Hello homies and trainers and welcome back to Unknown Radio, your mugs named production Pokemon talk show where we take a peek at every Pokemon. As always, I'm Claudia and I'm here with my buddy Catherine. Hi, I'll bring the pizzazz. I'm unhinged and Claudia brings the flax, the fax, and is also unhinged. Not back to the flax. The flax, the flax seed. Spend too much time with Clefairy, I'm a vegan now. I don't know. I mean, that's not a bad way to live, but this week we are venturing away from the moon and we are going to be doing number 37 in the Pokedex. And just one this time because there are two types of it and this is Vulpix.
00:01:07
Speaker
ah Do you know what his tagline is? The fire fox. So close. Just remove the fire. He's just the fox. Just the fox. Just the fox. But he is a fire type. He stands at two foot tall. He weighs 21.8 pounds, which equates to 9.9 kgs. Weird that he's the same height as Clefairy. He is the same height as Clefairy. I like that. I also thought Clefairy would be smaller.

Deep Dive into Vulpix

00:01:35
Speaker
Yeah, I don't know. This was just a little guy. Just a little guy. Just a little fox, a little foxy boy. So what does it look like? It looks like a fox, but with multiple tails. I believe he's got six, but I could be wrong. He does have six. Yes! Bang on first try. I love Vulpix. So you're right, he looks like a little fox, six tails, and then he has a little, another little quiff.
00:01:58
Speaker
a little quick we like a Yes, and like you said, his most distinctive feature is its six orange tails that are curled at the tips. like a little curly whirlly boy Looks very much like Squirtle's tail, not Squirtle, War Tortle, also Squirtle. Yeah, it does. And I like that. I like how curly a lot these Pokemon are. I love it. It gives them a little something, doesn't it? It does, doesn't it? And then the shiny version of Vulpips, instead of being that nice reddish brown color, its actual coat on its body is yellow. Oh, that's cute. Yeah, I do like the shiny Vulpips.
00:02:31
Speaker
Although the fact that it's yellow. As from the tagline, Vulpix are based on foxes, though in Japan there are legends concerning foxes, or kitsun as they are called there, one such legend, which is most relevant to Vulpix. is how multi-tailed kitsune can breathe fire, create illusions, and have extremely long lives. And after having concluded that life cycle, these creatures take on a spirit form, which may have been the reason why Vulpix and Ninetales can learn ghost-type moves. I love that!
00:03:07
Speaker
Isn't it good? Yeah. Like ghosty, fire-breathing fox. Yeah. That's a dream, right? And you know what would make it even better? What? If I give you a language fact right now. Oh, get in. So Vulpitz's name is a combination of Vulp's, which is Latin for fox, and six, referring to its six tails. but also the X in its name may also allude to Vulpix's evolution into nine tails. Can you think of anything? Why? Roman numerals IX is nine. Exactly. Which is the number of tails that nine tails has. Oh my God. I love it. That's amazing. Double whammy. All right. Are you ready to dive into him? I think so. Okay.
00:03:58
Speaker
This is very cute. I'm going to preface this. This is very cute. Vulpix are born with only one white tail. Oh, God. As they mature, their tail splits and turns into different shades of Vermilion that deepens the more affection the Pokémon receives. Oh, that's so cute. So if you see a real light pale tail, it's not had enough love. Yeah, it hasn't had enough love. Oh, that's so cute. It's like a little dipstick of affection. It is a dipstick. So the Vulpix have internal flames that never die out. Radiating heat throughout their fur, they may release flames from their mouths to expel excess heat and cool themselves down on hot days.
00:04:44
Speaker
sir It like pants like a dog. but It pants like a dog but fire comes out. i Can you imagine? Petting your dog and all of a sudden fire just comes out of his mouth. I i would, ah I don't know. That's awful. I would, I would wee. Or as you say, I would piss. I would piss. So imagine like you had one of these and like this would on paper be the best like cuddle buddy for nighttime. It would. Oh my God, imagine going camping with a little ball pit.
00:05:16
Speaker
Yeah, but then it will get too hot and then andt fire and set everything on fire and kill you. Oh, I was thinking more. It'd be like a hot water bottle. Like I have a list of Pokemon that I would love to have in real life, right? Yeah. This was on that list. Yeah, absolutely. Always. But I wouldn't be able to just snuggle it at night. I live in Florida and every day's a hot day here. Yeah, so I'd be absolutely buzzing in the winter. Yeah, you'd be fine. Yeah, that'd be amazing. It'd be best thing to have. You're gonna live my life for me.
00:05:48
Speaker
Damn straight. You can have the cold one. I might have the cold one. That might actually, when we get into it, that might be, we'll have like little Vulpix friends. Oh, string country. So the Vulpix often attacks foes with fire type techniques, such as Flamethrower and Ember, you know, the only two fire type moves. But they also have control over a few ghost-type moves like Confuse Ray, Hex, and Grunge. Ooh, I like that. Which I guess will go back to that the idea of the kit soon and taking on a spirit form. And I think that's really cool. I like that. I like it when, as always, I like it when there's mythology involved, when there's like a true backstory. We love a myth with a backstory. I do love a myth. A myth and a legend. And a cryptic.
00:06:39
Speaker
Walk into a bar. So the Vulpix are often associated with the attack will-o-wisp, which they use to chase down prey, to escape from foes. They may feign injury to buy themselves time to flee. So they're like, him that is it a possum that plays dead? Yeah. Like in a possum that plays dead or like when dogs will pretend that they're limping to get sympathy from their owners. Oh yeah. Oh, that's cute. i I would piss if I was just chasing after one of these and it just acted like it was dead. I'd panic. Oh my god, I killed it! I killed it! I'm the worst person in the world! Save me! I'd still keep it though. Yeah, it's coming home with me. We'll get to that later. I have a lot of taxidermy. I'm fine with the dead Vulpigs. Anyway.
00:07:30
Speaker
Though they generally make their homes in grassy plains, as fire types, Vulpix can be found near volcanoes in large populations, and curiously enough, also near cemeteries such such as Mount Pyre in Hohen. Ooh. Mmm. Suspicious. Spooky. I like that it says that, but none of the Pokedexes say why or how. I don't feel like you just, sometimes you just have to accept things. And I feel like that's what I've learned doing this podcast. I just, I want a reason. I want a reason for it. They're just what it is. This is spirit, you know? Spirit on the inside, toasty on the outside. Exactly.
00:08:13
Speaker
Can't tame his free spirit bro. So Vulpix can spew fire that is said to resemble lost souls, leading many to believe that they have a very close tie with the spirit world. Yep, checks out. dig Dig into that. Like, do they spew fire that is like the shape of your loved ones or just dead people? I was just thinking it was a bit wispy. oh I wasn't thinking it that deep. Jesus Christ. I was thinking it to be deep. Like you come across a Vulpix and it breathes fire on you and then it's your scary old uncle. He didn't even like when he was alive. He's like, hey girly and just scares us.
00:08:54
Speaker
Just walk it around.
00:08:59
Speaker
No. I'd definitely run then, you know. I see dead people. Oh, Vulpix does see dead people and makes other people also see those dead people. Vulpix likes to share. It's fair. Not keep it inside. So the young Vulpix grow quite attached to their trainers, much like their relatives Growlithe. Like what? Yeah. They grow quite attached to their trainers, much like their relatives, Growlithe. They're related to Growlithe? Yep. That was the bit that I was concerned about. It wasn't the growing attached to their owners. It was the fact that them and Growlithe had cousins or something.
00:09:42
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, it would make sense. Like one's a fire dog, one's a fire fox. And then in certain games, depending on which version of the game that you get, you either get a Vulpix or you get a Growlithe in your specific version. Yeah. It makes sense, but I don't, I don't like it. They're

Exploring Alolan Vulpix

00:10:00
Speaker
cousins. I don't, yeah. and Like imagine the family thingy. Like imagine the family reunions. It would be... I think it would be on fire. Yeah, an Arcanine and a Ninetail is just on spit roast in some kind of, I don't know, something. Rattatas. A whole lot of Rattatas for our dinner tonight, kids. I'd love to see a Vulpix and a Growlithe play. I quite like that.
00:10:32
Speaker
Yeah, I suppose it would be quite cute, but I always think of Growlers of just being huge. I think they're right. We'll get there, but I think they're round about the same size. Yeah. Okay. All right. And the coolest thing about our little Vulpix is that they have a different form. o who So Alola introduced a new version of Vulpix, who is also the fox Pokémon. What does this one look like? Icy. Yeah. It's just like a white version, but like I always feel like its head and its tails are more floofy. Yeah, it's like a fancy boy. Yeah.
00:11:13
Speaker
Like, you know those old, timey French wigs? Yes. The curly ones, you know what I mean. Like a little judge wig. Like a little judge wig. Or a Mary Antoinette. Is she the one with the big wig? I think so. yeah You know what I mean. So it's like a normal Vulpix, but just a little bit fancier and a little bit French-coded. She's my yeah cousin from France. Oui oui. And bonjour. So the regular one is white and blue-ish, and then the shiny version is white and blue-ish, but has a little bit of a tinge of purple. Imagine if the shiny version was just red. Like, that would really throw you.
00:11:59
Speaker
Oh, that would be great. And even better if like the shiny normal Vulpix was white. Yeah, that'd be cool. I'd love to see that. I'm going to draw that ah just to see it. So the Alolan Vulpix is an ice type, much like sandshrew and sandslash. Also two foot tall and weighs 21.8 pounds, which again is 9.9 kgs. They weigh exactly the same. Yeah, they're just different colours, aren't they? And one breeds snow, I assume. And one breeds fire, one breeds snow, and one's a lot fancier than the other one. I will call that your champagne, mon ami.
00:12:36
Speaker
ah we we Oh, ah vobis yeah el vo ah that's kind of cute. Yeah, he's actually not. So the Alolan form of Vulpix is based on Arctic foxes as both live in cold environments and have white fur and the tuft on Alolan Vulpix's head that you love so much resembles snow clouds. Oh, I like him. I really like him. He cute. And guess what? What? Got another language fact for you? Yes, get in.
00:13:10
Speaker
So it's a lowland name, which is Kio Kio, which is what the lowlands would call it. Maybe derived from Kio Kio, which is Hawaiian for white. Oh, that's cute. Yeah, that's really cute. They're doing that thing again when they really like dive into the Hawaiian culture and the Hawaiian language to like give a premise for the Pokemon that live there. And I love it. I'm obsessed with it. Yeah, I love that. like I feel like they need to do that. They need a bit of but culture. A bit of myth. Are you ready for a bit of backstory for this bit of myth? Oh, yeah. It is believed that Vulpix initially came to Alola by boat alongside people. However, they were outcompeted in open fields by the species that live there, forcing them to the furthest reaches of their ranges on the mountains.
00:14:02
Speaker
so So they were a bit of an invasive species, but they did not succeed in being an invasive species. So they failed, is all I'm hearing. Yeah, they did fail. And then this kind of change in, you know, Vulpix and, you know, when it's born, it's born with a white tail, right? So they kind of changed the way that it evolved. So trainers who have raised Vulpix may know that they are initially born with single white tails. yeah Scientists believe that in the snowy mountains, albino Vulpix that never developed pigments were actually selected for because their whiteness helped them avoid detection. That's awesome. So they're like purposely bred out regular Vulpix to stick. I wouldn't say albinoism. This is more leucistic because they have blue eyes, but I'm not going to get into that. But the fact that they chose that.
00:14:58
Speaker
survival of the fittest to have that genetic anomaly be their normal. I like that. I think that's good. Yeah, me too. So they're not unloved. Don't worry, they are not unloved. They are not unloved. They are just lusistic. They are enlarged. Indeed, the Alolan Vulpits were initially called Kyokyo by native Alolans because they just called them the white ones. That makes sense. so Yes. And these Pokémon live in packs of two to five individuals known as a Skulk atop mountain peaks. A little Skulk. A Skulk of Vulpix. That's cute. I like that. And they help each other find food and shelter in their barren environments. Each Skulk is led by the lowland Ninetales, which, though not always visible, is almost always nearby and ready to defend the group.
00:15:48
Speaker
Yeah, I wouldn't want to mess with them. The little ones are cute, but the big ones can really do some serious damage. Absolutely. I'd still mess with them though. Oh, completely. Just go grab one and run away. This is my white one. ah So their breasts can reach temperatures as low as minus 58 degrees Fahrenheit, which is minus 50 degrees Celsius. thank you Freezing prey solid. Damn. Oh damn. you yeah you definitely get frostbite from this one with a sand slash you just frostbite central yeah like i'm losing a foot yeah who you lose more than your foot you might lose your life no just freeze yourself i'm only gonna freeze my foot there the rest of you is running away just leave the foot behind cut it off cut it and run
00:16:43
Speaker
so So when they're in warmer areas, Alolan Vulpix will spray shards of ice from their tails to cool themselves off. Tiny flecks of ice can be seen springing from strands of their fur when observed under a microscope. so cut yeah So kind of like how the other one has to pan to cool off. Yeah, this one has to, you know, spray themselves with shards of ice to keep cool, which I want to see what that looks like. I feel like you need that in the summer.
00:17:15
Speaker
This would be very, the humidity and the heat here. And if I got to just have like one of these guys just fanning me with their tail. Oh my God, but with the ice as well. It's like when you put water in front of a fan. So good. Oh man. They had those at Disneyland. I wouldn't need one of those. I would just have one of these as my service animal. Look at you guys with your fancy fins. I got a fox. I got a fox that is wet on me. It's always wet. It's wet on me. I love him. Okay, so this one's definitely mine. Yours is definitely the other one. Well, yeah, I need warming up. Warming up on them cold, cold English nights. You get a nice toasty ball pics to do it with. Do you think he'd roast my marshmallows? Oh, he would absolutely roast your marshmallows. Oh, what an absolute gent.
00:18:04
Speaker
You ready to move on to our question section? Our question no section, no. All right. So we'll start off back at Mount Moon. You know, you you just had your run in with the Clefairy's and you're a vegan now and you're heading away from the mountain. You come across a little graveyard and you're looking over it, you know, it's sad, whatever. And a little Vulpix just sticks its head out from behind a gravestone. What would you do? Oh, I'd want him. I don't know how. But I want him, I want to take him home with me and I want him to be my friend. Just straight up foxnap. Just straight up foxnapping, under my arm, maybe even in a bag. Just imagining,

Practical Uses of Vulpix

00:18:43
Speaker
you know, like in the old school movies where they burgled stuff, you just get a bag and just scoop them up, put it over your shoulder and run.
00:18:50
Speaker
for like a swag bag full of Vopixes. And you become that thing on in the Spyro games that scoops up the eggs in the bag and is like, like running away. That's you. but All right, so we're going back. Oh, Bugle Bill. That's That's who I am. You are Bugle Bill. So we're back to your nice little, you know, we have this often just vacation that you have in a Lola. Good for you. I'm doing well now. Yeah, you're going back to visit, you know, let your nice little Sandshrew meet his friends again. Nice for a nice little play date.
00:19:31
Speaker
um So you're up in those mountains you have permission of course from the the tourist bureau to be up there. So as you're wading through the snow you know being guided by sand slash gleaming in the snow you see what looks like a little puff of snow and then out pops a little head and it is an Alolan Vulpips. What would you do? Once again, I want to take him home. I don't know how, I don't know why, but he's coming home with me. I'll put him in the bag with my other Volpix. We're not with the other Volpix because I feel like the hot one would melt the cold one. Yeah, or vice versa. Yeah, but I won them both. I then maybe ship the yeah icy one to you. You have to sneak it, sneak contraband out of a Lola, smuggle it out. Oh, exactly. And he'll be on the next flight to Florida.
00:20:19
Speaker
in one of those nice little freezer boxes. Yeah, that meat gets delivered in. Yeah. Yeah, polystyrene, but with holes in so it can breathe. We're not animals. And a snack. And a snack. Yeah. All right. So what function do you think both of these would have other than battling? Right, so ah regular Vulpix, he's a hot water bottle, he's a fire lighter. He is going to probably stop the heating crisis we got going on. Oh, absolutely. Would you reckon he could also help with a train, like a steam train? how Oh, like at the front breathing fire on the coals yeah to make the steam. He probably could.
00:21:04
Speaker
Like he could, we could maybe even bypass the coals and just have him create the steam, right? Just sit in there. You'd have to like spray water on him. You'd have like quite a few of them, obviously. Like there wouldn't just be one Vulpix, but like he could potentially run a train. You know like when you play with a dog and you get like a hose pipe, you're like, oh, oh, and they're going, nah, nah, nah, nah, trying to eat the water. Yeah. You could do that. Just make a little game for them. And then every time they get it, they steam a little bit. Yeah. And the train goes, hoo hoo. And then you make the noise. That's your job for the train. Yay! And then Alolan, I mean, he could be in Tesco food delivery trucks. Absolutely. He's going to keep you cold. He's your personal air conditioning system. Put him at Disney. Yeah. Call off the people when they're in the queues.
00:21:58
Speaker
And also for both of them, going back to um like a therapy fox. Oh, so you can just decide if you want a hot one or a cold one that day. Also, hit me out. Works for a sports team. Right. So say you've hurt your leg, your pockets just curls up onto your leg for you for a bit. You could alternate ice and heat. They always say alternate high ice and heat. Perfect. pi lock Pick up a different fox. Beautiful. Yeah, and you could just cuddle them. Like that'd be a nice way to recover. And it's like the part, because you know when you have a blanket and you want to be like kind of half out of the blanket, half under the blanket? Yeah. Just have a Vulpix under each arm. Yeah. Then you can roll, roll whichever way. If you're too hot or you're too cold. Another function, right? Stick with me for this one. Okay.
00:22:49
Speaker
Like a a medium. A medium? Yeah, you know like the people that- Oh god, yeah! I forgot about the ghost bit! Yeah, you could have like a whole TV show where people are really struggling with loss, and then you can breathe some fire. Boom, there's Grandma. Just like how she went. In fire and very angry. Oh damn, she's back. That'd be great. Solving murders. Yeah. Oh my god. Yeah, they can come back and tell us who killed them. So. Oh my god.
00:23:22
Speaker
Officer Jenny has their relative Growlithe, right? Makes sense, police dog. She should also have one of these to help solve murder. Yeah, but I like i don't know how many murders go on in Pokémon Town. Yeah, they seem more bothered about missing Pokémon, honestly. They do, don't they? I feel like you could get away with a lot of murders in Pokémon City. I mean, we already have so far. We've killed a lot of people. We have. Yeah. Yeah, that could be a use for them. It could be, and I like that actually. Yeah. Oh my god, imagine him dressed as a little policeman. With a little hat. Yeah. A little jacket that says K9. Get out, I've got this idea.
00:24:05
Speaker
I love it. Yeah. And then the other one could also be used in law enforcement. Because you know, when they come across like a crime scene when someone's died, right? Yeah. They only have a certain amount of time to conduct forensics because of course the body decomposes. Not if it's cold. Not if it's cold. That's good. Exactly. And then could also use that like frosty breath to kind of find, you know, like if something is, was cold and you put your hand on it, right? And then it You know, it warms up. But then if you breathe on it, you see the hand print again. Yeah. There you go. Together. Together they'll solve a murder. Together? They're unstoppable. Yeah.
00:24:46
Speaker
But the ghost goes to say, I don't think you can have them both together.

Vulpix's Eating Habits and Hypotheticals

00:24:51
Speaker
No, I don't think you can. Although they did meet in the anime, didn't they? They did. And I did see that movie elemental. Yeah, exactly. So... It's possible. It is possible. Difficult, but possible. Together they will make steam. Hot Romeo and Juliet. Yeah, be very steamy. Put them together, you have a sauna. That's steamy. Hot steam. Oh, God, I love a sauna. There you go, twofer. ah All right. What do they eat? Berries. Oh no, you got my answer. Um, I reckon they eat like animals too. Like I reckon they eat catapy. Yeah. They're definitely like a strike me as a meat eater. Yeah. It would drink. Was it a metapod that's liquid? o oh so i' lu I've not stopped thinking about it. Okay. I need you to remember it, Tate. Slurp that right out of the shell.
00:25:41
Speaker
and Shove a straw in it. Ugh. Disgusting. Well, foxes are very like scavengy animals, right? Yeah, so I reckon it's a scavenger. Yeah, go in the trash cans. Yeah. You leave out, they'll get in your bins and then you know you got one in your garden so then you just got to leave out, you know, a little bit of milk, maybe some leftover like cheese out for the fox. Just a little bit of cheese but like it said that the Alolan one has quite a barren place to live so I reckon it eats literally anything it gets hands on. Oh yeah, definitely fish though. Oh yeah.
00:26:14
Speaker
My dad would like these because he likes to shoot ah squirrels and pigeons in the back garden and then leave the dead bodies out in the grass. And then the fox comes out because we have a family of foxes that live there and they come and take the what my dad killed back to their babies. OK. I don't know what to say to that. Yeah, they could live in your parents garden. And they would feed them forever. They would. It would be beautiful. Could we eat Vulpix? Yeah. Not even a second. Not even one second. Yeah, it's a fox. It's a fox. We could eat it. Yeah. I wouldn't want to. Okay, so hear me out. We haven't done a ghost Pokemon yet, but we don't mimic you. But other than that, in this like main, you know, journey we're going on. Yeah. So... is Vulpix is technically not a ghost Pokemon, but it does have these ghost-like abilities. right Would you get cursed? Only by your dead grandma. Oh, so I'll be fine. Yeah. Yeah. She'd curse me in Scottish. Yeah, exactly. Like, it'll all be fine.
00:27:22
Speaker
Yeah, and he's not a true ghost type, so still edible. And if you're in the Alola Mountains, you're going to be hungry. You're going to eat whatever you can. Yeah, exactly. Like, I feel like it's not ghosty enough to be worried about being cursed. You think it's just edible. The only thing I'm worried about, if it has an internal flame... Oh, will it explode? Yeah. It will either explode or already be perfectly cooked. Oh, imagine a nice medium rare Vulpik steak. Mmm. See, that one's already cooked. This one's not going to go off. It's just going to stay cold. Yeah. Do you want to keep it in the fridge? Ideal. So yes, we could eat them. Okay. All right. I tried to get you off the track, but I'm now even more on the track than I was before I started to try and take you off of it. All right. That's snack.
00:28:10
Speaker
Okay, so you are wondering, you know, you just had that weird bar fight in that weird space bar. You're going past this graveyard. There's a church open and people are having nice mulled wine and, you know, a bit of a party in this church. Probably there was a funeral, but, you know, you can crash it. It's fine. No no one knows everybody at a funeral. Yeah. So you're drinking your mulled wine. It's free, so, you know, tough hours same money you've had way too many. And ah you're stumbling out in the graveyard and you accidentally kick a little Vulpix in the face. Obviously, you've hurt his feelings a little bit. And when you look at him, you notice that his tail is not very bright, so he hasn't been shown much affection.
00:28:56
Speaker
Yeah, so he's a little bit feral. Who would win in that fight? The thing is, I feel sorry for it. I just want to hug him and tell him he's going to be okay. But um if he doesn't breathe far on me, I could beat him. Yeah. Yeah, the fire is the only thing I do worry about because I am not fire resistant. No, and you're not going into this fight with fire resistant outfit on. Well, no, I've just been to a funeral. Come on, I'm classy. I'm all black. Yeah, no, I don't know. I like to think if I could sneak up behind it and drop something on its head, I'd win. Bag it.
00:29:30
Speaker
Yeah, but if it breathes fire on me then I'm probably out. a You just have to try and just throw it some food and show it some love so it doesn't attack you would probably be. Yeah, I reckon try and kill it with kindness. Yeah, or it's gonna breathe fire and then all of your dead relatives are gonna come spewing out of its mouth and give you untold trauma. Yeah, so it could go either way for me. and One of us is gonna get hurt, basically. All right, so back in Alola, you're back at, you remember you're a nice, you know, Hawaiian tiki bar? Oh yeah, do I do, I miss that place. Yeah, we're back, we're back maybe. Not the ice bar, and there's a reason for this. So you're in your little tiki bar and you're having a good time, having a a lot of drinks. ah You stick your hand right down into like a big thing of ice to get out.
00:30:20

you know, another drinky drink. And instead, you grab very hard onto an Alolan Vulpix who's in there, doing just doing his job. Yeah. And ah he jumps out. You've hurt him and his feelings a little bit. Who would have went in that fight? Me. Because I'd throw him outside. So then, yeah, he might be able to breathe ice, but it's so hot out there. We're in Hawaii, for God's sake. See, I wanted to give you, yeah, I wanted to give you a little bit of a fighting chance because in that snow bar, that was too much. ah You don't have powers and so you can also have the environment against you. Yeah. So if I was in an ice bar, I'd be like, look, mate, I'm sorry. Have some berries on me because I've always got a pocket full of berries. But you know, in a tiki, I'd throw him outside into the heat. He's hot. He's going to start throwing ice. He's distracted. Bam. Drop kicking.

Yeah, just bury him in the sand. Honestly, call it quits. Exactly. What's he gonna do? Nothing. Because he's too hot. Also me when I'm in the heat. Can't do anything. Absolutely useless. Alright, we've come to our end of our little trip with the Vulpixes. Next episode we are going to evolve the both of them and see what happens.

What do you think about these two? I mean, I loved them before. I think I loved them more, but also I feel like I didn't... I love the language facts. I love the myth that the original Vulpix comes from. But I feel like there's not really a lot to them.

it They're just cute. I wish they got more into like, oh yeah, they have this, they actually do have this weird connection to the spirit world. And this is why, this is where they came from. Yeah. I wish that they had that too, because that would make it more interesting. It would give it a little sun and something rather than it just being a cute Pokemon. Yeah. Because they're not even that strong. like the Yeah. Yeah. all All of the makings was there. They just didn't follow through with it. Yeah, like if they'd have gone as deep as they went with Clefairy, oh my god, can you imagine it would be ideal. Fantastic. Yeah, I just feel like they could have done more with the backstory. They could have made it more interesting. I think they should have made the Alolan version a ghost type instead of an ice type. And then it could have been, oh yeah, when they came here, they had to go here and then it unleashed what was actually inside of the Vulpix the whole time. See that would have been Spirit Fox.

That would have been so good, yeah. And really let like really leaned into the mythology side of it. I think that would have been really good. Yeah, because in the in the myth, the kids soon, after concluding their life cycle, they take on a spirit form. If the other version was the spirit form... That would be amazing. Golden. Yeah. And that would have really made something, but I just feel like it's just one of those that is just cute. Yeah, it's just cute. And it's kind of cool when you evolve it, but... But yeah, wait, it's not really got a lot. It's not, it's not very deep, quite shallow. Iconic, but shallow. Yeah. Love it. All right. We're evolving it next week. Trying to think of, in my mind is just the song, the three six nine, damn she fine. That's not correct.
