Speaker: Hey Ben, making a podcast is pretty tough, right? Yeah, you gotta like record stuff and then you gotta upload it and it sucks. I know, it's a fucking bummer and it's a lot of effort, but I just found out about Anchor .fm, which lets you record and edit directly through their website or app, as well as upload and publish to platforms such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.

Speaker: So Anchor .fm is not a porn site, right? Not yet, because it's still free, too. So you know they'll start charging once they got only fan style content. Well, that's good. That's good to hear. So if you want to jump on the train before it's all titties and pussies, download the anchor app or go to anchor .fm to get started. Hey, your favorite Coaster Sucks listeners, we want to take a quick sec to talk to you about Patreon.

Speaker: Do you have a dollar sitting around your house right now? Well, if so, you should join our Patreon at patreon .com slash your favorite coaster sucks. What else are you going to do with that dollar? There's not a whole hell of a lot you can do with it. But I'll tell you with that dollar, you can join our monthly zoom calls. Those are so much fucking fun. Aren't they, Ben? Hell yeah. Pay for friendship. It's what we're all doing nowadays.

Speaker: Hey man, it's community. We got a nice little community here built up. And yeah, it's behind the paywall, but a buck a month. We think almost anyone can handle that, right Ben? Oh yeah. You can't even get like a McChicken unless you like live in a state with no sales tax. So why not throw it our way?

Speaker: Throw us literally a bone at patreon .com slash your favorite coaster sucks. Welcome to the worst roller coaster podcast on the internet. Now let's join Ben and Zach as they tell you why your favorite coaster sucks. I'm Zach and my red ball hangs a little bit lower. I'm Ben and I'm trying to bring the sky rush method to porn.

Speaker: You eject your seat. I don't even know what that means, but too much air time. I don't know. Welcome back to your favorite ghost, your sucks, where we take a dump on top thrill dragster just for fun. Or or like sit on it and make it disappear.

Speaker: For my next trick. The entire couple of dragsters. Oh, boy. I started off on power tower is like a. Actually, I started off doing wicked twister and then I moved the power tower and then I was ready for top real dragster. I feel like wicked Twister might be the worst.

Speaker: Yeah, I don't even know how that would work. Because of the like ganks in the track. It's a feature. Twisted for his pleasure. I have no idea.

Speaker: Well, how are we doing? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, damn it. What what the fuck is there to fucking roller coasters? What? People not having fun on YouTube and. Yeah. Although, hey, the event is getting closer, so that's cool. Yeah, yeah. So I know everybody in the goddamn world is in Orlando right now. And who gives a shit?

Speaker: You know, but some of us aren't and that's fine too. And we're grateful for that.

Speaker: Yeah, no, it's great. You know, it's great about not living in Orlando. Every time I'm home, I'm not in Florida. Right. Exactly. And I know Orlando people like to justify and be like, well, Orlando is like barely Florida. No, it's Florida. It's no, it is Florida. I feel like like the definition of Florida has changed dramatically because of Orlando. Like, I mean,

Speaker: People, I would say more people go to Florida for Orlando than they do for Miami. And then it depends on the type of people. Well, yeah. Yeah. But I'm talking like, you know, your typical like classic Americana, they're going to Disney.

Speaker: Um, Florida is definitely more than just seniors in flipped cars and rednecks eating live Gators now. It also has pretty much every single franchised, uh, brand in the country in one spot. I mean, every, it's funny, like Orlando is the Mecca of chain restaurants.

Speaker: And it's fun. I always get a kick out of fucking shownies there. Who the fuck has shownies? Fucking Orlando. And like it's always funny, too, because like I always see on Facebook, like it's like, oh, we're going to the opening of insert franchise chain. It's just kind of like kind of funny. Yeah, the last one was just it was White Castle. Bucky's.

Speaker: There's been a there was a four hour wait at the fucking White Castle. Get the fuck out of here. I feel like White Castle is only like, see, like some of those places have atmospheric conditions that need to be perfect in order for it to be enjoyable. And for me, White Castle is always something where.

Speaker: I imagine the like, like the certain white castles that have like the full like bulletproof, um, counter where you have to put the food and the money in the sliding, um, you know, the sliding tray. Oh yeah. And it's like 3 AM and you're fucked up and it's like negative 20 outside. That's, that's the white castle experience I want not outside of a bunch of palm trees. And well, regardless of the,

Speaker: fucking bulletproof glass and the negative 20. The experience definitely has to be you're fucked up. And if you're waiting in a line for four hours, you can't be fucked up because you can't join a line fucked up. And then four hours later, you're at the end of the line. You're not fucked up anymore. You're going to be like, God, you have sobered up to the point where you go, God, damn it. I'm at White Castle. Fuck.

Speaker: Plus, like, I don't know, ordering White Castle and flip flops just doesn't. And like I get it, I get that there's like summer in Chicago and whatever, wherever else is White Castle, but it's not the same. I can only imagine like if you waited that long, you got to be like, all right, I'd like 3000 sliders, please.

Speaker: Well, that's, you know, you know what that, you know, how that is because it's the, honestly, my biggest pet peeve of people in fast food situations are people who order like for 10 people and they, you know, are like complex orders or something. So you mean postmates? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, some restaurants do a good job of managing that. Like, you know, they, they take orders in the back and then they can do that. But when it's just,

Speaker: Like, okay, I'm just, I'm just, let's just keep doing this, this whatever we're doing. Um, another one is Starbucks. When ever I go to Starbucks in my hometown in central Wisconsin and I go and I'm trying to get like a coffee, just like a black coffee. And then the van in front of me, it's always a van and there it's always like,

Speaker: I swear to God, it's always like somebody ordering like 10 frappuccinos for all of their nurse friends. And they're always the like Trenty or the Trenta. And it's like full of, you know, whipped cream and shit. It's basically like ice cream. Yeah, it's a fucking blended sheet cake. But the thing is like. It's your fault.

Speaker: for going to Starbucks when there's a fuckin' perfectly serviceable George Webbs in town? Ew. Uh... I would disagree with that. Is George Webbs good? It's not about good, but they have fine coffee. It's like folders. What are you looking for? A cup of coffee or a fuckin' frappuccino?

Speaker: I want a venti cold brew black. And you're going to bitch about other people wanting specific shit. I'm just saying the Frappuccino takes like three minutes to make each dude. I was a barista. I know a cold brew takes 10 seconds. Your issue is with the Starbucks, the way Starbucks runs things in my hometown. Yes.

Speaker: Well, no, it's a factor of your hometown doesn't have any other options for coffee. Yeah, I know. I mean, but what do you expect? You've been like, you're like, they only got a Starbucks in 2013. Uh, 2011. Oh shit. I wasn't even that far off.

Speaker: Yeah, but anyway, yeah, I don't know. I'm just saying like every time I've, I've here's, you know, like the whole cliche of like, Oh, I was late because I had to get Starbucks type of thing. But like every time I've actually have been late to something and it was because of Starbucks and the wait was 15 minutes is because I was watching like 40 Frappuccinos getting prepped.

Speaker: before my cold brew, which takes like five seconds. It's just one of those things. All right. Well, pro tip. If you want your drink done faster, order from the hot beverage station. Like the, like the self serve or.

Speaker: No, no, like there's cold bev and hot bev. It would be, you know, frappuccinos and iced coffee and cold brew. Hot bev would be like lattes and cappuccinos and shit. OK. Because if you order hot bev, then what what happens is like as soon as your drink gets printed up. Somebody will come make your drink.

Speaker: Even if there's like 30 frappuccinos. Right. OK, they'll be like, oh, there's one hot drink. Let's get the one hot drink done. You know what I mean? Yeah. Pro tip for all the listeners out there. I do. I do feel bad for baristas who have to make frappuccinos. Is that every time I see the process, it's like, oh, my God, I feel so bad for you. The worst is when they do frappuccino happy hour.

Speaker: Oh, yeah. And everybody and their fucking uncle comes out to get one. Mm hmm. Because it's buy one, get one. And now it looks like they have a strawberry funnel cake frappuccino. That's right, coaster enthusiasts.

Speaker: You can drink your funnel caco now. No need for that pesky chewing. So do you see a difference in patron between people who ordered the black coffee drinks or teas versus the ice cream dessert drinks? Yeah, it's like weirdos and basic people.

Speaker: Yeah. People get like black coffee and shit. They're like weirdos. People get frappuccinos. They're basic. Sounds about right. And there's really no in between because you're at fucking Starbucks paying six bucks for a cup of fucking coffee or a sheet cake, whatever your preference is. Right. So you're either a weirdo or basic. Sorry, Ben, you're a weirdo.

Speaker: That's fine. Um, do, is it true that the stereotype is that gay men will order cold brew all year round? I've never heard that. Oh. And I, I, you know where I live, the store I worked at definitely in a neighborhood and we didn't like serve a whole ton of cold brew.

Speaker: And it was never like it was never like huh that guy's getting cold brew in the winter, huh? Well so as far as I know myth busted Okay

Speaker: I always hear that, but I don't know if I don't have the practical hands on experience to confirm other than the fact that that's my primary drink. That might be maybe it's a Denver thing. Maybe Denver gays like cold brew. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. I'll have to do some research. Here's something I can tell you. Yeah. People who get a pumpkin spice latte in August.

Speaker: are fucking monsters. They're monsters. What kind of monster? Holy shit, we're getting under attacked. Well, that's what happens if you start talking about the pumpkin spice lattes like that. The kind of monsters that like, OK. What what is so fucking great about a pumpkin spice latte? It smells like fall.

Speaker: or it tastes like fall. Yeah, there's nothing good about it. Yeah, I think it's fine. It's fine. It's fine. But the entire idea of like, oh, well, on August 23rd, it's fucking pumpkin time is like, fuck yourself. That's some bullshit. Right.

Speaker: Well, I think of that like the, the pumpkin spice latte is in the same caliber as the, um, as the McRib where if it was offered year round, it would pretty much be non -existent, but they make it exclusive just to get the FOMO, you know, orders out of people. Well, it's true. Both will kill you.

Speaker: Can you imagine like your stereotypical pumpkin spice latte person wearing Ugg boots and like a North Face jacket and leggings and they're killing you? So here's this thing that happened when I was working at Starbucks once.

Speaker: Um, a lady ordered lemon loaf. So I was going to bagger the lemon loaf from the pastry case. Cause you know, rotate stock and all that. And she's like, I need the one from right out of the package. Cause I'm definitely allergic. To what? Exactly. So I just got to pop open the package. Huh.

Speaker: Well, first though, I thought you were going to see you put the lemon loaf into the frappuccino. Oh man. No. That like, if I asked them, like, will they blend that up? That might be pretty good. No. Well, maybe if you go to like the one in your hometown or where like some stoners are working, then they might. Yeah. Yeah. If you buy everything and ask for it. Yeah.

Speaker: Just be like, I want, I want to say you'd want to get like a frappuccino that complimented the low fright and then just be like, and blend the loaf into there. Yeah, that sounds good. That's a nice texture too. Yeah, man. One nice thing at Starbucks is the smoothies. Cause you can make those pretty goddamn good. If you, you know how to do it. Mm -hmm.

Speaker: Their whey protein is terrible. Don't ever get that. But have them add some blueberries and some agave. Oh boy. Then you're in for some fun. So I've done, I've done like a whey protein cold brew drink with peanut butter something that was pretty good. Interesting. Sounds kind of gross. I mean, it's, it's like a whey protein drink. So there's definitely a very low bar for flavor enjoyment, but it's like,

Speaker: This is making me want to go get a fucking frappuccino. I wanted one the other day. I gotta see what time the Starbucks near me is open. Well, before we go into full, uh, Karen Starbucks modes, um, does, is there a Starbucks near holiday world?

Speaker: I know someone who will be very upset if there's not. Yeah. What do you think the closest one, the holiday world is? Um, that's a good question. We can Google that. That's what I'm sure they close in an hour. So I'm going to have to Uber eats it. What do you, I'm so,

Speaker: Holy shit. The closest Starbucks is 33 miles away. I can't be right. What from holiday world? Yeah, that's probably right. Um, I guess it is. Yeah. No way. Damn. That is a Starbucks desert.

Speaker: want to open up a franchise in, uh, in Buffalo franchise. What was that? Starbucks don't franchise or whatever, whatever you call it. No, they don't. You can't even license them. You'd have to get a, you'd have to like open a jewel to license it or like an Albertsons or whatever. So how do you open a Starbucks?

Speaker: Corporate decides we're putting a store here. Okay. Or more likely you open a competitor and then they open three shops strategically around you. Okay. Well, let's, let's, let's start an initiative to bring Starbucks to holiday world. Bring it on.

Speaker: Well, that's fun. Um, yeah, Starbucks, what's up? We're, we're not getting any payment from them. So no, um, I do have like a share or two of their stock though. Full disclosure.

Speaker: Promo code Rob Alvey. Promo code hurricane. Yeah, so. Fucking holiday world, though. Shit on a shingle. I'm excited as fuck for that shit.

Speaker: For sure. I'm excited to just ride, um, consistently ride rides. Cause I'm doing, uh, Kentucky kingdom and hot and, uh, Kings Island before. So, and then hopefully I took them that Monday off. If you want to try to hit great America. Okay. Cause I need, I need two credits. I need, um, Joker and max force. Yeah.

Speaker: Max force. I'm pretty, I keep forgetting about max force. Like I'm, oh dude. Yeah. If we go, it'll be easy. Cause I got my diamond elite VIP membership. And so you get four, skip the line passes every time you go. Oh shit. Okay. Yeah. So I could just do two for max force and two for joker. Nice. Yeah. No, it sounds fun. All right.

Speaker: Uh, I think the lines have been kind of shit though. The operations aren't terrible, but just like all things considered, everything moves pretty slowly. Yeah. Yeah. That's, that's kind of expected, I guess. But we could always, uh, you know, bail early and go get sloshed or whatever. That's always an option. I'm I'm I'm all for it. Um,

Speaker: So I'm, I was curious about this. I remember last week we were talking about, um, the velocity coaster test seat. Um, how many videos do you think there are about this right now? Oh, at least five, I bet.

Speaker: Okay. So theme park express has uploaded four. Well, okay. Technically one's just test seats. One is called even some skinny people struggle with these test seats or with these seats. Interesting.

Speaker: Yeah, that's the thing. I kind of fell into that rabbit hole a little bit of watching people test the test seat. What to expect? I'm I'm sure that came from a place of genuine interest and not of judgment or. Well, OK, so if you were looking up

Speaker: Like there's definitely some untouched areas of Orlando theme park vlogging content. I'm wondering like what areas have not been touched yet. So if you're like a YouTuber and you're trying to do something really unique and creative, I wonder like what you could do. So like, do you think universal best trash cans is a thing?

Speaker: I feel like best bathrooms in Orlando. It's not. No, no, no. Not universal. Just the, the, the vlog concept. Okay. So there is cans. There is some, there is a channel called Diz Unplugged. Yeah, I know them. Okay. There's, there is worst restrooms at Disneyland.

Speaker: So there's an untapped market there for best restrooms in Orlando. Drew, the intern. I'm calling on you, buddy. You got a YouTube channel right there waiting to go. Mm hmm. I think that would be a very successful YouTube channel, like best bathrooms in Orlando. It wouldn't have to just be theme parks, you know.

Speaker: Right. It could be, and you could break it down to the one here at Chi -Chi's on iDrive is fantastic. Yeah. Well, I was going to say like you'd, you could have it where, you know, you're sitting down at the restaurant and you finish your meal. Everyone else orders drinks and then you like take some Imodium like, all right, we're going to test this bathroom.

Speaker: And then you can have like a GoPro set up, like one on your forehead, a little chest, not that six hour, it points at your face and like one on your shoe. And then you can have like some really nice binaural audio recording equipment. It can be like bathroom ASMR. It's just like,

Speaker: Oh, you know what else? Did you ever get into like vaporwave? Yeah. Okay. So like, it's like vaporwave and it's, but it's like, you're, it's 1993. You're in a mall. You're in an empty mall taking a shit.

Speaker: So you have that like nice like echo, that like bathroom echo with like the elevator music coming from the speakers and the ceiling. Yeah. That'd be pretty funny. It'd be like vapor shit. Shit wave. Did you ever see a sine wave? No, what's that?

Speaker: It's just vaporwave Seinfeld. It's pretty good. I have to look that up now. Sign way. It's pretty great.

Speaker: Oh, dude, that's hilarious. Yeah, I was I was I was in the vapor of like. When I'm working, not surprising.

Speaker: I have it playing now in the background. Nice. It's good background music. Yeah, it's like, it's like vaporwave and MF Doom instrumentals are my like default background sounds. Oh, you don't do like chill instrumental beats to study slash relax to or anything. No, but I know that playlist.

Speaker: That's my jam, dude. I love the chill instrumental beats to study slash relax too. That's like one of my favorite music artists. Did you ever get into binaural beats with like the different frequencies of different like left, right channels? No. So there's this whole thing where

Speaker: I guess it's, it activates like different parts of the brain. So like one ear is one frequency and the other ear is another frequency. Um, and it's just like, it sounds like buzzing. It's kind of like, sounds like a buzzing or people do it to music or whatever. Um, and they do different things. So like one frequency is good for concentration. One frequency is like good for sex. One's good for anxiety type of thing. Um, that sounds like bullshit.

Speaker: I mean, it's, it's one of those things where like, it's definitely kind of placebo, but, um, the problem though, is that I've tried these just to like meditate or whatever. Like I just like lay on the bed and listen to this stuff. The problem though is like, when, you know, 20 minutes into it, there's this like abrupt shock when an ad starts playing and you know, it's for something stupid. It's like, um,

Speaker: It's like the one about the COVID -19, like the COVID -19 ad where it's like, it's real. And you can do blah, blah, blah. And it's, you know, have you ever seen that one? No. I guess I just don't watch as much, um, my neural frequencies. I am enjoying the shit out of this Seinfeld vapor wave though.

Speaker: Yeah, it's pretty good. It's pretty great. Serenity now. Although generally vaporwave is not my jam. For no, no reason in particular, I'm just not.

Speaker: Not a big fan. Yeah, I mean, it's not something you're just going to blast like in your car. Yeah, well, that's true, too. It's a very specific thing. Although this is making me rethink what I should play at the silent disco.

Speaker: That could be, we were talking about having like, you know, we're going to have separate transmitters and what we could put on the other ones. We could definitely put a vaporwave playlist. Cause you, is it possible to vaporwave millennium force music? I mean, a qualified yes, but I got to learn how to make vaporwave first.

Speaker: Let's see. How to make Vaporwave. Oh, it does exist. Does it? On YouTube? Yeah. Okay, I see.

Speaker: It's just like drowning in reverb though. I'm gonna leave it common. This is just like slowed down and drowned in reverb. OK, that can't be right. Oh, what is this now?

Speaker: What? I found the like full length version of the song on YouTube. Yeah. Like it's called techno knot. Yeah. Remember, I thought we talked about this before. Uh, did we?

Speaker: I've never heard of a two and a half minute mix of this song, though. Yeah, it's got like a whole other section it goes into. Oh, yeah.

Speaker: Oh, dude, that's dope. I never heard that one before. Interesting, this Coaster Dave channel.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, that's that other one. That's all crappy. Now there's no vapor wave. Maybe I'm ready to go. At this point, there should just be like a vaporwave plug in. You can just make vaporwave off of anything.

Speaker: Well, that's like now I'm going to put on dubstep because he made me want to. I don't really want to hear vaporwave. I'm like, all right, let's put on excision. Do you like dubstep, Ben? Uh, not really. It's one turn this shit on. It'll fuck your mind up.

Speaker: Yeah, I guess like for me dubstep was a genre that I never entered because of the like subculture around it. And it's kind of like associated it with some of the most annoying people I knew at the time. And I just never got into it. Like me at the time? No, not like you or Aaron or anyone like that. It was more just like, like people I went to school with.

Speaker: like college, like basic college bros. And some of my old coworkers were just like super basic, like suburbanite types, you know? Hey man, you like Skrillex? Oh man, it's so great.

Speaker: like blasting in the car. And it's like, we're driving three minutes to go to Culver's. This is a little unnecessary. No, it's, it's very important to get the base drop when you're going to get cheeseburgers. Right.

Speaker: Um, but there are, there are some good dubstep, like, um, I don't know. Overall, though, I do, I do enjoy some dubstep. Like I enjoy select songs. But you wouldn't go to like a festival if it was all dubstep. Probably not. No. Like a bunch of people that are just fucking rolling. Yeah, that's the other thing. Like, um,

Speaker: I remember I saw how was that? I saw like knife party. Oh, dope. Back in like. This is probably like 2012, 2011, and I felt like it was all like middle high schoolers at their show. And it just was like the vibe was just a little, you know, just a little weird. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah, I think the dub and rhythm stuff is definitely attracting like a younger crowd. That would be weird to go to now. Mm hmm. Well, this is weird, they're doing like a festival, but it's like. Not like it's like there's a stage and everything, but it's not real.

Speaker: It's hard to describe. It's a Zoom concert kind of. Yeah, it's like they have him like DJing on this like insanely huge green screen. So it's like. And it's hard to describe, it looks like a video game or something, but then you can clearly see him in the middle like DJing. Huh?

Speaker: And I guess that's what a Zoom concert is. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know who's like, uh, kind of, I kind of liked you with, um, I was going to say, uh, zoom, no coaster con. Yeah. That was the worst sounding thing ever.

Speaker: I tried to watch, they like had it available for replay. I like tried to watch a little bit of it. And then I realized like it's fucking five or six hours long. No. Yeah. Right. Like I'm, there's a good chance I'm going to die if I watch this whole thing. I think someone brought up, someone brought up this thing where

Speaker: Remember, I think it might've been Gabe in discord of like the fart jar. Yeah. What was that? I think, I think we're, I don't, so it's like, I remember, I remember the joke, but I remember it being funny. Like, um,

Speaker: Like you get with the Zoom with Zoom, no COSR con, you could like send people a fart jar. So that way you could like pretend you were at the experience, like with the smell, just smell the jar. I mean, that'd be accurate. I think you also mentioned stretch marks from a rollercoaster. Oh boy.

Speaker: So I'm going to get a credit soon. And I switch one. I am going to finally get the New Mexico rattler. Rattler rat rat. I don't know how to pronounce that God damn word. Yeah, nice. But I'm excited as shit because that red looks dope. It was it was good nine years ago. I hope it's hopefully it's so good.

Speaker: I'm like looking forward to, uh, finally getting to ride it. Cause I've seen it for a long time in videos and been like, it's like classic, you know, CC eyes, man. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. It's a, it's a good back row ride. Yeah. I'm hoping I can get a couple of rides front back, you know,

Speaker: Yeah, I'm looking, I'm going to look at a POV of it. Same. I just pulled one up. I'm watching now. Yeah. I think one thing I do remember about this ride is that there's, so the first ride, the first time I wrote it, I wrote in the front and I was like, what the fuck? There's no airtime. And then I wrote it in the back and then pretty much every Hill at airtime. Interesting.

Speaker: because it's a, it's kind of short, but it has the good like yank, back row, yank, whatever you call it. Pull over. Yeah. The first job looks interesting. I'm curious to know if they did any work on this.

Speaker: Oh, that's right. Shit, I forgot about the tunnel. Oh, wow. Yeah, this ride looks awesome.

Speaker: Oh, man. Yeah, tunnels and some tunnels. Yeah, it looks great. So the unfortunate day at Six Flags Over Georgia video popped up as a next playlist. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm stoked to ride that shit, though. Yeah, that's it. That's a good ride. Plus, it's it's in kind of a.

Speaker: Hard to get to a region. Yeah. That's what I was thinking is like, it's kind of a rare, not exactly rare, but it's kind of a rare credit. Just because it's so in the middle of nowhere, you have to like specifically be going there. We're also going to go to Meow Wolf, which I'm super stoked for. Yeah, that'll be cool. I, uh,

Speaker: I mean, I don't know what it's like sober, but I'm sure it's pretty cool still either way. I mean, I had a great time at the one in Vegas is fucking great. I'm also going to wear my hat from the one in Vegas and see if any of the employees say anything.

Speaker: It was probably like Meow Wolf Roadies now. Yeah, right. But like that actually seems like the type of place where that would be cool since there's like kind of a story and stuff, you know. Right. Yeah. So I don't know, I'm really looking forward to it. I don't know a whole lot about the original the house thing out in Santa Fe, but I'm fucking looking forward to it.

Speaker: I really want to see the one in Denver when that opens, too. Yeah, I'm curious to see what that one is. I have been hearing a lot from people, though, that from what I've heard, though, is that the Meow Wolf kind of, I guess, franchise company, wherever you want to call it. I guess they've been fucking over like the artists. That's not surprising.

Speaker: Yeah. Like they'll have them work for them for a while and then they'll get rid of the artists and then they'll just like continue using their work with no credit. So that sucks. Yeah. But also not surprising. But

Speaker: Damn, that sucks. But shit, the fucking actual experience is fun though. I mean, I definitely am not on board with stealing art, but the fucking actual experience of going to Meow Wolf is cool. So I'm looking forward to that.

Speaker: Yeah, I'm curious to see what the Denver one's like. Um, hopefully I can go to that one soon. I'm sure it's going to be slammed, but I also just, uh, stumbled upon an El Toro POV. Nice. Nice.

Speaker: with the brand new using this brand new ad blocker. It's pretty nice. I haven't seen an ad yet. So I'm trying to think about anything else that's been going on in the roller coaster world. This is where a roller coaster podcast. I went to great America a couple of times. Oh yeah. What's, what's all that like?

Speaker: Things are a little strange, you know, obviously they're still getting the hang of operations given The state of things, you know, but They're doing pretty well, you know, it's not Everything is the operations are doing pretty good. I

Speaker: the ride wise, um, food operations suck, but they're mainly, I think it's a lot of staffing issues. It seems to be the main problem. Yeah. Food, food is the worst in every park. Like it's just,

Speaker: Why? I feel like it's the easiest way. They're just taking something from a frozen, you know, like a frozen bag and reheating it in the microwave. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Like how is, how is it that food gets shorted so bad? Like you could have anybody work it, you know, like whoever's legal to work at the park is eligible to work the food, you know,

Speaker: And it makes money. The markup's insane. I wonder if it's a, I wonder if it's like a food pass issue. Well, cause parks still do that, right? Like you can get a, Oh yeah. I think that's definitely part of it at Six Flags cause they sell the dining. Like if you get a membership, you can get the dining plan for your membership for like $5 a month more. Oh, okay. So of course we both do.

Speaker: But then it's like a challenge. Every time we go to a six flags parks, we gotta, we gotta make sure we eat, you know. Yeah. I think that'd be the worst part is if you pay for that dining plan and then, um, you go to the park and the lines are super long and it's like, shit, we gotta go, you know, and you don't have time to get your food. Yeah. You just gotta like plan for it, you know,

Speaker: My Starbucks is here. I'll be right back. Okay, so I have to make an admission to you. Yeah, I got the strawberry funnel cake Frappuccino. Oh shit. And I haven't tried it yet, but it looks amazing. So hold on straws going in.

Speaker: OK, what's all right, let's let's review these nutrition facts slightly altered because it's a vegan version. OK. Oh, my God. Wow. Wow. Whoo. Yep, that's a strawberry funnel cake, that's for sure. What what size did you get? Fat ass.

Speaker: So the trendy trend to the venti. Okay. So we're looking at, um, 500 calories. All right. Half a gram of trans fat, 300 milligrams of sodium. So about 13 % of your daily

Speaker: limits. Um, and we're looking at 68 to grams of sugar. How many carbohydrates are in here? Uh, 70 grams. Oh boy. So that's a meal. That's a fucking meal. Yeah. That's a, it's a lot.

Speaker: I mean, I, I haven't ordered a frappuccino and since probably high school, um, I've never, I've never said something like, I don't, I don't like drinking calories or, uh, consuming lots of sugar. Pussy. I know.

Speaker: At a moment though, I mean, there was a point in high school where I would smash like, uh, remember, remember the monster BFC? Yeah. I'd get, I'd get one of those before school all the time. So this is making me think about the story about the one time when we were coming off the wizard and that girl was like, you almost got run over by a truck.

Speaker: Oh, that's right. Yeah. And then I thought of that the other day because

Speaker: My wife has started watching. So I have occasionally begun watching because it's too fascinating not to a show on TLC. And I'll stop right there and say, Jesus Christ, that's the learning channel. But we can back off of that for a second to go ahead and explain. One thousand pound sisters. Oh, God. See, there's Amy.

Speaker: She's younger and she's also not as big. She's, um, in the 200 to 300 range because she has spoiler alert, had surgery, but her sister Tammy is in the 600 to 700 pound range. Mm -hmm.

Speaker: And they were talking on the show about how they get, you know, hate mail occasionally. And she was saying that one time somebody called her a mattress. Damn. Yeah. A fucking mattress.

Speaker: What kind of mattress? Yeah, are we talking to Celie or is this like a Tempur -Pedic? Air mattress. Purple, Lisa. Which, by the way, if anybody, any of those mattress companies wants to sponsor a fledgling roller coaster podcast,

Speaker: Yeah. The purple, the purple mattress is pretty good. Um, I had one for a bit. See that we could do ad copy purple. I mean, they got Tim and Eric doing ads for them. So ours won't be that good, but they'll be good. I mean, they'll be podcast ads, but you know,

Speaker: There was a Djibouti Dubs video where the video is about a woman who couldn't stop eating like foam mattresses.

Speaker: Um, it was a, my, my strange addiction, but in the Djibouti dubs, they, they changed the context of it. So it was like, she wants to become a mattress. So she keeps eating the mattress, like the mattress phone. It's pretty funny. I recommend it. Remember that YouTube poop of the Geauga Lake commercial? Oh my God. That's right.

Speaker: I don't like that. YouTube poop. God damn, we're old. Oh man, I don't know if it's going to be.

Speaker: Yeah, I don't know if I can find this anymore. Is it like gone? Oh yeah. Twisted. Here we go. Twisted commercials. Wow.

Speaker: There's not a lot of strawberry happening in this strawberry funnel cake frappuccino. Like it's more on the, it's more on the sugar side. Yeah. It's like coffee funnel cake and there's like some strawberry stuff on the top, but there's really not a lot of strawberry flavor throughout. Hmm. That's too bad.

Speaker: I got to figure if they go more heavy on the sugar part and not the fruit part. It just needs a little bit more, you know? Yeah. But it's not bad. If you're looking for a blended up funnel cake, look no further. It's like look, it's like blending a slim fast.

Speaker: It's like ice cherry or ice strawberry slim fast in a funnel cake. No, there's nothing slim fast about this. This is like they took a funnel cake Sunday and threw it in a blender. With a little bit of coffee. To make to make you like, you know, digest it. Yeah.

Speaker: I get it like coaster enthusiasts. They got rides to ride. Who wants to sit there eating a funnel cake when you could drink it? Can I get the extra wide straw? Like one of the funnel cake frappuccino. Do you want that in the 44 ounce or the large? Give me a bubble tea straw.

Speaker: It's just like a McDonald's straw would probably work fine. Oh, yeah. The triple thick milkshake. Triple thick ass. You know, it's definitely true. You know what's so crazy? I think back on this. And when I was a kid, my grandparents would take us to McDonald's and they would let us get supersized.

Speaker: You know, as kids as kids. Yeah. God damn. With the triple thick. Triple thick milkshake. Well, your grandparents like China. It's like a Hansel and Gretel situation. I don't know. I definitely think it triggered. I think I think it triggered an eating addiction early on.

Speaker: But that's so crazy, though, because like, you know, I'm not in a position to have my own kids, but like if I did have kids, like I'm not taking them to McDonald's. You know what I'm saying? Like, you just got to cut that out completely. Yeah, you have like a thousand milligrams of sodium in one sitting. Right. If I'm going to raise kids, I'm going to raise like some granola kids.

Speaker: you know, Fenn Winslow, Harper, Cheyenne. Oh, you're going to be fucking boring. What? You're going to be a fucking boring parent. No, I'll take my kid, but I will push my kids to go mountain biking at age two. That'll, that's going to happen.

Speaker: I'm gonna be like a hippie parent. I'd be like, you gotta learn by doing man. That's why your name is tree. Went with the earth man.

Speaker: Yeah, whenever, um, so last Friday I was, uh, mountain biking in golden and there's a, there's a little bike park. So it's just, um, you know, it's like dirt jumps and stuff like that pump track. And there was like two dads there and they were there with both had, they both had a newborn. And then they also had like one had a two year old girl and one had like a three year old boy.

Speaker: And they were all like riding their little, they're like little dirt jumper bikes while crushing beers, holding their newborns. Oh boy. It was like, that's, that's the life. Uh -huh. There's like too much red neckery there too. Uh, I wouldn't say redneck. It's more like,

Speaker: It's its own thing. Because they probably have like tech jobs and some or some shit. OK, well, what is it then? It's I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, I'm here for it. I guess it depends on what kind of beer it was. Is this like a craft beer or like?

Speaker: Swill. Yeah. So this bike park is behind a brewery. OK, so it's millennial. You're just describing millennial parents. Yeah, or yeah, early Gen Xers. I don't know. I can't have kids anyway, so unless I like shoot in a turkey baster and you know what I'm saying? Like, it's not not happening.

Speaker: You're not going to try to adopt. I could. I could adopt. I'm still drinking this fucking frappuccino. Yeah, that doesn't I feel like it's good. Is it is it just as enjoyable as the first sip? It was never as good as I had hoped it was. But with that in mind, yes.

Speaker: Dude, all of this, all of that shit is designed to make you to want to order it, and then you regret it. It's not like, it's like, I don't know, fucking trip quadruple cheese, chili, Frito pizza at Papa John's with stuffed crust. You know, like, remember that shit? Oh God, ugh.

Speaker: or like waffle Sunday pancakes at IHOP. This is like an Instagram drink. Right, yeah. But like, you know, pancakes should not be 2 ,000 calories. Yeah, except we're in the United States of America,

Speaker: And we have the fucking freedom to add cheese to a frappuccino. So fuck off. Can you do that? Not yet. Give it a year. It's going to be like a artisan grilled cheese frappuccino or something.

Speaker: caramel pancakes grilled cheese and tomato bisque frappuccino. Oh, that's right. Salted caramel and banana cream pancakes. Do you remember the maple bacon sundae at Denny's? Oh, yeah. I remember I tried one of those ones. And.

Speaker: You know how sometimes you have a life experience that makes you question your self worth? Yeah. Yeah. It's just something about seeing a fucking dish of ice cream topped with bacon and maple syrup.

Speaker: being served to you? Right. You're like, is this what rock bottom feels like? Like, I know I'm at a Denny's, but I didn't think it'd be like this. Yeah, I get that feeling of epiphase too sometimes when you're on the fourth plate.

Speaker: And it's like, okay. Yeah. By, by plate three and a half, there's usually a come to Jesus moment. It's like, Oh God. Like I remember a few times when we were younger, we'd go to buffets and I'd make it like three and a half plates in. And then I'd be like.

Speaker: I might like go blind tonight or something. I don't know. Well, right. And it's kind of, it's kind of like you, you think about it and you're so full and you realize that you're in for more agony than you got putting into it. Like, like you're getting more disadvantage herb. What am I trying to say? You're going through more, you're going to have a way more pain than

Speaker: eating it, or then, then joy, I guess. No, cause it's always shit food. Like, it's like, God, I had so much soft serve that the machine had to reset.

Speaker: He did that once. I'm sorry, I'm dying.

Speaker: Yeah, like old country buffet. I'm getting my second bowl of soft serve. And then it turns to completely liquid. And the little light starts flashing.

Speaker: And that's the old country buffet soft serve was never really that good. It was always it was always like crystal. I remember it always being like. It had the consistency of like. Like novelty shaped butter that had been left out all day.

Speaker: Yeah. Okay. But you know what, though? My grandma did teach me this one food trick. Well, it wasn't really a trick, but we used to go to this Chinese buffet and she'd always like tell us to like, Oh, our buddy Eric taught me this one. No, I'm just kidding. You take, you just take, uh, you take root beer. So she was teaching us. We're kids and she's like, yeah, like go get some root beer.

Speaker: and then put some ice cream in it and make it rip your float and then stick one of those Chinese buffet donuts into it. Damn, that's like a coaster enthusiast hack. Yeah. That's a, that's a good one. My grandpa was also a pretty

Speaker: I heard stories from relatives of Vegas buffet strategies. And I guess like he would go to get crab legs and he would have like four dishes of butter on the table. So he'd like peel a bunch of crab and then put them in each of the dishes. And then it would be like a

Speaker: Oh, what do you call it? Like a relay. You know what I'm saying? So like he'd be eating one thing of crab as the other ones were soaking and then he would like peel some, put some more in a dish and then keep going dish to dish. So like you didn't have to stop. So it was like a crab like butter soaking stations. Oh my God. Yeah.

Speaker: How much cream cheese? Like on a knife. Yeah. I've only done that once. No, at a Vegas buffet. I mean, it's just like a, was this a family thing? Like is it running?

Speaker: I'm sure it's in the blood. Gluttony's in the blood, yeah. I mean, yeah, I guess you guys are from Wisconsin, so it makes sense. Plus, my grandpa's like 6 '5". He's a big appetite. Really? With four dishes of butter for crab blanks? Wouldn't have seen that coming.

Speaker: I'm trying to think of like the most trashy buffet thing I've ever done. Um, the cream cheese on a knife is up there, but I don't, that's not really that bad. Like that's not that weird. It was a small thing of cream cheese. Yeah, but you ate it right off a knife. So what's the difference if you like eat it on a bagel or if you eat it on a knife?

Speaker: A, battle. B. That was the same thing you said at the time. Well, true. And I think the difference is exactly that. It's the conduit for which you're delivering the cream cheese to yourself. I mean, sure. I think a bagel is societally acceptable.

Speaker: as a cream cheese conduit, but we're not quite it. Well, you know what? We've gone through quarantine now. So maybe we're at cream cheese on a knife point. Yeah. You know what? I think now in 2021, it's fine. Yeah. I mean, I do, I do hummus on a knife all the time. You know, yeah, it's 2021 times are different. Oh God. Oh God. I actually liked,

Speaker: Okay. There's this really funny post. I just have to share it. So I'm going to list it. I accidentally liked it. So people are going to think I'm fucking crazy. That's okay. Um, so it says how convenient for the gas shortage. I'm going to read it. I'm a, we read it, uh, word for word. So how convenient for the gas shortage as schools are letting out and going to States that are affected if

Speaker: or sorry, states that are affected, because they are vacation states might I add that said states are also lowering COVID restrictions. Hmm, something to think about. River. I don't what? Oh, rivers trying to get in on the show.

Speaker: Here, River, come on, go outside. Anyway. I don't understand. I think he thinks that somehow the gas shortage is intentional to prevent people from vacationing in those states or something. Because, you know, COVID.

Speaker: I mean, I know. No, it's just oil companies wanting to make money. I mean, it's it's a lack of investment on our infrastructure and a big whips and a big whips happened. That's. Oh, was that the boat that was stuck? I think it had to do with the

Speaker: The pipe or I don't know some, yeah, I don't know. I don't know too much about it. Some were the pipeline. I think I hacked. So they had to shut it down. Oh, okay. Cause I'm taking a road trip. Yep. I mean, most of our infrastructure is supported by like

Speaker: Microsoft DOS or earlier, so. I don't see the any key. Exactly. Oh, man, well, shit, do we got anything else?

Speaker: Um, I don't know, this might be the least coastered episode in a while, but that's OK. Right. Well, Hollywood Nights is coming up. We're stoked for that. It's that weird time of year, like parks are opening, but. And I mean, I don't have anything on the schedule and, you know, doing a quick trip to cliffs. Until Hollywood Nights, you know, it's that time of year. Yeah.

Speaker: The news has been slow. I mean, Velocicoaster, but other than that, not much going on. I want to see a video where they discuss every single support column. How about a vlog that's just about seat belts? Yeah. Or a

Speaker: Or a guy who's in his second semester in his engineering program tried to explain something about roller coasters. I don't know. How many channels where you 3D print the exact bolts that go on the coasters?

Speaker: I don't know. Anyway. Yeah. Fuck it. Let's uh, let's diggity wrap it up. Yeah, I gotta eat some cashew chicken. Yeah, I gotta eat some food too.

Speaker: Cosifer. Yeah. Um, Gabe, Gabriel, Lou Whiskey, uh, Gabe Missouri. Um, Keith, Iorio, um, Danin Rafferty, Brian Lewis, Joshua Knight, Luann Lewis, Sean Brookheiser, Hemi, Sean, uh, B, um,

Speaker: Ryan Shoemaker. Oh, there's got to be one more Dominic. That's right. Dominic B. And Slater, right? Oh, air time drew. Yeah, Nathan Slater. And

Speaker: Well, of course, our executive producer and homie and motherfucking all around great dude, Prairie Coasting. Hmm, I can't. I wonder if that's it. Oh, Mikey Mayo. That's right. I can. Shockwave Dan, Daniel Puckett.

Speaker: I think that's it. Of course, watch, we leave somebody out there going to be pissed. I'll double check later on. Um, but thanks to all those fine folks. You got anything else Ben? Um, no, I don't just, uh, you know,

Speaker: Just living, living life, losing home offers, being homeless. Still no headway, huh? No, I think I should just give up. So you're gonna get to farm in Wisconsin, huh? Maybe, maybe. I guess like, so the thing about, I mean, cause like the economy is so fucked up right now.

Speaker: inflation is fucked up, stock market is fucked up. Like it just seems like everything's gonna fucking crash and it just seems like a really dumb time to buy a house. I'm getting those vibes. So I might wait and see what happens in the next few months. That's a fair assessment.

Speaker: I mean, the Dow took a nosedive yesterday. Um, lots of inflation fears, big investor sell -offs, you know what I mean? So it's just like, I dunno, people, there's so many people who think that the housing market cannot crash and history says that that is incorrect. So,

Speaker: Yeah, there's barely any more oversight now than there was 13, 14 years ago. Right. Well, yeah. So the big argument is like, oh, well, there's no more subprime lending. It's like, and it's like, oh, one in the specific portion. Yeah. Well, that's the thing. The other thing too is like, it really doesn't matter. Like, so they're going like, oh, everyone who per the average credit score, people who bought a house is over 700 or whatever.

Speaker: And it's like, okay, your credit score is meaningless when you lose your job. Like when you lose your job with millions of other Americans, you can't pay your mortgage. And when you have to sell your house with millions of other Americans, the market's going to tank. And so like, I don't know. I'm not a, I'm not, I'm not a doomer with the markets. I'm just saying like, you know, shit's fucked right now. Not a good time to invest money anywhere.

Speaker: Except for Dogecoin. Put it in Doge, I was just about to say. It's so crazy. So I bought 50 ,000 Doge like back in January when it was like less than half a penny. So I'm kind of curious to see like how far this can go. Interesting. Well, we'll have to let it play out.

Speaker: Fucking A. Well, I'm going to go get some dinner. Yeah, I'm going to eat some cashew chicken. All right. Well, that's what's up, man. Fucking A. Thanks a bunch for listening. And until next time, your favorite coaster sucks.
