the year at least. Mariah, they can get the ball to him. I think that's good. That spells good things and we'll pay dividends immediately. So start him. Simmons and Simmons, attorney-at-law, should also perform well. No reason to blink bat an eye on either one of them. They both, again, should be healthy.
00:16:30
Speaker
Give him a go. Other side of the coin, Soleimoni Kata never showed a ton during his super FRD days. I'm not sure the situation is all that much improved, so he... Yeah, he's starting out in the I need to see it first territory for me, so bench him. Right. Yeah, just not believing it right yet. It might make me a believer. Right. It's also Baxter's style of play. It's like it doesn't highlight what makes Kata good, so...
00:17:00
Speaker
Not great. That's problematic. For Lester, Freddie Burns, the finals hero for the Tigers is likely to start in the 10th shirt, assuming he's got the tee, have no fear, he'll kick his goals and serve well for those needing our placement for Pollard or anybody that might be on by or out for this week.
00:17:18
Speaker
You mentioned Leibenberg in the earlier pod. I think, um, this is one of those games he'll actually start perform well because he performs well when he plays number eight. Jasper is away right now. So he's probably getting the number eight shirt. Um, but they're smart at least. Um, like I said, when he's played there, he's performed well. So give him a start if you have him. Um, I would agree with that.
00:17:36
Speaker
Old man, Jimmy, Jimmy, if he, the ageless wonder starts, the only reason he could be valuable is his goal kicking and you'll need the tigers to do a lot of that. Other than that, he's not very valuable otherwise.
00:17:51
Speaker
Yeah. If you have to, like a lot of people who had their hand forced to like, fuck, I'll take him and might be forced to play in week one because you have Tompkins or Lozowski or something like that, um, on the series or on by, or maybe a Martian who's going to probably miss this, these first couple of weeks. Cause he was away away with England this summer, whatever the case may be. Right. You know, not your first choice. Nope. So just deep breath. Yeah. I'd consider looking at the waiver wire though. Yeah.

Sale vs Northampton Analysis

00:18:20
Speaker
Speaking of waiver wire London Irish versus Worcester. Yeah, whatever. Just go with it. London Irish are solid kind of all down the line Worcester are kind of the opposite they have their spots and that's really, yeah, for the Irish start the front row because that's their
00:18:42
Speaker
If they're tackling machines, and they're try scoring machines in the hookers, and their props just run with the ball so they do the things that get your fantasy points. And especially for comp like frd which has treats the front row all as one. That's all of them combined, like, yeah, yes, please.
00:19:03
Speaker
Really, other than that, though, in the forwards, Pearson's the only must start, unless Basham is playing, in which case, those are both people you want on your teams. If you got someone who's not of their caliber, drop them and pick them up. As I said, Ben White is underrated at scrum half. I used to play him in TRM as my backup when he was a backup, and he would still score just as well. And it's not, you know, you're not getting points there for your defense, exactly. It's really for what you're doing in an attack, and that's,
00:19:33
Speaker
FRD is much more attacking based. So yeah, Ben White will get his meters run and line breaks and whatnot. So good place to be there. The centers, BJVR and Rona, yes. And then the back three. Whoever, you have four back there. Ollie has two columns, Ben Loder, Tom Pardon, Arendelle. And that's before you can get to Roe and Cinti. Whoever's there, just run them.
00:20:00
Speaker
for the Worcester Warriors, the kind of big bucket of yuck in the forwards. Batley and Hill are really the only forwards you want from that team. And Batley, I'm not sure about an FRD.
00:20:11
Speaker
Um, I know he played well in TRM, but I don't know how that will translate, but he did run a lot. So I think that'll be helpful there. He's a lot, right? Yeah. Okay. So that might be okay. That's one of those, right. You throw him in there, see what he does. He's worth starting this week just to see as, as a, and maybe hold it and trying for, you know, a couple of weeks run, um, outside of him and Ted Hill, I wouldn't, I wouldn't bother.
00:20:34
Speaker
Gareth Simpson and Finn Smith are quality options on a shit team. So don't discount them just because they're on a team that won't play well, they'll get their points. And the centers, as you mentioned on the last pod, on the rugby portion of the pod, Lawrence, Venter, Morris, yeah, they could all, all of them go off. And who did I miss there? There was the fourth one that you'd like to back. All of them, whoever's starting, go ahead and don't worry about it. Like if you have like a,
00:21:03
Speaker
a week like me if you need a waiver guy. Any of those four are fine. I personally like how they said he scores tries when he plays. Yuhan and Huard are kind of rolling the dice. They could go off or they could get shut out because it's western. Right. Yep. All right. I'm going to the tune. Newcastle and Quinn's for the Falcons. Adam Radwin.
00:21:32
Speaker
This is another one of those guys that a lot of people spent early picks on. Don't get cute, week one, start him. He's definitely one of them. He probably won't be your lineup as long as he's healthy. We would talk about one-off locks and guys that are one on your team. Sean Robinson won a few locks that might be worth rostering for the majority of the season. Anything above six, seven points from that position is a win. I think he'll get there this week. So go ahead and give that a thumbs up.
00:22:00
Speaker
Brett Conant, I'm really not sure what value he's going to bring to FRT. There's likely another option for you out there. So I'd search for it if I were you. Go find Will Edwards tomorrow. Actually, I think Edwards is no B on this, which sucks. But Tommaso Allen, if he's available, that'd be another one to look at.
00:22:23
Speaker
Speaking of for the Queens Luke Northmore highly likely we see mr. Northmore this weekend with certain people missing and every time he plays usually comes up with the goods So I see nothing different for him this week. Give him a go especially with both Matthias is away Exactly. Yeah, it's supposed to be they talked about them in the lab in the pod, you know making good decisions there that's gonna be rough without them right and then
00:22:50
Speaker
So we have also a Murley line of green. Pick any of them. The points should be spread fine. If you have one of them, you're playing them. End of story. So give that a shot. I do and I will. Yeah.
00:23:05
Speaker
So Geltama or steel, there's going to probably be no care, we think, due to the enforced rest stuff that's going on with the England players. I'm not entirely sure what these two guys brings. So I'm going to go with the safe route and bench them and find someone else. Garris Simpson, like Ben had mentioned, is a good option. But yeah, likes of that is probably going to do you better than these two, I think. Although I think Geltama showed enough last year that that he might be worth a shout as a, you know, if someone else speaks you to
00:23:35
Speaker
Um, you know, like Gav Simpson, if he's sitting there, I would, I mean, certainly not a bad, I mean, definitely bad. He's on a good team to, to take a flyer on. Right. That's the thing. It's a good team. So maybe he comes up with, you know, a try assist here or there. Yeah. Or a sneaky scrum have try. Yeah. Little snipe.
00:23:58
Speaker
No snips, Delly. Oh, around to Gloucester wasps. Yes, we are. All right. Last match. Yeah, we're getting there. For Gloucester, start the front row. The hookers plus Valra Palva Ruskin and Jamal Ford Robinson, as we saw with that amazing try at the end of last year, they can go off.
00:24:18
Speaker
Uh, against Beth and the, you know, that was a tight match, but, but he came up with that huge try. Uh, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Um, Freddie Clark, uh, you know, we've talked about locks. This is.
00:24:30
Speaker
another lot, this guy you want on your team. Like he's a fine frontline starter. Um, Alemano, not so much. He's not as reliable. Um, so I, I kind of, he also might be away. Right. That too. Um, take pleasure when he's healthy. Yes. Jordy Reed, Louis Ludlow, um, in that order and, oh, and then Ackerman, um,
00:24:51
Speaker
will be around there too, but he's kind of like a feeder shark or whatever those things are that swim off the sharks. If someone else is having a day, he'll contribute to that. He had a couple of
00:25:07
Speaker
amazing individual performances last year. So I'm not trying to take away from it, but that's inconsistent. Usually he's doing, when he scores, it's because someone else like put him away or something. It's not like he's making the points all just by himself. He needs some assistance. Too sweet, no, stay away from him. He's a plotter, doesn't score fantasy points. And then just all the backs who are full-time starters, certainly like 12 trees, Seabrook, May, no, no, don't bother. Everyone else is a full go.
00:25:34
Speaker
Um, on the other side, wasps front row is just a beast, especially if all gray is playing in the back row. Um, that's yes, you want them as your, as I'm very happy to have them in both of my, so yeah. Um, worth taking around early and you're starting them with their, when they're playing, uh, Stuke is kind of, he's the, he's the option for wasps right now at lock.
00:26:00
Speaker
But I'm not sure he's the best option. Look elsewhere. He'll go off, but I don't know. He played really well last year, but I kind of want to see it this year too. Stick with the Willis's, Barbary options in the back row. Shields is a maybe, and Carr is a stay away. Not that they're bad players. It's, again, it's about points, not about who you really like. Like Launchbury. We all love Launchbury.
00:26:27
Speaker
shit fantasy rugby player. For fantasy purposes, it's poo. Right. So, you know, we're not, you know, this is not just about not just designism card, Brad Shields, they just are consistent with their fantasy points. Start any of the scrum halves, even if they're on the bench, like if if Robson is on the bench and you don't have any other option, you know, some of the other guys that we were just talking about have been got to
00:26:53
Speaker
You might want to play Robson because he could do more in 20 minutes than some of these other scrum has to in 80. And then after that gets dicey because it's just blind up dependent for wasps and it could get ugly. Yeah. Good, good, good.

Fantasy Rugby Advice & Season Wrap-up

00:27:08
Speaker
All right. Start of the week. For me,
00:27:15
Speaker
My guy's opponents were one of the worst last year in fantasy. And I think it still translates despite the format change. Um, I think he's going to be a sneaky pickup for many in drafts or off waiver wire. And I'm excited to see what he does. Um, with a full-time gig, he's going to be given a likely. Um, so my start of the week for week, one of the prime is exiles. Number nine, Ben white.
00:27:34
Speaker
I like it. That's a quality play, especially against, uh, against blister. Yeah. Um, oddly enough, that's, that's kind of my, I'm sticking with that position just against a different competition. Um, and Andy yearn really came on towards the end of last year and he's going to start this week, I assume. Um, so, and against bath.
00:28:01
Speaker
I think he's, yeah, cause Randall's going to be on, on mandatory break or did he get off of it? I don't think, was he? I know you mentioned Randall, but I thought he did. Maybe he didn't care. Bamport, who else? Fuck it either way. It's one of, I, I picked urine because I thought Randall would not be available. But if he is, if he is, it's Randall. So let's just say Randall. Yeah.
00:28:25

I'll double check that just one second. Yeah. I, I just assumed. Yeah. I mean, you might've been onto something with that, but I just don't remember what the, who the nines were. And I'm starting to fricking lose it. Don't you remember? It was DC vent portly and. Damn it. I'm trying to remember. I thought it was Randall.
00:28:53
Speaker
I, yeah, it might've been and it might be escaping me. There we go. Squad for Australia tour. Nobody cares.
00:29:20
Speaker
Goodbye. All right, there we go. Let's see.
00:29:30
Speaker
Yes, he didn't or OK, so maybe he's on this. OK, so I'm going to go with here and then. Yep, he did tour. OK, well, I got then. Oops. Oh, well, I made my first mistake or 10. That's right. Just really literally substitute any year and for everything you said about Harry Reynolds. Yeah, no, right. Not not far. All right. All right. So we have six.
00:29:54
Speaker
City of the week. Literally, mine has nothing to do with Harry Randall. City of the week. I spoke to this player before, and I'll be okay to be proven wrong about him, but he's not shown a ton in this format, especially, and he's going against one of the strongest fantasy defenses from last year. Again, I still think it translates to this format. So my city of the week for week one of the prem is Chief's new boy, Salomoni Kata. Okay, there. And my city of the week is I went to a position where
00:30:25
Speaker
There's a limited number of starters available. Um, so kind of outset is going with a fly half. And that's a position where if you need to make a good choice and there's, there's plenty of good choices available, this is, this is a bad choice. Uh, don't play Robert Dupriya again. Um, and even, and this has taken into account the fact that Northampton are traditionally poor against tens. Um, I don't think Dupriya is good in both formats. I don't think Dupriya is going to change that. Yeah.
00:30:55
Speaker
any format at this point. Right. Yeah. And in both formats for which we have data, only one format in which we are applying. Yeah, true. All right. And then the painting of the them. Pick them. All right. Bristol Bath at home. Bristol. Yeah, Bristol. Sale in Northampton. So it's a beautiful day up in Salford. I'm going to take Northampton.
00:31:25
Speaker
Exeter and Lester at Sandy Park. I'm tempted to take the Chiefs. I'm taking the chefs at Sandy Park. Yeah, that's fine. That being a big over rider right there. Right. And the fans. Yeah. And with all the Lester players being away. Yeah, that's unhelpful for them. Right. Agreed.
00:31:45
Speaker
Um, London Irish Worcester. Sorry, Worcester. I will root the hell out of it if Worcester come out firing, but, um, yeah, don't think that's going to happen. Unfortunately, uh, Newcastle wins. Of course, we always want Voldemort to lose. So definitely take his head off. Oh, sorry. Newcastle twins. They start the year up there last year too. Am I making that out of my brain?
00:32:13
Speaker
That's weird enough that I'll go with it because I don't know. I wouldn't I. I'd fuck if I remember. Yeah. Anyway, and Gloucester and Woss at King's Home. I will take the lost room and especially at King's Home on the opening again. Yeah. That being the big one for me. Right. I feel like Gloucester have more right now. And this kind of goes to the same thing as with Worcester and Leicester.
00:32:39
Speaker
Gloucester have more of a, I feel like they know what they want their identity to be. Like wasps are still, they're going to have to sort it out over the first few weeks. Like is it Lester and Worcester are kind of the same boat and sale. So it's like, yeah, it's like the teams that are still trying to figure out their identity versus the teams that know exactly what they want to be. Right. Actually across the board. So yeah, I went with, I think we went with the teams that know what they want and have their goals.
00:33:09
Speaker
Yeah, I think so too. I think so too. All right, well, opening weekend, here we are. Yeah, I mean, if I'm wrong about all of them, then hang on to your seats, kids. Or any of them. Yeah, I mean, any of them, you know, like, yeah, Lester could win, but yeah, probably not. Sal could win if they really fuck things up, but I doubt him.
00:33:32
Speaker
Great on that. All right. Cool. So that is your first recos of the year of the season. Um, it is good to be back on the prem FRD. I will say I had a slight bit of FOMO last year without it. We eventually got back to FRD, but yeah, I'm really glad that we have it for this too. Cause this is a very fun format. Yes, it is. And I look forward to it every, every year. Um, who, who are you playing this week?
00:34:03
Speaker
Oh, yeah playing champions. Let's look. Let's look at that always say bye to everybody I have Duncan
00:34:13
Speaker
That sounds right. I think I have Justin. Let's see. So it is Ben and Justin. It is George and Duncan. I knew we talked about that on Sunday. Myself and Carrick, and it'll be Cobus and Mark. It looks like Justin's team. He's got a bunch of salaries.
00:34:37
Speaker
Some players who might end like Marcus Smith. So guys who won't be playing. I'm sure he's got a plan. Oh, I'm sure he does, too. I'm just this is a good way to be playing. It's all going to be anything like George, who likes to bring all of us guys out and only Adam in as as he sees fit. That's true. There's also that possibility as well. Not a bad strategy. It's just not one that I think I would trust because I'd forget to fucking put somebody in there. I would definitely forget. So I don't need to be doing none of that shit.
00:35:07
Speaker
But yeah, so good weekend to be back, watch all the prem, enjoy the fantasy, tell your friends about it, all that good stuff. If you know somebody that works at Flow Sports, kick them in the ass for me. But other than that, we appreciate everybody that listens to us, that reads our stuff and all that good. And we really, really do.

Everybody that joins our leagues where, you know, I know we had a league drafted earlier today. Thank you everybody that just does what you can with us and we appreciate it all the time. We will be back next week as usual and we will recap everything and hopefully we can start putting some data points in here and start giving you all some extra bits of information. Until then, enjoy the Rutgers and we'll catch you all next week. Have a good one.
