How are you?
00:00:04

How are you?
00:00:05
Speaker
You look amazing!
00:00:07

Happy Friday!
00:00:08
Speaker
Thank you!
00:00:09
Speaker
Happy Friday to you!
00:00:11
Speaker
Yes, yes.
00:00:12
Speaker
How's it going?
00:00:14
Speaker
It's going good, dude.
00:00:15
Speaker
I'm like, I'm not even stressing the weather right now.
00:00:17
Speaker
I'm kind of enjoying it.
00:00:19
Speaker
My hair looks crazy.
00:00:20
Speaker
I got my hair done yesterday and it feels so short.
00:00:23
Speaker
Really?
00:00:24
Speaker
It looks great.
00:00:25
Speaker
No, but I'm like, I like my longer locks.
00:00:31
Speaker
But it's fine.
00:00:32
Speaker
It'll grow.
00:00:33
Speaker
I'll just give it a couple of weeks.

Appearance and IG Live Kickoff

00:00:36
Speaker
Yeah, you're looking like a vibe right now, like a commercial, like, you know, L'Oreal, you know, like I do this, like I've done this before, like, let's get it.
00:00:47
Speaker
Well, welcome.
00:00:49
Speaker
Welcome to BiggerTalks, IG Live edition.
00:00:52
Speaker
We're here.
00:00:53
Speaker
Thank you for being available.

Content Creation and Industry Momentum

00:00:55
Speaker
We're going to talk content and influencing, gaining momentum in the entertainment industry, and building a following and building a brand.
00:01:06
Speaker
So before we get started, I met Michelle, I want to say 2015.
00:01:12
Speaker
You have like such a better memory of this.
00:01:16
Speaker
I'm like,
00:01:17
Speaker
i don't even feel like that much time has gone by and then you're like 2015 and i'm like what that's crazy it's 2015 or 2016 we was uh shots out to a body by jen um she had a fitness studio in like east hollywood and i remember
00:01:36
Speaker
It's still there?
00:01:36
Speaker
I think so.
00:01:37
Speaker
Yeah.
00:01:37
Speaker
Yeah.
00:01:38
Speaker
And it was this pretty girl and they're working out really hard.
00:01:43
Speaker
I'm like, yo, this person has to be on TV.
00:01:45
Speaker
This person has to be on TV.
00:01:46
Speaker
Who the hell is that?
00:01:49
Speaker
And you was kicking ass.
00:01:50
Speaker
I was like, yo, she going hard.
00:01:52
Speaker
Who is that?
00:01:53
Speaker
Like, she has to be a former athlete.
00:01:55
Speaker
So that was the first time I saw you.
00:01:59
Speaker
And we didn't really talk this much.
00:02:00
Speaker
I think at the time you were dating someone.
00:02:01
Speaker
But that didn't matter either.
00:02:03
Speaker
But it was just like, you know, you were...
00:02:06
Speaker
relationships and did fast forward to last year.

Meeting and Collaboration on Fitness Challenge

00:02:11
Speaker
We did some content creation together.
00:02:12
Speaker
Shots like T who kind of like brought us together and you did the 30 day fitness challenge with me, which I appreciate.
00:02:22
Speaker
Thank you.
00:02:22
Speaker
And we kind of kicked ass and you went hard and you pushed me and fun.
00:02:27
Speaker
It was fun.
00:02:28
Speaker
And yeah, that was a good time.

Career Journey and Acting Beginnings

00:02:32
Speaker
However, can you please tell the listeners, the viewers, where you from?
00:02:38
Speaker
Yeah.
00:02:38
Speaker
Your background, because you're from the Bay, right?
00:02:40
Speaker
Yeah.
00:02:41
Speaker
So I'm actually just like a Cali girl.
00:02:45
Speaker
I was born and raised in San Francisco in the city, went to a Catholic school since I was like in first grade till I graduated high school.
00:02:56
Speaker
Then I moved to LA.
00:03:00
Speaker
Between like eight to ten years which is crazy.
00:03:02
Speaker
I've been in here been here this long And as soon as I got here, I just like knew what I wanted to do so within six months I had an agency I I was already booking my commercials and then it's just kind of evolved
00:03:19
Speaker
to acting on TV and TV shows.
00:03:23
Speaker
But for me, it was great that it started commercially because I think I was able to build my confidence up in my skill level and just get comfortable with camera work and understanding, you know, all that goes into it and auditioning.

Cultural Heritage and Acting Inspiration

00:03:37
Speaker
So this was like, that was just my journey.
00:03:41
Speaker
And I feel like it worked out so well for me.
00:03:44
Speaker
So that's a little bit about who I am.
00:03:47
Speaker
I'm Nicaraguan, Latina.
00:03:48
Speaker
yeah i just love to represent for my you know so yeah i just i love to be i just love to be the face of nicaraguan latinas yeah congrats for the proper way nicarawense but people are always like what did you just say i'm like but there you go but so so was acting
00:04:13
Speaker
got to l.a like what kind of inspired you to get into acting or just doing commercials or just anything theater wise or just on stage when did that start i always knew i wanted to do tv but to be honest with you guys i didn't have any support no shade on my family or anyone else because you don't need anyone else's support but i don't think they actually thought i could do it
00:04:36
Speaker
Really?
00:04:37
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:38
Speaker
So I mean, not that they ever told me that or not that they would, but I'm sorry.
00:04:43
Speaker
You felt it though.
00:04:44
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:45
Speaker
Like, I mean, nobody was like, okay, this is what you want to do.
00:04:48
Speaker
Let's, let's sign you up.
00:04:49
Speaker
Like, I mean, I was a gap kid when I was nine and 10 and I loved it.
00:04:53
Speaker
Like, I was just like, oh my God, like, this is what I want to do.
00:04:57
Speaker
And we'd be at photo shoots and they'd give me the clothes and like hair and makeup.
00:05:01
Speaker
And I was like, wow, this is so much fun.
00:05:03
Speaker
Like,
00:05:04
Speaker
The like exhilaration I felt being on set, I was like, I want this all the time.
00:05:11
Speaker
But you know, I didn't have the support.
00:05:13
Speaker
So I had to wait until I was old enough to make my own decisions and support myself, which is what I ended up doing.

Challenges and Self-Reliance in Acting

00:05:21
Speaker
What does support mean to you, since you say that?
00:05:24
Speaker
Because I can kind of relate, but I just want to understand so I'm not thinking it's something that it's not.
00:05:28
Speaker
When you say support.
00:05:30
Speaker
yeah well i guess support means is like something that someone else can do to help me reach my goal so i guess for my mom i mean she's not from here though so i can't even like i totally get like she's from nicaragua like what does she like she didn't know anything about tv and commercials and agents and how to like find an agent and all that stuff and so
00:05:50
Speaker
I guess she didn't know what to do.
00:05:52
Speaker
So I literally had to just figure everything out myself.
00:05:55
Speaker
And so when I thought I was going to go to school for broadcast journalism, like I was like, okay, I'll be in front of the camera and I'll interview people.
00:06:02
Speaker
Cause I just know I love being around people and talking.
00:06:04
Speaker
So I'm like, great, this is great.
00:06:05
Speaker
But I was like, I don't, I don't like, I don't, I'm like, I guess like I could do it, but it just didn't feel right.
00:06:12
Speaker
So I was like, okay, I'm going to go to LA and model.
00:06:14
Speaker
Cause like everyone's like, you're so pretty, you should model.
00:06:17
Speaker
And I was like, okay.
00:06:18
Speaker
And I get here and I was like,
00:06:20
Speaker
no this is not like modeling in la is different because in new york it's high fashion you know you're doing shoots and magazines and stuff and runway and there is some of that here in la but here in la a lot of it is e-com work which is really cool and great but that's what a lot of models do because it pays well and it's consistent like you're just every you know there's new clothes coming out every week so it's consistent work and i was just like i did a couple e-com shoots and i was like
00:06:50
Speaker
miserable.
00:06:51
Speaker
Like, did it pay?
00:06:53
Speaker
Well, I know some people make good money.
00:06:55
Speaker
They do.
00:06:55
Speaker
They pay.
00:06:56
Speaker
They pay really well, especially when you have a client and you're working two to three days, two to three days every week.
00:07:03
Speaker
It's a big paycheck.
00:07:05
Speaker
But I was like,
00:07:07
Speaker
I wasn't happy.
00:07:08
Speaker
Like you're in, you're changing like 150 times for eight hours.
00:07:12
Speaker
You're on your feet.
00:07:13
Speaker
And I just, it just didn't make me happy.
00:07:15
Speaker
And so I started doing commercials and I was like, yo, this is weird.

Commercial Work and Networking

00:07:21
Speaker
Like I just felt it's so fun because you go to work, you have a commercial shoot, you do one job and then you're onto the next.
00:07:30
Speaker
Yeah.
00:07:31
Speaker
Always it's refreshing.
00:07:33
Speaker
You're meeting new people, you're working with new people.
00:07:35
Speaker
And then sometimes you work with the same people.
00:07:37
Speaker
And it's just so fun to like, catch up with everyone and see where everyone's at and what they've been working on.
00:07:42
Speaker
And they're like, yo, I saw your commercial here.
00:07:44
Speaker
And I'm like, yo, I saw you.
00:07:45
Speaker
I was like, you know, it's just it's just fun.
00:07:48
Speaker
Since you said commercial, my neighbor loves you.
00:07:51
Speaker
Like she loves you.
00:07:53
Speaker
My name is Margaret, Miss Margaret.
00:07:55
Speaker
And she said, I saw Michelle the other day on a commercial.
00:07:57
Speaker
That girl be doing it.
00:07:59
Speaker
She works so hard.
00:08:00
Speaker
Can you just ask her?
00:08:01
Speaker
What are her goals?
00:08:02
Speaker
Like, what are her goals for, like, this year?
00:08:04
Speaker
I just, she inspires me.
00:08:06
Speaker
Like, you know, like, she's a big fan.
00:08:09
Speaker
Yeah, so she sounds like the sweetest lady.
00:08:15
Speaker
I need her in my life.
00:08:20
Speaker
She's so nice, but she knows you.
00:08:22
Speaker
She's seen you.
00:08:22
Speaker
She watches you.
00:08:23
Speaker
She follows you.
00:08:24
Speaker
So yeah, you never know who's watching, right?
00:08:28
Speaker
Yeah, literally.
00:08:29
Speaker
The commercials are fun, you know, you never know until you get here what LA is really about.
00:08:33
Speaker
You have your own intentions and perspective.
00:08:36
Speaker
And then you get here and you're like, that's not it.
00:08:38
Speaker
And when I got here, it was about, well, I don't want to do TV.
00:08:44
Speaker
I wanted to go to grad school.
00:08:45
Speaker
You know, TV kind of like chasing me this entire time.
00:08:49
Speaker
But then you get there and you figure out like, oh, it's about who you know, who knows you.
00:08:53
Speaker
You have to put in the work.
00:08:55
Speaker
And talking about work, where did that work ethic come from?
00:08:58
Speaker
Because I was actually in here watching like some of your stuff on YouTube.
00:09:02
Speaker
And I was watching like your photo shoots and your red carpets and you have so much swag and confidence.
00:09:06
Speaker
Like your confidence comes through the camera.
00:09:09
Speaker
Like, you know, your poses, you know, your angles, you just have it, you know, some people just have it.
00:09:14
Speaker
But for you, did your mom or dad instill work ethic in you?
00:09:18
Speaker
Like, where did you get that confidence side from?
00:09:21
Speaker
And when it comes to like approaching a job or acting, what is your mindset?
00:09:27
Speaker
Well, thank you for that.
00:09:28
Speaker
Honestly, um, I've worked really hard all my life to be honest.
00:09:32
Speaker
My mom was a single mom and my dad wasn't around, but I have found that that actually benefited benefited me.
00:09:40
Speaker
So everything that they did and didn't do like shaped me.
00:09:44
Speaker
And I'm actually so grateful.
00:09:45
Speaker
My dad and I have a great relationship now.
00:09:48
Speaker
I hope he's not watching as I'm like, no shade dad.

Mother's Influence and Work Ethic

00:09:50
Speaker
I love you.
00:09:51
Speaker
Um, but
00:09:52
Speaker
My mom was like, she was a single mom and all the money that she had, she was like, it goes to swimming lessons, gymnastics, karate, basketball, volleyball.
00:10:01
Speaker
So everything was invested in me and just making me well-rounded.
00:10:06
Speaker
So there was really no extra money to be like, oh, you want this and clothes.
00:10:12
Speaker
And, you know, I was always into fashion and style and I wanted the new shoes.
00:10:16
Speaker
At that time it was Jordan's.
00:10:17
Speaker
I had every single pair of Jordans that's ever existed.
00:10:20
Speaker
They're still at my mom's house.
00:10:22
Speaker
I need to sell those things.
00:10:24
Speaker
She put it on for you.
00:10:25
Speaker
That's what I love.
00:10:26
Speaker
So I started working, if we're being honest, like I was nine years old and I was going to the babysitters and I love kids.
00:10:35
Speaker
And I was just naturally so helpful with them.
00:10:38
Speaker
Like I always had a baby on my hip.
00:10:39
Speaker
I would change diapers.
00:10:41
Speaker
I would feed them.
00:10:43
Speaker
I would change them, whatever they needed.
00:10:45
Speaker
And so...
00:10:46
Speaker
The lady was like she would just start giving me $20 a week and with that $20 I would go to like buy my favorite CDs.
00:10:54
Speaker
I love music I would save up for like, you know, like some nice shoes that I liked or tops and I would just shop online so
00:11:04
Speaker
I just always worked and that was when I started buying my own things and then it just kept evolving as I got older.
00:11:10
Speaker
I worked at the YMCA as a junior camp counselor through summer.
00:11:15
Speaker
I was up at, no, I had to be there at 7am and I'd get off at 3.
00:11:21
Speaker
I worked through like Christmas holiday vacation.
00:11:24
Speaker
So I've just always had a job and I just always knew that if I wanted something, I had to get it because that's what

Family Aspirations and Communication Values

00:11:30
Speaker
it was.
00:11:30
Speaker
young you know you were babysitting so that's one of the questions that i have for you so do you think about having kids one day oh my gosh like i want three minimum three kids so yes i want girls two boys one girl two girls one boy i don't honestly like whatever god wants to give me i just want a healthy baby i do want one of each and then the third one is whatever whatever is meant for me yeah that's dope
00:11:55
Speaker
so how has your mom you know being a single mom inspired you in your not only your profession but just as a woman what did you learn from your mom growing up that the challenges and the things she overcame to raise you and um you know yeah raise you and be a mom
00:12:11
Speaker
I think there's a couple of things.
00:12:12
Speaker
And one is just being self-sufficient.
00:12:15
Speaker
Like, I want to be married.
00:12:18
Speaker
Like, my parents aren't married, but I want to be, like, married.
00:12:20
Speaker
That's one thing that I realized.
00:12:22
Speaker
Because I know when you and I met, I was in a long-term relationship.
00:12:24
Speaker
And at that time, I didn't think I wanted to get married.
00:12:27
Speaker
But, like, now I'm so sure that I want to get married before I have my kids.
00:12:33
Speaker
And I've understood, watching my parents, the importance of communication.
00:12:39
Speaker
and trust and just calmly talking through things because Latinas we get super passionate and we'll just like we'll just tell somebody what it is but I've really learned to communicate think thoroughly and always be honest because then I can actually build a trusting lasting strong foundation
00:13:00
Speaker
So I've definitely learned that.
00:13:02
Speaker
And just, you know what?
00:13:03
Speaker
It doesn't matter with my husband, whatever.
00:13:06
Speaker
Like I always need to look to God for, he's my source of everything.
00:13:11
Speaker
Happiness, peace, money, the next job.
00:13:14
Speaker
Like I need to look to God.
00:13:15
Speaker
I can't look to a guy.
00:13:16
Speaker
I can't look to my agent.
00:13:18
Speaker
I can't look to anyone else but me and God.
00:13:21
Speaker
So that way, regardless of how someone else is acting, it doesn't matter because I'm not looking to you to fulfill me in any way.
00:13:29
Speaker
so you go what you're going through i'm going to help you but regardless i'm going to talk to god about everything and that's it yeah you're not living off

Honesty in Relationships

00:13:37
Speaker
the flesh you're not letting the flesh move or maneuver how you think be or right it's the survivor thrive in this world which is really good it's a great point um
00:13:46
Speaker
You talked about being honest.
00:13:47
Speaker
Was there something that was always within you?
00:13:49
Speaker
Because one of my pet peeves in a relationship, partnership, friendship is honesty.
00:13:54
Speaker
I cannot stand someone who lies.
00:13:56
Speaker
That bothers me.
00:13:57
Speaker
And I know why.
00:13:58
Speaker
I come from my childhood when I was young.
00:14:00
Speaker
You know, the person I looked up to or wanted things from.
00:14:02
Speaker
Not that they didn't.
00:14:03
Speaker
They lied to me.
00:14:04
Speaker
It's just they didn't fulfill the purpose I thought they would based on what they told me.
00:14:08
Speaker
So I'd rather a person just say, look,
00:14:11
Speaker
be honest, be open, even if you think it's going to hurt me.
00:14:14
Speaker
So for you, where did honesty play a role in your life?
00:14:19
Speaker
Well, I guess it's, I don't know if maybe honesty is the right word, but I know for me, I'm just like,
00:14:24
Speaker
don't volunteer something or don't say you're going to do something and then not do it because i especially because i'm not the type to ask for help so if you volunteer like hey like i could totally help you with that and i'm like why would you volunteer if i didn't even ask you and then now now i come to you and ask and now you can't do something it's like what are we talking about why would you offer something that you can't fulfill like that i'm i like that i still don't understand that so
00:14:52
Speaker
I feel that.
00:14:53
Speaker
Yes.
00:14:53
Speaker
I'm just like, if you do something, like, but let's do it and let's figure it out.
00:14:57
Speaker
If not, like, I'm going to have to figure it out myself.
00:15:00
Speaker
Like I was before you even opened your mouth.
00:15:02
Speaker
So it's just like, oh, it's like a waste of time, I guess.
00:15:05
Speaker
Like, don't waste my time.
00:15:06
Speaker
I think that's the biggest thing.
00:15:08
Speaker
Don't waste my time.
00:15:09
Speaker
Like, we literally have one life and I'm like, everything.
00:15:12
Speaker
Yeah.
00:15:12
Speaker
I'm like, I don't want to waste my time.
00:15:14
Speaker
So, I mean, you're extremely attractive.
00:15:17
Speaker
I'm pretty sure you get hit on a lot.
00:15:18
Speaker
Do you think guys feel like they have the light of you to please you or impress you or to feel like to get your attention?
00:15:24
Speaker
Like, what has been your past when it comes to one of the questions is, you know, being a public figure like you are, being an influencer, having a lot of followers, how is dating?
00:15:34
Speaker
Does it impact your dating life?
00:15:35
Speaker
Are you dating someone?
00:15:36
Speaker
Like, how has that been for you your whole time here in L.A.?
00:15:40
Speaker
I'll talk to you later.
00:15:43
Speaker
I think for me, what I've learned just like over the years, like I feel like I just want to be like, just be honest about your intentions.
00:15:56
Speaker
You know, like if your intention is like, I think you're pretty and I just want to, you know, have sex or whatever, get intimate, you should just say that because you probably have a better chance of just saying that than like throwing me through this like loopy loop of like, hold on, we got to pause, hold on.
00:16:11
Speaker
Please, can you pretty, pretty please say that again?
00:16:16
Speaker
Because I think it's the same way for women, for men.
00:16:19
Speaker
And it's all right.
00:16:20
Speaker
Can you please reiterate that?
00:16:22
Speaker
I think that's very important.
00:16:23
Speaker
No, I'm just like, I honestly like just be honest about your intentions.
00:16:27
Speaker
If your intentions is just be like, look, I don't even want a relationship.
00:16:30
Speaker
I just think you're hot.
00:16:31
Speaker
So like, what's up?
00:16:33
Speaker
yeah like i would respect i mean i'm not gonna do it because that's just not who i am but i respect that because i'm like yo you didn't waste any time you're not faking it like don't fake it now anything you say i'll believe it because i'm like if you could tell me that so honestly then i know then you can tell me other little things and i'm like oh i could like i actually believe what you're saying that's like the thing
00:16:57
Speaker
yeah there's like so much power in being like yo i respect like i don't like it that's not me you know i might be like yo why did you approach me because that's not who i am on my page and that's just not what i advertise but i'm like i respect you because you keep it real and i'm like cool like that's what's up and i'm like you don't have to tell me that you want to marry me and you love me and you like i'm not
00:17:24
Speaker
bro.
00:17:25
Speaker
I'm like, that's just stupid.
00:17:27
Speaker
So when it comes to, since we're on this topic, when it comes to dating or, you know, significant other, what do you look for in a man?

Dating Intentions and Goals

00:17:35
Speaker
I think it's like goals, because I'm dating to get married.
00:17:38
Speaker
So like, that's like one thing.
00:17:39
Speaker
Like, I don't date just to like, keep my time busy.
00:17:44
Speaker
I don't need that.
00:17:45
Speaker
I know a lot of people, and I get it.
00:17:47
Speaker
Like, trust me, it's nice to have somebody there.
00:17:50
Speaker
But for me, I'm like, why do I want someone there that I'm not
00:17:53
Speaker
interested long term.
00:17:54
Speaker
Doesn't make sense.
00:17:55
Speaker
Yeah.
00:17:56
Speaker
So if I'm dating you, it's because I like you and I see potential.
00:18:00
Speaker
And I think it's like goals.
00:18:01
Speaker
Like, do you want to get married?
00:18:03
Speaker
Because I want to get married.
00:18:04
Speaker
Do you want kids?
00:18:05
Speaker
Because I want three minimum.
00:18:10
Speaker
I'm just like, this is what it is, bro.
00:18:11
Speaker
If you don't like it, then like, let's not even waste each other's time.
00:18:16
Speaker
And I'm just like, I'm just honest.
00:18:18
Speaker
I'm like, what are your goals?
00:18:19
Speaker
Like, you know, I want to like invest in businesses and that these are my goals and I want to start this business.
00:18:25
Speaker
Do you believe in me?
00:18:26
Speaker
If you don't believe in me.
00:18:27
Speaker
Hold on.
00:18:28
Speaker
Hold on.
00:18:28
Speaker
Hold on.
00:18:30
Speaker
Oh, say that again.
00:18:32
Speaker
Hey, fellas, you got to listen to what you're saying.
00:18:35
Speaker
You can have a woman, but do you believe in her?
00:18:37
Speaker
Do you believe in her?
00:18:38
Speaker
Yes.
00:18:39
Speaker
Actually, like, I, like, my ideas are crazy.
00:18:43
Speaker
But if you think they're crazy enough and you want to do them with me, then that's a real one.
00:18:48
Speaker
But I don't want a guy that's like, oh, she's so gorgeous, doesn't respect what I say, doesn't see my intelligence.
00:18:54
Speaker
I want that.
00:18:55
Speaker
I want someone that knows I'm intelligent, that thinks my crazy ideas are possible.
00:19:00
Speaker
You know what I mean?
00:19:01
Speaker
Like that's supposed to be your partner, someone that's like, yo, like my girl, like I'm in trouble about to call my girl because she's going to know what to do.

Supportive Partnerships and Ideas

00:19:09
Speaker
You know what I mean?
00:19:09
Speaker
Like I respect her so much.
00:19:12
Speaker
Yeah.
00:19:14
Speaker
Yeah.
00:19:15
Speaker
So in your past dating experiences, have you dealt with guys who have been very insecure or intimidated by your presence or what you can do?
00:19:23
Speaker
Have you had guys like try to belittle you or make you feel like you wasn't good enough?
00:19:27
Speaker
Did you deal with that in any part of your life?
00:19:29
Speaker
um yeah i mean i didn't see it that way like i never thought that somebody would be insecure because i i've dated guys that are in the public eye and you know are some are athletes and whatnot so i would never think that they're insecure but yeah when they can't be honest or like don't handle confrontation i don't know why like some guys seem to like not want to talk things out for whatever reason and
00:19:56
Speaker
I'm like, why?
00:19:57
Speaker
I don't get it.
00:19:59
Speaker
Or think that I'm out doing something or that just because some people may think I'm pretty that I'm not going to be loyal or faithful or whatnot.
00:20:10
Speaker
I'm just like, I don't waste my time, dude.
00:20:15
Speaker
If I'm investing it with you, I don't even care about anybody else.
00:20:18
Speaker
That's the honest truth.
00:20:20
Speaker
I really don't.
00:20:21
Speaker
I want to build with someone.

Dealing with Insecurity and Self-Sufficiency

00:20:24
Speaker
Yeah, I don't know.
00:20:25
Speaker
I mean, I guess you can call it insecurity.
00:20:27
Speaker
But I honestly don't get offended by it, because the way someone treats me is a reflection of them.
00:20:33
Speaker
And I'm like, you could treat me.
00:20:35
Speaker
And I'm so nice and sweet.
00:20:37
Speaker
And I will support you.
00:20:38
Speaker
And I will ride with you.
00:20:38
Speaker
And that goes for anything, any relationship, friendship, dating, business.
00:20:45
Speaker
I will ride with you.
00:20:47
Speaker
I will do whatever I can to help you.
00:20:49
Speaker
And if you take advantage of me or you try to manipulate me,
00:20:53
Speaker
i i feel bad because i'm like dang what have you been through because that's just a reflection of pain and i'm like there is good in the world and you don't need to treat people that way and you need to let go of that in your life because i used to have a lot of unforgiveness in my heart when i was in high school with my dad like i didn't get why my dad didn't want to hang out with me i didn't get why he wasn't around but now that i'm older i'm like it's not that he didn't love me it's just he didn't know how to handle his time and he had other things going on that like
00:21:20
Speaker
blocked him from being able to build that relationship with me.
00:21:23
Speaker
And I'm like, dude, just because you're my dad doesn't mean anything.
00:21:26
Speaker
You don't owe me anything.
00:21:28
Speaker
Nothing at all.
00:21:29
Speaker
Just because you're my dad does not mean anything at all.
00:21:31
Speaker
I need to survive for myself.
00:21:33
Speaker
So, you know, once I see it that way, like, I'm not offended, literally.
00:21:38
Speaker
I'm like, I don't care.
00:21:39
Speaker
And you seem just very independent and you know what you want and you own what you want.
00:21:43
Speaker
And I just feel like you have this confidence that no matter what, you're going to win and get where you got to go.
00:21:49
Speaker
And I think that's beautiful, but also it's I can't say it's red, but I think it's dope to see that in a woman and like express that all the way through and be open and honest.
00:21:59
Speaker
Even times like when I ask like, hey, Michelle, you're available.
00:22:01
Speaker
You'll be strictly honest.
00:22:03
Speaker
I'm sorry, not today.
00:22:05
Speaker
I have a shoot or I have to be on set.
00:22:07
Speaker
But it's not even that you're being honest.
00:22:09
Speaker
It's how you communicate your honesty.
00:22:12
Speaker
like the words you use and your choice of words, your diction.
00:22:14
Speaker
And I'm like, like, you make a person understand like you really would do it if you were available.
00:22:21
Speaker
I think sometimes, you know, when people communicate it like, oh, I'm not available.
00:22:24
Speaker
Like, you're not available, you'll make it make sense to someone to kind of respect it.
00:22:28
Speaker
Like, man, thanks for telling me that, you know, I appreciate it.
00:22:31
Speaker
It's so funny to make you say that because, well, one, thank you

Communication and Honesty in Interactions

00:22:34
Speaker
for your words.
00:22:34
Speaker
I'm like, it's been a journey.
00:22:35
Speaker
It hasn't always been where I'm just so, like, up front and honest because I just didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
00:22:42
Speaker
And also sometimes I'm like, do I need to explain it?
00:22:45
Speaker
Like, I know.
00:22:46
Speaker
So it's good to hear your perspective because sometimes I'm like, yo, I don't need to explain anything.
00:22:51
Speaker
I just can't do it and that's what it is.
00:22:52
Speaker
But...
00:22:53
Speaker
know I never want to make anyone feel better.
00:22:55
Speaker
Yeah the way you deliver it there's no more questions no one like you leave no room for errors like oh I get it so no one can even wonder like is she lying or is she like no you make it really clear.
00:23:05
Speaker
Yeah go on to some of these questions that came from my DM I have a segment uh session in the talk where it's rapid fire so I'm gonna say a name two names at a time you just tell me what works best for you.
00:23:19
Speaker
Okay like what do you mean give me an example.
00:23:21
Speaker
So if I was saying green or blue, and you'd be like, blue.
00:23:25
Speaker
Okay, okay, yeah, go.
00:23:28
Speaker
Are you ready?
00:23:29
Speaker
Yeah.
00:23:30
Speaker
All right, so acting on a hit TV show or acting in a big movie?
00:23:36
Speaker
TV show.
00:23:38
Speaker
Cooking or eating out?
00:23:41
Speaker
Eating out.
00:23:42
Speaker
For sure I don't cook.
00:23:43
Speaker
Look, I was watching a clip on some cooking stuff on YouTube, like, man, maybe she cooks a lot.
00:23:49
Speaker
No, my whole show is about not being able to cook.
00:23:52
Speaker
Next question, reading or audio book?
00:23:54
Speaker
Reading.
00:24:01
Speaker
Calling or FaceTime?
00:24:02
Speaker
FaceTime.
00:24:04
Speaker
Oh, okay.
00:24:04
Speaker
See, I thought you would have done that.
00:24:06
Speaker
What's more attractive than a man, his arms or his legs?
00:24:10
Speaker
Arms.
00:24:11
Speaker
I want to feel like you've got me.
00:24:13
Speaker
Like, protect me.
00:24:14
Speaker
Like, that is your job as a man is to protect me.
00:24:16
Speaker
And I'm tall.
00:24:17
Speaker
I'm 5'8".
00:24:18
Speaker
So, I always, like, want, like, a big dude because I'm, like, I want to feel, like, dainty and, like, safe.
00:24:25
Speaker
Safe.
00:24:26
Speaker
Like that.
00:24:26
Speaker
Last one, group training or personal trainer?
00:24:31
Speaker
That just depends.
00:24:32
Speaker
I like personal though.
00:24:33
Speaker
If I had to choose, I want that one-on-one, tell me what I need and I will do it and let's go.
00:24:39
Speaker
Got it.
00:24:40
Speaker
All right.
00:24:40
Speaker
So now we got that out the way.
00:24:42
Speaker
Let's move along.
00:24:43
Speaker
Let's talk about TV.
00:24:44
Speaker
Let's talk about movies and things you've been in.
00:24:46
Speaker
So I've done a little research.
00:24:47
Speaker
I know you was in a BET show called Tales.
00:24:50
Speaker
Yeah.
00:24:51
Speaker
hit series all-american that's one that plays on cw or was on cw i know it's on netflix as well uh you also was in ride along too i didn't know that i didn't know i had a small role i honestly haven't even seen it so i can't even speak on it and ballers i've seen you was in ballers so when you're getting these gigs and when you like what like what's your approach when you get a project or how do you go about of course you have to audition
00:25:17
Speaker
But when you first get the audition and you get the script, because I feel like remembering lines and acting like for me, because I don't see myself as an actor, is a challenge, right?
00:25:27
Speaker
I'm more improv.
00:25:29
Speaker
You tell me the idea, I can act it out, I can, you know.
00:25:32
Speaker
So for you, what's your process, plan for a role, and how do you approach your character?

Role Preparation and Character Analysis

00:25:39
Speaker
Well, there's a couple of things that I love to do.
00:25:42
Speaker
I love to just read the script over and over, or just my sides.
00:25:47
Speaker
Like I will just read them over and over and over.
00:25:50
Speaker
And as I'm reading it, I'm thinking about what Michelle would do in that situation.
00:25:56
Speaker
And I'm like, how does it make sense for me to respond with these words?
00:26:00
Speaker
Like what mood am I in?
00:26:04
Speaker
Wow, how does Michelle respond with these words?
00:26:08
Speaker
That's deep.
00:26:09
Speaker
That's like analytical.
00:26:10
Speaker
Hold on.
00:26:10
Speaker
What's your sound?
00:26:11
Speaker
You must be a Virgo.
00:26:16
Speaker
Yeah, like I just want to know, like, how does this make sense?
00:26:18
Speaker
Like, would I naturally respond that way if I was in that mood and you caught me at the wrong moment?
00:26:24
Speaker
And I might just tell you how it is.
00:26:26
Speaker
Yeah, I might use those words.
00:26:28
Speaker
And then I just kind of get in that rhythm and flow.
00:26:30
Speaker
And then
00:26:32
Speaker
my character i'm like okay so like let's just say i am a character that's like angry and like short-tempered i'm like what brought me to that point and that's also really helped me in real life oh in real life like understanding like anyone in general i'm like when you meet someone and they're just angry i'm like dang like what brought you to that point like how did you grow up that's good because i had a commercial gig where it was a scary movie
00:27:00
Speaker
and I had to be scared like right like like be afraid but I was in my mind I'm like what am I afraid of like what like scary movies don't scare me I laugh at them really yeah like it was so odd so I was trying to like make this I'm afraid but I'm like what does my face look like being afraid so it was interesting that you said that wow um by the way that we talk about fear what fears do you have do you have any
00:27:26
Speaker
that just pops out of your head right away?

Facing Fears and Personal Growth

00:27:30
Speaker
I don't even like to say that I'm scared of something because I don't want to get that power.
00:27:35
Speaker
I'm like, I'm not.
00:27:36
Speaker
I can find things that are challenging.
00:27:38
Speaker
Okay.
00:27:39
Speaker
Change the language, I like that.
00:27:41
Speaker
Yeah.
00:27:42
Speaker
But like, I really want to go, like, I mean, I want to go skydiving because I feel like there's a hold there.
00:27:50
Speaker
And I'm like, anything that, quote unquote, scares me, that means I just need to get over it.
00:27:55
Speaker
Like, I need to face it head on so that it doesn't have that hold.
00:28:00
Speaker
That's how it was for me swimming last year.
00:28:02
Speaker
I saw on your stories, you were like really spooked.
00:28:07
Speaker
I was spooked.
00:28:08
Speaker
I was like, whoa, this is different.
00:28:10
Speaker
But it was a fear since I've been a child.
00:28:12
Speaker
So that was... Did you never go swimming or what?
00:28:16
Speaker
No, I mean, you grew up in the inner city.
00:28:18
Speaker
You just play basketball and football.
00:28:20
Speaker
And even you don't swim, we don't swim.
00:28:22
Speaker
We just, we play outside.
00:28:24
Speaker
So it wasn't like normal.
00:28:26
Speaker
There's like no swimming lessons?
00:28:29
Speaker
Not when you're in the inner city, no, no, no, no.
00:28:31
Speaker
Say that again.
00:28:34
Speaker
Where is this?
00:28:35
Speaker
Where'd you go up?
00:28:36
Speaker
Baltimore.
00:28:38
Speaker
So you ever seen The Wire?
00:28:39
Speaker
So just think of that.
00:28:40
Speaker
Like it was different.
00:28:43
Speaker
I can't say people because we did have park pool in the summer where most, you know, kids will go.
00:28:48
Speaker
But swimming lessons wasn't like a time.
00:28:49
Speaker
We had basketball practice, football practice, try to play baseball.
00:28:53
Speaker
So it was always a fear and a neglect because I didn't know what I didn't know.
00:28:58
Speaker
And I could swim, that's the thing, but I couldn't swim.
00:29:00
Speaker
Does that make sense?
00:29:01
Speaker
I can do the little stroke and you know all those things but when you keep in oh your boy's like yo hey my food uh yeah this way this is not fulfilling but being in the water uh last summer shouts out to Zachary I actually got to give back because I feel like I'm only 60 percent good the way you know I think I need to be better but
00:29:27
Speaker
being in the water allowed me to learn how to be patient, right?
00:29:31
Speaker
Because I just want to get it done, like right away, right, right away.
00:29:35
Speaker
Be patient and to realize that it's okay, make a mistake and you fucked up today and the water won again and it's okay.
00:29:43
Speaker
You don't have to beat yourself up.
00:29:45
Speaker
Because I was hard on myself.
00:29:48
Speaker
And it just allowed me to have patience and also have compassion for people when they're afraid of something, like they're afraid to go after their dreams, afraid to leave a relationship, afraid to leave a job, afraid to move out of their state.
00:30:01
Speaker
Because that was the first time in my life I really felt fear.
00:30:05
Speaker
Like my instructor was like, you're going to jump.
00:30:08
Speaker
in the water like right now.
00:30:09
Speaker
I was like, what?
00:30:10
Speaker
Like, but the deep end, this was like probably like week 10 or swimming lesson 10, right?
00:30:15
Speaker
I just get in the deep end.
00:30:18
Speaker
And the fear that came over my body, I felt like my body was shutting down.
00:30:21
Speaker
It would literally like paralyze you.
00:30:23
Speaker
Yeah, like in that moment, that was the first time ever in my life that I can actually remember feeling that way.
00:30:29
Speaker
And I was like, I get it now.
00:30:31
Speaker
And I understand why people get afraid.
00:30:33
Speaker
I get it.
00:30:34
Speaker
And then when I jumped in, he's like, look, you're going to jump.
00:30:36
Speaker
It was only eight feet.
00:30:37
Speaker
You're going to jump in.
00:30:37
Speaker
You're going to go right back up.
00:30:38
Speaker
I'm like, you sure?
00:30:40
Speaker
Jumped in.
00:30:41
Speaker
I came back up.
00:30:42
Speaker
But it was just like, I was just so locked into that fear.
00:30:46
Speaker
And it shook me up.
00:30:47
Speaker
But over time, I got better.
00:30:48
Speaker
I was like, oh, we jumped in deep in again.
00:30:50
Speaker
So embracing your fears, I think is so important and beneficial to life and all things.
00:30:55
Speaker
So we would love to see you when Michelle goes skydiving.
00:31:01
Speaker
I just have to get it done, honestly, or make time for it.
00:31:05
Speaker
I've been on your story and see a lot of people get some people in here talking about All American.
00:31:10
Speaker
I feel like you was you was the girl on All American.
00:31:12
Speaker
I'm trying to figure out did they write you out the script?
00:31:15
Speaker
Like you should be back on the show like what is it was any producers or a casting director?
00:31:22
Speaker
Can you what's going on with All American because everyone loves you on there.
00:31:25
Speaker
I know honestly everyone like thank you guys because
00:31:31
Speaker
I feel like when quarantine happened, I was just getting so many DMs about it.
00:31:35
Speaker
And I was just like, oh, it's so cool that my character connected with you guys.
00:31:40
Speaker
Because that's literally what I would want every character that I play to do.
00:31:45
Speaker
Like, connect with people and have people wanting more of her.
00:31:49
Speaker
Especially because she wasn't...
00:31:51
Speaker
like that's what i loved about her she wasn't super friendly but she wasn't mean she just didn't want to like cater to people she didn't feel like she had to go out of her way to be nice to make friends you know she just was who she was and she was chill and she was cool and she did what she wanted to do and either you rocked with her you didn't and i'm like that's so cool that people want her back so i mean i'm not written out
00:32:15
Speaker
I didn't film for season three, but I mean, I feel like if enough people want her in season four, anything's possible.
00:32:22
Speaker
Yeah, let's get it.
00:32:23
Speaker
Hey, someone got a poll, we got a petition, let's get you back.
00:32:26
Speaker
Let's get Ripley back on All-American.
00:32:28
Speaker
Yeah, let's go.
00:32:30
Speaker
Yeah, that's dope.
00:32:32
Speaker
So out of all the stuff you've done, you know, from commercials to TV to, you know, maybe some movies, what has been your most fun experience that you can say?

Impactful Acting Experiences

00:32:41
Speaker
Was it All-American?
00:32:44
Speaker
it was until and it still is because of the impact that my characters had okay like that for me is such an accomplishment yeah and also working for mr perry which oh okay i remember you worked at did you do the show to oval oh yeah okay yeah right premieres next month oh there we go let's get it i'm like
00:33:11
Speaker
super excited about that just like getting to work with Tyler Perry being on his like being at the studio working through a pandemic I Will be able to look back and be like I was one of the only people working through a pandemic and not only was I working I was working with mr. Perry yeah, and I think that is it is literally was one of the most amazing experiences of my life like
00:33:36
Speaker
being on set living on set working with everyone working beside him i was just like oh my gosh like mr
00:33:46
Speaker
yeah there's someone like that recognizes you and that's funny one of the questions was how has cove impacted your work or your sponsorships or deals like that has it has it not or has it improved i don't know i mean definitely at the beginning of covid yeah i mean like everything was at a standstill like legit everything i didn't have anything going on i was freaking out like i the first day with nla they like closed down like all the bars and things and i was like that's okay like
00:34:14
Speaker
I'm just going to go to the gym twice a day.
00:34:16
Speaker
Like, I'm good.
00:34:17
Speaker
I'm going to figure this out.
00:34:18
Speaker
And then they were like, oh, by the way, all gyms are closed.
00:34:20
Speaker
And for some reason that literally broke me down.
00:34:23
Speaker
Like I just sat on the couch and I just started bawling, crying because I'm like, what am I going to do?
00:34:29
Speaker
I can't work.
00:34:30
Speaker
And now the gym is, you know, a place that I can go and physically, mentally,
00:34:37
Speaker
grow like you know help my mind out and I I cried I literally cried for like two days and I could barely get off the couch I was so devastated I didn't know what I was gonna do and thankfully I found my love for dance again and I don't know if I do guys yeah so I literally got on to talk with my best friend and
00:35:02
Speaker
I started doing that and I started just like, yeah, we were just like so happy.

Brand Partnerships and Authenticity

00:35:08
Speaker
And then literally, you know, some people make fun of us, but I'm like, I got so many brand deals off TikTok and I got to connect with people and brand deals.
00:35:19
Speaker
Yes, they're a source of income.
00:35:20
Speaker
So I hope no one like looks down upon them.
00:35:23
Speaker
but i work with brands that are like organic and eco-friendly and cruelty free and brands that i use in my everyday life and now i get to do a partnership with them it's so cool and i get to introduce these brands to you guys and spread you know spread awareness about the brand and the good that they're doing so i feel so blessed
00:35:45
Speaker
All the brands out there that allow us to support them and they support us, trust me.
00:35:50
Speaker
Right?
00:35:51
Speaker
It's such a cool thing.
00:35:53
Speaker
Like, yes, it's a way of money, but it's honestly the way of the future now is, I think, influential.
00:36:00
Speaker
Virtual.
00:36:01
Speaker
And I just think, honestly, I think it's cool when a brand connects to who you really are opposed to how they see you.
00:36:07
Speaker
You know, because when it's in alignment with your persona, your personality, your look, your vibe, it just fit.
00:36:14
Speaker
Like, you don't have to think, you can just do.
00:36:16
Speaker
And I think it's been amazing.
00:36:19
Speaker
It's been amazing for me as well for you, I can tell.
00:36:21
Speaker
And that's what I wanted to talk about.
00:36:22
Speaker
That was one of the questions is, as an influencer or creating content and you get a gig like a TikTok or Instagram, how do you plan and what, how do you plan what you're going to do?
00:36:34
Speaker
I was just telling a friend earlier, I was like, people look at,
00:36:37
Speaker
you know people in opposition that post photos with brands like they think it's just simple you put on clothes and you just go like no but you got to think of the caption you got to think of the angle the lighting um what you're going to wear how you're going to wear it where you're going to shoot it at like it's so much that goes into it
00:36:55
Speaker
people because they don't know so for you when you get a deal or gig like what is your mindset approaching like because you know everyone sends deliverables and then some companies they just want to see what you can create and then they'll give you feedback after that so what is what is it like for you
00:37:14
Speaker
For me, the most important thing is I want whatever I create for the brand to look super authentic.
00:37:20
Speaker
Like I almost want it to look like it's not even a partnership.
00:37:24
Speaker
I want it to look like, hey, this is me actually using it.
00:37:26
Speaker
So I'm just like, all right, so this is me.
00:37:29
Speaker
just using this product or eating this bar or whatever i'm like where would i naturally do it am i doing it at home am i like at the gym am i with my friends um what's the environment that i would actually consume this product and what would i be wearing in that environment and just make it look really natural even though it you know the lighting takes such a importance um
00:37:55
Speaker
No, I'm like, no, no, no, no.
00:37:56
Speaker
I'm like, the lighting's not right.
00:37:59
Speaker
The lighting is everything.
00:38:00
Speaker
That's literally the most important thing to me in a photo or a video, lighting.
00:38:04
Speaker
Yeah, that's, I mean, that's amazing.
00:38:07
Speaker
I also wanted to talk, like, you know, so you got dancing, you've done TV stuff, you got Instagram, influencing, TikTok.

Passion for Inspiring and Helping Others

00:38:18
Speaker
But, like, what is Michelle mostly passionate about?
00:38:22
Speaker
Like, what, you know, you say you want kids, like, but what, like, what are you really passionate about?
00:38:28
Speaker
I don't really, I don't think maybe your followers know, maybe people here know, but I don't really know.
00:38:32
Speaker
When I look at you, it's like, she's a brand, she's amazing, she's authentic, she speaks well, she looks well.
00:38:38
Speaker
But, you know, like you said before, a lot of times people can look at you but not really understand you and just think you're just this person who has a beautiful look, who looks nice and do nice things, but it's so much more than what we see.
00:38:51
Speaker
So what are you really passionate about?
00:38:55
Speaker
I think for me is I want to help people.
00:38:59
Speaker
Like I want to re I want me to like reach globally, but not because I like, yes, of course I make a living from it, but it's more like, how can I inspire someone else?
00:39:11
Speaker
How can I show someone what, you know, what I've been through and the choices that I've made and how I followed my dreams?
00:39:19
Speaker
How does that help other people?
00:39:21
Speaker
You know, and I always want to do that.
00:39:23
Speaker
Like,
00:39:24
Speaker
I just feel like we all need to see someone and connect with someone and just visually person.
00:39:32
Speaker
Yeah.
00:39:32
Speaker
Like you want to just visually have this person where you're like, man, like,
00:39:38
Speaker
I feel like she supports me, you know?
00:39:40
Speaker
Like, I remember being growing up and like looking at all these girls on TV that are like so gorgeous and like have it all together.
00:39:47
Speaker
And I'm like, how do they get to that point?
00:39:49
Speaker
Like, I don't know.
00:39:51
Speaker
Like, how do they do it?
00:39:53
Speaker
Like, how do you get there?
00:39:54
Speaker
And so,
00:39:56
Speaker
I try to be as open as possible and I'm definitely working on that and I want to be more open, but that's just it.
00:40:02
Speaker
Like, I just want to help people.
00:40:03
Speaker
I want to connect with people.
00:40:04
Speaker
Like I just want to learn.
00:40:05
Speaker
I just feel like everyone has something that I can learn and incorporate in my own life.
00:40:10
Speaker
So I always want to meet people and talk.
00:40:12
Speaker
And like when I travel, that's why I love traveling.
00:40:15
Speaker
Cause I get to meet people around the world and it changes my perspective and it widens my knowledge about people.
00:40:22
Speaker
And you know, I can,
00:40:24
Speaker
incorporate those things into my brand and my life so i just love connecting with people learning about them and then how can we help each other that's what i'm most passionate about how do we connect and how do we grow like that someone just asked um who's a role model of yours like hmm that's a good one i mean i know like
00:40:53
Speaker
trying to think of someone that I've seen.
00:41:04
Speaker
Yeah, I feel like it changes a lot.
00:41:09
Speaker
But I really like Jennifer Lopez.
00:41:12
Speaker
AJ Lo.
00:41:13
Speaker
Yeah.
00:41:15
Speaker
And one of the things I like about her is she never stops.
00:41:19
Speaker
Same with Mr. Perry.
00:41:21
Speaker
Like, Mr. Perry, I think, just became a billionaire shortly after we shot the show.
00:41:26
Speaker
and he doesn't stop like the amount of money that they both have doesn't stop them from creating and i love that because they're detached from the money and they're just doing what they love and that to me i'm like that's crazy like it's not about the money at the end of the day it's just about being able to create and do what you love and have it impact people positively so that that's what i want to do
00:41:53
Speaker
I'm like, that's the goal.

Creative Process and Content Creation

00:41:55
Speaker
Yes, I want to be successful and prosperous, but it's more about just creating.
00:42:02
Speaker
It's a never ending job.
00:42:03
Speaker
Yeah, you got to create content and you got to always make money if you always want to live a certain way, right?
00:42:08
Speaker
Yeah.
00:42:08
Speaker
Period.
00:42:12
Speaker
your photos are very impactful and they say uh how many photo shoots do you have a week is that planned out how does that happen in life you're so good at taking photos thank you well yes they are planned out a lot of thought does go into them um but that's because i love doing it like even i was just talking about this my best friend liberty i'm like even like we go on vacation and we have to like create content and pump it out
00:42:35
Speaker
I'm like, man, I can't wait till we have a photographer that comes with us and they can edit the photos.
00:42:40
Speaker
But like, even if we were on a vacation and we didn't have to, didn't have to create content, we would still be creating content because we love to take pictures and we love to dance and make TikToks and our reels and everything.
00:42:51
Speaker
So,
00:42:52
Speaker
I just want everything to look good.
00:42:54
Speaker
And like, I want to put, I want people to be able to look at it and be like, okay, work goes into that.
00:43:00
Speaker
And you want to look at it aesthetically.
00:43:01
Speaker
And yeah, I plan out my outfits.
00:43:05
Speaker
But other than that, it's kind of casual.
00:43:07
Speaker
Like, you know, I like the pictures that don't look like I'm posing.
00:43:12
Speaker
I like the pictures just look like.
00:43:14
Speaker
Photos are like fire emojis all the time.
00:43:17
Speaker
Thank you.
00:43:19
Speaker
Well, you know, Caesar.
00:43:20
Speaker
Yeah, he's good.
00:43:23
Speaker
But yeah, you know, I think it's an art.
00:43:25
Speaker
Things that seem general or simple to many of us sometimes look at it as easy.
00:43:32
Speaker
Like people don't understand.
00:43:34
Speaker
Listen, in my experience, photo shoots are hard.
00:43:39
Speaker
Like women mask the red carpet.
00:43:41
Speaker
Like me on the red carpet, I'm like, I don't know what to give you.
00:43:47
Speaker
You know, women just know how to boom.
00:43:49
Speaker
boom, boom, boom, you know, so that's actually an art.
00:43:53
Speaker
Like that's hard.
00:43:54
Speaker
That's because you have to be in it.
00:43:56
Speaker
You got to be in flow.
00:43:57
Speaker
You got to have the rhythm.
00:43:58
Speaker
You got to swag.
00:43:59
Speaker
You got to know you.
00:44:01
Speaker
So when I see your photos, you look like a model who's been booked by Wilhelmina or IMG or I don't know.
00:44:09
Speaker
You just have that.
00:44:10
Speaker
You know what you want in your photo.
00:44:13
Speaker
So I just think that's something
00:44:17
Speaker
someone probably can learn one day from me because that's oh you know taking fun taking photos for me is never easy i know how to smile you know so um yeah so one last question if anyone don't have anything else so the question gotta go soon so yes uh what's working for you right now and what's a challenge
00:44:43
Speaker
okay it is this like work-related or anything just in general um what's working for me as just trusting what feels right for me there's like a lot of new projects that I'm taking on and a lot of my friends haven't done it yet which has just forced me to rely on myself and my instinct which I think is great because I think that'll help build my confidence and
00:45:10
Speaker
that's what I've learned really that works for me and I look back and I'm like that's really works for me all my career I've done what I thought was right if that was the case I probably wouldn't be living in LA I don't know what but it felt right to come to LA it's always something that I wanted to do so it just feels right to take on these projects like my website launches on Monday and it's a subscription-based website so
00:45:38
Speaker
Like, you know, like I have photos

Upcoming Projects and Vulnerability

00:45:40
Speaker
on there that no one has seen before, but they just look a little weird on my Instagram page because I'm more of like a brand-related, like, actress, and these are like...
00:45:51
Speaker
you know, like some bikini pics and just things that I feel like like so random on my page.
00:45:56
Speaker
And so I never post them.
00:45:58
Speaker
So it's just a way to connect with people.
00:46:00
Speaker
And I'm going to have like mornings with Shell, you know, like, you know, things that I do in my morning routine.
00:46:07
Speaker
Just a little something more deeper than surface level with Instagram.
00:46:12
Speaker
So that's honestly scary for me because I'm like, I'm going to be so much more vulnerable and open, which opens up the door to criticism.
00:46:21
Speaker
Yeah.
00:46:21
Speaker
And that's not easy all the time, you know, like even though I'm confident and stuff, it's like you don't want to get messages like that all the time.
00:46:28
Speaker
It's just like it makes you want to be like, all right, dude, well, then maybe I shouldn't be doing this.
00:46:34
Speaker
It doesn't feel right.
00:46:34
Speaker
But yeah.
00:46:36
Speaker
being able to stand there and stand strong and believe in who you are regardless of what someone else is saying, I think is something that I need to work on.
00:46:44
Speaker
So I'm excited for that.
00:46:46
Speaker
Um, and organization right now is like, I'm so organized and I'm like looking around and everything's just like a pile.
00:46:54
Speaker
Cause I'm like photo shoot here and like website shoot Instagram content and, um,
00:47:00
Speaker
I'm just like pictures for this and that and just organizing everything.
00:47:03
Speaker
I'm just like, oh my God, I need a new laptop, dude.
00:47:06
Speaker
I'm like, this laptop is like exploding.
00:47:08
Speaker
It needs a new face.
00:47:10
Speaker
I'm just like, yeah, organization.
00:47:14
Speaker
But everything else is great.
00:47:15
Speaker
Got it.
00:47:16
Speaker
and the family great how's mom how's dad they're doing amazing i was able to host them for christmas so that was really nice you had them doing a tick tock i saw that yeah yeah on my page my dad loves it um so yeah they're doing great
00:47:32
Speaker
got it.
00:47:33
Speaker
They're happy.
00:47:34
Speaker
Let's give people your handles on TikTok and what else do you have going on?
00:47:40
Speaker
Your website is launching, give people the name of your website and just anything you're promoting you might have coming up.
00:47:45
Speaker
Your website drops on Monday.
00:47:46
Speaker
I know your show The Oval, is it The Oval Office is coming out next month?
00:47:50
Speaker
Oval comes out in February.
00:47:52
Speaker
Mr. Perry is not released in official premiere dates.
00:47:56
Speaker
So if you want, you can come back to my page.
00:47:59
Speaker
I'll definitely be sharing when that comes out because I'm so excited about it.
00:48:04
Speaker
And then Chelle Hayden, C-H-E-L-L-E and then Hayden, H-A-Y-D-E-N.
00:48:10
Speaker
It's just basically Michelle without the M-I.
00:48:12
Speaker
easiest way to explain it.
00:48:14
Speaker
So that's for my website, Michelle Hayden.com my Instagram shell Hayden, Twitter, Facebook, you on Twitter, Twitter.
00:48:22
Speaker
I mean, that's my Twitter, but I'm never on there.
00:48:24
Speaker
So I don't really like I don't think I need another platform to take care of right now.
00:48:31
Speaker
Like it's a lot.
00:48:32
Speaker
So
00:48:33
Speaker
But yeah, well, I mean, thank you for wanting to have me on here.
00:48:36
Speaker
I really appreciate it.
00:48:38
Speaker
You know, it's always good to have people on, different people from different perspectives and backgrounds to give their perspective of the perspective we might have.
00:48:46
Speaker
We see, like I said, when I met you, especially when we did the fitness challenge, I was like, damn.
00:48:51
Speaker
Like, honestly, on my phone, I don't know if I ever showed you, but
00:48:54
Speaker
your name in my phone is michelle great soul that's what i have so when i meet people and i really talk to them and you know film i'm like that's what you have in my phone michelle great soul like yeah great soul you're authentic you're just a good person you want to do well you want to help people as much as you can and you can see that you can feel that so that's another reason why i wanted you uh here today speaking your truth and what you've been through because
00:49:21
Speaker
a lot of times people just think oh yeah you're pretty so that's how you got a job like no michelle works her ass off like she goes in the gym she goes hard like she ain't no no i want to sweat like i want to be dripping sweat i love it oh it ain't none of that too good to be nah goody tissue no she's working so i think it shows and um you're winning and continue to push out content and be influential and help people as much it would just be you i think you being you
00:49:51
Speaker
is phenomenal and people can feel it you know and i think i just think i can just see i can see i can see the future of michelle just big tv shows big movies i can see you hosting things um yeah you have it you know they say if you spot it you got it you got it
00:50:09
Speaker
Well, I'm with it.
00:50:09
Speaker
I'm excited.
00:50:10
Speaker
So if you guys have any more questions, you guys are welcome to ask me, DM me, follow me if you want.
00:50:17
Speaker
Follow her.
00:50:18
Speaker
Please follow her right now.
00:50:19
Speaker
What is it at?
00:50:20
Speaker
What is the handle for Instagram?
00:50:22
Speaker
Oh, Hayden, bro.
00:50:24
Speaker
Shell.
00:50:25
Speaker
C-H-E-L-L-E.
00:50:26
Speaker
Is it not up here?
00:50:27
Speaker
C-H-E-L-L-E.
00:50:29
Speaker
Yeah, it's there.
00:50:30
Speaker
It's at the top.
00:50:31
Speaker
Hayden, right?
00:50:32
Speaker
Yeah.
00:50:33
Speaker
Let's make sure.
00:50:34
Speaker
Hold on.
00:50:35
Speaker
Hold on, hold on.
00:50:36
Speaker
We want to get it right.
00:50:38
Speaker
Come on, get in there.
00:50:40
Speaker
Did I get it?
00:50:41
Speaker
Did I get that right?
00:50:42
Speaker
Let me see if I can pin it.
00:50:44
Speaker
Oh my God, there's so many comments I missed.
00:50:47
Speaker
Aw, Kelsey, hi.
00:50:50
Speaker
What's up?
00:50:51
Speaker
Let me see these comments.
00:50:53
Speaker
Yeah, you can look at them.
00:50:55
Speaker
We ain't done yet until we done.
00:50:59
Speaker
A lot of whatever comments.
00:51:01
Speaker
Shell, yes, it's Shell.
00:51:08
Speaker
that's the one you thought was impactful but they turned out not to be so great oh that's a good question that's a really good question um i feel like there's a lot of i've had friends that i thought here in la that i thought um
00:51:27
Speaker
would really like help me grow and literally they were just holding me back the whole time wow that's good i really did um so it i literally stopped being friends with a lot of people but um your growth when you're when you're growing and you're having success and you have momentum um you lose people and a lot of times are because you love them so much but
00:51:56
Speaker
you had to go and they can't stay.
00:51:58
Speaker
And the reason people treat you funny or different when you become something or more is because they're not benefiting from what you used to be, you know, and what you used to be is not that it actually changed, you just evolved into another being that you don't have time or the place to give the way you did before.
00:52:15
Speaker
And so there's still ideal
00:52:17
Speaker
They're still into that person that you were and it's frustrating for them.
00:52:21
Speaker
So they try to make you feel guilty and shameful.
00:52:23
Speaker
Trust me, I've been there.
00:52:24
Speaker
It sucks because there's people that are close to you, people who know you the best sometimes and it's tough.
00:52:30
Speaker
But if you got EQ, emotional intelligence, you can get over it.
00:52:34
Speaker
Yeah, I want to grow with people and I want to help them.
00:52:37
Speaker
But like if helping you is like hurting me, then it's like it's a no, I got to go.
00:52:43
Speaker
But let me just answer some of these questions.
00:52:44
Speaker
I didn't even see them.
00:52:45
Speaker
Do you feel like your drive comes from your parents?
00:52:47
Speaker
Absolutely.
00:52:48
Speaker
I think I kind of touched on that where I'm like, what they did and didn't do for me really shaped who I was or who I am.
00:52:55
Speaker
And I'm so grateful.
00:52:57
Speaker
Even like, I'm like, my dad wasn't around, but I'm like, yo, I'm so kind of grateful because I'm like, I'm so driven.
00:53:02
Speaker
And I don't know if I would have been as driven if you were there to just
00:53:06
Speaker
because my dad's like a softy I feel like he just would have been like okay here's this and here's that I don't think I would have this drive so I'm thankful started taking acting classes what would be the next step how can I look for an agent any tips I don't know where you live but I would maybe Google some agencies in your area and most agencies have open calls or where you can send them
00:53:28
Speaker
you're real and a real r-e-e-l is basically where you have short clips doesn't need to be anything fancy but just short clips where you showcase your talents so have a friend read with you just say a monologue whatever you feel your strongest is and just send that clip and everyone starts somewhere i know i'm like a big thing about like presentation so i don't think i ever did this part but
00:53:54
Speaker
don't feel like it needs to look like some, you know, IMAX movie in theaters, just have something cute where it shows your talent and start sending it out and then let them tell you what they want to see.
00:54:05
Speaker
And then you can adjust from there, but definitely just start getting those videos out.
00:54:10
Speaker
Um, who did you look up to when you were a kid?
00:54:15
Speaker
I think I didn't have it.
00:54:17
Speaker
I don't think I had anyone specifically.
00:54:21
Speaker
I think I looked up to like people I saw in the media and TV, but I didn't really connect with anyone.
00:54:29
Speaker
I felt like looking back, I feel like my mom was extremely influential and, but that's all I can think of right now.
00:54:37
Speaker
Sorry if that doesn't answer your question.
00:54:38
Speaker
Would you date Jordan in real life?
00:54:40
Speaker
Yes, I would.
00:54:42
Speaker
Oh, wow.
00:54:43
Speaker
We need a roadmap.
00:54:45
Speaker
Are we going to see you in All-American?
00:54:47
Speaker
Not this season.
00:54:49
Speaker
But I would love to come back.
00:54:52
Speaker
Yo, you have an epic car.
00:54:54
Speaker
I have an epic car, by the way.
00:54:55
Speaker
Thank you.
00:54:56
Speaker
Someone said, do you still keep in touch with anyone from the show?
00:55:04
Speaker
Through Instagram.
00:55:05
Speaker
Like I do with...
00:55:10
Speaker
like Taye Diggs and I will like DM each other and like respond to each other's like stories and pictures and stuff like him and I still need to do a TikTok together so if you hear from All-American like tell Taye that we need to do our TikTok already that's dope yeah I mean that's pretty much it but yeah so well thank you guys for joining and I would love to do this again it was fun
00:55:35
Speaker
It was fun.
00:55:35
Speaker
Thank you, Michelle.
00:55:36
Speaker
Hey, there.
00:55:37
Speaker
Maybe I can see you dance more.
00:55:39
Speaker
You know we can dance.
00:55:40
Speaker
You know like that real dance.
00:55:41
Speaker
I know.
00:55:41
Speaker
I got my reels coming, guys.
00:55:43
Speaker
There we go.
00:55:44
Speaker
Are you still heavy on TikTok?
00:55:46
Speaker
I don't know if I haven't seen you post it.
00:55:48
Speaker
You know we got Instagram reels now.
00:55:50
Speaker
Yeah.
00:55:50
Speaker
No, I'm still on TikTok.
00:55:51
Speaker
I'm just a little more selective about what I post on each.
00:55:56
Speaker
But yeah, I'm still on TikTok.
00:55:57
Speaker
Sometimes it just doesn't translate.
00:55:59
Speaker
And then like people don't get it.
00:56:01
Speaker
If you're not on TikTok, you don't get it.
00:56:02
Speaker
And then you think they're stupid.
00:56:03
Speaker
Right.
00:56:08
Speaker
Thank you.
00:56:08
Speaker
Have a beautiful Friday.
00:56:10
Speaker
Be safe.
00:56:11
Speaker
If you need me, I'm here.
00:56:12
Speaker
And thanks again.
00:56:13
Speaker
Yes.
00:56:13
Speaker
Oh, I also have word of the week every Monday.
00:56:15
Speaker
So hit me up with your witty questions or witty responses.
00:56:19
Speaker
What does ambiguous mean?
00:56:21
Speaker
Witty.
00:56:22
Speaker
Ambiguous just means able to relate to a large number, a variety of like... I thought ambiguous mean unclear.
00:56:31
Speaker
Unclear?
00:56:32
Speaker
Well, I'm thinking about ambiguous is like when I go to acting, they're like, we want someone that's ambiguous.
00:56:37
Speaker
Like, yeah, I guess unclear is a good way to put it.
00:56:39
Speaker
But to me, I see it as relating.
00:56:41
Speaker
But you're speaking as unclear.
00:56:43
Speaker
But yeah.
00:56:44
Speaker
This is ambiguous right here.
00:56:46
Speaker
No, I get it.
00:56:47
Speaker
Everyone looks at it different, right?
00:56:49
Speaker
So, and there's several definitions.
00:56:51
Speaker
But yeah, we'll tap into that.
00:56:52
Speaker
Yeah, every Monday, guys.
00:56:53
Speaker
Website's dropping this Monday for Michelle.
00:56:56
Speaker
She has word of the day.
00:56:58
Speaker
Let's get it.
00:56:59
Speaker
So by the way, before we leave, we got to let the people know, Michelle, what do you do to prepare yourself

Morning Routine and Daily Preparation

00:57:04
Speaker
for a day?
00:57:04
Speaker
I think that's very important.
00:57:05
Speaker
You just don't wake up like you are.
00:57:07
Speaker
Like there's things you do and rituals and stuff.
00:57:09
Speaker
Just real quick.
00:57:10
Speaker
I know you have some things in there.
00:57:11
Speaker
Yeah, what do I do?
00:57:13
Speaker
I get up and the first thing I do is like I pray.
00:57:17
Speaker
I thank God for my day.
00:57:19
Speaker
I drink a liter of water.
00:57:21
Speaker
Literally immediately I like chug liters of water, use the bathroom, brush my teeth.
00:57:28
Speaker
Yeah, and I pray literally the first hour of my day.
00:57:30
Speaker
I'm not on my phone.
00:57:31
Speaker
So if you see me on Instagram at 7am or 730am, I've already been up since 6am.
00:57:36
Speaker
Oh, wow.
00:57:37
Speaker
So no phone for the first hour, literally pray, drink lots of water, and then I work out and then the rest can come in.
00:57:46
Speaker
There we go.
00:57:47
Speaker
Believe that.
00:57:47
Speaker
Well, there it is.
00:57:48
Speaker
Y'all got it.
00:57:49
Speaker
Michelle, be great.
00:57:50
Speaker
Talk soon.
00:57:51
Speaker
Be safe.
00:57:52
Speaker
Thanks.
00:57:52
Speaker
Peace.
00:57:53
Speaker
Bye.
00:57:54
Speaker
Bye.
00:57:54
Speaker
That was Michelle Hayden.
00:57:55
Speaker
She was great.
00:57:56
Speaker
She gave you everything and then some.
00:57:59
Speaker
She prays.
00:58:00
Speaker
She drinks a liter of water.
00:58:03
Speaker
TikTok.
00:58:04
Speaker
I mean, follow her.
00:58:05
Speaker
She's amazing.
00:58:05
Speaker
Great soul.
00:58:06
Speaker
And yeah, I will be putting this on my page for a few hours so you guys can go check out the interview.
00:58:13
Speaker
Thank you all for being here.
00:58:15
Speaker
Much love, gratitude, peace.
00:58:19
Speaker
Be safe out there.
00:58:21
Speaker
Love yourself.
00:58:21
Speaker
Take care of yourself.
00:58:23
Speaker
Be yourself.
00:58:24
Speaker
Know yourself.
00:58:25
Speaker
And continue to grow.
00:58:27
Speaker
It's miracle season.
00:58:28
Speaker
Miracles don't come easy.
00:58:29
Speaker
But you got what it takes to be what you want to be.
00:58:32
Speaker
I'm out.
00:58:33
Speaker
Peace, love, and happiness.
00:58:35
Speaker
We can talk.
