Speaker: Welcome to the Slut Next Door podcast, where we dive deep into desire, unravel kinks and fetishes, and explore the deliciously naughty side of self-discovery.

Speaker: I'm Beatrix Vale, an erotic audio creator, and your guide to all things kinky and curious. So let's begin.

Speaker: So here's something I find genuinely fascinating. For thousands of years, people wash feet as an act of devotion.

Speaker: Like in the Gospel of John, Jesus kneels and washes his disciples' feet. Subjects kiss the feet of emperors, and for centuries, the faithful kiss the feet of popes.

Speaker: Religious texts describe falling at someone's feet as the ultimate gesture of reverence. entire empires ran on the symbolism of the foot.

Speaker: And then sometime in the last century and a half, we all collectively agreed that finding feet erotic is the weird one or the embarrassing one, the fetish that's a punchline.

Speaker: So when did that happen? And more importantly, why feet at all? Why does one specific body part, one most people walk on without a second thought, become the center of someone's entire erotic world?

Speaker: That is today's episode. And whether you're here because feet do absolutely nothing for you and you're genuinely curious, or because they do very much something for you and you've never told anyone why, this one's for you.

Speaker: Now, before we really dive into this episode, i do like to start my podcast with what's currently making me feel like a goddess.

Speaker: So I think this week, the change of the seasons is making me feel like a goddess. So if you know me, I get kind of grumpy during the summer. Like the heat, the older I get, the heat just pisses me off and I get really annoyed and I complain about it. Like someone can change something about it. So Here, we're starting to see little signs of fall and it is glorious. Like I walk outside and I feel like a goddess because it feels comfortable to be outside. And I am truly at home.

Speaker: when I am outside. It is the most grounding activity for me. So that I think that's why i get so bratty about summer is because I like to be outside. And when it's hot, I don't like to be hot.

Speaker: So I've been spending a lot of time outside. And i mean, just the other day, I sat in the grass and i like to meditate when I'm sitting directly on the earth. And oh my God, I'm in my element, in my element. um So that makes me feel like a goddess. I feel like I'm connecting with the earth. I feel at one with the nature around me.

Speaker: i live out in the country. So You know, when i'm when I'm able to go sit outside, when I'm able to listen to the birds just soak in that sun, i feel like an absolute goddess. And it's my favorite way midday to go outside and just kind of ground myself because I do spend so much time here at my computer. So yeah, that is absolute goddess energy using that earth energy to rejuvenate myself. And this goddess lives her best life in the fall.

Speaker: So let's get back to the topic of feet. And if you've never listened to my podcast, I do love to unpack kinks and fetishes, like honestly and psychologically with real curiosity and that zero cheap shock value.

Speaker: And so today we're talking about foot fetish. And I know it's the most common fetish under the sun and somehow still the most made fun of, or I would even argue misunderstood, which is exactly why it deserves a serious conversation.

Speaker: And when I say most common, i'm bringing numbers behind it, okay? So in 2007, so not that long ago, a team of Italian researchers studied thousands of members of online fetish communities.

Speaker: And feet and toes came out on top as the most popular body part. Isn't that fascinating? But the most popular body part fetish by a very wide margin.

Speaker: So nearly half of everyone with a body part fetish was in two feet. So here's the plan, okay? So first we're going to do a little history because foot eroticism like spans ah a long time. And then we're going to go into the brain science, including a famous theory and the twist most people never hear.

Speaker: And then we're going to go into the psychology, which I think is the most interesting part. And finally, because I work with foot fetishes all the time, how I actually use feet in my own practice as an erotic content creator.

Speaker: including a few ways that might surprise you. So let's go back to the question from the top. So when did feet become the punchline?

Speaker: All right. So the medical world started treating foot attraction As a disorder in 1886, okay, there was this ah Austrian um psychiatrist um who has this giant catalog of everything he considered sexually abnormal. Okay.

Speaker: If you want to look him up, just look up, and I might totally like ruin how to say this, but look up Austrian psychiatrist, psychopathia, sexualists.

Speaker: Okay. So anyway, he has this giant catalog, right? And foot fetishism got its own entry. And then Freud came along soon after and decided the foot was a symbol for the penis.

Speaker: which tells you more about forehead than it does about feet. All right. So the eroticism itself though is pretty ancient. So in Imperial China, bound feet called lotus feet were treated as the most intimate part of a woman's body for roughly a thousand years.

Speaker: Poets wrote love verses about them. It was also a practice built on enormous pain for the women who endured it.

Speaker: I'm sure you've heard of it. um Women used to like, i I don't know what the word is, but make their feet smaller by totally torturing themselves. Right?

Speaker: But it proves the point that whole cultures have openly eroticized the foot. And here's one of my favorite curiosities. So in 1998, a psychiatrist named A. James, and I might mispronounce this, Giannini, Giannini,

Speaker: giiannini G-I-A-N-N-I-N-I. Anyway, this psychiatrist and his colleagues published a paper arguing that interest and feat surged during epidemics of sexually transmitted disease.

Speaker: They pointed to gonorrhea in medieval Europe, syphilis in the 1500s, and the AIDS crisis in the nineteen eighty s really crazy but their idea was this so when sex itself feels dangerous desire finds a safer place to land and the evidence comes mostly from art and literature so just treat it like as a fascinating theory okay but i

Speaker: I kind of love what it suggests. So feet as a refuge, intimacy with the fear taken out. I don't know if I agree, but it's very creative.

Speaker: i'll I'll give them that. It's very creative. Now let's look into the neuroscience. Okay. The brain, because there's a theory here that everyone brings up and i feel like no one really explains it properly. i'm probably going to be another person that does not explain it properly here.

Speaker: So your brain has a map of your entire body. Okay. It's called the somatosensory, probably messing that up, cortex.

Speaker: And it's laid out roughly in the shape of a person like with different regions devoted to sensation from different body parts. So hands get a huge amount of real estate.

Speaker: Lips get a lot. In the mid-20th century, there was a neurosurgeon, Penfield, his last name, mapped this territory territory by stimulating the brains of awake patients during surgery.

Speaker: And in his famous drawing of that map, the genitals sit right next to the feet. Okay, so now there's a neuroscientist, i'm probably going to mess his name up, Ramakadran.

Speaker: He built a theory on that drawing, okay? And the story of where he got the idea is wild. So he was studying amputees with phantom limbs, people who still like feel a hand or a foot that's gone.

Speaker: So when a body part disappears... Its neighbors on the brain map can start moving into its territory. And some of his patients who had lost a foot told him something remarkable.

Speaker: That during sex, they felt sensations in the missing foot. And a few said orgasms seemed to travel all the way down into a foot that no longer existed.

Speaker: So this guy asked, if feet and genitals are neighbors on the brain map, could some people be born with a little crosstalk between them?

Speaker: So like signals bleeding across so that touching the foot partly lights up sexual circuitry? it It's quite a theory. i mean, but here's the twist.

Speaker: Later, brain imaging complicated it. So in 2005, researchers in Germany used this um type of m MRI on men and found that genital sensation maps up near the hip and trunk of their body a good distance from the feet.

Speaker: Studies in women since then point the same direction. So the neat picture of feet and genitals pressed together on the map may simply be wrong.

Speaker: But what I find the most fascinating is those phantom limb patients like felt what they felt. And feats are richly wired. So like each soul is packed with nerve endings and has one of the highest concentrations of sweat glands anywhere on the body. So scent, texture, and touch all converge there.

Speaker: And so the brain... can clearly link feet and arousal. And in some people, it does so powerfully. So if that's you, your desire does have a biology. It's how you're built. The door between those rooms was already open.

Speaker: And so I actually did a podcast on feet and the fetish of feet. years ago, actually. So like, if you didn't know the slut next door has been a podcast for a while, I took a break. I archived all those old episodes, but I had interviewed a foot fetishes because I find the fetish wildly fascinating. And I think it's because I don't have a foot fetish. So

Speaker: I just wanted to understand it. So these studies that I'm getting into today just wildly fascinate me. Now, let's get into the psychology of all this. So even if the wiring story okay that I just mentioned were airtight, I think it would only tell half the story.

Speaker: So if crossed wires were the whole answer, feet would be erotic the way genitals are erotic, a sensation, a trigger.

Speaker: Anyone who has spent five minutes in foot worship knows it's far more layered than that. So here's what I keep coming back to.

Speaker: The foot is the most exposed part of the body that still requires permission. So think about it, okay?

Speaker: You see hands all day, right? You can see someone's face all day. Nobody covers their hands. Feet stay hidden in shoes.

Speaker: They are revealed selectively. i Like if someone decides to wear sandals or flip-flops, but touched by almost nobody without invitation. Like when you meet someone, you don't shake feet, you shake hands. But so like a foot is public and private at the same time.

Speaker: It's out in the world and yet it's still off limits. I find that fascinating when you really think about it. Then there's kind of the geometry about this whole thing. And this is my favorite part.

Speaker: So you can't reach a foot standing up, at least with dignity. To touch a foot, like if you were to touch my foot, you would have to lower yourself.

Speaker: You kneel or you bend or you sit at someone's feet like, It's the seat it actually is. So like the posture of worship is built into the act itself.

Speaker: Or let's think of it this way. if you were to look at my feet, like really get eye level, you're also looking up at a very um private part of my body.

Speaker: Like just imagine yourself sitting, like I'm standing up, you're sitting at my feet and you look up and you see quite an interesting point of view.

Speaker: So my point in all this is the fetish and the submission arrive together. Kind of like you can't really like worship my feet or like look at my feet unless you are in a submission submissive dance Just saying.

Speaker: But like you, so the foot is the part of the body you have to kneel to honor. And I find that truly fascinating because So let's now get into my world, okay?

Speaker: Because I have seen foot like a foot fetish come across in so many different ways. You've got the appearance of feet, feet,

Speaker: types of feet, the smell of feet. You've got foot jobs, the cleanliness of feet or lack thereof, painted toes, toenails, anklets, feet and certain shoes like heels or even boots or socks,

Speaker: Like I'll never forget a foot lover telling me that seeing a woman take like her socks off is one of the most seductive acts that she can do. It's almost like her undressing like clothes on her body. I found that to be so fascinating.

Speaker: But I could get into the different ah preferences of foot fetishes, but that's not what I wanted this episode to be about, and especially me talking about how I use it. I want to talk about how I how i use the kink or the fetish of feet in my actual content. So the first one is kind of like an obvious one, okay? So It is enhancing an existing foot fetish.

Speaker: So most of the foot fetishes who find me already know they love feet, right? So my job is to deepen that love. And the way that you deepen a fetish is the same way you deepen anything.

Speaker: association, repetition, and ritual. So I'll take something that already turns him on and I'll wrap it in structure through hypnosis or even just a regular femdom role play file. So like specific rituals for when he's allowed to look or Rules about how he's allowed to touch when it comes to thinking about or looking at feet. Language that connects the foot to his submission.

Speaker: So a foot fetish left alone stays a preference. A foot fetish that that's like tended to becomes a devotion. And I'm very, very good at tending to things.

Speaker: The second one, um and I find so fun, is I have conditioned feet as a trigger. specifically a trigger for the pre-jack crowd.

Speaker: So if you didn't know, i do a lot of premature ejaculation content. If that is something you don't know, definitely go find my podcast episode on this. ok So um if you if you don't know that term, a pre-jack is someone whose conditioning centers around finishing like way too fast. So ideally, before they're given permission, sometimes from stimulation, that should barely register at all, just you know finishing too fast, being a quick shot.

Speaker: And within the pre-jack kink, there is sexual conditioning, which I find very erotic. I love doing it. And maybe that's why ah people come to me for premature ejaculation because I do understand it at this level. So there was, i want to say, mid-20th century, like the psychologist, this was like so hot to me.

Speaker: Talk sexy to me. Talk about um sexual conditioning and scientific settings. oh I love it. So anyway, there was this guy that showed men photograph of a pair of women's boots. Okay. And then followed immediately by erotic images of women. Okay.

Speaker: So he repeated the pairing over and over and over. And eventually, the boots alone produced arousal.

Speaker: And some of the men even started responding to other shoes too. A fetish built on purpose. that i mean This is right up Beatrix Vale's world right here. I love shit like this.

Speaker: This is why i am an erotic, hypno-artist because I just love it. I love conditioning. I think it's very hot. So this is the exact principle I use when sometimes when doing pre-jack content. So once something is eroticized, it arouses and it accelerates.

Speaker: So I build the association deliberately. So for example, i have a file called foot job pre-job. So it is having the listener associate, you're going to be a pre-job when you get foot jobs and only when you get foot jobs. So the idea is that over and over that becomes his trigger.

Speaker: If he's able to successfully connect the two together. Or in a file, you pair feet with arousal over and over and over again until the foot becomes that shortcut.

Speaker: And then the game becomes like, how little does it take? Is it just the arc, the toes? you know it it it becomes a trigger.

Speaker: And if you are a pre-jack fan, you know that triggers are something that um premature ejaculation kingsters love to play a around with.

Speaker: Like some like to use the image of women in yoga pants or simply just cleavage. Um, or the feeling of their partner during intercourse.

Speaker: That's a file I've done before too. You know, it's just taking something and making it the trigger, which makes them fast. Okay. So the third way I've played with, uh, the foot, uh, fetish and my content humiliation.

Speaker: Humiliation. And I know that sounds like it goes against everything I've said. So hear me out. So foot fetish is one of the most mocked fetishes on earth, I think. I think that a lot of people don't understand it, so they make fun of it.

Speaker: And every foot fetisher fetishist I've personally worked with, like I get to know them, has been teased at some point, or they feel a little embarrassed about it.

Speaker: So that means the shame is there. And shame in the right hands, in the right container with consent and care is incredible material to build with.

Speaker: So the humiliation themes I use center on him and the fact that you know he's on his knees, for example, over a body part everyone else ignores that that's where that fire comes from.

Speaker: The fact that he'd trade anything for the privilege of being a footstool, you know, you get the idea. So it's basically eroticizing the thing that he's most weak for that only works for some people.

Speaker: I mean, humiliation is not for everyone, but it's definitely a road I've taken in terms of content. So why feet?

Speaker: You know, maybe, maybe it's that wiring we talked about. Maybe it's kneeling. Maybe it's a few thousand years of human beings instinctively understanding that the part of the body that carries all the weight deserves a special kind of honor.

Speaker: Maybe it is still a huge mystery that no one can figure out. as Honestly, sometimes i think it's all of that at once. Because every time I dive into foot fetish and think about it and a curious way, i never walk away feeling completely sure about what causes this.

Speaker: But I think the foot fetishist is perfectly natural. If I'm to be completely honest, I think that a foot fetishist inherited one of the oldest devotions in human history and then perhaps got taught to be embarrassed about it.

Speaker: Because feet have been worshipped for thousands of years. And for some, they continue to be worshipped. And I love it.

Speaker: I absolutely love you foot freaks. I love it. I think it's so fascinating. And hey, if you want to come worship my feet,

Speaker: They are right here, ready to be worshiped. It does make me feel powerful. I am in the business of feeling powerful and like a goddess. So yeah, come worship my goddess feet.

Speaker: But if this episode saw you in any way, tell me about it. Send me a message. I, or simply leave a comment on this. I do read everything and I promise I'll understand. And if this had nothing to do with you and you listen because you were curious, good job.

Speaker: Good boy. Good job educating yourself. So take care of yourselves or better yet, get down at someone's feet and let them take care of you.

Speaker: And that's a wrap for this episode of The Slut Next Door, where we dive deep into the raw, unapologetic truths of human desire.
