Harry Kane, England captain. Lots of rumours that he may be ending his time Bayern Munich. Alan Shearer has come out and really recommended that Liverpool should should go in for Harry Kane and bring him in.

Kane is 31 years old. England's top scorer. He is England captain. He's on his, I mean, if he does come back to the Premier League, and I think that he would want to come back to the Premier League at some point, if only to try and chase down Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League record.

just continued. you've got to feel for him. But, you know, he's carried on this season, to be fair to him. 32 goals in 37 appearances. And it does look that Bayern Munich are odds on for the Bundesliga. They're on course to win the Bundesliga title.

Kane's Motivations and Liverpool's Interest

And, you know, does that mean that he he's then motivated to carry on with Bayern Munich and, you know, just continue to break records to score more goals, to win more silverware, because he stays in Germany, he is going to be fighting for the Bundesliga every single season.

And if they win the Champions League, you know, that that will spur Bayern Munich on, you know, to to be more competitive in Europe. Or does Harry Kane think, well, you know what? i I wanted to go abroad. I wanted to win something. I wanted to try something different.

I've done that. I can't do more than winning the domestic league, winning the Champions League, and then winning the Ballon d'Or. Now is the time to come back to England to go to one of the top clubs.

So, you know, there's there are things to consider there for Harry Kane. And reports in both Germany and Spain suggest that Kane is seriously considering a return to England.

Now, in terms of his contract situation, he's got a release clause of 65 million pounds, which I think comes down to 56 in the winter, in the January transfer window.

But 65 million pounds... That is, look, he's a proven goal scorer. Yes, he's 31 years old, but I think we've said before on this podcast that that 30-year-old kind of benchmark of a player maybe not being as good as he used to be or he's now on a downward trajectory.

I don't know if that is... is is a hard and fast rule now you know players are so fit now Harry Kane is one of them he's he's super professional he's really really respected in that Bayern Munich dressing room and that's not a dressing room that you win over easily uh plenty of managers and players have have found that out but You know, for all intents and purposes, Harry Kane is seen as a model professional in that Bayern Munich dressing room.

And he does look after himself. He's he's very, very fit. He hasn't had serious injuries of late. I remember in England, he did used to have ankle injuries.

That seems to not have reoccurred. And, you know, he's banging in goals every single week. And so he, I think, is still someone that would, I think, be an attractive proposition for for for most Premier League clubs.

The other thing to bear in mind is that Harry Kane never, he never had pace. So he he's not a striker that's going to lose pace. He just never had pace. That was never his...

His strong point, he's his strong point was putting the ball in the back of the net, which is why even when he was at Spurs, he would be the the player that would drop back into a deeper position, into a kind of number 10 position and play those balls out wide to the quicker players like Son with with Kane coming back in and then finishing off those moves.

So for him to come back into the Premier League, i I do think i think it's feasible. Now, would Liverpool be one in a position to sign him?

Would they want him? and And would FSG sanction a move for a player like Harry Kane, given that he is 31 years old, given the kind of status that he has in the English game.

Kane's Fit in Liverpool's Style

So would Liverpool, would FSG, who are stalling on a contract renewal for someone like Mohamed Salah, who is who is a phenomenal goalscorer for Liverpool and one of the all-time greats, and they are dragging their heels in terms of that contract negotiation, would they then turn around pay £65m to buy in Munich and give Harry Kane £250,000, £300,000 a week.

I'm not sure. I'm not sure if the if the maths add up for Liverpool for FSG. I think purely from a footballing perspective, I think it could work.

You know, Liverpool do play a a slightly different style under Arnie Slott. And I think that maybe that means that you don't have to have that kind of all out blistering pace in that forward line.

You know, he's he's come through Liverpool's academy, which is an excellent academy. he's He's grown up around a world-class manager like Jurgen Klopp. He's grown up around world-class defenders like Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matic before him, Ibrahima Kanate, Trent Alexander-Arnold, you know, the list goes on, Andy Robertson, and the goalkeeper, Alison Becker.

All of these guys would have been part of Kwanzaa's defensive education. as he's come through the ranks at Liverpool. And so at 22 years old, he's a young player, but he's experienced quite a bit at Liverpool already.

I think that Liverpool would, if they were to sanction this sale, I'd i'd be looking at at least, I'd say 40 to 50 million. I don't think less than 40 million pound.

Look, he's young, he's English. The fact that he's English, there's an automatic 10 million pounds English tax on that fee straight away. And so you could argue that he's worth 30 million pounds, but I don't think they'll get Kwanzaa for 30 million pounds. I think you're looking at more towards a 40, you know, possibly 50 million pounds mark.

So do Liverpool sell? I think that until a replacement is found for Trent at right back, I think that Kwanzaa stays.
