00:01:27

My name is Mark and I am playing the human blade singer Seth Faroreva and by last, but by no means least and with no more gilding the lily and with no more ado, i give to you the seeker of serenity, the protector of Italian virginity, the enforcer of our lord god, the one, the only, Danny the Dungeon Master
00:01:53
Speaker
Good reference. Yeah, I'm glad. Yeah, that was good. And speaking of youve got nude medieval characters, we see old Gale fully dressed um in a park in a nice part of Sleetgard as it

Encounter with Ghostwing

rains.
00:02:11
Speaker
And Sitting down, reading a book, closes it, pulls out the orb from his pocket and begins. "'Who doesn't like a good read?' Ooh, uncomfortable truths. The group ask about help from the other ten living chronomancers, and not all of them are living, and none will help, because, bitch, I got shit to do. Is Lucian someone we can use? Well, he's linked to the Time Whale somehow, and he's probably not to give me too much help. Alpha suggests that he could give up the memory rune to Delmon Trace. Oh, dear. Delmon wishes to do as he says. He says he's being truthful, but he does have plans for after... We win. Can Alpha build the plans for the pocket thingy? Yes, he can. It's three days and two thousand gold pieces to do it. Do you intend to rule Aerith? They ask Delmon Trace. And he says, well, I intend to hold power and maybe influence here or there. And then we also says, once we see your ship leaving for Eurion, that's when the war will recommence. Alpha lets Trace know that only Sparrowhawk knows where the memory rune is, and he gets pretty fucking pissed, but agrees to release him. Nyx, turns out, has always fallen in love, each and every cycle, with the Valkyrie, without fail by this time. Hmm.
00:03:32
Speaker
Alpha gets back to his artificial roots and recreates Ranger's old parrot as his own. Therok starts to forage for dinner and mull over his thoughts too. And Nyx tries to find communion with me, boy, to talk about his past timeline selfie self. And around midnight, there is a guttural dragon's roar, some sort of scream. And ah there is a full-size dragon and circling overhead.
00:04:01
Speaker
The evening moon hangs fractured behind a curtain of sleet and hail. its silver light scattered across the battered stones of Goldport Keep.
00:04:12
Speaker
The storm beats down relentlessly in rhythm, each gust carrying shards of ice that rattle across its ramparts. Then as this vast shadow passes between you and the moons, wings outstretched, scales glistening, this black dragon descends from the clouds not in fury, but in exhaustion.
00:04:37
Speaker
Its landing shakes the sodden ground south of the keep between that ruined pond and ah the lifeless stretch where crops were once attempted to grow. Steam rises where its body meets the rain hissing softly into the night.
00:04:55
Speaker
Now at this point, who was outside? I think Emron definitely came to look at the forge at one point, but I can't recall who else said they were outside. I can't remember. Nyx was outside. He was looking at the orb by the lake. Okay. The vomit lake thing. this This dragon collapses meters from you.
00:05:15
Speaker
What the fuck? ah
00:05:22
Speaker
As you're looking around in

Strategic Discussion on Dangers Above

00:05:23
Speaker
panic, you hear this low growl escaping more in pain than in menace. Okay. ah Ball.
00:05:32
Speaker
Ball. In this storm, everyone is 70, 80 feet away from you and it's windy. But the thud of this impact is enough to summon you all from inside.
00:05:45
Speaker
And as ah guess, Nix, you're looking rather panicked. And on the other side, across across the keep, you all kind of emerge from your various chambers.
00:05:57
Speaker
This big form begins to vanish in a wisp of shadow. And forms more into a humanoid shape. Into a figure you know quite well, Nyx.
00:06:13
Speaker
Ghostwing. His body is battered. He is bruised. His armour cracked. One horn looks like it's almost been ripped off. He stumbles forward, hands and knees, pounding the mud, gasping for air like he is winded.
00:06:31
Speaker
As he sits there, well, kneels there, trying to regain his breath. Nix will run over to him. Is there anything you'd do? Uh, uh, uh, I've got a, I've got a potion! I've got a potion! Drink this, drink this! hu Water!
00:06:48
Speaker
ah don um You don't want the water out there! I've got some water in my skin. Hang on. And then Nix will excuse quickly, furiously pull out his so the stuff from his bag and hand over the water skin.
00:07:03
Speaker
And this is the stuff from the Oasis, I think. Yeah. Or have you got i mean just got some regular water rations? Then i he's kind of scrambling at you quite heavily handed and can't quite catch it in the first time because he's so sort of disorientated.
00:07:19
Speaker
Rips it with his jaw and just drinks it into almost like a bit of a stupor, like he's like he's on mild painkillers afterwards. You kind of get this hazy fogginess about him for a few moments.
00:07:33
Speaker
He's still there panting. And you're seeing more of his features. Before, like, he's been quite shrouded just because his attire of the winged watch. But here you're seeing this this sort of black, green, um scaled lizard kin.
00:07:48
Speaker
ah Right. ah The potion as well will help. Like, drink this. Drink this. Yes. Yes. Yes. Wow.
00:07:58
Speaker
Wow. Where am I? i I mean, I'm in Goldport. Keep it. I feel good. Yes. feel really good. Okay. ah you i mean, that's part of the water that I gave you, but I'm glad you feel good. You are safe.
00:08:13
Speaker
ah You fell from a great height. You were a dragon. That was little bit strange. Didn't expect that, but it seems like you've managed to um get out and escape wherever you came from, but you are now here in the Goblin Kingdom.
00:08:26
Speaker
Goblin Kingdom. And by this point, if you're all responding to this massive quake almost that's kind of ah been felt around you, you'll you'll now be within this this this scene.
00:08:41
Speaker
um Goblin Kingdom. I'm sorry. but I mean, it's Alpha's place. Alpha, where are we? As he sees he hears you probably more than sees you because his attention is fully focused on... Goldport Keep. We're at Goldport Keep. We're at Goldport Keep.
00:08:55
Speaker
I made it. you You made it. Yes, you're here. Please, let me let me help you. and i'm not go to Allow me, Alpha. I've got this. valve I'm not going to go put some South. Barth going to bar. It's not like I was helping in the first place. Don't worry. Barth has exploded his wildfire spirit up in the air, probably at the the tremors and stuff like that, and come running over. And he is going to do his normal kind of licky of cure wounds, but he's going to do it at third level.
00:09:22
Speaker
um We're slightly jealous when you do that. I'm not going to lie. I'm okay with it, but I've just, you know, it would I wouldn't be me if I didn't talk about it. Yeah, he's going to replenish 38 points of healing.
00:09:34
Speaker
Great. Did he drink that potion? and I suppose that is a bit more effective. This returns his breath to him near instantly. that That heavy, heavy healing.
00:09:46
Speaker
He sort of regains after a few moments the stature he has carried thus far in your meetings and looks far more composed now as a result of that.
00:09:58
Speaker
Thank you.
00:10:01
Speaker
well What's in that water? ah It's hallucinogenic, just to make you feel like you're having the best day your life, as some people would say.
00:10:14
Speaker
We found it in an oasis in the desert. Not quite sure it's true origins. It is a bit weird. As long as it's not poison. No, no, no, no. I wouldn't do that. Unless you gave me reason to.
00:10:28
Speaker
Where is Sparrowhawk? Is he safe? He's on his way. a question, I guess. What? Should we go inside? feel like, you know. It's complicated. He is safe and he's now coming here.
00:10:41
Speaker
At this point, now that sort of the the dragon form has stopped the shroud, that the the hailstorm is kind of re-emerging and the wind's kind of picking up. Yeah, should probably go inside. Alpha, can you do anything about this or not anymore?
00:10:54
Speaker
I'm afraid not at the moment, no. Oh. lead Just before people start to move, Farrakh will go, it's important that you know that Delmontrace is here and that you take threat with a measured mind.
00:11:08
Speaker
yeah But he's cool. He's cool. Tracy in there. You

Potential Allies and Challenges

00:11:11
Speaker
just need to a little bit of respect. Respect goes both ways. we've We've done our thing. We were successful in our mission. We've got so much to tell you. Just don't stab a bitch when you get in there and things will be okay and everything will be revealed to you. Got nothing to hide and you're in good hands.
00:11:27
Speaker
I'm not violent. Lead on. I wish to know more. Okay.
00:11:34
Speaker
and Let's go.
00:11:37
Speaker
Seriously, though, best your life? What did you what did you think? What did you see? He's kind of slowly strolling. And, Bal, you notice after you've healed him, he's made a habit of trying to gesture to walk with you, almost.
00:11:53
Speaker
Feigning, feigning like a like a limp, like fe feigning a a need for support. Your insight is probably... tactile enough, your passive perception to know that he is not injured, that he's trying to steal a moment with you.
00:12:10
Speaker
Yeah. I'll just pipe up. ah Maybe go make sure the fires are ah fully there. Tharok, if you can maybe get a bowl of that stew, that might help. I'm just going to help him in. Take it easy. Go swing. Pot's on in the main hall, he'll say, and head off back towards there.
00:12:27
Speaker
they don't go in He'll say to most of the party. okay Yeah, i'll kind of prop him up. Okay, then.
00:12:38
Speaker
Barl, I'll see you inside. It's just moving a pace slower. So it does look like they're following you, Nix. Whether you want to walk with them, it's entirely up to you.
00:12:49
Speaker
ah Well, Nix was ah walking with him anyway and was going to just nonsensically go, oh, so tell me your best day your life and all of that. So if he's picking up a vibe of like, fuck off, Nix, from Baal.
00:13:06
Speaker
It doesn't really note you too much. He's kind of focusing on Baal that just takes it for more hubbub, but but sees that you spoke, but doesn't really register.
00:13:18
Speaker
Yeah. And when there's just a decent distance, a couple of paces, and in this storm it kind of masks a bit of the the sound, it just leans into you, Baal, and Draconic
00:13:32
Speaker
says, they're coming, but not not in a fearful way.
00:13:41
Speaker
Which ones? Yours.
00:13:48
Speaker
Your kin.
00:13:51
Speaker
From the desert. I saw... two Three dozen. From Shantralakar's brood, or from Gaelphars?
00:14:04
Speaker
Gaelphars. Like yours.
00:14:08
Speaker
She released them, then.
00:14:13
Speaker
Good. They're coming home. Okay, uh...
00:14:22
Speaker
to I might need to send word. They're coming here.
00:14:27
Speaker
Even better.
00:14:31
Speaker
Okay.
00:14:33
Speaker
Okay. Probably at the keep by the time you've had that exchange, but he just looks to see if you want to head in first. And Nyx, I imagine you're also there still. Yeah, so, because Nyx can understand Draconic now. He's just going to, like...
00:14:50
Speaker
I'll be inside. And then just walk in with a little bit of a backwards look. that's the Okay. And where Sebastian? Leave the door open just for a second. Too long.
00:15:04
Speaker
You'll hear this in common. You'll hear as you're walking in common, him say quietly, where is Sebastian? Yeah, going to close this door. Best you come in. Okay.
00:15:18
Speaker
Meet the guest, and we'll get you up to speed.
00:15:24
Speaker
And as he steps in, he sees Delmontre sat warming himself by the fire.
00:15:34
Speaker
I see.
00:15:37
Speaker
You were successful then.
00:15:40
Speaker
He now shouts to the room. you You could say that. We um successfully extracted Del Montreus. We also killed um Leopold of Sleetgaard.
00:15:53
Speaker
What? o Just straight in there, Emron, with the big big headlines. I mean, there is a way to do it. I admire the way that you've done it. There could have been a different way of doing it, like a shit sandwich, you know what mean? But still, you know, um i guess we're here now. don't know. What does this mean?
00:16:12
Speaker
we we Well, we we we we rescued Delmon Trace from being imprisoned by King Leopold. King Leopold was being rather gutsy. He demanded alpha. It got very complicated, and in the end, we killed him.
00:16:27
Speaker
Was this your plan, Trace? Yeah, Trace. Was this your plan?
00:16:35
Speaker
Trace just smiles. Oh, that fucking smile. I swear down. oh From the cooking pot, Farrakh is just going to shout out, I think it's really important before someone here kills someone else that it's pointed out that when Leopold Sleetgaard died, all of those metal things went fucking crazy.
00:16:53
Speaker
Whatever Leopold was doing, it was connected to that. He was stopping him from not slaughtering Goldview and Sleetgaard and then we stopped that. So, yeah.
00:17:06
Speaker
Tell me everything. Leave nothing out.
00:17:13
Speaker
Okay. And if you say you will, we'll say happen repeat. Alpha, can with your perfect memory, just regale? can do voices as well. Alpha will tell him everything.
00:17:26
Speaker
played.
00:17:30
Speaker
too ah maybe an hour of condensed conversation then well condensed monologue from alpha ensues and to save our listeners that ah experience listen to last few episodes but listeners at the end of this episode if you fancy staying on at the end you will hear what alpha would say in a liver puddley an accent With the tap dancers interpretation. He manages to do all of our voices in it as well. It's great. It's so talented.
00:18:04
Speaker
But maybe an an hour passes. And in that time that we're just kind of hearing Alpha sort of playback, Ghostwing is unwavering in his focus.
00:18:16
Speaker
Occasionally just taking his eyes off Alpha and looking to the group when there's the more moral dilemma. ah moments kind of appear and the more personal things were revealed.
00:18:31
Speaker
And when there's questions around, well, there's information around the motivations of the Chris Gray, he naturally turns his attention to German Trace. Trace just looks into the fire this whole time. on An occasional beat just looks for the person of Alpha's focus in that monologue.
00:18:47
Speaker
But is there anything you would do during that time where you're you're hearing all of this again? Yeah, Farrakh, while this is happening, will have finished cooking. it Farrakh would have...
00:18:58
Speaker
specifically have looked for produce and food that was not fish and would be type of different types of vegetables that you would find in rationed barrels on ships. He would just look for all intensive purposes to to to cook something different.
00:19:14
Speaker
And as that's happened, he would just quietly, without interrupting Alpha, would just go around just handing out bowls of this still stew, but different stew to what they've been eating whilst they were abroad at sea. Mm-hmm.
00:19:31
Speaker
um While the retelling of the story is going on as well, Bile's going to go beside Nix and just kind of do the subtle handhold thing where the hands are down by each other's sides for a bit. And then kind of, if he can, he'll just take Nix's hand and just hold it through the retelling.
00:19:48
Speaker
But... on the kind of the section where alpha's talking about if i'm assuming he's telling everything isn't he uh on the section where he's talking about nix in every single cycle there with valkyrie as well it will kind of he'll stiffen somewhat and maybe just kind of not necessarily release the hand but there's definitely a change there oh can hear about that later
00:20:22
Speaker
that you' this
00:20:25
Speaker
so During the retelling, because obviously we, we um Seth was very quiet towards the end of of of last effort episode. um And Ron's sort of going to go over to him and sort of say, i know you wanted to talk to Tiloire at some point.
00:20:42
Speaker
If we want to do it, doing it before we all go to bed is a good time to do it, just so you know, because it'll At least I'll be able to do it again tomorrow.
00:20:54
Speaker
Just thought you should know. I know you asked about it earlier. And Seth would have looked up from um over overlooking his scimitar of wounding and looking at the um serrated edges of it from a kind of a crouch position and look up to you, Emron, and furrow his brow.
00:21:12
Speaker
Yeah, but there seems to be like a lot of people in here now. Like with oh Ghost Boy and... the other one. So do we want them to see him?
00:21:25
Speaker
ah No, I mean, we can do it somewhere else without, I mean, maybe with just our lot and everyone sort of gestures towards the undying champions. And, you know, that way we can get any answers we want and it doesn't get complicated. But I just thought I'd mention it before, you know, things go on.
00:21:45
Speaker
Yeah, I know that that sounds like a ah good idea. I think necessary. If Gilwell has been through all these cycles and might remember something, it makes sense to ask him.
00:21:56
Speaker
You know, I totally agree. And hopefully I can let him take a bit more control this time so we can actually

Emron's Transformation and Past Insights

00:22:02
Speaker
answer your questions. so And we'll get Elfa to remember everything so we'll be able to tell because you can you Can you hear what he says? or will Yeah, I think I think i can. Oh, okay. yeah It used to be a bit difficult, but it's gotten easier. But I don't know. because i've not Recently, I've not let him take over as much before. used to take over completely. and Then it became a bit of a teamwork thing. so you know It's like being on the beach.
00:22:30
Speaker
I don't know what that... I don't understand that. When you're on the beach and you're in the sand, you're dry. But when you're in the water, you're wet. Two different parts. But if you're on the beach in the middle, you're both. Tilwa is the beach, you are the the wet.
00:22:44
Speaker
i've I've never had experiences of spending so much time on beaches. So yeah, I'll take your word for it. Okay. But you get the idea. Like it's two different things. We're mixing together. i'll get the idea Yeah. I'll ask Tharok. You've come up with a good stew metaphor, I think. There's something about mixing things. Oil and water mixing kind of thing. I don't know. if They don't mix, do they? No. Hmm.
00:23:03
Speaker
Okay. We'll have think. Yeah. Anyway, when these two cunts leave, then we'll speak with your with your flappy one and you know we'll figure out what we're going to do. Are we still going to destroy hell? Yeah. Is that still our plan? I think that's me yeah me and you and anyone else. We go down hell and twat it one.
00:23:19
Speaker
Fuck yeah. Okay. Sorry. No, go on. sorry good no gold I was you do see a little bit like a glint of fear in his eye for like half a second, which is then masqueraded in manliness and toxic masculinity. And yeah, yeah, cool.
00:23:34
Speaker
Yeah, we can do this. Absolutely. Well, Alpha's getting to a good bit again and turns back to Alpha. Oh, this where he does my voice. And then set off Seth turns to him. Yeah, this is the bit where do that big speech, you know, the really good one where everyone got tingles. Well, I spoke to the above and I told him, let's listen in and see what see what i say.
00:23:56
Speaker
And how far he cancelling as well. I'm going to but prepare a script. Can you give negative inspiration? Is that a thing? You give negative inspiration any time he wants. Outspiration. Outspiration.
00:24:14
Speaker
As the the retelling kind of gets to those concluding moments around the counter-alignment
00:24:26
Speaker
the the
00:24:30
Speaker
the strategy that you all created in a previous turn that reigns devised in a previous cycle.
00:24:41
Speaker
And then it ends on some of your last decisive
00:24:49
Speaker
ellipses that you have yet to kind of declare your position on.
00:24:58
Speaker
One being the request from Del Montrace to take one of the stones, the princess stone,
00:25:08
Speaker
to clear out hell and bring whatever's there to Eryth, to empty the steel nightmare and bring whatever's ever there to Eryth.
00:25:23
Speaker
And Alpha stops speaking and there is a palpable silence for a few minutes.
00:25:33
Speaker
Ghostwing turns to all of you after a few attempts to ask a question, but then thinks twice.
00:25:47
Speaker
Do you believe it? Any of it?
00:25:53
Speaker
He was under his own truth, so I knew if he was lying, and he couldn't, for lot of it.
00:26:03
Speaker
Time.
00:26:07
Speaker
Oh, it's complicated as fuck.
00:26:10
Speaker
This is all far greater
00:26:20
Speaker
Yeah, we haven't really come to terms with it yet, speaking on behalf of the group, but a lot of the stuff makes sense. And some things have felt like at times we were being pulled along certain paths as opposed to getting the choice.
00:26:38
Speaker
It does feel as real as anything we've heard but regarding everything that's going on.
00:26:49
Speaker
How many days left? Alpha?
00:26:58
Speaker
to think. putting it to 44. not too sure. I'm putting to 44. I think we're about 47 days, but want finish it before that. Yes. of You need to defrag again, I think.
00:27:13
Speaker
On one thing, we are agreed. We cannot wait for that day to come. Oh no, if we get to that day, it's all fucked.
00:27:23
Speaker
On this question of allowing a dragon to ascend,
00:27:45
Speaker
why not
00:27:49
Speaker
You've all seen it now.
00:27:53
Speaker
Let it be me.
00:27:56
Speaker
I mean, we we didn't know you were on the table because we didn't know you were a dragon. to Sorry if you feel insulted, we didn't consider you. both I did consider him. He was the other, the one that Darmon Trace didn't know about until obviously this evening.
00:28:12
Speaker
But the trouble is, now that I've thought about it And he looks over at Trace. You don't have the power to return that monarch, do you?
00:28:29
Speaker
He was taken
00:28:33
Speaker
to the steel nightmare. And he turns back to Ghostwing. You said it yourself.
00:28:39
Speaker
Hang on, which monarch are you tied to?
00:28:45
Speaker
The Kingdom of Shadowment.
00:28:48
Speaker
Oh. Hmm.
00:28:52
Speaker
It had slipped mind in all this. Trace finally speaks.
00:29:03
Speaker
If...
00:29:06
Speaker
Rain's shadow is no more. If you kill... Ruriont.
00:29:18
Speaker
Rain's father... will have that throne undisputed.
00:29:29
Speaker
He might not be on Aerith, but he'd have the only claim.
00:29:40
Speaker
And that's not as preferable as Urien.
00:29:45
Speaker
You could, if you want to, give the
00:29:54
Speaker
I'm not sure that's the wisest course of action. Well, okay, that's cool. I enjoy riddles as much as the next tiefling. But what is the best course of action?
00:30:09
Speaker
I still believe it's Valkyraeth.
00:30:17
Speaker
I do too. But...
00:30:23
Speaker
It's a gamble.
00:30:27
Speaker
Tell us, Ghostwing, what did you see up there? And Ghostwing unclips his cloak, rests it on the back of a chair.
00:30:46
Speaker
You see this
00:30:50
Speaker
scratched leather armour all around his core.
00:31:00
Speaker
The curse that you just spoke of, Alpha. This magical prison that's surrounding the steel nightmare.
00:31:15
Speaker
I couldn't get near it.
00:31:19
Speaker
You see, this something changed in the skies. Almost as if the whole world turned upside down. I was no longer falling to Aerith, but away from it.
00:31:33
Speaker
The nightmare. And... The anchors.
00:31:43
Speaker
I didn't understand how it worked, but...
00:31:47
Speaker
The anchors are keeping the nightmare in the sky.
00:31:56
Speaker
It's almost as if our understanding of forces in nature is reversed when you go up there.
00:32:12
Speaker
I felt almost pulled in by it.
00:32:20
Speaker
It's dangerous,
00:32:25
Speaker
but I think I could be fast enough. If someone could disable that magical barrier,
00:32:33
Speaker
I could do it.
00:32:42
Speaker
Farrakh will turn to Delmontreis and we'll go, in any other iterations of the past?
00:32:50
Speaker
Has it been Ghostwing? Has it been the dragon?
00:32:59
Speaker
I'm not sure.
00:33:02
Speaker
It's been other dragons, yes, but I'm not sure which one caught us there last time. It's been, yeah.
00:33:14
Speaker
Before ah certain events of the blight happened, it's been your mother, Baal.
00:33:28
Speaker
Tilwar might know more if his memory is unchanged from the last cycle.
00:33:39
Speaker
I couldn't tell you for certain, Tharok.
00:33:44
Speaker
He will turn back to Ghostwing and go, if Range is dead, which, well, of course he is, i know enough of this Shadow Menian history, and he'll turn to Emron and Alpha and go, Euron Cardinal is a bastard and a sick man and a horrible, horrible person.
00:34:00
Speaker
But let's not pretend that Hadar the Ninth is a kitten. He was doing some pretty fucking awful things. That's what you left from Shadow Men for, right? All the cardinals, in all all honesty...
00:34:12
Speaker
They're not exactly a great family. um Aside from Reims, the history of the Haddows is well rather abysmal. Yeah. um Yeah.
00:34:23
Speaker
I mean... Slave trading? And I mean this with no disrespect, Ghostwing, but if Leopold Sleetgaard was not a good monarch for this to work with Sleetgaard, how could you possibly be right if we have to rely on one of those terrible fuckers being on the throne for you to go up?
00:34:42
Speaker
Yes. A difficult decision. I know what I'm doing, but it involves giving power to someone awful.
00:34:56
Speaker
Valkyarath does not, but now you appoint someone you trust
00:35:05
Speaker
and someone controls Sleetgaard who is right of heart. Oh yeah, I would rather that. Your chance in the skies is riskier. Well, that's the thing, isn't it? Like we can fix everything down below after the fact.
00:35:21
Speaker
We need to take the best chance. Surely we need to roll the dice and take the best chance in order to defeat the steel nightmare in the sky. And then afterwards, we've got a place to fix. But if we don't take the right chance there and we fuck that up, well, guess what?
00:35:35
Speaker
There's nothing to fix down here. You ask for my vote. I totally agree with Alpha. My vote goes for the one that's never been there before that we can guarantee. You said the ball has never won those games before. Yes. Which means that egg has never been claimed as a prize, which means that dragon has never been.
00:35:52
Speaker
That is our best bet. If you were to ask me, is that the best bet? Because I agree, but I want to make absolutely sure we have one shot, one shot at this.
00:36:03
Speaker
And it needs to be the best bet. And as long as it is, as long as collectively we agree this is our best bet, you get my votes all the time. But I don't give a fuck what the aftermath is.
00:36:14
Speaker
We can fix that when we get there. Because it's a big if right now. if If I may, I know you probably think that I'm quite heavily biased towards Val Kareth. I would think the same in your shoes.
00:36:31
Speaker
It's more than that.
00:36:34
Speaker
To put someone back on the throne of Sleetgard, the rightful heir, and to give that power over to Valkareth is going to be ten times easier than finding and returning King Haddow.
00:36:52
Speaker
Last you said your yourself, Ghostwing, that he had been taken to the Steel Nightmare. That means that we need to somehow already get in there before you can retake the throne. It it doesn't yeah wait Look, please, I don't mean to cause offence.
00:37:11
Speaker
You are already incredibly powerful. You are already an incredible ally to this cause. If we can boost another to at least your levels, if not further, surely we'd double our powers in the skies rather than consolidate into one.
00:37:31
Speaker
Very well.
00:37:35
Speaker
There'll be plenty of fights down here as well, where a dragon would be most useful. I cannot move against the family directly. As much joy as it would give me to help you kill Uriand. So you can't fight Uriand. That makes sense.
00:37:49
Speaker
But I can elsewhere.
00:37:53
Speaker
I will join you on the front lines, Trace. If that is where I am best deployed. but It sounds as though I will be the only willing dragon...
00:38:05
Speaker
Who will be there. you to You don't have to bow down Atrecy. It's okay. he's he's He's the same with us. He's just a cog in the machine. Are there any other dragons that could help us, Gorswing? Gorswing, you said you held favor with Chandra LaCarre?
00:38:23
Speaker
Enough to get her off my back? and I believe I have. For Do you think... You could use that favor instead of me.
00:38:34
Speaker
don't Don't obviously use it for me. Fuck that. In fact, use me as a prize if you want. That if she was to help you, you'd deliver me to her. So be it. But no, no, no, Nix.
00:38:46
Speaker
If you can convince Chandra LaCarre to fight

Strategic Alliances and Roles

00:38:50
Speaker
with you, alongside you, against the Steel Nightmare, against the forces of the Hells, whatever it be, then...
00:39:01
Speaker
then we'll have three on our side. Yeah, but don't make that deal about giving up Baal. There's better deals to be made. I feel I may have already played my ace, and I apologize.
00:39:15
Speaker
But your life has already been promised, Baal. Okay, that's just a future decision that we'll have to get to when we get to. That's fine. Just as long as we get through stage one. As I've been saying.
00:39:28
Speaker
Aren't there others for us? I mean, we've got to wait for... For others to get here before we can really make a decision. If you want control of the dragons, if you want their help, then the architect of that plan is stood right there.
00:39:44
Speaker
I may hate it, but what Tracer's done ensures cooperation. Through, you know, hostages, basically.
00:39:58
Speaker
We do not agree.
00:40:02
Speaker
the Dragon Lords of Aerith, on many things. Trace removed the need for such agreement to ever happen.
00:40:13
Speaker
And he is seething. but We can all sense your anger, that that and that's understandable. But it's also worth noting that you appear to be applying a pragmatic touch here, where you're saying that we have to follow the what what this guy is doing.
00:40:31
Speaker
And I agree with what Nick says. We have to go for the path that's most likely to work, but we have to be sure what that is. And a part of safeguarding that plan is making sure that Sebastian Sleetgaard does not turn up here tomorrow and try and murder this man.
00:40:45
Speaker
because he's corrected his father is dead. So someone in this room has to break the news to Sebastian about his father's death if he doesn't know already. And we have to do it, and I mean this with all respect, Emron, I really like you, we have to do it in a way that was better than we broke it to this guy.
00:41:02
Speaker
And I think it has to be Seth. I think Seth killed him. Sebastian spoke a lot to Seth. I think it has to be Seth who tells him. You killed him, Seth. yeah but You know, it's more of a team effort, really, but, you know, yeah.
00:41:17
Speaker
ah You know, everyone did a bit. I might have done a bit more. I don't think I laid a hand on him. All right, Nix. I've just been thrown out the window. I agree. Oh, yeah.
00:41:28
Speaker
Can I just... ah And he's going to stab the scimitar into the ground and stand up at this as it's wobbling as he stands up. I'm a bit confused. I know I'm not the... ah greatest of minds and I've gone through a bit at the moment but can I just check something?
00:41:46
Speaker
Who is the fucking bad guy here? Like who do we have to kill to make this good? And in what order? Because I feel like there's a lot of moving parts here. And sometimes, sometimes this guy, and he points towards Delmon Trace, is a baddie and we want to fuck him up. And now he's Tracy. And and this guy is a dragon. And that's okay. We're a cool with that. And the bad dragon that almost ate me and Emron is now could be a good dragon.
00:42:17
Speaker
I want to make sure that if any fucker show up and I'm on a battlefield, I'm not going to kill a bitch if I'm supposed to be friends with him. And I'm not going to befriend a bitch if I'm supposed to kill him, you know? Well, I can help you with that. too soon to decide on that yet? my my my other turn up and You are not moving too soon, Seth.
00:42:36
Speaker
Who's going to kill Tolkien? to talklka There are some bad guys. there are some bad guys Okay, let's kill them then. and the orders Start with them. The order you wish starts with Oriond.
00:42:50
Speaker
Okay. Oriond. Where is he? He's at sea. Oh, that's pretty fucking big. Shit. I know where all in time Oriond must die.
00:43:08
Speaker
The curse cast on the steel nightmare has to end.
00:43:15
Speaker
And that is in hell? Correct. Okay. And then...
00:43:21
Speaker
Grand Chronomancer Veritas has to die. The guy who can see the future. But can't this time. Wow, that's gonna be a tough one. And then there's Tokalon.
00:43:34
Speaker
Yeah, who runs hell. And we have to empty hell to do the steel nightmare. We may be able to avoid encountering him altogether. If we get Prego, yes? If we get him back, that may avoid the encounter.
00:43:48
Speaker
Yeah, we we need to get Prego back because he might be to help as well. Those are your bad guys, Seth. Okay, thank you. I appreciate that. Sorry, it's very simplistic. I know lots of good, smart things in my time, but sometimes I just need big to be told like a child.
00:44:04
Speaker
Point there. Step that one. ah That's savvy. appreciate that. I feel like what you've done there, Seth, is distill all the information down into sizable chunks. Now, what I have a question on, these sizable chunks, are we taking as a party are we taking as ah group groups? yeah Yeah, that was one next question. We're on the same level, me and you.
00:44:27
Speaker
Weren't we told we have to do it in a certain amount of time? Like when we have to, there's a timing issue here that we have to be able to, we have to do the curse and Alpha would have written retold that entire proposal of the counter-alignment at the the last few moments of the retelling, where Trace revealed that...
00:44:47
Speaker
In order to access the steel nightmare safely, the curse that is controlled from Tol'Kalon's palace needs to be interrupted. In order to enter the chamber where that curse is being cast from, you need a key. The only key on Erith is on Uriand's pocket person.
00:45:06
Speaker
Working backwards from that, you were also warned you have a few moments to get to that key into hell.
00:45:17
Speaker
to disable the incantation. And then you have only a few moments before that incantation will be reactivated and Tolkilon's palace will be flooded.
00:45:30
Speaker
Everything needs to happen in a counter alignment within seconds of each other. Hence why Alpha will be working or wants to work or intends to work, sorry, on Reigns' device.
00:45:49
Speaker
Alpha can't go to hell. Because that puts him in the hands of Tolkilon. Nor the steel nightmare. And he wants to be able to twat Uri on. So that's fair enough. It all works out for me.
00:46:00
Speaker
So I believe the plan as we last discussed it. Now, there are others. I'm sure you will not be doing this alone. yeah I forbid it. The fate is too dear. That's why I was saying there will be others who are going to come here because we were told that Sebastian said others would come here. This is the rallying point.
00:46:16
Speaker
I assume others will all be able to weigh on this as well. Seth and I, we're going to go to hell. Whether Trace says Alito's there or not, fuck it. I'm going.
00:46:27
Speaker
The rest of the Winged Watch will be here in a couple of days. I expect those who travel to hell with the Red Rook will be a few days behind them.
00:46:40
Speaker
I have a guest joining us from the north of Sleetgaard. And I've scrambled for every other mercenary I can find loyal to the cause.
00:46:52
Speaker
Oh, good.
00:46:55
Speaker
We have a week, I'd say, till we're formed. Do we need to worry about demons coming here? Because obviously, Sebastian's got the the the stone, so... Where is Sebastian? Sebastian?
00:47:09
Speaker
Amron looks towards Trace. He'll be here at sunrise.
00:47:17
Speaker
And I'll be taking that stone. Did we agree on that? Did we agree on that? don't know if we agreed on that. Did we agree on that? I need the agreement. We did agree. Did we agree? I forget.
00:47:30
Speaker
Alpha. Sure stone. hu Like, are we doing that or not? I was happy to hand it over. okay. The guarantee that the hells would be emptied. Cool. Savvy.
00:47:41
Speaker
That makes sense. Sorry. But rest assured, Trace. C. E. E. Should be they not be, should you not live up to your end, you will be the one in my sights after Uriel.
00:47:59
Speaker
Oh, he can fuck you up, Tracy. You be careful. so Don't because I feel like me and Tracy were like a thing back then. Not a thing looking at Bile, but a ah more of a friendship like bromance thing going on.
00:48:12
Speaker
And I kind of want to unpack that. I want to unpack that with you, Tracy. You've been a bit shifty on us this whole time where I feel like me and you could have been a lot closer if you just opened that door. And I feel like past me, present me, other me had access to that door. So me, future me, now me wants access to that door. So give me time. I'll warm up to you.
00:48:31
Speaker
Everyone's going to lean towards Seth. Is Nick's wanting access to Trace's back door? I'm bit confused now. Yeah, think he's going to fuck him. Okay, so that's what I thought. okay And Seth's looking confused between him, Trace, and Bo.
00:48:49
Speaker
and Maybe they're all going to do it. Oh, God. Well, when in hell. yeah And we have this this awkward standoff for the rest of the evening.
00:49:03
Speaker
And before we think about retiring, is there anything else people would would like to do with their day? Everyone wants to get the undying champions out of the... away from Delmontre and Ghostwing. Everyone, I've got it. I've got to be really subtle.
00:49:20
Speaker
Okay. Hey, everyone, apart from Trace and Ghostwing... I've got something to show you in private. Please. Let's go to the bunk room. Oh, this is that thing. That thing. We got, oh yeah, yeah. Sorry, guys. This is very important. We got to see his thing.
00:49:35
Speaker
That thing. you do have a You two have a conversation in here about nothing important. Please don't miss anything out and don't kill each other. We'll be back in a jiffy or a bit longer than one jiffy, maybe three. And there are two individuals on either side of the room that haven't really spoken directly to each other much.
00:49:52
Speaker
just yeah Have a chat, be friends. Just kind of note that you're speaking, but don't attempt to follow you. Conversational pointers for you both. Talk about your favorite drink. Talk about your best ever time, you know, or mean by time. Or or what's the thing that you like most about to each other?
00:50:12
Speaker
Or dreams that you never fulfilled. Things that you can talk about. Everyone's sort of leading. Just leave them to it, Nick. Leave them to it. I'm just giving them some like icebreakers, you know what mean? the big figure i I don't think the fires of hell could break that ice.
00:50:26
Speaker
but That was beautiful. I liked that idea. Better than my mob my beach metaphor. Yeah, I still don't get that. to honest. I'll get Tilba, come on.
00:50:40
Speaker
So yeah, then Seth will make his way out towards the bunk room to open the door and kind like make a space in the middle, like a little stage. I'll get the cup.
00:50:50
Speaker
the drink the bottle not cup yeah i didn't mean to make it awkward i meant bowl the thing that we always do when we're having a conversation with each other i didn't mean like the bottle seven guys one cup like you know there's another happened one time nicks okay you gotta let that shit go okay i'm really stressed right now okay there's a lot going on and i'm just trying to maintain some decorum i don't think till i will hold the bottle though I'm just going to put the the Unlimitless clog Grog ah in front of everyone in the circle.
00:51:25
Speaker
Ultimately, I believe we need to ask you lot need to ask Tilwa what you can remember.
00:51:33
Speaker
Yep, I got it. It's worth you working out what you're going to say. and Remember, he only has a short amount of time here. How long do I have? ah I believe it's a minute, mate. All right.
00:51:43
Speaker
You double check, but I'll get a timer ready. Emron, question for you. Hello. If I peer into your mind now and get that link sorted out before you turn into Tilwa, then i theoretically will be able to see into Tilwa's mind if you're one and the same. And I i get there's ah probably a greater chance, hopefully, that you'll say yes ah rather than me have to ask Tilwa if I can peer into their mind.
00:52:15
Speaker
Yes, Nyx. Cool. ah Danny, it is it is a minute. Great. I have a stopwatch ready. Yeah, okay. So are we prepping these questions and saying speak quickly and also no offence Nick's but maybe let Seth talk.
00:52:32
Speaker
yeah we How about we just say tell us everything you know about the last time. And then hopefully Nick's able to see in his mind. That's, that's, yeah, I'm going to be. What about more specifically, how about we go with, why did we break the machine that repeats time?
00:52:49
Speaker
Would that be more useful? What do we want? Get him to talk quickly. Get him to say everything he can because Alpha will remember it, which will be really useful. So it doesn't matter how cored quickly he talks. Alpha will be able to remember it.
00:53:00
Speaker
Tharav, you're really quick. You're really quick. You're new to this party, but you've already learned that Alpha's eidetic memory is... ah I understand the general premise of this this party. It's mostly dick jokes and then eventually trying to figure things out. It's all good.
00:53:12
Speaker
but but look But if we let him just talk about like what the weather was all year, then that's not going to be very useful last time. But like what do we actually need to know? like Do we need to know about ah the ah Grand Kronemancer, why he's a cunt? Or do we need to know about what you know Who did Nick stick his dick in last time? You need to find out the things that you did last time, why you brought the clock, and what was the plan if there was one, and did it go wrong and why, maybe. I don't know. Or is it just asking about the last few moments from last time when you were stabbed up whatever it was and Prego did the thingy? Oh, yeah, then... And Prego went back in time. What went wrong? That one, that one, that one. What do we need to do different?
00:53:55
Speaker
If we know what went wrong last time, then we can make sure we do not make the same mistake. Side question, I wouldn't mind if you asked what I was like, but like that's if we had time right at the end. We can do it tomorrow. It's just I want to do it tonight so that we can do it again sooner rather than later if need be.
00:54:11
Speaker
Emron, I'm right in thinking as well. You've mostly, of these times, been up on the still the the still nightmare, yes? That's where you've been. That's the hot times that the dreams have shown me. so Well, it's probably highly unlikely that if you were up there in danger, that Tilwa wouldn't have made an appearance. So perhaps Tilwa could give us some insights into what it's like up there.
00:54:29
Speaker
Were you still Tilwa last time? Or was Tilwa a different person? and then No, no, i was still I was still, I believe, I believe the reason I can remember those things is because of Tilwa, is why I can remember them.
00:54:40
Speaker
So you and Tilwa have always been... Yeah. Ah, I didn't know if Tilwa had to come in to you um to, like, preserve itself. If you get time, you can always ask him, but I don't know. No, no, no. I like the alpha where he said, what went wrong?
00:54:56
Speaker
Because I feel like, you know, we don't want to repeat that. Okay, well, let me what you mean. Also, also, also, extra bonus, bonus question. Why can't we do this again? Why is this the last time?
00:55:09
Speaker
What did we break? It's not... What? but We've always been able to reset. We've always bought the loom or whatever it was. so Does it matter why it's broken? Does it matter why it's not there? We can't do it again. It's all very important, though. Because if you can ask him tomorrow.
00:55:25
Speaker
Okay, okay. have heard We start with what went wrong. Then we go to you why did we break the machine? And then any time left, we say what was Nick's like? Yes,
00:55:37
Speaker
Is that enough? Savvy. I feel like we're missing lots. I can't wait to see me through his eyes. We could always have time tomorrow if need be. i just Yeah, this is true. If we've got a week, you can ask him fucking seven times. Get your angel on, buddy. well what Let me in you.
00:55:53
Speaker
What? and Mentally. Mentally. Okay. Emron, he's doing you now as well? This is ah turning into a four-way. What is happening? ah ah He's going to go into my mind.
00:56:04
Speaker
All right. Just do what you need to do. Okay. And so you feel my mind connect with yours. as It's quite familiar now. You've felt this before. But it will push past that first kind of layer of your thoughts. Fun past. And then into...
00:56:20
Speaker
your actual mind as I cast Detect Thoughts. It's a wisdom 14, but I'm hoping that you choose I will choose to fail the wisdom saving throw. I have now got your mind linked for one whole minute, starting now. And for the benefit of me and the listeners, target one creature you can see within 30 feet. ah You learn what is most on the target's mind right now. If the target doesn't know any languages, typically web but ah I can probe deeper, which is what I'm doing.
00:56:53
Speaker
You discern the target's reasoning, emotions, and something that looms large in its mind, such as worry, love, or hate. There you go. Okay, go, Emron. Don't get too close, and Emron talk takes a few steps back, and he becomes... Tilwad, all of sudden, these golden wings come out from his back, and his lights are gone.
00:57:17
Speaker
No, keep going. I'm doing that for Mark. And lights begin to sort of, he starts to glow and his eyes all of become bright, searing light from his eyes and his mouth as Tilwa emerges.
00:57:33
Speaker
And the the chamber erupts in this blinding white light. And as you're all kind of temporarily shielding your eyes because it's you know approaching midnight at this point, Nix, you're immediately overwhelmed with a sense of uncomfortableness and ah you're feeling unnerved and you are beginning to sweat profusely. You're feeling feverish and all you can hear in your mind is ah the sound of a young child crying in fear over and over and over again throughout this entire exchange for the rest of you and you see this nick still but just in your mind everything you've just tried to do it's now like you've gone into the mind of a child that's that's fleeing for their life oh my god till uh halo and all
00:58:28
Speaker
takes Emron's form. And your minute begins. Greetings, friends. Hearttail, well nice to meet you. Last time in the cycle, what happened? What went wrong?
00:58:39
Speaker
The cycle?
00:58:43
Speaker
The last time before everyone died. Bunch of us broke the machine. What happened? What went wrong? Why didn't we win? Are you referring... Speak quickly. We have a little time. I understand. Are you referring to the previous time loop? Yes.
00:58:59
Speaker
ah And your question is What went wrong? Why didn't we win?
00:59:05
Speaker
You were defeated. We were defeated. Why? Why? Because you were not strong enough. But where did we fail? You were destroyed by Johan Veritas. The Grand Chronomancer of the Steel Nightmare.
00:59:20
Speaker
You were not there.
00:59:23
Speaker
Yeah, I get that. and What ah could we do to win, in your opinion? Now, that is a really interesting... And the minute is up. What was Nyx like? Oh, sorry, Nyx, he totally entirely missed it.
00:59:39
Speaker
Nyx, at the end of that minute, that kind of fizzles out for you and Emeron, you kind of return to form. And one sort of just goes down on one knee. Oh, I forget. It's quite exhausting when he takes over completely.
00:59:53
Speaker
Did you, so did did it work? I think we learned grand amounts of fuck all. I think we could all make our assumption that the big grand amounts of fucked us up.
01:00:06
Speaker
Did you find out? He speaks so slowly. You speak quickly. Why does he speak so slowly? ah Yeah, e e I believe does that. um Nix, what did you do get? Because you you were you were linked to it. what Yeah, so linked.
01:00:18
Speaker
Like, when you turned into Tewa and Nix is there just rubbing the temples of his head and he also dropped to a knee at the same time you dropped to a knee as if it took a lot from him. Yeah, yeah. ah So when you went all and angelic, all I got was this...
01:00:36
Speaker
vast deep uncomfortable feeling and then what sounded like a child screaming out in fear for an entire minute

Speaker
oh oh yeah that's not useful no there's no children here in the in the war i don't understand that this is like obviously i'm still fairly new to this whole thing but I've never experienced that before, and it was awful.

Debate on Best Strategy Forward

01:01:06
Speaker
Unless... unless I don't know. Unless the crime was Tilwa... I don't know. It gets... A child, Emron. There's a child screaming.
01:01:20
Speaker
Yeah, but I don't know how angels work. Maybe Tilwa is a child. child, maybe. Oh, you've got that inside of you, though, my friend. Ooh... i don't I don't understand.
01:01:32
Speaker
I thought you'd be able to help. Sorry. Oh, it's a good shout. It's a really good shout. He still may be able to help. We just need to be more concise and clear, perhaps. What? you said if we've If we've got a week, we've got another six scores if we want it, unless we have to use them in battle.
01:01:51
Speaker
He said we weren't strong enough.
01:01:55
Speaker
So we need a training montage. 47 days 47 days Right hang up the frozen cow Let's go the did it do Sorry I could not resist that What's next on the pre-sleep agenda Tharup, do you want this cloak of fire?
01:02:22
Speaker
i Well, if I'm going up there at some point, yes. I'll take now. Amazing. So before tonight ends, me and you, we need to be alone and I need to break a curse and you shall be gifted, my friend.
01:02:36
Speaker
Don't you also need to heat him up to make him the hottest thing? Yeah, I can set you on fire. Barney needs to darin make him burn because he's got to be the hottest thing.
01:02:48
Speaker
Well, but if it's just me and... I know, but my theory is if it's just me and Thauk in the room and I get rid of it, there's only one other person it can go to. but It'll go to the hottest thing, won't it?
01:03:01
Speaker
And if I'm around, we all know. Exactly. and and But you have, ah forgive me, Nick, for being so blunt, you have infernal blood. You will be hotter than him. That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me, Emron. Thank you.
01:03:16
Speaker
Oh, yeah, we'll burn him. You don't mind, do you, Tarek? I can't wait. be great. i like toasting. You might like it. Let me know if you do Hey, now.
01:03:30
Speaker
So, do the did the other three of you clear the chamber so this ritual can happen? I'm going to go and pray.
01:03:39
Speaker
I'm just going to go. Emron's going to go to the forge, too. Yeah, Alpha's going to go go there as well. Not following you, just coincidentally going to the same place.
01:03:50
Speaker
Seth? Seth what? Sorry. What do you think, Seth? I thought you just going to... Seth's going to... Fuck you, Callum.
01:04:03
Speaker
How dare you my own weapon against myself? I dare you own spell against me?
01:04:14
Speaker
Monster. Kind of smell. um Seth is going to kind of just stay in the room and look confused. um
01:04:28
Speaker
You can have it if you want, Seth. Nix points to his cloak.
01:04:35
Speaker
No. ah No. Okay. And he's going to walk out and just stand in the in the in the hail a little bit and just let the coolness of it hit his face as he tries to just make sense of everything, put everything back together and remember.
01:04:51
Speaker
Savvy.
01:04:54
Speaker
Right, so, Tharok, you need to ah be in a state of readiness to accept this thing. So if you wouldn't mind, ah get down to just your undergarments.
01:05:08
Speaker
It's very important. o Is it? that Can you remember this is how we did it? and then And then don't forget, you need to spin around three times, eyes closed. That's true. But he needs something. do you know what? No, no, I've got an idea. I've got an idea. This is what we did last time as well, Tharok. And Baal is going to take his handkerchief out from his pocket, tie it around Tharok's neck and say the command word. And it's going to turn to steel around his neck. What the fuck?
01:05:39
Speaker
but the What the fuck? Go with it. Go with it. Go with it. Yeah, yeah. yeah no did And then take you have take your clothes off. Undergarments. We don't need them to see everything. you know i mean? It's not that kind of party. We don't need to.
01:05:53
Speaker
Undergarments. Is there specific reason I need to take my clothes off? Or are you just taking the piss? Yes, it's part of the ritual. It's a ritual. is. We're not taking the piss. We're not doing you dirty. We can't do the spell. In order for me to remove this magical item, I need to use a spell that's remove magical item. Now, for me to use this spell, I need the situation to be right. So...
01:06:15
Speaker
Now that you've undressed, are you undressing? You're doing it really slowly. do you need a hand? hasn't got much to take off. So he literally just takes off his his his shirt. And then literally you realize he's not wearing underwear. if He just flicks the trousers off.
01:06:28
Speaker
Whoa, okay. Okay. Packing more than a sword. what you need to do now is turn around three times with your eyes closed. And then specifically after the third time, you need to open your right eye, close it, left eye open, close it, i right eye again, and then say the words, I love dragons.
01:06:51
Speaker
Farok is going to put his hand to his back and he's just going to ignite the sword over And then he's just going to go, if you could just hurry the fuck up, there's a flaming sword on my back. Okay. jack that it she didnt need to Do I heat the thing? Do i do undo it, do it. Fuck it. Okay, fuck it. Enjoy the pain. And he's going to cast heat metal on the now steel neckerchief around his neck and run out of the room. Okay. yeah Tharok, you are burning up. Your sword is on fire. Your back is beginning to burn. Nyx, the window is now. Okay. Okay.
01:07:30
Speaker
Okay, I'll do it now. And I will start to cast- How many points of damage is it per six seconds? 11 currently. Okay, 11 points damage, Tharap. Tharap will rage to just- That's not going to help because it's non-magic, because it's fire damage, but he's going to rage anyway because he's on fucking fire. Which just makes me pause for a moment. okay? You look angry. Fucking get on with it. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. course, I'd be angry too. Sometimes it gets a little bit hot, but he doesn't mean it. Barl, can you roll the game?
01:07:59
Speaker
oh shit uh yeah 14 points of damage stop looking at me i can't do it under pressure uh right nix closes his eyes and all of a sudden these symbols start to appear across him and its horns glow purple as the ah sparks start to fly from in and it attaches to the collar around his neck that holds the cape and one big spark of purple later it comes off as i cast remove curse And like ah
01:08:31
Speaker
a beat and the beaten nectar, it darts across the room, wraps around your neck quite violently for a second, Tharok, before it kind of like readjusted to your broad shoulders from this quite scrawny frame.
01:08:50
Speaker
You're still burning up, so we haven't quite figured out how Baal stops you from taking damage. so you are going to take twelve one more round of damage, but in that... You are no longer cursed, Nyx, with the Cloak of Exploding Flight.
01:09:08
Speaker
Tharok, you now have a permanently tune up a a at tuned item that you cannot willingly unattune. It needs to have the curse lifted. um But you now possess the ring of exploding the Cape of Exploding Flight.
01:09:22
Speaker
And unless you do something soon to notify Baal, Tharok is going to take another... oh Oh, sorry, my bad. We're done now. Okay. bob but bla but ba bo he's He's starting to smell like bacon. feel like we need to we need to cool this bitch down.
01:09:37
Speaker
Seven points of fire damage. ah I'm stopping now. Sorry. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ya oh yes I've got it. ah I'm stopping concentration. Okay. I'm coming back into the room.
01:09:51
Speaker
Yeah, just as your best-wish style about to come off, you hear Farrakh start to say, stop this or you'll be adding a flaming sword to your sex plate. Okay. of That's a shame.
01:10:02
Speaker
It's good. Thank you. Looks very good. And the cape. Yeah, that looks good on your shoulders too. It suits you. It suits you. You can put your clothes back on now. So is that class as heavyweight? Once I've cooled down, perhaps, Farrakh is then going to walk straight out of the room with just the cape on into the cool air of the sleet. Handkerchief. guy I'm getting that handkerchief back. i'm like Oh, he's gone.
01:10:26
Speaker
Seth, where were you positioned in all this once you'd left? Just stood outside, just stood like confused in the rain. it just yeah Just looking up at the sky, trying to make sense of everything.
01:10:38
Speaker
As this hail is sort of pounding your face, you just see running beside you this burning, crispy Tharok. Completely naked.
01:10:48
Speaker
Do you know what I'm cooking? ah With this very empowering cloak nonetheless. And Seth's going to look at this... unblinking and follow him as he runs somewhere.
01:11:02
Speaker
so It becomes a war once he starts to cool down. He's just going to say, i think they're all fucking each other. Am I the only one that isn't? Is it Emron and Trace?
01:11:18
Speaker
shit And he's just going to continue looking up at the hail and just every now and then holding bits of it in his hand, letting it melt as form changes from one to the other. um Yeah, and think about hell.
01:11:32
Speaker
at What Farrakh will do once he's called down, he'll realise he needs a drink. So he's going to storm back into the main hall, just walk right past this icy... As you open the gates to the main hall and look inside...

Tension with Sebastian's Arrival

01:11:45
Speaker
You're greeted with a scene of an individual pulling a short bow back, notched an arrow, pointing at Trace. It is not Ghostwing.
01:11:58
Speaker
It is Sebastian Sleekar.
01:12:03
Speaker
What do you do? He's still naked.
01:12:09
Speaker
Brilliant. That was a nod, listeners, by the way. Farok's still naked. Farok will see this and he will just turn... Oh, fucking shit.
01:12:22
Speaker
Seth, get over here right now. do you turn around quite quickly when you do that? ah as He will just say it. still keep He's keeping his eye on Sebastian, but the the shout then gets louder because he hears how heavy the... Seth!
01:12:38
Speaker
ah Seth will kind of snap out of his sleet staring state and run in. um and as he runs in, it's when he first clocks your clock and he looks up, oh shit, oh shit.
01:12:53
Speaker
And then he looks back to the fight. um The rest of you would have heard Therok go Seth at the top of his lungs as well. But carry on, Seth. Would Alpha and Emron be as were over in theve in the forge? I'm pretty sure Therok screaming the word Seth would have probably alerted you. Okay, okay.
01:13:09
Speaker
Let's go running. I'll start gingerly putting my at least my bottom clogs back on while while that's happening. They're with us, man. Yeah, God for the other You're nude now. You're nude. You stood there with your Superman cape on. walk back to the other one and I'll say to Baal and Nix as I walk past, there's some fucking serious shit happening in there. to Slap, slap, slap. You're very uncomfortable.
01:13:38
Speaker
I'll be like, if that's only half-orc, I'd love to see full-orc. What happens when he rages? That's what I want to He'll go, it will go it I'm half-dwarf, you have to consider that, and it's also really cold. And as he gets back into the other room, he'll... I've ruined this fucking moment. yeah No, no, no, this is perfect.
01:13:59
Speaker
But he'll go back into the other room and pick up his cakes.
01:14:04
Speaker
the the main common room Seth, you just shout the word Sebastian and you see this very feeble looking prince who really isn't used to firing a bow, like shaking at how much he's having to pull back, um like a muscle group he doesn't use. You shout his name and he instantly turns to you with it. And just in that that chaotic movement at moment, lets go of the arrow.
01:14:30
Speaker
Dharak, what's your AC? 19. nineteen Okay, this arrow just kind no, fuck that. it's not I'm not wearing my armor. No, it' it's not that. Hold on, I'll have to unequip my armor. You're naked. Sorry, my character sheet is... Oh, fuck. I mean, you're a barbarian, don't you get... Don't want to know where this arrow is going to land. Yeah, but where does it hit you?
01:14:49
Speaker
But she... To be fair, it goes down to 17. Yeah, it only goes down to... I haven't got shield leader, so let's take that Pick an AC, Darren. It goes down to 15. 15. 15.
01:15:03
Speaker
It misses anyway. it It just sort of goes between your legs, missing by a short distance and just impales the grass behind you. Mazel tov!
01:15:16
Speaker
Oh no, too real, too real. As that happens, Farrakh will then go, right, yes, I should put some clothes on. That's a point, well made. Thank you, Sebastian. And we'll just turn out of the room and then walk back to Barlow and Nick's and have that conversation he's just had about, it's just offside, you have to consider that and it's also really cold. At which point, he's to put his clothes What the fuck is going on? Sebastian just shouts to the room in a sense of desperation.
01:15:42
Speaker
We're just settling in with Garmin. We're waiting for the others. Something don't fucking know. They're all banging. Are you okay?
01:15:53
Speaker
I was beaten. I was enslaved. I was... No, I'm not okay. i might a minute My home is on fire.
01:16:04
Speaker
What happened? Everyone opens his mouth to speak.
01:16:14
Speaker
I you think it would be best to have Seth explain this, Emeron. Seth, you better start talking. ah Yeah, so basically the plan was... And that's where we're going to end this week's episode. Oh, mother fucker!
01:16:31
Speaker
I mean, no, no, that's fair because we have to leave time to record ah Callum's bit at the end. So thats that's fair. Absolutely. That's very true. Exactly. I'm just trying to think of sound effects. I can put him for Tharok walking away. be like a...
01:16:46
Speaker
it'd be like a At certain points, you face the point where you have to ask the very real questions about your character on the spot. And that very real question was, is Farrakh the type of orc to wear underwear in his casual clothes? And the answer was unequivocally, no. no Yeah, 100%. And also has birthed the phrase, hung like an orc, which is brilliant. Yeah. What's really interesting in all of this is that we've changed cloaks before and it didn't involve people

Episode Conclusion and Social Media Handles

01:17:14
Speaker
getting naked. So you've just been hazed.
01:17:16
Speaker
Oh yeah. A hundred percent. But you've got a nice steel leg. He's alright with it. I also like the fact that you wearing armour is completely superfluous because of your barbarian armoured stuff. It's really not. It's Diablo 2. It's really at all.
01:17:29
Speaker
It's like Diablo 2 if you ever play a female character. The armour is like one piece of boob wear and that's apparently the boost to AC 50 whereas for a bloke it's full plate male.
01:17:40
Speaker
Well he's AC but is good it's just it's just a mithral vest. That's his AC. That's his armour. And if you want to talk some more to us about AC you can find us on the X.
