Kieran and Cormac take the United players back to school after a dismal display again in front of Old Trafford. An all too familiar sight.

Opening & Hosts Introduction

00:00:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello everyone and welcome back to the daily Manchester United here on Monday. Yeah, let's let's put but to i be it yesterday behind us. I can barely speak. I'm so speechless of what I've just seen. It's episode 101 and United have obviously forgotten Football 101. Here to teach them some lessons is myself, Keira McGidley and Cormac Dooley who joins alongside me. Cormac, welcome along.
00:00:33
Cormac
Thanks for having me once again, unfortunately after another loss.
00:00:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, yeah. we We did say in the crossover, Jean-Philippe Mateta, you know, he's on a bit of a run.
00:00:40
Cormac
Amen.
00:00:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
I said this to Dan from the Palace side. He pops up with two goals. I mean, well, let's go through the first half because it was a bit of deja vu from what we had in the fixture in September, of course, when we went to Selhurst Park, it was a nil-nil draw.

Manchester United's Performance Analysis

00:00:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
We were all over Palace. it Well, I heard, because I'll get onto that in a minute, I heard that we were on top of Palace again in that first half.
00:01:04
Cormac
Yeah, I mean, yeah, complete contrast to what that game was, you know, at the start of the season. I mean, we were attacking so well that game. I remember Geronacho hitting the crossbar, Bruno hitting the crossbar, you know, creating chances. And today there was just no chance of being traded. I know it looked good at the start when Maino hit the post. I was thinking, all right, you know, something new up there um might create more things. But no, I mean, what really comes to mind is just the Gerta shot. And then Bruno had another shot, Henderson saved.
00:01:34
Cormac
Heilin header at the end, but I mean it was just sort of stagnant up there um Yeah, just complete contrast and yeah palace. I mean potato was an fully could have had a hat trick on and I got a fingertip to it um So yeah, I know there's just another support performance for us
00:01:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
I mean, yeah, I think that's that's about it, really. We we had our chance in the first half and we did not take them. And going away from that, it just seems like, yeah, it doesn't seem like we can say a lot about that first off, because if you're an ex G believer, Palace actually had more ex G than Manchester United at halftime, which is, you know,
00:02:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
they had their chances, they didn't take them in the first half, as you say, Anana doing well to keep us in it at that point, but there was a flurry of shots from Manchester United, but none of them another really on target, which didn't really give Henderson anything to think about in that second half either.
00:02:28
Cormac
No, yeah. Um, and to be fair to Henderson, he made, I thought that he'd go to say it was a brilliant one with the feet. Um, but no, yeah, I mean, we're, we're trying to rip long shots. Even at the end, you know, Bruno's cutting on his left foot and trying to hit one and just getting blocked or they're going wide. And yeah, I mean, i'm I'm just questioning what actually is our game plan in the final third? Cause you know, today we had menu center mid-plan up top, you know, that makes it kind of clear to me that Emory doesn't have much faith in his two strikers if he's putting, you know, a young centre-mate up

Financial and Broadcasting Concerns

00:02:59
Cormac
front. And to be fair, at the start, I thought he was causing a bit of problems, dropping kind of deeper that false nine pocket. um But no, as the game went on, it was evident we just kind of need a striker, if we need investment.
00:03:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah course It's not a case of investment, is it? For goodness sake, we've had 600 odd million of investment but in the last two years alone, maybe even sooner than that.
00:03:15
Cormac
Well, no, yeah. Yeah.
00:03:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it's not a case of investment, it's just money being thrown in the wrong direction. We only have two strikers really up top, and neither of them started. So that was going to be an interesting way on how that started.
00:03:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yes, they've only got four Premier League goals between them. But Amram's just sent a message out there that he's saying, well, I'd rather play a Senate midfielder up top. like I don't get it and then yet we're willing to zero strikers in this window.
00:03:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
i So what now? I really don't understand. if The windows open until today, I believe at midnight, by the time you listen to this Monday, closes today with all sorts of facts and machines and whatnot. I'm as sure delaying some transfers until the wee hours of the morning, which apparently they're allowed to do. In any case, what's the point of a deadline cutoff, if that's the case?
00:04:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Anyway, I'm ranting here. I could go on a rant itself because I want to, ah just like a manager, shift away from the performance and blame something else. Why can't we watch this game? Premier League?
00:04:19
Cormac
Yeah.
00:04:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
Why can't we watch this game? I don't understand, ah you know, all this money being funneled towards you in TV money and yet you can't watch every game. ah ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. So you'll have to forgive me because I i actually had to hear the game through BBC Radio 5 Live and commentary was good. Lee and Osman on the sort of anchor there was doing quite well until United scored and then they bashed United as hard as they could because that's the common theme really isn't it, it's easy to do. But I think in in what I've heard the the first goal
00:04:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
is ruled out and if it's played in Europe and the Europa League and if your team is Rangers, that goal gets gets ruled out.
00:05:01
Cormac
Yeah, I mean, we've seen, I think it was Yarrow even involved in that Europa League game. Yeah, even the slightest of knowledge. So it was much more contact on this one. And yeah, not even the air check.
00:05:11
Cormac
I don't think at all.
00:05:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
but They did check it, they did, yeah.
00:05:13
Cormac
Oh, did they? Okay. They did. Oh, really? I didn't hear that.

Defense and League Position Issues

00:05:17
Cormac
What makes it even worse. I mean, I thought Yarrow should have made a bit more of a meal of it to be fair and put more pressure on them. But I mean, yeah, it was just, it was just, yeah.
00:05:28
Cormac
What can you do? But to be fair, I mean, You can say it could have been ruled out, but Yarrow, I mean, he had an OK game, but he his defensive line for that goal, he played them all on-site. And even for the second goal, he had the same on Maguire, playing Munoz on-site. So, you know, it really, it's their own fault.
00:05:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, and it's one of those where it's like a really flat mood. we've We've come off the back of a couple of wins, a couple of good results, and we're starting February in the wrong way as well, kind of how we slightly started January, or at least ended off December.
00:06:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
it's very flat you know we're we're down the table again obviously with that loss we're currently down to 13th with Tottenham getting a win so they're now two points behind us West Ham yet to play they have a game in hand over us and they play Chelsea ah tonight if you're listening to this also Everton still have a game in hand but they have to take on Liverpool so ah well onto to the Moise era ah What's it now, the second or second moisier, isn't it? I could see them winning in that game. It's going to be really annoying. All the teams around us are now picking up points. I think we're lucky at this point that we have 10 points over walls who are 17th, because if that's not the case, then we're severely looking over our shoulders. i To be honest, I thought this was a case of, you know,
00:06:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
maybe the players getting used to the tactics, but we've used that excuse for 11 years, maybe it is the players. We haven't used that excuse yet, but ah it was just a case of we did not show up for that second half. It's almost like a real a complete polar opposite of of what's been going on so far this season where we don't start games well. This one, we were nowhere near good enough in that second half. Nowhere near.
00:07:10
Cormac
No, absolutely not. And you know, it's Amerine, we do keep saying, you know, given the benefit of doubt, you know, he doesn't have the players with everyone. How long is this going to be acceptable? You know, I mean, we're just slipping further and further down the table. Um, but no, in relation, that second half, I mean, yeah, no, it's not a near good enough. I thought ah to be fair with the lineup bear, maybe maybe the minor top, I thought Bruno being in that deep line role was sitting. I was like, all right, you know, I you have license to kind of dictate the game, create chances.
00:07:40
Cormac
Um, but no, yeah, that second half, I mean, we're, we're doing nothing. As I said before, well, I just don't know what the game plan is up front. I mean, we're getting the ball out wide looking about crossing, but then you have a, you know, a small center made up there. We have Maserawi, the other man in the box, you know, trying to get forward. Um, so yeah, I just, I just don't know what we're relying on as an individual brilliant. So we're just waiting for a man to do something again. Um, yeah, no, I just have no clue really what our attack mindset is at all.
00:08:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, that seems to be the game plan against Southampton. Ahmad, please save us.
00:08:11
Cormac
Yeah.
00:08:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
that was That was the game plan there. But anyway, ah in terms of game plans, I'm

sure we'll talk more about what went wrong in that one. But first, we'll have a message from one of our sponsors.

I'm sure you'll know that we signed Heaven from Arsenal and he witnessed hell at Old Trafford.
00:09:06
Cormac
but but
00:09:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's going to be one of those those headlines there. But yeah, I suppose Heaven and Dorgu unveiled at Old Trafford. You always look like you've got egg on your face when you're going to lose that game because they're probably sitting on the sidelines thinking, what have we got ourselves into?
00:09:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
Oh, no. Is it too late to rip up the contract?
00:09:25
Cormac
yeah no i mean yeah the short glance of them in the crowd and jeez they did not look too enthusiastic about what they were seeing at all Um, but no, I mean, yeah, we were talking about Dorga. I mean, I'm very excited to see what he can do on that left side, you know, hopefully bring more attack and threat down that wing. And then, yeah, heaven, I mean, a promising center back, you know, Harrison were trying to keep him. I think he had a few offers as for everybody choice, you know, he did. And yeah, he's supposed to be very highly rated. So, I mean, looking for what he can do, but it's more defenders. I feel like, you know, attackers is kind of what we need, especially Rashford going to Villa. Now we had Anthony leave, um,
00:10:02
Cormac
So yeah, deadline day coming off, I don't know, but I'm not. It is good to get two young side defenders um on the team though.
00:10:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, yeah, absolutely. It's nice to see some, as you say, some potential come to the club. But potential is great. But we need, you know, the stalwart talent right now. And hopefully Dorga can be one of those to instantly coming in onto that left hand side of that left wing back roll and make an impact straight away.
00:10:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
Even to provide competition to Dallow because he feels like he's got that position Kind of he's now door who comes in now this competition. Hopefully that raises performance levels from both as you say, you know for Brittany Romano reporting that ah Rashford is undergoing a medical in Birmingham already for a lone move to Aston Villa for the rest of the season and I mean It's a case of Amorim as has put his foot down and he's not budging against against playing Rashford. i I don't know what's your what's your call on this because I think Rashford could do well at Villa considering Villa have just sold John Duran to Saudi Arabia. I think he could do well if he hits the ground running and we know what Rashford is like on a debut. In fact, I have to look up when Aston Villa play Manchester United because I reckon he'll score seven there, I reckon.
00:11:19
Cormac
Will he be able to play against us?

Player Motivation and Injuries

00:11:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah as long between so As long as we don't Barcelona the lone deal and say, oh yeah, you'll be fine.
00:11:23
Cormac
I'm hoping there's some clause in there. yeah
00:11:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
Continue can play against us. It's fine. Don't worry about it. I'm sure.
00:11:32
Cormac
ah
00:11:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
I hope so anyway.
00:11:34
Cormac
obviously um But no, yeah, that's a concern thing as well. I was reading, I'm not sure if it was true, but apparently in that loan contract there's a clause for 40 million fee as well, optional from Villa, which Thought it was a little bit low. So yeah, I know I'm a bit fearful. I could see Rashford hitting the ground running that filler. They have a quality team. They have a lot of creative players. And yeah, you know i'll be if he if he goes off and does well, and then we lose him for that, I'll be a bit upset. But I mean, I do back hammer him, though. I think he has a standard to set coming in. And if Rashford's not living up to that standard, well, I mean, yeah, see ya.
00:12:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, yeah those ah I'd rather put the goalkeeping coach on the on the bench before anybody doesn't train well comments ah lingering away. And and I just just wonder, you know sometimes you'll have managers that come in and put their foot down.
00:12:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
And it kind of is a detriment to the team. But I think on the whole, the the exclusions of Rashford and Anthony from the side haven't been, it's not like we've missed them. It's not like it's been a case of they're the reason we're doing not so well. Like today, we just didn't turn up. No one turned up. I think they should sort of donate the wages for this one, like like the Newcastle game, because it was that poor and pathetic. But I mean, you know, you put in half a shift and you expect a full pay. I don't accept that.
00:12:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
I wouldn't expect that if I was the manager.
00:12:56
Cormac
and
00:12:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
But the problem is, the quickest way to lose the dressing room is don't pay people. So you're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. How do you motivate these players ah to to sort of actually do something without threatening to to not pay them?
00:13:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
Because that's the ultimate way to lose the respect in the dressing room entirely.
00:13:16
Cormac
Yeah, I mean it's tough. I mean I feel like it's kind of been this way for the last few years and You know, obviously, Emery was new and I think he's out of the last few managers who have has put the foot down more than others.
00:13:28
Cormac
um But yeah, and I mean, how do you motivate him? my Most of our players are on a lot of wages, as you said, you can't really not pay them. If it had been an away game and, you know, we got battered, I would expect them to like, you know, pay for these fans, travel or something like that.
00:13:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hmm.
00:13:44
Cormac
um But yeah, no, i'm not I'm just not sure a lot of these players know um what it actually means to play a few nights in the history behind this club. I mean, when I was growing up, you know, to play for United was most players dream, um, might still be now as much, but I mean, just, just even where the badge I felt should be such an honor for the club. And I just don't get that sense with a lot of players. I feel like a lot of them just getting a nice paycheck, really. And yeah, I mean, how, how does Emory motivate them? Really? I mean, yeah, I just don't know.
00:14:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, obviously, it's not every single player that we're talking about here.
00:14:17
Cormac
No, no, no, no, definitely not.
00:14:18
Global Sports Podcast Network
Obviously, I think the the back three, the centre backs, and we'll talk about literature in a second because of what happened in the game.
00:14:23
Cormac
Mm hmm.
00:14:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
But I think literature, de Licte and Maguire have been quite solid over the last couple of games. I think they were all off the pace today. And I think you're allowed an off day, obviously. But when the off days are more often happened more regularly than the on days, then we have to start questioning, are you good enough to be here?
00:14:38
Cormac
its
00:14:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
But then we can't be picky because no one's actually joining the club at the moment. We've had two signings in this window, which again, not not massive fees. I have to give credit to the to the board for that. And whatever negotiation is going on, clearly we're not paying too much of a United tax at the moment.
00:14:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
But they're not overly expensive signings. They're promising signings. Hopefully, they can they can provide a job for us then. And you know Aidan Heaven might have a ah job on his hands because we saw, or at least I heard, Lidja have to come off on that game, damage that right knee. I believe it was a ah collision with, was it Adam Wharton? I don't want to.
00:15:20
Cormac
I believe it was actually Sir. It's made of Sir.
00:15:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
Oh, is it it's Melissar?
00:15:24
Cormac
Yeah, Sir kind of got around him and kind of pulled him to the side. And Martinez just right away i landed awkwardly on that right knee and held it right away. And it was really tough to see, to be honest. Martinez was there, stretched it off in tears.
00:15:37
Cormac
um you know And he's had issues like this before. So you just had to see it happening to him again. And I thought, to be fair, last few games, he was really kind of coming back to what he was last year. and He'll be a big last for us, some yeah you just hate to see it.
00:15:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, there are some players as well. You get rocked by a player going off injured. And and for someone like Litche to go off, you know, I think you lose the the grit in that game. You lose the grit in the side. Not that we were in it before then, but we were certainly way out of it after that. And I think Litche We lost a leader on that pitch. We really did. And Fernando's going straight over to the referee and getting booked ah for dissent. I mean, I don't think it should have stood if if the one in Europe, you know, this stands. I mean, refereeing gets a lot of stick lately. It's not an easy job. Arsenal fans will know that all too well. But yeah, I just think, come on.
00:16:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
make it easier on yourselves make these calls a little bit more consistently and then perhaps we can put them down to human error but it's just it's way too consistent across the league in fact that you know these decisions come off wrong i mean we saw lewis skelly that red card got overturned eventually But you see yeah, I could see why it was given ah that red card. I don't think it obviously there's no intention in it, but sometimes intention is ah is overall by the damage it causes. But yeah, ah I don't know. I think not to blame the referees because we lost this game, but that first goal gets ruled out in Europe and in any UEFA competition, it

Tactical Criticism and Future Outlook

00:17:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
gets ruled out. So where's the consistency between the UEFA and PGM? Oh, well, I don't I don't quite get it. There's ah there's a missing link here.
00:17:20
Cormac
Yeah, I know. I think that's all Los Angeles looking for is just consistency. I mean, it's just really so many scenarios. Now you see one week it been given and then the next week it's not given by a different referee or a different, very analyst. Um, you know, and there's just, I feel like every weekend, honestly, this controversy you seen yesterday in the Liverpool penalty with Gackpo, Lewis Koch, you know, a lot of people debating that one looked like the faintest of thoughts, not really sure. But I mean, that drew a lot of controversy. And yeah, I mean, it's just,
00:17:49
Cormac
Where is the consistency? I mean, you have a lot of time to make these decisions and these are referees who have experience, um you know, they're getting their full-time rest now as well. You know, other this is what their job is, their career is, you know, they spend so much time in it and they're just constantly making poor decisions. I really just don't know like how you can improve it. um You know, I think I was reading reports at the Danish League actually might even move to get away with fair completely. You know, people, yeah, I mean,
00:18:17
Cormac
is it is an argument is it for the better or worse people have their say but I mean yeah recently just the cause of being just too inconsistent
00:18:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think it it can be the better for the game.
00:18:28
Cormac
ah
00:18:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
The game can be made better with VR. And it's not the technology I'm having to go out here, but it's the people using it. And, you know, you don't want to see ah slow down images.
00:18:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
You don't want to see frame by frame of a foul. You should see it in real time because that's that's what you're judging. you shouldn't be able you know you slow it down and at one or two frames into the side of a leg where it's your studs going in of course that's going to look bad but when you play at actual at real-time speed well you know were they in control of it or whatever just judge it from real-time speed i don't know i now don't get why football doesn't take a leaf out of rugby with tmo TMO is there to assist the referee. If the referee says, I don't know, I need help in in rugby, they say that. They go to TMO and say, actually, I need some help making this call. Can you help me? I think it's this. To which the TMO can then run through with them. And guess what? All of that conversation is put over the tannoy for the entire stadium to hear.
00:19:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
It can't be that difficult. if If rugby has got it set down, and they've had TMO for, I think a decade now, maybe over a decade, they've had TMO now. Surely VAR, in its years it's been here, what's it been now? Six or seven years VAR has been around now? Surely, why has no one thought to bring that in?
00:19:50
Cormac
Yeah, no, I mean, yeah, you think you have spot on rugby, I think is an example, just not even for the team also, but even refereeing in general. I mean, there's no dissent from the players. The refs have a lot of respect, but I mean, yeah, even, you know, when the team always needs to call upon the refs to look at something, they will be showing on the big screen and you know, you'll hear their mic exactly what they're saying. And you know, yeah, it's great. It leaves no doubt as to what the ref was thinking.
00:20:14
Cormac
Here's an explanation, and yeah, I mean, I would love to see that in football. You know, I think there'll be a lot more accountability then for the refs and you won't be guessing a lot of things that happen. But yeah, I mean, football could definitely take a leaf out of um rugby in terms of like, yeah, TMO, VAR stuff, and even just refereeing as a whole. Yeah, they they really don't get much wrong at all in rugby.
00:20:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah Shout out to our Victor though on the GSPN podcast on the Bournemouth side. He was absolutely livid. I saw that chat in real time, livid with that call, the penalty call he got against Liverpool. Absolutely livid. Anyway, Victor, we know but well we don't know how you feel because we didn't deserve to win this game, but there we go. What we do deserve is for you to have a little bit of of a break then. We'll be back for a small section just after this message.

It feels like a question I ask all too often Cormac, but where do we go from here? We've got the FA Cup against Leicester on the 7th of February, 4th round there at Old Trafford, and if Old Trafford has taught us anything it's that we have trouble winning there, and we have trouble winning anywhere in fairness.
00:21:57
Cormac
I mean, the biggest piece of hope I can take on into that is we beat Leicester convincingly at ultra effort, not too long ago. And I think, you know, a chance to get back.
00:22:10
Cormac
I don't see us losing to Leicester, to be honest, even though we've been poor. I know I probably shouldn't say that now. I'm trying to be a bit more optimistic, but yeah.

um But no, I mean, I feel like we should win that, hopefully. I mean, yeah, maybe the FA Cup can be our saving and grace like it was last season. um But I mean, yeah, no, best off the last results. I mean, we keep saying we hope for turnaround and maybe this will egg them on. But I mean, it just hasn't been working. So I mean, yeah I can only hope just a good week of training. And yeah, we see a lineup that is a can go out there and score some goals. I think that's the biggest problem right now.

I mean, cool, Mac, I'm looking at the fixture list. I mean, we've got fourth round of the FA Cup against Leicester at Old Trafford. 16th of February, we then got Tottenham away. 22nd of February, or Everton away. 26th of February is Ipswich Town at home but before we then have to face Arsenal at home on the 9th of March. I mean,

You look at that and you think, boy, those are Ipswich Town we might have a chance against. But now we're coming up against all these teams that are in form. And it's Rude Vanisteroy's Leicester City as well.
00:23:19
Cormac
yes That's what I hit.
00:23:21

And you know what's going to happen. You know a former player is going to come to Old Trafford and Rude Vanisteroy in front of the Old Trafford, in front of the Strepford, is going to do what he does best and just win the game.

And it's going to really rile me up and annoy me, but I mean, That's what we are now, isn't it? It's just become a bit of a pushover. I don't understand. like we're We're set up to counter. But how can you counter someone like Palace who are rigid? you know they're They're pretty rigid in how they play. And the way they're they're defended is is against the counter. You need to break teams like Palace down. And we're not breaking them down. We're trying to lump the ball forward. We're trying to be direct with the play. And it doesn't work.

The only way you can get through teams that are mid table or you know battling relegation is to really break them down, get them all sorts of strung out, get them all out of position. Patience is the name of the game there. And yet we're trying to pump it forward and pump it long, which suits those teams because to normally they have great winners of of headers in the air. It just seems like as you go up the table, the quality of how well someone can hit the ball seems to just diminish because they rely on the ball being on the ground.

Yet the teams were coming up against, who are used to defending in the air, they're very good aerially, yet we try and play balls over the top or high or high balls or whatever. just It's a bit counterintuitive. i don't I don't know why we expect these results when we keep playing into teams that are below us, right into their hands.
00:24:54
Cormac
yeah absolutely i mean yeah we set up in a fight back to counter attack a fight back which palace we're playing i mean it just doesn't yeah it makes sense um and oh yeah i mean we go to the long ball but even most of the time i know i didn't stare today but you have oil and reserves on their own and sometimes you're up against two three defenders like what are they supposed to do you know it's just yeah it's just counteractive football really i mean it's just i keep saying about the attack i just don't know what our game plan is and Yeah I mean I would love to see hopefully like the likes of the game against Ipswich maybe in the f FA Cup for him to experiment and you know four back get another attack or get another midfielder up there try something else but I feel like Amirim really believes in his system um so I don't think you'll change much but I mean yeah just how long can we keep doing this because we're just not getting good results really out of it not consistent ones anyway.
00:25:48

Yeah, it's it's a bit worrying. um ah Other than that, we're the whole laughingstock of the entire network, and yet Spurs are still below us. So make of that what you will. We're just that massive, you see. and This result then leaves us 12 points above Leicester in the Premier League.
00:26:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
they are in the relegation zone on 17 points we're now on 29 points as we were at the start of yesterday with Palace now jumping ahead of us so hooray well done to Palace they're up to 12th now and we'll see how we go from there callback final thoughts from what has been quite an egregious match i'll be honest with you
00:26:23
Cormac
Yeah, no, I was just, yeah, poor day. I mean, performance was poor. We had nothing going forward. And yeah, just weren't playing well at all. And then to make matters worse, Martinez looks like he's probably out now for a while. So yeah, just a disastrous day for United.

Yeah, to lose one of our, probably one of our best players who was in a purple patch or written in a form is just a bit of a gut punch to what was already ah a pretty sickening blow. But it is what it is. That is football, I'm afraid. And that is today's episode. Apologies for the lower key mood here, but I'm sure you can understand how we're feeling after this. I feel sorry for the the poor hosts to have to break that down tomorrow on Tactics Tuesday. I'm sure you'll be around for that as well. Cormac, thank you so much for joining me, though.
