Introduction and Match Celebration

00:00:09
officialgspn
Hello and welcome back to the Daily Manchester United Podcast. My name is Kieran McGinley. That voiceover there is Mr. Niall Hannigan. And we're here to celebrate three points against the mighty Southampton.
00:00:23
officialgspn
It was a real six-pointer, but we did it.
00:00:23
Niall
we
00:00:26
officialgspn
We did it, Niall. Three goals, more than one goal scored in a match, a clean sheet. ah Amazing. I mean, 60 minutes, it was amazing. For another 30, we'll get on to later, not so good.
00:00:37
officialgspn
but three points three goals but we're not bad we're not the two disclaimer we are not back
00:00:41
Niall
We're back, baby. We are back. yeah

Live Tweeting and Early Match Struggles

00:00:46
Niall
we are so back anyway yeah and good to get another three points i suppose but yeah as you touched on those first 30 minutes were absolutely horrendous um i think i was uh i was live tweeting on the the daily man united twitter on Saturday because you know I had nothing else better to be doing than watching the game and also live tweeting on it and yeah it was I suppose it'd be nice if somebody just followed the page but yeah it was absolutely abysmal.
00:00:50
officialgspn
oh dear
00:01:11
officialgspn
It's also our job, isn't it, at some point.
00:01:17
officialgspn
Yeah. Yeah.
00:01:21
Niall
It just looked like we were completely lost on the pitch. um I mean, Southampton, a team that's just got promoted, have been kicking a few balls in their own net recently, and we decided not to press them. It was just an interesting one, um and just looked like the the newly promoted side but was united.

Onana's Crucial Penalty Save

00:01:38
Niall
until Onana, the savior, and which I never thought I'd be saying.
00:01:40
officialgspn
yeah
00:01:42
Niall
But yeah, great save from the penalty. So that kind of kicked off the the master and the united perspective and kind of went from from strength to strength from there.
00:01:52
officialgspn
Yeah, absolutely. i mean it was there He made a save before the penalty as well, which I thought you know i thought he had a good game. Onana I think in the second half didn't have a lot to do, but certainly in that first 30 minutes when shots were coming in from all angles it seemed from Southampton, ah he made that save.
00:01:59
Niall
Definitely.
00:02:07
Niall
Mm hmm.
00:02:09
officialgspn
I want to say their youngster, who um the Southampton lads actually raised as someone to watch out for, which was Tyler Dibbling.
00:02:16
Niall
Great show.
00:02:16
officialgspn
I thought, yeah, he had a great, great game. Considering that was his first Premier League start, it looked like it was his sort of 50th game in the Premier League. Just took to it like a duck to water. ah you United might definitely be signing him for 95 million later down the line.
00:02:30
officialgspn
i so We'll see, we'll see. But Yeah, I thought he had a good start, but yeah you're right. The game completely changed when Onana saved that penalty. De Litt scoring his first goal for Manchester United, great

End of Goal Droughts for Key Players

00:02:42
officialgspn
to see.
00:02:42
Niall
Mm-hmm.
00:02:42
officialgspn
Rashford scoring his first goal, ah his first Premier League goal since I believe March.
00:02:47
Niall
Yeah, March.
00:02:48
officialgspn
It's certainly been 10 Premier League games and Garnaccio getting a first goal in 11 Premier League games. So, you know, these goals have come about where there's been a slight drought at Manchester United for some of the forwards, but the tide seems to be starting to turn a little bit.
00:03:02
Niall
Yeah, and I was delighted that it was those people that actually got the goals as well. De Ligt had come off a bit of a dodgy international, a couple of games for for the Netherlands last week, and was getting a bit of criticism. So it was really good for him to get on the score sheet. um And then, yeah, the Rashford one was absolutely huge. and it was was a bit of ah It wasn't the cleanest goal of all time. um And I think that sometimes it just needs to go in the back of the net. So I was really, really happy for him. He looked just completely relieved, more than more than actually excited or happy that he scored. So that was good to see. um But yeah, no I think hopefully the tide is turning a bit. But still, like I can't get over that first 30 minutes. like It really, really was bad. and like
00:03:47
Niall
it looked like the penalty save kind of woke them up a bit. But it's not that a lot changed. It nearly felt like Southampton sat back and were a bit shell shocked that they weren't 1-0 ahead because they had a couple of good chances. Like you said, O'Nana did well. And then you know you're thinking, Archer's going to put that penalty away.

Penalty Rules Discussion

00:04:04
Niall
I think I actually tweeted before the penalty went in. I was like, fully deserved 1-0, Southampton. And then quickly ran and deleted it again. I was like, oh, well done, O'Nana.
00:04:15
officialgspn
Yeah, had belief in you and Anna. Yeah, no, it's just been exposed himself there. How little faith you have, ye have little faith.
00:04:20
Niall
It's all about transparency here, all about transparency.
00:04:24
officialgspn
Yeah, yeah, whatever you say now, whatever, whatever helps you sleep at night. No, I think, you know, an honor getting that penalty saved. I don't think it think that's ah a penalty save he's had in a while, actually, which let's be let's face it, as soon as it's a penalty, the keeper's pretty much got no chance.
00:04:40
officialgspn
They're not allowed to move beyond the line. They're not allowed, well, they're trying to bring in rules to not allow the goalkeeper to make any distractions.
00:04:42
Niall
Yeah.
00:04:46
officialgspn
So, you know, there's it's less and less trying to help the goalkeeper out and trying to make it a penalty in the advantage of the attacker. So if they make the save, That's brilliant and I guess the right way as well.
00:04:57
officialgspn
So yeah, brilliant save off the bat. And yeah, that really sparked the sort of the the quick double. I thought Rashford, once he got that goal, he started to take on more chances.
00:05:03
Niall
100%.
00:05:07
officialgspn
He started to have a few more shots of goal.
00:05:08
Niall
Yeah.
00:05:09
officialgspn
You said. It was more of a relief rather than a goal celebration as to the fact that he actually hit the back of the net.
00:05:11
Niall
Mm-hmm.

Rashford's Goal Analysis

00:05:15
officialgspn
Yes, it wasn't the clean strike, but it was the skill to grab himself half a yard. And and that's a sort of that was a window into six, seven years ago, where he did the exact same thing. you know A little bit of skill, a little bit of flair to give himself half a yard.
00:05:27
officialgspn
And that's all you need to get the strike away. And yes, it wasn't the cleanest goal. But who cares? It fell on the back of the net. And for Rashford, he won't care either. Garnaccio as well. perfect ball from Dallow into the middle there for guys to hit that first time and Dallow yes he gave away the penalty he's really struggled in that first half but as an as an attacking fullback you know he he does have his he does have his moments and you know i won't have this slander against our player of the year last year
00:05:40
Niall
Yeah.
00:05:45
Niall
Oh, shocking. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
00:05:56
Niall
I know. Well, I think like the first half, like you mentioned, that young lad from Southampton, ah he was just a lovely footballer, like but you know the that kind of style where he had his socks and shin pads basically down around his ankles. like And he was just destroying Dallow on the left back, unfortunately.
00:06:12
Niall
um But yeah, once he kind of went to right back, looked way more comfortable in the second half. That Garnaccio goal, really, really good move. Brilliant ball by Casamiro into Dallo. And then the ball back then to Garnaccio.
00:06:24
Niall
So it was nice to see Casamiro getting some positive minutes as well after
00:06:28
officialgspn
Mm.

Second Half Confidence Boost

00:06:29
Niall
the bit of a shambles against Liverpool.
00:06:30
Niall
So that was really positive to see. um But yeah, I think In general, the team just decided to grow in confidence in the second half after those two goals and started to play with a bit more composure and a bit more confident in taking on passes and actually building up possession because it just wasn't there and in the first half. So let's see if they can bring that on to the next game, I suppose.
00:06:52
officialgspn
Yeah, absolutely. And a couple of ah substitutions as well, as shock horror delit subbed off for a possible injury concern.
00:07:00
Niall
Mm-hmm.
00:07:01
officialgspn
Here we go again. um But, you know you know, we'll take the good with the bad. We get three goals, we win a game, we get three points. um the The payment for that is one injury, please.
00:07:14
Niall
Yeah, yeah.
00:07:15
officialgspn
That just seems to be the way it get just the way it goes right now. All the injuries either happen.
00:07:18
Niall
Our back line.
00:07:19
officialgspn
yeah The injuries seem to occur at Carrington quite a lot. and Yeah, we'll we'll we'll see we'll see what ah what comes of it. Good to see Eriksen on the pitch though. Yeah, he had a good 15-minute run out and at that point it was it was good to see him ah back. i think he's um I wouldn't say he's critical to the side, but I would definitely say he's a good squad utility player and and able to be that deep-line playmaker when we need one.
00:07:47
Niall
Definitely. And i I was actually kind of happy to see him start because I was like, OK, well, in a game that we're going to, you think, have most of the ball and and dominate the game, you want as many ball players in the pitch and you don't need to kind of break her up, I suppose, which is kind of a guarantee. And we kind of saw that for the 10, 15 minutes he was on. but Yeah, I think he can play that role, but you at times it was it was very clear that men who needed legs beside him and they just weren't there and the two of them are are really good on the ball. But at times we we were getting caught out of midfield still. um Yeah, the injuries was
00:08:21
Niall
a disaster. I mean, that back four, I think Johnny Evans was left back, Maguire in the center half, and then Maguire was limping pretty badly at the end as well. So let's hope it's not too bad. Martinez obviously came off, don't know how bad that is. So yeah, we might end up with an interesting back four for the next game.
00:08:41
officialgspn
Casamira at Send Her Back, it's gonna happen again, isn't it? It's gonna happen
00:08:44
Niall
Could happen.

00:08:45

Back Zirkzee to score a goal in that game, he had a couple of good chances. The first one is especially that sort of sparked United into life after that half an hour. while It's just that, he just needed a little bit more of a solid touch on it and that's flying into the back of the net.
00:10:09
officialgspn
and yeah There was a chance as
00:10:09
Niall
Yeah.

Evaluation of Xerxes' Gameplay

00:10:11
officialgspn
well that it took takes a deflection and you just think that there was a goal for him in that game and is it bordering unlucky that he didn't score or was it just not his day today?
00:10:21
Niall
Yeah, ah Zirkzee's is an interesting one. I thought in terms of link up play, he was absolutely brilliant. like i've It's the first time I've really decided to kind of hone in on what he's bringing and and the type of player that he is. And we always say the 9.5, but it's starting to become clear and clear. And I saw that you mentioned on Thursday in the crossover episode that you know, it's clear that he is a 9.5 because his build-up play and his touch is excellent. um Some of the flicks around the corner for Bruno um and we had a a good chance in the first half and then kind of turning late to the box. I just don't know if he has that poacher mentality. I just don't think he's that type of striker and I don't know if that will ever come. I think you're right, he was unlucky with that first chance. I think there was a very late chance as well where Mainoo pulled it back for him and he kind of
00:11:08
Niall
a bit relaxed I think rather than actually trying to just bury the goal. He was a bit relaxed and got blocked down. But I think his overall play and the physicality of him as well is really positive. and I think it could really suit the Amad Garnacho Rashford kind of running in behind them and it might actually suit them more in terms of getting goals more than him.
00:11:28
Niall
um But yeah, it's just you nearly want a combination between Heulen and Xerxes because I think Heulen has more of that kind of killer instinct in front of goal, but Xerxes is a lot better in the build-up play and little flicks and bringing people into the game. so It's an interesting one because he's a good footballer, but I don't know if it's exactly what we need. um But yeah, i I do like him. But it's frustrating because you know you're looking at who's going to actually get us the goals. and And you can't really point to anyone. And you're just hoping that everyone can kind of share the load. And you look at every other big team, and it's not really like that.
00:12:03
officialgspn
Yeah, I think he spoke volumes when last season we had Bruno Fernandes and Hojland scoring 10 goals apiece in the Premier League. You know, joint scorers for Manchester United in the Premier League was 10 goals. So, yeah, a little bit concerning on that front. I do think, you know, if there's more goals across the front three, that's not necessarily a bad thing. If they all get sort of 15 goals a season, then It's not the end of the world.
00:12:28
officialgspn
We're still putting 45 goals in the back of the net. That's pretty much, I think, better than last season, which is a bit worrying. But I think it's getting there. I mean, well there'll be a deeper dive into Tactics Tuesday tomorrow.
00:12:40
officialgspn
But I think from from the face of it, you know ah it was a game we were expected to win. It was a game we were expected to perform well in. And I think for 60 minutes, that was entirely the case.
00:12:49
Niall
Yeah.
00:12:50
officialgspn
So the only The only thing that concerns me is that once again, we did not start a game well and against bigger teams like we saw against Liverpool.
00:12:56
Niall
Yeah.
00:13:00
officialgspn
Yes, they scored eight minutes and the goal got disallowed, but that could easily happen against a Palace, who are no slatches. That's our next game. And Mateta has found his shooting boots.
00:13:10
officialgspn
He's a very dangerous player. He's a very good forward. And yeah I had him in my fantasy team and I'm so glad I stuck with him. um
00:13:18
Niall
Oh look at you in the fantasy football here in debut season with Mateta.
00:13:20
officialgspn
yeah i Yeah. Look, I didn't put Harland in my squad. All right. I'm not willing to talk about it.
00:13:27
Niall
Flip that, flip that.
00:13:27
officialgspn
I am i am i am bottom of my i am i don't shut in you anyway and bottom of my friends league. Let's just leave it at that. Let's just say I won't be appearing on the fantasy football version here at the Global Sports Podcast Network.
00:13:40
officialgspn
I don't think I'm qualified. That's by the by the by i think when it comes up against the top teams the elite teams we are gonna struggle because we do not start well and the top flight managers the world class managers are gonna see right through that and they can say look.
00:13:49
Niall
Yeah.
00:13:56
officialgspn
Press hard in the first twenty to thirty minutes make the mistakes because that's when the weakest.
00:14:02
Niall
Yeah, it's it's really it's really not good. i mean Looking at it, we had no plan in terms of how we were going to actually get out of our own half, I suppose, with the ball and progress the ball.
00:14:15
Niall
It's all off the cuff. It's all relying on a bit of individual brilliance. There's no set plays. There's no kind of cohesion to what they're doing.
00:14:26
Niall
it really it really is like trying things and hoping for the best and relying on individual brilliance and I think that's what kind of plays into the inconsistency with the team because you see some games that they've been really effective or even for certain periods of time within a game they can be really effective but then other times just be really really poor and you're dead right I mean a better team would have would have put two or three pass them in the first 30 minutes and that's it game over And yeah, so it's probably Southampton, probably relegation contenders. and And they looked like they were they were absolutely playing rings around us in the first 30 minutes. So it is really concerning. and It's a pattern. And yeah, I know Christian's done on this episode, but I think he was calling for a 10-high guard after about 20, 25 minutes. And be honest i to be honest, I didn't have a rebuttal for him.
00:15:14
officialgspn
ah Well, yeah, it's just what we were all saying was it needed to be a win and it needed to be a good performance and that's that, you know. Otherwise, we were going to start asking serious questions.
00:15:25
officialgspn
I think 3-0 was a fair result. I think when it comes to the first half an hour, we got away with it.
00:15:31
Niall
Mm-hmm.
00:15:32
officialgspn
All that matters was we put 3 past Southampton and they didn't score against us. That's another clean sheet as well. That's our second clean sheet of the season.

Recurring Issue with Poor Starts

00:15:39
officialgspn
So it's already looking in the right direction.
00:15:39
Niall
Mm-hmm.
00:15:42
officialgspn
And I was just trying to think now, I think we're off the top of my head, we're plus one goal difference, aren't we? Or are we slightly less than that?
00:15:49
Niall
Three, one.
00:15:49
officialgspn
I'm going to have to look now. I have to make sure my maths is right. It's probably not. But we do have six points.
00:15:57
Niall
Is it zero gold difference? is this I don't know.
00:15:59
officialgspn
I have to look now. I'm looking at all the tables and because our next match is a European match, we've it's all got like the Europa League. It's like, oh no. I stand by what I said now, by the way.
00:16:11
officialgspn
It is it is zero. Bang on zero. You're absolutely right.
00:16:13
Niall
Yeah, okay.
00:16:15
officialgspn
So, yeah, next league match against Palace.
00:16:15
Niall
Quick answer.
00:16:17
officialgspn
That should be an interesting one because, yeah, as I said, Mateta is now banging for him. He's got his shooting boots, two goals for him. A lot of players getting two goals going over there is slightly frightening when we come up against teams like Nottingham Forest, who managed to beat Liverpool 1-0.
00:16:34
Niall
yeah
00:16:34
officialgspn
As far as to be a dangerous side, and I think we're going to prove that time and time again this season, when we do face them, we have to be very careful.
00:16:41
Niall
Yeah. And I think Forest played that really well. I mean, they, they decided, right. Let's shut up shop for 60, 70 minutes against Liverpool here, not play any of our attack and flower players. And then when Liverpool decide that they have to go for it, then we'll throw on our players. And I mean, yeah, it was it tactically, it worked out brilliantly for them. Um, probably, probably good for us. Not even Forest will probably dominate against us and we'll catch them on the brakes. That could be, that could be a little reverse tactic for that game. Hopefully.
00:17:08
officialgspn
um I mean, is it, are we really going back to tactics from 50 years ago to try and beat Forest? of it I mean, yeah, if it if it works, I guess so, but it's not the tactics I really want to be using.
00:17:13
Niall
Yeah.
00:17:19
officialgspn
ah But there we
00:17:19
Niall
No.

Casemiro's Brief Appearance

00:17:20
officialgspn
go.
00:17:20
officialgspn
Yeah, guess so, as we said, Casa Vero did come on for a brief appearance, also a first appearance for Manuel Agate, who I think 10 Hogs realised that he is fit to play.
00:17:26
Niall
to
00:17:31
officialgspn
It's been a very few it's very very short few months because he managed to play for Uruguay for a good portion of match.
00:17:34
Niall
Yeah.
00:17:38
officialgspn
I think Sinhugg suddenly realised he might be fit to play.
00:17:41
Niall
Yeah, and I think um even even more so, I think he came back from South America on Thursday night and thought he was fit enough to play at 12.30 down in Southampton. So yeah, i think I think it's safe to say that he'll probably be starting in next game.
00:17:54
officialgspn
Yeah, I think so. We'll talk about the next game, which is the League Cup after this advert break. So we'll be back with a bit of a preview for that.
00:18:10

League Cup Match Preview

00:18:41
officialgspn
Next game on Tuesday then, which is the the League Cup, the Carabao Cup, we take on League One Barnsley going into this one at home. ah League Cup have always been a bit, I don't know, apathetic towards, I mean, if you get to the semi-final, it sort of turns into, oh no, now we have to really take this seriously now, don't we? We have to try and win this now. um But yeah, third round against Barnsley. I mean, there's probably gonna be a couple of youth team appearances for that.
00:19:10
officialgspn
I don't want to lose that match, but at the same time, when we're focusing on trying to get back into the Champions League, it's a competition we could do without until we reach the quarterfinals, and then we have to start second. I suppose we should actually try to win this Cup.
00:19:23
Niall
Yeah. Yeah. No fair shout. It'll be interesting to see what, what team he does play. Um, I'm just trying to think of lads that haven't really, haven't really featured so far this much.
00:19:32
officialgspn
Bayern did.
00:19:33
Niall
I'm sure Anthony will be getting a bit of a, bit of a run out at some stage.
00:19:35
officialgspn
Hmm.
00:19:37
Niall
So I'll stop.
00:19:37
officialgspn
If he scores, he's absolutely celebrated, isn't he? It's like, yeah, he will.
00:19:40
Niall
Yeah. And about five different celebrations in one.
00:19:42
officialgspn
Oh yeah, make up for lost time.
00:19:43
Niall
Um, I, he might, he might even cup the ear to the Barnsley fans. He seems to like to do that, the lower division teams like, so we'll see.
00:19:50
officialgspn
Give it the old, oh, who was it at Tottenham when they had Marine? Oh, I can't remember his name now. He scored like the sixth goal pass and decided to just do the Mbappe celebration. That's going on, I can't remember who that is. Do you not remember that?
00:20:02
Niall
Well, the Mbappe celebration with the with the thumbs up like that.
00:20:04
officialgspn
yeah with yeah Yeah, with the cross arms.
00:20:06
Niall
Is this this year or last year?
00:20:08
officialgspn
No, this was a few years ago now. This is when they took on Marine away. ah Marine made it to like the third round of the FA Cup and they drew Tottenham.
00:20:13
Niall
Oh.
00:20:15
Niall
I don't know, actually, I don't know.
00:20:16
officialgspn
It's during the COVID lockdowns. That's probably why we we don't remember it.
00:20:19
Niall
Who would that have been, one of their wingers or something?
00:20:21
officialgspn
No, a striker. He was a striker. Anyway, we're not here to talk about Tottenham. We're here to talk about Man United and prospects in the League Cup, even though that was quite a funny moment.
00:20:25
Niall
Yeah, fair.
00:20:29
officialgspn
I reckon like we could see Beyendir start. I think it's a a good competition for him to get minutes. He is the backup keeper at United. He doesn't get many opportunities to have minutes at the moment.
00:20:39
officialgspn
So the League Cup makes sense for him to to have a go, to have ah a chance there. could be ah well depending on sort of how the injuries go we could see returns coming in there still apparently we have short yoro mount all out molassia is missing in action at the moment it does say here that martinez has a knock so we'll go with that as we will
00:21:00
Niall
Yeah, no, he won't play.
00:21:02
officialgspn
Mazzraoui, Heiland, Lindelof, all doubts for the game, but I mean, we'll see.
00:21:06
Niall
It's Ravi as well.
00:21:08
officialgspn
Yeah, apparently so. Apparently it's a knock. So that's normally like 50 to 75% chance of playing. So take that with a pinch of salt, as you will.
00:21:15
Niall
Yeah.
00:21:17
officialgspn
But yeah, Barnsley on Tuesday, that is available on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. Two channels, amazing. And then obviously we've got Crystal Palace on Saturday as ah our last last league match before the Europa League. So away at Selhurst Park, a couple of trips on the road in the next coming Premier League games.
00:21:39
Niall
Yeah, um I suppose well we'll probably touch on the the preview for the Palace game later on in the week. But yeah, not a ah a great ground for us going off last year's results.
00:21:48
officialgspn
Hmm.
00:21:49
Niall
So hopefully Casimir can get his head right for that game. But yeah, I think It'll be interesting to see who gets who gets featured and in the Barnsley game. Hopefully your man Collier gets another run out after his kind of second half against Liverpool coming in. like I mean, talk about being put into the fire there for for your kind of main few minutes for United. He might get a run out. Evans will probably be there. Hopefully, Garte probably plays in the Tuesday just to get up to speed. I don't think we have too many other options.
00:22:19
Niall
um Yeah, I saw that ah young lad that we signed, the the guy that was born in 2006, the midfielder, has been added to the Premier League squad. But I don't know if he's if he's anywhere near playing.
00:22:19
officialgspn
No.
00:22:28
officialgspn
Hmm.
00:22:29
Niall
But a league cup tie is a game that he could feature in if he was going to play.
00:22:34
officialgspn
Yeah, and I'm pretty sure it's under 21s don't have to be registered anyway in the Premier League. So that might be why he's sort of in and around the squad there.
00:22:40
Niall
Oh, OK, OK.
00:22:42
officialgspn
So ah just to just to try and you know bring through the homegrown talent as the way it goes. But ah yeah, we'll see about that one, of course. um But yeah, full focus now on the League Cup.
00:22:54
officialgspn
It's one of those. it's It's kind of like the Community Shield at the start of a season. If you win it, great. you're You're getting through. If you don't win it, ah Yeah, it's alright.
00:23:03
Niall
that's
00:23:04
officialgspn
Yeah, it's just the League Cup, but really we don't want to be losing to Barnsley in League 1. For Barnsley, this is yeah barnsley for barnsey this is a great away day, this is going to be ah a huge occasion for them, and they're going to treat it like ah like it's a Cup Final, which rightfully they are, because it's it's a massive game for them and a massive chance to go through against a side that's hot and cold at the moment, which is us.
00:23:27
Niall
Yeah, that's us. and ah let's see Let's see how it goes. um It's all set up for a bit of ah a giant

Need for Future Wins

00:23:34
Niall
killing. It's in Old Trafford. It's on Sky, so let's let's see how it goes.
00:23:42
Niall
it It was very important that we needed to get back on track this weekend. um I think the negativity after the Liverpool game and then you know no game in two weeks can be can be a lot for playing on the player's minds and a bit of pressure on the manager as well. And even though it wasn't the best performances, sometimes you just need to get a victory. But a yeah, hopefully they can kick on. But I'm not filled filled with confidence after it. I think it was good that the guys that scored scored.
00:24:10
Niall
but Yeah, let's see how it goes. I'm sure that not many of them will feature against Barnsley and they'll be getting ready for Palace
00:24:17
officialgspn
Yeah, onwards to Barnsley and onwards to Selhurst Park for a couple of games. And before we know it, we'll have the Europa League game against FC 20. All to look forward to. Three different competitions in the next three games.
00:24:29
officialgspn
We'll be looking forward to it.

00:24:42
officialgspn
Yeah.
00:24:47
officialgspn
Look, look your emotions get the better of you sometimes and I still hold those sentiments. We'll see what happens towards the end of the season. If we get if we get European football, I might have to eat a hat that I'll buy, but there you go. Niall, it's been a pleasure and hopefully we get to more three points on the board and maybe ah a trip to the fourth round of the League Cup.
00:25:07
Niall
Exactly. Pleasure.
00:25:09
