Sometimes leadership doesn't look like pushing harder—it looks like pausing.

In this heartfelt solo episode, Laura shares an important update about the future of the Mommas Who Lead podcast and why she has made the difficult decision to step away from recording for an undetermined season. While she doesn't share every detail, Laura opens up about navigating personal and family challenges, the weight of carrying responsibilities behind the scenes, and the lessons she's learning about faith, surrender, and honoring the season she's in.

If you've ever felt the pressure to keep going when life is asking you to slow down, this episode is for you. You'll be reminded that:

Introduction and Episode Focus

Speaker
Hey friends, welcome back to Mamas Who Lead. Today's episode is a little different. There won't be a guest interview. There won't be a leadership training or a business strategy. And Seth, this is simply a conversation from my heart to yours. You've probably listening been listening for

Leadership Begins at Home

00:00:19
Speaker
a while. you probably noticed that um I always believed leadership isn't just about what happens on a stage, in a boardroom, or in a business. Leadership starts at home. it starts in the quiet moments. It starts in the seasons when nobody's watching.
00:00:35
Speaker
And today I want to share something personal with you.

Pausing for Personal Priorities

00:00:39
Speaker
For the foreseeable future, I'll be pressing pause and recording new episodes of Mamas Who Lead. This isn't goodbye, it's simply a pause As women, especially ambitious women, we often feel like we have to keep going no matter what. you know Keep producing, keep showing up, keep serving, keep building, keep leading. But sometimes leadership looks less like pushing forward and more like recording when it's time to step back and focus on what matters most.

Reflecting on Highs and Lows

00:01:09
Speaker
And that's where i find myself today. Over the last several years, life has taken me on a journey i never, ever, ever could have predicted. There have been incredible highs, things that you couldn't even imagine, and um moments of growth, moments of impact, moments where I felt so deeply aligned with my purpose.
00:01:35
Speaker
But then there have also been seasons of uncertainty, seasons of rebuilding, seasons of questioning who I am, where I'm headed, and what God is asking of me next.
00:01:48
Speaker
And recently, i found myself carrying a lot behind the scenes. family responsibilities, personal challenges, decisions that require my full attention and presence.
00:02:01
Speaker
And while I won't go into all the details today, I want you to know that this decision wasn't made lightly. In fact, if you're anything like me, you know how difficult it can be to pause something you love so, so much.

The Mamas Who Lead Mission

00:02:15
Speaker
Mamas Who Lead has been more than just a podcast to me. It's been a mission. It's been a community, a place where incredible women have shared their stories, wisdom, struggles, and victories.
00:02:27
Speaker
It's been a reminder that motherhood and leadership are not mutually exclusive, that we can build businesses, pursue dreams, serve our families, and create meaningful impact in the world.
00:02:39
Speaker
But right now, the leadership lesson I'm learning is this. is Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is honor the season you're in Not the season you wish you were in. Not the season you used to be in The season you're actually living in.
00:02:56
Speaker
And right now, my season is calling me back to to my family, to healing, to reflection, to creating space for what's needed most today. at home. i know there are many women listening who are navigating similar

Embracing Current Life Seasons

Speaker
seasons. Maybe you're caring for aging parents. Maybe you're walking through challenges in your marriage. Maybe you're supporting children who need more of your attention.
00:03:18
Speaker
Maybe you're rebuilding after disappointment. Maybe you're trying to rediscover who you are after years of pouring into everyone else. If that's you, I want you to hear this. Taking a pause does not mean you failed.
00:03:32
Speaker
Resting does not mean you're quitting. Stepping back does not erase everything you've built. Sometimes the part is part of the preparation. Sometimes the setback is setting the stage for something greater. Sometimes God does his deepest work in the quiet seasons.
00:03:49
Speaker
You know, the seasons where there are no announcements, no applause, no visible progress, just trust and faith and surrender. I don't know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet. i don't know exactly when I'll return to this microphone.

Permission to Slow Down and Reassess

00:04:03
Speaker
What I do know is that I still believe deeply in the mission of Mamas Who Lead. I still believe women need spaces where they can be encouraged, challenged, and reminded of who they are.
00:04:15
Speaker
i still believe motherhood is one of the greatest leadership journeys we will ever walk. And I still believe there is more ahead for me and for you.
00:04:27
Speaker
Before we close, I want to leave you with the question, what season are you fighting that you actually need to embrace? Is there something you've been forcing that needs to be released? Is there an area where you've been measuring yourself by productivity instead of faithfulness?
00:04:45
Speaker
Maybe today is your permission slip to breathe, to slow down, to reassess, to trust that your worth isn't tied to your output. You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to know the entire plan. You just have to take the moment of the next faithful step.

Gratitude and Encouragement

00:05:06
Speaker
As I step away for a season, i do so with gratitude. Gratitude for every guest who has shared their story. Gratitude for every listener who has tuned in Gratitude for every message, review, and word of encouragement you've sent along the way.
00:05:26
Speaker
and most of all, gratitude for this community of women who continue to lead with courage, even when life doesn't go according to plan. and to every mom listening today, if you're in a season of growth, keep growing. if you're season in rebuilding, keep rebuilding. If you're season of waiting, keep trusting.
00:05:48
Speaker
And if you're in a season where life is calling you home, know that there's strength in answering

Podcast Pause and Future Hopes

00:05:54
Speaker
that call. This isn't the end of Mom is Who Lead. It's simply a pause, a chapter break, a moment to a group, refocus and prepare for whatever comes next.
00:06:06
Speaker
You know, and I look forward to the day when I can sit behind the microphone again and share what this season has taught me. Until then, thank you for walking this journey with me.
00:06:17
Speaker
And keep leading, keep growing, and keep believing in what is possible. And remember, even in the pauses, your story is still being written. I'll see you see see you again soon. God bless.
