Hello and welcome back to the Daily Manchester City Podcast on the Global Sports Podcast Network. And today we have a jam-packed Friday forecast episode to bring

Breaking the Streak: City vs Forest

00:00:18
Global Sports Podcast Network
you. We'll be looking back at Wednesday's long-awaited, long, long-awaited 3-0 win over Forest. A first in seven, the cobweb swept and the monkey removed firmly from the back to hopefully get the season back on track.

Preview: City vs Palace and Premier League Fixtures

00:00:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
We will also be looking ahead to where the City can maintain that momentum against Palace on their trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday and to finish we'll be glancing over some of the other Premier League fixtures and in particular City's league challenging rivals. So let's talk about City ending their worst running years and perhaps worst ever run in conclusive fashion, smashing Forrest 3-0 and bringing Joy back to the Etihad after a prolonged absence. It really felt right from the off that there was vindication to obtain. Roms to be put right and that mentality, alongside much improved quality on the ball, put City on the offensive and Forest on the back foot. Bernardo was on the line to tap in, Kev's header to open the score in, then KDB smashed in in the top corner himself after some good work from Dokku to set him up, and then in the second half Dokku himself got a deserved goal, terrorising the Forest backline all match long.
00:01:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
and cutting inside and burying a shot into the fore corner to put put the seal on this match, match, match needed win. So Keiran, talk to me firstly about how you felt when that final whistle went on Wednesday night.
00:01:36
Keelin
Well, first of all, I felt relief more than anything, and that is very much the overriding emotion at the moment. You know, we've had a horrible winter, and it was coming, but we've we've really, really, really struggled with our artery. We've seen blown leads, blowout losses, and really nothing that looks like the normal Man City. So this is, above all else, a much relief bringing win.

Impact Players: Grealish and De Bruyne

00:02:00
Keelin
but I was very happy with what I saw you know for the first time in probably two months I was actually really happy with what I saw from City they looked like themselves again I think the big thing for me was Jack Grealish finally getting a chance in midfield I thought he was absolutely brilliant all game and he looked like where he belongs you know I get that he plays a certain role being a winger but he's wasted being a winger and everybody and their wife and their dog knows Jack Grealish is not a winger He's a midfielder, he's a ball carrying midfielder and it's time we started playing him to his strengths so I'm just happy that we finally did that and I think you saw some parts of control coming back into the midfield with that. Overall really really happy, hopefully it is the first of many but one step at a time I'm very happy with what I saw.
00:02:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, definitely. And we'll get we'll get into some of the specific performances in a little bit. But um first, I just wanted to ask why or how City was so different in this game to the last seven? What could you sense that it was different?
00:03:08
Keelin
Well for me, the big thing which is what we've mentioned already was obviously Graylish in midfield, but it just felt to me like City had a bit of their swagger back. and You know, Bernardo Silva playing really well, breaking in between the lines.
00:03:23
Keelin
Kevin De Bruyne absolutely regal and magnificent starting a game again. He was as big a factor as Jack Relish was. I thought Kevin was absolutely phenomenal. Obviously, you know, golden and assist on your starting return is always a great thing to have. But De Bruyne just looked like the De Bruyne of old dominating, playing those balls, playing those passes, being involved.
00:03:47
Keelin
and he was a big part of everything Citi got right and credit to Stefan Ortega as well he made a couple of really good saves obviously there's a big one-on-one with Chris Wood that if he scores that not only does Citi probably not score that goal but Forest probably piled on the pressure from there so a shout out to Stefan as well he did a really really good job too
00:04:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, um it could be easy just to say that Kev being back completely changes the fortunes of Man City. but He's that good. He really is that good. The way that City built up, the way that City got through the thirds and then in the final third, it looked like a different team. Kev been able to pick those pockets of space up and find his forwards with quick ball. I think that's what has been missing for so long. ah Allowing Doku to have the space he needs to be able to cause terror. and
00:04:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, just everything everything felt completely different. It didn't look like a team that hadn't won in seven and lost six of those games. Not at all. So credit to the boys, credit to Pep. They were bang up for it right from the start. And yeah, I think it's hard to how to look past the fact that Kev makes his team tick that much. You know, obviously, Roger is the world's best player and is so important. But and We've talked we talked a lot this season about midfield, and that's where teams are getting their joy against City. But if Kevin is in the team, then the opportunities to score are always going to be there. He got sabotaged off in the 74th minute, i am but he'd already done the the the damage for the day by that point. In the post-match interview, he said he isn't fully fit. He was in pain all the way throughout, so um hopefully he can manage that.
00:05:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
He's at an age now where those those awful ACLs seem to be catching up and little niggles seem to be keeping him out for longer than usual. And I think he is putting himself through the ringer just ah just to get any time on the pitch. But it shows how much he loves the club. No one should ever, ever doubt that. He will stay if City give him a reason to. And I mean, City need him. because that's I think that's very clear.

Player Highlights: Jeremy Dokku and Team Morale

00:05:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Another performance that I'd like to touch upon was Jeremy Dokku.
00:05:57
Global Sports Podcast Network
All season we've been crying out for something like this because we all know, to use to use a and proverb you just said, everyone and and his wife and his dog knows how good Doku is. but to To watch him put it together over 90 minutes like this, I don't think there's many times we've seen that in a city shirt so far and wow, how good was Doku on Wednesday?
00:06:19
Keelin
Listen, outside of that game against Bournemouth last season, which I think might have been his debut, this is the best game I've seen Jeremy Daku have for Man City, which is a massive and very welcome relief. And that's what I want to see from Daku, you know, I don't want to see him on the right hand side with Savino on the left. He's a left winger, keep him on the left.
00:06:40
Keelin
and let him do what he did against Nottingham Forest, terrorising the defence, running forward with intent, and even at the weekend against Liverpool, which obviously said he lost, even when he came on, you saw the difference, you know Trent backing off and backing off, not wanting anything to do with him, because Daku skinned him a couple of times. That is the kind of threat that you need on your wings. And when Jeremy Daku's allowed to play that role, he's one of the best in the league. There really is no debating that.
00:07:10
Keelin
And he had a brilliant, brilliant game. I'm glad he got his goal. Such a great goal as well, by the way. You know, I know you mentioned the top quality finish. And yeah, you know, finally the real Jeremy Daku has stood up and hopefully he continues this for the rest of the year because we will be a better team with him.
00:07:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think having ah a left winger that can attack a defence has already made the difference, isn't it? We had Grealish there, Nunez there, they are not players that can glide past people. Well, no one can do it like Daku, but I think there is a significant difference. But my favourite thing about Daku was the assist, because how many times have we seen him get in that position and on the and inside inside left channel,
00:07:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
20 odd yards out and he plays the wrong ball or he tries to do too much or shoots and it's rubbish. He took his time. Kev was in acres of space but that is a pass we don't normally see Dokku make and it was really promising to see him make that and hopefully if Kev can stay in the team and stay fit they can build up that connection between them because Dokku is dangerous. If he can find some composure in the final third like he had on Wednesday then I think City are going to be a completely different team.
00:08:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
So yeah, just to finish off, um give give give your summary of just how different the feeling is now around the club after that winner Wednesday.
00:08:31
Keelin
Well, it feels a lot better without diet. I think if you'd failed to beat Forrest, then there would have been a genuine crisis and on your hands. I mean, even with the final result, you could probably argue that as well. But with a good solid win against the team that are doing very well in the league, to be fair, it feels better and it feels like we've got our footing back. And that's what we needed.
00:08:56
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah absolutely and that'll do for part one. When we come back we will look ahead to City's trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
00:09:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello and welcome back to the Daily Manchester City Podcast on the Global Sports Podcast Network. We're here for

Tactical Analysis: City vs Palace

00:09:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
a Friday forecast episode and looking ahead to City's trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday.
00:09:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
We know that Crystal Palace have caused City a lot of issues over the years. and There's obviously that Andros Townsend won the goal that gets replayed every time the two teams play each other, and for good reason, what a goal. Elise, say, got a 95th minute equalizer last season as well. But this fixture is actually is' actually at the Etihad, where Palace normally cause City most of the problems. I think they probably have the best record of anyone in world football at the Etihad over the last five or six years.
00:10:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
But this is at Selhurst Park, where City are undefeated in the last nine, winning seven of them, won four two last year as well, with Kev getting two of those goals, Luego Lewis and Harlan getting the others. I think it's ah it's a good time to play Palace. Yes, they won their last game, but they're not anywhere near as fluid as they have been in recent seasons, mainly the loss of Alise to do with that. It's a lot of responsibility to Shoulder the creative burden of such a such a wonderful player and Katya has been brought in and Kamada to try and do it But they've they've not hit the ground running at all yet and as a still looks a bit sluggish to Matata is back in the goals though Would he be the biggest threat for you on Saturday Keelan?
00:11:03
Keelin
Yeah, as far as attacking threats go, I think Jean-Philippe Mateta is by far the biggest threat Crystal Palace pose. And it's no small threat either, you know, he is a legitimately dangerous target man. and Real sort of throwback number nine, you know, sort of the classic number nine that you really do love to see, you know, sort of backing up on the defense, able to play with ball to feet, you know, all that sort of stuff.
00:11:30
Keelin
and he's very, very good at it. You know, we see the goals scoring record, like you mentioned, he is back in the goals and he's not a threat that should be taken lightly. You know, Jean-Philippe Mateta will absolutely punish you if you are lax and if you're off it and City have to make sure that they are 100% focused on Saturday because they cannot afford to throw away cheap goals.
00:11:52
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, absolutely, which we've seen City do so so often this year. um
00:11:56
Keelin
Still recently, too.
00:11:56
Global Sports Podcast Network
it
00:11:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Palace actually have got a better defensive record than City in the Premier League this year, and Palace have only got How many points? 12. So I think thats that says a lot about both teams, because I think Palace are good defensively. I think where he and Lacroix, who they've brought in, are very good. I think where he's a fantastic centre-back. Replacing Joachim Anderson wasn't easy, but I think they've done that well. It's going forward where Palace haven't had a click this year, but um defensively they're very sound. and A lot of teams have found ways to shut shut City out this season, but that has been without Kev.
00:12:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
who Who else stands? oh well Actually, what do you make of Palace this season then? They're currently just outside the relegation zone. They've only lost one of the last six, but only one two of those as well. So what do you make of Glazen's team?
00:12:50
Keelin
Yeah, it's a massive shock, to be honest, because I really did think Palace would be better this year. and Admittedly, Michael Olese has been a really big miss. I don't think anybody can argue that. And I think losing Yaki Manderson to Fulham has been a huge loss as well in the middle of that defence. I know you mentioned Lacroix that's come in and he's done a very good job.
00:13:13
Keelin
but I do think Anderson held that defence together really well for large parts of last year and I just don't think they have fully replaced the solidity that he brought.
00:13:24
Keelin
so
00:13:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
and on the ball and on the ball is so good as well.
00:13:26
Keelin
um on the ball Exactly. Yeah, that's a very underrated part of Anderson's game. He is really good at bringing the ball like from defense to midfield and really linking up attacking play in that way. So it's it's interesting because I like Oliver Glasner and I like his style of football, but it just really hasn't clicked the season ah for Palace. And you kind of wonder, you know, are they going to be spenders in January? Are they going to look to sort of try and put pieces of the team back together? It'll be interesting to see.
00:13:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, and I think and they they they put a lot of eggs in the basket from with the summer signings, didn't they? And Cartier cost about $40 million, I think. you know ah They did get the money from Elise, but to have spent $40 million on a Premier League proven striker who's not scored yet, that is quite devastating.
00:14:16
Global Sports Podcast Network
And that's what I mean about it being a decent time to play Palace, because I do think there is there are some good players in there that maybe and in four or five months' time, they could be a lot they could be um a lot further up the table, let's say, with a lot more players in form, which they don't have at the moment. But of course, Palace know to get the job done over City, so it won't be an easy match whatsoever. What would your score prediction be, Keelan?
00:14:41
Keelin
Yeah, like you said, I think the big thing that makes me feel better about this is that it's a good time to play Palace. Normally, you know, I'm never optimistic going to Selhurst Park because it's just a nightmare of a place to go. But I do think this is probably the best time you're going to get to play Palace. And I think with the confidence that City will have got from the Nottingham Forest game, I think they will go and they will deliver.
00:15:07
Keelin
and i'm goingnna I still think City will concede because that's what our defence seems to do nowadays, just letting goals. But I see a 3-1 win for City, I think they go when they get the job done.
00:15:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
That is the same prediction I gave on the crossover episode, and it's the same prediction that the hosts, two of them, gave as well. So everyone from GSPN thinks City are going to beat Palace 3-1, which means, of course, that won't happen. So don't put any money on it. That'll do for our look ahead to Saturday's game. When we come back, we'll look ahead at some of the other fixtures in the Premier League.
00:16:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello and welcome back to the Daily Manchester City Podcast on the Global Sports Podcast Network. So let's look ahead at some of the other fixtures in the Premier League this weekend and there's no place to start other than the first game of the weekend and that is the Merseyside Derby. It's at Goodison. It's ah hopefully a good opportunity for Liverpool to drop some more points as City try and catch them.
00:16:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
um normally not a place that Liverpool do badly at but last time out Everton did win 2-0 which is the first time since 2010 Everton had won the emergency derby at home which is a horrifying statistic really. um Liverpool have only lost once since that match in April as well, which was at home to Forest. So they're looking to maintain their unbeaten away record in the Mergeside Derby. But as we all know, anything can happen in a derby. So Everton, boy, you don't have to win in 4-0 last time out, Keelan. Do you think they that's enough confidence for them to take on the mammoths of Liverpool?
00:17:08
Keelin
No, to be honest, I don't think so. And listen, I love Everton. i I really, really do like the club. And as much as I also like Wolves, I was happy to see Everton get a really good result. But I think they're going to get hammered by Liverpool, unfortunately, you know.
00:17:24
Keelin
Mo Salah is arguably the best player in the world at the moment just based on form. And hey him alone in an average team would probably get a good result against Everton. But when you look at the way they're playing as a whole, I can't see anything but a Liverpool steamroll. I'm going to say 4-0 Liverpool.
00:17:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
4-0, I didn't even ask for the prediction but there we go, yeah 4-0, I mean if Liverpool get anywhere near top gear then they're steamrolling everyone aren't they, they could have beat Real Madrid 4-0 so if you look at it like that, yeah, yeah well Real Madrid and City were both 2-0 and they were they were comfortable 2-0s as well weren't they, so yeah Liverpool looked phenomenal this season but
00:17:55
Keelin
kind have seen orel you know that's being sure Luckily they didn't, but they could've.
00:18:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
Everton, Everton would love to spoil the party, so come on come on the Blues, let's hope they get the job done there. Moving on, um we have Villa versus Southampton. ah Villa, similarly to City, just broke their seven-game winless run with ah with a win last time out, and playing bottom of the league Southampton, who don't look like they're going to be climbing any higher than that, and at least not in ah and in the foreseeable future. Do you see anything other than a Villa win here, Keelan?
00:18:43
Keelin
No, to be honest, I think Villa are too good, Southampton aren't good enough, should be a comfortable Aston Villa win here.
00:18:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I think so. Ollie Watkins got on the score sheet as well, breaking his recent goal-scoring drought. I think he's a great player, but he does miss a lot of chances. He's a very formed player, isn't he? Now he's back on the score sheet. Villa probably going to look like a completely different team again.
00:19:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
So yeah, they'll only four points below City as things stand. They're probably not to be counted out for the top

Premier League Predictions and Analyses

00:19:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
Champions League positions yet, I would think. After that, we have Brentford versus Newcastle, ah separated in the table by a solitary goal on goal difference. um Both got 20 points after 14 games so far. Brentford and 9th Newcastle in 10th.
00:19:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
Brentford also have the best home form in the league, winning all but one of their games so far and losing all but one of their away games. So they're at home this time out against Newcastle, will they extend their good home form Keelan?
00:19:44
Keelin
and I think they will, yes, but I don't think they'll beat Newcastle. I think it'll be a very entertaining draw. Newcastle, one of the best games of the season so far against Liverpool earlier this week. Brentford, like you said, are just the masters of their home at the moment. I think this is going to be a very, very highly highly entertaining draw.
00:20:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, i I'd be inclined to agree with you there. Eddie Howe was very happy with the way his team played against Liverpool. They went they went truly toe-to-toe with them, which not many teams have had the balls to do this year, and dad they ended up getting a good result out of it.
00:20:17
Keelin
Well.
00:20:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
Liverpool should have hung on, it was a mistake by your boy Callaha, but that's the first one he's made in the several months, so I won't be too hard on him because I know you won't like that. Next we'll move on to Man United at home to Nottingham Forest. So, Forest might have just stayed in the hotel in Manchester all week. um I don't see this result being too different to the last one, to be honest. and United easily dispatched Everton at home. Yes, and our Arsenal comfortably beat them on Wednesday, but I think the bubble might have burst a little bit with not Forest at the moment and um Man United do look renewed, especially some of the attacking players, Keelan.
00:20:58
Keelin
Yeah, I have to agree, but listen, up until the City Game, Forest have been really good, you know, Chris Wood's been one of the top scorers in the league, never thought I'd say that. I wouldn't discount Forest, but if you're asking me in the balance of odds, I think Man United should have enough to get the job done, but if anybody can upset it, it could be Forest.
00:21:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, definitely. It's there.
00:21:21
Keelin
I'm gonna allow you to revenge her.
00:21:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah Oh, he'd love it. He would celebrate so hard as well, wouldn't he?
00:21:27
Keelin
I'm coming out of IOR.
00:21:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
i say but Absolutely. um Moving on to Sunday's games, we have Fulham against Arsenal, which is ah of interest to City fans. Fulham have had a very strong start to the season. They're in that and that huge pack of teams in the middle that are barely separated by anything. They're in 12th at the moment.
00:21:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
But they're still only three points away from forest in sixth or four away from Brighton in fifth. So that can all change very quickly. and Arsenal have put it together over the last few weeks as well. They endured a pretty poor run, similar to City. But have won the last three and have looked really good doing it, Keelan. Where do you see this one going?
00:22:09
Keelin
Yeah, um I like Fulham and I like that they're starting to turn their form around, but Mikel Puelas will probably keep the run going. um Yeah, I think Arsenal are just too strong. and I think they'll run out comfortable winners here at Craven College.
00:22:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, and that would that would put them on four wins in a row. um Yeah, there's seven points off Liverpool at the moment, City and nine. the the whole The whole complexion of the table looks so different, even after just Liverpool drawing the last game, doesn't it?
00:22:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
Things can change so quickly in football.
00:22:42
Keelin
Yeah.
00:22:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
If you'd have offered City a nine-point gap at Christmas, last week, let's say, I think they'd have taken it. So it could it could even get shorter. Who knows? Next, we have Leicester vs Brighton. Ruud van Astraoui got off to a great start as Leicester manager over the last week, got his first win and on Friday was it against West Ham. Good 3-1 win, put West Ham in an even more precarious position. but Do you think Ruud is the right guy to turn them around?
00:23:16
Keelin
and I think he could be, but he has to sort the defensive issues out. Even when he was interim manager at Man United, he was involved in high scoring wins. And when you take over a lower quality team and you don't fix that, it spells trouble. So they're playing Brighton. I think Brighton will probably get the win here again, just because of quality. Leicester have a good team, but I just fancy Brighton's chances here.
00:23:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, Brighton have got so many attacking options as well, haven't they? it feel It feels like they start, other than Matoma, it feels like they start someone different every week and whoever it is, they're in absolute danger.
00:23:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
They've even got players like in CSO that barely played this year, you know, and well, City fans know what he can do.
00:23:55
Keelin
Mm.
00:24:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
But yeah, Brighton, Brighton looking strong here, only three points away from City, and they have a game in hand as well, so they they're there there or they're about to compete, and right at the top of the league, great start for Herzler there. Ipswich versus Bournemouth next up. Ipswich with a pretty heartbreaking loss at home against Crystal Palace last time out. um They've got to start picking up some more results at home, and do you see this game being the the first win of the season for them at Portman Road?
00:24:32
Keelin
No, not really to be honest again. I love Bournemouth. I think they're playing too good a football. I think they're too strong. Bournemouth away win here.
00:24:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, Bournemouth have pulled themselves just into that group I was mentioning earlier. They're only one point below Fulham in 13th at the moment, with a three-point gap to West Ham below them. So yeah, they they're a team definitely trying to look at the table rather than what's below them. But these are the type of games that Ipswich are going to need to start picking up results in, otherwise they could find themselves too far drift.
00:25:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
um when it really matters. And ah my my game of the weekend, and I'm sure a lot of other people's too, is Spurs versus Chelsea. Chelsea on an absolute heater at the moment where things tend to just be looking worse other than their wins over the overcity for Spurs at the moment. We know you like Ange, this would be a statement victory to turn the naysayers around when they're keeling.
00:25:29
Keelin
Oh, it would be a huge scalp frange pasta cobbler if he was able to get this done. Unfortunately, I don't think he is going to get it done because Chelsea are playing too good at the moment and that high line is just asking for trouble. Especially when you have Cole Palmer on the ball. Nicholas Jackson somehow looks really good now. Nonny Madweka, he's doing a madness cheat and Sancho looks really good.
00:25:54
Keelin
I mean if you're going to play that high line against Chelsea you are asking to get punished and I think Chelsea are going to punish them. I think it's going to be a Chelsea win.
00:26:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah We've seen ah how well Chelsea and Cole Palmer in particular did when Brighton played that high line against them. They absolutely tore them a new one. Cole Palmer was playing 50 yards in behind without even looking and the pace they've got out wide with Netto.
00:26:18
Global Sports Podcast Network
madwayka and Jackson yeah could be if spurs aren't really on it. and They're good enough to win this game, don't get it twisted. They definitely are, but Chelsea are in form. Even the sub players are looking confident. They've rotated a lot for the last match against Southampton and still scored five. you know They really are on on a heater at the moment. and They've won the last three. um they're They're in second place, only seven points off Liverpool. This week, Cole Palmer was asked if they oh and then zmarasco were asked if they were title contenders. They both said no. What what say you, Keelan?

and I think this season they're too inconsistent to be title challengers, but I would keep a very hot eye out for Chelsea next season because if they can put this all together and get it right, albeit they've spent the GDP of NATO with this point, and if they can put it all together properly, attack defence and midfield, they will be a force to be reckoned with. They are very, very strong at the moment.

I'm getting a lot of feelings of you know Arsenal maybe two or three years ago when they had this group of really young promising players and they all stuck together um under the same manager with the same ideas and then they all flourished. and now Arsenal have a collection of world-class players you'd say in Saka or Odegard Rice, you know they're all world-class where they probably weren't at the time and it feels like Chelsea are building something like that and like you say, yeah if even if this year is a bit too soon for them, I think they're going to be there and thereabouts for a few years to come.

which could be worrying from a city perspective, but we will finish on West Ham versus Wolves. Me and you specifically really backed West Ham before a ball had been kicked this year. How silly we've been made to look so far. I still feel like it's not over for Landa Patagey. I really feel like he could turn it round.

feroni They're just off that pack of teams in the middle that I was discussing earlier. They're currently 14 on 15 points but that's only eight away from Brighton in fifth and you know I know you can pick any stats to make your narrative sure but a few wins and it could all be different but they do look like an easy team to get out at the moment and Wolves need to play a team that are easy to get at because it looked like it was turning around for them, but then you can't lose the two games in a row they just did. 4-1 and 4-0 to Everton. Gary O'Neill probably needs to win this game, doesn't he Keeler? No, he's gone.
00:28:56
Keelin
Yeah, I think he does. But fortunately for Gary O'Neill, I think he will win it. and I think Wolves, despite being bad, I've seen signs of them being on form. You know, the likes of Mateus Cunha has been brilliant. You know, Jorgen Strand Larsson has been a real threat at times and they have been unlucky in areas. Whereas West Ham, I just have no idea what they're doing. So I think Wolves get this win and I think it could be the end of La Pategi at West Ham.

Yeah, it definitely feels like a bit of a death match between those two sides. And they've both they've both got good teams, you know? and They think it just goes to show the strength of the Premier League, doesn't it? Yes, they both have good teams, but you look at the other teams in the league, and it probably is two of the weaker sides.

Keelin
Yeah.

I know at the start of the season, we were really ging up West Ham's attacking talent, but ah really They've really not looked like they've had it. They still don't know who their favourite striker is. Antonio started most of the season. and They've just started Danny Ings for the first time in like over a year or something. Full Krug has been in and out of the team and injured. He did score um a consolation goal ah um this this midweek, but yeah and they need to turn things round and they need to turn it round fast.

ah But that will conclude our Friday forecast episode today. We've had a look at all the games coming up and City vs Palace and reminisced about City's first win in well over a month as well. And I'm sure that won't be the last time we talk about that and talk about how amazing Kevin De Bruyne is. Hopefully we'll be doing that after Saturday's game against Palace as well.
