Arlington's Triumphant Victory

00:00:14
Speaker
What is up, Goal Line listeners? We are back with a Tuesday afternoon edition of the Goal Line. Jordan's fresh off a trip from Minneapolis. Jordan, what's going on, man? Not too much, man. Just, ah yeah, getting caught back up on work and hopefully getting caught back up on some sleep this week.
00:00:31
Speaker
Big weekend for the Arlington. You Tigers, we played LEC. That's a big private school in Memphis. It had been right, so not only had it been four years since Arlington has beaten LEC, it's been four years since we scored a single point against them.
00:00:45
Speaker
And the boys went out, played clutch as hell, got the come from behind victory, and we won fourteen to seven dude. So it was all smiles over here pretty much all weekend, at least until a couple hours later in the afternoon. What happened? Oh, yeah.
00:00:58
Speaker
What the they kick extra points. No, they so you can go for one from the one-yard line. You can go from two from the two-yard line. I got you. Yeah, for the most part, pretty much everybody goes for two unless it's a specific game situation.

Youth Football Rules: A Discussion

00:01:12
Speaker
It's like, let's just go and take the one-pointer. I was like, damn, dude, they had an extra point kicker? What the hell kind of team is this? So this rule makes no sense, man. I really need to they've approached Sheena about taking over and being the commissioner the entire thing next year just because anybody that knows my lovely wife, Sheena, she's just a natural leader, right?
00:01:32
Speaker
um And, you know, if it if that's the case, I think I'll have an inroad to make some good rules change. but listen now they so they if if you want it So this is seven and eight year olds, right? You can kick it and it's a free kick with no rush, which is cool, right? Like if you got a kid that can actually put it through the uprights at that age, like that's it's pretty cool. And, you know, obviously it'd be really tough to execute with a rush.
00:01:51
Speaker
But if this if the holder has to get up and move to get the snap right, like if the snap's not perfectly clean, then they blow the play dead. I'm like, dude, that's so dumb, man. I feel like if you can, you know, just give them five seconds to get it off after the snap or something, dude. But that's no nobody kicks it because it's so hard to execute, you know, that that deep snap and stuff at this age, man. I don't know why that that's a freaking rule. That's crazy.
00:02:15
Speaker
Yeah, if you're already not having a rush, what does it matter if the holder gets a snap clean or not, dude? Like I said, i yeah I want to change it to where from the moment they ah and the moment the snapper hikes it, do like basketball, give them five-second count and then just blow it dead if ah you know they don't kick it by then. Yeah, that's crazy.
00:02:30
Speaker
Yeah, because I thought like, dude, that would be good to have in the bag. Like, um you know, obviously we're probably never would want to do it. But if we get in a situation where like we're down two we're down three with a couple minutes left, man, maybe kicking a freaking field goal ah would be the better bet than trying to run a play the end zone. But did that? It was it was so clutch, man. Real quick, before we move on to the the big guys,
00:02:51
Speaker
um So it's fourth and 12. We're losing seven to six, right? And we have a fourth and 12 around midfield with like two minutes left. So it's the last gasp, right? If we get stopped here, ah we're not getting the ball back. We're going to lose. We drew up a play in the dirt. We've never ran all season. We put our best ah player in shotgun and basically just did a wild gun shotgun snap to him and had him just run left.
00:03:13
Speaker
And he picked up the first down. Dude, we've never even practiced shotgun snaps at all, man. It was literally the first time we did it was right there in the game. And it freaking worked to get the first down. And we scored the game winning touchdown next play. Hell yeah, that's awesome.
00:03:25
Speaker
Yeah, we were going crazy. Let's get into some big time football.

A Minneapolis Adventure

00:03:37
Speaker
right, man. Tell us about this road trip up to Minneapolis. Yeah, man. It was ah it was good. it was me and two of my friends went up there. um We left on Friday about noon. We actually pulled into Minneapolis right at about 545. So easy drive, man. It's about five and a half hours. five and a half six hours um Friday night, we didn't do a whole lot. We actually went to, me and one of the guys went to a horror convention, um and I met Bill Mosley, the character the early characterctor that plays Otis Driftwood in House of a Thousand Corpses and Devil's Rejects. So pretty awesome to meet him. The whole convention was pretty cool. It was just in a hotel. I mean, it was like in the hallways and stuff. so
00:04:19
Speaker
So pretty typical convention. There wasn't a whole lot of stuff to um buy or anything like that i got zoe and aria a couple things but nothing too exciting and then we went to yard house i don't know you've ever been to one of those but it's oh yeah i mean food's really good got good drinks so that was a good way to top off right in and night then we just stayed up and drank and watched some college football and then uh saturday morning got up went golfing at eight o'clock in the morning Got nine in and then ah came back to our Airbnb, watched the Nebraska game, went got some Shake Shack after the Nebraska game. Hell yeah.
00:04:56
Speaker
Came back and watched ah the Tennessee-Georgia game and then ah that night... We watched some more college football and then watched the Bud Crawford fight. We got pizza that night. so and the And the pizza was really good. um But, yeah, that was fun.
00:05:11
Speaker
Sunday, got up, just kind of dicked around for a little while and then watched the noon games and then headed towards the stadium about 3. um Got an Uber to the stadium. Our Airbnb was only like 10 minutes away, so it was an easy ride.
00:05:26
Speaker
Got to the stadium, did some drinking at a couple of local bars. It was hot as shit outside that day too. it was almost 90. It was hot this weekend. It was almost 90 Minneapolis. Like, dude, that's insane.
00:05:37
Speaker
Um... went into the game and du that stadium is it's unreal to watch a football game and it's so loud and their fans are just so into it i mean obviously the game for me was great like there were so many people that are talking about how boring it was and i'm like oh i don't care if it's boring or not the the falcons won the game they absolutely dominat dominated yeah from start to finish they dominated that game like the i mean The Vikings got over midfield three times in the game. Like, Falcons defense just looked unreal on Sunday night. So, definitely something for the Falcons to build off.
00:06:12
Speaker
Yeah, man, it was ah it was a fun night. And then just took an Uber back to the to the Airbnb and slept and drove back yesterday morning at 8 a.m. So, yeah, man, all in all, good weekend, quick weekend. But, yeah, man, Minneapolis is cool. There's a lot of stuff to do there.
00:06:27
Speaker
Oh, we went to Matt's Burger on um Sunday morning. You might not ever have heard of it, but diners, drive-ins, and dives went there. It's the originator of the Juicy Lucy cheeseburger.
00:06:41
Speaker
It's ah just like two patties smashed together with melted cheese between them. So it's it's unreal. like it's I mean, it's definitely worth going to if you're ever in Minneapolis. Is that your first time going to a game there? You've been before, right? I had never been ah to a game at the new stadium, no.
00:06:56
Speaker
Okay, I thought you'd been. Oh, no, you went up for AEW Full Gear. Yeah, that wasn't at the stadium, though. Yeah, that was at Target Center. Yeah. Nice. But i'd been to home and I had been to the stadium before we went to Jay-Z and Beyonce there. I just had never i'd never actually seen a game there.
00:07:12
Speaker
Yeah, definitely one of the nicest stadiums in the NFL for sure, man. Supposed supposed to get a WrestleMania there eventually, dude. If that ever comes back stateside, who knows if that's happening again. They actually have advertisements for SummerSlam next summer all over. So, yeah. All right, what else you want to about, man? Let's do it. let's ah Let's talk about the Husker

Tennessee vs. Georgia Game Highlights

00:07:30
Speaker
game. I mean, there's not a whole lot to go over. Dude, this team, I mean, I know who they played, but they are rolling going into this Michigan game. Like, dude,
00:07:40
Speaker
I mean, they haven't allowed anybody to throw for 100 yards yet. Like, it's just their top 10 in offense and defense are one of three teams. Indiana, BYU, and Nebraska are the three teams that are top 10 in defense and offense. So, um yeah, I mean, I'm looking forward to this weekend, but not really much to dwell on about Saturday. it was just another beat down.
00:08:01
Speaker
Tennessee. Dude, when they when they went up 21-7 right away, I'm like, all right, man, this Tennessee team is different. They kept bringing up the fact that they hadn't beat them since 2016. I'm like, nah, man, this this team's different. They're ready to go.
00:08:16
Speaker
Dude, that was a heartbreaker for them to lose like that, man. Dude, I think Heupel got conservative about 30 seconds too soon, man. I think, you know, obviously it was a great game, dude. i really did Tennessee, um you know, they didn't drop any in the rankings. I think they actually kind of raised their national profile with a loss, which which sucks because you kind of always want your team to be beyond, like, moral victories. You know what mean?
00:08:37
Speaker
Yeah. But they played a damn good game. I knew the moment that they showed that kicker warming up. Once he got inside two minutes, I was like, bro, this guy's missing. That that kicker looked like he wanted no part of that pressure situation. And I think it showed because you saw, you know, literally three minutes later in overtime, dude, he kicks basically the exact same field goal and puts it right through the uprights, man. But that guy, he looked like he was at like pucker factor 15. It didn't look like there was anything mechanically wrong, like no good snap, clean hold. hey It looked like he just straight up missed the kick, man, on that game winning field goal. um Hell of a show and the lot to be happy about if you're a Tennessee fan, dude. You know, it it really didn't get played up it ah as much as I think it should.
00:09:13
Speaker
Their two starting cornerbacks were out, dude. They put up that performance against, you know, they damn their they took Georgia to the absolute limit and beyond um with both their starting cornerbacks out, man. So I'd i'd definitely be excited if they got another shot at them in the conference championship. Man, what a blessing in disguise this Nico thing has turned out to be, dude. Joey Aguilar, he's the freaking dude.
00:09:32
Speaker
Yeah, Nico's They just fired their head coach. like That was an absolute disaster for him. i Again, when you get bad advice, this is what happens. it's just yeah I feel bad for Nico because it's like, dude, you can tell he just got a bunch of bad advice from people. and yeah there are all the Yeah, I listen to like you know some quote-unquote insider podcasts there about the Vols, and it's just nothing them but rave reviews. I think one thing that definitely like hurts, you know it definitely like makes Tennessee feel better about this, is that the stuff that was weaknesses for Nico are strengths for Joey Aguilar, dude. Because like you know the big thing last year, we'd have receivers wide open deep, and Nico's just sailing it over their head. Obviously, he could throw it 90 yards, but he's just zooming over their head. Whereas you saw Saturday, dude, they were killing them on the deep balls, dude. Like freaking...
00:10:17
Speaker
Aguilar was just dropping it in a bucket. And the other thing, I think he's just a much more like extroverted type leader. That's the other thing. Nico's definitely kind of a a quiet guy. like he was Nico was beloved there with the Vols. Make no mistake about it. He was beloved.
00:10:30
Speaker
But he was definitely a quiet, more reserved type guy where I think Joey Aguilar is more of like the kind of stereotypical rah-rah quarterback. And sometimes that kind of stuff can take you a long way, especially in close games. I mean, that was an all-time classic, dude. That's going to be an early candidate for...
00:10:43
Speaker
for game of the year in college football. Went back and forth so many times, man. You got the heartbreak, dude. You could see 100,000 people get their heart broken. ah You know, it always makes for some high drama. ah Props to Georgia, dude. They kept fighting. There were multiple times they could have laid down.
00:10:57
Speaker
It got to overtime, and they just they basically said, like, you know what, we're going to remind you who the Georgia Bulldogs are and just ran it straight down Tennessee's throat, man. It was a very demoralizing ending to an otherwise awesome freaking Saturday of football. Yeah. Yeah, when Tennessee kicked a field goal right away in overtime, like, yeah, that's the game. There's no way Georgia's not scoring a touchdown here. It just sucks, man. Tennessee, I felt like the way they started, dude, they just they had their foot on their throat and they were just going.
00:11:25
Speaker
and then, like you said, it just it seemed like whatever happened, but it they just could not move the ball as easy as they were in the first quarter, which but Yeah, it was it was till the fourth quarter until they they kind of caught fire again, man. But yeah, good game. But dude, a team like Georgia, man, you know, Kirby Smart's obviously a great coach.
00:11:43
Speaker
They got a great amount of talent in there. You got to beat them for 60 minutes, dude. 59 minutes ain't good enough, man. 58 minutes ain't good enough. you You're going to have to play that team for 60 minutes if you want to get the win. against them um but yeah you i i don't think it really doesn't that loss especially the way it went down i don't think it changes anything for tennessee as long as they if they can split uh between oklahoma and alabama and win all the rest of their games i think they got a very very good shot at getting back in the playoffs and obviously if they win out they're definitely gonna be in the playoffs but i think as long as they win one out of two between oklahoma and alabama they got a pretty clear path to get one of the at-large bids yeah
00:12:18
Speaker
um Miami, man, this team is good,

Miami's Path to Glory

00:12:23
Speaker
dude. They just absolutely steamrolled South Florida. I thought South Florida could keep it close the way they had played the first two weeks, but, dude, Miami just showed they were on a different level on Saturday. they just South Florida didn't have a chance from the minute that game started. and Yeah, they got Miami's got some tricky ones, man. These next two weeks with Florida and Florida state, if they can get past these two, man, dude, they might go undefeated. There's a very good chance. They go undefeated. They're going to be, they're gonna be favored regardless every game, the rest of the way, but yeah, if they get past Florida and Florida state, I think they're staring down the barrel of an undefeated regular season.
00:12:58
Speaker
Yeah, and definitely possible.

Notre Dame's Controversial Ranking

00:13:00
Speaker
The Texas A&M Notre Dame game was another instant classic game. That was a good one, man, dude. The end of that game was incredible. The quarterback from A&M was making some of the dumbest decisions and then some of the best decisions.
00:13:14
Speaker
That play call at the end of the game was beautiful, though. like Just getting that tight end on a linebacker that was way shorter than him. Beautiful play call. I think I can't remember the stat the top my head. It was either his first catch of the day or that may have been his first catch of the season. It was his first catch of the season, yeah. yeah first catch of the season and what a way to do it man he used to play at nebraska too he was at nebraska for three years he just couldn't get in the game he's more of a blocking tight end more than anything so really cool for him uh dude how about uh dude i gotta get props to that aggies crowd obviously they always have one of best home field advantages in the league dude it sounded like an a&m home game man they brought a serious contingent to south bend if you're
00:13:54
Speaker
if i'm If I'm Notre Dame's head coach, I'm looking at my student body, I'm looking at my freaking alumni, like, what is going on here? Because it felt, yeah I mean, it sounded like it was a neutral site game. Can we also talk about the fact that Notre Dame is still ranked, even though they're 0-2? Like, somebody said the other day the first team to be ranked at 0-2 since, like, 1988 or something. Like, doesn't.
00:14:13
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, it was two tough losses to quality opponents and and their Notre Dame. that and they meet They always want to show love to Notre Dame. that's The problem, though, is that that's they have USC still on their schedule, but they have nobody else that's even remotely of note at this point for the rest of the season. So, i don't know. is just It's just weird to me. Yeah. Yeah, I bet they went out and sneak one of the at-large bids, man. They're a national brand. They're always going to get the benefit of the doubt with the college football pollsters. um Let's talk about Georgia Tech real quick.

Georgia Tech and Clemson's Challenges

00:14:42
Speaker
Dude, this team, ah they they just fight no matter what, and they they take it down to the end every single week. Like
00:14:50
Speaker
Also, Clemson, Dabo Sweeney coming out today and just basically bragging about what he's done at Clemson is is not the flex that he thinks it is. like Dude, you're one and two Your quarterback was a Heisman candidate, like one of the top five Heisman candidates.
00:15:05
Speaker
You were a top five team at the beginning of the season. Flexing about what you've done in the past is not doing anything when you're one and two, and your one win could have easily been a loss against Troy. I worry for Georgia Tech, man. I really worry about that quarterback making it to the end of the season, dude. If he's on NCAA, like his wear and tear, he's like every every body part's glowing red, dude. He had 25 carries for 100 yards on ah on Saturday. that That's the stat line of a workhorse tailback, dude, and that's their starting TV, so...
00:15:34
Speaker
He was like that last year, though, dude. remember that real good game had against Georgia, dude. They kept running Haynes King. It's probably like he was running him into the middle of the freaking line every single play against that brutal Georgia defense, man. So that's one tough SOB, man, if nothing else, dude. So shout out to him. Yeah.
00:15:48
Speaker
All right, let's do our college picks. So we've got God damn it. Why do we always have to listen this song? Why do we always get to listen to this the question you should be asking, dude.
00:16:02
Speaker
We don't have to. We get to
00:16:06
Speaker
They told me bust out my AP. Okay, this one's not officially a top 25 matchup, but I mean, it's close enough. Oh, we got a bonus? Yeah. Let's hit it. Michigan versus Nebraska. Obviously, Nebraska is right on the cuff for being ranked.
00:16:21
Speaker
They're going to break a corncob off those Wolverines. You do think mr Nebraska wins? I think it's a toss-up, dude. but I've not been impressed with Michigan, though, dude. And I haven't watched a ton of Nebraska football, dude, but you've been glazing them so hard on here that I'm ready to freaking get down and freaking tag team the glaze, man. And, yeah, I see Nebraska wins. Okay, so here's the thing.
00:16:41
Speaker
They have to spy Bryce Underwood. Like, as as long as they do that and he doesn't run all day, i think they're going to be completely fine because he's like ninth in the Big Ten in accuracy. or I mean, he's not throwing the ball well at all.
00:16:54
Speaker
And Nebraska's past defense has been great through three weeks. So as long as they spy him and keep him in the pocket, I think they can do on ah enough on offense to win. i mean, I'm definitely picking Nebraska. Like, dude, they got to get over the top at some point.
00:17:08
Speaker
Win this game, then you got to buy week next week, and then everything's in front of you from there. Are you clocking tickets, man? I figured you'd be heading up for this game, dude. It's in ah Lincoln, dude.
00:17:20
Speaker
How far away is Lincoln?

Nebraska vs. Michigan: Strategic Insights

00:17:22
Speaker
45 minutes away. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. I am clocking on tickets are $400. means I'm not going. Dang. That's just to get in the building? Yeah, it's bad.
00:17:31
Speaker
Jeez. Freaking WWE tickets, man. Yeah, not happening. Okay. Next, we got Texas Tech versus Utah. Coin flip, dude. I have not seen much Texas Tech. I've seen a little bit of Utah, and I like what I saw. I mean, it's typical typical Utah football, sp spreading it out and, you know, throwing that thing all over the freaking yard, dude. So I'll go. I think, yeah, I'm looking at the stats right now. Yeah, Utah's QB's already got seven touchdown passes on the season.
00:17:55
Speaker
I'll go Utah, man, just because I'm not super familiar with Texas Tech yet this year. I'm going to go Texas Tech. i I'm not. I haven't watched a ton of either one of these teams with the highlights I've seen of Texas Tech are pretty impressive. So I'm going to Texas Tech.
00:18:09
Speaker
Okay. Auburn, Oklahoma's next. I think Oklahoma, man. Auburn's tough, dude. I think this is going be a dogfight. I think this is going to be the opposite of what we saw in that Tennessee-Georgia game where they were lighting up the scoreboard. I think is going to be some more classic SEC football.
00:18:25
Speaker
I like Oklahoma's quarterback, dude. This quarterback they got, he's fast as hell, bro. like he's ahs You don't expect it, man. like You'll hear the The announcers will probably say that, you know, he's deceptively athletic. That's code for being a white guy that's fast.
00:18:37
Speaker
um But, no, dude dude can ball, man. I think i think he's going to show out and make enough plays down the stretch that that helps him win. Yeah, I'm going Oklahoma as well. I just think it's going to be close more than anything.
00:18:49
Speaker
Yeah, I'm looking at him right now. Yeah, John Mateer, he's already got a 51-yard run this season. Yeah. Illinois versus Indiana. Illinois. I think Indiana's I think they're just as big, if not a bigger pretender than they were last year. I think the Illini are going go in there and rock them. Yeah, I like Illinois as well.
00:19:06
Speaker
We do have one bonus. This is not a pick. This is just going to we're going to talk about Saturday night. Bud Crawford absolutely dominated Canelo. Obviously, i have to bring this up because this is a Nebraska boy.
00:19:17
Speaker
Dude, i don't know if you watched any of that fight. but I watched the first four rounds, and then I faded on it. did it end't that Was it a stoppage, or was it decision? No, it was just so like like dude it was a decision. Neither one of those guys has ever been knocked down ever, so there there was not going to be a stoppage. but Dude, he just jabbed him to death and just never let him get inside. It was very impressive. like i mean he's freaking yeah he He's the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world right now, hands down. Yeah, it's crazy.
00:19:43
Speaker
All right, let's move on to NFL. So...
00:19:48
Speaker
Oh, my bad. We got NFL talk. My bad. That was a good one. Okay, okay. Well, let's get that out of the way first. It's Thursday Night Football, and then we'll roll into it. We're going to interrupt Lil Wayne on this podcast. It's one thing we want to do.
00:19:59
Speaker
All right, heard the Lil Wayne lighter flick. Yeah, just one team across college and NFL for UniWatch. Packers broke out the all-white unis again. i like this look, man. It's not not the wildest look in the world, but I do think it's a clean look for them, and I like the white Packers helmet setting it off. Yeah, they're really clean.
00:20:19
Speaker
um We don't really because we can already talked about the top, but I mean, obviously the Falcons game. We always talk about Falcons and Titans first. Falcons just absolutely destroyed the Vikings. We don't need to go too much more into it.
00:20:30
Speaker
ah Titans, dude, they're just going to be a tough team all year, I feel like. And it just always feels like it's going to come up short because their guys can't make enough plays. Dude, Calvin Ridley is absolute garbage.
00:20:42
Speaker
He's stealing money, bro. The Tennessee State Troopers need to be fucking on his ass, bro. They need to be waiting at Nissan Stadium and arrest him when he shows up for the game on Sunday because he's stealing a paycheck from the Titans right now, man. He is absolutely miserable.
00:20:56
Speaker
Dude, it's... You know, he's... I don't know, dude. He'll make a play every other game. We're like, damn, this dude can ball, man. I think he's got the ability to be like a kind of like ah right below all pro level wide receiver. But it's like, i don't know if it's just a mental thing or the effort or what, man. But like, dude, I just I fuck like he's toxic, bro. As a and obviously, I'm extremely, extremely low level, dude.
00:21:19
Speaker
But as a coaching football, that's exactly the type of player I don't want on the field, man Somebody that's got the ability but just doesn't bring it is is the freaking worst, dude. So, yeah, i I'm with you, man. Fuck Calvin Ridley. Are you going to the game this weekend?
00:21:32
Speaker
No, we were me and Hawk had planned to go, but there's a big Memphis wrestling show, and that's something I can do with the whole family, so I picked that over going to the ah Titans game. I think we're still it's probably going to be like a week of decision, but we're still looking at potentially going to the Titans and Chiefs that week, the game right before Christmas. Okay, cool.
00:21:52
Speaker
All right, go back to Thursday night. Packers just absolutely handled the commanders. i I mean, we were an FC leg on my Super Bowl pick is looking good, man. we got You guys were I picked Chiefs to beat the Packers Chiefs.
00:22:04
Speaker
Look at sketchy here by the week, man. But the Packers thing is looking like a very realistic possibility. It's definitely possible. I feel like them and the Eagles are like the class of the NFC at this point. i just I mean, it's the Rams are still really good, but I just feel like those two teams are kind of just separating.
00:22:21
Speaker
Yeah. Of course, the year that the Bengals decide they're going to win two their first two games is the year that Joe Burrow's basically done for the season at this point. like i was I've been planning to address this. I've got to give Jordan his props, dude. Jordan had been we'd been on opposite sides of the fence on the T. Higgins deal, and really that's that's the bigger argument is, you know, should should the Bengals be trying to be more balanced just go all in on offense? You guys know i'd I'd always been saying I was a fan of kind of just maximizing your strengths and trying to win with that. And Jordan had been saying, like, dude, they shouldn't have signed T. Higgins, should have done some stuff to either, you know, improve the run game or or even better, like throw some money on that defense. But now Burrow's out and, you know, you've literally built your whole roster is constructed around the idea that we're just going to outscore anybody we play.
00:23:09
Speaker
um And, yeah, obviously that's in shambles now with the backup quarterback coming in. Yeah, i mean, their entire season's cooked. Like, even if they play well enough to somehow get in the playoffs, like, there's no way you're going to convince me that Jake Browning is taking them to the promised land. It's just, this is... So, the I thought there's a chance Barrow be back in December, dude.
00:23:28
Speaker
they said three months at the absolute best would be best case and like dude he's got to have his toe like the the ja the muscle in his toe has to be reattached like you're not not just amputated like ronnie lot did with his pinky back for the niners don't think that would be helpful at all if you're quarterback bro Like not having your big toe as a quarterback cannot be a good thing. I will say Jake Brown is better than the average bear at backup QB. I want to say they went four and three in 2023 with him.
00:23:58
Speaker
But like you said, dude, you know, best case scenario, he keeps them afloat, right? They're hovering around 500 and maybe it's enough to make a late push and sneak ah ah one of the last wildcard spots. Dude, between those top three in the AFC, yeah, I'm still including the 0-2 Chiefs in there. But between the Ravens, ah Bills, and Chiefs, I don't think there's any way a freaking seven seed is is running the table through that and getting to the Super Bowl, man. so This is exactly why I said I did not like them signing T. Higgins. I felt like they could have used the money for offensive line.
00:24:27
Speaker
That dude is running for his life every play. it's just It's a horrible business decision by a franchise. like it's just jake Jake Browning and Jamar Chase, along with you know a better O-line slash run game and ah and a better defense, that sounds a lot more appealing than Jake Browning, Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins, and the Bad News Bears for the next three months. I'd point to Jordan on that one, dude. that this debate will Time will tell, but it's definitely looking like Jordan is the winner on that one, man.
00:24:55
Speaker
Okay, game of the weekend probably. Cowboys win the thriller against the Giants. Russell Wilson. Poor Russell Wilson, man. Dude, just like did you wanted that moment for Russ, man. is As annoying as he can be, dude, like he's you know he's really kind of kept his name out any sort of negative headlines off the field and stuff. And for all everything we see as a good family, man, like dude, you wanted him to have that moment because that was one hell of a throw and catch between him and neighbors at the end.
00:25:20
Speaker
But, dude, Brandon Aubrey, man, that's a bad motherfucker right there. Yeah, that's probably the one kicker in the NFL that, like, dude, if you're kicking it off and they get the ball at the 35-yard line, like, they basically only need 15 yards to get in field goal range. Like, yeah what a weapon to have. But, dude, Malik Nabors is an absolute star. Dude, that's the other thing, man. That throw was crazy. That catch was nuts, dude. The dude had his hand all in his face.
00:25:44
Speaker
He had his mouthpiece out, so the mouthpiece is flopping around right in the field of vision. Like, yeah, that was one heck of a freaking catch. Yeah, Malik Nabors is a stud. is So does Brandon Aubrey, does he officially got the the kicker championship belt from Justin Tucker now?
00:25:57
Speaker
Oh, yeah. I mean, Brandon Aubrey is probably going to be the best kicker in the league for the next five years at least. What a weapon, man. They're lucky to have him because, I mean, he basically won them that game.
00:26:09
Speaker
He did, dude. Yeah, there's not there's very you know maybe one or two other kickers in the league that would have even You had any kind of confidence, man, on that attempt, and he went out there and got it done. um Seahawks absolutely manhandled the Steelers. I guess ah Seth's a love affair with Aaron Rodgers led Steelers ended after week two because they looked like hammered shit against the Seahawks.
00:26:31
Speaker
That's some, you know, Seahawks are a decent team. They're better than they showed week one. That's some serious red flags, though, because dude that was a Seahawks team heading cross country playing in the early window. That's almost always spelled doom for them. And like that's just been that's always a thing. Those West Coast teams travel with the early East Coast start time like you. You wanted to see Pittsburgh go out there and freaking handle of their business, man. So, yeah. you know i'm not I'm not selling all my 2025 Steelers stock just yet, but that but yeah, dude, the the warning signs are there. that maybe that Maybe, then like you said on Sunday when we were texting, maybe them and the Jets both just really, really suck, and that was just kind of a big mirage, that that really entertaining game they had week one. Well, the Jets clearly really, really suck. What did Justin Fields have, like 27 yards passing in that game? That team is awful, dude. Yeah.
00:27:15
Speaker
Yeah. um col so I think they're definitely going to pass the Saints for worst team in the league, d The Saints have been competent, man. I think that's a salute to Kellen Moore, the job he's doing down there with a pretty bare cupboard. But the Saints have looked at least borderline competent. Yeah, the Jets were an absolute mess yesterday. I will say my my preseason bets for the the Jets and Saints both to go under four and a half are looking awful good right now. You're on pace, dude. You're on pace right now for sure.
00:27:40
Speaker
All right, we got to talk about them. We didn't do it last week. Colts are the first team in the Super Bowl era and not to punt in the first two games. Dude. d Danny Dimes, baby. and Maybe it was just the Giants, dude. We saw Saquon leave and go on to play better than he ever has, and now we got the same thing with Danny Dimes. Bro.
00:27:58
Speaker
They just absolutely controlled the game offensively and just destroyed the Broncos defense. that that That's what I came away with out of this game that i was the most impressed with. They moved the ball with ease on what's supposed to be the best defense in the league. like That shocked me, honestly. Daniel Jones, 316 yards passing, had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. Only took one sack. Didn't Jonathan Taylor have like 150 yards rushing, too? 165 yards on 25 carries, including a 68-yarder, man. Yeah, they had a run, and they had three passes over 40 yards. So they're hitting some explosive plays, man. isn't like their
00:28:31
Speaker
they had some explosive they had three so they had a sixty eight yard run and they had three passes over forty yards so they're hitting some explosive plays man this isn't like they're like you know, winning ugly. Like, dude, they tore up the Broncos who were like, ah you know, they were a dark horse Super Bowl pick for this year, man. So, maybe they're for real, dude. I, if you add, if you still put a gun to my head right now, I think the Colts are finishing with a losing record. Sorry to our buddy Hawk.
00:28:54
Speaker
But dude, no complaints over the start of the season, man. They looked very good. And then the AFC South that, Doesn't really have any world beaters, man. um Maybe it's enough to get in the playoffs. You know, the Texans had a really tough start to the season.
00:29:06
Speaker
They're 0-2, so you got the head start on them, but I don't know if it's going to be strong enough to hold off ah Houston all season long. Yeah, I'm interested to see how it goes the rest of the way. Dude.
00:29:18
Speaker
i'm I'm putting the alarm out on the Chiefs, man. They are in deep, deep trouble. Their all offense is not good, man. it's I mean, it hasn't been good in three years, though. I know, but, dude, here's the problem now, though. like Now they're older on defense, so they can't just rely on their defense to just win them every game. like That's basically what they did last year. They just knew their defense was good enough to get enough stops.
00:29:41
Speaker
like And Mahomes would make the play down the stretch. The defense is starting to age a little bit, and it's starting to show. I mean, not that the Eagles did anything great in that game, but they just did enough to win. And don't know, man. I just I'm not panicking, dude. I've seen enough, man. I'm definitely not panicking, dude. Like, I think they'll be fine. They're going to Rasheed Rice back.
00:30:01
Speaker
Xavier Worthy will come back eventually. Like, I think the Chiefs are going to be fine, man. If anything, they're going be, you know, kind of sneaking up through the weeds, man, and maybe people will they'll be They'll be the hunters instead the hunted in the playoffs this year.
00:30:14
Speaker
ah Chiefs are definitely getting the scumbag of the week award, though, for wearing free four shirts. Like, dude, Rasheed Rice is lucky that's all he got suspended for was the six games. like Who was wearing that? Some of the players? Travis, Kelsey, and a bunch of those guys were wearing it before the game when they were warming up. I'm like, bro. Yeah, that's pretty lame. Yeah, that's that's not good.
00:30:34
Speaker
Rasheed Rice does not seem to be a good person. No. uh let's talk about the bucks last night there's there's not much talk about in the second game let's just talk about the bucks dude don't don't give that team the ball with any time left is all i missed that was a good game dude that was ah a really good game i i i got to lock in and watch that whole second half man there was some good football being played dude feel for the texans man two two tough opponents but two brutal losses there to uh start the season man um I will say they got a break, dude. I still so I was watching the game with the sound off. I was at a work function.
00:31:08
Speaker
What was the explanation for it not being on block on the back on that punt return that they busted down the stretch in the fourth quarter? Texans had a long punt return. Anybody that's ever watched football was calling for a block in the back penalty.
00:31:20
Speaker
They threw the flag, but then they picked it up and waved it off. well they weren' What was the deal with that? They did not throw the flag for a block in the back. They threw a flag for whole thing. Gotcha. Gotcha. So how what did they say? What they just said that they did just miss that one or what they just said there after review, there is no call for holding on the play. But then they brought in the rules analyst and asked him about that block in the back. And he said it should not have been called for a block in the back. And I was like,
00:31:45
Speaker
Okay. I don't know. looked like a block in the back I've ever seen in my life, man. But, no, good game, dude. Obviously, if you're Texans fan, you hate being But I think the prospects are still looking up for them. That was just, you know, the Bucs made one more play that they had to down the stretch, man.
00:32:00
Speaker
Bucs definitely got some oxy. They're clutch, dude. One thing about Baker Mayfield, he he's going to turn over the ball and stuff. but ah But, man, that dude, get give him one-score game, give him ball at the end. He plays fearless, man. That scramble he had on the fourth down to keep him alive was so clutch. And then it seemed like that was kind of just that was all they needed to kind of get the juices flowing. They they made it look easy the rest of the way down the field.
00:32:19
Speaker
Oh, there was one more thing i want to talk about. Are you selling any of your Jag stock yet? Are you still all in on Trevor Lawrence? Because Trevor Lawrence is not good, dude. Dude, I don't know what's going on, man. I think yeah I could totally see him having a ah career renaissance if they end up pulling, you know.
00:32:38
Speaker
pulling the freaking string did and and just letting him go from Jacksonville. But yeah, man, I think I'm officially sundowning that, ah that prospect that Trevor Lawrence being one of the best quarterbacks in the league there, dude, he, that interception the first half, like, bro, what are you doing, man? Like, I don't think I ever threw an interception that bad, man, in my football playing career. Like just a whore. It was a bad decision and it was, and it was compounded by an absolutely horrible throw. yeah.
00:33:00
Speaker
Yeah, I don't know. It's not looking good for the Jags. They they had they lost to Jake Burnham and the Bengals, man. Burrow was out a big chunk of that game, and they still couldn't beat the Bengals. So not a lot to be excited about if you're Jacksonville.
00:33:12
Speaker
Dude. And what the hell is wrong with Brian Thomas jr. Like yeah anytime there's a chance of contact, he just doesn't even reach for the ball. Now I got, I don't know what's going on with that team. And then watching how they're using Travis Hunter is, i mean, dude, what the hell did you waste a second pick for at this point? Like you're not even using him.
00:33:31
Speaker
They don't know how to use them on defense. They don't know how to use them on offense. um Maybe he's just, Oh, I don't know. we'll We'll wait and see how it goes the rest the year, but I do not like the Travis Hunter usage at all so far.
00:33:44
Speaker
mean i think the Jags are right there in the mix for worst-run team in the league. do I think you've got the Jags. We hear bad things about the Cardinals, the Bengals. The ra Raiders seem like they've gotten a little bit better in the last few years, man but the Raiders are always screwy.
00:33:56
Speaker
Panthers. I think it's probably between the Panthers. If my kid is going to the NFL, the Panthers and Jags would probably be the top two teams. I would not want him to go to you under any circumstance. Yeah, we we don't need to egg on or put any more egg on the Bears fans' faces because like the that franchise is screwed, dude. therere I don't even know what to say about the Bears anymore. like they how How bad has Ben Johnson hating his life on Sunday, man? When he's looking across the field like, man, I really could have stuck with Detroit for another year and have a chance to maybe go in Super Bowl. But instead, I'm here getting my brains bashed in, getting a 50-burger dropped on Bro, remember when I told you before the season that I did not, when the Falcons released Grady Jarrett, I was like, this dude is washed. He has nothing left. He has two assisted tackles through two games. Like, he's not good, man. He just, yeah they they spent so much money on that defensive line and they have zero s sacks through two games.
00:34:44
Speaker
They are in deep, deep trouble. Like, it's not looking good if you're a Bears fan, man. All right, that's it, man. Let's go into picks. Picks.
00:34:58
Speaker
Yeah.
00:35:08
Speaker
How did we last week? All right, I went 13-3. You went 11-5. it! The two games we split on was Bengals, Jags, and Patriots, Dolphins, and I had the Bengals and the Patriots.
00:35:19
Speaker
I do not know why you picked the Dolphins, dude. That team is bad. But so are the Patriots. Patriots are not good either. I did not come out of that game thinking, oh, man, Patriots are a good team. They're bad also. always I always yeah, I tend to think most NFL teams fall, like, firmly somewhere in the middle. So, like, I'm i'm always hesitant to pick if teams are close to being, like, equal, I tend to, like, not pick against, um like, the the losing streak. You know what i mean? I just I thought the Dolphins would bounce back and get a win, man. No.
00:35:48
Speaker
um Speaking of the Dolphins, let's start off there. Thursday night football, dude. Bills and Dolphins, man. oh You know, Bills are 11 and a half point favorites. The only window for screwing this, man, is just it's a Thursday night game. So I think maybe we see the Bills not kick quite as much ass as they should.
00:36:04
Speaker
But I still think they take it to them man. we We see the Bills win by at least two scores. Yeah, um Bills are going to win this game easily. The 2-0 Bengals come limping in to face a pissed-off Minnesota team in Minneapolis. I think the Vikings get right here, and I think they make john Jake Browning's life a living hell on Sunday. Have you seen how many people the Vikings have already ruled out for Sunday? like Half their goddamn team's out. like McCarthy's not playing. Aaron Jones isn't playing. like I don't think... Damn, what happened to McCarthy, dude? don't I have not been on any NFL news today. Apparently, it was yesterday. Apparently, heard ah the Falcons destroyed his ankle or something. He's got a high ankle sprain.
00:36:41
Speaker
Oh, that's not good. So, it's Carson Wentz versus Jake Browning. no No rumors or swirling of a Kirk Cousins to Minnesota trade? Dude, there are so many injuries. I would not be surprised if somebody trades for Kirk Cousins. What about the Bengals, bro?
00:36:56
Speaker
Why not, dude? The Bengals should don know the ban is be calling the Falcons and the Giants to try to get either Jameis Kirk Cousins. like There's no way I would not be calling one of those two teams right now.
00:37:09
Speaker
At this point... Do you like Jake Browning? Do you do you like Kirk Cousins more you like Jake Browning, though, dude? don't know, man. Especially considering he's been there. I think it's close enough that, like, you kind of just go with Jake Browning. um he You know, he knows. the ah He ought to know the offense inside and out by now. But, yeah, very interesting, man. All right. Hold on, we didn't. So who who's your pick?
00:37:30
Speaker
I'm going Vikings, dude. I still think the Vikings win, man. I i think the Bengals are going to crumble.
00:37:37
Speaker
Yeah, I'll go Vikings as well, but I'm not confident in that pick at all like i think They're two and a half point favorites right now, dude, so it's razor thin, the freaking how Vegas sees this one. It's not good.
00:37:49
Speaker
Steelers and Patriots in New England. I'm going Pittsburgh, man. I'll stick with them for at least another week. I think Pittsburgh goes up and handles business.
00:38:00
Speaker
I did not like what I saw in New England either. I think both these teams are bad. I'll go Pittsburgh. Colts and Titans in Tennessee. Titans. Titans getting their first win, bro. They're going to bring this Colts house of cards tumbling down.
00:38:14
Speaker
God, dude, I really don't do not like picking Daniel Jones. Indy's a three and a half point road favorite, man. i say Titans win, dude. I'm going go Colts. All right. Texans, Jags in Jacksonville. I think Texans roll, dude. Jacksonville is actually favorites, dude, by one and half points, man. if i If I'm a better, I'm pounding that, bro. i Dude, if I'm you, I'm laying some money on the Texans, dude. Texans are going to be in, I think, a not so much desperation mode, just anger mode, man. After losing two close games the first two weeks, I think they go down there and brutalize the Jags.
00:38:44
Speaker
The Jaguars are not good. Yeah, I'll go Texans as well. Falcons and Panthers in Charlotte. Falcons, no question. We're over this bullshit of we're losing to teams we shouldn't lose to.
00:38:56
Speaker
third No question. Yep, Falcons are winning this weekend. I'll go Falcons. I'll go Falcons. I definitely question it. bro look at the line. The line alone should tell you, like, Vegas doesn't miss that bad usually.
00:39:09
Speaker
That's a high line for a game that I thought was going to be like a toss-up. Last time we saw these teams play, it was in Atlanta. Falcons were playing for their playoff lives. Panthers were playing for nothing, and the Panthers were not there. It was last season. Teams are different.
00:39:24
Speaker
I'm not saying i just the Falcons are world beaters or anything. I just think their defense is actually really good. like Through two weeks, i mean they played the Bucs and the Vikings, and They looked really good for two weeks. So unless it just comes crashing down this week, I think they should be able to make enough plays on defense and enough on offense.
00:39:43
Speaker
ah Even if it's a close game, I think they win. I'm picking them to win, and I'm fairly confident. But i'm deaf it's not without question, though. ah This should be a good one, dude. The Rams and Eagles in Philly, man. Rams have obviously had a really good start to the season.
00:39:57
Speaker
Eagles are 2-0. The scary thing is I don't think the Eagles have played close to their best ball yet, man. I really don't. I thought they looked they they definitely had a ton of room for improvement Cowboys. Same thing with the Chiefs, man. They won, but it wasn't ah wasn't super impressive against the Chiefs team that's looking you know slightly above mediocre so far this year.
00:40:12
Speaker
So I think it's a really interesting game. I'll pick Philly to win because it's in Philly. I think the home throw advantage would be enough to carry them. This is, again, a West Coast team with the early kickoff on Sunday. So the NFL did the Rams no favors with this start time, and that's enough for me to lean Philly. But I'm expecting a really good game there to open the day Sunday.
00:40:28
Speaker
Yeah, dude. ah The Eagles, man, that such a weird team because they started off last season in this exact same way. They did not look good. They lost to the Falcons in week two on Monday Night Football.
00:40:40
Speaker
I still think this team has so much talent, though, that eventually they'll put it all together and we'll see the same team that we saw last year. I do think they win this week, but dude, with McVay, anything's possible.
00:40:53
Speaker
Jets and Bucs in Tampa. i think Bucs. Yeah, there's to be a Bucs by 50. Raiders and Commanders in D.C., and another they West Coast team, 12 o'clock kickoff. I think the Commanders roll and get right.
00:41:04
Speaker
Commanders are coming off like a little mini bye week also from playing on. and There's Night Football against the Packers. Jaden Daniels might not play though, which is an issue. They still got Mariota as a backup though, right? That's not good. i wouldn't be happy about that. is good, bro. the The Falcons brought Mariota down, not vice versa. but I'm going Commanders as well.
00:41:23
Speaker
Raiders took a gigantic step back this week. Yeah, dude. What was Gino doing, man? Gino might be cooked, man. He's got to be on Cooked Watch. Bro, he looked like he was blind, man. I don't even know what he was doing on half. And then there was a fourth down where he just threw it out of bounds, man. How do you not at least just yeet it downfield and hope maybe you draw pass interference or something? He literally threw it out of bounds on fourth down. How about kicking a field goal down 14 points with like six minutes left in the game? Like, what the fuck are you doing, dude?
00:41:50
Speaker
Yeah, it was like the whole team went out and just fucking partied their asses off before the game and was like, just fuck it, dude. All right, Packers and Browns in Cleveland. Packers. Yeah, Packers are going to put a beating on the Browns.
00:42:01
Speaker
This going to be a good game, dude. Definite chance to be the game of the week, man. Broncos and Chargers in Los Angeles.
00:42:10
Speaker
Broncos are you know a heartbeat, a penalty away from being two and o right now, but they let the Colts steal one on a man. and Chargers have looked as impressive as anybody through the first two weeks. I didn't love the Chargers offense last night, to be completely honest. I mean, they did enough to win.
00:42:25
Speaker
They definitely looked better in week one than I thought they did in week two. Man, the Broncos are going to be desperate in this game. going to Broncos. Broncos. I go to the Chargers, man. I think the Chargers for real. think the Chargers are going to be in the mix to get the number one seed in the AFC. This is a good thing for this slate of games this week. We've had way more than usual games we differentiate on, man. There's only two so far. Really? I thought there was more, man.
00:42:53
Speaker
um to sir Seahawks and Saints in Seattle. i think Seahawks. Yeah, Seahawks. Niners and Cardinals in San Fran.
00:43:07
Speaker
I did not love what I saw in San Francisco this weekend either, but. I mean, it's backup QB, man. And it's still going to be a backup QB this week is the problem. like I think Cardinals, man. I think Cardinals go steal one, dude.
00:43:20
Speaker
damn Cardinals are really about to be 3-0. i mean they're hard to The Cardinals are hard to love also. They barely beat the Saints in week one. They barely beat the Panthers in week two. But don't know. They traditionally have played the Niners pretty well, even in San Fran.
00:43:33
Speaker
um And I think you know going up against Mac Jones is enough to to give them the nod. San Fran's a one-and-a-half point favorite going into this game. I'm going San Francisco. i just Dude, I do not think the Cardinals are good enough to be 3-0, man.
00:43:46
Speaker
All right, Cowboys and Bears in Chicago. I think Cowboys get to 2-1. God, this has potential for atrocious game of the week. I'll go Cowboys. don't know, man. I thought the Cowboys have played pretty good through two weeks, dude. What's your beef with the Cowboys? I mean...
00:44:01
Speaker
Yeah, they played good in week one. They hung with the Eagles in week one, but I think a lot of that was Jalen Carter didn't play either. Like, they ran the ball really well in week one. Yeah. I don't know, dude. I mean, are we that sold that the Giants are, like, can score 37 points and they're that good, or is the Cowboys' defense just that but bad? Right. I think Russell Wilson just went off. Yeah, the Cowboys secondary is definitely suspect, but I don't think the Bears will be able to take advantage of it. No, the Bears are miserable. look Cowboys are going to win this game, I think. i just Bears starting 0-3 is disaster city for that franchise.
00:44:32
Speaker
Yeah, I'll go Cowboys. Sunday Night Football is a stinker this week. Chiefs at Giants, man. i don't know what they were. the fuck did they schedule this before the season? When I looked at the schedule this week, I'm like, really? This is what you thought was the game of the week?
00:44:44
Speaker
I think it's literally just because the Giants have the biggest media market. i think that's all it is, too. They know it's going to pull a TV rating, man. I think the Chiefs roll in this one. There is some drama now, though, man. With the Chiefs being 0-2, I think you got a lot more intrigue than it probably seemed like at the time when they scheduled it. But, but yeah, i think I don't see the Chiefs going 0-3.
00:45:02
Speaker
Yeah, Chiefs lose to the Giants. They are definitely on red alert. I'm going Chiefs as well. And then we got a heavyweight fight Monday night, man. Ravens and Lions should be a really, really good game.
00:45:15
Speaker
I expect the Ravens to win, man. The Lions could definitely win this, though. The Ravens, they tend to kind of play with their food a little bit, man. Maybe not necessarily put teams away. um But I do think the Ravens beat the Lions on Monday night.
00:45:32
Speaker
I'm going to go Ravens as well. I just... I still think the Lions are really good, and this is nothing against them at all. I do not like still what I've seen of the Lions' run game through two games, man.
00:45:43
Speaker
Their run blocking, they are definitely missing those two linemen a lot. Like, I just... i don't know, man. They obviously beat the shit out of the Bears, but they threw the ball a ton. And I just do. If you're going to rely on Jared Goff all season and again, this is not I'm not saying Jared Goff's a bad quarterback. But I mean, if when the chips are down and everything's on the line, if if you need Jared Goff to win you a game, I just I don't love it.
00:46:11
Speaker
Yeah, agree, man. he's like you know he He's the kind of guy who's getting enough just good enough to end up breaking your heart at the end of the season. I'm right there with you, dude. So good slate of games for week three. going to be fun. Let's get into Million Dollar Bets.
00:46:25
Speaker
Okay, KJ. Teased up. Little scrap. I got money. Be a meme. Money in the bank.
00:46:37
Speaker
All right, it was a rough South Florida freaking deep six ah Jordan's top 25 parlay last week. So he's on a loser streak. He's down to 850K for the season. My all-NFC parlay won take me up freaking $1,363,000.

I'm now about a half million ahead of Jordan, man. And, unfortunately, the wheel of death was not kind of Jordan. We got the same picks this time. Jordan's got to pick all the top 25 games against the spread, and he's already bitching because I got to pick just four Moneyline winners the It's all good, dude. I mean, it'll even itself out in the end. Like, you're to have to pick some shitty ones by the end of the season, too. College is just really hard, too, right now.
00:47:15
Speaker
Yeah. Let's hear it. Let's hear your top 25 picks and then your the bet amounts. So, I'm going to Texas Tech plus three against Utah. I'm just doing that more of a points spread. I don't necessarily think they're going to win, but, dude, when you're getting three points, you've got to take it.
00:47:31
Speaker
yeah Auburn plus six and a half. Again, i don't think they're going to win, but seven to be post touchdowns a lot. And then Illinois, I do think is going to win and they're getting four and a half. So I'm completely fine with that.
00:47:42
Speaker
I'm going to put 50,000 payout would be $362,087.
00:47:47
Speaker
All right, so I definitely chip into that lead. I got the same thing, all NFC, so I'm picking Moneyline winners. I'm going Seahawks over the Saints. I'm going Packers over the Browns. Bucks over the Jets. Commanders over the Raiders.
00:48:00
Speaker
ah Commanders definitely the shakiest of that line because Raiders should be in a little bit desperation mode, and Jane Daniels might not be playing. But I'm putting down $75,000. That's going to pay out $222,000 if it wins. So keep an eye on that, man. We'll try to keep feeding you guys some winners.
00:48:15
Speaker
Let's get into the mailbag.
00:48:35
Speaker
All right. We have one question for this week. honest This is from our friend, Tony Barker. On the scale of a nugget to diarrhea, how crappy will the Bears versus Cowboys game be to watch?
00:48:46
Speaker
I mean, since you're a Bears fan, it's probably going to be diarrhea-level bad. Like... I don't even know what you could say positive about the Bears right now, dude. It's looking very, very negative.
00:48:59
Speaker
Caleb Williams is looking worse by the week. I just, don't know, man. ah Like, do you have any thoughts on them to make Tony feel better? Because they look bad, bad.
00:49:10
Speaker
No, I think they blew it on the first pick in the draft, man. I mean, I didn't i didn't see Jaden Daniels blowing up at the time, so this is definitely a hindsight 2020 kind of deal. But I definitely think that they blew it.
00:49:22
Speaker
um on that pick. And, and yeah, man, I think they're in for like, you know, seven years of bad luck, dude. I don't see any quick turnaround coming to the Windy City. I think Dallas kicks their ass on ah on Sunday. How did polls get a contract extension before they even played out his last year?
00:49:39
Speaker
He has not drafted a single guy that's been voted to the Pro Bowl. And it is not hard to get voted to the Pro Bowl at this point with how many guys back out. And he has not drafted a single person that's gotten voted to the Pro Bowl. Like,
00:49:52
Speaker
What the fuck are the Bears even doing? Yeah, that's a very good question, man. You could you could ask that going back to it feels like since, like, they traded for Jay Cutler, man, that seemed like that was going to be, like, the big breakthrough, dude, and, like, that never worked out, and it feels like they've just been grasping the straw since then, dude. They had, like, the and Nick Foles era, man. What was the dude's name that they drafted from North Carolina? oh um Mitch Trubisky.
00:50:15
Speaker
Mitch Trubisky. You know, that was I think he was number two pick in the draft. They picked him over Mahomes. uh yeah dude just you know it's it's just been a comedy of errors at the quarterback position for that team it's just crazy to me too like they uh i listened to pardon my take yesterday on the way home and obviously big cat's a huge bears fan and he was going through the stats from that game like their top 10 tight end that they took did not get one catch in that game their uh second round pick which they all hyped up a luther bird and got one catch for five yards like
00:50:46
Speaker
And also, by the way, Tyler Warren for the Colts looks absolutely incredible at tight end. Like, ah what the fuck are the Bears doing? i just, I don't, it's like baffling to the mind of what they've done.
00:50:57
Speaker
They got an absolute ransom of picks for the Panthers to get ah Bryce Young, which at this point, both sides of that trade look really, really bad. Like, it's, It was the rare double. It was the rare lose, lose trade. like How the hell did the bears lose that trade? They got like eight picks and DJ more and somehow they're still a loser in that. Cause they drafted Caleb Williams. Like it's just insane to me.
00:51:21
Speaker
All right. That's a wrap for this episode. Jordan hit us with some closing thoughts and we'll get out of here. Yeah, man. ah Go Huskers this week and enjoy your week of football. And we'll talk to you guys next week.
00:51:36
Speaker
It's been a while since I've burned inside. I use my light for a pack.
