Introduction and Episode Topic

Speaker
What is up goal line listeners? We are back with another episode of the goal line. It is Monday night. We got some wrestling on in the background and we are talking bangles and jaguars tonight along with all the latest news in the world of football. But first up, Jordan, man, how's it going? It's going well.
00:00:29
Speaker
Uh, it's fourth of July week and this week always like screws up my days. I can't ever tell what day it is. Cause you only work a few days during the week on fourth July. And it just, it always fucks me up, but we excited man. And if, if you guys hear fireworks in the background, I'm sorry, uh, neighbors are lighting off fireworks. Like today's the fourth of July. So.
00:00:50
Speaker
The middle of the week holidays always just completely fucked with your normal battle rhythm. This is two in a row. They got us on Juneteenth also. I think Juneteenth was on a Wednesday, I believe, man. So I'm never going to complain about getting a day off. But yeah, it's always awkward when it's right smack dab in the middle of the week. Luckily, I'm on Friday also, man. Are you off Friday or are you just off Thursday? Oh yeah, I'm off Friday as well.
00:01:12
Speaker
Nice. All right. So again, we're going to be going all through the world of the NFL and doing our deep dive on the Jaguars and Bengals for 2024.
NFL Season Excitement
00:01:22
Speaker
Jordan, you ready to get into it? Let's do it.
00:01:31
Speaker
First things first, this is the last month without football. Rejoice. Praise, praise Jesus. Dude, just such an exciting time, man. Like we're getting into training camps and stuff here coming up. Like we got the football games coming out. Like it's just, it's exciting. This is really the last weekend for me, man. We kick off Brett's football team. We kick off practice Monday, man.
00:01:54
Speaker
Damn, dude, it's just a week from a week from tonight. We kick off practice. So well, it's we're pretty much right in the thick of it, man. It's going to be fun. We kind of we joined up with me and Brett both kind of jumped in the transfer portal. And we joined. We took some of the really good players from our team last year. We joined up with the players from the team that won the championship that didn't age out. Right. Because they had an older team. Most of their boys aged out into tackle football. But we got all the the left behinds.
00:02:19
Speaker
and partnered up with them to hopefully make a run for the gold this fall. Go for gold. Let's do it. All right. There's not going to be much news, but I kind of thought this was exciting and I honestly didn't even know this until today. They're doing an off season hard knocks for the New York Giants and it starts tomorrow night. So Tuesday, July 2nd is when this starts.
00:02:43
Speaker
Dude, I'm watching this and I will be all in on this because I think this is cool. Just gives you another behind the scenes of, uh, running an NFL football team. And this will be like the lead up to training camp and all that stuff. So I think it's going to be really cool, man.
Hard Knocks Series with Giants
00:02:57
Speaker
Is this going to be on max? Yep. On max or Amazon max. Okay. Nice. So then they have, wasn't the in season hard knocks on Amazon one year?
00:03:06
Speaker
No, I think it's always been on max HBO has all the rights to that. Nice. So yeah. So now we're going to get an off season hard knocks. We'll get the pre-season hard knocks with the bears. And then we'll get the end season with AFC North dude, HBO for everything everyone says about them and like how long it takes them to pump out series, the NFL shit, they always get it right, man. Like they, they know what they're doing as far as NFL content goes. And I love it.
00:03:36
Speaker
Yeah, it just seems so dramatic, dude. They got all the classic NFL films, music, and the production style. That Miami Dolphins season, in season one from last year, you go back and watch
00:03:52
Speaker
the episode that classic Monday Night Game against the Titans. And that was, in the grand scheme of things, that was just a meaningless mid-season Monday Night Game. But it felt like the freaking Super Bowl, the way they presented it, man. It just seemed so, like, weighty, you know? Like, this shit freaking matters, man. To the point where it almost gets, like, overdramatic at times. But I love it, man. I could eat that stuff up.
00:04:09
Speaker
Yeah. And the preseason one that they always do, like you always attach yourself to like one of these undrafted free agents. And of course they almost always get cut and it makes you feel sad. It's like, dude, it's almost like you're watching someone. I mean, you are watching someone lose their job. So it's, you're literally watching someone get fired. So in that sense, it's really sad, but it's like, and this is what these guys have to go through.
00:04:34
Speaker
every year to make a roster like it's just it's awesome to watch i mean that's majority of players dude if you really look at how many people get cut all the players coming out the typical experience is you know you come out and either you don't even make the team coming out of college or you just hang there on the fringes of rosters for a couple years before you kind of drift away man the people that stick around for eight nine and years they're by far the exception as far as the nfl goes yeah but it is fun and
00:05:00
Speaker
I'm glad they're doing it off
NFL Lawsuit Over Sunday Ticket
00:05:02
Speaker
season one. I think this will be cool just to kind of see the countdown to the season and stuff. So it all the football content I can get I'm all for.
00:05:10
Speaker
Let's go. Uh, the only other news is that there is a lawsuit against Sunday. Well, the NFL Sunday ticket is launched a lawsuit against the NFL and NFL loss. And there's going to be a $4.7 billion lawsuit that the NFL will have to pay out to. I think the majority of it's going to go to like restaurants and bars who felt like they were overcharged. And then like some of it will go to like,
00:05:35
Speaker
individual customers. So hopefully I get some money back considering I've supported this scam for the last 10 years. I always sign up for the class action lawsuits. Anytime I get an email or something in the mail, I've gotten checks. Sometimes it'll typically be years later, but I've totally gotten checks for 50, 60, 75 bucks in the mail just for taking 30 seconds to sign up for those things.
00:05:59
Speaker
So ESPN had supposedly pitched to the NFL about doing a team by team Sunday ticket where you could just pay for your team. They were talking about it should be 70 bucks. I'm like, that seems a little light to me for 18 weeks of a season, but they do overcharge you for Sunday ticket, man. It's absolutely ridiculous what you have to pay to get Sunday ticket at this point.
00:06:23
Speaker
Yeah, it's high man. I, uh, I think a hundred per team would be a fair price or did just straight up have the games all a cart, man. I don't know why. I mean, I'm sure that NFL has much smarter people on this than me or you, you know, actually crunching the numbers. Cause that you had the idea had to come up. I don't think it's a crazy idea, but doing like specific, just make the game straight up freaking pay-per-view how much you could get for him. You know, maybe you have your,
00:06:49
Speaker
You're just the national games, but get rid of the regional games. Have your national games each week, and then the regional game, just put them straight up, pay for it. And you can do on-demand pricing, you know what I mean? If it's the freaking four and six giants against the two and eight buccaneers, dude, maybe that game's six bucks to watch it, dude. But if you got two playoff teams coming in, maybe you got pony up 20. So I don't know. That's probably not the best option either for consumers, but I feel like business-wise, I feel like they could make some serious cash like that.
00:07:16
Speaker
To me, the biggest scam about the NFL still is, especially now, is how many goddamn streaming apps you have to have to watch every game.
Jaguars' 2023 Season Analysis
00:07:23
Speaker
Now, this year, you're going to have fucking Netflix to watch NFL games. It's ridiculous how much they just gouge you to watch NFL. They're pouring their selves out to every guy in town, man. Oh, yeah. Yeah, they're definitely the village bicycle.
00:07:40
Speaker
Um, that's really it for news, man. Like there's just, we're, we're in an extended, we're in an exciting time, but this is the downtime, like July, middle of July, we'll start having training camp news and stuff. So then we'll start getting excited. So two weeks from now, we'll start getting some real news and we'll get moving into it. All right. You ready to get into our 2024 prognostications?
00:08:15
Speaker
All right, as mentioned, we're going to be looking at the Jaguars and the Bengals, keeping it in the AFC this week. Jordan, what team you want to do first? Let's just start with the Jaguars. All right. Starting off NFC, excuse me, AFC South. These guys got bumped from the playoffs in the last game of the season. I was there for it. It was really joyous to watch. Went nine and eight last year, three and three in one score game. So, you know, you can't get more down the middle than that.
00:08:41
Speaker
Bring him back Trevor Lawrence, Doug Peterson, obviously at quarterback and head coach. These guys were 18th in offense last year, 10th in defense. That's pretty, you know, pretty solid on defense, man. Big additions was Gabe Davis. They brought him in from the
Jaguars' Future Prospects
00:08:53
Speaker
Bills to replace Coward and Ridley. And then they got Eric Armstead from the 49ers, man. What were kind of your thoughts on the 2023 Jags?
00:09:02
Speaker
just really disappointing finish to the season for them. I thought they did beat up on some lesser competition early in the season. That kind of patted their record. Um, Calvin Ridley really faded down the stretch for them. Like I do. I just don't understand that kid. Like he, he just has so much talent and he looks so good right out of the gate. And then just when he looked awesome, dude, I remember that week one game, I want to say, I think they played, uh,
00:09:29
Speaker
I forget who they played week one, but I just remember he looked incredible, man. Like I remember thinking like, dude, that's gonna end up being like the free agent pickup of the, or the trade pickup of the off season. And I don't think he ever got back to that level. No, it's just, and obviously the stats probably don't completely back this up, but I just felt like when he stopped, started playing worse, like Trevor Lawrence kind of fell off a cliff at the end of the season and it really killed them. Like their defense was on the field a ton because their offense couldn't move the ball.
00:09:59
Speaker
And dude, that team has way too much talent to have as many three and outs and as many empty possessions as they had. Like ETN is a star. Trevor Lawrence is, I still think he's going to be a great quarterback. Um, they had Christian Kirk, they had Calvin Ridley. Like there's no way this team should have ended the way they did. It's just, it's insane to me. Maybe it's a Doug Peterson thing, man. I mean, the Eagles
00:10:25
Speaker
for everything everyone wants to say about them, they fired him two seasons after winning a Super Bowl because they said he's not that guy. So, I mean, maybe there was something to it.
00:10:35
Speaker
Yeah. And I know we definitely talked about that last season during, you know, during our first season of goal line, man, that they were just the, this, you know, the whole thing was less than some of its parts, right? Like it seemed like this should be really good. You know, preseason, we were both very high. We didn't think the Jaguars were going to be the best team in the AFC, but we thought that they could, with the weak division and with all the moves they'd made, that they were going to be in the mix for that number one seed.
00:10:58
Speaker
And it just never materialized, man. I can tell you straight up, you know, you can learn a lot from going to these games in person, just kind of the vibes. And we were fortunate enough that, you know, the Titans were, the game was in Nashville and it was pretty meaningless, at least on paper for the Titans, man. Turned out to be a pretty historically significant game for them, with Vrable, Tana Hill, and Derek Henry all leaving afterwards.
00:11:19
Speaker
But just from the jump, man, you know, watching the, the pregame warmups, dude, the Titans had all the juice, man. They looked fired up, but they were ready to go. And the Jaguars just seem flat. Like they were just ready for the season to be over with. They, they did not give up the vibe at all that they were a team playing to get to win the division and getting the playoffs and they ended
Bengals' Super Bowl Aspirations
00:11:37
Speaker
up getting thumped. The final score is 20 to 20, but it really wasn't that close, man. The Titans kicked their ass and that, that last game of the season when the Jaguars had everything to play for and the Titans had nothing to play for. Yeah.
00:11:49
Speaker
The vibes are not good surrounding this team. Um, I just, I still have a bad feeling about there. It's going to bleed over into this season from then to last season. I just, I just have my doubts about a lot of things about this team. Like I said, I still think Trevor Lawrence is going to be good. Their defense is obviously still going to hold it down, but I just, dude, I just, I don't think I can trust Doug Peterson as the coach with Lawrence as the quarterback.
00:12:18
Speaker
I don't know, man, they might be a little bit better than last year, but I'm not expecting them to take like a leap or anything, especially in the AFC because dude, the AFC is just stacked. It's, I mean, you, you have to play good every week in the AFC to be in the top four.
00:12:35
Speaker
Bro, it's you got to go through a freaking you got basically got to walk across broken glass just to get the opportunity to go head to head with the Chiefs and try to knock off that machine in the playoffs, man. Like, yeah, there are so many really, really good teams that could make a run in the AFC. Yeah, I just I just do not get a good feeling from the Jags, man. I don't know. I hope I'm wrong because I do like Trevor Lawrence and I like that team. And I've always kind of wanted to see them do well, like,
00:13:03
Speaker
when you get an expansion team and like you kind of want them to do well, just to kind of keep the league.
00:13:10
Speaker
more level. But yeah, when we were kids, like them and the Panthers coming in was like the coolest thing ever did. They both had like the awesome nineties jerseys with, you know, the bright blue and the turquoise and stuff. And like the, I mean, now they kind of just seem like whatever, but at the time, like the Jaguars and Panthers, like logos are actually like half-assed futuristic dudes. Yeah. I always got a fond spot for like those Mark Brunel, Fred Taylor Jaguars teams from back in the day.
00:13:33
Speaker
Yeah, but I just, I do not have a good feeling about this team moving forward. I felt like they should have fired Doug Peterson and they didn't. And I don't know, man, maybe you're higher than I am on cause you're really high on Lawrence, but I just, I don't get a good feeling from this team, man.
00:13:49
Speaker
You know, I'm big on the analytics and the analytics still spit out that Trevor wants has been a much better player than what his, his stats would, would lead you to believe. But at the end of the day, it is a, we say it all the time on here. It's a results driven league and it is not produced last year and the year before, you know, they, they kind of, they've won the, uh, they won the division against the Titans team that was just decimated with injuries.
00:14:12
Speaker
And then they kind of got, they got a little lucky in the playoffs. They were very lucky not to go one and done at home. You know, the chargers absolutely goofed away. A 20 point lead is as badly as you possibly could to kind of hand the Jaguars a win. So you really would have been looking at it back to back seasons and in disappointment for the Jags. If, if 2022 goes slightly different.
00:14:33
Speaker
I think 2024 I think they end up in a lot of the same position they were this year dude I think I don't see them I don't see them strolling into a playoff spot I think they're gonna be right there eight and eight nine and seven head into that last game and needing to win and get a little bit of help to to get a playoff spot so I think fringe playoff contender
00:14:52
Speaker
is where I see them at again this year, man. How about you? You're thinking they're not even sniffing the playoffs this season. Well, I mean, it's cute that you still think it's a 16 game season and you can go eight and eight or nine and seven, but I said going into the last week of the season. Yeah. I think there'll be eight and eight, nine and seven going into the last week, dude. I'm not saying they're not going to sniff the playoffs, but
00:15:13
Speaker
Dude, I just, I really don't think this team's winning more than nine games. Like I just, you're, you're thinking, you think it's step back. Doug Peterson gets fired and we get to a crossroads on Trevor Lawrence on this one. Well, it's not a crossroads cause you just signed a brand new deal, but I think they need a different coach. Like I just, I feel like the direction of this team is off and they have way too much talent to, to have anyone feeling like that. Like.
00:15:36
Speaker
Dude, I mean, if the Texans take a step back, I guess that would obviously help them. But I think the Colts are going to be just as good this year. And, like, dude, the rest of the AFC is stacked. I just, I'm going to say- I know we differ on the Colts. You're much higher on the Colts than I am going into this season, too. That's one of the- I'm going to say the Jags go eight and nine. Okay.
00:15:58
Speaker
All right, let's move over to the Bengals. My pick to make it to the Super Bowl out of the AFC. I did that, I don't want to say I did it tongue in cheek. I did it because obviously I don't want to go with the obvious thing, just say Chiefs are going back, which I do think it's going to be ridiculously difficult for the Chiefs to actually make it back for a third time. I wouldn't necessarily bet the mortgage payment against them doing it.
00:16:18
Speaker
I do think it's going to be much more difficult than people are even given credit for. Bengals are getting Joe Burrow back, man. That's the biggest thing, dude. They actually had a little bit of steam going at the end of the season there with John Browning, but end of the day, he's not Joe Burrow. Joe Burrow's won an AFC Championship. He is one of two people to knock out Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs, along with Tom Brady being the other one.
00:16:41
Speaker
I think this guy's the limit for these guys. It looks like T Higgins is going to be back for a season. We'll go through last season, even though last season was a little bit of a, you know, kind of just a wash with the Joe Burrow injury. They were nine and eight, five and four and once more games, offense was 11, defense was 23rd. I see these guys putting it back together and getting back to where they were, you know, 2021, they made a Super Bowl, 2022, they get bounced at in the AFC championship. So the last two seasons, Joe Burrow has been healthy in the playoffs. The Bengals have been in the final four. I think they're going to be right there in that mix again this season.
Bengals' Challenges and Joe Burrow's Health
00:17:12
Speaker
The Joe Burrow stuff is really concerning that he has never started a season 100% healthy. It's kind of sounding like he's going to be closer to 100%, but it sounds like his hand is always going to give him some issues that hand that he had operated on. That's slightly concerning when you're a quarterback. Because these guys are already been horrible in September, going back three seasons, man. Like these guys, they just, the Bengals do not come firing out of the gate, man. They like to dig themselves a hole and then crawl out of it.
00:17:41
Speaker
Yeah. Um, I just, I don't know what to think about this team, man. Like two years ago, I felt like this team was super bowl or bust every year. And now I just,
00:17:55
Speaker
that division just keeps getting better is the problem for them. Like, those are like six of the hardest games you can play all years or divisional games. Like, I mean, dude, having to play the brown Steelers and Ravens twice each like
00:18:11
Speaker
Browns and Ravens are both loaded and the Steelers, no matter what they got talent wise, Mike Tomlin is just, you know, probably if not the best coach, I think he's the most consistent coach in the NFL. The Steelers, the Steelers are always strapping it up. It's never going to be an easy week at the office when, when you're playing Pittsburgh. He gets the most out of his guys every week. Um, and then you add, you're going to have to play the chiefs in there.
00:18:35
Speaker
Can I play the dolphins? Can I play the Bills? No matter what, seeing what they are, the Texans, like, dude, I just, do I trust the Bengals enough to think that they're going to be able to beat those teams? Like two years ago, I was all in on it. I felt like their defense was way better. Two years ago, I felt like they fell off a cliff last year. They couldn't stop the run. Couldn't stop deep passes. Like,
00:19:02
Speaker
I don't know, man. I just, I have a weird feeling about this team. Like, do I think they can go to the Superbowl and make a Superbowl run? Absolutely. The problem is, dude, bro cannot stay healthy now. Like it's, it's not really an accident anymore. Like it seems like it's just happening every year now. I mean, Lamar Jackson's got the rep, but Joe Burrow is actually the, the most injury prone QB and the freaking ASC North, man.
00:19:26
Speaker
Yeah, I don't, I don't know, man. I just have a weird feeling about this team. I do think they make the playoffs cause I think they're a good enough team. Um, but dude, this is their year to shine. I mean, they got to do it this year. Cause no matter what, if T Higgins does play on the, um, on the franchise tag, he's not doing it again next year. So they got to win this year, I think. Cause then next year you got to pay Jamar chase and then they'll have even more cap issues. So.
00:19:53
Speaker
I think I don't disagree with anything you said about the difficulty level they got ahead of them. But one thing they got going in their favor, I don't think the Bengals are a team that has to have home field advantage, man. I think we've seen them do it twice. I think they can be road warriors and storm to the playoffs. And even though they missed it last year, the core of this team is still they still battle tested. They played in some, you know, the biggest games possible you could play in. And they've never looked outmatched, you know, that they went in, they beat Kansas City and Arrowhead in the AFC Championship in 2022, gave the Rams
00:20:22
Speaker
you know, everything they could wish for, right? They had, they had a chance to win on the last drive of the game and Aaron Donald just, you know, stuffed them out. And then, uh, 2022 season, dude, they, you know, they were a couple of bad bounces here and there away from beating the Chiefs again in the AFC championship.
Bengals' Season Predictions
00:20:35
Speaker
Like I, I think this team is, uh, I just think that they, if I had to put money on one team to knock the Chiefs off, man, I think it'd be the Bengals. You don't think the Bengals would have any fear if they had to go into Arrowhead and play in the AFC championship because we've seen them do it twice.
00:20:49
Speaker
them getting rid of Joe mix. And I think it's a bigger deal than people are making it out to be and replacing him with Zach Moss. Like I think that's a bigger deal than people realize. You're right though. The ceiling for this team is still high. Like they can still go win a Superbowl. It's just, dude, I still don't, I don't think I trust their defense enough, man. I think their defense is just gonna, it does. The one thing I will say that it does look like they've shored up the offensive line enough where Burrow's not going to be getting hit every play because
00:21:19
Speaker
Dude, how the fuck did that take them three years to finally realize like, Hey, we should probably do something about this and get two tackles that can actually block a pass rusher. Like, dude, this is the most, to me, this is the most like crazy NFL ever. Cause it seems like almost every team has a stud pass rusher. Like, especially in that division, dude, you got TJ Watt and Miles Garrett, like getting two tackles should be the most important thing for your franchise quarterback. Like,
00:21:49
Speaker
How do you get to remember, dude? It's still the Bengals, dude. Yeah, they lucked in to get in Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase back to back years, but honestly, go across all the major sports, dude. For our lifetime, going 1985 to present, dude, the
00:22:06
Speaker
The Bengals have got a damn strong case to be made for the absolute most poorly run franchise across all the major sports Well, I got the cheapest owner in the NFL so that doesn't help like I just I don't understand how it took you three years to finally get to tackles that aren't dog shit like Especially in that division. Like I said, dude getting TJ want and miles Garrett four times a season should be reason enough not to skimp out on your tackles, but It is what it is. I mean
00:22:34
Speaker
I guess we'll see. Hopefully you can make it through a season. I think they win 11 games. I just, what are you calling? You calling one and done second round. What's, what's, what's your ceiling? I think bangles we got, we got to go playoffs, man. I'm thinking these guys, I'll pick them to go to AFC championship, man. And I wouldn't be shocked if they win it all.
NCAA Football 2025 Game Release
00:22:51
Speaker
I'll say they win 11 games. They're a wild card.
00:22:57
Speaker
and they lose to the Ravens in the divisional round. Okay. So Jordan's got him going one and done. I got him. No, I got him on a wildcard. Okay. I got you. Got you. Got you. Okay. Second round. So you see them making second round playoffs. So all right. It's fun that we're getting into the, you know, the teams that actually got a shot to really make a run at it. I think that's going to give us a nice little, uh, some, some good, uh, fat to chew on for the rest of the, the goal line off season episodes where we finally get back to actual live rounds in the NFL. Yeah.
00:23:25
Speaker
That's really it for this week, man. Again, it's a short one. We knew there'd be a few episodes like this during the off season because we're kind of at the mercy of whatever the NFL gives us. Do you want to get an NCAA update, man? Jordan, how many days away are we from EA Sports College Football 25? We are 18 days away from NCAA College Football 2025. Man, I couldn't be more excited.
00:23:46
Speaker
Have you decided what you're going to do when you first start up? Like, are you jumping straight into an exhibition game, or are you going to go fuck it, go balls deep, go dynasty, start a road to glory? What are you doing when you get that game? A dynasty right out of the gate. Like, dude, that has always been my favorite thing. I like the road to glory thing. It's always fun. But dude, starting at dynasty, especially with recruiting and now NIL and all that stuff, like, yeah, I'm going straight into it. I'm making Nebraska great again.
00:24:14
Speaker
Are you going, are you going modern style dude? Are you going to try to, if I was doing Nebraska, I would create like Tom Osborne Jr. to be my coach and just bring back the freaking wishbone and the triple option man. And we take it back to freaking 1986 dude. No, cause the quarterback that got some absolute slinger, like he can fucking chuck the ball like 70 yards.
00:24:34
Speaker
I'm good. He's getting that edit roster dude and crank that speed up. We're going to do new age. We're not going back to the wishbone just yet. Like we're, we're one more coach away from going back to the wishbone, but for now we're going to, we're going to stick with this and make Nebraska great again.
00:24:50

Yeah. I, uh, so I told you, dude, I'm taking a knee first play day. We're taking a knee and we're going to observe an 11 second moment of silence for all the good brothers that, uh, passed away in the 11 years between NCAA football, uh, you know, releases, man. I think it's only right, dude. I just, I can't wait, man. I'm so freaking stoked for this. I'm taking a delay game and taking the 15 foot March backwards.

I don't know who I'm gonna do my dynasty with man I always like to do Western Kentucky just because obviously that's close to home you know I'm from Bowling Green Kentucky and they're a fun team to build up because you're in SEC country and there's a whole lot of work to be done to
00:25:30
Speaker
to kind of get them up to like premier level, you know? So I think that's kind of fun, dude. Tennessee, it'd be fun to play with just because Tennessee's the coolest man. You got the iconic jerseys, Nathan Stadium, you get to hear Rocky top. So I don't know. I got, I got to kind of tinker with the difficulty levels, dude. I think if, if, if Heisman is doable and I'm starting to dynasty on Heisman, I think I'm going with the balls. If all American provides a better, you know, experience, then I, I think I'm going to go with the Hilltoppers. Yeah.
00:25:57
Speaker
Yeah, you always got to judge the difficulty level because it sounds like they did make a lot of changes to this. So going right into all American might be a mistake. So we'll we'll see how it goes.
00:26:09
Speaker
Yeah, it's going to be fun though, man. I can't freaking wait. Obviously, the first goal in after that drops. We'll give you guys our detailed review because we're super stoked for it, man. So I'm still playing Madden 20, dude. I love that game, man. I've been a hardcore Madden gamer for life. And I thought Madden 20 was pretty much perfect, man. I think that was the best playing football game that I've played on Madden, at least since maybe Madden 05 on PS2. So I've been sticking with that. I still try all the new ones.
00:26:37
Speaker
they're just been sucked a little bit off but I think I'm gonna have to finally break down and upgrade Madden so that way I can get the little the synergy going right because you can export draft classes again so I can export my players from NCAA and have them going into uh in the Madden I think that would be the coolest man dude it once college football comes out though it's so hard for me to play Madden dude college football it's always so much more fun dude it's just so much better there's so much more stuff to do and
00:27:02
Speaker
There's more variety in the play style, too. So I think the two reasons why college football video games have always been more fun than Madden is you have way more variety of play styles, right? And then the other thing, dude, you got that baked in thing in college football where every single game fucking matters, dude. You know Madden, as long as you're playing good, you don't got to straight up lock in for every single regular season game in your franchise. Because as long as you win 10, 11 games, you make the playoffs. And you just lock in for the playoffs, dude, because there's not
00:27:31
Speaker
Like home field advantage has never really been a thing that much in Madden, dude. But in see that way, like you got to if you lose any game, you could end up fucking up your whole chance to win a championship that season. Oh, yeah. And just being able to rotate your roster every year in college football is just so much more fresh. Yeah. Yeah. I'm excited, man. I can't wait.

Say you're going out late I'll count down till you call me It's just one of those things That you do when you're lonely And you're all about to chase But you won't ever let me catch you And I wish I was the same But I know I'm gonna let you in again And when I do it's gonna hurt like hell And you don't mean to That's what I tell myself But why you gotta be so heartless? I know you think it's all this You're tearing me apart
