Speaker: All right. Hi, everyone, and welcome to the Sci6101, where we discuss everything about the world of psych and the antics of Sean and Gus in sunny Santa Barbara. I'm Skylar, and this is my partner, The Door.
Speaker: Today, we'll be talking about season four, episode two of the famed TV show, Psych. He did. He dead. which i don't know.
Speaker: What a name. Because, I mean, technically, someone's dead nearly every episode. Yeah, I tried to do a little research, too. Like, I checked the psych wiki.
Speaker: i don't know. It's not like a reference or anything? I have no idea. Interesting. And I tried to, like, just, you know, think about it But yeah, I don't know. Maybe because this is the first time they're there when someone dies.
Speaker: Oh, maybe. He's really dead? Yeah. Oh, he dead. Yeah. yeah like um That could be, I guess. Otherwise, it's a very straightforward title for them. yeah But I mean, they're right. He is dead. That's true.
Speaker: He is. he And he being Warren Clayton. Yes. Fancy hedge fund manager, which yeah we will discuss in a second. rich name. very Yeah, a very highfalutin, I run a business name. day and They really ah filled out the world of the wealthy Santa Barbaraites in this one. Have we ventured into this before?
Speaker: don't know if we have yet. Maybe a little bit. was gonna say maybe in like the the secret society one maybe like a tiny bit o yeah although that one almost is like um don't well I guess we got like some doctors and stuff but they're like uh yeah
Speaker: I don't even more like government he yeah yeah um these are like ah rich people I was also thinking of um
Speaker: with Mira and her family the wine family and Jan yes and they do the golfing in that one so maybe that's all why I'm thinking about it yes we have gone to a golf course before yes I don't know if we've been to like a country club yeah that we went to a country club here which was fun um pretending they were members and whatnot yeah it is Because, like, we we go to their house. We go to their closet. Oh, their estate. I know. Yes.
Speaker: Oh, my goodness. Yeah, we go to the club. i mean mean, theoretically, we're on their private plane for a moment. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So you really see many facets. Yeah.
Speaker: Many, many rich people facets. Yeah. Which makes complete sense because Santa Barbara, you know. You get that. In California. That makes sense.
Speaker: So this episode starts with
Speaker: hysterical to me flashback. Yes. Oh my gosh. I literally wrote bah-ha-ha with crying emoji face on my paper. Very funny and very cute.
Speaker: Yes. Oh my God. Well, I feel like they're all kind of the cute. Like just little Sean doing little kid things, you know, and Henry being like, you can't, you can't do that. Yeah. I do love the turn this one takes that like, oh but we get a couple turns because Henry...
Speaker: Well, do you want to frame up what what happened? Sure. So we're at the house in the kitchen and Sean comes downstairs with an ice pack on his head and a thermometer in his mouth. And he's like, you know, I'm not i' not feeling well. I don't think I can go over to, you know, this family friend's house tonight.
Speaker: And Henry takes the thermometer out of his mouth and he's like, oh my God, you're a dead man walking. You have 150 degree temperature. Like what? We got to get you to the ER like right now. I mean, you might not even have five minutes. So serious. Feel over. Oh, of course. Not an ounce of humor in this, which I love that. and And Sean, of course, eventually is like, how did you know I was faking? Henry's like, well, Sean, first thing, what I wrote down, first, or Sean, your first mistake was putting it in boiling water.
Speaker: Next time, try a hot sandwich or behind the television. Yes. So I love that turn. But of course, Henry is like, me teach you try to lie, but let me tell you how lie better. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah, he's got to be a good detective. Come on. He's got to be able to think these things through. Yeah. And then it takes yet another turn where Sean's like, oh, i I just really don't want to go over there. Like, the food they eat is kind of weird.
Speaker: And Henry's like, you know, all cultures have, like, different foods and everything. Everything's different before you try it. Like, always got to try things out. Sean's like, no, I don't think they eat, like, animal part like meat and he goes well vegetarians like you know that's that's okay think they're called vegans henry's like eyes wide like dun dun like no you're maddie in the background come on guys get ready for some barbecue tofu he's like same but i'm sick too so fun well i love seeing this henry is being very involved yes and he's like as we've said
Speaker: Yeah, like really trying to encourage Sean to, you know, go because they invited them and yes try new things and brought vegetarians. Nothing wrong with that. Like he's on board for vegetarian, but then he begins pushing it to draws the line. And then i love just that they get in on it together.
Speaker: of course. And feel like that's such a sweet moment with Sean and Henry because there is something very – I don't know. It like kind of builds trust or yeah just just to have like your parent have your back in that way. together Yeah. yeah like It's very sweet to see that, especially for these two because they do have so much tension.
Speaker: end in this episode in particular. Yeah, I know. I really a lot didn't think back to the... Me either. um Add to the flashback after watching the rest. So it is funny to think about starting with them being like on the same team and then so much tension in this episode. I was like writing that down. Like we really haven't seen a lot of interaction between them since...
Speaker: the big revelation, right? Yeah. And Sean is being a real, like he has no sympathy. That is gone. Yeah. I mean, I think, I know it's so hard because relationships, any relationship is, is difficult, right? Especially when you have such like, in this case, very deep seated feelings about things. Like Sean's been feeling this way for 30 some odd years. Yeah. Old feelings. Yeah. like And, and feelings that like,
Speaker: i don't know, i I feel like there's something very specific about, like, quote unquote stories that you've told yourself when you were young. Because then they're connected to, like, your identity in some way as a person. So, you know, to Sean, maybe he's just like, ah my dad and I just don't have a good relationship. Like, that is just the ethos of our being. Yeah.
Speaker: Right. And that's kind of how that conversation with Abigail, that first conversation goes. Yep, exactly. He's like, our relationship is complicated. Nothing's going to fix it. End of story.
Speaker: Right. Which is so interesting because um it doesn't have to be that way. Yeah. And also in a lot of moments, it's not that way. Yeah, very much so. Yeah. Great point.
Speaker: And I feel like Sean – sort of recognizes that it's like part of him does and then like you're saying like another part of him is living in those stories about the relationship that they have yeah even and jumping ahead as we always do yeah we can just cover all the sean henry stuff and then we'll get i feel like that might be smart yeah when they're When they're finally at dinner with Abigail, and Abigail's like, I really feel like we need to share emotions more. And Henry's like, I'm for it. Like, let's try. And Sean's like, no, you never share your emotions. And he's like, at least I'm willing.
Speaker: Like, come on. And Sean's like, no, this is not you. And then goes to the most drastic scenario. Which is kind of actually how he treated Henry during the Maddie stuff, too. Like, yeah, it's true. yeah He was like, you are faking it, basically. Like, what's what are you trying to pull here? Like, you' trying to...
Speaker: like and team up with mom on me like he just really good gets into this very childlike mentality about um that henry's like out to get him yeah but i guess if if again if that's like the story he's told himself it kind of makes sense that he would almost regress to to that state when confronted with something yeah and i wonder because like by the end just covering this whole story do it In the final scene of the episode, it's a very sweet, I mean, it as you know, sweet for them kind of scene.
Speaker: yeah Like very classic Sean Henry moment of, I mean, he walks right in and apologizes for one. yes um and Maybe we can talk about the other part later because we'll have to go through the whole. Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: But maybe – so maybe just that that knee-jerk reaction that he has is part of it. Like he feels cornered and so he's relying on how he always responds to this sort of thing. Yeah, it's like his defense mechanism. Yeah, exactly. and it's It's very like – it's like instinct at this point to just be like that. But on – more conscious level he knows this is something he would apologize for and should apologize for. Yeah. yeah yeah But then, of course, to also make it very Seanan and kind of ruin it, it's like 15 seconds go. And we start to be like, well, you know, I just want to. Oh, so funny. I just, how would I tell? And he's like, 15 seconds is up. OK, bye, dad. You're dead. Yes. And what that moment was about was at dinner with Abigail.
Speaker: ah Oh, yeah, I didn't think that started. Sean is sitting with this all, the the whole episode, because this episode is about, oh my gosh, I'm so sorry if you're trying to follow this. I hope you watched it You know, feel like that's really the best way to do this. Yeah. Listener, you must watch the episode first and then come us.
Speaker: Because we jump all over. Yeah. So the episode is... They are trying to fulfill a a man's dying wish, a father's dying wish. Although, does he does he indicate as he's dying that it's about his kids?
Speaker: No, he just says, Waterloo, and find my find who killed me, find who murdered me. And and that he needs to make amends.
Speaker: Oh, yes. He does not make it about his kids. So I guess Sean just projects fatherhood on him because he's an older man. Well, and I mean, we we do eventually, i guess, get the story like retroactively. Well, we do. But it's funny that he would. Well, I guess...
Speaker: He's a witch and he knows on some level. something The spirits are telling him yes that this man is a father and fatherhood. o Big Mike hit. Fatherhood is up as important to this crime and this murder.
Speaker: um But when they they find this man in his plane crash site, which is like revealing, just tossing these details out. Yeah. They listen to his dying wish, which is to make amends, find who killed him.
Speaker: And he tells Gus, you know, what if it was your dad or my dad and some other random black dude or white dude found him and hurt? Wouldn't you want those guys?
Speaker: Gus is like, i am not a random black dude. He's like, no, some other, it's fine. Keep going. Yeah. So this, Sean is like sitting with this, the whole episode of like, he He tells this story that he heard this man's dying wish. He was there for the last breath, blah, blah, blah, blah. blah And so at dinner with Abigail, yes, he ah when she encourages them to talk about their feelings, he says, okay, dad, if you had 15 seconds to live, what would you want to tell me?
Speaker: And so in that last scene, Henry has been sitting with this, which is sweet. I know. He has been sitting with this and he still can't get it out.
Speaker: He knows what it is. He just can't say the words, which is such a classic Henry move. um And so Sean leaves and and doesn't hear it because Henry runs out of time and he's dead. yeah And then to himself, Henry says, I just want to say i love you.
Speaker: So sweet. And that's the episode. We did it. Bye.
Speaker: I think it it was a really, think it's a good, like, starting point, if you will, for this season to kind of place us back in the situation between Henry and Sean. Because even though we theoretically made a little bit of progress last season, h we clearly have not made lasting progress. and know what? Just remember.
Speaker: I am thinking now, like, I feel like, what was it? I remember like Scary Sherry and Two American Duos. Do you remember how we talked about how like
Speaker: American Duos like retread the same theme? Yes. Yes. and I do remember that. As you said that, like that is kind of what we're doing here because yes, we started with Extradition British Columbia, but but that was like such a – like a set piece of an episode with Despero. Like it it kind of didn't have much to do other than, well, I guess we had some Sean and Jules stuff. um So I guess we kind of dealt with that first, but this is retreading what we did in the finale with Henry and Sean and, or maybe even all of last last season. Cause like we were just saying how,
Speaker: how Sean reacts is exactly how he reacts with Maddie. yeah yeah So we are reliving that and yeah being reminded like, okay, this is how Sean is about everything.
Speaker: Right. Yeah. So actually that makes complete sense from a storytelling perspective. Yeah. Well, exactly. Cause I feel like, You know, in in a world where in the, you know, 2000s, in which you could not binge TV in the same way that we do today, you do need a little bit of a reminder of kind of where we left off, especially when not only could you not binge TV, but you couldn't necessarily just get all of season three anywhere where you could watch it to remind you what was happening. So, yeah, Functions is a really nice device to place us like where we are without literally redoing the exact same thing. Yeah.
Speaker: That's so funny to think about because sometimes I had this like mind-blowing moment the other day because I've been looking for something else to like watch in the background. And I was like, well, maybe I'll go back to Moonlighting because we watched the premiere. We really enjoyed it. Yes. And I was yeah and i was checking out this this other show that was like on at the same time and I read –
Speaker: that this show was on NBC against Moonlighting on ABC in 1986. and oh And I was like, oh okay. The other one got canceled after a couple years and stuff. And I was talking to mom and I was like,
Speaker: asking her if she'd ever heard of this other show and that Moonlighting was on the same time. And I was telling her that and she was like, oh, well I watched Moonlighting. And I was like, oh yeah, you have to choose. Like you could not, like that. I like forgot, but yeah.
Speaker: Like, isn't that crazy? And that is like, I mean, this is 20 years later. After moonlighting? Yeah. Yeah. So obviously technology had changed a lot. We probably DVR and stuff. But the idea that we still had to wait like the summer or the fall or whatever was the hiatus and pick it up. Like you may have not had the opportunity, especially as a casual viewer who wasn't like, right I'm obsessed with psych and it's coming back and I'm going to do whatever. Yeah. yeah um Catch all the reruns or whatever.
Speaker: um like you may have not remember. And so to like re lay out those themes for us would be super important coming into this new season. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: Super smart. Yeah. And that's, it you know, you saying that of like having to pick essentially what you're going to watch. I feel like.
Speaker: it almost gives kind of more credence to like the things that Sean and Gus are so attached to. Yes. It's like you had to pick. Yeah. Sean had to get home to watch Chips. Like you, he didn't get another chance. No, it was this day and this time and that's it. So it makes sense why, yeah, why they're so committed to the things that they love, you know, which is really fun. Yeah. And it's fun. Like, even though they are in,
Speaker: 2000, what are we in now? Probably like eight nine. Nine, five yeah eight? Probably nine. Even though they're in that time. And I think like they, yeah, like there's DVR and stuff, but they they have the spirit. And even I feel like Psych has the spirit yes of the 80s and like just a different technological time because they grew up in it.
Speaker: Right. And we revisit it every episode at the beginning. yeah Yeah. So that's just, yeah, kind of fun. Yeah. Wow. It's so funny because like, I don't think I've ever really thought about that either.
Speaker: Yeah, right? Because we really, i mean. Maybe like a little bit when we were younger. like DVR was just kind of a thing when we were kids. Yeah, but not being adults and like watching like adult things. Like I don't.
Speaker: Yeah. And I feel like. I don't know, with kids' shows, I think we've talked about, like, which channels. Like, I was a big Disney Channel kid. um was a big Nickelodeon kid. Yeah. And I feel like nick kid made they the episodes would premiere at a certain time, but you they would probably run them, like, a bunch of times. Like, they only had so much programming, probably.
Speaker: mean there's some things that I, like, distinctly remember. Like, I remember High School Musical coming out ah on New Year's Eve. Oh, there you go. And I remember a New Year's Eve party going on in my house and then like the kids being downstairs watching High School Musical.
Speaker: That's so fun. Yeah. So there's certain things that were like an appointment yeah show or movie or whatever, an appointment premiere. But yeah, it's kind of different than being like an adult and being like, oh, I only get to watch...
Speaker: Like for this time slot, this is my thing that I watch. Right. And whatever else is on at that time, I'll just never even know about it. Right. Yeah. And I think i think that's the thing that as a kid, ah it never even crossed my mind. Because even though we watched, like we were very much an appointment TV family. Like Mondays we watched this. Tuesday we watched this. Wednesdays we watched this. Every night we watched Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune. Right. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: But because I was a kid and I wasn't necessarily choosing what we were watching at each time, I was just like, oh, this is what's on. right It's like, I'm here watching Survivor. Okay, cool. Like, hope that guy doesn't drown, you know? yeah But yeah, I guess when you're an adult and you're actively making the choice of this or that, yeah, it feels much more much more impactful.
Speaker: Yeah. I mean, now we're just like on a tangent, but like, it's funny to think about like how much ratings would um like really matter. Cause like even reading that on the wiki for these shows, it's like, oh, they were against each other and, and one eventually got canceled. And it's like, oh, well yeah. If Moonlighting was doing great, then this show was not doing as great. So it's, it's interesting to think about like just how,
Speaker: how much that mattered in a way it doesn't but in the same way now. Yeah. Well, it's just, it's so different now because now, again, with the, with the ability to watch anything you want at any point in time, theoretically, e theoretically, everything could be massively successful as long as people watch it. Right. But then it's like, you own, because you can only watch it at this time,
Speaker: the percentage of people who are watching is going to be split like it has to be it has to be split so you know two shows airing on the same night at the same time one is going to do unless it's a 50 50 split which is unlikely one is going to do better than the other just yeah because of the situation where nowadays if moonlighting and this other show came out on netflix at the same time it's like well as long as people watch both They can both be successful, you know?
Speaker: If that makes any sense. Yeah, and it's still, well, it does, and it's still, mean, and it still matters a lot because I know, like, they publish numbers and stuff, and they look at, but it's such a different way of counting because it's like, how many hours did people spend watching this thing that you can binge? Right. And, like, where does that fall in all the different things that you can binge? And I think shows
Speaker: probably even maybe have a harder time. Cause like maybe ah in the eighties you might've ordered a season of something and it's going to be on. i mean, unless i guess it did so bad that you pulled it in the I don't know. I don't know. I'm just making some up, but vaguely this is yeah how it works and they would have made a season and put it out, but it's like, which is kind of how it is now. Like say on Netflix, you put it out, but I know Netflix is kind of sort of,
Speaker: infamous for um canceling things like before they even had a chance. They've done it to a show that I'm very upset about. Just recently, have you watched The Burroughs?
Speaker: I haven't, but it's on my list. I want to watch it because I like a lot of people on it. So good. A little like sci-fi spooky, like a little bit, but just the right amount and so many good people in it and they freaking canceled it and I'm so mad at them. Yeah.
Speaker: so mad at them. sure there's other podcasts people who know more about this particular issue than us. It's very niche,
Speaker: There's people talking about this for sure, but it it kind of gets to the where it's like, why are you even making them? I know. And with streaming, it's interesting too. Yeah. It feels like they they aren't promoting them either. is it So it's like you aren't telling anybody and then right putting an them out, there like, I guess just to have things on there. I don't know.
Speaker: I guess. And then, like, Apple TV is really interesting because, like, they don't really – It seems like they are doing more now, but they have a bunch of stuff on there that it's like nobody even talks about, but they're all like incredibly critically acclaimed. And ah and they just keep – Apple TV seems to not be in it for the money for some reason. It's like maybe like a write-off or something. Like they just – it's not their main thing. So it's like yeah the people over there are just doing what they're doing and Apple is doing what it's doing. I don't know. something um But the yeah, really interesting. I guess –
Speaker: It's never been easy to make a TV show and maybe it never will be. That's true. But anyway. Anyway. End tangent. Over. All that to say, we are rehashing things that we saw.
Speaker: Yes. And that makes a lot of sense. Yes. Correct. That is where we started. How did we get to that? Yeah. Yeah. And and of the big thing here, or the big mirror, I suppose, here is that, yes, Sean realizes, Sean divines, that Warren Clayton is ah parent and then eventually finds that that finds that out for certain and goes into this family trying to figure out, you know, really what happened to Warren and and who was it that hurt him, one of the kids he suspects.
Speaker: And finding the body, very fun. Very Very silly. They're at like, you know, we enter the scene and the cops are all there. There's like helicopters. Vic is there. They're on like top of a mountain.
Speaker: Jules and Lassie are getting into some like legit gear about to get on like quads. Okay. I don't, would that even? have no idea. They're sending their detectives out into the woods on, they don't seem like they're yeah trained for this, but. It's a great point. I'm sure there are are like actual teams that do search and rescue. I would think.
Speaker: Yeah, right. And this is just Jules and Lassie on giant. quad bicycles yeah they look very confident they look super last he seems like he's been waiting for someone to ask him to do this absolutely I feel like Jules is probably just happy she's on this four wheeler yeah she looks like so much fun they look very confident in what they're doing Yes, which which is a great yeah check juxtaposition to Sean and Gus who just walk in and are like, hey, we're here.
Speaker: and yeah Have a map. And that's it. And they're going to walk in. And Vic clearly invited them She's like, we need all the help you can get. any you know if you can divine where he is, that'd be great, basically.
Speaker: Yes. And he, Sean has a map, but the map that he has, a fancy map, in that it's not fancy at all, because it's from Henry and his hunting buddies.
Speaker: Yeah, which I did think was that a little nod to the a flashback. Oh, probably. Not a vegan. yeah a Hunting man. Yeah. Going into the woods, making maps. Yeah.
Speaker: I think so. I think that, I think Nina being a the great green earth environmental person, i think that was a little bit of a nod. Oh, yeah. ah Because I was like, what is what is the flashback relevance? But maybe it is the vegetarian thing. and like Maybe. i don't Did she ever say she was vegetarian?
Speaker: No, but I guess just just hippie sort of things. h Because what else...
Speaker: You think of anything? There's some lying. Well, there's always lying. He's lying, yeah. He's lying about what happened with Clayton. i like the I like the reading that you had of like, you know, they're kind of in it together. so it's like kind of situating us in this is ah going to be a Sean Henry relationship episode.
Speaker: And then we kind of see those parallels through throughout with the Clayton family as well. Yeah. Okay. Okay. So the the boys go out into the woods with their fancy hunting map from Henry and his hunting friends. do what Sean says, but it's not a regular map with big words like latitudinal and east.
Speaker: so silly a couple He has a couple really good lines in this episode. Yeah. who is it Preposterous. is So the the map is special. It's not a government map in that, you know, it's not just the normal government trails. These are like the hike trails of the hunters. So theoretically, they should be able to get through the woods a little bit more efficiently than the cops are able to And through, i don't know, sheer will or luck, the boys manage to actually fly freaking of course i love them there was a couple of little bits before they actually walked up to the plane like sean and guss are just walking through the woods they hear a little bit of a crack and then they both start running away they pick up these little twigs and just start smacking each other like so funny like i don't want die don't want to eat by a bear but you guys are weird yeah they're like sure it's a bear yeah and then we get the one of my favorite shots from the episode or from the season where they're like
Speaker: come into the screen. heads coming in into frame. god. Does that sound like metal? Yeah. Yeah, they go and they find the ah fallen plane and what they were hearing was actually Warren Clayton, I guess, grabbed a branch and was smacking the branch up on the plane. Another he moment that is really quite sad if you really stop and think about it but oh my god of course they make it hilarious and so you don't think too hard about it at all but it is quite sad very very sad the boys climb into the plane now that they've found him and they're trying to get information out of him try and figure out like what exactly happened right of course yeah oh and Gus does try to call
Speaker: yes there's somebody but there's no service and i'm they didn't think to give them radios or yeah satellite phone like anything as they went into the middle of the woods i know they're just he's the psychic he'll find us he found the plan to find us subliminal messages could you imagine a I wouldn't put it past him to say that that's something he could do. so And um oh, yeah, there's no signal.
Speaker: Yeah. So they they get to Clayton. and They get inside. They're trying to figure out like what happened. He seems to be the only one in the plane. He eventually says to them, yes, that he needs to make amends. Good father. You understand.
Speaker: Oh, good father. okay so he does say that. but Yeah, that's what I wrote. Oh, yeah, yeah. And then Sean says, a good father is a tricky subject. Oh, yeah. Okay, okay. So, uh, jacked everything I said about how does he know it's about fathers?
Speaker: Oh, I see. Yeah, he meant he said good father. Yeah, that makes sense. And then Clay says, Waterloo. Sean goes, he's an Abba fan. yes Stop it. Stop it.
Speaker: Gus starts asking him finance questions. I'm like, this is... So funny. Gus as like a little finance bro in this episode is pretty funny. Like yeah from the beginning when Vic is telling them who has crashed somewhere, Gus explains to us who that is. He's like a hedge fund manager whatever who did yeah something. and And so like Gus knows a lot about...
Speaker: all of this which makes sense yes yeah that he would be like playing the stocks a little bit maybe yeah well and that was so funny too when he i don't remember what he said to clayton but essentially was like give tell me what to invest in before you die tell me what happens i was like gus he's like i'm trying to give him something to think about sean way to cover your butt gus okay and then literally right after that clayton dies i know and then gus is like that's a lose lose sensitive guster Yeah, he's got, he can be for sure. Yeah.
Speaker: man But that's part of what keeps it light, you know? Yes. No, it's true. It's true. It was quite a, quite a dramatic death scene. feel like for an actor, it would be a fun, yeah fun little guest spot to just totally have this big death, which you don't often see in like a, a show like this, you know, you usually find them after the fact. So very true. Yeah.
Speaker: Fun for this actor, probably, i would guess. Yeah. And in like, plane, middle of the woods. It seems like stuff that might not happen. Location. Yeah. oh We get our title sequence, of course.
Speaker: And everyone has now, when we get back from the title sequence, everyone's now at the crash. Everyone's there. yeah All the police. Everyone's doing their thing. Trying to figure out what happened. Oh. the Yes.
Speaker: Did Sean already notice like the altimeter? Yes. He noticed the altimeter. what? And the Saint Dwinwin. Dwinwin.
Speaker: I'm always like, is that an actual... I don't look it up, but I was like, is that an actual Saint Dwinwin? Must be, I would think. Because I could... Yeah, he has a date. It's Dwinwin's likewinwin's day The Welsh patron saint of lovers. Oh my God! So Sean, I thought he was just saying something random, but... We do. I almost...
Speaker: i almost had a moment watching it where like i thought gus was going to correct him but very good one of those yeah things where we like just invent other parts of the scene that don't happen there just because um but that didn't happen so i guess because sean was right That makes sense. I always just kind of thought that they made up Dwinwin just because that's fun to say. But that's even better that it's an actual thing. Well, that is really interesting. Like, it is fun to say.
Speaker: And I wonder if just like how that came about into the episode because it is a patron saint of lovers. Yes.
Speaker: And it's fun to say. Yeah. kind of like a throwaway too like it's really just something we touch on like two tiny short times and then it's gone yeah maybe someone in the writer's room was just familiar with that saint and they were like that'd be funny i kind of always assumed it was like a saint about um like a saint for like pilots or travel that's what i thought i thought it was like a travel one yeah that's what i always thought but that makes the connection makes way more sense as yes i love that sean was telling the truth do we think he looked it up or do we think he just knew this maybe he did look it up and maybe that is why he's able to make the leap that they are to like sleeping together yeah because otherwise way more sense
Speaker: Yeah. And what I did write down, he says, patron saint of dirty, filthy lovers in the nighttime. I love that line. Dirty, filthy lovers in the nighttime. Okay. Well, that's really interesting.
Speaker: And does make sense. Yeah. So he saw the altimeter. He saw Dwin-Win. He saw Wizwall. Oh, yeah. Which was like the name of the plane or the company. And...
Speaker: I think that's think it, yeah. And the altimeter, what he sees is that it's at like 1,200 or 2,000. Like it's up high, even though the plane is on the ground. So, yeah, so it should theoretically be at zero.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Although, I guess that would actually matter where they are, wouldn't it? I don't know. Even if if you're on a mountain, like if you're in on the ground in Denver, you're still 1,000 or whatever.
Speaker: You're still feet in altitude. That's true. i guess it is altimeter. But they're probably pretty close. to sea level oh that's true santa barbara on the beach yeah um no it does make that makes sense it seems crazy to me though later when lassie's like they found no like or they ruled it an accident or something and i'm like how did they not look at that were they just like oh it got got moved in the crash i guess maybe yeah maybe that's true maybe they thought it was just broken but yeah like it was an accident that it was like that i know but i was it does seem weird they would not think there was anything going on there yeah yeah it does seem odd guess they figure it out later maybe
Speaker: And they do say later than that, even that um forensics confirms that it was tampered with. So maybe that's like a preliminary finding. And then they're like waiting on forensics or something.
Speaker: Further evidence. Yeah. Yeah, wonder what the protocol is there for, or just in general, what the protocol is for determining something to be more serious than it is. Like, do you usually start with just saying, like, this is an accident, slash, this wasn't a murder, slash, whatever? And then with further evidence, you go and you say, hey, this is a murder, or you're like this. Like an innocent until proven guilty kind of situation. Correct, correct. correct or are you like this is super sketchy this is very clearly a murder i have no evidence of it yet but very clear um i'm pulling up the transcript because i want to see what lassie says if he calls it like a preliminary finding um yeah i don't know i mean i guess would
Speaker: I would think that they would be open to all possibilities during like a review like that. like But maybe... Maybe
Speaker: like maybe if it's something that could have happened and as a mechanical failure or some sort of accident, like they wouldn't assume it's foul play. And then right maybe there would be other...
Speaker: like a forensic analysis too that would then sure yeah like okay this this could have happened just naturally he does say it's a preliminary report there you go look at all right that's good memory it says funny the ntsb's preliminary report indicates that it was an accident due to Pilot error. Let's look up NTSB now. What does that stand for? National something Treasure School Boys.
Speaker: I was thinking Santa Barbara. Oh, Santa Barbara. But not that either. oh it's not Santa Barbara? I'll give you one more guess. Okay. the There's no P in there. That would have been a giveaway, like pilots. um National. Okay. Okay.
Speaker: travelers oh so close oh dang what is it transportation transportation more formal national transportation service board so close oh Safety board. Dang it. Okay. All yeah right.
Speaker: I like National Treasure School boys the best. I think that's what should be. Their website is tough to look It's just a bunch of crashes. Oh, God. So I guess that's what they're up to. They investigate crashes.
Speaker: Well, that makes sense. Makes sense, yeah.
Speaker: So their preliminary finding is that it's an accident. Okay. But then after further investigation, they changed that. okay yeah that all that makes sense tracks i guess yes so where are we oh just that so he saw all those things yes he saw all those things everyone's at the crash the boys decide that they're going to investigate this after the conversation that kylie said that they had before where sean's like wouldn't you want if your father's dying wish to a random guy and a random white guy
Speaker: was to avenge my death you know wouldn't you want them to do it they say yes so they decide that they're going to investigate and they head back to the station i guess just to get in on it officially yeah so they get there and it is lassie and jules and vic inside a conference conference room with mrs clayton the wife of warren clayton and sean of course has to impress her see essentially explain why he needs to be on the case and he divines the word Waterloo which this was all super funny with yeah Mrs. Clayton and she's like sitting behind sunglasses and her face doesn't change at all when he says Waterloo which is supposed to be like this big you know breakthrough and everyone's like alright Sean like get out of here Lassie's like Spencer leave and Mrs. Clayton's like no I'm actually quite shocked it's just the here's the Botox um
Speaker: Yeah, portrayed by the incredible Christine Baranski, which I wonder if the Waterloo was a reference to Mamma Mia. Did we talk about that at all? We did not, but I bet that is what it Must be.
Speaker: Must be. this is yeah When was Mamma Mia? The movie? 2008. Okay, so right about the same time. When was this episode?
Speaker: Either 8 9. 2009. So yeah, that was right before. okay Fun. Makes sense. Makes sense. And she, after hearing this, whether because she was in Mamma Mia or because it is connected to Clay, she is very impressed with the fact that Sean knew this information. We find out that this is one of the holes on the golf course that...
Speaker: they are connected to and Clay wanted his ashes to be spread there after he died. Apparently he just spoke about it the last week. And she hires the boys to find out what happened to Clay. She says, whatever the cost, the boys just start listing preposterous things like an entire case of red vines.
Speaker: Gus is like, a new laptop. Tell her we need new laptop. She's like, you are not, i don't even remember what she says, but so she's like fine with it. She's like, you more, you do. Yeah. You're like stuck by the confines of the police department. i can give you whatever you need. Tell me what you need to get this done quickly. Yes. I also want to just read through my notes. There was a couple other lines. Yes.
Speaker: Well, first, before he starts actually saying like things of substance, he's just like explaining his, things where his psychicness very silly Lee she's like, is he for real?
Speaker: Um, oh yes. And she's just, it's so funny. And, um, I think Vic is saying that, uh, or somebody is saying that he, that Sean knew,
Speaker: Like they helped find Clay. He knew where he was. He knew what he was cologne he was wearing. And Gus is like, I knew what cologne he was wearing. i heat it I thought that was very funny. Poor Gus. I wonder how they play Gus to...
Speaker: lassie jewels and vic because out in the real world they really do kind of play as like both psychic detectives yeah but sean is just introduces them as psychic detectives correct collectively right but then at the station it seems like gus is more of the like sidekick and yeah he's like an assistant right Which is interesting. i get I bet that's why Gus kind of slips up as much as he does, because.
Speaker: well, and Gus. did do that yeah well right and in the real world he'd be able to say that like oh i was the one who yeah well i don't know if like in the real world if gus would really be like i had a vision like i don't think he would well that's true i don't think he's as theatrical as sean either to well and i just feel like he doesn't like identify as a psychic detective in the same way correct i agree there But it's like they are collectively psychic detectives. So it is it is interesting. It's a little... yeah I don't know if if there's like any instance of like Gus publicly like making a
Speaker: connection like that ah other than when sean passes passes the psychicness to him in later because it like a magic head situation yeah or like what's what's the one episode oh oh the episode with his uncle did yeah yeah yes we did yeah he's like gus is the psychic like then yeah well and then in that one it's like for his uncle gus is the psychic but for the police department shot and so it's like they are kind of caught in this weird thing but we also have uh in like in the i think the dinosaur one like there's that part where ah gus cracks the lock to the shed or whatever oh yeah that was good sean has to take credit for it yeah and gus is like annoyed mean he's a lock master so i understand yeah
Speaker: yeah i feel like gus nobody can know really that gus has all these special skills so sad because he's so cool i know that's so fun you know he gets to publicly like be knowledgeable about certain things like even like finance in this episode like he's not hiding the fact that he knows about things correct but i guess if it were to be useful enough that It would help them solve the crime, then he would hide it because like pharmaceutical stuff like. Right, right.
Speaker: Like if he recognized a poison, which we have seen him do, he would not get to be like, oh, I know what that is. Right. It has to come from Sean so that he's... Right. So to beef up the psychic ruse. Yes. Additionally. That will that makes sense.
Speaker: I just feel bad for Gus because he... I know. He brings a lot to the table. He does. Well, and that is kind of a a thing. I mean, kind of in the episode with his uncle, we see that in that...
Speaker: his uncle tells Gus that Sean brings nothing to the table. Yes. And he should fire him or whatever. He's holding you back. Make him sign ah an agreement that he is the assistant. Yeah. But there's definitely like other moments where people kind of rag on Gus and like his importance.
Speaker: um I can't think of any at the moment, but I feel like even like last season, All of them don't know necessarily what he's doing there other than the fact that Sean simply must have him by his side. He is very important. We just don't know why. yeah
Speaker: So yeah, so they knew the cologne. They knew the clothes he was wearing. They knew where to find him, what position he was in in the plane. oh yeah, so she hires the boys and invites them to dinner at the Clayton Estate, which...
Speaker: Angie Schmancy. We should call a house an estate. layor And we see like an outside shot of it. Massive house, first of all. Yeah. It has like these crazy lights on it and like a really long driveway. Like very highfalutin. Very nice. And they're going to get car sent for them to pick them up and bring them there. So she means business. Oh, another thing that she said that made me laugh was... some when she is choosing Sean basically over the detective, she's like, I'm sure the taxpayer's money is better sent on some social program or tree. sorry
Speaker: Her delivery this entire episode, may so good. So funny. I mean, I don't think she cracks one smile throughout this whole episode. I know. guess she can't. Impressive, though, because they all lunatics. I know. Yeah.
Speaker: Not abused. Also, when she's like listing, like you can basically have anything, you know, this, the car, the door. And Sean and Gusky were oh, the door. Oh, the car. The door. then she's like, the door.
Speaker: Come on. Which is an incredible runner that we see. Yes. At least one more time. Yes, at least one more time. Yeah, when they're at their country club.
Speaker: Yeah. Then we go to the office and we get to see Abigail. Yay, Abigail. Abigail. Her conference must be over, which is very exciting. Right, right, right. and Interesting characterization of Abigail in this episode.
Speaker: Yes. We learn she's a fixer. Yes. There was really not really indication of that. I would agree with you. Or.
Speaker: Yeah, she seemed very like, don't know the best way do to describe it. Very just kind of like, We're to do our thing. It's okay. We're going to be as we are.
Speaker: You know? Yeah. and i I mean... At least we're doting in this episode. Yeah. And very like in touch with her feelings. Maybe it's the teacher thing. You know, she's very caring. Could be. um I mean, maybe just Being into Sean could be an indication that she is a fixer because he does not present as someone who will be a good ah partner. that's there um Maybe she thinks.
Speaker: Well, and I mean, she takes she's taken another chance on him now. That's true. Yeah. That was a big step for her.
Speaker: But she's not like pining burn for him for him. Like the way you might think like someone who likes someone who's bad for them kind of would. Someone like who's kind of a like ah wants to fix somebody. Yeah.
Speaker: But yeah, she just seems very like mature and wants to help him. Yeah. it There is actually a very interesting exchange that's the word for very interesting exchange in this scene between the three of them sean's recounting his yes escapades in the woods and i love gus's face during that oh he's not amused yeah um And he essentially says that to Abigail, like he's over-exaggerating.
Speaker: And Abigail goes, it's okay, Gus. When he embellishes, then Gus chimes lies. And Sean chimes in clarifies. Abigail says, it lets me know that he cares.
Speaker: Yeah. That's very interesting take on that, Abs. It is. And I wonder if part of that is just like she kind of she knows Sean.
Speaker: So to her, it it doesn't come across, as Gus says, as lying. It just seems like he is trying to talk a big game almost because he wants to impress her.
Speaker: That's true. And we have seen him do silly things like that before with her. I also thought it was interesting. Well, go ahead. Yes. No, no, no You go. Because I was going to jump to something else.
Speaker: Well, this is sort of tangential to that. But I thought it was interesting, too, that he, his story to the police is that, you know, he divined all these things.
Speaker: and And they found Clayton. I don't, I guess we don't know. I'm assuming that he did not tell them that he was there for Clayton's dying breath.
Speaker: but That was my assumption. Yeah. But he is telling Abigail that. And he also tells, you know, he does not... With Abigail, he presents himself as a psychic as well. We have seen him do that.
Speaker: Yes. So it's interesting that he would have different lives for different people. Yeah, it's a little precarious. Yeah. I mean, i guess it's unlikely at this point that these...
Speaker: things would cross each other, but not impossible. And I don't know if it's like he lies to everybody all the time, that it's almost like the lies negate each other because you could just write off any inconsistency with the fact that he is a liar. Right. Or an embellisher.
Speaker: Right. Well, and I wonder here too, if if for him to essentially tell Abigail that, more of the truth than he was telling the police is actually like a thing? I don't what the word is that I'm looking for. It's like a gesture of like trust or admiration as she says because although he's lying he's telling her more of inaccurate tale than he actually told the police.
Speaker: But I don't think he would ever tell her that are like reveal to her that he's lying to them. No, I don't think so. Yeah. So maybe for him, it's some sort of gesture.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. But she would not know that it means anything. Although I feel like it's more just like for her, at least the way it's presented, it's like, how what's the coolest way he can present to himself?
Speaker: Well, we do know he cares a lot about looking cool. Yes. So that makes sense. Yes, I just loved how the idea of cradling this man's head came up so much as if that was like know the coolest thing he could have done is cradle this man's head as he died. It's like, Gishon.
Speaker: Oh, yes. So then the car comes to pick them up at the psych office and the boys are so pleased. Well, that's such a funny beat too because well, and Abigail, the other thing that happens in that scene is Abigail is pushing sean like she's like when are we gonna have dinner or when am i gonna meet your father right and uh sean's like i already told you i don't want you to meet my father or whatever like i thought we weren't gonna i thought you weren't gonna pressure me anymore um right or i or maybe this is when she says she's not gonna pressure him anymore
Speaker: correct yeah yeah um but he says he doesn't want her to meet him because he knows she'll want to fix it and his relationship with Henry is complicated and no amount of something will ever when he says emotional psychobabble where's that another time let's see I still have the transcript open okay okay my relationship with my father is complicated you'll want to get in there Oh, wait, no. My relationship with my father is complicated, as I believe I've mentioned, which I thought that was interesting. Him trying to set the boundary again.
Speaker: Yeah, but there's clearly a little, there's tension there between them. um And i know you I know you, you'll want to get in there and fix everything and no amount of talking or listening or hugging is going to fix anything between me and my dad.
Speaker: And then she says, I'm sorry, i hear you, and I'm going to stop pressure you. And then he, I'm just going to go through the rest of this. Do it. um And he says, thank you. Besides, you already know everything there is to know about me. I'm really quite a simple man. And then ah like a ah a fancy driver comes in and says, yeah jour Mr. Spencer's private car is here to take him to the Clayton estate.
Speaker: And Abigail's like, what So that's a very funny moment to get them out of that scene. Yeah, that is really interesting. um Especially that she said, like, I i heard you.
Speaker: I'm not going to continue to pressure you. And then she essentially oversteps the boundary anyway. Like, that's... And what she does do is just do it on her own terms. Well, it's interesting because it's like, it the what is the boundary?
Speaker: Is it that John doesn't want to talk about it anymore?
Speaker: Or that he doesn't want her to meet him? I think that's it. If that is it, then that is a little... Yeah. Not cool that she would just go do it herself. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. I think he's, I, it seems like he's trying to keep the two of them separated. They're like two different parts of his life that he doesn't want to commingle. And then she was just kind of like, well, we're going to commingle whether you like it or not.
Speaker: Which is, yeah, quite, quite the overstep of the boundary. Whether you agree with the boundary or not.
Speaker: Then we go to said Clayton Estate. And if they walk in. They're like in I don't know reception hall or something. And I just wrote down, Sean immediately breaks something.
Speaker: oh my gosh, yeah. And Gus fancily drinks water. Gus is hilarious. The moment he enters this house, he's like... He's been dreaming of walking halls like this one. But yeah, the way he's drinking the water, it's like he's tasting it like it's a wine nice wine. yeah Yeah. Yeah, even the way he pours it is so funny.
Speaker: And then they they walk over to the the dining room. you know Mrs. Clayton comes and gets them. They walk over the dining room. and Again, Gus is like trying to be cool. He's like on his phone answering his please. We all have that moment just before where they clock the tennis racket.
Speaker: Oh, yes. tennis racket and I like that we get to see that Gus... is really into tennis and knows a lot about tennis. Gus is like into everything. It's so much fun. I mean, we did see them have a tennis case a long time ago now. And I think we saw them since then playing tennis or or we didn't see them playing, but they like came from playing tennis.
Speaker: Yeah. So I like the idea that Gus just was like, Kept it up. Ever since then, yeah. It just became part of his life. it's like ah It's like Mary with the racquetball. Yes. And he recognizes the type of racket that is. He knows the pro people. like yeah He really knows what he's talking about.
Speaker: This is the man who watched competitive spelling on TV true for years. So I could totally see him watching you know competitive tennis and whatnot on the television as well.
Speaker: We also meet Garvin, which, what a name. Yes. Very Heathers, says Sean. Have seen Heathers? I have not seen Heathers. either. I feel like we're going have to watch that at some point. right.
Speaker: I think you're right. Yeah. There's also no musical based off of it. Oh, I've always kind of wanted to watch it. Yeah. I feel like kind of cult classic. Yeah.
Speaker: Movie. So we'll add it to the list. And if it still happens to be on Broadway next time you're on the East Coast, we can go and see that as well. Yeah. Gus. Oh, yeah. Gus tries to text his his quote unquote peeps. and One of my favorite lines here is, you have two peeps and one of them is made out of marshmallow.
Speaker: so I love that too. And I love the implication that I guess Sean is the other peep. Sean is the only other peep. He has Sean and a marshmallow.
Speaker: and So cute. Of course, the other one would be food. Yes. And so we sit down to dinner and this is kind of a, this dinner is kind of awkward. oh Not even kind of. This dinner is really. Extremely. Kind of painful. do think it's hilarious as a paying customer that she's like, quiet everyone. Mr. Spencer will they have a we now have a revelation. Yeah.
Speaker: As if it's just something. Yeah. Yeah. Like that is on demand. What I love that she was like, well, based on your prior performance, right i expected very quick results. Yeah.
Speaker: She definitely is a woman who knows how to get what she wants. And she knows that she knows that. Well, Sean tries say that he all these other things.
Speaker: say that he like needs all these other things Yeah, it's access to. Yeah. He's like, does he have a smoking jacket? Which I thought, I wondered if that was like. Callback. Yeah, it's a ghost. Ghosts. yeah I wanted do that too, yeah. Like be his bathrobe. Like he's got wear his stuff, yeah. Yeah. He needs the hot chocolate in hand as Rich guy, I got to wear that. um eat the na Yeah, he needs to drink his hot cocoa. Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Speaker: And then I love Garvin. Starts very subtly. Shading. Poser. And then Gus. Asthma. ah just And john Sean goes, oh, don't mind him. He's allergic to white people.
Speaker: Yeah. And then like, she is not giving him anything. No. And he's like... I have been getting something. And she's like, I thought you might. Like, she is so sure that she can just force it. Like, i don't know. She's just used to getting what she wants. Absolutely.
Speaker: Understandably, it seems like she always has. Yeah. Sean, he divines a bunch of things. He divines that Mrs. Clayton and her tennis coach have been having an affair because no tennis has been played on that racket.
Speaker: And Garvin's like, ew, is that that why you always have lessons at night? He divines that Rosa. Which is about Garvin.
Speaker: Yeah, I cannot. I feel like he seems like he's like 30. Okay. completely agree. He's 30, but he's acting like he's like 12. And I feel like that's maybe the joke.
Speaker: Okay. That makes sense then. which is Which is funny, but ah yeah, I don't know. He's just like one of those kids who's never had to have a job or. Yeah, exactly. You know what the world is like. is At some point he says that he hates his dad because he took away his dad.
Speaker: something, yeah. car made him get a job, something like that. Yes, and then he divines that Rosa is Mr. Clayton's mistress because she is wearing a Saint Dwinwin charm, like necklace.
Speaker: Yeah. Pendant. And this is when we get the dirty, filthy lovers in the nighttime. Which i agree with you. I always thought that was just a throwaway joke. Yeah. apparently it's true.
Speaker: Maybe not the dirty, filthy lovers part, but just the the lovers part. um and i do like rose says make me make him leave i love that line make me make him leave and then she sticks the dogs on them which well and because sean says that he's gonna prove one of you three correct killed warren clayton and christine and what's Mrs. Clayton says. Mrs. Clayton, yeah. I don't know if we ever get her first name. Yeah. She's just like, is that so? And I thought it was interesting that she was like kind of protective of the group of them.
Speaker: She doesn't yeah throw anybody. Even Rosa, she's like, yeah doesn't throw anybody under the bus. She doesn't want him coming after any of them. Which is interesting. Yes, very nice.
Speaker: Yeah, interesting if she... hired him theoretically to find the truth but i understand she doesn't want them to be harmed and this is another instance of sean being wrong so that he can later be right because it was not one of them by any means unless well unless i guess he could again with the whole like psychic witchy thing he can just be like well there was a picture of nina and charles or whatever his name was um in the room Or in the house. And that's what I was... I didn't even notice the picture because I think I was like probably writing things down. don't think there actually was a picture, but I bet like if anyone questioned him about it later, he could, you know, make some mumbo jumbo like that. Well, he does say one of you three.
Speaker: Oh, one of you three, then never mind. Yeah, so he is wrong. just But I do think, you know, the spirits could have maybe said, you know, someone in the family. But part of the confusion is that when he asks about oh yes the young woman in the photos, um Mrs. Clayton says, that's her daughter, Nina, who's no longer with us.
Speaker: So then they're, you're right. So we think she's dead because. Yes. mother Clayton says she kind of implies that it's no longer with us yeah she selects very particular parts to make it sound like she's dead um and I think it is in like that sort of rich person way of like maybe she is sort of dead to them yes I think that's a fair yeah assessment of that statement like yeah she's no longer a part of this life and therefore she does not exist to us yeah
Speaker: Then we go back to the station. Sean is in green, as he often is. Lassie's hair is so short. I just noticed it in this scene. I was like, whoa. And his eyes are so blue. i also noticed that in this scene. i was like, Lassie, dapper man, dapper man.
Speaker: And Vic agrees. Sean is, you know, essentially saying, look, I know this preliminary report Lassie said um says that there's, you know, it was an accident. Nothing's like serious, but I have, you know, psychic vibrations that it was more than that.
Speaker: Someone else has to look into the case. And Vic agrees to let Lassie look into it further. And I guess this is when we get the forensic evidence that will then eventually say that it was not an accident. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: And at some point in there Lassie calls Sean a twerp. Oh a twerp. yeah Which great word. And Sean's glad to hear that the word twerp has survived the millennium.
Speaker: Yes it's a good word twerp. Very middle school bully. Yes. Oh and Sean's reasoning for why they need to keep looking into it is because that family is like full of secrets and he wanted to make amends and there's but he was met with backstabbing and And front biting and back biting. And back biting.
Speaker: And Lassie's like, makes a little face. Very fun. And then I think we go to the club. Yes, we go to the country club where Sean starts off our visit to the country club by just stealing pockets full of muffins. Trying to put them in Gus's pockets. Yeah. Any way that they can, which I mean, at this point. Smuggle.
Speaker: Yeah, who knows what they're what their funds are looking like. So maybe muffins are essential. i mean, you don't want to pass up for you. It's true. A complimentary food. Yes, complimentary muffins. bump loveff and there is um I feel like I never noticed the pineapple, but this one in particular was just like right in our view. You didn't see it? No. Oh, wow.
Speaker: um There was just the muffins and then right in front of that was just a big cut up pineapple. I was probably just like, why are you stuffing pockets with muffins? The whole And then we get Mrs. Clayton comes back in and she's essentially saying to them, you know, I know you're trying to get people to tell you information because, you know, we are members of this club and everyone knows everything about us and blah, blah, blah, blah. blah But like, good luck getting anyone to talk. They're not going to tell you anything, especially if you're not a member of said club.
Speaker: This is when we get ourselves door. Yes. But she also tells where... and water We don't hide anything except for large amounts of money. Oh, my God. Illegitimate children and the fact that we're Jewish. ah like Very interesting things. Large amounts of money. Just classic rich people.
Speaker: Yeah. Wow. And I guess to the illegitimate children, she really did not seem fazed. No, not at all. By Clayton's affair. No. She's got her own affair. She did mention that he was being...
Speaker: the man she fell in love with or married or whatever towards the end yeah once loved just trying to make amends trying to reconcile yes yeah But it does, the way she lists those off, it's like, that's just part of the lifestyle, you know? Yeah, of course. Extramarital affairs. She's not, du cause she doesn't, you know, hold anything against anybody. She seems generally pretty unfazed. Like most us do not seem to really show up her.
Speaker: Yeah. Pretty hardened. Part of that, I guess, is the Botox. But yeah genuinely inside, she doesn't seem to face. No, no. So the boys get to the door for our lovely Mrs. Clayton, and they go outside to look at the golf course when Sean recognizes the name Whizwall, which was the name that they also saw inside the plane that Mr. Clayton was driving. Driving? Flying. Drive a plane, really. um
Speaker: Oh, yeah, especially because the guy tells us later on at the flight lesson that nothing like each other, apparently. Nothing each other. So, excuse me, at flying the plane. And they decide that they're going to essentially go undercover to talk to Wiswell and see what he knows. Gus says, and Ms. Clayton's right, like how they're never going get these people to talk to them.
Speaker: And then Sean sees Wiswell. Wait, the best line ever. Yeah, I know. no Go ahead. I do a very meta moment. I was so fine. Yeah, Gus is like, let me guess. We have a loosely formed idea that shouldn't work on paper, but ultimately proves to be reasonably successful.
Speaker: And Sean just like smiles. That sure is what happens. Yep. They go and they get golf attire, essentially. Yes. Yeah, he's that's right. He looks at the pro shop.
Speaker: Yes. And then they say that they're like prospective members. They're doing a trial run. join the most exclusive clubs. Of course. And they go out and play with Wiswall and some other man whose name I don't think we got.
Speaker: But seemingly both very successful guys. And they end up telling him in all of this that Clay was a very successful hedge fund manager.
Speaker: Sean deduces that they play these games for high stakes, very high stakes, um sometimes so high as an entire plane, hence why Clay had a Whizwall plane, because he won it in one of the matches, and that Clayton got a private hanger for the family to use for said plane.
Speaker: This leads Sean to think that it could be any member of the family who pampered with the plane because they all had access to it. Which is kind of what he thought already that somebody did it.
Speaker: I guess he was, yeah you know, it doesn't rule anybody out. e Yeah. Yeah. So they're leaving. They got all their good little tidbits.
Speaker: Gus ends up telling Sean to call Abigail. thought this whole thing, this whole interaction here was really interesting because this like conversation about Sean as a relationship person. Yeah. And essentially saying that there's just one Sean. Like what you see is what you get. There's no relationship Sean. There's, you know, no other Sean. It's just Sean.
Speaker: And Gus is like, well, you got to step it up because Abigail needs more than, you know, your usual hullabaloo. um And he specifically says, I'm not talking about what makes sense. I'm talking about relationships. Fair enough.
Speaker: Yeah. i also thought it was interesting that, well, Gus is telling him, He needs to check in. And Sean says, why would I check in? I'm not on parole.
Speaker: Fair enough. But but Gus does say that Sean said he would call. o Right. So he's just trying to make him uphold what he said. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: Makes sense. it Yeah. There's no relationship, Sean, or boyfriend, Sean. There's just regular Sean and Malibu Sean. You know that. that was so funny.
Speaker: Yeah, that was very funny. I did think that was an interesting contrast, though, to later when we get our serious Sean moment yeah about Jules. So, like, there does ultimately – there is ultimately a serious Sean moment.
Speaker: Yeah. um Yes. But yeah, he's he's definitely got a bit of a chip on his shoulder this episode about the relationship, about ah Henry. and maybe it is just the that pressure from her to bring Henry into the picture.
Speaker: Yeah. I don't think I ever realized that. that like could you mentioned in the beginning this feels very much like tension between the two of like a point of contention and I don't think I ever realized that there were already kind of cracks if you will in this so early on um so it'll be interesting to see if any more like disagreements or anything like this kind of pop up throughout the rest of the season while we have time we spend time with Abigail
Speaker: So when Abigail does eventually pick up the phone, we are chatting with her when we hear Henry's voice in the background. And Sean asks if she's at his father's, to which she says yes.
Speaker: And she's been having a very interesting time, to say the least. That was funny, too. I wonder what she meant by that. lovely so I'm kind of like what do you just because he's like also kind of an odd duck and really likes fishing and well it is interesting too and like she would go behind Sean's back does she seem to want to hide it from him or not ah she doesn't seem that worried about hiding it from him yeah yeah but she does just go um and then to be like this like it's been interesting to say the least
Speaker: It's just like to be like, don't know, like look at this guy when it's like he didn't want her to meet him in the first place. Right, right. That is kind of weird take on her part. To be like, oh yeah, it is interesting. yeah. I see why you wanted to keep him from here whatever. But yeah, Henry – we're making plans for dinner soon. So like, this has been really weird, but like come to dinner with us. Yeah. And I wonder what, what about it was so interesting. Cause like even Henry in the background being like, Hey Abigail, you want to see how far I can sit?
Speaker: Like he clearly knows that, yeah you know, he's no fool. He knows what's going on here and that Sean does not want her there. And yeah, I i wonder if it's one of those, like,
Speaker: you know, when I've heard people say before, I think we've maybe even talked about it before, like when you meet someone's parents, like you can kind of understand a person much better. So I wonder if it's just been like eye opening to her She's just like, oh, I get it. Funny that she would tell Sean that after yeah Sean was, you know, this is a touchy subject for him.
Speaker: Right. To essentially be like, oh yeah, you were right. He's a maniac. Yeah, but also, like, I feel like he's probably not being that weird. Like, it seems like he's a longer he's probably kind of on his best behavior with her.
Speaker: Yeah, I think he that makes sense. I mean, at least from what we get from the time that they're at the dinner together and this brief moment, it doesn't seem like he's being. Yeah, I guess he is being candid.
Speaker: That's Henry though. Yeah. But I guess like more candid, like about their relationship, which maybe that is what is interesting to her, like to get his perspective on it. Cause like at dinner, it is interesting that they're really talking very plainly about the fact that there is tension.
Speaker: m They're not going fix it or whatever. um But she thinks, you know, if they could talk about their feelings, it would help. Like,
Speaker: not nobody's really beating around the bush of the three of them, which is kind of interesting because it is such a tense topic. Yeah. So yeah, maybe maybe they were just talking about the relationship and that is what is interesting Yeah, that could be.
Speaker: Actually, would probably make the most sense if if then when they go to dinner, she's like, okay, everyone just needs to tell each other how they feel. like Yeah. You can tell and you can tell we're lacking communication is essentially what it it seems like she said. do wonder how much like
Speaker: how aware Henry is of the fact that Sean has some like pretty foundational misunderstandings or had some pretty foundational misunderstandings about their, about Henry and his mother. I'm
Speaker: i'm just imagining like, what is Henry saying to Abigail? Or is he just like, right you know, just thinking Sean's like stubborn. They also at dinner bring up like,
Speaker: Sean's work, m which Sean is pretty, you know, Henry is pretty flippant about. Yeah,
Speaker: i don't know. I guess we could just keep going and then we'll get to the dinner scene. Fair enough. we But we think in this scene, they probably talked about Henry and Sean's relationship.
Speaker: Yeah. we just need like Growing up or something like that, that would maybe, know, give Abigail more insight. Yeah. And I just wonder, like, what does Henry think about their relationship right now?
Speaker: What is Henry saying about Sean? Because in and a lot of ways they are, they have come a long way. Yeah. But then at dinner, we'll just talk about it. have aga Abigail's like, I'm surprised you never applied for the Academy. Like, this is basically what you do.
Speaker: Another interesting thing that she would, clock that. have that thought. Yeah. But I feel like that presents like a fundamental misunderstanding of Sean.
Speaker: Oh, that he wouldn't want to join the Academy. Yeah. It's like, of course he didn't. Right. um But maybe, i don't know. The way she's written in this episode is interesting. Like you'd almost think she was like a therapist or something. like Yeah.
Speaker: The way she's going about this, which is interesting because Maddie is a Psychologist. Psychologist, yeah. Something like that. Yeah. um Police psychologist.
Speaker: I don't know. Like psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist. I don't know what all the differences are. um But I think she's more like the academic kind, which I think would be more psychologist, psychiatrist. don't know.
Speaker: um but but i do feel like abigail's kind of written like that and i wonder if she is saying that almost to like prompt a risk some sort of defensive response just to like bring that just to make them talk about it because like yeah i don't know how she wouldn't know that like that the there with the way that they butt heads like I don't know why she would even think that Henry would or Sean would have wanted to like follow Henry's footsteps.
Speaker: Well, maybe. it Well, you know, at hope well, hold on.
Speaker: Way, way back when, when Sean was an itty bitty little one, he did want to be a cop. But kind of very quickly, i guess, changed his mind when his perception of Henry changed.
Speaker: hmm. So I wonder if this is almost like a Abigail knows Sean. and Abigail knows a different Sean than what Sean is now. If you know what I mean. Yeah. talking about going backward to go forward thing. Yes. Like she knows like past Sean.
Speaker: And maybe past Sean like very young. Who knows how long they actually knew each other for. Maybe little Sean wanted to be a police officer. but now Sean slash older Sean, right, would have never crossed his mind. So maybe this is almost like a little seedling of like Abigail is not, Abigail is not the right person for Sean because she doesn't actually see Sean as Sean is.
Speaker: sees Sean as Sean was. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: Yeah, I do. That does make me wonder like about the timeline. And I feel like we have kind of talked about this. it probably towards end when Maddie was there and everything.
Speaker: Just when everything happened. Because i feel like I thought of Sean becoming disillusioned with Henry and Henry's work and everything during high school.
Speaker: Which is when they entertaining. Well, don't know. Because we did see in, like, the firefighter episode, Sean was young and didn't want to be a cop. He wanted to be a firefighter. Oh, that's even younger. Well, then, like, where did – but where would Abigail – But I don't know that he didn't want to be a cop because of Henry at that point.
Speaker: I see what you're saying. like was more just like because firefighting is cool. Yes, yes. I see what you're saying. But I do wonder when – like where Abigail comes.
Speaker: Well, also, maybe they didn't know each other all that well. Like they had a date scheduled and he stood her up. We really don't know – like were they friends – That's true. Maybe they really didn't know each other. yeah Right.
Speaker: So maybe they just do of each other, in which case.
Speaker: Well, and knew of each other and then like, you know, maybe talked well enough to know, like for him to have asked her out and everything and for him to have a crush on her. Right. And to kind of get each other's sense of humor, senses of humor. But um but maybe like she wouldn't have known him.
Speaker: like deeply enough to like be sure thinking about like what he wanted to be or didn't want to be or how he felt about his father blah blah blah um well and that would make sense because i i do feel like on the surface or not even on the surface just point blankly what sean does is very much what the police do yeah so i guess yeah it's more just like an observation and maybe she's not putting it to maybe she's not putting it together that like the relationship the tension in their relationship would be something that like prohibitive for Sean to follow in Henry's footsteps. Right.
Speaker: Right. That makes sense. Yeah. Cause it's a, it's a very tense dinner. It's like not even five minutes and Sean leaves. Which is exactly like the dinner they have with Maddie.
Speaker: Yeah. oh True. Oh my God. True. that's what as Yeah. Except they go a little bit deeper, I think. Oh, well, I guess with Maddie, she leaves a table.
Speaker: Yes, and that's when. And it's more him and Henry talking. But but yeah, I mean, Henry is also a dick in ah this too. Sean weren't particularly nice either. Sean literally says No, neither. Yeah. It is its very funny. that they have Both are very childish.
Speaker: Yeah. And ah maybe it's... says something that they're really not trying to impress Abigail at this point. Like, yeah, Sean is pretty frustrated. So he is like, not trying to be anything. I feel like, um, yeah, but Henry's not trying to be on his best behavior as we suggested. Yeah. Maybe he would be, would have been maybe earlier.
Speaker: Maybe that's based on like what Sean is giving him. Yeah, that could be. He's like, if you're going be a child, I'm going to be a child. Well, and like, we're not going to pretend for her, then I'll be myself too.
Speaker: Oh, that was like way later, huh? and We skipped some stuff. That's okay. I forgot that we did. So I was like looking in the wrong place in my notes. Oh, I don't think I wrote it down, but Henry says something like he could have done what I did, but he wanted to be an a professional asswipe instead. or Yes, a professional asswipe. Yes.
Speaker: um Which is really quite rude. Yeah. and then And then Sean says the wipe doesn't fall very far from the ass. tree i yes uh so that that was a funny line but like very tense yes um and yeah both of them and henry is being it a dick about his work um yeah especially when we know that like
Speaker: henry doesn't actually think that sean like he doesn't actually think that sean's not helpful like he's he knows that sean like actually solves cases and does a good job and he's proud of him he keeps his clippings he does things for him you know what i mean but here he's just like being a dick yeah well and like they will always have that that fact that Sean did want to do it, that he does want to do it, but he doesn't want to do it like Henry. Right. He wants to do it his way.
Speaker: Yeah. And he doesn't want to be somebody Henry approves of. And so I could see like Henry always having a problem with that. h Even if maybe like in his heart of hearts, he doesn't have a problem with what Sean does. Like sure if they're going to talk about it, then he's always going to,
Speaker: have a problem with that. Because it's always, it's it's like an affront to him. Sure. That Sean be doing that way. think would call exactly that. Yeah. By design. Yeah.
Speaker: So, but but yeah, I mean, it's kind of what we were talking about in the beginning, like just like these old stories, old feelings, old wounds that are just like never really go away even yeah though,
Speaker: hurt Like these more mature parts of them, maybe maybe they're not as present for those versions of them, but the older versions are still part of them too. Yeah.
Speaker: Oh, man. I know. Family. Which, that's what the episode is about. It's very true. This family. Mm-hmm. And then our our dinner wraps up with Sean getting a text from Gus, essentially saying that- Well, let's go back a little because we did skip some stuff. Oh, you're right. Okay. We skipped nine-up. Okay. So the boys, okay, the boys go to the airport to get some information about the hangar and the airplane. and we don't want to be suspicious. So Sean has planned a flying lesson.
Speaker: for Gus without him knowing shocker tells Gus not to be the principal and the interest yes and I know poor Gus he's always the decoy as he says or the distraction he goes along with it a lot easier than like I might expect for a guy flying lesson absolutely it seems like he totally blacked out during the whole thing once he was there but like as far as like he doesn't really put up a fight about going and doing it No. Maybe at this point he just knows it's kind of futile. Like it's going to happen no matter what.
Speaker: this is That's a big ask though. I agree. I would not have done that. But this gives Sean the opportunity to look inside of a plane and see what everything typically looks like. He sees the altimeter. with the you know dials at zero, being that they are on the ground, realizing, of course, then that the altimeter in the Clayton plane was broken to some degree. He finds the flight logs from that day and sees different information in this one than on the one that the police had, the official flight log, which said that he took a four-hour detour
Speaker: for fuel in bakersfield and then later on they ask you know how long would it take to refuel a plane sean thinking maybe he had to refuel he is told maybe 20 minutes so we know that something else was happening when he was in bakersfield than just refueling his plane oh so sean takes the detective initiative to call car services in bakersfield and see if anyone picked up that too he was really in doing through the detective work like some yeah proper yeah i i did think it was funny that of course he was like i called every car detective car place in bakersfield and gus like two just put him back in place like yeah don't you know don't over exaggerate again and he finds out that
Speaker: Clayton was brought to 1600 Joshua Lane and asks Gus to remember that as a note to self. Of course, Gus is like, I'm not you. I can't take a note to self.
Speaker: And then Sean starts narrating narrating and misremembers the location as 1313 Mockingbird Lane, which of course is... Munster's house or not. Which Gus knows, obviously. Yes, obviously. That's where Munsters live.
Speaker: But then, of course, also remembers that it's 1600 Drashma Lane. And it is where the Great Green Hope is, which is an organization. that does environmental work.
Speaker: When the boys get there, Gus is announced as Sean's associate, Jazz Hands. And they get to meet with the founder, Mrs. Thompson.
Speaker: They tell her about their investigation and how they have been led here ah by Warren Clayton, the ghost spirit of Warren Clayton. And...
Speaker: She tells them all about a business venture that Clay wanted to have with Nina. Oh, we don't know what's Nina yet, but with Nina and of the great green earth, she turned it down. She didn't want anything to do with that money. And Sean thinks that because she called him Clay, that she is another mistress.
Speaker: And we learn later on, not the case. This is actually his daughter. Yeah. There was one moment I wanted to, there's one line that I, I think it's one of my favorite jokes, like, of all.
Speaker: um But when they say that they're there about, and they think he was murdered, I think. They say something like that. And she's like, oh, that's karma for you. You guys probably believe in that. And Sean's like, yeah, only because we're karma chameleons and without missing a beat, this is become and go. So good. Become and go.
Speaker: I did one of my other favorite bits from this episode in the very next scene at the will reading. And Sean's like, we're ah we're all here to talk about the partricide. And Gus like, no, that's killing a partridge.
Speaker: Then what's killing your dad? Patricide. there was like a whole bit of back and forth about partridge and that side. And the partridge is like, oh, it's a victimless crime. is like, who's not? Who's the victim? The partridge.
Speaker: so so Just so silly. But they're both completely serious oh about it. Of course. and And this is where at the will reading, this is where we find out that Nina is actually their daughter. She walks in and Gus and Sean are like shocked because, you know, who does she think she is? Mistress coming to the will reading, blah, blah, blah.
Speaker: And Mrs. Clayton goes, my daughter. And Garvin goes, my sister. Very dramatic. Yeah. and When I was looking at a psych wiki, it said that that is a reference to Chinatown, the movie, which we will have to watch eventually for Santa Barbara Town. There you go. um So I guess we'll see. Okay. I was going to say, I've never seen that one either. That'll be fun.
Speaker: Yeah. And at this point, um like Sean is there to tell Mrs. Clayton that he solved it and he's sorry it wasn't one of them. Right.
Speaker: Well, and I kind of want one of them. And then... And I think she's like, yeah she's kind of grateful. And then becomes apparent that it's the daughter. And so they get chased out by dogs again. Yet again. are going after the family.
Speaker: so then Nina is arrested and brought to the police station alongside her husband, Charles. I think Charles is just really there for moral support at this point in time. And they're sitting in the interrogation room.
Speaker: This is when we find out. that clay was at the great green hope in an attempt to reconcile with nina because she essentially foregone has foregone their way of life she said that she doesn't want to be a part of it anymore and that is why she said no to the money i love this too because like That Sean is suddenly like helping her This is like a classic Sean move of like getting somebody arrested and then being like, oh, I'm. My bad.
Speaker: Let me help you. Yeah. And I wonder why, like he seems pretty sure pretty quickly that she didn't do it. But kind of for reason. That is a good question.
Speaker: I don't know. Maybe he's just his loyalty to Mrs. Clayton. Maybe. Those dogs really ran any suspicion out of him. ah the Then decided to go talk to Wizwall. I don't recall why. Oh, right.
Speaker: Something about the money. The hedge fund. some Something about that. Oh, she said she overheard an argument with one of his golf buddies. There you go. Yes. So we go back to the golf course.
Speaker: We meet with Wiswall. We find out that Clay's business was actually a Ponzi scheme, to which point Sean makes a reference to the Fonz, because of course, nothing can be serious. And we find out that...
Speaker: And Wiswall maybe had some information that specifically showed that it was a Ponzi scheme and that he might use some of that maybe in a court of law to get back some of the money that he lost. Who knows?
Speaker: And we have our dinner, which we already talked about. oh and then at the end of the dinner, Sean gets a text from Gus saying that um the police are going to go talk to wiswall so we better go and talk to him to find out what's going on we get to his hotel room and when we walk inside there is wiswall dead on the bed poor wiswall poor wiswall through it he seemed like a pretty nice guy he did and we see that there is prospectus fun word for the show that was taken which would have been gus tells us of course the knower of all things that there would have been evidence in there about the potential ponzi scheme so whoever killed wiswall must have taken the evidence with them
Speaker: And Sean, think at that point, recognizes the yeah number and remembers it with his photographic memory um from some of the shredded paper that he saw in the Great Green Hope office.
Speaker: Things are coming together. So we jump to Clay's funeral. And i set I wrote down, feels very Chau Bella, feels very shabby. Yeah. I don't know if it's because it's a funeral outside. i don't know. But I was just like, totally.
Speaker: very It is funny. I mean, I guess he wanted his ashes spread on the 18th hole. but Oh, that's true. that would be They're just straight up having literally a funeral on the golf course while people are golfing. yeah No big deal. I guess when you have enough money. Sean gets up there um sean gets up there really pretty disrespectful way for a funeral goes up when you know they ask if anyone goes to the so funny mrs is clayton is starting to get up and he just runs runs up opens the urn with the ashes in it and starts like unbelievable moving it around the funeral almost dropping on people and of course this is when he starts his nutshelling saying that clay is communicating with him and essentially says that charles yes charles
Speaker: Nina's husband is the one who killed Clay because he wanted the great green hope to still get the money that Clay was going to give him. But after Nina said no to the money, Clay was going to change his will. He didn't want that money taken away from them. So he tampered with the altimeter before he was able to get back to the plane.
Speaker: I love that Nina slapped him after this because I was like, ah hell yeah. That man deserved a slap. And yeah then you know she walked back over to the family. He gets detained, it seems like, because Lassie and Jules aren't there.
Speaker: And one of my favorite little bits from this part was Sean starts coughing after he sits back down. He goes, I think I breathed in some dead guy. Oh, gosh.
Speaker: At one point, he also... starts like bowing or something because people are clapping and Gus is like, that's not for you. not And there's just like these old men who made a good putt, I guess. I guess.
Speaker: Then we go to Henry's house. Yes. We have our sweet Sean and Henry moment, which is, sweet it's such an interesting like deflation in a way. Like yeah the tension has been so high Between them and with Abigail and everything like this whole time and then Sean just walks in. I guess it was kind of a. A bit of a reckoning for him, because what he says is that.
Speaker: Like. I guess our family has drama or whatever, but none of us have tried to kill each other. Very true. guess it's not that bad. how right yeah I guess put things in perspective. yeah um When we've talked before about how like the episodes kind of have to finish at a point of stasis, like we can't leave with there being too much tension in any one spot.
Speaker: So this is kind of less a like a big cliffhanger. Correct. We haven't gotten to one of those yet, though. and The only one is like when, which I think happened when they opened the door.
Speaker: Oh yeah. mom That's true. Season two. That's true. That's the one. Yes. The season two finale. But otherwise, yeah, pretty much we, we have to come back to some kind of normalcy.
Speaker: So this kind of felt like that. Sean being like, well, I guess to what we were saying earlier, having rehashed kind of where we were or kind of what we the ground we covered towards the end of season three where we like having just watched that it felt like we did leave it at a place where they were a little right on better terms and Sean did learn something about Henry that he didn't know before and they had some I don't know maybe he
Speaker: had a new empathy for him. And so really like this episode, since we kind of rehashed that drama, we had to come back to the point of them being like on slightly better terms. Yeah. We're okay.
Speaker: Yeah. queerre Yeah. they're They're okay. Yeah. yeah And Henry loves him. yeah That's kind of to sum up. Yes. And it also reminded me of like their Christmas episode moments where they like exchange their silly gifts, do their their game where it's like they, they butt heads, they, Sean's going to keep taunting him. Like all that is still true, but they do love each other. Yeah. that it it's It's very, it's very family. Like I feel like that is very much so how many families exist. you know That's very true. And like,
Speaker: Yeah, like you can't, the tension can be that high and then you can just come down from it. Like no that's kind of how it is sometimes because that's how well you know each other. Right. And like.
Speaker: And at the end of the day, no matter what happens, you still love each other. You're still family. You're still there for each other. Sometimes it just takes like an extra breath to remember that.
Speaker: into Yeah. So yeah, it will be interesting to see where, where he is with Abigail after that. Cause yeah. Where we left it was he just left dinner. Oh my gosh. i Wait. i Yeah, I didn't even realize that. Yeah, that's going to be very interesting.
Speaker: I wonder. Yeah, but she kind of seems like blase about about all this. She does a little bit. Is the next episode the Bollywood episode? Because that's interesting with Abigail, too.
Speaker: you have Next episode is High Noonish. Oh, okay. Fun. That is fun. I don't know she's even in it. They kind of go elsewhere. i don't know. yeah see i do I was thinking, I was looking into it a little bit. and I was thinking should watch High Noon.
Speaker: Okay, fair enough. That's where it comes from. That makes sense. and Let's see. It doesn't seem overly long. It's on Tubi. I was going to say, is it on our favorite 2B? Worse. And it's from like 1952 or something. Yep, 1952. Perfect.
Speaker: Oh, Grace Kelly. Fun. don't know if I've ever seen a Grace Kelly movie. Oh, it's going to be great. I'm so excited. Okay, so we'll watch High Noon. We'll watch the episode.
Speaker: We'll discuss. Yeah. Fun times. All right. Okay. Well, if you'd like to join us back here next time, we'll be here to talk about High Noon, Season 4, Episode 3, and any other fun little ramblings that we might think of in the interim. Yeah.
