Introduction and Episode Focus

00:00:00
Speaker
Welcome, Chick Foley show.
00:00:22
Speaker
What is up, Foley fan? We are back with another episode of the

Clash at the Castle Highlights and Wyatt Six Debut

00:00:26
Speaker
Chick Foley show. We're going to be discussing Clash at the Castle, the shocking debut of the Wyatt Six and everything else that's happened in the last week of wrestling. But first, let me introduce the star of the show, Sheena. How are you doing? I'm doing good. I'm a little shook after the Wyatt Six debut, so I'm excited to talk about it.
00:00:45
Speaker
Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun. Just so many different directions to go, man. We gotta figure out exactly what is coming next with this thing. I mean, we've seen a lot of spooky stuff over the history of wrestling, but this is really unlike anything we've seen before. But let's get our intro and housekeeping out of the way first. We do gotta change the scenery. My grandparents are here visiting right now, so we're recording in the home office slash wrestle room. Do you feel like just overloaded with wrestling vibes right now, Shane?
00:01:15
Speaker
Yeah, we used to record in here all the time. We used to sit at the little table and record. Then we moved our operation to our playroom and we bounced all up. There was only a short period of time we were doing it in here because remember the Wi-Fi was just too bad. Yeah, the Wi-Fi does get stuck in here. The way our house is set up, the home office is... As far away from the router as possible.

Farm Updates and Social Media Reminders

00:01:35
Speaker
So Sheena, let us know what's new on the farm.
00:01:37
Speaker
Uh, not a whole lot. Garden's just producing a ton. It's, um, you know, got cucumbers coming out my freaking ears. So I'm going to be making some, some pickles here shortly. So that's, that's about as update as we got. Did we, uh, what did you do different on the cucumbers this year from last year? Remember last year they weren't, they were fine, but they weren't like super duper flavorful. Yeah. So I just changed the variety. So I went, uh, last year I just did like a regular, like
00:02:01
Speaker
you know, national pickling cucumber. And, you know, sometimes they have a tendency if you don't pick them when they're just right, they get kind of bitter. So I went with a different variety of the show with like, it's called like, jibai shimurazu or something like that. And yeah, they're really good, super sweet, resistant to powdery mildew. And so far, they've been really good.
00:02:20

Clash at the Castle Match Structure and Outcome

00:02:55
Speaker
All right, so we had Clash at the Castle this past week. Shane, what were your thoughts?
00:03:00
Speaker
I loved it. It was a quick, zippy five-match card. What was it, like two and a half hours or something? It was glorious, dude. So you guys know I'm all about, you know, just a quick, clean card, because especially, I mean, we watched it later in the day. I know a lot of you guys watched it in the middle of the day, but we had a lot- You're on extreme tape, Delia. Yeah, we had a lot of stuff going on on Saturday, so we, you know, we watched it in the evening. So two and a half hours, I can usually get through that without trying to fall asleep.
00:03:30
Speaker
It's crazy that that's become like a breath of fresh air because for decades, that was the standard. You like two hours and 15 minutes was your standard pay-per-view length. And now it's back to those seem like zippy shows now. So it's just funny how the perception changes over time. We get in so condition to basically four hours being the average runtime. I mean, we literally watch three hours of raw every week.
00:03:50
Speaker
You know what I mean? Like there's one show that's like three solid hours of just a weekly television show. So two hours feels like nothing. Yeah. Let's get into the matches. So started off with the I quit match Cody and AJ. I thought Cody won this thing relatively easy. I mean, I say that knowing that, you know, it ended with AJ handcuffs about to get smashed in the head with the steps, but still as far as I quit matches go, I feel like
00:04:15
Speaker
Failure's pretty tame, even by WWE standards. Yeah, it was really hard for me to see either one of these guys saying, I quit. So when AJ finally just folded in that moment, I was kind of like, whoa. He just did it. I thought for sure there was going to be something, some hijinks, like AJ was going to be incapacitated. Something was going to happen where it was either a non-finish or it was kind of a screwy finish. But we all saw AJ called out, I quit. And that was pretty much that.
00:04:44
Speaker
Yeah, and I feel like I feel like you'd almost be better off going with a tap out than straight up. Just like the cowardly like I quit begging for mercy. Well, I actually heard Sam Roberts gave a really good review on his clashes. I don't know if it was on his immediate clash of the castle review or his like, you know, regular Monday show. But he talked about how this could be a really good point because, you know, obviously like nobody wants to see AJ just
00:05:12
Speaker
say I quit, right? But he gave a good point that maybe this is the turning point. Maybe he saw something in Cody's eyes. He saw AJ was over there messing with Mama Rhodes, dude. Maybe Cody's finally slowly cracking. We're obviously not going to see a heel Cody anytime in the near future, but maybe this is the genesis of Cody kind of just slowly starting to turn to the dark side.
00:05:36
Speaker
Yeah. That's interesting you mentioned that because on Undertakers, not to just keep pinging around from different podcasts. Yeah. I mean, I just didn't want to rehash everything that you know. I mean, go listen to that show if you want to do that, that sort of analysis. On Undertaker's Six Feet Under podcast this week, he said that he thinks there's a ton of money and it's actually going to be even bigger when Cody turns heel. He thinks he's going to be a bigger heel than a babyface. What's your thoughts on that?
00:06:00
Speaker
I can see it, man. I mean, I don't think he's gonna have a lifelong babyface run like John Cena. I think it's gonna be, I think we're gonna get a heel Cody at some point in the future. I think we're gonna finish out all of the bloodline stuff. I think we're gonna get our rock Cody match and all that kind of, you know, tie a little bow on that. And then beyond that is where we're gonna get heel Cody.
00:06:24
Speaker
He's still two years past my expectations. I thought the fans, I know everybody was really excited when he came back at WrestleMania 38. I was expecting him to be receiving booze by summer 2022. I really think that that pec injury he had was like the biggest blessing in disguise. Because I think maybe before he would have hit that initial expiration date, that just bought him a ton of sympathy and let the fans really miss him. And then by the time he came back, it was time to go toe to toe with Roman.
00:06:48
Speaker
Yeah, just, you know, the Lord works in mysterious ways, man. And I just, I think that really was kind of perfect timing for him to just take a six month pause. Like give us, give us a little taste of what Cody back in WWE feels like and then take it away until it's time for Mania season. And then he got inserted into, you know, the best built storyline of the last 20 years. For sure.
00:07:07
Speaker
Also, while we're on the topic, man, I just want to point out again, I think it's absolutely criminal that we finally got an Undertaker podcast and it's just called Six Feet Under. Dude, Dead Man Talking was right there. I know. It's right there, dude. They missed that hardcore. They even didn't do it. He's doing his at the big WWE pay-per-views now. They're doing Undertaker shows where he just gets up and tells stories and stuff and it's called One Dead Man Show. How is that not called Dead Man Talking?
00:07:34
Speaker
I don't know. I don't know what these people are doing, man. I mean, it's so perfect, dude. If you need a marketing manager, Seth is available. He's up for retirement, so maybe he's ready to take on his next career as a creative marketing executive. Anything in the wrestling biz, man. Some of this stuff is just right there. I feel like maybe they think it's too obvious, and that's why they don't do it. Look at Matt Hardy. His podcast called The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy. Spoken Matt Hardy. How do you not go with that, dude? I know.
00:08:04
Speaker
I got him for days, dude. Whenever Vince finally does his pod with Conrad, it's going to be called No Chance Until.
00:08:12
Speaker
That one's a little Richie, but I think it's pretty good. Yeah. I think it's pretty good. All right.

Women's Match Result and Match Botch Discussion

00:08:17
Speaker
Let's go on. So we had the, the women's triple threat match. It kind of was what it was. Uh, unholy union got the hometown pop, which was a cool moment. I, you know, not that I'm any by any means the judge and jury. I don't know if they necessarily earned that one or deserve to get the win, but you know, they got the home, the home field advantage and that definitely counts for something in Triple H's WWE.
00:08:37
Speaker
Yeah, they definitely got, well, you always say they got their XP boosted whenever they went to Scotland. But yeah, it was a bummer.
00:08:47
Speaker
In that moment when Unholy Union got the win, I immediately was like, oh crap, what does this mean for Drew? Because I was like, this was like the hometown gimme. They punched that hole in the scavenger hunt car. Yeah, exactly. So I kind of just had a really bad feeling that we were going to get some high jinks with Drew. And we were right. My spidey senses were tingling and they were right because, yeah, it was nuts.
00:09:15
Speaker
Definitely sloppy finish to this, and everybody was really beating up Jade about botching that slingshot clothesline. Turned out that there was a known issue with the ropes. We saw in the main event, Damian Priest got tripped up going for his signature springboard launcher. God, that was so bad. Yeah.
00:09:31
Speaker
Yeah, and there's even a clip like because I know at first WWE made it known that there was an issue with the ring and at first all the you know, the online naysayers with the terminally online wrestling folks gonna say and oh they're just making excuses for Jade, you know to cover up and then they you actually see somebody caught a clip of the referee right for AJ's match like pointing to the ropes and showing him like hey the ropes kind of loose because you know AJ does all kinds of slingshot stuff so I kind of as a one-off dude Jade's awesome and that she does
00:10:00
Speaker
Absolutely amazing feats of strength and agility every single time she's out there. When you're going for the wow factor like that, sometimes you're going to just have trip ups, man. I'm not going to beat her up about it. No.

Future Tag Team Predictions and Alpha Academy

00:10:13
Speaker
Let's be honest, dude. I would love for every person who wrote something critical about that move for Jay. I would love for them to show their face. Send us in a picture of you and doing anything athletic. You know what I mean? Let's be real here because, dude,
00:10:28
Speaker
I always hate when people are hating on people who are more successful than them, you know what I mean? I've considered myself a pretty athletic person and I still would mess with
00:10:38
Speaker
like hating on Jay. I don't mind a botch, man. A botch reminds you that it's real. Yeah, true. It's not gymnastics out there. It's not ballet. Sometimes you need a little botch, a little bit of struggle on stuff. I know. It was a botch. It was a slip. She fell. It wasn't like she had somebody in a pile driver and messed up and broke somebody's freaking neck. It was literally just
00:10:59
Speaker
a slip. Anyway, I just always hate when people just automatically go to the Twitter machine and start talking all that trash when I'm like, dude, you couldn't even... You would get winded walking up the steps. You know what I mean? The belts are off of the ex-women, as I call them, the mutants, maybe Bianca and Jay, the freaks.
00:11:22
Speaker
Do you think we're going to, obviously like that match is going to happen at some point. Do you think it's happening at SummerSlam or do we continue to draw this out? Because that definitely feels like it could be a WrestleMania match with no belts whatsoever. Yeah, I think it's going to get drug out, dude. I'm not ready for the, for the Jade and Bianca split. I mean, dude, I think we're just getting started with them. They, cause I mean, this, this win, I mean, or this defeat, it was, wasn't their fault. You know what I mean? Like they, neither one of them took the pin. Their move actually incapacitated Shana, which, you know,
00:11:51
Speaker
I wouldn't be shocked to see him get the belts back in the next couple of weeks, maybe get a quick rematch. And dude, they look so good, man. Let's be real, they look fantastic. A two-pack of those two figures would be phenomenal. I want those looks in figure form ASAP, man. Yeah, Jade just looks... She looks like she just literally walked right off the set of X-Men, man.
00:12:10
Speaker
She really does. It's like, she looks like she should be CGI or something. Unreal. Sammy and Chad, another good match. Chad comes up short just again, but did the Alpha Academy turmoil is that's become like the number two or number three story in the whole WWE right now. It's been so good. You saw the pop for Otis dude on Saturday and then again on Monday night, finally turned it on Chad Gable. It's been great to see Akira Tozawa, Otis, and Maxine Dupree get some shine off this whole thing.
00:12:38
Speaker
Yeah, I'm excited for Otis to get his big moment too because the whole Mandy situation was happening during the Thunderdome era.
00:12:47
Speaker
And I feel like that could have been a much bigger deal if it was in front of a crowd. That would have been like Otis's like crowning achievement. And I feel like he's getting that momentum again. So love seeing Otis get some shine. Everybody's doing a great job. And I still got a feeling sooner than later, Chad Gable was going to end up with that intercontinental championship around his waist. I think it's going to be the Creed's and Ivy Nile finally aligning, become the new Alpha Academy. I think that's when we see Sammy Zane finally take the L.
00:13:14
Speaker
Yeah, Chad deserves it, man. I was a little bit surprised that he didn't win it here, to be honest. Yeah, same. It seemed like it was kind of now or never, because this is the third time he's got a shot at that championship. But obviously, the story's still going. I think he's going to go away from that belt a little bit, and he'll still end up being the one to take it from Sammy once his heel turn is fully complete.
00:13:37
Speaker
Bailey and Piper, that kind of just was what it was. I think that was just a match to get Piper on the card. It was a good well-worked match, but I don't think anything's really coming out of that one. No, it was a good match. And then the main event, man, this was awesome, dude. I thought it was Damian Priest, probably best match since he's been champ.
00:13:53
Speaker
Really, really good one. Drew, obviously, over like Rover, true home field advantage. And that damp CM Punk screwed you over. Drew just cannot catch a break in Scotland or the UK. Yeah, it was wild. I immediately, now I was talking about people talking trash. I didn't do it publicly, but I was just like, I did the thing that you're not supposed to do. I was trying to apply logic to an illogical situation. When CM Punk, I was like, so when he did that and Drew lost, I was already kind of a little salty about it.
00:14:23
Speaker
And I was like, oh yeah, so CM Punk just happens to be back there in a ref's uniform. And sure enough, WWE was one step ahead of me, dude. It was right after the match, they released it on social media. Yeah, on Twitter. Yeah, on Twitter. And the extra shirt from Jessica Carr. Yeah, so I was like, okay, well, there they go.
00:14:43
Speaker
The fact that they threw that little 45 second clip was so good. I mean, it took absolutely nothing to produce that, get that out. And that adds so much to the product, man. Yeah. Cause I mean, like, again, like we all know a little bit, dude. Yeah. We all know what's going on, but it's just like when stuff like that happens, you're just like.
00:15:01
Speaker
You gotta suspend your disbelief a little bit harder, but when they do stuff like that, you're like, okay, well this ties it up. It makes the world alive. Yes, exactly. Like everything happening backstage, like still, like people are still in the world when they're not in front of the camera. Yeah. The wind was absolutely sucked out of that stadium. Like it was bananas, dude.
00:15:23
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, to be fair, like that was the most obvious logical booking decision. I think like in a vacuum, that was definitely the thing to do. It just, it made sense seeing punk screws drew over once again, but I just, I still thought Drew was going to win just because I did not think that David W had the stomach to have him lose like that in Scotland. Yeah. So hats off to it, man, because Triple H must really be cooking up something good. He's committed to the story, dude. I mean, say what you want, but Triple H is committed to this becoming just like an absolute blood feud.
00:15:52
Speaker
Yeah. Overall, I give Clash the Castle two thumbs up, man. Again, like Sheena said, they feel lighter, dude. They're on Peacock, so you're getting them basically for free, right? It's like seven bucks a month, I think, is what we pay for Peacock.
00:16:07
Speaker
And you know, they just, it seems like there's just not a lot of weight to them, dude. Like WWE is just so hot right now. Like it just feels like there's not that much of a bar. Like people are just going to sit down and be entertained by what goes on in front of it. I can't even really put a finger on why that is, but it feels like they're just playing with like on easy mode right now as far as like the fan, like the internet wrestling community perception of these shows.
00:16:29
Speaker
Yeah. Cause I mean, we all know wrestling fans, we can be inherently negative at times. And yeah, it just feels like everybody's playing along. Everybody knows what their role is and everybody is, uh, you know, like you said, cheering the faces, booing the heels. Um, and the international shows are fun because like.
00:16:45
Speaker
Obviously, if you watch them in real time, typically you're watching in the middle of the day or in the morning, but it just kind of like opens up the whole day for you. You're like, okay, well, I can sit down and watch this at my leisure versus like, you know, watching a pay-per-view on a Sunday night when it's like, you know, got to get up and go to work on Monday morning. So I thought, I love the international shows. Yeah. They each have their own feel. The crowds are unique. You get a unique chance. The stadiums are unique looking like, and they've just, they've done such a great job with the presentation here lately.
00:17:12
Speaker
It's just a lot of fun, man. I am looking forward to, you know, a big show with SummerSlam coming up, but this little kind of world tour they've been on the last few paper views has been a lot of fun. Yeah. Money in the Banks and with Canada, right? Toronto. Yeah. So that's basically, you know, America. America, the base. Yeah. All right.

Seth Rollins' Return and Judgment Day Speculations

00:17:29
Speaker
So open up Monday Night Raw. Seth Rollins was the surprise return and immediately booked into a World Heavyweight Championship match with Damian Priest, man. That's interesting.
00:17:41
Speaker
It's interesting, but I don't know, I'm not surprised, man. I mean, Seth is the man, and I feel like, I mean, how this ends up going, I don't know, because thinking about Damian Priest beating Seth after he took those Ls at Mania, I feel like that's a stretch. It's on Money in the Bank, so depending on where it happens in the night could be crucial to how this thing plays out, you know, and who gets that briefcase. So there's that to think about.
00:18:10
Speaker
The other thing is Gunther is awaiting the winner. Whoever comes out of Money in the Bank with the championship, that's going to be facing Gunther at SummerSlam. To me, Seth in Gunther makes a lot more sense as a marquee match than Priest in Gunther. That's no dis to Damian Priest, but he's not Seth, dude. I have enjoyed Damian Priest's run with the belt. I like Damian Priest a lot, but he's just not Seth Rollins.
00:18:34
Speaker
Shout out to Damien Priest, man, because at the origins of this show, Damien Priest was just coming into his own. And I was not on board with Damien Priest. He just was not it for me. And through the years, he has definitely climbed the ranks and shown what he's capable of. And yeah, man, good champion. I think he's definitely more than a transitional champion.
00:18:57
Speaker
Yeah, so I don't think it's gonna be Priest and Gunther at SummerSlam. I think we're looking at, I think it's either gonna be Seth or whoever wins that Money in the Bank briefcase, man, fighting Gunther. I see Damien Priest going up against Finn Balor or Dom, some sort of Judgment Day. Yeah, we got a lot, there's a lot going on in the Judgment Day right now. I mean, we got a whole key card situation that's boiling over.
00:19:25
Speaker
Dom, Dom's distracted. We got freaking, oh my gosh, Liv, just cooking things up. So yeah, there's- Carlito hanging out, aging of chaos. Yeah. So I think it makes more sense for him to get back in and, and, you know, I mean, Finn's in the Money in the Bank match, right? Or he's, yeah, so I mean- Yeah, Finn, or he's going to be in the qualifying match. So yeah, he's most likely, he lost to Jay on Monday night, but I feel by hook or by crook, I feel like Finn Balor ends up getting into that match.

Wyatt Six Debut Analysis and Audience Reactions

00:19:54
Speaker
right. And then obviously the biggest thing from Rob, we finally saw the debut of the Wyatt Six. Shane, you're the horror aficionado after the two of us, dude. Like what's your review on the, we finally got the reveal after months of QR codes and spooky videos. So as a horror aficionado, I loved it. I thought like, whoa, this is so super cool. It was like just one long camera shot, like going through gorilla position. There was blood, there was fog, there was like,
00:20:22
Speaker
creepy masks and creeps, and it was great.
00:20:28
Speaker
I thought it was a perfect way to introduce the, uh, the Wyatt six. However, like, and let me preface this by saying, I want this to succeed. I want this to like be awesome. I want all of this to, you know, go off without a hitch. But after seeing how they, like they did a literal massacre, I thought like massacre was like, I don't know, like implied or something, right? Like I didn't know they were actually going to like have bloodshed backstage and have people with like, you know,
00:20:56
Speaker
look like they have bullet holes in their head and stuff like that. So yeah, it was a little bit, it was a little bit wild, which just kind of, it makes me a little bit cautious to get too excited. Cause I'm like, Oh boy, now are we gonna, how are we gonna fit this in? Because I feel like WWE has done such a great job of just becoming more like
00:21:16
Speaker
I don't know, sports-based versus like. It's more grounded. Yeah, it's more grounded in its sports origins. And I think fitting this in is gonna be tough. How do you get to the bell ringing? Yeah, it was tough for Bray. And Bray, he was one of the most brilliant minds there were, right? And I feel like it was even tough for him at times to make it make sense. So I'm hopeful, but it's gonna be a wild ride.
00:21:43
Speaker
Yeah, I'm kind of right there with you, dude. I will keep an open mind on this thing, see how they present it. But even what we saw on the night, as cool as it was, I thought the costume, the production value was off the charts, too. It was really, really cool. And I can't wait to see these guys in the video games, and especially getting figures of them. And I'll consider this whole thing a win if we can just get figures of these guys. That would be awesome. Let's get a Mattel Creations five-pack going right now, dude. Made to order. Charge 250, if you want, man. We'll snap it up.
00:22:14
Speaker
But yeah, I just, you know, how do you get to a point where it's, you know, Joe Gacy and Dexter Loomis fighting authors of pain to see who's gonna be the number one contender for the tag belts, right? Right. And maybe it doesn't get to that. Maybe this is gonna be something different that we've never even seen before. Maybe these guys aren't even gonna be doing matches. They're just gonna be, you know,
00:22:31
Speaker
a guiding hand across the events of the WWE universe for the next couple years. But at the end of the day, that's not what this whole thing is about, man. It still comes down to, as Steve Austin says, getting inside that 20 by 20 and fighting it out. And it's just, this was so far out there. I'm still waiting to see exactly how they explain
00:22:50
Speaker
what that was that we saw, because some of that bloodshed was so over the top, you know what I mean? Chad Gable, like, if you really look at it, like, yeah, it was just kind of like a loom, but they made it look like how you'd see like a bullet hole staged in TV. There was a dude next to Dexter Loomis that looked like you have like, you know, his brain splattered out across the back of it. Like, I mean, I'm still not totally convinced that they aren't going to play this off as some sort of like Donnie Darko. Like, this was like Uncle Howdy's vision that, you know, somehow we were all able to see, which. Wow.
00:23:19
Speaker
I mean, somehow like that sound that is complicated and as crazy as that sounds to me that still sounds, I feel like that might be the most logical explanation for a little show. Yeah, kind of like the fun house type situation where you know, we could see this thing somehow happening even though, you know, it's
00:23:35
Speaker
appears to be like happening in somebody's mind or something, right? It shouldn't be a real place. I don't know. I'm not totally convinced that they don't find a way to, again, I don't know how you're going to explain that to a fan base. But to me, that makes more sense than just, oh, these guys straight up laid out the entire backstage area. Because if that's legitimately what we're as presented as happened, then how are these guys even allowed in the arena? Why are you not calling the cops? We've had security come and drag people out for interfering in matches, dude.
00:24:04
Speaker
We're going to let these guys just lay waste to everyone. I hate to shit on it, but it's just so far out there compared to... There was a triple threat qualifying match to get a spot in the money bank happening right before this went on the air.
00:24:19
Speaker
And if it's something that just exists off on its own island, like the brace stuff did for a lot of times, that's cool. I'll accept it. You know, I'll go to Spookyville for 15 minutes every every week and every every couple of paper views. But it's yeah, it's just going to be weird. It is. I mean, it is. It's giving me shades of oh, my gosh, what was what was the faction, the slapjack?
00:24:45
Speaker
No, we're not going to compare these guys to Retribution. No. That's something we ain't going to do on here, dude. I'm just saying that it's like so, it's just so over the top, dude. And I love, I love a mask. I love entrance gear. I love it to be... I didn't think Retribution was that over the top. They were just supposed to be like Antifa, but wrestlers did. Like these guys are on a whole different level from
00:25:08
Speaker
from retribution retribution with like chainsaws and like they just put on the ring and stuff we've seen that before nw did some more stuff nexus did that back when they debuted we we'd seen that before and I felt like that's still I feel like that's still made sense in the context of
00:25:24
Speaker
other wrestling world right these guys are there to just cause havoc but still with the intent to wrestle like i feel like they were having matches within a couple weeks man there was never nothing to this level though yeah and you also wonder like is everybody supernatural right like does everybody just do all of the characters have powers or is it just like these are just
00:25:43
Speaker
drones. I don't know. You know what I mean? It's going to be a lot, but we had this moment, man. I think it was definitely a moment that's going to go down and get remembered. You saw Mika Rotunda, Bray's younger sister. If you haven't, check out her post she had on Instagram. She had a really, really
00:26:02
Speaker
touching post about how much it meant to her and the whole family to see Bray's vision carried on. So again, like I said, you got a moment, man, which is more than you can say for most wrestlers that ever, ever exist. And if we get some cool figures out of it,
00:26:18
Speaker
I'll call it a win. They at least got to try it. I think at the end of the day, it's worth giving it a shot because we were all hyped for it with the white rabbit. When Bray came back at Extreme Rules, we had no hesitation to just be fully on board with whatever Bray was dishing out. I do think it's worth it. I think the fact that Bo Dallas, Taylor, whatever you want to call it, is doing it
00:26:43
Speaker
It makes it where it's okay. I'm okay with it because I feel like if anybody's going to do it, he's the person to do it. It's not just some random wrestler, even a friend. That's his brother. You know what I mean? There's nobody better to at least try to take this on than him. I kind of just thought of this now since we're going down the speculation fantasy book in rabbit hole, dude. I would almost just next week have Bo Dallas just show back up.
00:27:08
Speaker
if not necessarily Bo Leave, like something similar to Bo Leave, like nothing even happened. Like don't even acknowledge, like try to ask him about it and don't even acknowledge what we saw. And just let him be Bo Dallas for like months and then get another glimpse of these guys coming back, dude. I feel like Les is definitely gonna be more with these guys, man. I feel like something like that could work, you know? Right, and that was always one of my biggest gripes with Bray back in the early days. Like when it was just past the original Wyatt family when he was just like doing his like- He'd just get a five minute promo.
00:27:37
Speaker
talking, talking, laughing, laughing. Yeah, talking, talking, laughing, laughing. Exactly. Yeah, less is going to be more because it needs to be a moment when these guys... An event. An event when you see these guys because they are just so far out there. Yeah, I don't want to see freaking...
00:27:56
Speaker
Pig mask doing squash matches. Like I said, dude freakin Joe Gacy and Dexter Loomis against AOP for the tennis ship for the tag belts Yeah, like how does that how do you how do you have that just coming out of a commercial break? You know, right? Yeah, I don't know it was
00:28:12
Speaker
Mark us skeptical day like I said I and I you guys know me dude I'm typically the biggest mark out of out of the four of us in the chick Foley sphere I'm almost always positive on pretty much every anything these companies will put out in front of us I can find a way it's something to get excited about and this was really cool, but dude I just I have very I'm just as skeptical as skeptical gets on on the long-term prospects of this thing and
00:28:36
Speaker
Yeah, I just feel like there's a ceiling on it. And again, like we saw, if you watch the Bray documentary, dude, creatively trying to make these things make sense in a world of wrestling. It never really worked for Bray, dude. Really outside of as many cool moments, like the vibes were always on point and there were always cool moments, but outside of the cult leader stuff when it was him, Harper and Rowan, like that first year, and then maybe the first six months of the Fiend,
00:29:02
Speaker
It never really worked, dude. It just didn't, man. His talent was enough that it could still overcome, like a formal booking and nonsensical stuff. Yeah, and his popularity. People love Bray. And obviously, we look through it with rose-colored glasses right now, dude. Because yeah, we love Bray. Like I said, I got a Bray Wyatt mask hung up on our wall in my office right now, dude. Elite 28 Bray Wyatt was the first Mattel figure I got, dude. You met Bray at WrestleMania 31. Yeah, I met Bray at WrestleMania 31. So I freaking love Bray, dude. Probably more than a lot of folks out there.
00:29:28
Speaker
But I can still admit that really for the majority of his stuff, it never really panned out. Yeah, it just doesn't translate, right? Even everybody always calls back to The Undertaker like, well, The Undertaker did it, but dude, The Undertaker went through tons of evolutions. Dude, you know what I mean? He had to keep on.
00:29:49
Speaker
And like Undertaker came up at a different time, dude. Undertaker was really, he came up when there were still the occupational wrestlers, dude. You had IRS, the accountant, you know what I mean? Guys like Duke the Dumpster Drozy, like, you know, Honky Tonk Man was a country music singer, dude, that happened to be a wrestler. And he was just, originally he was just a Western mortician, dude. The super duper supernatural stuff didn't come
00:30:10
Speaker
until much later on, dude. There was a little bit of Royal Rumble 94, and then he really didn't have powers until you get into the early 2000s of stuff once he comes back. That stuff was all way later on, and it was done in small doses, man.
00:30:26
Speaker
In the context of pro wrestling, he always made a lot, like, miles more sense than Bray Wyatt ever did, right? Yeah. Because he came up at a time when it was totally normal. Like, I'm looking at the wall right now, dude. So, you know, he's a Western mortician. You had a cop with Big Boss Man. You had Brutus the barber beefcake. You had hog farmers. Like, it just made a lot more sense back then. Like, there were people who did other jobs and just turned to wrestling. Right. Yeah. And literally, you know, Bray Wyatt was a mythical character amongst, like, you know, pro athletes.
00:30:55
Speaker
Yeah. That's why we said the time it worked best was that first year when he was the kooky, quasi-religious cult leader. Because there really are people like that in the South. You know what I mean? It goes to something like the hardcore, Pentecostal church and stuff like that kind of vibe. Yeah. Who feel like they're doing the righteous thing. You know what I mean? But they're evil for the sake of righteousness. That's when he was the most grounded in reality. As it got further and further wacky, that's when it just
00:31:21
Speaker
It kind of just swallows itself up. Yeah. Remember when, you know, the bugs shining on the ring when he was fighting Randy, or was it Randy? Yeah, that was the WrestleMania. We were at WrestleMania 33. And Randy burned his house down. Randy burned his house down was pretty cool. That was a cool little moment, dude. But yeah, like you said, it's moments. But then when you look back at the whole, it's like, what was that all for?
00:31:41
Speaker
Anyway, I don't want to be negative about it. Again, I'm keeping a totally open mind on this whole situation, and I'm glad they're at least, like I said, giving it- I pray I'm wrong, dude. I would love nothing more than to be proven totally wrong on this, but we're podcasting about wrestling. This is obviously the biggest thing that's happened in the last couple months, so we got to put our stake in the ground. I think we're both putting it on the side of where we're thinking this thing ends up being.
00:32:05
Speaker
Closer to being a flop than a this is awesome moment. I'll be happy to be wrong if I'm wrong. All right, let's take the weekly beverage break.
00:32:34
Speaker
All right, it's the weekly beverage break where we tell you guys what we're sipping on. And Sheena is really for the last year and a half, dude. She has just been an absolute wet blanket on the beverage break, dude, like either. I mean, it's to the point where like it's a plus if she's just drinking water. She'll be drinking like some weird like, you know, goat urine or like, you know, cucumber extract, some just the most random thing you can think of, mushroom coffee. For the record, I've never drank goat urine.
00:33:01
Speaker
She's potting completely dry, dude, like no beverage, dude, which is just... I don't even know how you do that, dude. How do you sit here and you're going to talk for probably close to an hour without even taking a sip of anything? She hates having a bed, dude. She'll eat the entire meals without drinking. I don't know how you can get it. I won't eat, dude. I'll let my food go cold. If it's between eating without a drink or letting the food go cold, I'll let the food go cold because you have to have a beverage to set it off, dude. You got to have a drink.
00:33:29
Speaker
One, it just helps the digestion and stuff and just the entire eating process. But more importantly, it just helps with enjoying the meal, dude. Like you got to have a good drink. Even if it's just a glass of ice water, you got to have something to go with your food. But Sheena will just sit there and wolf down a plate of food with nothing, not even a sip of it. Psycho behavior.
00:33:47
Speaker
See, I don't feel that way. I feel like you enjoy your meal. You allow just like the flavor to build. Like every time you take a drink of water or something, you're watering down that flavor and like the experience. No, you're cleansing your palate so that way you get to taste it all over again instead of having the remnants of the last bite still sitting on your tongue when you take a fresh bite. You could not be more wrong on that, dude.
00:34:09
Speaker
I mean, I don't always not have a drink, but- It's not out of the ordinary, dude. If I see you without a drink, it's not like, oh my God, you don't even drink. It's just a thing that you do. Yeah, I will sit down with a plate of food with no drink, but I mean, if I have a drink, I drink it.
00:34:26
Speaker
Yeah, this week I just totally sat down and we started potting and I totally forgot to grab a drink. I'm rolling dry this week. I think this is a first. I think this is an absolute Chick-Fully show first. Yeah, I do think it's a first since you've done that. I'm drinking a Bushlight down there on probably one of the most basic beers you can get. That's probably the most low-end beer that I'll go. I won't really get into the natty lights.
00:34:49
Speaker
Or anything like that. Yeah, the keystones bushlights buzz I was like I do like a bushlight dude It's you know, you guys know I'm big into like the fancy like craft beers and stuff Bushlight is super refreshing though You can't beat it especially in the summertime and right now they have their the 24 packs of the the the farmers beers out where they give a little big kickback to a farm rescue to help out Farmers across America and it's just a beautiful looking can with the the cornfield print and everything. So definitely get some bushlight So there it's a perfect beer for the summer
00:35:17
Speaker
Alright, let's get into some figure talk.

Wrestling Figures Review and Collectibles Overview

00:35:41
Speaker
All right, the figure four is where we give you guys a roundup of the latest and greatest and resting figure news. Want to remind you guys, this segment is brought to you by Ringside Collectibles. Use code CHICKFOLI to save 10% on all your purchases there. And we're going to start off with a live review. Ringside Collectibles hooked us up with the new Ringside exclusive AEW Jericho housing figure. Give us your thoughts on this one, man. You're holding it in hand right now. What do you think of Jericho housing?
00:36:10
Speaker
I mean, it's cool. It's a unique figure. I feel like, you know, it was needed. I don't know. Needed. Needed's doing some heavy lifting right there, dude. I'm trying to be nice. You called me negative and you said, I don't drink water. You're throwing me under the bus today. I'm trying to pick it up. I do think they... Ours, I don't know if this is all of them. Ours, the gums.
00:36:33
Speaker
the teeth of the color of the gum. So it looks like he doesn't have any teeth, which is kind of weird. Let me grab the other head scans. Yeah, because his teeth are pink, so it just really looks like he's like a grandma with no gums or with no teeth. That's only on the open mouth scan. He's got one where he's got his teeth gritted and the teeth are regular white. Yeah, but the yelling scan is, yeah, no teeth.
00:36:58
Speaker
Um, the, the cape is pretty cool. I think I like how they put the little wire in the cape so that way it kind of like a storm collective will start doing that with the jishin lager. Yeah. So it gives it a little bit more form and holds it open a little better. It was a little bit like walking out the fig photographers could go crazy with it. It's going to look it.
00:37:15
Speaker
It's going to look really cool with Danhausen. But yeah, like I said, I just feel like I could have named 30 AEW figures I would have wanted to have before this. The really unique thing is he was never even Jericho housing on AWTV. This is something from the cruise of Jericho or whatever it's called. So pretty neat, man. It's definitely a great on display along with Danhausen. And my son loves the AEW figures, just the articulation style. He's into that and he likes Danhausen a lot too.
00:37:44
Speaker
He was excited. Yeah, this figure is over with me just because of how excited the Bretman was to get it. And it is a really nice figure, but it's definitely an obscure one. I feel like, you know, a couple of years from now, this is going to be when people look back and kind of get a kick out of it that the jazzers actually did it. Yeah, for sure.
00:38:01
Speaker
Alright, so getting into just a little bit of figure news not going to cover everything but we're going to hit some of the big stories from the week so first off just revealed today, we see the next vault release, it's going to be Ring of the future shock tag team. This is Ring of Honor versions of Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly, and
00:38:22
Speaker
Don't know dude again. I kind of now that she mentioned it I feel bad cuz I feel like I have been a little bit negative on this pod But I'm not gonna stop right here dude who just who are making the choices on this line Yes, what are we doing here?
00:38:37
Speaker
Who is like beating down the fence to like give me some plain Jane Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly figures, man I just I don't get it. I don't even want a modern Kyle O'Reilly figure much less a freakin Yeah, I'm kind of good with what Mattel gave us man. Like yeah I figure good to go. Yeah, I don't need a you know homeless era
00:38:57
Speaker
Yeah, so if we're way off base here, man, if you guys are excited for these, let me know. But I feel like this is just... It's really kind of AEW in a nutshell. The big criticism on them our last year and a half, two years is that they're just increasingly catering to their niche, which is fine. Their niche and down hardcore, yeah. But they're still trying to...
00:39:16
Speaker
For at least what we see, they're still trying to be like a nationwide promotion and stuff. And now we're seeing it bleed down to the toy line, dude. I just feel like you got to be the absolute hardest of the hardcore Ring of Honor, AEW fans to be excited for these figures. Because they're just, one, it's an obscure choice anyways. And the actual figures are just not toyetic at all, man. Like these look like they could just be dollar store. Yeah. I was going to say they look very generic. They look like generic wrestler man. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, wrestler man. They're like $2.99 at dollar store.
00:39:45
Speaker
I don't know, dude. Hopefully, these do well because I've enjoyed some of the vault releases. The Malachi was really great. The Brian Danielson was really cool. Obviously, we're getting the Briscoes coming up pretty soon. If all this stuff is supporting those Briscoes figures coming out, I'm down with it, but not for me, man. This is a hard pass. How about you? Yeah. I mean, just be glad that those came out before the Briscoes. Imagine following the Briscoes with that.
00:40:10
Speaker
All right, we got studio shots of the turtles figures here. Now these are cool. These are cool, man. We got Seth Rollins as Leonardo, Ray Mysterio as Raphael, and then the Cody as Casey Jones. The Cody is sick, dude. Cody looks awesome.
00:40:26
Speaker
Even as a standalone, like if you look at the deco and stuff, it totally exists outside of being a Ninja Turtles figure and it's just a badass figure. It comes with a soft goods, like a little sleeveless hoodie joint. Got the American Nightmare hockey mask. Like, yeah, the Cody figure is freaking sick.
00:40:41
Speaker
I wonder if that mask is removable. It is. Oh, cool. Yeah, the mask is removable. Yeah, the Seth and the Ray are really cool. I like how I like this version of the Turtles wrestlers mashup more than the one we previously got. Yeah, these are must buys. How about you, Shane?
00:40:57
Speaker
Oh yeah, I think I definitely think they are. At one point we had, well no, we've re-bought all of the turtles haven't we? Yeah. So we still have all of the original WWE turtles. But yeah, I like this. I like kind of how it's just like inspired by turtles instead of like them being turtles. We know we're getting Roman as Shredder. I'm praying if we get another wave of these that we get Jimmy Uso and Solo Sokola as Bebop and Rocksteady to go along with Roman. That would be awesome. And then we get Paul Heyman as Crane.
00:41:28
Speaker
Imagine like Krang's body, like the big Krang body, but it's just Paul Heyman's head in there instead of the little Krang brain. Oh my gosh. Who would be April O'Neill? Becky Lich. Oh, duh. Duh. Duh. Seriously, right? Yeah. I can't believe I even asked. Then you could have, I'm thinking, you remember like the hip hop get go, I think you could have Jay Uso for that, dude. Yeah. It's just endless, man. Maybe Triple H, just like Master Splinter. That would be cool. Oh, yes.
00:41:54
Speaker
There's a lot of meat on the bone that they keep this going. You know, the Ghostbusters figures, that was really kind of a one and done. As far as what we've seen so far, it looks like we're just going to get this initial six figure run, but hopefully it sells good enough to where they want to keep it going. True, but the Ghostbusters are a pretty contained universe, all things considered. I mean, like, you know, the movie Ghostbusters.
00:42:12
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, there's really not a whole lot you could have done, you know, we could have had, I guess, totally. Stay Puft. Yeah, Stay Puft would have worked, dude. Remember there was that mock-up of Nia Jax and Stay Puft, the marshmallow man, that somebody made. I think that would have been free. I think that would have been a cool figure, dude. Yeah. Like, yeah, I think that would have been pretty sweet, man, but yeah.
00:42:31
Speaker
She didn't really exist in the same universe as like the one, like, you know, we got the Rock, John Cena. Yeah, it was the best of the best. It was arguably like if you're going to have like a five man Mount Rushmore, it could be the five we got in that line.
00:42:43
Speaker
You could have done maybe like a Yoko Zuna or something to stay puffed, but. Just seemed like a big body stay puffed. Yeah. All right. And then last but not least, I want to give Sheena a chance, or no, actually second to last, I want to give her a chance to get paid. We see this beautiful basic slash main event series 149, Maxine Dupree. Sheena's been hating, we'll take you guys behind the curtain, she's been hating on Maxine Dupree a little bit. I think Maxine's my latest Russell Crush man, and Sheena seems to have beef with that.
00:43:08
Speaker
Yeah, that's it. I mean, I have no beef with actually Maxine, her presentation in the ring. I think she's trying to be a cool girl. No, because this is not in the ring. You use like, oh, did you see Maxine's Instagram where she's going to Pilates? I was like, oh yeah, she's a cool girl. And she's like throwing up her little peace sign like, oh, you know, outfit of the day, get ready with me. Oh my God. Yeah. So I was just, you know, I was making fun of Seth for, you know,
00:43:34
Speaker
falling down the Maxine rabbit hole and actually going to her personal socials and checking her out. I mean, I see Maxine on my TV every week and I'm totally fine with what she's doing, but Seth's out there deep diving in the Maxine universe. I think she's been the unsung hero of this. She's kind of been the heart and soul man of this. She's the Miss Elizabeth thing. Yeah, exactly.
00:43:55
Speaker
Yeah, really. But all that being said, really, really great figure. We've gone on and on about how much they've been crushing it on the basics since they switched to the new articulation. And this looks like possibly one of the best of the bunch since they got the new one. Like this is basically an elite just without the the ab crunch. Really, really nice figure.
00:44:12
Speaker
Last, Monday Night Wars Series 3 has been found. I think this has the potential to be one of the most expensive sets ever on the resale market. You got four figures, I think everybody's going to want. We're getting Nation of Domination Rock, which the last time that got released was in 2016. What was a ringside and Kmart exclusive two-pack along with Farooq that was damn near possible to find?
00:44:37
Speaker
Got a Rob Van Dam. His figures always sell and this is a really, really cool colorful attire. We got Harlem Heat, awesome WCW tag team. They haven't been released since 2016. We're getting them a new attire. This is going to be black outfits instead of the red. And there's Chase figures are these guys in the blue outfits. And if that wasn't enough to build a figure is Brutus the barber beefcake as the disciple from the NWO, which was probably his most Toyota look ever.
00:45:03
Speaker
and this line has had absolutely horrible distribution man like it's been brutal like I haven't seen last time I went to Texas last week for work and I started last week last month for work I stopped at six different Walmart's between the trip down and the trip back up from basically Memphis to Dallas I did not see one series two Monday Night Wars figure man and they're even dry on eBay like I was able to get I got the fake diesel for a pretty good price and then
00:45:32
Speaker
We have not been able to, I've been hunting for that Kevin Nash to go along with us, from series one. And they're just not even showing up, man. So that means when they do show up because of the scarcity, they're freaking high as hell. And I think this set's going to be even worse. The first two sets were both, I wouldn't say lackluster, but probably mediocre on just like the figure choice and lineup. But this one's a straight up grand slam, dude. You got four figures, everybody's going to want plus the chases and to build a figure.
00:45:58
Speaker
This set is going to be brutal, man. Start setting aside a little bit of money right now because I got a bad feeling, guys, that we're going to have to hit that eBay, the secondary market for these. Yeah. But if you want, though, you can join the Foley fam because we're all out there hunting for each other. We do retail plus shipping. That would be your best bet. The Foley fam will definitely be on the come up for this. Every weekend. It's going to take a communal effort to
00:46:22
Speaker
to get these because everybody's going to need the whole set because you're going to want that disciple figure like you just you got to have it and I can't even imagine what these chase Harlem heat figure is going to go for that blue is just it looks beautiful man some really stunning figures the chase have not been found yet so maybe they're going to be in a second wave and some shippers or something later on this summer like how series one was
00:46:40
Speaker
But there's thoughts and prayers for collectors and for our wallets, because I feel like this sets a must have and it's going to be just a royal pain in the ass. I'm begging and pleading with Mattel. Just cut Walmart off, man. Give us all of our exclusives at Target. The last couple of legends says they've been so freaking easy to find, no issue whatsoever. Let's just keep them at Target, man. You can buy individual figures in the app and go to the store and pick them up. It's just easy, man.
00:47:03
Speaker
Yeah, Walmart. The toy section at Walmart is just absolute chaos, dude. The only good thing I'll ever say about Walmart is they never hold shit back. Target will keep shit in the bag for weeks waiting on a street date and stuff.
00:47:18
Speaker
If it's back there Walmart's gonna put that shit out. Yeah, they don't say that's how you know It's not even there so you got to check every day because you never know but yeah Walmart well They're putting that shit though if they're in a tab or they're just gonna throw it out on the shelf But yeah, take the top shelf check the bottom shelf at Walmart and check the next aisle over there's all you know, you got the toy section There's always like the chaos aisle where it's just got everything in it. Check that out because I've seen figures and I've seen wrestling figures in that aisle
00:47:42
Speaker
Yeah, the tops, they always, at our Walmart's here, they always stock the tops with like, you know, all the overflow stuff. So yeah. All right, let's get into random merch of the week.
00:48:10
Speaker
Alright random merch of the week is where we give you guys something random from the world of eBay. It's possibly bid on and add to your collection. This is one I'll put the link in the show notes. I had never seen these before. Pretty dang cool though so these are called 3d big zippers.
00:48:29
Speaker
I thought we did one of these on random merch before. No, we had one that was like a thermos. We saw something similar. We saw a stone cold one like this, but it was a thermos. These are the 3D big sippers. They look almost kind of like a bobble head, but they're just hard vinyl water bottles and stuff, and they're in the shape of a resin figure. So this one is mankind. This one's new with tags. Going for 65 bucks, man. Geez. Pretty steep. You can find these. If you're cool with getting a used one, you can get them for about 20, 25 bucks, man. But this one... Look at these come out.
00:48:57
Speaker
This would have been like 98, 99. Oh, really? I thought this was like... No, because these are straight up attitudes. I mean, look, it's WWF. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So these are straight up from the attitude era. So you're looking about 25, 26 years old, and there's a mankind one still with the tag. For what I could tell with a little bit of research I did this afternoon on these, there were four people included. It was mankind, Undertaker, Rock, and Austin. Of course. So the big four, the attitude era.
00:49:22
Speaker
looks like mankind rock and taker all had to single release Austin there's one in the traditional entrance vest and then there's one in the red Austin 316 shirt but yeah here's a mankind one with the tags this could be a cool little line to put together if you got just a ton of space in your display and want something unique to throw in there you can put together this set but I will send out the link to the mankind one what do you think of this this guy's
00:49:45

I think those are so cool. I would love to have a modern one of these. Obviously, this is from... I don't even want to know what kind of BPAs and everything. I was going to ask you, you're a plastic expert. You think this thing would be safe to drink out of? I mean, safe is a relative term. I think you wouldn't die immediately. I would imagine that plastic has degraded a smidge since 1998.
00:50:14
Speaker
This thing is really nice though. I feel like if we were getting something nowadays, it'd be a little bit cheaper, but there's some serious sculpting going on here. They even did like a wash on his hair. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, it looks like really nice. Yeah, really, really nice piece. And this is the peak mankind attire because he's got the brown tights, the white dress shirt with the tie, but he's still got the black wrestling boots. You remember there? I feel like kind of like halfway through 99, he got a little bit lazy. Honestly, I started rolling with the sneakers. Sweatpants and sneakers. Yeah, I hate sweatpants and sneakers, Mick Foley.
00:50:43
Speaker
The tights and the boots mankind with the dress shirt I feel like that was the peak version of mankind so it's pretty cool again I'll have link in the show notes if you guys want to get in on it. You know if you're not trying to drop 65 bucks for a brand new one. You can go down to the similar items tab and.
00:50:59
Speaker
and find you some of these for much cheaper to add to the collection. I'm looking at a used Undertaker one for $25. Still looks like to be a pretty good shape. Some used Mancayo ones for about $30. Yeah. Those are so cool. Yeah. It'd be a fun little easy collection to add to your shelf for sure. Nice. All right, Shane, do we have listener mail this week? Of course we do.

Wyatt Six Future Impact and Main Event Speculations

00:51:26
Speaker
All right, our first question comes in from the man, Zach Hertzler. Who do you want the new White Six family to feud with? That's a good question, man. I'll go with a little bit of the edgy answer, kind of building on what we talked about earlier. I don't think this thing's got a huge shelf life. I say let's burn short and burn hot, assuming Gunther wins the championship at SummerSlam. Have them go after Gunther, dude. Fuck it. Let's put the belt on Uncle Howdy.
00:51:53
Speaker
have, you know, Bo Dallas, Bo Wyatt, whatever you wanna call him, give him the belt, dude. Let's just make, I feel like no matter, I just kinda double down what we're saying. I feel like no matter what they do, this thing's gonna have a short shelf life. So let's just go freaking balls deep on it, man, right away, dude. Let's just make it an absolute shooting star, you know, storyline in wrestling, dude. If it lasts a year, it lasts a year. But have him come in, wreck havoc, win the belt, have a little run with the belt, and then you could have fucking Cody, dude.
00:52:22
Speaker
from them just make the baby face of the cinch. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. And then let them go away, dude. I feel like if this thing has a six-month shelf life and we get some cool matches, some memorable moments, and then that's it, I think that's a win, man. I don't think that's a failure, man, even if this thing does last for now to wrestle me. If we see this whole thing get blown off at WrestleMania, I think that's a win.
00:52:45
Speaker
Yeah, I think so too. I think that another big problem, again, not trying to be negative about this because I do want it to succeed. Let me just keep repeating that. I do want it to succeed. But there's too many people, man. With the Wyatt family, I think three is a good number for a weird, creepy faction like this. Yeah, three's company, five's a crowd.
00:53:05
Speaker
Five's a crowd, dude. Five is certainly a crowd, and I feel like it could just be a little bit much. Because then you've got to find stuff for every person to do. You know what I mean? I don't know. I hope it works. We don't know what this is going to look like. Yeah. We've only seen... We haven't even heard any of these guys talk. Nothing. We literally just saw them come out. Assuming this is going to be a wrestling-based faction though, yeah. I say, fuck it. Let's give them a quality development. Why not?
00:53:36
Speaker
Johnny J.B., if you could have entrance music when you first walk into work, bedroom, whatever, which one are you choosing? I'm choosing the brood theme song. Put wifey on notice that we're about to be fanging and banging. Wow, aggressive. I'm going with my standard answer on this. You'd always have foreigner, dirty white boy.
00:53:54
Speaker
Dirty white boy. I guess, well, no, you gotta pick a wrestling entrance song. If you could pick entrance, have entrance music. So pick somebody. I'm still in Roman, dude. I'm hitting Romans, man. That's the aura, dude. The boss, man. Yeah, I think Stone Cold. I feel like I wake up in the morning, like fricking glass breaking. Stone Cold Steve Austin, dude. I can see that. You can be pretty intense, yeah. It makes sense. Jump right out of bed, glass breaks, and I'm just like going about the chores. I'm like, duh-nuh, duh-nuh, duh-nuh.
00:54:22
Speaker
Sometimes, because I definitely like I'm not an ass cracker dog person like Sheen. And sometimes it would be like 745, 815. I'm still laying in bed. She's already like walking around with like half ass kind of like breathing hard. And it's just something like, what are you doing?
00:54:38
Speaker
Like you just throwing off my whole vibe, dude, with all this energy coming in, dude. Just entering the... I'm starting the day and Sheena's already in a big way. I'm already opening cans a little fast from the jump. TNT, Tyson Niltravino, do you believe that TNA should have more representation than just Joe Hendry and Kazarian?
00:54:59
Speaker
I think less is more, man. I think we're still in the shallow end on this TNA NXT stuff. Joe Hendry is definitely the hottest guy in TNA right now, so he had to have him come over. I think that was fine. We're just the two of them, man. You probably could have squeezed in a couple more, but you still want it to be special when we're seeing this. You don't want to all of a sudden be like,
00:55:18
Speaker
You don't want to be like AEW. There's like 25 belts on the show. Yeah, and you don't want it to be to the point where you're forgetting which TNA guys were there. I feel like it's easy. Because you had Joe Henry, who had a huge interest in everything. And then you got Frankie Kazarian, who won the last two or three. He may have won the last two, I think. I can't remember. Yeah, I think it was well done.
00:55:36
Speaker
The OG fig kid, Tom Montalto, one of the fig guys, he says, do you ever do shit in your normal life imagining you're a wrestler? For example, walking down the hall of your house, do you pretend you're walking down the aisle? I don't do any of this. I'm just curious if anyone else does.
00:55:51
Speaker
I don't think I do anything where I just pretend like I'm a wrestler. Brett does that. I feel like Brett's basically living his life as a wrestler. My son Brett lives his every day as a wrestler. Everything he says to you feels like he's cutting a promo on you. I'm like, dude, I'm just mom.
00:56:08
Speaker
talking to you right now like i don't need you know full blown promo cut cut at me about what you want to eat for breakfast dude so yeah everything bret does i mean even at football camp this week i mean he's just if he does something good he's already like you know taunting the crowd and like you know telling everybody celebrating and yeah he's
00:56:27
Speaker
He is fully immersed in wrestling at the moment. Did we talk about him going to wrestling camp? Yeah. Me and Brett are going to wrestling this weekend. We're going to Memphis wrestling. Enzo is going to be there on Sunday. Next month, Brett's going to actual wrestling camp at Memphis wrestling. He's going to learn how to do some moves and stuff and then get the promo in the ring, start to make his own wrestling character. It's going to be fun. He's going to freaking love that. Sam Rosenthal, are you going to Blood and Guts?
00:56:56
Speaker
No, I wish I was, man. But unfortunately, dynamite being on a Wednesday night, we had flag football practice that night, and I'm the head coach. So I just can't get out of it, dude. If it wasn't for that, I would definitely be there. But end of the day, football, at least with the real football, I would take wrestling over real football. But with the kids, man, the football is more important.
00:57:20
Speaker
Sam also says, do you think Wyatt Six can, whoa, whoa, whoa. Do you think Wyatt Six can succeed without a main eventer? We kind of already talked about Wyatt Six a lot. I feel like Bo has the potential to be a main eventer. Yeah, he was a main eventer in NXT. He had a long ass run as NXT champ. He came up in the Vince McMahon era of the call-ups. He never really got a fair shake to show what he could do as a,
00:57:47
Speaker
There was never any mention of him ever being successful in NXT. He literally came up with that bully thing. NXT really wasn't quite NXT yet. It was really, really good, but it was still bubbling underneath the surface. Yeah, it was before the true black and brown. Dude's talented man. He's been on a little bit of size since then also.
00:58:03
Speaker
Bo Dallas is a really, really talented guy, man. We've seen just a fraction of what he can actually do. Go back and watch some early 2014, 2013 episodes of NXT and just see what this guy's capable of. Yep. Sam Rosenthal also says, how do you think Raw going to Netflix affects SmackDown or Dynamite? Any increase in ratings or the same? I don't think it's really going to have any effect on either one of them.
00:58:34
Speaker
I'd say the same for people that are watching and probably keep watching it, man. Yeah. The one thing about Netflix is you're going to get a lot more people. I feel like almost everybody has a Netflix subscription, right? Yeah. You could potentially see some people that get turned on to it from, yeah, the Netflix exclusive folks getting turned on to Raw and then finding a way to watch SmackDown. I don't think it's going to do anything for dynamite though.
00:58:56
Speaker
No, I don't think it'll do anything for dynamite, but I mean, maybe just wrestling as a whole. And it's not like Netflix is getting the whole back catalog. Cause like, that's what got us back into it, right? Cause everybody has that nostalgia for wrestling. So when with the WWE network came out, that's what got us back into it. Whereas like, you have to be ready to jump into like the modern era of raw. But I mean, this, this era of raw has been the best it's been in, in years. So, um, basically ever. So, um, I mean, it would be a good time for it to jump back in.
00:59:25
Speaker
Sam says, do you have any autographed memorabilia? Yes, we do. I have quite a bit actually. I have a triple threat pack from, you know, we talked about mankind a little earlier on the show. It's signed by Dude Love, Mankind and Cactus Jack. It's the classic Jack's Bone Crunching Action three pack. And I have a print that I had made of Seth Rollins. It's like every, it's like the evolution of Seth Rollins up into his championship run.
00:59:55
Speaker
And I had him sign it at WrestleMania 33. So Donut Glow made that for me. And then I have my Bret Hart autographed glasses that I didn't even pay for an autograph. I just paid for a photo for that meet and greet. And Bret was like, hey, do you want me to sign your shades? And I was like, hell yeah, I want you to sign my shades.
01:00:18
Speaker
Oh yeah, we got our Money in the Bank briefcase signed too. What else? Do we have any other autographed? You got your pink foams. You got Brett. Oh yeah, we got Brett to sign the pink foams. We got Brett Hart signed Funko Pop that Jordan got for us as a gift. We got a Bobby Heenan signed photo print. Photo print. What's a photo print? It's a print of a photograph. So let's do a suit of photograph and a photo print.
01:00:47
Speaker
A photograph can exist. That's a photograph, dude. Yeah, you're right. Okay. A photo print would be like if I printed out a picture on our freaking little laser printer over here. True. Okay.
01:01:03
Speaker
Yeah, I think that's it. I think that's it. And that wraps up their listener mail as well. All right. Sheena, remind the listeners where they can find you on social media.
