00:01:34
Speaker

00:01:49
Speaker
What the fuck are you on? My name is Mark and I'm playing the Human Blade singer Seth Farrow River. And by last but may no means least, it's our lore lord, the leader of legends, the lexicon of the labyrinth, the lurker, stripper, nibbler, Dungeon Master Danny.
00:02:02
Speaker
That's me. Hooray. Danny, can we, can we spend gold upgrading, Mark's internet?

Connectivity Jokes

00:02:10
Speaker
That's a throwback to quite a few years ago. And I went, I almost rage quit my life. No, not my life. That sounds awful. Rage quit the computer.
00:02:22
Speaker
I can't do anything about it though. Can I? I can buy better internet.
00:02:30
Speaker
Does an old girl have good connection right now? Well, let's go over there and see so I can stop talking. Old girl has stood on a street corner holding the orb and says... Anybody want some internet?
00:02:44
Speaker
I can give you two for one. It's a pretty good deal. LAUGHTER
00:02:49
Speaker
King's village.

Arrival at the Inn

00:02:52
Speaker
The Sparrowhawk sends a message. He's all like, I'll wait for you in the Pissed Newt, boys. The sea seems somewhat quiet, and there don't seem to be no shippy ships heading into port. Where the hell have they all gone?
00:03:04
Speaker
The party! yeah fill their pockets with all of the gold coins which are definitely theirs and not one single member and they by themselves there are no boss and ships in the port but the city seems to still be running and using a bag of holding and a newly acquired one by the jewel of the desert champions no less they transport about 48 000 gold pieces to the pissed newt which is filled with winged watch adventurers it's very very busy all is even there that's Pretty cool. Inside their secret hideout downstairs are the three leaders of the Winged Watch. Ghost Wing, Red Rook, and the Sparrow Hawk.
00:03:40
Speaker
Baal immediately spills all of the beans, and the group find out that the meeting is going to be brought forward to tomorrow, because they're the last group to return.

Spies and Delayed Meetings

00:03:49
Speaker
The Abkriska, turns out, have dirt on all of the Undyne champions. Oh no.
00:03:55
Speaker
Nyx decides to do another mind. Fuck on the Red Rook and here's, I think we found our spies. And Baal explains his involvement and the eggs and Shondralikar and Valkyraeth and all that other shit.
00:04:06
Speaker
The Abkriska remain at the anchor. Apparently Vassan has completely disappeared. The Fizzleband orcs are malfunctioning. But there is obviously the meeting tomorrow, and Sparrowhawks like, Seth, I want a word.

Vision and Plans

00:04:17
Speaker
And Ghostwing's all like, Bahl, I want a word. And Bahl and Ghostwing go and chat about all things dragony-dragony. And Ghostwing shows a vision of a green dragon, male green dragon. A patriarch dragon of Shadowmend.
00:04:34
Speaker
Oh, shit. That's Ghostwing? What the fuck is going on there? And he says that he can basically get Baal off the hook with Chondrella Carr. Tasty. Sebastian, meanwhile, tells Seth that he is terrified. And he wants the Undyne Champions to kidnap none other than Delmond Trace.
00:04:54
Speaker
Seth is on board.
00:05:01
Speaker
So

Wealth and Dreams

00:05:03
Speaker
listeners, this is going to be a bit of a chop and change, but at the very end of this episode, you'll hear ah ah stumbling our way through negotiating who buys what and when, and to save you, we took that out of the core part of this recording.
00:05:18
Speaker
So if you are interested finding how the party spend all of this money, um, go and hear us try and attempt to negotiate our way through ah both player and character ah challenges there.
00:05:33
Speaker
But in turn, I'm sure our Pite members will use and explain the items they bought as we proceed. But before all that happens,
00:05:45
Speaker
Following this meeting between the leaders of the Winged Watch and yourselves, you spend a somewhat restless night in the safety of the Pissed Newt, back in Scorch Helm once again.
00:05:56
Speaker
You awaken to the familiar hubbub of this busy, industrious and revelrous city. Last to awaken once again is Emron, caught in yet another lucid dream.
00:06:11
Speaker
walking through what we are now known now referring to as the steel nightmare. Everything plays out once again in perfect sequence.
00:06:24
Speaker
You hear Baal call up to you again, but your waking is stalled long enough for you to venture a little bit further. Aside you are your three companions, a dragonborn, a dwarf, and a human.
00:06:40
Speaker
And you stride through this great, grand city with this magical bubble, this aura protecting you from some unknown nefarious force.
00:06:54
Speaker
You walk down this ancient colonnade with this grand architecture and and these cobbled streets that doesn't really register any artistic influence that that you recognize on Eryth,
00:07:08
Speaker
somewhere innately within you, you do recognize this.
00:07:14
Speaker
There are these magical lamps and wisps that kind of light not necessarily your path, but just the city itself.
00:07:22
Speaker
But it is a literal ghost town as specters and phantoms of creatures of the past constantly phase in and out of ephemeral view.
00:07:35
Speaker
The dragonborn you're travelling with raises an arm and points to the palace. There. That's where he's supposed to be. As you march a few paces further, your heart racing and your armour feeling ever heavier, you slowly drift into wake.
00:07:55
Speaker
Dawn rises on this important day in Dralak's capital. Today you join the assembly of the winged watch and you hope that this web of questions begins to unravel itself.

City Adventures

00:08:08
Speaker
You're all back in the common room as the evening and as the the embers from the fire last evening are slowly fading out. Before you spend your morning shopping, was there anything you wish to discuss?
00:08:31
Speaker
no yeah ah's not Before we went to sleep, um because the last thing Nick said to the group was that he's been reading up on a spell to remove a curse.
00:08:46
Speaker
And as he had a spell slot available before he went to sleep, he would very much like to... Can attempt that. attempt that. You'll all have done a long rest.
00:08:56
Speaker
and So just stall off on on filling yours out then, Nix. Thank which are you very much. What are you attempting to do with your remove curse? Okay, so um after everyone's gone off into the their individual dorms, Nix would be lying there just kind of like sat back, staring up at the ceiling, just thinking about everything that's transpired of late And then he'll remember that they think that we're spies and they look at our tattoos.
00:09:30
Speaker
They see the obvious links that we have to Prego. And just that kind of itch of wanting to do something about it, having been a part of curses and packs. And finally, maybe he has the power to do something about it.
00:09:47
Speaker
We'll reach over to his book. before I say it's a book, it's, is a warlock spell. So he'd reach over to his spell book. That's given to him by his patron flick through it and find the spell removed curse.
00:10:05
Speaker
And he set it down and they'll sit up on bed and cross his legs and pull off the, his jacket to reveal his tattooed arms and the ones that, um, are inscribed by the curse.
00:10:20
Speaker
lay the book flat and starts to prepare the spell. And he does so. As always, that magical kind of ah essence starts from his horns in that purple, almost lightning-esque effect and travels down his body.
00:10:37
Speaker
And it kind of resonates this purple kind of dot on the palm of his hand, almost like the black death, until reach over to his forearm,
00:10:49
Speaker
and just press his hand against it as he completes the remove curse spell, which reads at your touch, all curses affecting one creature or object end.
00:11:01
Speaker
If the object is a cursed magic item, its curse remains, but the spell breaks its own attunement to the object. So it can be removed or discarded.
00:11:15
Speaker
You press this spell into your forearm.

Private Conversations

00:11:20
Speaker
Nothing appears to change.
00:11:26
Speaker
I'm knackered. I feel like I've used all my high-level spells. Time for sleep.
00:11:34
Speaker
That would only happen in the morning because you can't change spells until the long rest. I had it. Always had it. Oh, you always had it prepared? Yep. ah I've had it prepared for ages. Sorry, I thought you said you hadn't. not No, no, no, no.
00:11:48
Speaker
Waiting for an opportune time to use it. So I've had it in my thing, but I've got one slot remaining before I go to sleep. Would really like to use it now so that I can change spell while I'm sleeping.
00:12:02
Speaker
Or use it on your bar. So, was it, Tharik, were you doing something before the night? Yeah, well, Tharik would try and find a word with alpha.
00:12:12
Speaker
at certain points, if he if he could, based on some of the things that he's heard in that room. So if he could find a chance to have a quiet way with Alpha. Do you want him have that conversation before the the morning?
00:12:23
Speaker
It would be before the morning. Yeah, it would be before the long rest. Then it would there would have been ample moments to have that. Yep. um He'll come and find you at a quiet moment, Alpha, and he'll just sit down next to you and he'll go...
00:12:38
Speaker
I never knew that he was important person. Well, I knew he was important. I didn't know he was Sebastian Sleetgaard. Myself and McBanner, we used to, we had to meet him in a pub in Sleetgaard. It's a funny pub.
00:12:55
Speaker
Lots of people there believe that the orc has two heads, but actually it's just two orcs, you see. But anyway, I digress. I knew he was important. And I knew that we had a ranger as good as McBeneath because we we had to get him between the two kingdoms, but...
00:13:12
Speaker
You said to me that your father, he was thrown out of the last meeting for accidentally revealing his true identity, yes?
00:13:25
Speaker
That is the case. I don't recall mentioning that myself, but it is true. Well...
00:13:35
Speaker
it ah And yet in this meeting... And yet in this meeting, everybody says we're safe to recall him Sebastian, yes?
00:13:45
Speaker
I do not think it is something that you should be shouting out to every citizen. Perhaps just within the inner circle. I'm not shouting it, I'm saying it to you.
00:13:56
Speaker
Between myself and everybody in our party, yes, we are all aware. You may refer to him as Sebastian, absolutely. ah You can see at this point, Alpha, that Farrakh is just... but He's tense, and it's like he's tensing his arms, and and's he's he's clothing his fists into balls.
00:14:18
Speaker
They show you'll have perfect memory. It has been ah little, shall we say, malfunctioning as of late.
00:14:30
Speaker
I truly believe that in the Wing Watch we are trying to save the world and that people here want to do good things. And the thought of people betraying that?
00:14:41
Speaker
You can see the anger in Farrah. I would like you to do me a favor, my friend. and would very much appreciate it if you could

Memory Glitches and Vengeance

00:14:51
Speaker
scour your memory for faces that were in that last meeting that are not in this one.
00:14:59
Speaker
Very well. I can certainly see what I can remember.
00:15:06
Speaker
and I'm going to try and do a history check, I'm assuming. I can't remember all that. i would I know I wouldn't have recognized everybody that was in there anyway. From the meeting just adjourned?
00:15:19
Speaker
From the meeting that, I'm assuming they say, from the meeting when Reigns got thrown out to the meeting that has just happened with us. There were only four bodies in the room last night that outside of your group. There were ah Red Rook, Ghostwing, Sparrowhawk, and Orla.
00:15:36
Speaker
That was it. and And the six of you.
00:15:43
Speaker
Right, so, would well, the other people that were in the meeting when Reigns got thrown out then, How many of them would I recognize? Drago? There were three gnomes that you met on the road.
00:15:58
Speaker
There was Karstan and then there was Kennard, there was Orla and then there's just sort of been occasional entourages that you sort of have seen with various persons of note in the Winged Watch.
00:16:20
Speaker
um But you hadn't met many members the Winged Watch going into that first meeting anyway. No. Okay.
00:16:31
Speaker
Trying his best to recall, um
00:16:35
Speaker
it is difficult, Tharok. There were many people in there who I did not recognize. There were A small selection of gnomes that I had met previously on the road prior, who we wasn't aware that we were working for the Winged Watch at the time, but clearly they are. They have provided us great assistance.
00:16:53
Speaker
um A gentleman with a funny accent called Kennard, but very, very polite and lovely.
00:17:03
Speaker
There was um the hero known as Drago, and the hero known as Carstan as well.
00:17:13
Speaker
There were many other faces, but unfortunately I don't recognize... can't recognize any names with them.
00:17:24
Speaker
Farrock's going to look towards his own Mithril half-plate vest and he's just going to start exploring it and he's just going to say, if you wear armor that has a hole in it or has a weakness, the armor is not really armor.
00:17:40
Speaker
I want to find whoever the traitors are. And I want to fucking kill them.
00:17:47
Speaker
It seems whoever the traitors are were not in the room this evening but were in the room with you when your friend got kicked out.
00:17:56
Speaker
Potentially. There is another meeting tomorrow. Perhaps that would be a better time for me to try and gauge the information that you seek.
00:18:09
Speaker
I'm more than happy to tell you anybody who stands out or looks suspicious, based off what I can recall. Best place to start, people who were there that time your father got kicked out, and who are also there tomorrow.
00:18:25
Speaker
Keep an eye out for me.
00:18:27
Speaker
I will do. I understand your need for... revenge. It's not revenge. It's practical. We're trying to save the world.
00:18:38
Speaker
These people have to die.
00:18:41
Speaker
I see. And with that, Farak will just rise and will leave Alpha's chamber. Or leave Alpha to whatever Alpha was doing.
00:18:53
Speaker
Yeah. Alpha was he was a little bit kind of in his own world until Farak came along. And he just kind of goes back into his headspace.
00:19:07
Speaker
and Okay. So if there's nothing else, we will timey-wimey ourselves back to the present.
00:19:20
Speaker
It's the next morning.
00:19:24
Speaker
And as you all sort of begin to filter out of the common room here of the Piss Noot,
00:19:32
Speaker
there is a note for you that Gumbar is holding in the sort of pub floor.
00:19:41
Speaker
And it's in Sparrowhawk's hand, as Seth would recognize. Most of you now are used to
00:19:48
Speaker
used to that cursive, I think.
00:19:52
Speaker
It says to meet at the old church
00:20:00
Speaker
when the sun is just past its zenith.

Mysterious Notes

00:20:05
Speaker
You then proceed to go about shopping and buying bits Bits and bobs. Bits and bobs. Listeners, again, for reference, if you want to find out exactly how that went down, we streamlined it and it's at the end of the episode after the the exit music.
00:20:20
Speaker
I'll just turn to Nix on the way out and say, I'm just going to try my haggling today, Nix. Just let me do it. Let me do it. Okay. Okay. I got you. I'll tap you on the bum. Give you a little bit of guidance. I believe in you.
00:20:32
Speaker
Let's see how that goes, listener.
00:20:39
Speaker
I'm still tapping on the bum.
00:20:42
Speaker
i feel i feel so guidance guidance guidance we'll put few more in there like can you get to do it more than once anyway you'll make me lose concentration ah we've all been there you all proceed out and head to likely the grand bazaar where most of these goods can be found uh with it occasional um swinging by sort of um traders and merchants that frequent the outside of the city, just a chance that you got better deals than than than you did, but largely you left all satisfied with with your purchases.
00:21:18
Speaker
It's about two hours from that meeting point that the note suggested. And you know that in the church itself was the same church you accessed the first meeting via, and that's in the the double checking exactly where I put it.
00:21:38
Speaker
Sorry, it was a library, not a church. ah In Old Town. There's this is ah library in Old Town behind the Temple to the Eternal Ones. And that is your heading.
00:21:50
Speaker
You reconvene as a party about an hour, let's say, before this, having concluded your shopping, invested in your ships, invested in your equipment, your arms, etc.
00:22:02
Speaker
Reconvened. Lighter on the coin, but some of you heavier on the gear.
00:22:09
Speaker
What would you like to do with this final hour before you are caught?
00:22:16
Speaker
Lunch? I don't think that guidance worked too well there, Bar. No, why didn't you stop me? I just couldn't stop saying fucking I'm the champion. I'm the champion. And it just didn't fucking work, Nix.
00:22:27
Speaker
I'm sorry. ah Blame me. Next time, maybe shut up. i Yeah, I can actually do that. Can you? Oh, you can. Well, you're in charge next time.
00:22:40
Speaker
my name Sure. We'll see how that goes. I'm a celebrity here. They love me. Well.
00:22:50
Speaker
Seth would be standing awkwardly off to the side as Nithravar holds courts with four Osrind Islanders um stood around, and gesticulating wildly and pointing pointing towards the ah ah ship and telling them to... Go forth and make vessel travel through space and time. The folds of the void will not wait for everything. you must go.
00:23:15
Speaker
so And, uh, and yeah, I don't know if they listen or not, but that's, that's, that's the aim. And Seth is just like embarrassed, you like, like, uh, a dad, like a kid embarrassed at their dad's like dad dancing or someone like just off to the side, like embarrassing me like that.
00:23:32
Speaker
Nice. Uh, two humans and two, uh, dwarfs make up that, that sailing compliment and you kind of gesture for where they need to head. And that there's already a, uh, uh, representatives from the Sailmakers Guild here in Scorch Helm that are fitting the cannons that have also been ordered, so it's quite easy to identify where that ship is.
00:23:54
Speaker
Anything else you guys wish to cover, to discuss?
00:23:59
Speaker
In the hour that we've got, are we able to take a short rest to attune to any of the new things that we have? Certainly can, absolutely. And please make sure you've marked your long rests from the night.

Shopping Recap

00:24:09
Speaker
leg Yeah, Barl's going to do that. Do you want us to quickly talk about what we've got? Or is it just like a wait until the end and find out? That's true, we haven't until hopefully later on.
00:24:21
Speaker
If you could give the TLDR in less than 30 seconds per person but about what you bought. I'll do it in two. Moonsickle, Amulet for Health.
00:24:32
Speaker
Barl spent too much money and fucked up haggling. Nice. Nyx is unpopular here, so there was no haggling and Baal fucked up for him, but he got a studded level armor plus two and w ring of protection.
00:24:45
Speaker
Nice.
00:24:48
Speaker
Alpha got Amulet of Health, Ring of Protection. Paid less than Emron. Happy. Nice.
00:24:55
Speaker
Farron got a Flametongue Longsword, which he now has. So he has on his back a Flametongue Longsword and the spear, which sits nestled behind the shell. He looks like Leonardo, the Ninja Turtle, with how he's carrying his weapons.
00:25:10
Speaker
um ah he's also obviously fire up put most a lot of money towards upgrading the cannons or but installing some state-of-the-art cannons onto the ship and also as well provide 30 seconds there divisions fucking hell callum uh a cannon we never will use again because the boat won't get no um a cannoon we never will use yank the boat one get is no um Emron bought a Dwarven plate armor and a belt of hill drawing strength.
00:25:40
Speaker
I also bought six potions of healing and cause people were being sassy. I gave one to Nix, one to myself and the other four to Seth cause fuck the other guys. Nice. Um, The reason he did that was because Seth seth fronted him 4,000 gold. Seth also fronted a load of money to me because we are we are in death, bros.
00:25:58
Speaker
And I am the squishy one and I will definitely need them. as Seth also then spent 4,000 on the retainer for 156-ish days for four members of the crew for the um Severed Compass, two humans, two dwarves, for deckhands and cannon firers and general cannon fodder.
00:26:21
Speaker
Fabulous.
00:26:24
Speaker
So you begin to meander to Old Town, retracing those steps that you took. And for Emeron and Alpha, but for the rest of the OGs as well, that you're remembering that these are the last steps you took with Reigns in these moments.
00:26:47
Speaker
though it was slightly more urgent, you have the time to spare here.
00:26:54
Speaker
You can't help but just
00:26:58
Speaker
picture that missing voice right now.
00:27:04
Speaker
Alpha's going to just pause while the memories are flooding through. He's going to turn to the group and just say there is something I wish to clarify.
00:27:17
Speaker
I know what we are doing is important, and I am in no way taking away from that mission or from the Winged Watch.
00:27:27
Speaker
But I have a personal objective with this now.
00:27:33
Speaker
I have to kill Uryon for aince.
00:27:39
Speaker
Is that like an after-the-fact or before the fact or a happenstance that happens during the fact? It is at my earliest possible convenience.
00:27:51
Speaker
I am, with Seth's permission of course, going to ask Sparrowhawk for assistance in finding and locating Urion.
00:28:01
Speaker
Probably in Shadowmend. Possibly, but if he has left once for the games then he may leave again. If he is never in Shadowmend, or not in Shadowmend, then there is opportunity and possible weakness.
00:28:15
Speaker
So just to clarify, you want to kill someone who is potentially several thousands years old, who single-handedly runs an entire country behind the scenes like a puppet master, and you want to do us, and em everyone looks to the party to try and help you kill him?
00:28:31
Speaker
No. You do not have to help me. This is not your fight. This is my own personal vendetta. Ranges' life has been taken away from me far too soon, and it is something that I will not let stand, and I cannot let stand.
00:28:47
Speaker
mean, it's not going to be much of a fucking fight, Alpha, because that guy's probably absolutely minted in guards. And if I meet my end at that, then so be it. no no no no No, no, no, no, no. Look, you you're following in his footsteps, and I'm sorry, that sounds insensitive, but you cannot...
00:29:06
Speaker
go gallivanting off on this vengeance mission. I understand what you're saying at your earliest and earliest convenience, but maybe we, I don't know, tie up what's going on here first.
00:29:16
Speaker
Yeah, I agree with that, Alpha. I feel like let's stay steadfast on on the mission at hand, and I'm really glad you brought it up.
00:29:28
Speaker
I feel like that's a good thing to do once we save the world. The world comes first. I cannot kill Eurion if he's died along with the world or whatever his aim or goal in all of this is. oh We still don't know.
00:29:47
Speaker
But it is something that's pressing on my mind.
00:29:50
Speaker
If an opportunity presents itself, then... Who knows? but Okay. right. right. All right. I hear this. I feel revenge. i like this. this is This is a good flavor for you. I feel we haven't seen this from you before.
00:30:05
Speaker
Time to dig deep into the layers behind it. But let's just paint a hypothetical picture out there. If you will, I've got my imagination brush going into your mind and we're at the table, this mythical final table where the conversation of what happens to Eriq takes place. We're the one where Prego's already booked his seat as the VIP.
00:30:28
Speaker
Look at our arms for that. What happens if you're at that table? And all your I am older that. And Urien, being the all-seeing, all-knowing person that he is, is also at that table. Like, surely you can't yeet the table and go for him, right?
00:30:53
Speaker
Right?
00:30:56
Speaker
I promise nothing, Nyx. Okay. Upon sight of Urien, I cannot guarantee what my actions will be. Okay, so so in your private time, or if you ever want to talk about it and have ah have a beer, we could do the spin the bottle thing. You know, you love that.
00:31:14
Speaker
ah Maybe it's worth weighing up Erith Personal Vendetta. I'm not telling you what you want to go for. I'm just saying, think this through because revenge does tend to lean heavy in wrong choice. Trust me, I've made loads.
00:31:30
Speaker
And so because I've made loads, I'm definitely and not in a place to tell you what to do. I am just using my experience and ah pontificating that towards you.
00:31:44
Speaker
i say As a, hey, maybe this is worthwhile thinking about some more. And we and we saw what a personal agenda did for Reigns. He had a personal agenda when he left and that got him killed meaninglessly.
00:32:00
Speaker
Yeah. And I feel there needs to be some meaning to it. You not dying life would have meaning to it as well. Don't forget, like, Reigns fucking loved you.
00:32:12
Speaker
And if you go on this vendetta and end up dying because of it, I would say that's directly against what Reigns would have done and wanted for you.
00:32:24
Speaker
It probably also means the rest of us are also dead as well. As I said, you do not have to follow. We're all kind of linked. It's my own path. alpha May I speak as an outsider?
00:32:34
Speaker
but Just bear with me, Therak, one second. You, Alpha, are arguably the descendant of Rhaenz. Is that right? Yeah, that too.
00:32:48
Speaker
Interesting perspective. He lives on through you, through both of you, through Emron and Rhaenz. They created you. You are their creation. That is what children are. That's what spawn are, isn't it He's a part of you.
00:33:03
Speaker
If you throw yourself away, you're throwing him away too.
00:33:08
Speaker
I'm really glad you broached it, but really think about it. Think it through and really, really think about what Reigns would have wanted you to do. Because if that's what you're trying to find, that that kind of guiding star, that true north, ah try and find his voice.
00:33:24
Speaker
Plus, don't forget that but some of us are still bound to Seth. We only protected him from Reigns' death, not anybody else's death. So technically, if the chosen whoever of us dies, which is yourself, me, or Nick, two of us, if two of us die, oh you know two of us could die and that will also kill off Seth.
00:33:47
Speaker
So just just worth remembering that as well. or very nice Does that mean we die as well? No, because I don't think it works that way. It's a bit cloudy in my mind, to be honest. We've made so many deals as of late. I'm not entirely sure whom is tied to whom.
00:34:03
Speaker
The circle of death is most confusing at this point. But don't add to it, Alpha, is what we're trying to say. i would also like to just add at this point, as I was saying from the outside, we have a very simple saying. Those of us who are up but are from the sands of Dralak and from the Orc tribes there,
00:34:21
Speaker
Every parent finds meaning in their children's life. It is just a natural way of the world. His life was not meaningless, Alpha, because you are here.
00:34:31
Speaker
I am very well aware that with the grand scheme of things that are currently happening in the world, i or rather the princess, might have some larger part to play.
00:34:44
Speaker
I owe it to the princess to the part. is a second part. Allow me to prevent you the second part, Alpha. I spoke to you last night about the difference between revenge and survival.
00:34:55
Speaker
We now find ourselves in a position where once again we must consider the difference between revenge and survival. And he's going to come close at this point. We had dossiers on you, those before we were sent into the games.
00:35:05
Speaker
That told us basically the key points that we needed to know about you. What it told us about your own card now is that Emron... and even range, were disposable. They were hunted, but they were hunted to die.
00:35:17
Speaker
Euron wanted you. Then I have advantage. Which means if we kill Euron before this thing is over, it will be because we have to stop him from taking you. It's about survival.
00:35:29
Speaker
Once this is done, I will join you. Once it moves beyond survival, I will join you myself if it becomes a matter of revenge. I would love nothing more than to write another tale where we go and kill that grand old fuck.
00:35:42
Speaker
But as these guys have said, right now, it's survival. It's a big survival. It's Ereth. And if killing him is a part of that, then of course it will happen before all of this is done. But if it's not, it has to wait.
00:35:55
Speaker
And Alpha, if you wait, I promise you, my sword will go with you.
00:36:02
Speaker
And just if the opportunity comes up beforehand, like we get in a fight, he's in the way. Oh, please let me burn him with whatever the fuck you shoot out of that cool lightning thing. Or maybe if your little kind of cannon thing comes back, trust me, the bitch will be burnt.
00:36:20
Speaker
Let's not forget the whole point of what we're doing, right? It's to save Aerith. People have already died. to get us to this point, right or wrong, that they've died.
00:36:31
Speaker
And that can't be for nothing. It's all death and it's all shit. But saving Aerith, everything else, a Alpha, I'd love to go sailing with you on a great epic quest.
00:36:45
Speaker
And like Tharok says, we can write about it. We can write songs about it. But just try not to do anything stupid. ah until because you are probably the key to this whole thing as, as we all keep finding out.
00:36:59
Speaker
And it's just about maintaining what's gotten you to this point. Just a little bit longer. Reminisce on this. Just think about it.
00:37:13
Speaker
My priority at the moment, it's still to the princess.
00:37:19
Speaker
She mentioned uh, in conversation that she didn't consent to being reincarnated within my own being.
00:37:35
Speaker
I believe it is not a positive fate for her. Therefore, i at the moment, I still believe I owe it to her to protect her, see this through to the end, in whatever manner it may be.
00:37:48
Speaker
I am just pre-warning, explaining, I i don't know. There is a rage and a turmoil building inside me that I cannot explain about Erion.
00:38:01
Speaker
And should an opportunity present itself, I don't know what I will do. I don't know how I will act. For the first time, it is unpredictable. I can explain it for you. Don't worry. that The rage you feel inside is revenge. He killed your father and you want to kill him. It's perfectly natural. What you are feeling is natural.
00:38:19
Speaker
However... Not to me. You have to... it's's it's Okay, it's not natural to you. I understand that. But think about this logically. You are... All I know from all the notes that I saw from the Winged Watch when I went into those games was that I was meant to die to keep you alive.
00:38:36
Speaker
Emron made a very good point when he said to me that if I'm dead, I can't keep you alive. The same point goes here. You're called the Undying Champions for the reason, right? that That's the name of this this group that you call yourselves, right?
00:38:47
Speaker
You cannot die. You cannot do what you want to do from beyond the grave. Whatever Ranges' part in this is what, it is now done and only lives on through you. If you die, whatever Ranges' part was, whatever Ranges died for, is gone.
00:39:05
Speaker
You can't let that die. You have to survive. Whatever your part is in Aerith, if that doesn't motivate you, fine. You are the part of Reigns' story that keeps him alive. Let that motivate you more than revenge.
00:39:25
Speaker
Yeah, that's right. He got you. Words. Well done. Well, while you're pondering that... The quieter members of the group or quieter members of this conversation, Seth, Emron, Baal and Nix.
00:39:42
Speaker
You've noticed something over the morning. You didn't really notice it coming in last night because it was late and you were straight

Crime and Absence of Authority

00:39:47
Speaker
into business. But over the course of the morning, as you've been walking around the capital, you note the lack of a Kriskra.
00:39:55
Speaker
You note the fizzle bang orcs. are not in the city at all, and no one is wearing orange armbands anymore. You saw no fleet of ships as you came in.
00:40:09
Speaker
There is no one guarding the city. And as you were moving around the Grand Bazaar,
00:40:17
Speaker
gangs were clustered. Criminal activity was a bit more aggressive.
00:40:29
Speaker
You get the sense that moving as a party of six and with Biles' reputation, you you you were kind of i'm left to your own devices, but you were sort of certainly seeing bullying, shaking, like shakedowns happening, rackets protection rackets being run like like a gang culture was slowly re-existing here.
00:41:02
Speaker
And as you look around here in Old Town, again, that that same lack of authority remains.
00:41:12
Speaker
It just raises hairs for a couple of you.
00:41:17
Speaker
You move past the Temple of the Eternal Ones and see that abandoned library again.
00:41:26
Speaker
And just as you're heading down the alley towards it,
00:41:32
Speaker
You hear someone clearing their throat behind you.
00:41:38
Speaker
Got some herbs for that.
00:41:45
Speaker
Do you turn? you need to continue on? Oh, I turn, as I said. Yeah, definitely.
00:41:52
Speaker
You see beggar.
00:41:57
Speaker
a beggar and a slave, manacled, chained, wearing rags, propped against a wall, slowly kind of stumbling, leaning into it like they've got barely any energy coming towards the group, a hand stretched out, moving almost zombie-like, but no sign of sort of um ah death ah immediately upon them.
00:42:26
Speaker
And this... this This drow is just kind of edging ever closer towards you. It looks very weak and very feeble. So the drow's the beggar. Which one's the slave?
00:42:40
Speaker
Same. It's all one. Oh, sorry. So is he chained or does he have slave brands? How do we know he's a slave? What identifies him as a slave? So they have collars. They have collars.
00:42:51
Speaker
Right. Okay. um This is a particularly malnourished, mistreated one by the looks of it.
00:43:01
Speaker
It's just slowly approaching towards you. Do you need help?
00:43:12
Speaker
Come closer, child.
00:43:18
Speaker
No, no, fell for this one before. i'll get it I'll get a little bit closer to him, but like like we're talking like arm's length. like he like He's at arm's length. Okay. Emron, move out. I'm going to burn him. It's a fucking trick. No, no, no, no. See what happens?
00:43:33
Speaker
Seth's going to be stood just off his shoulder with a hand on his scimitar, off Emron's shoulder with eyes over the top. Any aggressive movement, he's cutting his fucking head off. Cutting in the drow's head off, not Emron's.
00:43:46
Speaker
but that that The drow just falls to his knee, the hand's still outstretched,
00:43:52
Speaker
and just says, Water. Water. Everyone gets out the water skin and puts in his hand. And it snatches at it with like a ferocity and rips the lid off it and just guzzles.
00:44:08
Speaker
And it's kind of really messy guzzle, like um hasn't drunk in days. The water is sort of falling to the side, barely has end energy to swallow. us So it's like coughing parts back up again. But it's take it easy desperate to inhale this almost.
00:44:22
Speaker
Thank you.
00:44:27
Speaker
I have a message for you. Okay.
00:44:34
Speaker
My master
00:44:38
Speaker
asks if you wish his presence or not. And who who is your master?
00:44:50
Speaker
Fucking Prager, innit? And it just gives you a knowing look, direct eye contact, and seems to drop the facade for a split second. And there is just this grin that isn't organic for this creature to have done. like it is It has magically appeared and then it kind of like snaps out like it was possessed for a second.
00:45:11
Speaker
And then it just falls back weak again.
00:45:16
Speaker
Was it a pray-go-grin? Oh, unmistakably. Okay, so you can tell your master that, unfortunately, his deal is to come along when it meets the final talk.
00:45:27
Speaker
This isn't the final talk. He's already listening in, so he can go fuck himself.
00:45:34
Speaker
Preferably, literally, fuck himself. Probably something he can do. Make a clone of himself. Probably something he does. Very it well. Should you require his assistance?
00:45:47
Speaker
You need only ask. Okay. um Here's five gold pieces for you. Get yourself some more water. And he leaps at this like it's ah like it's ah a small fortune and just kind of looks around up each alley to see if anyone else saw you that you did that exchange and just very weakly just looks up you again at no and nods and You want to take off the slave collar?
00:46:17
Speaker
hit the drow turns to you again and that possessed smile just reappears for a split second and the drow comes back it reaches to a wall to prop itself
00:46:33
Speaker
I am indebted alas I cannot Okay, well, don't worry. you know When Prager screws over, we'll we'll sort that out. Don't worry.
00:46:48
Speaker
My master says he's here to help. Okay. Don't trust him as far as I can throw him.
00:46:56
Speaker
Very well. Thank you. No, thank you. Sorry you're bound to a cunt.
00:47:10
Speaker
And he slowly stumbles back towards the main road in front of the temple. Everyone turns to Baal. You see, it wasn't a trap that much. You were in the way.
00:47:22
Speaker
i I've got this really cool fucking whip that I've not properly used. I've used it a bit. I could have just burnt the fucker up. I mean, surely Nyx can tell us about I was going to say, I've still got the burn marks. You're fine.
00:47:33
Speaker
you're fine ah Yeah, but the point is, it's not his fault that he's serving a cunt. What cunt is he serving? Prego. Prego. Ah, I should have burnt him.
00:47:46
Speaker
That's not his fault, though. It's like, you might as well burn one of us, then. I guess we are serving Prego. Yes, unfortunately.
00:47:57
Speaker
Who the fuck is Prego? You'll find out. We have definitely, no, you were in the meeting last night. We definitely talked about who Prager was. We spent a long time talking about he's a twat. It's a devil that's got his way to show. Yes, you said he's a twat. That's as far as my knowledge goes. We also said he was the brother of the other demon who leads the baby fish. We told this to Sparrowalk and that lot. You were literally in the room as we explained it.
00:48:21
Speaker
Yes, you told me he was a twat and he has a big famous brother and he said that that thats is all I know. Is is that did is that the the short, that's what I need to That's all you need to know right now. youre you you he's a devil He's a devil, brother of Tolkienon.
00:48:32
Speaker
The only reason he's still on this plane is because he's bound to people on this plane. That's us. If he's not here, Tolkienon comes here and the world gets fucked. So, so, he's a twat devil with a big brother who is somehow connected to all of you and he's a bit of a cunt.
00:48:47
Speaker
That's a good summary. but Should we go to the meeting? Very good. I that's a good idea. Okay, I understand now. And he'll just put the blades back. Just go. Just go and try and piss him off until we can actually kill him, because last time we did that, Alfinly died.
00:49:01
Speaker
We're undying now. I've asked enough questions as it is. I will pick that one up in a different time.
00:49:09
Speaker
And you head towards the library, and again, it's a jar. Let's go. And as you step in, and there's that sort of crossroad of options, you know to take that right turn. And as you turn into that right chamber, you just see propped on a desk, Sparrowhawk looking up at all of you.
00:49:29
Speaker
Glad you made it. We had nothing back to do, let's be honest. Seth will salute.
00:49:37
Speaker
bit retail therapy. and Sorry. Look, um...
00:49:45
Speaker
I need to ask a favour, I think. I thought you were about to say, um look, they don't want you in there because you can all, you know. but We need you in there. Is this another favour from the Delmontrace thing?
00:49:58
Speaker
Please. And he just sort of had that. Gives a really sharp look around that the room. I think we remembered the last name, by the way. We haven't told you. We haven't seen you since.
00:50:09
Speaker
Of. Oh. Retcon that. Sorry. Sorry.
00:50:16
Speaker
I wouldn't know about Delmontre's. I'm getting my stories messed up. and i Sorry, I forgot to mention that if Seth would have written it and passed that message on, he's excited about that plan.
00:50:28
Speaker
So he would have passed that on. Okay. wouldn't have said out loud if it was past either note. like Is that to all of us or just Nick's? Did you tell all of us this? It was it would have been to everyone who written it and said, this is what we're doing. yeah This is what he's um the task to do because it's ah it's a baddie.
00:50:47
Speaker
And for Seth, that's a good as the goodies versus the baddies. That's clear as... crystal for him and he loves it. So he's pushing, he's pushed hard on that. Sorry. It was the night before i forgot that I didn't mention that.
00:50:58
Speaker
That's what we know. That's okay. And, and I thought that we, it was said over the table. So break on everything I said, I mean, was also saying like, by the way, we, we, we worked out what the 13th name was alpha remembered.
00:51:13
Speaker
We'll, we'll take that when we have our records.
00:51:18
Speaker
It was definitely mentioned in an episode. Callum, don't stand going, what are you talking about? It was definitely mentioned. Callum, you said. It wasn't mentioned at because I need to make a history check to remember. And I've not done a history check to remember the name. thought you did because you said. We talked about it and we said, I've got the 13th name. I'm sure point in the episode where Callum goes, oh, yes, I remembered what the name was.
00:51:34
Speaker
No. Didn't you? I'm sure you've... Listen, if you can just t tweet whichever one of these is wrong, mercilessly, about them being wrong. I'm really hoping it's me. I'm i'm saying it with such confidence. Well, I always have a little bit of doubt on my own memory. haven't got a good track record, mate, when it comes to these things, let's be honest.
00:51:51
Speaker
Hey, look, I was right about the names. I thought there was definitely thing where you'd mention it in character. i'm very I'm fairly certain that I have not mentioned anything about remembering the 13th name yet because an opportunity has not come up to discuss the 13th name since we had the first list. Any drinks around Sparrowhawk?
00:52:08
Speaker
No, not yet. Look, and he kind of continues to move feebly. If you recall, he was injured for some time and wounds are healing slowly. I've dismissed my guards.
00:52:29
Speaker
For the next few days,
00:52:33
Speaker
I'm traveling with you.
00:52:39
Speaker
Whatever the outcome of this meeting.
00:52:44
Speaker
okay Okay. My circle of trust is small.
00:52:49
Speaker
I am not seeking your permission.
00:52:55
Speaker
I'm coming with you.
00:52:58
Speaker
Seth nods.
00:53:02
Speaker
We have a track record of getting into really shitty situations. But almost at 100% survival. That's right. We are undying.
00:53:16
Speaker
Be that as it may, you're the only people I trust. And I can't fight. ah To be 100% clear, you know that we're being watched as well, right?
00:53:32
Speaker
I know Seth wouldn't be journeying with you
00:53:38
Speaker
if he couldn't trust you. And that's enough for me. Savvy.
00:53:45
Speaker
Anything you want to say, Seth? As Nick links his mind to yours.
00:53:53
Speaker
You just hear the kind of the static and you see Seth just slightly shake his head. He doesn't say anything. He's overcome with emotion to have you on board and says, welcome to the Undying Champions.
00:54:09
Speaker
Thank you. It will be good to have you back on the road. Are you good? Sorry, you go. You go. Seth would shrug a little bit at that comment and then nod his head and like, yeah, go on then. I did say that. Why not?
00:54:22
Speaker
Farak will then go, it will be good to share the road with you again, Sparrowhawk.
00:54:28
Speaker
I need you to keep that title for the next few hours.
00:54:33
Speaker
I understand. I need all of you to make sure you use that name only. Do you understand? Seth Anderson.
00:54:47
Speaker
Thank you. And say nothing of the Delmontrace thing either until we reveal it. We're taking things slow, methodically, and We are watching everyone.
00:55:00
Speaker
See, sometimes, Barl, it pays to do that.
00:55:05
Speaker
What did I do? Fuck, I can't remember. What did do? Take things slow. Pathetically. No, it's 100% or nothing, Nix. You know this. We'll talk about this later.
00:55:17
Speaker
Okay, fine. I'm doubling my record. If you're ready.
00:55:25
Speaker
Please, just stay vigilant. spec Expect the unexpected, maybe.
00:55:37
Speaker
Seth will stiffen at that, and his hand will return to his ah scimitar, just resting there now, but in a more ready position as as the he follows Spiralhawk.
00:55:50
Speaker
We've never seen the true number of our organization in one place.
00:55:56
Speaker
And the enemy moves in all planes and all the shadows.
00:56:03
Speaker
Follow me.

Kingdom Threats and Meetings

00:56:06
Speaker
As Parahawk proceeds down to the same chamber, the same bookcase alcove, the same tunnel, the same sewer, into this door. And again, you're just filled with anxiety about what you're about to discuss, but
00:56:24
Speaker
The last time you stood shoulder to shoulder with reins.
00:56:30
Speaker
He puts a hand on the door. And Sparrowhawk just says, Bellum Draconis. Motherfucker!
00:56:42
Speaker
and And the door opens. And as you step in, it looks nothing like the chamber it was before.
00:56:51
Speaker
It's now turned into almost a parliament, this this long ah ah sort of oval-like structure with tiered seating. And you step in and there, the the room doesn't go silent, but it just, there is a hubbub and then there is a lull and things are taken down to a bit of a whisper once you all sort of step about 40, 50 feet into the room.
00:57:15
Speaker
There's different clusters of people. ah There are no banners here. There are all different creeds, cultures, and races that are represented. And you're hearing accents as you move through. You're hearing accents from the east, accents from the north, from the south, more local accents to hear.
00:57:35
Speaker
Alpha for you and Emron, you're hearing Shadom Indian accents again. You're hearing Dashkall Rai accents again. ah Seth, you're hearing Empire Hentersian accents again.
00:57:51
Speaker
And you move through. You spy on the far end of this this inner ring. So it's a picture like this, i four cascading tiers that go down to this smaller um sort of playing area, like almost like an in-the-round amphitheater, if you will.
00:58:06
Speaker
And there is this podium where Red Rook has a series different ledgers and a big old table with all of this just different parchment. She's sort of methodically um sorting the papers as though to deliver a speech.
00:58:18
Speaker
Ghostwing is kind of networking a little bit, working the room and and um talking to individuals. You see three gnomes keeping very much to themselves, sat a few metres away from a bard that's strumming, a very glorious-looking bard, a castan, finbin, valhorn, strumming a light tune on a lute just to kind of pierce the silence here.
00:58:43
Speaker
You're very much beneath the city, and there is this sort of compact heat ah and in in this space. You haven't got the smells of the sewers, but you're definitely adjacent to that that sort of thing.
00:58:55
Speaker
You usher to find seats and you're led really by Sparrowhawk here who doesn't want to leave your side so much, but there is there is space in the sort of lower tier and there are dots in the second and third tier and there is plenty of room at the top tier of this.
00:59:15
Speaker
You count maybe 800 heads in this room, all armed with a range of martial and magical abilities.
00:59:27
Speaker
Those who hold pocket knives, to those who wield great axes, to those who command steeds and and creatures of of control, those who have demonic visible demonic companions, to people who look like lowly beggars also.
00:59:49
Speaker
Where do you position yourself in this room or more so, where do you position yourself with Sparrowhawk's anxiety in mind? Do you stay close to the ground near the leaders?
01:00:00
Speaker
Do you place yourself in the mid tier in one of the rings or place yourself up in the gods as it were?
01:00:13
Speaker
What would Seth do? No fucking clue, man. ah Seth would be looking at at ah at Sparrowhawk ah to kind of take his nudge from where he ends up kind of going. I imagine he's he's entered first anyway.
01:00:29
Speaker
and Seth would be just kind of eyeballing, singular, eyeballing him, waiting for him to make the decision and make the step. um Unless anyone moves in front, in which case then Seth will follow them.
01:00:46
Speaker
um Farrakh, as he comes in the room, will close his eyes. He will fill and he he will feel very, very unsafe in in a place this large where the traitors to the wing watch might be.
01:01:00
Speaker
What he will do is he'll shut his eyes and he'll channel a rage through him. and he'd like I'd like to make a perception check, please, just to just to look around for the for places where if someone was to try and spring a crossbow bolt at Sparrowhawk, where perhaps any form of nearest a pathway to an exit might be, he's basically doing a bodyguard check for where he can best keep Sparrowhawk safe.
01:01:26
Speaker
Sure. About a dozen very perceptive individuals from different points in this room see you enter this frenzy-like trance. It's not a frenzy. It's very calm. Sparrowhawk doesn't channel his rage into the congressional waves. It's just a calm...
01:01:41
Speaker
calmness it's it's almost like a meditation
01:01:45
Speaker
there are a number of eyes that are perceptive enough to see what you're doing and you notice some bows already kind of not cocked but just in hand and you scan this room to make this check for me then but you you do know that people are attentive to your state of mind right or state of body right now tharok you have noticed that shift not many but a few 20 not natural.
01:02:13
Speaker
There are about 800 possibilities in this room of someone shooting any member of the Winged Watch, any leader of the Winged Watch at any given point. This is definitely a weapons-free zone, no, weapons-inclusive zone.
01:02:27
Speaker
And though you have entered in sort of a westerly door, there are about 12 doors at different points in this this room. lots of entrances, lots of exits, but it all kind of is focused towards this, this, this stage, if you will.
01:02:48
Speaker
Nix.
01:02:51
Speaker
There's a focal point. I assume in this room, like there was last time where the leaders of the group are going to stand and speak to everyone. Yeah. There's like a raised podium and, uh, uh, a big board table with papers on it.
01:03:04
Speaker
That seems to be the only thing in the center of the room. Uh,
01:03:09
Speaker
Nix isn't going to wait for the group on this one. If the group follows, that's cool. If the group doesn't, no worries. He wants to get himself in a position to see what's going on.
01:03:22
Speaker
So he wants to get as close to that desk without being on the podium as possible. as possible So he's just going to kind of slide his way through the throes of people until he gets himself in a ah damn near front on um to the podium.
01:03:38
Speaker
Yeah. You went in with Sparrowhawk, so kind of just like staying over his shoulder as he like moves to that kind of feels natural anyway. um That's Nyx's whole thing. He just wants be as close.
01:03:51
Speaker
so Seth, I imagine you're pretty much adjacent to that moment, so you can keep clear point of view on him. Yeah, yeah Callum? Yeah, that's right. Sorry, Alpha.
01:04:01
Speaker
Alpha's going to do a quick glance, and just for your record, I'm going to cast Comprehend Languages on myself, um which is going to last an hour, and because it's changed slightly for certain things, I now understand the literal meaning of any language that I either hear or see signed out.
01:04:18
Speaker
So obviously, if there's ah less than commonly used language and people are actually using sign language kind of communicate between each other, i will understand what is actually being said.
01:04:29
Speaker
Great. Fantastic.
01:04:32
Speaker
I like that. Callum ah yeah or Alpha, do you give anything? because you like I assume you're casting this spell, so you're doing it verbally, yeah?
01:04:46
Speaker
I'm going to Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just... um It's verbal. Yeah, it's semantic as well. Okay, cool. yeah on thisman My ears would prick up on what you're saying because I share that spell.
01:04:58
Speaker
ah But instead of casting it myself, I'm going to link my mind to yours and just go, hey, good idea. have that too. But rather than me just burn through my Arcanic abilities, if you pick up anything interesting, could you just... I'm going to keep this connection up.
01:05:14
Speaker
And if you translate something that... It's pretty interesting. Could you let us know? We're just in your head back. Yeah, sure.
01:05:26
Speaker
Sweet. So while that exchange is going on, a couple of things happen. and Everyone, as you kind of make yourself visible walking in, ah gnome beelines for you.
01:05:40
Speaker
and just doesn't quite get close enough to like embrace or anything, but just sort of straight up in your face says, everyone, Drago.
01:05:52
Speaker
It's good to see you. ah I've got something for you. I don't know how works, but it's for you. ah Oh, oh, oh, okay, fair. Thanks.
01:06:05
Speaker
And he just holds out this stone.
01:06:11
Speaker
I take the stone. Where'd you get it?
01:06:16
Speaker
Borrowing it. But...
01:06:21
Speaker
We're going to need to stay in touch. Oh, it's an ascending stone. I think so. ah Magic, whatever. Yeah. yeah yeah yeah Okay. um Okay.
01:06:33
Speaker
ah Just so you know, ah we we did find... what remained of McBenner. I think Tharok had some stuff for you from McBenner. There was a, there was a will that I think in the will, it mentioned that McBenner wants to give them stuff to you just so you know, to let you know.
01:06:54
Speaker
Fuck. Sorry. Fuck. well
01:07:04
Speaker
He's with,
01:07:07
Speaker
He's with someone I trust now, I suppose. Ah, fuck.
01:07:16
Speaker
sarah far Farok's heard that he'll come over and without saying anything will just offer out, take the chest out of his... ass? Is he pulling a a chest from his ass.
01:07:29
Speaker
keep say pull check is It's like a jewel.
01:07:35
Speaker
but so channel rage yeah It's a small chest. jewel butteroo tirow He'll take that out of his keep safe. out his Out of his bag and he won't.
01:07:47
Speaker
He'll just say I know him. He's a good man. I'm sorry for your loss. who And yours. Thank you. over and nod. and That's it. Fuck.
01:08:03
Speaker
Look.
01:08:05
Speaker
We can't talk about what we're doing next, but
01:08:12
Speaker
just keep me posted, okay? Yep. I have more of our dream. I imagine you've got places to be. I had more of our dream, by the way. I don't know whether you had some as well.
01:08:24
Speaker
No.
01:08:28
Speaker
I've not had any more.
01:08:31
Speaker
Okay. Well, yeah. Maybe we should find another time to chat about it.
01:08:38
Speaker
After the meeting. Yeah, more talk.
01:08:42
Speaker
And he just sort of nods and goes back to the other gnomes. And as he's walking back, Baal, I imagine you're you're kind of in this cluster too. You just see a small wave of the hand from the the female gnome back in your direction.
01:08:58
Speaker
Yeah, Baal will obviously wave back. um And then he'll kind of look at her and kind of tap his temple and kind of have a questioning kind of gesture with his hand.
01:09:12
Speaker
Meanwhile, making his way towards Sparrowhawk's kind of shoulder as well. His intention, um similar to Nick's, is to basically be as close as possible. He's got his shield...
01:09:23
Speaker
out and with him and quipped and he's relatively perceptive um with that. He's just going to have his eyes on a swivel, but just in the meantime, obviously he'll kind of see her, he'll wave, acknowledge her and then tap his temple.
01:09:36
Speaker
And as that kind of happens, your perception, and that moment you hear Karsthan's lute stop and there is a change in the lighting and it goes from this sort of ambient warm light to this very dark blue
01:09:55
Speaker
and then kind of moves to this colder light.
01:10:00
Speaker
Ghostwing just raises his voice magically through a thaumaturgy, if anyone's tracking, and just says, be seated.
01:10:12
Speaker
now call to order the inaugural meeting of the full complement of the winged watch. 794 of you
01:10:21
Speaker
seven hundred and ninety four of you have traveled through
01:10:28
Speaker
sands, seas, mountains, skies, and more to be here at risk to your own lives and your own safety.
01:10:43
Speaker
But Aerith stands on a precipice.
01:10:49
Speaker
You are all here.
01:10:54
Speaker
to find the truth, to preserve
01:11:05
Speaker
our kingdoms, and to find out what great dangers await us.
01:11:23
Speaker
I'll start with the headlines. Then we'll hear a report from each kingdom.
01:11:30
Speaker
After which, there are a number of matters to discuss. There'll be an open forum for questions. And then I shall reveal our next steps.
01:11:44
Speaker
The headlines.
01:11:48
Speaker
But now hopefully most of you have heard that the lost verse of the prophecy of the 13th kingdom has been found.
01:11:58
Speaker
But if not,
01:12:02
Speaker
he cedes the stage for a moment and Carstan performs it all with a bit more of a musical flair from before and and really taps into the acoustics of the space a bit better in Nun.
01:12:15
Speaker
You hear every word of it again.
01:12:22
Speaker
Lights return. Castan takes a bow to not much applause, but nodding. Nix would be applauding. Nix would be making noise.
01:12:34
Speaker
There is a bit of a clap and you kind of make ah make a make a performance or persuasion your your choice there. Both the same.
01:12:46
Speaker
ah That's a decent five.
01:12:50
Speaker
You raise maybe another 15 people to clap that weren't clapping from just short of 800. And Kastan kind of gives you a wink of appreciation as he goes to take a seat next to the gnomes.
01:13:08
Speaker
The next headline. The object in the sky and the creatures of metal and the 12 anchors coming out.
01:13:19
Speaker
to our 12 kingdoms.
01:13:23
Speaker
This has a name now.
01:13:27
Speaker
We heard it being Kuret, at least by Deep Khrisgru, if not by others as the shtiel nightmare.
01:13:40
Speaker
Then there is the devil army of Tol Kalon.
01:13:48
Speaker
Then the Kriskra presence, erith wide, in all of our kingdoms.
01:14:01
Speaker
The dragons, an event we have learned about through two of our reports called the alignment in 56 days time.
01:14:17
Speaker
And finally,
01:14:23
Speaker
In a number of kingdoms, a small number, leaders are disappearing.
01:14:32
Speaker
All of these we will discuss. Those are the headlines.
01:14:39
Speaker
I'll take a brief pause now. As the Red Rook will read the reports from each of your kingdoms that you have provided, there are more reports for Dralak, since the presence of the Steel Nightmare is heavier here.
01:14:53
Speaker
And we've sent different teams out on various recon missions to find out more. Red Rook, if you please.
01:15:04
Speaker
She stands.
01:15:11
Speaker
The Azran Islands face growing threats, both infernal and aerial, with a crisp presence minimal.
01:15:25
Speaker
Sleekguard,
01:15:29
Speaker
where the constructs from the sky are entirely dormant, non-threatening, non-aggressive. Not a single civilian nor soldier has been touched by them.
01:15:45
Speaker
The Scarlet Realm, where the devil incursions have intensified more and more each day. Military has escalated to a fever pitch, and Upchrskra are trying their best to reinforce there.
01:16:03
Speaker
Moonrise. Construct activity in the skies above has led to more and more magical defenses being deployed. The region is becoming arconically unstable.
01:16:15
Speaker
the Sanguine Lands.
01:16:21
Speaker
The Obsidianists
01:16:25
Speaker
are holding much of the devils and the flying metal objects at bay.
01:16:33
Speaker
Some say even Rothhorksplitter himself is on the battlefield.
01:16:39
Speaker
In East Horao, newly formed and without much military presence, The Ibkriska are the core power there.
01:16:50
Speaker
In West Horal, mercenaries, miners, whatever they could scramble, are trying to hold back the devils.
01:17:03
Speaker
In the Hentes Empire,
01:17:07
Speaker
assaults from both forces have fractured the command of the imperial forces.
01:17:15
Speaker
Abkhriskra are losing there.
01:17:20
Speaker
In High Jade Heart, the devil presence is insurmountable.
01:17:29
Speaker
And the Abkhriskra are trying to forge really complex relations with tribes, with goblins, with wild druids, with giants to try and defend the kingdom from entire loss of life.
01:17:45
Speaker
In Shadowment, there is zero of Kriskra presence anymore. The kingdom is entirely defended by the devils of Tolkelon,
01:18:01
Speaker
as though King Haddo himself controls them.
01:18:09
Speaker
And in Dralak, we have a bit more information to share.
01:18:20
Speaker
A few days after the anchors fell, we sent a number of strategic teams to different points in this kingdom.
01:18:31
Speaker
One group was sent to this anchor, and we learned that the anchor in Dralak is bigger than in any other kingdom. The forces coming out of the anchor are more dense than any other kingdom.
01:18:48
Speaker
about 70% of all of Krisskri forces are defending this kingdom.
01:18:59
Speaker
They're being supported by Fizzlebang's enchanted orcs, though their numbers are quickly dwindling.

Dragon Eggs Discovered

01:19:10
Speaker
We sent another group into the Krisskri garrison here in the city, which had been near emptied, where we learned quite a significant amount more about what they know.
01:19:28
Speaker
We found an egg count. The Akrskarar had been moving eggs from dragon nests all over this part of Aerith.
01:19:40
Speaker
And at the bottom of this ledger, she holds it up. 84.
01:19:45
Speaker
eighty four dragon eggs have been, quote, harvested and, quote, deposited.
01:19:56
Speaker
They also hold a record. And she gives a knowing look to the six of you while she kind of holds this next small black book up.
01:20:14
Speaker
We sent a group to investigate Beech Barrow port.
01:20:19
Speaker
the same group of individuals who competed
01:20:25
Speaker
in the Jewel of the Desert Champions. This book contains all of their movements from the past six months
01:20:38
Speaker
to their arrival in Beach Barrett Port three days ago.
01:20:45
Speaker
It includes references to someone known as the Princess.
01:20:53
Speaker
Then there is this, Delmontrese's personal diary, his calendar, which now includes a two-week stay at Goldview Castle in Sleetgaard.
01:21:06
Speaker
Then this, and she rolls out along the table, this is a skirmish map, specifically of everywhere where the Upchriscra and where soldiers of Sleetgaard wearing the insignia of King Leopold's personal guard, have fought.
01:21:30
Speaker
And reference to an event called the Alignment.
01:21:35
Speaker
That is what that group discovered in the garrison. She just sort of gives a nod to a cluster of these mercenaries in the crowd.
01:21:46
Speaker
We sent another group to Beach Barrow Port,
01:21:55
Speaker
And that's where we're going to end this week's episode of the Fellowship of the Tabletop. Oh, man. Mother trucker. Oh, okay. and Another group to Beach Barrow.
01:22:08
Speaker
Yep. I want to know who this other group was. but um Yeah, who were they? Tell them. Well, you know what? That's really good segue there because we and the listeners will have to wait a whole week until we find out.
01:22:22
Speaker
Spoiler. We're going to record that right now, but you won't be able to listen to it until next week. So with that being said, thank you for tuning in, making us a party every day week.
01:22:34
Speaker
We love you for it. We have various social media pages, but if you just Google the fellowship of the tabletop, you will find us. And if you wanted to ding our own bells individually, you could do so on our X page.
01:22:47
Speaker
It's like Power Rangers X. I'm at iRod1. Darren's at... Darren Page, 06. Pooh Bear is at... Natural 20, Will. Mark is at... Hastily Roll DM.
01:23:00
Speaker
Will is at... Fellowship NPC BC. Ah, Apple Pie Smashing Loving Boy, Carla May is at... The D20 Gamer and our VIP of the D&D Dungeon Master Danny can be found at Total Party Thrills. yeah Until, oh, remember, if you fancy listening to the shopping part of this episode, raw and uncut the BTS, as it were, stay tuned and listen to after this song. Farewell!
01:23:31
Speaker
Farewell!
01:23:46
Speaker
We're doing this. Straight in. No, not straight in. We're going to... We're doing shopping first. coincided Come on. Come on. Fucking wake up, mate. He just talked about this. This is going to be a bonus at the end of this episode. nice ah This is going to be the B-track.
01:24:01
Speaker
Everyone who wanted to buy stuff in this moment was sent a list of... ah things to beg, steal and borrow money from other people if you want to make that up. Emron, you may want to go first to sell off the spare parts.
01:24:14
Speaker
so Yeah, I was going to try and sell off the spare parts so we can actually have some more money. Remind me what you're selling, please. So we've got the Trident. Yeah. um That's that's the the plus one Trident that does shit like that.
01:24:28
Speaker
And and was was there anything else that we had left over that needed to be sold by anybody? because can't remember if there's anything else. I've got my armor that I'm going to trade in as part of my deals, Danny, but I was going to sell the Trident and put the money into the communal pot. Fuck it. It could even buy the cannons for Darren and then he's satisfied.
01:24:44
Speaker
um
01:24:46
Speaker
Did anybody else have anything in their pot that we need that wants to sell as part of the communal stuff? In their inventory. Don't think so. Not for me. Not whilst I'm still cursed by it. Take the cape.
01:24:59
Speaker
and And who took the conch and then was it Seth or Barl? Not me.
01:25:06
Speaker
Who took the water elemental conch? Seth. Fine.
01:25:12
Speaker
I think that was the only thing in our inventory that we didn't want to keep. Unless, Darren, you want to sell your axe. just a standard great axe, but sure. Is he not a great axe plus one or anything like that?
01:25:26
Speaker
Nope, just standard great axe.
01:25:30
Speaker
I've got a spear plus one because that's the... No, no, that's the special spear we we we've picked up in the thing. Your great axe is definitely a great axe plus one according to your character sheet. Fucking know your sheet, mate. yeah ah so I don't trust you, so going to check your character sheet. That's what that looked like. What's going on your house, mate? LAUGHTER
01:25:51
Speaker
That ship sailed, mate. You've activated cunt mode. That's a perfect mode. didn't activate cunt mode. ah Mark has activated cunt mode. cheap one Where are those buttons? Where are those buttons? I know them blindfolded. Just going to thank our listeners for staying to the very death of this episode.
01:26:09
Speaker
As you can hear how we have behind the scenes shopping. Yeah, it's a very organic process where it's really structured. Do you want to sell your great axe and put it into the communal fund to fund your canons?
01:26:22
Speaker
Sure. Yes, I do. Okay. Right, Danny, I'm going to try and, unless, actually, am I allowed to take Bar with me when I do this haggling? Because that way he get I get his popularity bonus. Yeah. everyone wants to take Bahl on a shop-along, Bahl will have a very busy Technically, Bahl is with Nyx at this moment in time. So if anyone gets that VIP treatment, it's Nyx.
01:26:47
Speaker
It's the one with the worst reputation in the city. so yes Everyone was given um ah indication of... how they would fare if they attempted to haggle based on local reputation.
01:26:59
Speaker
Obviously, Baal's would be the most beneficial. If you choose to use Baal's, it means that it's Baal's persuasion role, not your persuasion role. Oh, no. okay Not a good idea to you. His DC will be lower, but it's his role, not yours.
01:27:12
Speaker
I like it. Quick, cast guidance. That's what I'm going to do.
01:27:19
Speaker
ah So, ah yes, we can say you're all going as a group, but your rolling will be based off what Will provides.
01:27:30
Speaker
What's charisma bonus? Minus one. Okay, fuck it. Oh, shit, mine's really high. I'll do some haggling. Quick. You're a warlock, you should be. I've removed my great axe. I'm next. Tap my bum.
01:27:41
Speaker
Oh, you want guidance? okay Can I haggle the trident and the great axe, please? so We're do this. Things are just going to go around groping everyone's arse. Yeah, couldn't do it. Fisting. We're going to do this periodically. So we're going to say, emron you're going to attempt all the sales? Is that what you're going to do? going sell...
01:27:56
Speaker
The Trident and the Great Axe first. Great. so um If you want me to sell my Splint mail as well, but I'll keep that money aside. So your Great Axe plus one will be half plus 5%. I am dude. Which 375 is the unhaggled.
01:28:11
Speaker
free seven five is the unhaggled price of that so currently if you sold the trident and the great axe that would be 1775 and it's you doing it your dc is the highest in the party emron Because of your reputation.
01:28:32
Speaker
ah Came second. Fuck you guys. Worse than Nyx's. Oh no. I was exploding Nyx on purpose. Nyx doesn't have a reputation. Cool. Okay. I'll make persuasion then add plus four. Yeah?
01:28:43
Speaker
Yeah. yeah Yeah. You got going. Add a D4, not plus four. Yeah. well I got 21 before my... So that's a 22.
01:28:56
Speaker
Okay, you could sell both of those for 2000 gold. Cool. I'll sell those for 2000 gold. We can then use the 2000 gold to buy ship cannons.
01:29:08
Speaker
and Can I ask, Danny, before we go on, what what's the difference between the standard and the fancy ship cannons? ah So the extra damage and more accurate. I would say we wait to see what we've got left. Eight is all you can hold. that this that If you you're doing it for your ship, it can only hold four on each side. So eight would be a full complement.
01:29:28
Speaker
I'll tell you what we've got left and see can get the upgraded chip cannons for 4,200 instead of going for the standard. Fucking don't come to my door for that shit. Hey, Nick, look over there. Danny, are the standard chip cannons basic non-magical?
01:29:43
Speaker
Correct. Cool. So my my character background, I get a 20% discount on non-magical items as part of my background. Yeah, in some cities. Alright. Suck a dick. Boom.
01:29:59
Speaker
Just a D&D panic from the core.

Financial Decisions and Upgrades

01:30:02
Speaker
It's just easily overwritten by, you know, just yeah how much you're poorly regarded at the moment. i'm wrong There's no discretion, Danny. There's no discretion, DM discretion. None of that shit in this campaign. Thank you very much. all right of None of your discretion. guys If you didn't want discretion, you could leave it to AI.
01:30:18
Speaker
I could only assume the reason we've got this cash, the reason we got the sale bonus is because Emron promised to shoot himself in the face with the cannons. I'll buy them and shoot myself in the face with them. that cool Is that your selling done? So we've got 2,000 gold set aside, so we could always use that towards the upgraded canon. So, Will, we'll stay with you. Do you want to buy your pieces?
01:30:39
Speaker
And do you want Val to buy them for you? um
01:30:48
Speaker
Do you feel lucky, punk?
01:30:54
Speaker
but So I want to buy both of the pieces for me. I want to use Baal and I'm giving him guidance. Just saying. ah Do Ian first. All right, cool. Can I buy the studded leather armor plus two and the ring of protection, please?
01:31:09
Speaker
Okay. So that will come out at 7,500 gold unhaggled. So Baal. Come on, baby. Okay, roll persuasion. You got a... crew um I am fucking you right there in the shop to give you this. kind Oh, that was bad.
01:31:28
Speaker
It's an 11 because rolled one on the guidance. Wow, I could have done better. Are you charisma based? I'm not... Yeah, he is. Yeah, but I've got a yeah shit reputation.
01:31:42
Speaker
Boll just swears a lot. yeah Is it 11? Full stop.
01:31:47
Speaker
There'd be no movement on that price, I'm afraid. ah What happens if i offer to kill them?
01:31:56
Speaker
To kill? it would be an intimidation check from you. Threaten them. okay You'd immediately ruin Biles. Reputation just going further down. Yeah, that's going have a longer term effect on the reputation. I won't do that. won't do that. won't do that. I won't do that.
01:32:10
Speaker
no what If he's doing that, Alpham's shopping by himself. Okay. Seven and a half it is. Let's go. Okay. Studded leather armor plus two and ring protection should just be in your D&D Beyond Library. I've already got them, baby. Cool. Thank you. They'll need attunement, I think. some of The ring needs attunement. The armor shouldn't.
01:32:30
Speaker
The armor does not. I've had to lose the flametongue dagger attunement. I can still use it, just can't use the fire part. You'll also need to lose the bonus I give you for armor because your armor is now magical and it doesn't gain any benefit from that.
01:32:42
Speaker
So you need to remove your override from that. Thanks, baby. Great. So that's next done. How much do I get if I sell the studded lever? The regular studded lever? The regular. know ah Well, we have that 200 gold.
01:32:55
Speaker
I'm going to do that. Okay.
01:32:59
Speaker
All right. We'll jump to alpha.
01:33:02
Speaker
So, Alfie, you were sent a shopping list. What are you wanting to buy? ah If I can roll well enough on persuasion check, I want the breastplate plus one yeah and the amulet of health. Okay, which would be a combined total of 6,500 gold and currently. So let's see how you fare.
01:33:16
Speaker
Are you taking bar or are you doing this yourself? Nah, I'll do it myself. Fuck it. I've got a better persuasion than bar. Okay, you have a higher slightly higher DC. Yeah. Come come on, come on, come on.
01:33:29
Speaker
Fuck. i two I got five. I didn't work for Nick. What was the base roll? You're getting twat tax. What was your dice roll? I rolled a two. Okay, fine. over It wasn't a natural one.
01:33:44
Speaker
Six like and a half thousand is your price. don't understand you. ah Yeah, that's fine. I will pass on the breast blameless one, but I will take the amulet of health. Four thousand gold from your inventory, but add an amulet of health to your stack.
01:33:56
Speaker
Thank you very much. Baal, we'll jump to you. Yeah, baby. I'm going for that Moonsickle, baby. Plus two. um I'll try and roll it myself. Which is 5,000 gold.
01:34:08
Speaker
Yeah, he's working on his hacking skill. It's a two minus one. That's a one. Up to a plus four with the guidance. If Nix is there, so five. ever That's me. I'm just catching something. Cool.
01:34:18
Speaker
Please mute yourself.
01:34:23
Speaker
So, Barl, that is a solid no movement on that price. Yeah, no worries. fucking up tonight, man. yeah yeah You got guidance, you know that, yeah? I did, and I rolled a four on the guidance, which only brings it up to, believe it or not, five. so i felt I felt inspiration running through me and still fucked it.
01:34:43
Speaker
ah Yeah, I'm still spunking that money on it. yeah Okay, 5,000 gold. Thank you very much. and It is in your inventory. Tharok.
01:34:55
Speaker
Farok's not here right now. Please.
01:34:59
Speaker
Apologies, I went to get the book. Farok would like... The Bible? No, the D&D one. um Thanks for confirming. and I would like the... He's going to go for the flame tongue. Mm-hmm.
01:35:17
Speaker
And I think that's it based on what he's... he will He will put any money that he has left over towards more universal, um useful upgrades, including supplies. Okay.
01:35:29
Speaker
And um yeah, the main one he wants is the Flametongue. Okay. That's 5,000 gold unhaggled. You have a decent DC, just not as good as Biles. Okay. and can any Any chance I find a dwarf at selling this?
01:35:49
Speaker
me bring a race table up real quick and I'll roll on it. Have you got fetish for No, my belt gives me advantage. I don't get advantage from my Batman. It's a halfling that has this at this best price. Ignore that then.
01:36:06
Speaker
Not quite tall enough for you. Well, it's not bad. 14. Not girthy enough. Is your DC. Or hairy. So you are able to negotiate this down for... Beardy.
01:36:21
Speaker
4200 gold 800 less
01:36:28
Speaker
yeah Farrakh will take that great anything else ah no I've only got 800 left which i I can't do much with so I will keep the 800 in reserve do check you've not been swindled by Will because he took your great axe sold it and you don't have that cash i know I put that money in the communal part as Darren asked. That's where Farrakh wants it to go. it's 8,000 we have each, isn't it? Not 5,000. Yes.
01:36:54
Speaker
Oh, okay. In that case then, Farrakh will also look at... No, he won't. No, he won't. All the armor is still outpriced from that. He will just take the sword.
01:37:07
Speaker
Okay. And seth you have something to say?
01:37:13
Speaker
Yeah, I know I said I wasn't going to buy anything. But you've got lot talk to buy things? Long term. It's only because of the idea generated just now. Not right now.

Crew Hiring Debates

01:37:25
Speaker
But the journey with Tharok on the boat, etc.,
01:37:30
Speaker
ah Seth wants to use Nithravar to try and hire a crew at some point or to just force people to go on the boat to do things for us. Not in like a slave way, but like in a... It kind of sounds like that. He's going to use his 8,000 as salary and he wants people to to do things to make the boat quicker, look after it, work the cannons. We are getting cannons, yeah?
01:37:52
Speaker
Yeah, i'm go to way shape off the mine I'm going to put what's left of mine over to get the fancy ones. So that's money that it goes towards that. So Zephy, use that money. And then anything else in terms of fancy-ass gunpowder, peng cannonballs, all that good shit, new sales, just fucking upgrades for days. But that's like I know I've thrown that on you last minute, Danny, so that can be a thing that can take place later. I'm well-versed in nautical um activity.
01:38:19
Speaker
ah So there's three categories that you've got to think about what you want to hire from. Do you want pirates? Do you want military sailors? Or do you want merchants? Military sailors. Pirates.
01:38:30
Speaker
you know Okay. He can't talk. i talk for him. I use my detect thoughts. I understand what he wants. And I directly say pirates. Okay. Okay.
01:38:42
Speaker
So I'll send you a price shortly for those. i Sorry for throwing it. Darren's darren saying about the cannons. I was like, fuck yeah, let's upgrade this bitch. You're all good. So those three exist on different lines in a morale alignment grid, right? So if you collectively do anything as a group that looks like piracy or looks like anything that is was anything other than morally white, then um they will they will um dissent.
01:39:09
Speaker
Cool. Okay. ah But think about how many people you need. The boat will hold up to 12 people. So do some sums andll and I'll circle back to you on the price.
01:39:21
Speaker
ah and right four so Sorry, go ahead.
01:39:27
Speaker
All good. That is going to be, they are cheaper than pirates. ah Yes, they are 12. There's six gold pieces per day each.
01:39:37
Speaker
theres six gold pieces per day each
01:39:41
Speaker
Excellent.
01:39:45
Speaker
I'll take the lot. Four? Take the lot. Four, so that'd be a daily cost of 24 gold. 24 gold a day. So if you can keep track on that, and maybe do a lump sum of how long you'd like them initially.
01:39:59
Speaker
Does that pay for their supplies, or do we have to buy that extra? It's inclusive of their own upkeep and everything. Cool. Cool. Okay. so check Just thought, because then we've got people to fire the cannons as well as us to fight if if and if we need or whatever ah especially the military and thank you danny yeah so that's for a military military seaman military seaman uh you couldn't wait to say that could you you couldn't wait that's the whole purpose of me hiring this and spending eight grand on people is just to say military seaman no and i think it'd be useful i think it'd be useful i think be useful but the last thing i've got is you'll have one of three choices based on this random table
01:40:39
Speaker
And they're which kingdom that they originate from, that makes sense. So they'll have different bonuses, different allegiances, and different... It's blight's one of the options. Hidden things.
01:40:51
Speaker
So you have a choice of sailors from the Sanguine Lands, sailors from the Osrin Islands, or sailors from Dralak.
01:41:02
Speaker
And would Seth have the choice of this? Yeah. Would he have the three? Eger, Osrin, who's close to Sleek Guard. Okay, so you have four... sailors from the with experience in the Osrin Navy.
01:41:15
Speaker
That's a third of third of the Osrin Island population. They've been breeding like bunnies ever since. But no, yeah, that's much nice all the working men.
01:41:26
Speaker
One of them's just a very lonely man looking for his long lost dog that was punted into the sea. Throwback, man. Was that Drago? Good throwback. That was Drago. It sounds like Drago. Episode two, I think.
01:41:42
Speaker
Once I find that table, which is in a random document somewhere, it'll tell you what bonuses come from members of the Ozren Islands. But I'll put it the chat. Yeah, I'll leave that for now because that's some we're not going to use them unless we get back on the boat straight away. So I'm happy to park that and just whenever it's a convenient.
01:41:58
Speaker
like Cool. You've got them on retainer, essentially. ah Okay, Emron, what are you purchasing?

Guild Negotiations

01:42:03
Speaker
so i need So I'm gonna i'm definitely going to purchase the Dwarven Plate. But I'm going to try and sell the Splint mail that's essentially armor of resistance, but it's got two resistances rather than one, yeah to someone. I mean, if I can get a decent price for it, I'll she it to sell it to Clan Shadow Shield because they won't have a shit reputation for me.
01:42:25
Speaker
um That's a fair point. That's a fair point. But you would sell them lower because it's guildmates. You know, you make money off to You could do for reputation could do it for and profit.
01:42:37
Speaker
Yeah. would So would it be the same price, but don't I don't get any more for that? Or do get even less if youre going to give it to Clan Shadow Shield, but it would it would play in your favor, you know, with with your guild allegiance.
01:42:49
Speaker
Keep that in back pocket, because I'm probably going to tell Clan Shadow Shield where the Keltrad store is that nobody else knows about that we've discovered. Okay. So it's three and a half thousand. It's sale price. Yeah.
01:43:00
Speaker
Do you want to try and haggle that?
01:43:03
Speaker
Yes, to try and, yeah. See if get any more. Go for it. Yeah. Guidance. You aren't together.
01:43:13
Speaker
That's 15. I'm wishing him well. 15? Yes. That's 3,500. Okay, so that's 3,500. Lovely. um Okay, so I'll definitely buy the dwarven plate.
01:43:26
Speaker
yep kind Can I haggle that down? You want to haggle that too? Go for it. Yeah, of course. Haggle everything. This is initially 9,000 gold. What? 18? That's an 18? That is your DC.
01:43:37
Speaker
Cool. So you would get that down to 7,200. Bargain.
01:43:43
Speaker
seven thousand two hundred fucking Excellent. And then... and We're getting ready for a boss battle.
01:43:55
Speaker
It's like the end of the final chapter of Final Fantasy. We're getting the airship. We're getting our celestial weapons. So that is with left.
01:44:12
Speaker
i andt want to lend me some money Yeah. No.
01:44:20
Speaker
um Someone said yeah. Fuck you, Cal. um yeah Can I try and haggle down the price of the belt of hill giant strength and then see what I can borrow from mates? ah Yes, that's 8,000. So but I'm going to try and haggle the price down and then see i'm how I want to borrow.
01:44:35
Speaker
Sure. No, I was giving you a copper, mate. I saw you getting them. I'm not giving it me. yeah yeah one cup I've given you a copper, mate. How much you need? We'll see. I said 10, so it's not reduced the price at all, has it?
01:44:49
Speaker
Has not. No, thought that. So that's... How much you need? And assume I'm going to give you a snarky answer back.
01:45:00
Speaker
I'm just working out now. Okay. Whatever you need, I'm going to give you one less. I'll give you... I need in total gold. fuck off i mean, hopefully I could just share it around other people, but it's fine. If not.
01:45:18
Speaker
um What is it again? A hill giant strength? Belt of hill giant strength. For you? yeah
01:45:29
Speaker
My internet is balls. Oh, fuck.
01:45:33
Speaker
I mean, if four people want to sub me like three people to give me a thousand, one person 800, then that's fine.
01:45:40
Speaker
It entirely depends on a couple of things. I need to keep some back. i can but i could i can amount back i can so i can i can i can I can hold off.

Spending Strategies

01:45:49
Speaker
If people are willing to give me money, that's fine. need supplies as well. so so We need supplies, cannons, and crew.
01:45:54
Speaker
So we'll be prioritising that. Also, Callum's kaums bought a really cool fucking amulet that I'm like, oh shit, I want that. You want that? I fucking needed that. No, to be fair, you do need that.
01:46:07
Speaker
Danny, how much was a ring was was that ring of protection that Ian bought? That's a fair point, actually.
01:46:15
Speaker
It was. I can tell you that. The price he paid. 3,000. Just at MarketBot. 3,000 gold. 3,000 gold. So is anybody genuinely going donate some money to me or not?
01:46:30
Speaker
I was, but not three grand. ain't got that. No, I don't want all the money. How much do you need? well it depends how much everyone else gives me. about what what What's your number? And then I can tell you if I've got enough or not.
01:46:45
Speaker
ah Let me have a look. Hang on. How much is it?
01:46:50
Speaker
If four people gave me 950 gold each, I'd speak to you. That's too rich in my blood. That salesman. That's not saying a price. says says Says Ian, who's probably got bags of money on top of his 8,000. I've got the bag of holding, but I assume that's what we're dipping into for all of And your other money.
01:47:07
Speaker
How much my other money are you putting towards this? I feel like an investment. My other money is for my spells. I'm putting 4,200 gold into this.
01:47:17
Speaker
Wow. Danny, is there a second amulet of health in the city or is it like... Yep, you could find it. Could Barl try and do a persuasion roll on it to see if I can reduce the price?
01:47:31
Speaker
Can we do bulk buying instead? um Sorry. i mean i Go for hagarro guide never mind never mind are you fucking serious what the fucking what what are you doing tonight i'm getting all my shit rolls out them out now get them out now yeah that was a three minus one for a two with a guidance plus three so five overall no no movement on that price it's 4k um yes never mind then because why how much do you need i can I can technically buy it, but that would leave me enough for two revivifiers afterwards.
01:48:05
Speaker
And so in all seriousness, the reason why I'm not is I need to save my money for spells now. good Have you checked which spells you need to only once?
01:48:17
Speaker
Because obviously unless it says consume... But I assume, because I had a bag of holding that was filled with... Lots of cash. That's what we're using for this, right?
01:48:29
Speaker
everyone Yes, well you we're using the 8k plus whatever you In which case, no, I don't have it. Is that bag of holding now going to be zeroed out? We're using the 54,000 we had, which is divided by ah but the party, eight each.
01:48:41
Speaker
ah So I'm zeroed out, basically. Yeah. unlike pno fun Can I roll for Hagelon and ring your protection? If there's another one available.
01:48:52
Speaker
You can. I will only allow items to be rolled on once if you're not buying it. So you can't no one else can say, can I roll an amulet that we'll just fail done?
01:49:04
Speaker
i Yeah, yeah good the ring of protection with 3,000, weren't it? Yep, go for it.
01:49:11
Speaker
I get a natural 20 on that one for 23. Nice! no Just finally, Jocko. That would 3,400 gold. Sorry, 2,400 gold. I was going to say, that went up. 2,400. Gone in reverse. 2,400. Yeah, i will I will take the ring of protection as well. then Okay.
01:49:31
Speaker
let's do that Again, look for in the DMB and Cal. I'll add it. Just before I fully decide on the bills as well. Navigator's cane that I have. um How much would I be able to sell for that?
01:49:45
Speaker
i Sell that for, sorry. but Don't forget have price. Probably if you roll natural one, it goes down. ass What's the fucking point in haggling this fucking... butt I'll try. like Zero. the price on this one I get zero for it. It's not worth It has no commercial value.
01:50:02
Speaker
Okay. Never mind. that's the yeah was you you You struggle to find anyone interested in that item. Cool. And... cool and
01:50:13
Speaker
It doesn't appear to be anything other than a plain walking stick to anyone else. yeah Oh, cool. Okay. Because it's useful for our travels to attune to it, but otherwise it's like a waste of slot. Do I be a dickhead and spend 4,000 gold pieces?
01:50:31
Speaker
No. which leaves You can spend it if you want. Just enough for two revivifives afterwards. Look, we're not going die, mate. It's fine. We're the undying champions, aren't we? I know. And the only time you've ever revified someone is when it was a dragon. So, you know, let's have look at this.
01:50:45
Speaker
Yeah, twice. And I could always loot someone's corpse for their own gold. You could loot them. You pay your own returns from the afterlife. you have You have enough money for revify. Oh, no.
01:50:56
Speaker
Maybe you'll revify them and say, I'm going to give you a pain three option. Yeah. That's like... That's like... klarner do I'm good. It's D&D. Yeah, D&D. Yeah, D&D. Clana right there. Fuck you, beat me to it. Nice. Yeah. Sorry.
01:51:09
Speaker
is Anyone else wishes to do any more movement? I'll put the 4k into the amulet then if that's right. Yes, go for it so the price We've already rolled on it and you yeah were unsuccessful so you take it at the price.
01:51:20
Speaker
I have one thing. and Tell me to fuck off. Fuck off. There we go. How much and is possible to find an immovable rod?
01:51:31
Speaker
Try balls pants. It's very movable. Thank you. ah You don't need a strength of 24. Not when I'm done with it. i cool Push that button on the end.
01:51:46
Speaker
yeah Lock me in place.
01:51:52
Speaker
um Yeah, you could find one in the...
01:51:58
Speaker
Dark CD areas.
01:52:01
Speaker
people There aren't dark CD areas in Scorch Helm. Darken CD is... Everything is legal. ah the cheapest thing you'd find and The cheapest one you'd find is 5,000 gold.
01:52:15
Speaker
Cool. That's a nice dream, isn't it? There we go. that's that's I can't handle that down to where I'm at.
01:52:26
Speaker
Cheers. Okay. Who wants to lend me five classical? If you're a move or rod for your sex play. um Danny, I'm going to buy my belt of hill giant strength, please, because Seth's kindly given me some money. okay ah Because we're death bros.
01:52:41
Speaker
Okay. At the price advertised. Yes. the At 8,000 gold. Yes. So cool. Yes. So I can afford that. Thank you. And who is tracking what you have left for cannons at this point?
01:52:56
Speaker
It's Tharok's wish, so you know Darren, that's on you, mate. Well, I've got 3,800 left. And actually, Tharok has decided the gold that was left to him for the hill giant strength is now going towards the cannons.
01:53:10
Speaker
So, lucky you will.

Ship Upgrades and Future Plans

01:53:14
Speaker
Go roll your own strength-based character if you want one. You hadn't offered the hill money for the Hildanth chance, so, you know. I have just taken it away from you, so fuck off. That actually mugged Emron.
01:53:26
Speaker
Yeah. Cool, going to take all my shit and then leave now. going to go join the back guys. Good, Wasn't really well for the last player to do that, so... I'm keen to get started tonight, so if you could pick a lane on a cannon.
01:53:38
Speaker
Look, how much do you need, Darren? 3,800 is what I have and whatever is... need another 400 to meet the minimum price. hundred Is that including your 2,000? That's including what... Yeah, that's including... No.
01:53:52
Speaker
but So you've got the communal 2,000 pot. Okay. I'll give you 500 if you need Well, I've got that, we can do it. If I've got the communal 2,000 pot, I can do it. yeah The communal part was there for your cannons, so can get the minimum and then any more. So I've got 5,800 to spend. The rest will go on supplies.
01:54:08
Speaker
Whatever I can get the cannons for, the rest will just go on feeding us and not causing a mutiny from the crew that we hire because we can't feed them. No, no. That's inclusive of the cost comes in their costs. i that I asked that like 10 minutes ago.
01:54:21
Speaker
Fab. Well, that will be just to make the ship a bit more comfortable and just to make the ship a bit more pleasant then. They'll also pay for a new paint job. Are we using the ship after this? I don't know. be hilarious if we don't. You're investing in it.
01:54:34
Speaker
Do you want to attempt to haggle down on the £4,200 price for the enhanced cannons?
01:54:43
Speaker
ah Guidance. for you myro been from that kind of windyland On the somewhere, it just f throwing out guidance. you you You get a guidance. and you get It won't be enough. I rolled a nine, so it won't be enough even with the guidance. 4.2k, then mark that off to buy upgraded cannons for your ship.
01:55:03
Speaker
All good.
01:55:07
Speaker
Going once for any more orders? I've got 1,600 gold left. That will just basically go on supplying us then for whatever we do. And I've got clear image in my head of like a montage of shopping with us all finishing with a freeze frame, jumping in the air with shopping but Danny, how much how much are potions of healing?
01:55:27
Speaker
ah Regular ones are 50 gold pieces each. two, three, four, five. Cool. Can I buy five of them and then we'll just distribute them between? Oh no, six of them. Mm-hmm.
01:55:40
Speaker
And then I'll just distribute one to each person just to make it easier. and Okay. 300 gold. Mark it off, please. Yep. I'll pay for that one.
01:55:49
Speaker
All apart from people who've given me sass this evening. Oh, wait. Hang
01:55:56
Speaker
on. Ian gets one, maybe. Thank you, baby. gave you 4,000 gold, you bitch. True.
01:56:04
Speaker
So, Mark, you can have Callum, Biles and Tharox. Thank you. I'll buy my own them, bitch. All right,
01:56:19
Speaker
all right Mark, we're ready for you to start now.

Outro and Humor

01:56:24
Speaker
That was serious, guys. Taroq, Cullen, Bale, you guys don't get any hope. You've all got set. Well, I've got 1,600 gold. Ian, is that genuinely going to go in the post-credit scene? Yes. I'll advertise it in my opening then.
01:56:38
Speaker
Okay. There you go. It's just an extra 30 minutes. in that Yeah. yeah Enjoy, guys. Thanks for sticking around. Have a good week. We'll see you next week. yeah but bum bum bum um Diddly diddly.
01:56:50
Speaker
Diddly diddly. Again, we've get the credits twice. If they listen to all the credits, they get double diddly. No, no, no, no. We're not doing double credits. It'll just end now.
