WE ARE BACK WITH THE 11/20 EP 9 WITH ELECT LADY ALFREDA STONER, ENCOURAGEMENT TO BE THANKFUL TO GOD.

Transcript

Speaker: He has made us to give him honor. He has made us to give him praise. And we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

Speaker: Amen. If you claim Jesus Christ, then you ought to give him glory. If you claim Jesus Christ, you are to understand you are made to show him glory.

Speaker: Amen. Verse four says this, enter into his gates with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving. We're in the season of Thanksgiving. We have to show that gratitude, not just for our families, not just for our other people that we know, but for the God that we serve. And it says, and into his courts with praise.

Speaker: Amen. Amen. We've come into his courts with praise. We've come and we come and into service unto him with thanksgiving and praise. It says, be thankful unto him and bless his name. You can't bless him in a shout. A shout is good. Not saying you shouldn't, but you've got to open up your mouth and give God praise. He said the fruit of your lips. This is the praise he's requested.

Speaker: Welcome to Grace Talk. a podcast by Grace Temple Church Louisville. Experience biblical encouragement in every aspect of life as you see God through the truth of the scriptures.

Speaker: Our mission is to help save the lost and encourage the saved. Hosted by our senior pastor, Apostle Aisham Cordery, and the Grace Temple Church ministry, it's time for Grace Talk.

Speaker: Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. This is Elect Lady Evangelist Alfreda Stoner, Assistant Pastor of Worship here at Grace Temple.

Speaker: And I am in my home right now, so I'm not at Grace Temple. But dearly beloved, I want to come to you with a word. We thank God for His many blessings unto us. He is a great God. And in this season, we have a Thanksgiving coming up.

Speaker: And it would be a fit that we talk about thanksgiving to God, expressing thanksgiving to God. God is so good to us, and He is worthy of all our praise. He's worthy of honor. He's worthy for us to live a life that is pleasing to Him. And I'd just like to encourage you this day to Show your thanksgiving to God. He's soon to return. And we want to be a people that are found giving thanks to him. And whether you are truly grateful or not will be expressed in the way you react to the things that are done.

Speaker: Amen. And if you believe God has been good to you and has done mighty things for you, then you ought to express that in your actions. The great blessings that God has bestowed upon us. We should show our gratitude to him by our complete service to him. Psalm 139. The verse 1 through 5 says this, make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Amen. That's an expression. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. We should do this at every opportunity, not just between the church walls, but at every opportunity, we should thank God for all that he has done. Verse two says, serve the Lord with gladness. You can tell me all day that you serve the Lord with gladness. But if I can see no expression of your service, then that's not going to be something I believe. So we should serve the Lord with gladness be because he's been good. it says come before his presence with singing. Amen. So we should sing.

Speaker: praise unto the Lord. We should come before him and show him the gratitude that we have for him and the things that he has gone done. Verse three says, know ye that the Lord, he is God. There's no other God but him. He's the only true and living God. He is the only savior. There are many things that have been called God. But there's only one who has proven himself to be God. And that's the one we should serve. It says it is he that hath made us and not we ourselves. Another version says it is he that hath made us. and not for ourselves Amen. he has made us to be his glory he has made us to give him honor he has made us to give him praise and we are his

Speaker: Thanksgiving. We're in the season of Thanksgiving. We ought to show that gratitude, not just for our families, not just for our other people that we know, but for the God that we serve. And it says, and in to his courts with praise. Amen. Amen. We've come into his courts with praise. We've come and we come into service unto him with thanksgiving and praise. It says, be thankful unto him and bless his name. You can't bless him in a shout. A shout is good, not saying you shouldn't, but you've got to open up your mouth and give God praise. He said the fruit of your lips, this is the praise he's requested. So don't do all the shouting and the running and all that and forget.

Speaker: God wants to hear your praise. He wants you to open up your mouth and tell him just how good he is. And we thank God for the opportunity to do so. Verse five says, for the Lord is good and surely he is. His mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations. God is forevermore. God is everlasting. He will always be. So we should understand that he deserves all our praise. It's a privilege. It's an honor to be able to praise this mighty God because every morning he renews mercy unto us. Hallelujah. And we need his mercy every morning. His mercies are renewed.

Speaker: Amen. And it's because of those mercies that we are not consumed. It says his truth endureth to all generations.

Speaker: God's truth is God's truth. No matter what man may say, God's truth is God's truth. And man has said a lot of things that are not God's truth.

Speaker: If you want to know what God says about it, open up his word and see. If you're living a life and you believe you're living for him, why don't you do a check and balance and look at his word and see if your life is lining up with him. And if you find that it's not lining up, look for the opportunity to line up with him. Look for the believers that are lining up with him and attach yourself to that group of believers. So we should have expressions for our Thanksgiving. What's some examples of our expressions? In the Word of God, it tells us you can express it by leaping and praising God. Look at Acts 3, 6-10.

Speaker: Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk, he told the man. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God. The man at the gate, beautiful, who was healed, went in walking and leaping and praising God. Verse 9 says, And all the people saw him walking and praising God. And they knew that it was he which set for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. So you can express your thanksgiving. by leaping and praising God. Amen. That's why we said, shouting is all right, but you do want to remember to give him the fruit of your lips. Another expression we find in the scripture, always return to him. Luke 17, 11 through 19 reads as thus, And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee,

Speaker: And as he entered into a certain village, there met him 10 men that were lepers, which stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, Jesus, master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, go, show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed,

Speaker: Turn back and with a loud voice glorified God and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed?

Speaker: but there But where are the nine? There they are not found that return to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, arise, go thy way. Thy faith had made thee whole.

Speaker: Always return to him. We pray and we ask God for this or for that. And we go about our way. And sometimes we don't return until God thank you for the blessing.

Speaker: Give God thanks. Always return to him. Always remember to give God thanks for the things he has done. We understand and know that some of the things and blessings we receive, we would never in this lifetime be able to do for ourselves. but God has done it. And we ought to remember to return unto him and say, thank you. If you found yourself outside of the ark of safety, if you've lost your way, return to him and tell him, thank you. And he will receive you again. Another expression of giving thanks is giving thanks itself. It's In Hebrews 13, verse 12 through 16, it says, Wherefore, Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood.

Speaker: suffered without the gate let us go therefore Let us go forth, therefore, unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

Speaker: By him, therefore, let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name.

Speaker: But do to do good and to communicate, forget not, for which for with such sacrifices, God is well pleased. So we want to make sure that we give thanks to God with the fruit of our lips. We are looking for a city. Hallelujah. We are looking for one that is to come and he will come and receive us if we have done those things that he has said to do. His simple instruction. He said, follow me. Amen. And we want to make sure that we are following him and we can't just give him the fruit of our lips and forget to do good. For we must also not forget to do good.

Speaker: That's what he is looking for. Another expression is we can tell somebody. Tell somebody how good he is. Mark 5, 19 and 20 says this.

Speaker: Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee and hath had compassion on thee.

Speaker: And he departed. And began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him. And all men did marvel. So we must not forget to tell God just how good he is. To tell God of the good things that he has done. To tell people of the good things that God has done. We must not forget to give God glory in the face of people. Let them know how good he's been. Let them know how he has blessed. Let them know how he still saves. Let them know all these things. Another expression could be to be instant and consistent. Luke 2, 36 to 38.

Speaker: And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asser. She was of a great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity. And she was a widow of about four score and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Speaker: And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. Amen. So she was there. She was 84 years old. And from her, amen, widowhood, she had given God but glory.

Speaker: Amen. Day and night with fastings and with prayers. So we must be instant and we must be consistent. God is not a God that's here and then there and then he's in and then he's out. He's a God that is consistent. We can depend on him. So should he also be able to depend on us to be consistent in our thanksgiving, in our prayers, in our fastings, in our the things that we do for him. In the God things, we should be consistent. Amen. Not here sometimes and not there sometimes, but we should be consistent with what God has given us to do. Amen. The God things. So I encourage you, don't forget to thank God in all this season of Thanksgiving. Don't forget to give God glory. Psalm 69 and to give Him thanks.

Speaker: encourage you to see that your life lines with a song and will magnify Him. with thanksgiving i encourage you saints of god to praise god and to give him thanks i encourage you to see that your life lines up with him Here at Grace Temple, we believe in the scripture. We believe in lining up with what God has said. He didn't leave it for us to determine. He didn't leave it for us to decide. But he gave us the way.

Speaker: And told us he is the truth and the light. And no man can come to the Father but by Jesus Christ. Find yourself following him.

Speaker: That's the best way. And he's coming back. He'll be looking for those who look just like him. God bless you. And remember, grace and peace.

Speaker: Grace is changing lives. God bless you. Thank you for listening to Grace Talk. It is our prayer that you were encouraged through the Word of God.
