always. Today, ladies and gentlemen, we have a fun one here for you. We're doing another mock draft for one round, first round NFL mock draft. We're doing it post-combine. I'm sure a lot of you guys tuned into the combine or at least saw what everybody ran and you know how everybody you know did in their agility tests and all that stuff. But before we get into that first-round NFL mock, we have a couple of you know housekeeping notes to get

Four players got franchise tagged this offseason. And all of them pretty big time fantasy assets as well. Kyle Pitts got tagged by the Atlanta Falcons, kind of expected. Brees Hall got tagged by the New York Jets, which I think is kind of dumb as, you know, someone who would if if I'm running the Jets franchise, I'm not franchise tagging and running back with how bad that team is. But Brees Hall got tagged. George Pickens got tagged by the Dallas Cowboys. Pretty expected. And Daniel Jones is officially transitioning. Oh, no, I'm sorry. He got the transition tax tag to him. So he is going to be probably retained by the Indianapolis Colts.

I think all that trend transition tag does is allow Daniel Jones to go into free agency and receive offers from other teams, but then the Colts then get an opportunity to match that contract.

yeah i mean well was gonna say not sound like a broken record but i would just echo what ninja said but just for the sake of being different i might say the daniel jones one is actually a better move than george pickens for the colts i know he's got the injury obviously you know that's gonna have to be dealt with but i think i don't know i i think daniel jones looked really good last year i think in that system. I think they could keep it going. and I think the Colts are going to be a good team for a couple of years.

David Montgomery Trade Impact

Yeah, completely agree. a few more housekeeping notes. David Montgomery got traded to the Houston Texans for a fourth, seventh, and offensive lineman Jush Shrugs, old Penn Stater. Great move for the Detroit Lions. Montgomery was on the last year of his contract, and they get some draft capital plus an offensive lineman to throw into the mix.

I'm assuming Titus Howard is now going to start as their right tackle. So that'll probably affect the NFL first round mock draft. We do with the Browns later on today.

But I think this is a good move for the Browns. Titus Howard isn't great, but he's definitely a startable right tackle for them. And, you know, they had no one to play there. So this is definitely good. And then for the Texans, what are we doing?

That's a problem. A few more housekeeping notes. Drew Dahlman, starting center for the Chicago Bears, suddenly retired today. I haven't heard any news about the reasoning why. He was a Pro Bowl center last season. He actually just signed, I believe, a four-year extension before the start of last season with the Chicago Bears. So definitely an out-of-nowhere retiree for the for Chicago. And obviously they have an immediate need at center now.

Yeah, I mean, I completely agree. i think the only negative you would hear about taking Sonny Stiles at three is just the positional value. it's It's nothing about the knock on the player and like the level of player that Sonny Stiles is. It's just the, do you take a middle linebacker at three? And to be honest, I don't think he's just a middle linebacker. I think he's everything for a defense, and Arizona needs just good players. So if you think Sonny Stiles the best player available, I would take him here at three. So I'm cool with it.

And then next at four, I mean, i was I kind of had a tough decision because I was trying to decide for the Titans here between Sonny Stiles and Reuben Bain.

And I think I'm going go back to an where a lot of people were taking a wide receiver for the Giants here to pair next to Malik Nabors, and I'm going to take Carnell Tate.

wide receiver out of Ohio State. I think he's the safest wide receiver in this class. He's not my wide receiver one, but he's a safe, high floor, high ceiling kind of wide receiver.

And I think he pairs best as a team's number two option. Like throwing Malik neighbors out there as he's healthy and then across from him having Cardinal Tate, I think it's just the perfect match. It can be like a Jamar Chase T. Higgins kind of situation.
