Introduction & Ariel Carr's Background
00:00:00
Speaker
Yes, yes, yes, we're back again.
00:00:02
Speaker
Another episode, Bigger Talks, IG Live Edition.
00:00:07
Speaker
And I got Miss Ariel Carr, IG expert.
00:00:11
Speaker
She's going to show us and tell us how to scale to a six-figure business on social media.
00:00:19
Speaker
She's a mom, she's a wife, and she's phenomenal.
00:00:23
Speaker
We're going to talk all things IG, social media, life, opportunity, and how...
00:00:30
Speaker
do we beat the algorithm, right?
00:00:33
Speaker
Cause it's changing every day.
Pregnancy Journey & Business Monetization
00:00:36
Speaker
So Ariel, oh, there she is.
00:00:49
Speaker
I felt really good about that.
00:00:50
Speaker
I was like just kicking my feet up.
00:00:53
Speaker
So today's been a good day.
00:00:56
Speaker
Thank you for being here.
00:00:57
Speaker
I appreciate your time, your energy.
00:00:58
Speaker
Congratulations, because I don't know how many weeks or how many months you are.
00:01:03
Speaker
You have a- Six months.
00:01:04
Speaker
Six months, my skin.
00:01:06
Speaker
What is that, 26 weeks?
00:01:08
Speaker
Yep, I'm at 27 weeks with twins, so yes.
00:01:13
Speaker
Did we know the gender?
00:01:14
Speaker
Have you discovered- Yeah, two girls.
00:01:18
Speaker
Twin, twin, twin, twins, twins, let's get it.
00:01:22
Speaker
Fun fact, so I was, I had a twin, my twin didn't make it.
00:01:26
Speaker
So my mom said she feel like my twin lives inside of me.
00:01:30
Speaker
That's why my energy is the way it is.
00:01:32
Speaker
But anyway, I just wanted to share that.
00:01:36
Speaker
And we're going to talk about making money.
00:01:39
Speaker
Yeah, let's talk about it.
00:01:40
Speaker
Make your money on Instagram.
00:01:42
Speaker
You're an IG expert.
00:01:44
Speaker
You have a business.
Transition from Music to Instagram Marketing
00:01:47
Speaker
So before we get started, I just want to, if you can share with the followers, the viewers, the people who are going to be listening, where are you from?
00:01:53
Speaker
And how did this whole thing with Instagram and you making money start?
00:01:58
Speaker
Yeah, so I was born and raised in the DMV, so Maryland specifically.
00:02:03
Speaker
Oh, I'm from Baltimore.
00:02:05
Speaker
I went to Hampton University.
00:02:08
Speaker
Yeah, I was in Waldorf, Maryland, so Southern Maryland.
00:02:12
Speaker
And then, well, I'll start off how I started monetizing Instagram.
00:02:18
Speaker
So it started in 2020.
00:02:23
Speaker
And actually maybe it started before that.
00:02:25
Speaker
So my journey started as an entrepreneur when I graduated college and I studied entrepreneurship in college.
00:02:30
Speaker
So I knew that's what I always wanted to do.
00:02:33
Speaker
So I got out of college, I graduated and I went straight into the music industry.
00:02:38
Speaker
And I did that for four years.
00:02:41
Speaker
I ended up creating a management agency, started managing three independent artists and I got one of them a distribution deal.
00:02:49
Speaker
another one verified.
00:02:51
Speaker
We were opening in front of Travis Scott, you know.
00:03:03
Speaker
Oh, is it freezing?
00:03:07
Speaker
All the things that seemed like it was super successful on the outside, yet no money was being made.
Instagram Growth & Marketing Strategies
00:03:16
Speaker
You know, we've tried to do like, you know, you got flex for the gram when you're an artist.
00:03:20
Speaker
You got to look a certain way.
00:03:21
Speaker
You got to play the part.
00:03:22
Speaker
And so money kept going out, but money was not coming back in.
00:03:26
Speaker
And I went, I came to a turning point and I was like, okay, you know, if my artists don't blow up by X amount of time, I got to get a real job.
00:03:35
Speaker
Like, and so that came and I was 23 years old and I was like, all right, I got to go get a real job now.
00:03:42
Speaker
Went ahead, got that real job.
00:03:44
Speaker
But I launched an ebook.
00:03:46
Speaker
Everything I learned from growing their social media accounts was
00:03:49
Speaker
I put into my Instagram growth ebook and that ebook is what made me my first six figures in three months time all through Instagram.
00:03:59
Speaker
Oh, let's scale back a minute.
00:04:01
Speaker
So you wrote an ebook and at the time, what year was this?
00:04:09
Speaker
Okay, so you fast forward.
00:04:11
Speaker
So with the information prior from having artists and management and starting things and spending a lot, not bringing in a lot, what was, by the way, what's the title of the e-book?
00:04:22
Speaker
Maybe some people can think about getting it down if they're on a slide.
00:04:25
Speaker
Yeah, so I've archived the 2020 edition, but there is a new one for this year's algorithm.
00:04:32
Speaker
And it's called the eMoney Bundle.
00:04:34
Speaker
So you can get that original eBook there.
00:04:37
Speaker
It's all updated for this year.
00:04:40
Speaker
But yeah, it was a crazy transition.
00:04:42
Speaker
I didn't expect to make that much, honestly.
00:04:48
Speaker
But yeah, I didn't have the plan of doing that.
00:04:50
Speaker
I was just like, this would be cool if I make some extra money while I'm working nine to five.
00:04:54
Speaker
This would be dope.
00:04:56
Speaker
But I made $25,000 the first month.
00:04:59
Speaker
How much was the e-book?
00:05:04
Speaker
How many followers did you have?
00:05:06
Speaker
I had 1,000 followers when I launched my e-book.
00:05:10
Speaker
And I was growing my account at the same time.
00:05:13
Speaker
So, you know, my account also went from 1,000 followers to 100,000 followers in about five months.
00:05:21
Speaker
So everything like went super rapid.
00:05:24
Speaker
This was all in 2020.
00:05:26
Speaker
And obviously I was doing something right.
00:05:29
Speaker
I tried, you know, a lot of techniques from, you know, practicing on my artist's pages.
00:05:36
Speaker
I really studied the algorithm.
00:05:38
Speaker
I tried out different content methods.
00:05:40
Speaker
And so when it came to my own page, it, it just all took off.
00:05:46
Speaker
So basically with all this time and a pandemic from 2020, you did research, you studied prior to 2020, you had the information to better the situation based on experience and wisdom.
00:05:58
Speaker
You had an idea, you took action, and you made a lot
Entrepreneurial Mindset & Financial Success
00:06:02
Speaker
But what was the key in that process?
00:06:05
Speaker
Was it consistency?
00:06:06
Speaker
Was it that everybody was home watching social media and TV?
00:06:11
Speaker
What for you and your business with a thousand followers, $20 ebook, but you make 25,000 in a month.
00:06:18
Speaker
What was you, what do you think was the key for you?
00:06:21
Speaker
Well, it was a combination.
00:06:23
Speaker
So it was a very opportune time.
00:06:26
Speaker
Everyone was like getting laid off.
00:06:29
Speaker
They were like, I need to learn how to grow my online brand.
00:06:32
Speaker
I need to learn how to monetize it.
00:06:34
Speaker
And so I launched right before the pandemic hit.
00:06:38
Speaker
And so it was just a very good time.
00:06:43
Speaker
But of course, the strategies that I was using, the marketing strategies, my content strategies, that played a huge role.
00:06:50
Speaker
It wasn't just because I had a good product and service.
00:06:53
Speaker
It's because I had a good marketing strategy as well.
00:06:56
Speaker
And I did show up very consistently.
00:06:58
Speaker
And I mean, I posted every single day for 365 days.
00:07:05
Speaker
Hey, people take note, listen, consistency.
00:07:08
Speaker
She was consistent.
00:07:09
Speaker
She took advantage of the algorithm and people being at home through the pandemic and she makes money.
00:07:14
Speaker
So let's talk about, I want to move into like money, right?
00:07:18
Speaker
Cause there's people who are really good at making money, but we don't know how to keep it or manage it.
00:07:23
Speaker
So the question for you is what was your relationship with money growing up?
00:07:28
Speaker
How was your relationship?
00:07:34
Speaker
So my parents are entrepreneurs, both of them.
00:07:39
Speaker
So I always had maybe a different mindset than other people when it came to money in the sense that I knew that working a job, there's a cap.
00:07:50
Speaker
There's a limit to how much you can make.
00:07:52
Speaker
If you work one job, you have one source of income.
00:07:55
Speaker
And so that's why I got into entrepreneurship because they were there and they always told me, hey,
00:08:01
Speaker
if you want to make more money if you want to be you know a millionaire which of course i do everyone wants to be that um a job may not be the best way to have that possible have that be possible and so my relationship was with money is that i always thought it was abundant i always wanted to have right i always wanted to have something that
00:08:26
Speaker
made money for me passively, that made money for me actively, that can be taken away by someone snapping their fingers and being like, nope, you ain't got this no more.
00:08:35
Speaker
So I always had that sense that like, I gotta go create something that makes me money without having someone else there, you know, to do it for me.
00:08:45
Speaker
Well, congratulations.
00:08:46
Speaker
That was beautifully put.
00:08:47
Speaker
So people listening and watching, if you really listen to what she said, she had a money blueprint.
00:08:52
Speaker
She had a money mindset because of her blueprint was what she saw every day.
00:08:56
Speaker
We go off what we see and not what we know.
00:08:57
Speaker
So her parents were entrepreneurs.
00:08:59
Speaker
She took their information, their expertise, what she saw, and she put it to action.
00:09:05
Speaker
And she became it because she was around it.
00:09:07
Speaker
So I think a lot of times when people, I would say at least for me, you see things, you hear these stories, but you're like,
00:09:18
Speaker
Oh, you grew up around it.
00:09:19
Speaker
You had the mentality.
00:09:20
Speaker
You had the energy.
00:09:22
Speaker
You was in a vortex and a frequency of making money with the mentality that I know if I work a job,
00:09:28
Speaker
But I'm not going to make the money.
00:09:30
Speaker
But as an entrepreneur, I can be abundant.
00:09:33
Speaker
And now you have a big time business and you're very successful.
00:09:38
Speaker
And that's sometimes when we're selling or we're making products, we can have a belief system, but our money relationship can be really weak.
00:09:48
Speaker
So therefore, we have the marketing tools from Ariel Carter, she has in her ebook.
00:09:53
Speaker
We have the information.
00:09:54
Speaker
We have the structure.
00:09:55
Speaker
We have the routine because Ariel Carr, she's an IG expert.
00:09:57
Speaker
She gave me everything.
00:09:58
Speaker
But I can't seem to make money.
00:10:03
Speaker
And I just want to say that's amazing because I think, like I said, a lot of times we think we can do it, but we don't know because we don't have the information.
00:10:12
Speaker
So that was great.
00:10:13
Speaker
So you have a great relationship with money.
00:10:16
Speaker
You made 25,000 your first month.
00:10:18
Speaker
So after you made that, what was the next goal or what was your intentions beyond that?
00:10:25
Speaker
I wanted to get to the six figure mark and that's what I started gunning for.
00:10:30
Speaker
And so the 100K came in 90 days.
00:10:34
Speaker
It came in those three months.
00:10:36
Speaker
Then from there, I got to half a million dollars in 12 months.
00:10:41
Speaker
And now I'm like, okay, cool.
00:10:44
Speaker
I haven't been able to get to the seven figure mark within a year yet.
00:10:50
Speaker
So that was always the next step.
00:10:52
Speaker
I was able to quit my job.
00:10:54
Speaker
And I didn't quit my job until I reached $300,000 in revenue.
Content Creation for Sales on Instagram
00:11:00
Speaker
I know some people are like, they start making money and they're like, okay, I can quit now, like whatever.
00:11:04
Speaker
But I knew that, first of all, I wanted to make at least double my salary.
00:11:11
Speaker
And second of all, I wanted to have an emergency fund.
00:11:14
Speaker
I wanted to know that my business wasn't just a fluke, like it was sustainable.
00:11:19
Speaker
And so I made sure all of that was in place before I quit.
00:11:25
Speaker
Hey, your parents just, they just set you up to win.
00:11:29
Speaker
You had the mindset, the mentality, the understanding, the action.
00:11:34
Speaker
You took action and you were considered...
00:11:37
Speaker
uh yeah that's beautiful so what you see with social media instagram perhaps what is because i believe everybody listening watching who's going to listen i think we're moving into the this metaverse this virtual digital space of currency and fees all these things what is the first thing a person should think of or be aware of they want to make money on social media is that being instagram what's the first thing they should know
00:12:06
Speaker
First thing you should know is how to create content that converts to sales.
00:12:11
Speaker
So not just content for content sake to get likes or to get comments, but to generate sales.
00:12:17
Speaker
And so that's a specific type of content.
00:12:20
Speaker
You may not get a bunch of likes on it, but you might get a lot of money from it.
00:12:25
Speaker
And so there's a difference in the way that is presented.
00:12:30
Speaker
Content that converts well
00:12:33
Speaker
falls into three categories.
00:12:35
Speaker
So you're either educating your audience, you're building brand awareness, you're letting them know, hey, I'm an expert in my field, right?
00:12:43
Speaker
And you start to build that trust factor, or you inspire them, you let them know like, hey, I was once in your shoes,
00:12:50
Speaker
I now got here or like my students were where you were at and now they're here.
00:12:55
Speaker
So you like give them that inspiration that they can do it too.
00:12:58
Speaker
And it's not just like the lucky ones.
00:13:00
Speaker
And then, you know, by having social proof and the last piece of content is I said, educational, inspirational and entertaining is the last one.
00:13:12
Speaker
So you still want to relate to people.
00:13:15
Speaker
Even when I have lifestyle content and I posted, you know,
00:13:20
Speaker
my honeymoon, for instance, I was like, Hey, I'm having this dream honeymoon.
00:13:24
Speaker
Everything's great, but it's only because of my business.
00:13:28
Speaker
It's only because I learned how to monetize my content.
00:13:32
Speaker
So even the lifestyle content is disguised to be relatable and all of that, but it still points to like, this is, you know, how you can do it for yourself.
00:13:42
Speaker
This is how you can invest in my business and see the same type of results.
00:13:47
Speaker
Yeah, I want to piggyback
Market Research & Patience in Business
00:13:50
Speaker
off of that because I started a coaching business about a year and a half ago and I hired a coach.
00:13:55
Speaker
And I was producing a lot of content, but I'm like, it was great and it was fun, but I'm like, where are the results?
00:14:03
Speaker
And she was telling me, she's like, well, you got to know your market.
00:14:05
Speaker
You got to know your demographic.
00:14:07
Speaker
So for someone who's starting out creating content, who want to turn their followers into dollars or who have a bunch of followers and want to turn, you know, some of their followers into their email list, right?
00:14:19
Speaker
How does one discover their audience?
00:14:23
Speaker
How did you discover your audience?
00:14:25
Speaker
How did you find who is my customer?
00:14:28
Speaker
What did you go through?
00:14:30
Speaker
How did that happen, that process?
00:14:32
Speaker
Well, the first step is market research.
00:14:35
Speaker
So I always tell people, do not launch an offer until you have done market research.
00:14:41
Speaker
So that's understanding who you want your ideal customer to be.
00:14:46
Speaker
What do they look like?
00:14:48
Speaker
What are their behaviors?
00:14:50
Speaker
What do they struggle with?
00:14:52
Speaker
What are their objections and what are their goals?
00:14:55
Speaker
So I'm gonna say that again.
00:14:56
Speaker
So you need to know their behaviors, their struggles,
00:15:00
Speaker
their objections and their goals.
00:15:04
Speaker
Once you really uncover who that ideal client is and you answer all those questions, now you know how to market to them.
00:15:12
Speaker
Now you speak in their language.
00:15:14
Speaker
So now your messaging is clear.
00:15:17
Speaker
Now your offer is more refined to their needs and it's a lot easier to uncover those people through content and now they're drawn to you.
00:15:26
Speaker
Now they're like, oh my gosh, this is exactly what I need.
00:15:28
Speaker
He's speaking right to me.
00:15:30
Speaker
I need to get his coaching program because it answers everything that I was looking for.
00:15:35
Speaker
So you have to understand your target audience.
00:15:38
Speaker
Yeah, and it is important to have patience because I was lacking patience.
00:15:42
Speaker
I'm like, I want it was three months in.
00:15:43
Speaker
She's like, you just started like giving a break.
00:15:45
Speaker
I was doing like, I was doing six videos a day.
00:15:49
Speaker
I was doing three on Instagram, three on TikTok, right?
00:15:52
Speaker
And I'm getting into the quotes.
00:15:54
Speaker
And I was just so anxious because I'm like, like, what's up?
00:15:57
Speaker
And just, you know, shout out to Rachel Coley, my coach.
00:16:00
Speaker
I appreciate you a lot.
00:16:01
Speaker
She set up a lot of my back end stuff.
00:16:03
Speaker
But it took me eight months to land one of my biggest clients.
00:16:06
Speaker
And like you said,
00:16:07
Speaker
It takes one client, right?
00:16:10
Speaker
And a lot of times people like, well, they question their price, they question if it's too much, if it's not enough.
00:16:17
Speaker
And when you believe in what you're pushing and what you're putting out and you're passionate about it and you know what you're doing, you kind of have a gist because it's a lot of work, you know, if you have a team because you got back in, you got landing pages, websites, marketing, you got captions, you got all these things.
00:16:36
Speaker
It does it the way it looks.
00:16:38
Speaker
It's not the way it is.
Team Management & Product Launch Strategies
00:16:40
Speaker
Because I thought you would just post boom, boom, boom.
00:16:44
Speaker
So I have so much respect for you in that business and that space because it's not easy.
00:16:48
Speaker
But once you get a hang of it, it rolls.
00:16:50
Speaker
So what's next outside of, you know, OK, you made the money already.
00:16:54
Speaker
Of course, you want to get the seven figures.
00:16:56
Speaker
I believe you get that in two months.
00:16:57
Speaker
That's what my spirit is telling me.
00:16:58
Speaker
You know, you better have a newborn.
00:17:00
Speaker
And it's just the way the universe works.
00:17:03
Speaker
But what do you think is, what's working for you right now and what you think is your biggest challenge?
00:17:12
Speaker
Uh, that's a good question.
00:17:13
Speaker
So what's working for me now is, um, reels.
00:17:18
Speaker
Like I'm, I'm getting really into video creation in general.
00:17:22
Speaker
And of course that's what Instagram is pushing.
00:17:24
Speaker
So as content creators, you know, online entrepreneurs, that's a pretty much a requirement in 2022.
00:17:31
Speaker
You have to learn how to make videos.
00:17:33
Speaker
You have to learn how to make,
00:17:35
Speaker
trending reels, right?
00:17:36
Speaker
Specific for your audience.
00:17:38
Speaker
So that works for me heavily because not only am I reaching my following, but reels goes outside of your followers.
00:17:45
Speaker
People that don't even follow you can see your content.
00:17:49
Speaker
And so I love that.
00:17:51
Speaker
I've been really getting onto that.
00:17:53
Speaker
My challenge for this year has been team management.
00:17:58
Speaker
So I've hired a lot of people.
00:18:00
Speaker
I've been trying to figure out the right roles, especially because I'm going on maternity leave.
00:18:05
Speaker
and I'm like okay I'm the face of my brands right so if I don't show up it reflects in the sales so now I have to figure out how do I automate how do I systematize how do I find the right people that could lead generation you know without me having to physically be there all the time so that's been the challenge for this year is finding the right people
00:18:30
Speaker
Yeah, so do you have a lot of Evergreen products or are you just constantly producing content?
00:18:38
Speaker
So I have courses and ebooks that anyone can get at any time, so that's Evergreen.
00:18:43
Speaker
But then I have my signature group coaching program that only is released six times out of the year, and that's a live launch.
00:18:51
Speaker
That's where people get to work directly with me, and I walk them through everything, and it's an eight-week program, so that comes with a live launch.
00:18:58
Speaker
So is a live launch the same as like a webinar?
00:19:01
Speaker
Is that kind of the same or is different?
00:19:03
Speaker
Yeah, pretty much.
00:19:05
Speaker
I always do webinars or it can be Instagram lives, but most of the time I just do the webinar way because when you do webinars, people can sign up and they can join your email list and now you can do some email marketing to them.
00:19:18
Speaker
And what's the easiest or what is the best way, I guess, is pushing out content to get people into your email
Instagram Monetization & Business Account Benefits
00:19:25
Speaker
What is like the best?
00:19:28
Speaker
Having a lead magnet.
00:19:30
Speaker
You'll need a lead magnet.
00:19:31
Speaker
So something that's free.
00:19:33
Speaker
Or like super low cost, like a dollar or something, just to get people's emails.
00:19:39
Speaker
So my webinars when I launch are always free.
00:19:43
Speaker
I have a freebie on my website.
00:19:45
Speaker
It's called five types of content that sells.
00:19:47
Speaker
Y'all can go grab that too.
00:19:52
Speaker
That's on my website and I always have something that attracts my ideal clients and they get a freebie out of it and I get their email out of it from my email list.
00:20:02
Speaker
I'm not just like selling, selling, selling.
00:20:04
Speaker
I'm actually giving tangible tips and everything that same that I do on Instagram.
00:20:08
Speaker
I'm always providing value and that's how you nurture your audience and build a community.
00:20:14
Speaker
You know, hey, you got it.
00:20:16
Speaker
I'm waiting for it.
00:20:17
Speaker
I got to get a product, you know.
00:20:19
Speaker
So I know people and I have friends and people on social media that push out a lot of content.
00:20:25
Speaker
And I know there's different type of pages, right?
00:20:27
Speaker
You got a creator page.
00:20:28
Speaker
You got a business page, personal page.
00:20:33
Speaker
What is the proper page that a person needs to have to make money?
00:20:36
Speaker
Because I have one friend, she has 16,000 followers.
00:20:39
Speaker
She's in a self-help space.
00:20:41
Speaker
One of her reels did 11.7 million views.
00:20:47
Speaker
So I'm like, did you make money off of that?
00:20:53
Speaker
To help people find out what account do they need to be signed up under, what do they need to be clicking on to get that.
00:20:59
Speaker
Because you know Instagram pays I think the 21st of every month.
00:21:02
Speaker
You get paid for your rails.
00:21:03
Speaker
I don't know the numbers, how it works, but I haven't gotten some.
00:21:08
Speaker
Is there a page you need to have?
00:21:11
Speaker
It has 11 million views on this.
00:21:17
Speaker
I want to say two things to that.
00:21:19
Speaker
Number one, you need to be a business account.
00:21:22
Speaker
If you're selling a product or service, you need to be a business account.
00:21:26
Speaker
And that just means you're linking your Instagram page with a Facebook page.
00:21:30
Speaker
And then you get access to all types of features that personal accounts don't have access to.
00:21:35
Speaker
So you can have badges now in your lives.
00:21:38
Speaker
People could tip you.
00:21:40
Speaker
You could get paid for your reels.
00:21:42
Speaker
Anytime a reel hits 1.2 million views, you get a paycheck from Instagram.
00:21:48
Speaker
And then you have analytics.
00:21:49
Speaker
So you can see best time posts.
00:21:51
Speaker
You can see your demographics.
00:21:53
Speaker
You can see what content performs the best.
00:21:56
Speaker
Like what gets the most says?
00:21:57
Speaker
What gets the most shares?
00:21:59
Speaker
And all of that is important to know.
00:22:01
Speaker
You have to track your metrics.
00:22:04
Speaker
Number two, the second thing I'm going to say to that is she should have capitalized on it without having Instagram pay her.
00:22:11
Speaker
So I don't know what the content was.
00:22:13
Speaker
I'm sure it was like something relatable and people were like sharing it and whatever.
00:22:17
Speaker
It was like a TikTok.
00:22:18
Speaker
It was like an animated, like she turned into like another Disney character, but it was, she said she got like 5,000 followers.
00:22:27
Speaker
And she didn't have no type of lead magnet or any type of call that.
00:22:31
Speaker
Talk about that next.
00:22:33
Speaker
But I think people need that info because most people working from home, you can take a break 30 minutes and create a reel and you know, you get a million views.
00:22:41
Speaker
Hey baby, that's a little bit of money in the account, right?
00:22:46
Speaker
So that's a lot of views.
00:22:48
Speaker
Yeah, that's right.
00:22:49
Speaker
When she told me, I'm like, you don't have 11 million views.
00:22:53
Speaker
I don't believe that.
00:22:54
Speaker
I went to her page and I was like, hold on.
00:22:57
Speaker
You have 11 million views.
00:23:00
Speaker
And I couldn't find what she needed to sign up for to make the money for that.
00:23:05
Speaker
Because I'm like, you probably, so many people watching that video.
00:23:08
Speaker
This is one video.
00:23:10
Speaker
Yeah, you have to be in a business account, but I believe you also have to be eligible.
00:23:14
Speaker
Like I don't think they give it to everyone or maybe they have now.
00:23:19
Speaker
I'm not even 100% sure on this.
00:23:22
Speaker
She says something like that, you have to be eligible.
00:23:24
Speaker
What does that mean?
Driving Sales with Calls to Action
00:23:25
Speaker
Yeah, you might have to be eligible, which means your account has to meet certain requirements for you to monetize it in that way.
00:23:35
Speaker
She got to pump out more.
00:23:38
Speaker
Jamie Tworkowski Right.
00:23:39
Speaker
So next what I see on your page, I actually got some notes on you.
00:23:43
Speaker
You have a video and the caption reads quick start guide to daily sales.
00:23:48
Speaker
I'm like daily sales.
00:23:51
Speaker
And I think it was like three things.
00:23:53
Speaker
But can you kind of like elaborate on that if you remember, I want to talk about the power and the benefit of a call to action.
00:24:01
Speaker
Yeah, so call to actions are very important.
00:24:04
Speaker
I use it every single time I post.
00:24:06
Speaker
So whether I'm telling people to engage with my content, so I'm telling them, hey, save this post for later, or comment below your thoughts, right?
00:24:14
Speaker
And I'm trying to boost engagement.
00:24:17
Speaker
If I'm not doing that, I'm trying to make a sale.
00:24:18
Speaker
So I'm telling people where they can get more resources from me.
00:24:21
Speaker
I'm telling them to DM me, you know, to book a call, DM me for more info, click the link in my bio, check out my freebie.
00:24:28
Speaker
So I have, you know, two different call to actions for that.
00:24:32
Speaker
And the call to action for sales, obviously, is how you can get the daily sales going.
00:24:37
Speaker
Your content every day can produce a sale.
00:24:42
Speaker
And so the way you do that is by walking people through certain steps.
00:24:46
Speaker
So you have to turn someone who's a cold lead into a hot lead.
00:24:52
Speaker
And so the way to do that... What's a hot lead?
00:24:55
Speaker
Terminal, what's a cold lead and then what's a hot lead?
00:24:59
Speaker
A co-lead is someone who just stumbled across your page and they don't really know what you're about.
00:25:05
Speaker
They don't know what your products and services are.
00:25:07
Speaker
So you have to educate them on all of that before they're like, oh, let me consider this.
00:25:12
Speaker
And then they go from let me consider this to let me buy this.
00:25:17
Speaker
And that becomes the hot lead.
00:25:21
Speaker
So daily sales, I'm into that.
00:25:23
Speaker
And I've learned something because you know, I had a book out, I released it in November of last year.
00:25:27
Speaker
And I was just on Instagram on my story like every day.
00:25:30
Speaker
Hey, you know, 100 days of wisdom, get your copy, bop, bop, bop.
00:25:33
Speaker
So what I've discovered over time, I started using the polls and the story like, who has a copy of my book?
00:25:41
Speaker
12 people to respond to a poll and say, you know, seven say no and five say yes.
00:25:49
Speaker
The seven no's, I'm sending them, hey, I just saw that you didn't have my book.
00:25:54
Speaker
By the way, if you want to sign copy, here you go.
00:25:56
Speaker
And out of that seven, I might get two or three sales, right?
00:25:59
Speaker
Or I might get one sale.
00:26:01
Speaker
But I realized like, oh, there's a way to use Instagram to not only get daily sales, but to hit a mark where you can say, I can sell a few books a week if I'm intentional about it and I plan it out and do it right.
Why Instagram is Preferred & Viral Content Strategies
00:26:15
Speaker
But social media does work.
00:26:18
Speaker
What made you take to Instagram so well and not like YouTube or TikTok or Facebook ads?
00:26:26
Speaker
Like what made you get into Instagram?
00:26:29
Speaker
Only because I knew it.
00:26:30
Speaker
Like I already knew about it.
00:26:32
Speaker
I already studied it.
00:26:33
Speaker
I already grew some pages in the past.
00:26:35
Speaker
I stuck to it, right?
00:26:36
Speaker
Because that's just what I know.
00:26:37
Speaker
And I think anyone that's trying to release something, an offer, you're trying to come up with something in your head, stick to what you know.
00:26:44
Speaker
Don't try to do something you don't know.
00:26:47
Speaker
So that's just why I did that.
00:26:49
Speaker
TikTok in 2020 was not as prevalent until the pandemic hit.
00:26:53
Speaker
And everyone was like, let's scroll online now.
00:26:56
Speaker
And then first of all, it was a Gen Z thing.
00:26:58
Speaker
And now it's like more millennial thing.
00:27:00
Speaker
And so I'm now on TikTok, but I wasn't focused on it then.
00:27:04
Speaker
And with YouTube, I didn't choose that because I felt like that was more effort, upfront effort.
00:27:12
Speaker
Like you got to sit there, you got to edit your video, you got to pick your topic, you got to talk for 30 minutes, you got to get your lighting, your mic, all this equipment.
00:27:20
Speaker
So I honestly felt like that took a little more effort than me coming up with content every day.
00:27:25
Speaker
It took me 10 minutes to come up with my daily content.
00:27:30
Speaker
Yeah, can you, because I posted a video, the last video I posted of you in the story.
00:27:34
Speaker
I was like, that song, I kind of like the song you were playing.
00:27:37
Speaker
I don't remember it, but I realized, I remember from my coach, like certain songs and music has reel plays, right, where a lot of people use the song and that can kind of make you go viral or kind of can get you more attention.
00:27:48
Speaker
So do you have any like hacks, Instagram hacks that people can use within creating reels or producing content that can get them more attention or more followers or people to kind of look at their page?
00:28:00
Speaker
So with reels, there's definitely a formula to them, like going viral, getting views, and even getting sales.
00:28:08
Speaker
So my advice is to have text.
00:28:12
Speaker
Like in the first frame, you want to capture their attention.
00:28:16
Speaker
are gonna look at the video for three seconds before they decide to swipe or not swipe.
00:28:20
Speaker
So you have to capture their attention in the first three seconds and you should have a catchy headline.
00:28:25
Speaker
Like just write out the text, you know, what is this video gonna be about?
00:28:29
Speaker
And it needs to be something that sparks their interest or sparks their curiosity.
00:28:33
Speaker
From there, you get into the content itself of the reel.
00:28:37
Speaker
Like you wanna have trending audio or you wanna do some other type of trend.
00:28:41
Speaker
Maybe there's a trending dance or a trending transition or like whatever.
00:28:45
Speaker
Hop on the trends.
00:28:47
Speaker
And then lastly, use your call to action.
00:28:50
Speaker
So I put my call to actions, sometimes in the reels, not all the time, but most of the time I put a call to action in the reel itself with that text.
00:28:58
Speaker
And then I also make sure it's in my caption.
00:29:01
Speaker
So that makes people, you know, actually take action.
00:29:04
Speaker
They save it, they share it, they comment, they do whatever with it.
00:29:09
Speaker
Wow, we need to take a masterclass on Instagram.
00:29:12
Speaker
Do you have any products or digital assets that we can utilize?
00:29:16
Speaker
Because the thing is that I'm discovering about Instagram, it's so simple, but it's complicated if you don't understand it.
00:29:27
Speaker
I learned that years ago with just getting influencer deals and being on like, you know, different shows and different platforms about being consistent.
00:29:37
Speaker
The more people see you, the more they can view you.
00:29:38
Speaker
The more they view you, the more they know you, the more they know you, the more they can understand.
00:29:41
Speaker
The next thing you know, you might have a cold person becomes a hot person who wants to buy from you.
00:29:48
Speaker
And, you know, like you said, learn audience, do what you're good at.
00:29:52
Speaker
But I also think Instagram is a platform where you can have fun making money on things you love without putting so much pressure on creating it.
00:30:00
Speaker
And I think you are one of the people in that space that can help people feel free, confident, and, you know, valuable
Balancing Motherhood & Business
00:30:08
Speaker
So that's why we need more content and more information from you.
00:30:13
Speaker
Is there any product right now that you're pushing that you want people to be a
00:30:16
Speaker
of, you got a webinar or a live launch coming up that we should know about?
00:30:21
Speaker
So I'm hosting a free Q and a tomorrow.
00:30:25
Speaker
It's going to be via zoom and it's going to be a coaching session.
00:30:29
Speaker
So anyone can ask me anything about Instagram, about launching an ebook about, you know, what's required to monetize your content, all of that, how to grow a following.
00:30:41
Speaker
I'm going to answer all of those tomorrow.
00:30:43
Speaker
So just DM me the word training.
00:30:47
Speaker
DM me the word training.
00:30:49
Speaker
I'll get you signed up.
00:30:51
Speaker
And also learn about my socially paid program.
00:30:54
Speaker
So that's my signature program where I walk you step by step, how I got to my 500,000 mark, and how other businesses can leverage Instagram to its fullest potential the way I did.
00:31:08
Speaker
I mean, you know, that's another thing you said, live launches.
00:31:10
Speaker
I don't know if that relates to Instagram lives, but I'm also aware when you do lives consistently and you're just talking to people and then, you know, you talk about your book, you talk about your product, people want it.
00:31:22
Speaker
I've done lives before and sold books and T-shirts and things, not with their intentions to, but just to kind of talk to my followers and people that support me.
00:31:31
Speaker
And people will buy.
00:31:33
Speaker
So getting out of the Instagram space, what is your intentions for life?
Key Advice for Social Media Success
00:31:40
Speaker
You know, your mother, your wife, like, what are your aspirations, you know, outside of, you know, hitting your seven figures and making money?
00:31:47
Speaker
And like, what is your joy?
00:31:49
Speaker
What brings you joy?
00:31:50
Speaker
What's your passion?
00:31:51
Speaker
What makes you fulfilled?
00:31:52
Speaker
What makes you happy?
00:31:54
Speaker
Honestly, I've been trying to figure that out as of late because like my identity is changing.
00:32:00
Speaker
Like so even even my content like me showing my pregnant belly.
00:32:06
Speaker
A lot of my followers are like super interested in that part of my life now they just want to see like
00:32:11
Speaker
baby bump stuff they want to see like what i'm buying for the twins they want to see nursery updates so i'm like okay maybe i need to shift and be like in the parenting niche or something or like maybe i should target working on like mothers who are entrepreneurs at the same time so i'm i'm kind of figuring that out but in general outside of instagram outside of business what makes me happy
00:32:36
Speaker
is my family, is my husband, is the fact that I can travel when I would like.
00:32:42
Speaker
He just waved at me, he's over there.
00:32:45
Speaker
But that makes me super happy.
00:32:46
Speaker
I really do enjoy having an impact on people.
00:32:48
Speaker
Like I really like seeing the results that they get for themselves so they can say like, oh my gosh, like I just bought a new car.
00:32:55
Speaker
I've had the same car for 10 years and I was able to buy a new car because you helped me out even with your free stuff.
00:33:01
Speaker
Like I really do like hearing that.
00:33:04
Speaker
And so, you know, because I know you got to go, we talked prior.
00:33:08
Speaker
What is a few things you can give to someone coming into the social media space that wants to make money, that wants to create content?
00:33:14
Speaker
What is three things that they should know that comes to you in the moment that you think will be valuable for their existence on this platform?
00:33:24
Speaker
Ooh, understand that you will not see results if you're not consistent enough.
00:33:32
Speaker
A lot of people are like, okay, Ariel, I tried your strategies for a week.
00:33:36
Speaker
Where's the money?
00:33:40
Speaker
that's not enough time so you got to be patient with yourself second piece of advice I would say is to learn as much as you can outside of Instagram too when I first launched my offer I was reading a lot of personal finance books
00:33:57
Speaker
And because of those personal finance books, I was able to maintain the money I got.
00:34:03
Speaker
I was able to manage it a lot better because I understood money.
00:34:07
Speaker
I started understanding, you know, wealth creation and all of that.
00:34:11
Speaker
So educate yourself outside of money.
00:34:13
Speaker
business outside of Instagram for sure.
00:34:16
Speaker
And a third piece of advice.
00:34:19
Speaker
Oh, don't, don't compare yourself either.
00:34:21
Speaker
Don't compare your journey to anyone else.
00:34:23
Speaker
It's really easy to do that on this app because you see people like, what?
00:34:28
Speaker
She made a million dollars in a year.
00:34:30
Speaker
I don't have that.
00:34:31
Speaker
How does she do that?
00:34:32
Speaker
But you don't know what her story is.
00:34:35
Speaker
No one has been an overnight success.
00:34:38
Speaker
So just don't compare yourself and just be patient.

00:35:23
Speaker
If you are new to Instagram, I would recommend my eMoney bundle.
00:35:27
Speaker
And that has the very first eBook I sold that brought me to six figures and has helped many students get to their first four or five figures.
00:35:35
Speaker
So eMoney bundle is the link in my bio.
00:35:38
Speaker

00:36:12

00:36:14
