But principal owner John W. Henry, Tom Werner and Mike Gordon have released a statement celebrating that 15 year landmark and they've put out a message for the Liverpool fan base, which is on the website. I'm going to read that out for you now.

I think that, you know, in in this day and age, I think it's easy to be cynical and to kind of not take these kind of things seriously, that it's just kind of a kind of PR stunt.

but But I think when you read that statement, I do really get the sense that I believe the ownership. I really believe them when they say that you know, the moments that but really stick out. Obviously, the Champions League victory and the and the Premier League titles are, you know, they take precedent.

But they do mention Kenny Dalgleish. They make sure that we don't forget the fact that, you know, he won that first trophy for the ownership group back in 2012.

I don't know if controversy is right word, but you know people weren't happy we yeah by the way that he was dismissed after winning that trophy. But I think that that was always the plan with FSG.

I think Kenny Dalgleish in that moment where he took over the club and really stabilised the club, one that I don't think they expected him to do as well as they did.

And it was almost... I wouldn't ought't say they didn't want him to do well, but he he didn't fit the model of what a manager in the FSG era would be.

and And that manager was a modern manager in the mould of a Brendan Rodgers, which obviously didn't work out, but then obviously Jurgen Klopp and then Arnie Slott.

But look, he gets a mention. as someone who effectively set the ball rolling for the FSG era, getting that first trophy in 2012.

and twelve He mentions, or so as I should say they mentioned the WSL titles won by Matt Beard. And they've also mentioned the things that they've got wrong.

You know, they've they've said off the field, there've been times we've got things wrong and we know that and we've learned from from it. And even closing off, you know, thank you to the fans for believing in the team through every high and low and for telling us when we've fallen short.

And, you know, I i think that's a genuine and a sincere statement by the ownership, recognition that when they have got it wrong.

The fans have been very clear and very vocal and that the ownership have taken that on board and and they've listened. And i think yeah you've got to give people credit for that. There are plenty of ownership groups in the Premier League, in football, in Europe, across the world where, you know, fans can protest and they're not happy with the ownership and the ownership just doesn't care.

they They don't even get a reply. you just only have to look at Manchester United to see what kind of ownership we could have had. So that's it. That's the statement that was released by fsg to mark 15 years of their stewardship of the club.
