When we need her, when anyone needs her, she shows up just like she will do for the people of District 83. We all know that there's certain people in our life, the person that's always there helping you clean up after the funeral. yeah the person that's always there with the casserole the person that's always there when somebody needs help. ye That's Teresa Danaway and now she's stepping up wanting to do that as your representative.

one. I text with Teresa multiple times a day and I am so proud that she put her name in the ring to run for this office.

Teresa runs a nonprofit organization. A few years ago, she had a son that passed away tragically. She took that and turned her life into supporting kids with autism and doing the work in the community. We got to know her as we were collecting signatures this past summer.
00:02:02
Speaker
She is a fierce public education advocate out there fighting to ensure that all children have access to educational resources. Here's, this is funny and I'm going to make her correction and it's not mean meant to me ugly, but we met her two summers ago. We literally, because she put her through her hat in the ring 14 months ago. This has been a long couple of years. Yes.

Community Engagement and Leadership

Speaker
But she shows up. We've been having these community meetups to build community. but It's not necessarily any formal agenda. We've been having them all across the area at different places. I'll just text Teresa and say, hey, we're going to be at Feastros Tuesday. Can you come? She always shows up. She's somebody I want standing beside me because she's like that strong oak tree that was just there and doing the work, you can count on it. And here's what I love about Teresa and people like Teresa. She sees these meetups, whether we're in Conway or Mayflower or Sherwood or Cabot or in her district or in Little Rock. She wants to listen to what people have to say. She's this sponge. Y'all, that's the type of person that we need in office. She knows how to tap into the community regardless of the community that she is in.
00:03:29
Speaker
you just gotta get to know her. And look, we need to start looking at different types of people to put in the legislator than the exact same. We need people who are doing the work in their communities, who are ready and willing to lead.

And they understand the people in their communities that that have the disconnect. And our legislators right now have a disconnect from the common hardworking class citizen. And we're talking about Salem,

Brian she's like in that area it Springs Village yeah that area that corridor you know i30 down there we need to get people out we need to spread the word because that's an area that we're growing in where we could flip a seat if we could get enough people out to vote and y'all if the learns act bothered you Teresa is here for reform on the learns act it is one of her core tenets and one of the reasons that she is running especially children with disability which is a big part of the learns act we don't have enough funding for that and i know that is ah where her heart is inviting that so y'all we need to get out there and in this one we have a very firm endorsement. Teresa day in a way it is y'all get out there spread the word let's help her get elected.
