00:00:15
Speaker
And I'm Dave. Welcome to Adventures in Collecting. Where we talk toy news, culture and hauls. Along with our journeys as collectors.
00:00:26
Speaker
Hello everybody and welcome back to Adventures in Collecting. Dave it's our 200th episode. Yeah, happy 200th us.
00:00:39
Speaker
May it's a birthday anniversary. It's not really like a timeframe. No, no. I collected 200 episodes. Yes, and i i it's also May the 4th, so it's like, you know, high holy day for for Star Wars fans. Fit your fate, as one Matt Cardona would say.
00:01:00
Speaker
Got my Falcon shirt on. Dave is in on the forest moon of Endor. um Just be careful. The Ewoks like the long pig.

Star Wars Impact and Nostalgia

00:01:10
Speaker
So, you know, just ah just be careful.
00:01:13
Speaker
Okay. um No, but, so yeah, this is i mean this is really cool. 200 episodes. 200 numbered episodes. So we've had more than 200 episodes. If you count the news.
00:01:27
Speaker
Yeah, so for those long-time listeners... know that, you know, we have our numbered episodes, like our full length ones, and then we have our kind of a bonus episodes. So yes, we've had more than 200 episodes, but this is our 200th numbered episode.
00:01:42
Speaker
And it happens to fall on a day that matters. It, a lot to us um we have a guest that we're going to bring on in just a couple moments here that is also really important to this show and and has been with with us for god for a very long time yeah um almost the length of our run there Yeah, and and I went back. So obviously we're going to be talking about Star Wars today.
00:02:08
Speaker
um Shocker. ah But I went back and we actually talked about in episode two of the show. Remember, so little peek behind the curtain. Dave and I were having a conversation um ah prior to the the recording of this episode. Like, hey, didn't we talk about like...
00:02:28
Speaker
our first experiences with star Wars figures at some point. And it seemed kind of like fuzzy and we couldn't place it. And we're like, yeah, I think we've talked about it at some point. Like we've never done a full toys on film of star Wars.
00:02:39
Speaker
No, but in, on, in episode two of of, adventures and collecting all the way back, back when we recorded in the same room. Yep. Before something prevented us from being in the same room together.
00:02:53
Speaker
We talked about the episode one launch. Yes. Figure launch was what we talked about. That's what I was loosely hallucinating, remembering.
00:03:04
Speaker
um So today we're going to kind of revisit the topic of of firsts with Star Wars. And we're going to talk we're going talk a little bit about, you know, how one what Star Wars means to us here in the year of our maker 2026.
00:03:21
Speaker
and um And also, you know, how we kind of got into it through toys. So before we bring our guests on, before we we we do that, a little bit of housekeeping. so um The keeping of the house, you will.
00:03:35
Speaker
it h um Keeping of the house, you will. Expect this to happen frequently as as we we will likely go off the rails a little bit. But um the one non-Star Wars thing we're going talk about just real quick.

Collaboration and Guest Appearance

00:03:51
Speaker
So we have partnered with one of our friends, one of a great member of the community, Ahsoka on Instagram to give away this month a McFarland Toys 89 inspired Joker. Not this one. This one is mine.
00:04:06
Speaker
There are many like it, but this one is mine. um there uh we are giving you away a brand new mint mint on card mint in box um 89 inspired mcfarland toys dc multiverse joker uh you can go to our instagram so that's at a ic underscore podcast um or ahsoka the geek uh and you can look for the collaboration post and you have an opportunity to win ah the joker all month um This is one that people have been like super, you know, clatering super sought yeah super sought after a long time. um We even interviewed Todd like directly about this figure and he coyly dodged it. um
00:04:52
Speaker
And but i for everybody saying it has nothing to do with this week, Mark Hamill. There you go. There you go. And we'll leave it at that. So if you're if you're interested in adding that Joker to your collection, I know it has been kind of hard to come by as well. um We were able to secure an extra one so that way we could give it back to the the community here. Yes. um Yeah.
00:05:16
Speaker
So i
00:05:19
Speaker
that's our giveaway for May. Yeah. It's no joke. um Also... It's laughing matter. love Love that Joker. Love that Star Wars, Steve. Speaking of which, let's bring in our guest. i You know him as Mr. Stevie on Instagram. Steve Evans from Hasbro the Star Wars team. Steve, welcome back to the show for what it seems like the umpteenth time. yeah As my mother knows me, Stephen.
00:05:50
Speaker
I'm Stephen. Stephen Charles Howard Evans. Hello, gentlemen. Happy birthday. Happy 200th. birthday look as good i certainly don't i have you look great i don't feel i'm knackered i am tired i'm tired but i will any talk of star wars and any talk of may the fourth and talking with you boys will always uh be like a shot of adrenaline right in the buttock just to kind of give get me up and
00:06:25
Speaker
But yeah, congratulations, 200 episodes. 200, what is it? Say it again. Is it numbered episodes. Yes, two hundred good i show i like clear yeah two hundred can that's what is numbered there yes great the canon. The adventures in collecting canon. Great, great. and this is This doesn't count as a Legends canon. yes this is This is the main time one. It's not gaming Legends. It's not, yeah.
00:06:51
Speaker
It's true. I've just noticed our color schemes here are very... Obviously, Dave is Endor. you Oh, hey, you're Empire and I must be New Hope. We've got the browns of Tatooine, the whites of Hoth, and the greens of the fourth moon of Endor.
00:07:08
Speaker
How appropriate. Who knew? it sounds like It feels like we almost arranged it like that. Yeah. Anyway, happy May 4th, anyway. Yes, yes. ah And you know we're we're super excited to have you here. and And to have you here in the capacity that we have you this time is actually something unique, because usually we're here grilling you about the latest releases and why knee articulation is the way that it is and why figures aren't in certain scales and all of these things. It's a throwback to Steve's first appearance.
00:07:41
Speaker
Yeah. number words like What number was I when you first picked that? it was early. Let's find out. I'm going to find out right now. We're going to find out right now. 13, I feel like, is pretty safe.
00:07:53
Speaker
Yeah, it's that early. That's when it was podcast. It wasn't always video, was it? I seem to remember, so if I'm honest, it's my first... interview or whatever we did, whether it's part of the numbered series or not, I remember standing in my cupboard talking to you because it was the only place because you it was podcast. It was just audio. Yeah, it was just first one yeah and I remember i was really nervous about getting good sounds. so i stood I literally stood in my cupboard.
00:08:20
Speaker
I have a little cupboard. I put it on my shelf. I spoke you. Episode 38. Oh, almost 13. I had the third right. But that was that was a long time ago. Mm hmm.
00:08:32
Speaker
i will 2020

Early Star Wars Memories and Collecting Journey

00:08:36
Speaker
we used your old we used your old headshot
00:08:41
Speaker
and i gotta this is the old headshot son i got i gotta bring i gotta bring this image up oh no don't you dare the one where i'm in like red and all like hey that's like that was only four years ago no it's not that one oh it's not that one oh it's not the one with the brick wall is it It is. i hate that one. Don't you dare, you son of a gun.
00:09:06
Speaker
Look at this. Don't worry about Revenge of the Sith or Revenge of the Mii. I was. ah I'm glad that triangle's in front of it. That's excellent. hi There you are. I've learned throughout my lifetime the more you tell him no, the more he's going to do it. yeah's There you are.
00:09:22
Speaker
there you are Dave, you're the older brother, right? Or are you the younger Yeah, I'm the older. Yeah, Eric's the annoying younger brother. I don't have any siblings, so I wouldn't know, because if you were my sibling, you'd be beaten to pulp by now.
00:09:35
Speaker
No, Eric, why don't you stop catching it? We got along great as adults. Yeah. Oh, you remember? Yeah, we had this conversation. was a pain in the backside, isn't he He was definitely seven years younger.
00:09:49
Speaker
Definitely. Anyway. Oh my goodness. Glad to here. Glad to be here. So we're excited to have you here as, as Steve Evans, the star Wars enthusiast and collector.
00:09:59
Speaker
Because ultimately at the end of the day, right? Like that's, that's the one thing that I can say. And I, I, know I know, I know I can speak for Dave plainly on this is like, you know, we've been doing this since 2019 now.
00:10:13
Speaker
And one of the things that I think is the most important to us is these relationships that we've developed with people like you, Steve, where we've gotten to know you outside of the capacity of like just to the things that you do at work. um And we know how passionate you are about Star Wars and about vintage toys. And this is an opportunity for us to just kind of like drop all the other stuff and just talk about how cool these things are and how much we love them. So, um, Fan and a collector first. I was a kid first, funnily.
00:10:48
Speaker
Kid first, fan second, collector third. Then I started doing a job. So, like, that's that's the underpin. That's the that's the foundation of this that this house is built on and always will be. And when I've stopped working, I'll still be a fan and I'll hopefully still be a kid, an old kid, wrinkly, sitting in a chair on a commode with a colostomy bag. But I don't care. I'll still be kid. I'll still have all this crap around me. That's awesome.
00:11:12
Speaker
you'll have all types of crap around you. yeah literally will well As long as someone doesn't keep it and collect it, put it in bags. oh well man. We're 11 minutes in and already way over there. Hard left.
00:11:26
Speaker
o Well, so here's the interesting thing, right? So you know three of us, three different gen you know ages across three different entry points into the- See what he almost did to us? Yeah, yeah. He said it was generations there. 15 is a generation, Eric. Dave's only seven years older than you. Come on.
00:11:47
Speaker
But so here's the cool thing though. Right. And I tell people this all the time. It's like something that I wear on my sleeve kind of passionately is i was born in 1988, but having a sibling that was seven, that is seven years older than I am. I feel more in line with like people who were kids in the early eighties and mid eighties because of all the stuff that I was exposed to. Like, you know, Masters the Universe or all performers and Yeah. And those original Kenner Star Wars figures. like i Like, you know, they weren't mine, but they were, like, like I tell people this all the time, Return of the Jedi will forever be the most important Star Wars film for me because that's the first one I remember seeing.
00:12:33
Speaker
And it's what the toys were that we had around the house because that's where Dave came into it. And to this day, like, you know, is it the best Star Wars movie? Probably not. But it's definitely my favorite because i wouldn I wouldn't I wouldn't be in this fandom were not for that film and those toys. So, you know, do I count that as like my like actual entry point?
00:13:03
Speaker
We'll get to that. But I want to start with you guys first. um What's your just kind of your earliest memories of of Star Wars?
00:13:15
Speaker
My I'll go as I'm the oldest, literally, age before beauty. David, come on now. My first memory of Star Wars was an interesting one because I so I was born in 1973.
00:13:29
Speaker
And ah my mom and dad, we didn't go many holidays. My dad was a restaurateur and worked seven days a week and like never went on holidays. late Every five years, we'd go on a va a vacation. sorry And we had friends out in California, and we went to California when I was five. So 1978, Star Wars was still in the theaters. Because remember back then, they used to stick around for a long time. i think it ran for like or something.
00:13:52
Speaker
And we had friends that lived in l LA. He was uh, uh, LAPD vice captain got some stories, but that's another, that's another podcast. Uh, and we stayed with them and we went to see star was at the, uh, the Chinese city man's Chinese city or Gromans, whatever it was, it is, or what's called ah that the quintessential place to watch stars where you see all the pictures of the people around the block. And, and when I don't remember a thing about it,
00:14:20
Speaker
The only thing I remember is the sound, is the sound of the spaceships. And I have a vague recognitionion recollection of the first opening scene with the Tantive and the Star Destroyer coming up and that just, it just carrying on and on and on and on. But my biggest memory was ah the terrifying sound of the TIE Fighters, the terrifying,
00:14:44
Speaker
and me as a five-year-old in this big, I assume it's Dolby Surround Sound even back in those days, whatever it was, just being terrified, but being sort of fascinated by it. And then I and i came home and I kind of didn't, nothing really triggered until Empire came out. And then there was a double bill in in in England and that's when I went and saw it properly.
00:15:05
Speaker
when I was a little bit older and that was when then it was just all in toys, everything. Although i did have a couple of toys, we'll get to that. But that was my first experience of Star Wars. Dave, what was your first experience of Star Wars?
00:15:18
Speaker
So for me, it was Jedi on VHS. I don't even think like, or cable, maybe even. um ah Yeah, i Star Wars, Jedi was 83.
00:15:33
Speaker
So I would have been two. So even if I saw it in the theater, there's no way I would have remembered seeing it in the theater. So we're talking like three, four years old. And there we go.
00:15:47
Speaker
And. Actually, i don't even think it was really the movie so much so as it was the arcade game for me um with the it was just the speeder bike arcade game. Both of them.
00:16:03
Speaker
Where I think it was just that the... Yeah, you're just going through Endor on the speeder bike. Yeah, that's the electric, yeah. all my All my entry points are Jedi-based because that was that was the new movie. I remember seeing the first one like when I was little, and I'm like, oh, wait, that jena more cool stuff happens in Jedi. Now, of course, as I got older, like, yeah...
00:16:29
Speaker
Empire and and Star Wars are my favorite ones, and I still love Jedi. But yeah, it was funny that like, because I had like the read-alongs and all that stuff, like I was pretty diehard Ewok.
00:16:42
Speaker
And then there was the Ewok adventure and that movie, the droids show, um and all those like 45 record read-alongs. yeah So that's something that I think a lot of people take for granted now. And I also have the ah the other two VHS copies. these are i love the I love the artwork on these. I picked these up at ah at a garage sale. they were like somebody Somebody let each of them go for $2. I don't even know don't even know if they still play, but they are in like perfect condition. Yeah, I have my THX remastered ones.
00:17:17
Speaker
and special yeah visions I love that this one doesn't even have the New Hope on it. It's just Star Wars. It would not. I really should hook up of ah like ah a VCR and show these to the the the kids. I'm sure they'd get a kick out of them. but um Speaking of VHS and and your guys' initial kind of memories of Star Wars, you know Steve, especially you, like This was not an option. Like when you didn't see it, if you didn't see it in theaters, that first one, this is prior to the VHS. Well, so here's a story. So like I went saw it 78.
00:17:54
Speaker
Now I've got to get my dates right. I've lived in like 18 homes, by the way. I've been to 12 schools, 18 homes. My mum and dad, I said restaurants, moved around all over place. So I was in a place called Thorpe Le Socken, which is on the east coast of England near Clacton, which is like a seaside town.
00:18:07
Speaker
And that was 80. So I was there for Empire. I think I moved there in 1980. it was the beginning of 80 and Empire was 80, right? um But for some reason, maybe we were super super rich. don't remember being rich. we had ah We had a VHS player. We had a video recorder, a top loader.
00:18:27
Speaker
back there And no one else, there wasn't many people in the in the little village that had one. But I had one. And I had a pirated copy of New Hope of Star Wars. So I didn't have the covers that you had. I just had this black cassette, this sort of like TBC or Sony cassette.
00:18:45
Speaker
And it was this... That's right. And it wasn't filmed off a TV. It was half decent. I watched what I would do every Saturday morning. I'd get up.

Toy Collecting Insights and Reflections

00:18:57
Speaker
um I would go downstairs.
00:18:59
Speaker
I would watch Star Wars eating my boring British cereal. Then I would do that for do that that for two hours and four minutes or whatever it is. Then I would take my pocket money. to get a little pocket money or allowance. And I'd run up the street. I was seven. Run up the street.
00:19:17
Speaker
And I would buy hubu chocolate hubba-bubba chewing gum. And I would come back home and I would shove the whole packet in my mouth.
00:19:30
Speaker
Try and blow some bubbles. And then when my jaw hurt... I would stick it on a chopstick and put it on top of my fuzzy felt box. I had this fuzzy felt box that I kept all my, and that would last me for the week.
00:19:40
Speaker
And then I'd watch Star Wars again, religiously, like every Saturday. That was it. Star Wars? Hubba, bubba. Star Wars. So I watched that. And I remember count, i had a little book i used to count. And I remember getting to about 52, 54 times, something like 50 something times watching it.
00:19:57
Speaker
Over the course of six months. But then I stopped counting after a while. But like, yeah, the video. video We had this weird. Sorry, now you're really reminiscing me. We had this. No, this is great. We had this guy come around. It was before. like We didn't have Blockbuster in England for like, till like in the 90s or whatever. We didn't have any video. There wasn't a video store. You couldn't go and get videos. You guys are well ahead of us in that. But we had a little bloke that, it was that big. Had a little bloke in a white van.
00:20:24
Speaker
that would drive around and we were in a restaurant we used to live above next to the restaurant so he'd drive into the car park the car lot and it was all gravel so i could hear him and he would come friday nights thursday night thursday nights he would come in and he'd be in this almost like sort of He would call it a pedo van, if I'm honest. it was like this white van. Creeper van, no windows. Creeper van, thank It's better word. And he would open the back and it would be carpeted and you'd go in and there were little bookcases with all the VHS. And you could go in and you would pay £1.50 and you could keep it for like a week. So we would we would hire...
00:21:01
Speaker
So when i when i could get when I could probably get a proper copy with a cover, I would hire it. But then mum and dad were like... That's amazing. Yeah, so this weird van. He's the original Netflix.
00:21:12
Speaker
Yeah, it was. He was just a man in a van. would just drive around. and that's how i He was the man in a van. Yeah, is what he was yeah he was probably arrested. Yeah. But no, that's so like videos and Star Wars, albeit pirated or out of a white van was like so, but I'm so evocative.
00:21:33
Speaker
So evocative. That's amazing. Yeah. Yeah, because like, you know, by the time i was can can remember Star Wars, obviously, know, we'll get into, you know, how important kind of 1995 was for for Star Wars.
00:21:48
Speaker
Kind of now, I guess. But like, I was very fortunate in the fact that. I was the perfect age. Like I was smack dab right in the middle of like childhood when Star Wars was effectively like relaunched, you know, like 1995. that relaunch of power of the Yeah. Yeah.
00:22:12
Speaker
yeah um relaunch of power of the force you know shadows of the empire all the video games all of the super nintendo games that came out um and and getting to see the re-releases in theaters and have stuff as cool as my god you know the the star wars trilogy theater edition like i can remember going to Was this the Lowe's and Seacaucus, Dave? Or was this the old Paramus Theater that we went to with the violas? It might have been Paramus.
00:22:45
Speaker
I feel like that was the figure. That theater had it weird... Cineplex Odeon. Odeon, yep. That was the one. i've just I've just remembered. I've just thought... so Sorry, just because you're holding that... Vader piece of artwork. I was looking that original artwork today... In my boss's office. I was having my i was having a chat with my boss... And he has that Vader painted. And I was looking it going...
00:23:07
Speaker
where where Which one's that from? and I didn't really, of course. Yeah, he's got the original artwork of that piece. That's awesome. sure I should have nicked it. I should have nicked These die-cut cards with Vader's helmet, you know, like the shape of the helmet, the old cold old school cross cells on the back, those was absolutely bonkers deluxe figures that were like...
00:23:28
Speaker
cool Cool. absolutely ninety s And it's funny because I could see it, but I remember when you got it, me being so furious at how creased it was. yeah. And, like, being like they couldn't have, like, handed out... Yeah, it says creased. So here's the thing. i i was I'm an opener. I open everything.
00:23:49
Speaker
And I never opened this because I had... um it didn't come in this case, by the way. This case is from... I think an original trilogy collection, a predecessor to the TBC. But um this literally sat on a thumbtack, like hanging on my wall for- You never opened it?
00:24:12
Speaker
Because I had- The second wall that never opened it? Because I had this Luke. already and there was no i realized there was no variation i had the all black one and i had the variation that had the the like gray sort of tunic the color the um the running change so i had this and i was like oh this is it's cool that it's got this thing i'm just gonna put it on the wall next to my star wars poster and there is seven year old what's wrong with you but that's a weird thing to do
00:24:43
Speaker
But to Dave's point, it's as creased as it was the day. This is exactly how they handed it out. Yeah, that's not like Here you go, kid. Now get lost. It was so beat up. No, it's just ushers who were like so upset that they had to do this. Just here.
00:25:02
Speaker
handing out like i got a big cardboard box. So Eric, you were 88 and that was your, that was definitely your, that was your generation of figures. And obviously you played with Dave's figures and stole Dave's figures, much to Dave's annoyance, I'm sure. Was there ever a point where the two of you would argue that like, Eric, I can imagine i can imagine you as a seven year old, I can imagine you sort like, these are better because look how muscular they are. These are better than yours. Your ones are rubbish. Like, was there any of that?
00:25:30
Speaker
going on because like dave you were like when were you born dave 81 81 so yeah so you were 14 so you were too old for the that was yes at that point yes yeah that's exactly what it was the the only figures that we played i might still have mine and mine might be in the package too or i gave it to somebody Yeah, the the fig by the time ah we anytime we played with action figures together, um when I was that young, it was wrestling figures, everything else had he had already kind of moved past.
00:26:05
Speaker
So I had free reign of everything like, you know. It was like, sure, you can play with that old stuff, which was great for me. But again, you know, being seven in 1995, I actually still had and these are just goes to show you, I guess, two things. One, how much I cherished these because these Dave can confirm, like I played with these. Yeah, they were.
00:26:30
Speaker
But I still have my original first entire first wave. You can see they got the long lightsabers. forgotten how ridiculous the lightsabers were. Yep.
00:26:41
Speaker
The original long lightsabers. But these are your your this was your first wave of orange card figures. But he did not skip chess day. So you had Luke. You had, of course, Darth Vader, who ah already a menacing character. Now imagine him just like swole as anything.
00:27:02
Speaker
um You had Chewbacca. yeah Who shockingly was the smallest of the big people. yeah The Stormtrooper with his massive e eleven yes
00:27:16
Speaker
Princess Leia. Yeah. I used to tease Mark on that all the time. It's like, what were you thinking with that Prince of Lair? I thought Ben was good. I thought Ben was cool. He was probably my favorite one.
00:27:30
Speaker
Han Solo. Yeah. Another good one. And then the two best ones. i saved the two best ones for last. These still hold up today. Honestly, you can you can put these in the background of your display. And my goodness, i my he's a little floppy these days. Look at him.
00:27:52
Speaker
Even he's got a I'm surprised they didn't triangulate r two a little bit more. And then our r two of course, with his yeah with his classic light pipe and you know he's got the tripod. That was a big thing because obviously before that you had to get that droid factory to get that third leg and it was like, whoa, third leg.
00:28:15
Speaker
But, you know, I guess ah to a degree though, you know, I was very fortunate that I was getting these in 1995 and not 1978 because in 1978, you couldn't get the entire wave of figures. You had to get the cardboard background. Here's a bit cardboard, lad.
00:28:35
Speaker
Merry Christmas. Thanks. Yeah, the the original early bird, right? The

Craftsmanship and Legacy of Star Wars Toys

00:28:42
Speaker
the early bird. That was like the first pre-order.
00:28:46
Speaker
Yeah, he was like, Lucas obviously was, we everyone knows his story, was touting around and no one wanted to take it. And then Kenner went, okay, we'll do it. And it was like, okay, let's make him real quick. We've seen the adventure people mocked up like like all the characters. Let's get him And was like, well, we're never going to get it done by then. So they...
00:29:03
Speaker
I can't remember exactly who it was, but just suddenly went, hey, we'll sell a bit a cardboard with some stickers and some bits and pieces and do it that way. I don't have one of those. I don't have an early bird. I know we made a replica.
00:29:16
Speaker
We did one for we did one later course for for um Black Series, but we did that we did one before my time. I'm sure we did one a long, long time ago.
00:29:28
Speaker
Pulling up the early bird now. Here, let's let's take it let's take a quick look at the... i think it would have been cool if that came out when it came just like as an extra in the retro box.
00:29:39
Speaker
Yeah. There. and they did the cardboard, then they did the the grey plastic one, didn't they? So i always get always get a bit hazy on the... It was cardboard, L...
00:29:53
Speaker
And then they, was it like, so you guys tell me, I should know this. and But then they did like a gray plastic molded one. But was that for like an exclusive? Was that like a Sears thing or don't know. I think so. Yeah, this is the one this is the one you were talking about, right? With the tray. Yeah, the stands almost. There we go.
00:30:17
Speaker
Yep. the the The light brown, like old brown M&M, like Obi Wan is wild.
00:30:28
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, I love i love that. the Almost are almost orange brown. Yeah. And the one that, this is the one Steve, of the one that you were talking about, right? You guys, oh, here's the the gray plastic one. is There it is. Are they the ones, is that telescopic Luke there that they've got in that picture?
00:30:46
Speaker
Wow. Geez. I don't have one those. don't have one of those. I love that illustration style. That sort of, Obi-Wan looks really cool in that illustration style would shift with the different colored tunic and things.
00:31:01
Speaker
Yeah. yeah i love that they're all they all look like the actual character art except for darth vader who just looks like a drawn picture of the figure oh yeah that's a good point they were like posed and now a word from our sponsors

00:32:08
Speaker
And now, back to the show. Yep, even with like, he even has like the vinyl cape on too. R2's a bit. R2's like the... Yeah, it is. I always used to wonder why they made his face like a face.
00:32:22
Speaker
He's got like a little pointy nose. He always looked like a little owl, like a little baby owl. He's got a little pointy, I always think nose and big eyey little lion was a a little That was actually my first, that was my first Star Wars figure, R2. Oh, this guy right here. Hang on, where's my...
00:32:38
Speaker
i mean Oh, he's going get him. All right, that's even better. mean, that's what looks like. It's not a surprise. but And this isn't my original one. This is obviously, I re-bought this, but that... Is that right? No, that what's that's that's Empire. What's that doing there?
00:32:51
Speaker
It's in the wrong cabinet.
00:32:54
Speaker
Damn it, Steve. Where is it? Oh, my God. Someone stole my R2-D2. I just realized that my all of the things that I was showing, my so my screen my screen wasn't actually sharing. It was just stuck on that one image. Yeah, it was just like, this is great, great. There he is.
00:33:14
Speaker
Yeah. So that is my little R2. Oh, OK. Here it is. A couple of stories with R2-D2. I remember one day I came to my toy box, and he was like that, and I was convinced I'd lost the head.
00:33:26
Speaker
I remember vividly going,
00:33:30
Speaker
um no, I've lost it, lost it. Mummy, mummy, mummy, I've lost my hand. And then it's like, no, Stephen, it's it's that. And I swear to God, that I've done that. The other thing is... no, does he still click? Oh, he doesn't click.
00:33:42
Speaker
A little bit. little bit. I had no idea until very recently... that the... power the force one... with the...
00:33:59
Speaker
Oh. ble half up I had no idea that that click made that go up and down. I learned that about three weeks ago. no that neither I learned that just now. I didn't know this today or so. When was doing my ranking, I was force ranking the last 17 and I was clicking it going the click and I was like...
00:34:20
Speaker
ah look it goes up No idea. But that was my first one. I bought that. My mum bought me that. Remember, I was five. I saw it. We came back and she did buy me that one. I didn't really remember the movie, but I was in, I lived in Molden in Essex before I went to Thorpe Le Soken. Keep up with the good English names. And we were in a little toy shop and the Star Wars figures were there and that that was there. And I said, oh, mommmy mummy, mummy.
00:34:46
Speaker
Those, they're the they're the toys of the the thing we saw, the film the film we saw in when we were in America. And she said, oh yes, would you like one? I said, yes. I'll have that one because it was back metal. And I can't, I'm like a magpie. I'm like a magpie. I have to steal something that's shiny. The was my first one.
00:35:04
Speaker
And then I think I got Leia. Leo is my second one, but R2 is my first one. So he's very special. i love R2. I just love the simplicity of him. Yeah. yeah and And I mean, oh fri yeah you know, you can make the argument that, ah you know, it's R2 and C3 movie.
00:35:22
Speaker
Yeah, it is. They're the narrators. They are the ones. It's there through their eyes. And as a little kid, think we're all a little bit of R2. Oh, yeah. Playing with it. Yeah.
00:35:34
Speaker
Well, now you you said you said that you had him upside down. So I immediately did that with mine too. and Yeah. I was so scared. I couldn't believe it. And then I had my friend Bryce. who was um who So Bryce Lennon.
00:35:48
Speaker
um he was Bryce Lennon, right? He was my friend when I was very young. He's actually an actor. He was in 24. So you can look him up. He's on IMDb. Don't ask me his character. I didn't watch it. da Dave was a big 24 guy. yeah Oh, yeah. You look him up. brycely And ah he was he was my best friend when we were lived in Thorpe LeSocon.
00:36:08
Speaker
And he was American. So he was like exotic in in the little sleepy English town. Exotic. And he had, he had, I've got to go and get that now. No, it's in a box. He had the droid factory.
00:36:21
Speaker
Okay. So like, I was like, because we I don't think we had that in England. I don't remember Palatoy doing the droid factory England. I was like, what's that? That looks kind of Star Wars. He goes, it is, it is. And he had, obviously you could make up your R2 and you you had the third leg.
00:36:41
Speaker
So like Eric, when we when I'm like you, i was a little older than you, I was 22 in 1995, driving like the clappers up to Toys R Us.
00:36:53
Speaker
Yeah, thank you. Yeah, third layer. Driving like the clappers up to Toys R Us in Ipswich because that was the only Toys R Us I probably, i think any in England. It was like two ah two in England. And getting those figures and getting, I was like you, I bought the whole line.
00:37:08
Speaker
and that R2 with that third leg. There's something magic about that third leg. I know that's certain connotations, but R2 with a third leg. Yeah. It was the best. Hey, if you have the one if you have that one trading card of 3PO, you've got a 3PO with a third leg too, depending on who you ask. So like, ah to was that best.
00:37:31
Speaker
Yeah, no, that's that it's an awesome first figure to have Dave. What about what about you? What was deep what was your do you remember what your first Star Wars figure had was? I don't, but I'm going to go with the assumption that it was Luke because I remember having Luke and I remember having to get a second Luke because I lost the lightsaber.
00:37:54
Speaker
Ah, the the little kind of push lightsaber that was in his arm. Um, And i I remember being upset about it, but I know I had, and I sent the pictures along because I don't, I couldn't even begin to guess where these are at this point.
00:38:11
Speaker
Oh, yeah. We know that, right? eric but no no No, no, no. I remember having the speeder bike. I remember having Wicket because Wicket was my favorite. Yeah.
00:38:27
Speaker
only to be replaced by Porg now. um I had Luke. Shouts to Porg, guys. Yeah. Shouts to Porg. Porg life. Your favorites are getting smaller and smaller and smaller. Yeah.
00:38:39
Speaker
Yeah, it's just the tiniest creatures. You must like the Anzelans. See, they're even smaller. Mm-hmm. I had Jabba and the Stand and Salacious Crumb and all that. I definitely had Alea.
00:38:55
Speaker
I don't remember which. i And my Han Solo was Han and Carbonite. The Power of the Force, Han and Carbonite. um I had a bunch of the figures. Yeah, but those are the ones that really stuck out to me. And my only vehicle was the Imperial Shuttle.
00:39:11
Speaker
I was going to say. and i For some reason, I'm pulling up and'm pulling up your photos now. The only thing you had was the Imperial Shuttle. That was like that's and the um the speeder bike were the only vehicles I had.
00:39:26
Speaker
I would suggest the speeder bike is probably one of the best toy vehicles ever made. The problem with it is that because it broke apart, that it never stayed together after it was played with enough. Oh, yeah. If you got the little hook too much, it wear away.
00:39:47
Speaker
I love that they still used that model, like that that mold, in the 90s run. So like I remember finding your speeder bike and was like blown away that, like oh, this is the same toy. like yeah These are the same. so here's Here's the weird thing. is like cause I was talking about molds and tools and things recently. like They're all like steel, and they don't last long.
00:40:11
Speaker
They've been 10, 15 years if you're lucky. But bearing in mind, if you think about it, they did Jedi. and they they sort of, Star Wars went away. Like the fact that the molds were A, kept, and B, kept in a good enough condition to use 10 years plus later. yeah I was always um like, we were lucky. that no I would suggest that was quite lucky. to be yeah they didn They reused everything, if I remember correctly. They put new electronics in the Falcon and things like that, but it was there was the same tooling, if I remember. Yeah, and that
00:40:46
Speaker
I was going to say, too, like for the bigger ships. So for like the Falcon, for the, um you know, for the X-Wing, like those were the same ships. I mean, like yeah was because it had the push down for the R2. I didn't think the original had that.
00:41:02
Speaker
They added that, but the and the sound effects, too. Yeah. Like you, you look especially the the the Falcon, like you look at the original Falcon and with the with the exception of the electronics and some of the decals, um it's effectively the same ship, which is crazy.
00:41:19
Speaker
the The job is. I'll say his his throne is not the same. um No, didn't this slide eventually like the new ones? Which, if you think about it, like, if you were trapped and it was like, alright, we're going open the doors and have somebody go to fall down the pit, like, you'd have escaped pretty easily then. Because there's just a big door swinging open.
00:41:44
Speaker
I also like that in the package photography that Luke is wearing the chain on his neck. We haven't made a layer, let's capture Luke. I think I definitely had, like,
00:41:59
Speaker
just about it. I had the Gamorian Guard and I had Bib Fortuna as well because I remember. I remember think Tessick too. I think you had Tessick. Possibly.
00:42:11
Speaker
It's good guys. Come on. But one thing I definitely the one thing I definitely remember is that the figures themselves were on clearance because.
00:42:23
Speaker
You know, at that point, there was no. yeah it's It's true. By the time you were buying them. Yeah. We're talking like 85. The line was dead by the time I was really getting them.
00:42:36
Speaker
I always remember the. But that figure, I remember being the coolest. Yeah, that is cool And I'd try to like in telling my own story, be like, all right, who else can I stick in carbonite? And it didn't really work.
00:42:49
Speaker
And it was like the thinnest plastic of all time.
00:42:55
Speaker
Now, this I put in because we wanted to talk about the molds and reuse. Oh, yeah. Like, Friar Tuck definitely looked like that in Prince of Thieves.
00:43:05
Speaker
ah ah Absolutely. it Was it Paul? I always say Paul McShane. Ian McShane. Ian McShane or Paul McShane? Yeah, Ian McShane. But the weird thing is, and i again, something I learned, this is why I do the Tall Toy Tales scene, because I learned stuff for myself. like I knew that, obviously, they'd they'd reuse the Gamorrean Guard.
00:43:25
Speaker
tool for him. But I didn't realize that they'd added a knife. they they they They didn't need to. They went in, they used the body, they put a a soft goods over him, but they sculpted in a knife.
00:43:38
Speaker
Now, you can obviously sculpt you can sculpt into a tool, you can carve into a tool, which obviously when you put plastic in, it makes the plastic stick out. So they carved it they went in and carved a knife into the tool.
00:43:53
Speaker
I'm going to assume, and ruined the tool just to put a knife on Paul McShane, Ian McShane, McShane's fried tux, and then covered it with soft goods.
00:44:03
Speaker
Yeah. I was like, I didn't know that until I got the bugger out the other week and looked at it and went, what? And they changed the details. I'm pointing at it like everyone could see it. They changed the details from like fur to leaves.
00:44:16
Speaker
Oh, they did. Oh my God. i didn't even see that either. See? Wow. Okay, all right. So I'm going to retract that because you're right. It hasn't got... That's ah that's a whole new torso.
00:44:29
Speaker
Yeah, and the the chest too is different. tip the Yeah, yeah. But the strap and the belt, obviously... The arms are definitely same. They just copied it. They just... wait ah you got The arms and legs look the same. Yeah. I'm learning now.
00:44:43
Speaker
I didn't realize that was the whole That was stupid of me. many times have I looked at that? But fascinating the forest is definitely the same. Yeah.
00:44:54
Speaker
Oh, yeah. th thieves I love those leaves. Ewoks never got tops to their trees. No, poor things. But this thing, I remember the the Imperial shuttle, this thing got got played with heavily.
00:45:11
Speaker
Like the wings broke. Oh, yeah. this I don't know if I had the cockpit cover. No, you so you had the cockpit cover, but it was held on with a piece of masking tape.
00:45:23
Speaker
Or I'm sorry, scotch tape. um You were missing one of the two cannons from the the front. ah So you were missing one of these.
00:45:39
Speaker
Probably one of the ones on the wing. Peeled off. But yeah, this this thing got some play. This I probably didn't have the door either that the the troopers loaded in and out of your star. Whatever is left of your Star Wars collection is still in your house.
00:45:59
Speaker
And next time I come over, I can show you where it is. So that way you can you can try to know where things are in your own house. Whatever is left of in the Imperial shuttle.
00:46:11
Speaker
so it's it's it's That's what I love. it's you just You play with it, things fall off, you bury stuff, you melt stuff, you blow things up with bangers and fireworks and things, and yet it's

Nostalgia and Generational Fandom

00:46:21
Speaker
still this... it Each of them is just a shell.
00:46:24
Speaker
They're well-played and well-loved, and yet you have all these memories about the things that that are missing from it. I love that. the the it and wasn't just the Imperial shuttle, it was everything else's shuttle, too.
00:46:36
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Captain Power played with the I figure out how to make it like, you know, the alliance rebel alliances shot like I didn't have a good guy ship. Yeah.
00:46:49
Speaker
Yeah. Cool. And and so when you got these, Dave, do you remember where you got them like on clearance where you get it? Were you still finding them at like KB and stuff or were you.
00:47:01
Speaker
So KB was only at the mall. um it had to have been toys r us or like bradley's or caldor um so like or a kmart like a disc like a department store effectively but i would imagine toys r us you know where else you'd find toys shockingly the supermarket like shop right would have figures because they would like but toys r us is probably the clearance spot for those because i don't know if
00:47:34
Speaker
I don't know when like Willowbrook Mall KB existed. i can tell you where it was in the mall, but um I don't know. I don't think.
00:47:44
Speaker
boy shops Oh, we had grown up in in to New Jersey. And now we don't. Well, growing up in New Jersey, right, especially where we were in New Jersey, like right outside of New York City, um we, we,
00:48:00
Speaker
we were blessed with the amount of different toy stores. Like we have like three or New Jersey company. Yeah. Yeah. So where, where I live now, I actually could walk to where the Toys R Us headquarters was like Joffrey. It's still called Joffrey way is the street.
00:48:20
Speaker
um And it's also Jeffrey way. We would always call it Joffrey. Cause that didn't look like Jeffrey spelled. Yeah. that was the way it was spelled. I realized as I said it, I learned like within the past decade that it was Jeffrey.
00:48:35
Speaker
hu Wasn't it? Helen and Jeffrey all under one roof. scott That was that there was in England. Again, I don't know how they advertised differently in America, but in in when Toys R Us opened in England, which was probably late 80s, early night maybe even early 90s, the giraffe was Jeffrey. There was another character called Helen.
00:48:57
Speaker
I don't know whether you had Helen and Jeffrey. Helen and Jeffrey, you're on the one roof. I'm positive. Unless I'm imagining it, because I had cousin called Helen and Jeffrey. And I was in eyes like, is that you? like That's not the jingle we had you didn't have You didn't have the I don't want to grow up?
00:49:11
Speaker
No, song? I don't want to grow up on the Toys R Us. Because I'm a Toys R Us We had, we had, um it's called Toys R Us, da, da, da, something all under one roof helen and jeffrey did it it it it's called toys are us look it up on youtube folks and tell me if i'm going mad maybe it wasn't helen maybe it's just jeffrey and i automatically put my other cousin to it and then i married someone good helen just because of the toys of rost jile which has all been a lie i got to go and get divorce you what if what is it called it's the um with the uh the the ah when you when you when like pop culture your brain like yellows act the mandela effect yeah you mandela mandela affected yourself into a marriage i gotta find i gotta find you keep talking i'll find the jingle
00:50:01
Speaker
it Okay. um but But yeah, like, i you know, I remember saying, you know, i i I showed off the whole first wave, right? But like, I don't remember which one was the first one that I had. i i genuinely, genuinely don't. But I can remember going down the aisles and seeing like the stacked...
00:50:23
Speaker
Isles and Toys R Us and KB of the figures. like it that That golden era of toy shopping. I also somehow had Empire C-3PO and Empire R2 with the antenna and C-3PO with the arms and legs that came came apart.
00:50:40
Speaker
Oh, you're waiting with this jingle. You found it. I found it. as play I won't show it because you don't want to get into it. Well, you might get into issues. YouTube will sort it out. Anyway. Yeah. Let's do it.
00:51:06
Speaker
Oh, Jeffrey and Helpers. It's not Helen at all. that's
00:51:18
Speaker
Well, it's called Torres O'Rosts. There you go, Mandela. It wasn't Helen at all. It was Helpers. And now the name of the subtitle for the episode is It Wasn't Helen at All.
00:51:31
Speaker
It Wasn't Helen at All. Oh my god. My life has been a lie. Anyway. well yeah here's Here's the thing, right? That's less a Mandela and more a misheard lyric, but I'm still more like on board with it. When I was at school, my teacher always just used to say, Stephen needs to read the questions.
00:51:51
Speaker
That was my like... Everything with Stephen needs to read the questions. and we go still here's Here's the craziest thing, right? So, again, we've all come at this from from different directions at different points and in you know in across the decades.
00:52:08
Speaker
But we're still here in 2026, a year off from the 50th anniversary of Star Wars. Still... talking about this. Still. Still.
00:52:21
Speaker
talk Right? Like, crazy like, so like Star Wars has, sure, it went quiet for a bit, and it's had, you know, times where there hasn't been a whole lot of, as they say now, content and media around it, right? There have highs and there have been lows.
00:52:35
Speaker
But, It's as ever-present as as ever. i mean, we've were we've got a new movie coming into theaters at the end of this month. I'm so excited for The Mandalorian and Grogu. I cannot wait. It's the first one that I'm going to be able to go with.
00:52:49
Speaker
Oh, Shadow Lord's fantastic. if you are If you are like a fringe Star Wars fan and you're like you don't know whether you want to watch it or not, please do yourself a favor. It is some... Absolutely incredible storytelling.
00:53:01
Speaker
I use my my wife as the litmus test for like the like Star Wars stuff that's that's more acceptable to like a broader audience, I guess you could say. She's not as deep into it.
00:53:14
Speaker
yeah Yeah. And she she loves it. Like she looks forward to it every week. um This will be the first Star Wars film in theaters that I am going to with both of my children. i cannot wait to share that with them. How old are they?
00:53:30
Speaker
Ten and five. And my five year old's middle name is Ray. And she we just came back from Star Wars and she got to meet Ray Galaxy's Edge. Yeah. Yeah.
00:53:42
Speaker
Did I say Galaxy's Edge? No, you said you came from Star Wars. Oh, yeah. that's Galaxy's Edge. from The Star Wars, yeah. I came from the Star Wars. um But she got to she got to meet Rey, and like she had the same like hairdo, that like triple bun situation. So Rey was very impressed by her hair.
00:54:03
Speaker
She got to be mad at the First Order for not saying where. Oh my goodness. So wait, quick story, quick story. So we wreck were in Galaxy's Edge.
00:54:14
Speaker
And so my children could not be more different from each other than they are like personality wise. Like Madeline, my eldest, she's like a 40 year old trapped in a 10 year old's body. And, and Callie is just chaos like she is her nickname as is as a baby was like bag of snakes she is just everywhere neutral yeah everything and everywhere all at once um her so her middle name is ray and she wanted to have the ray hair so we did the three bun thing
00:54:48
Speaker
And this was the first time that she was tall enough to go on Rise of the Resistance. So she got to experience this for the first time. And if you've never been on this ride, without spoiling anything for you, the you get captured by the First Order at some point in the attraction.
00:55:06
Speaker
And the cast members playing the First Order will usually pick a person or two to like interrogate and and grill.
00:55:16
Speaker
And they see this little girl with the Rey haircut. And the First Order officer leans down and goes, some really interesting that's a really interesting hairstyle choice you have.
00:55:27
Speaker
And she goes, yeah, because I love Rey. And they're like, oh, do you? Do you now? So do you know where the secret base is And she goes, I don't know.
00:55:40
Speaker
And they're like, well, you just got off of a transport and you're with these other spies. No, I'm not.
00:55:48
Speaker
And then they're like, we'll give you candy if you tell us where the rebel base is. And now her eyes are actually starting to like well up a little bit, like she's getting a little intimidated, but she goes straight to this first order officer's face and she goes, like, you know says, I'll give you candy. If you tell me where the base is, she goes, i don't know where it is and you're not going to give me candy.
00:56:13
Speaker
At which point Maddie She knew that the candy was a ruse Yeah so now Maddie who sees her sister starting to kind of like like her little sister start to stress out Maddie tries to jump in and go like oh she doesn't know anything like she's just like Callie and they're like we're not talking to you we're talking to her and now and now Callie's like oh I messed up And like both of them clam up and then they moved us to the next room. But yeah, like I'm so excited to to share this kind of like next phase. of It'll be fun. i haven't seen it. Obviously, I know a little bit, but it's it's fun.
00:56:53
Speaker
Yeah. And I i figure a good a good place to end. You know, let's wrap this up. um You guys have, i you know, I said I'm not grill you about product and everything. I promise i'm not doing that. But um this is May 4th.
00:57:08
Speaker
And last week you guys did reveal a super cool 1-1 scale Grogu. um And I mean, since day one of his reveal, you know, He has been the the Star Wars darling. And this this new release is like something very unique for you guys. Captivated many.

Speaker
Yeah, i mean it's I mean, it's an amazing piece of kit. It's an amazing character. I mean, we've we've done our fair share of Grover's, as lot of many people have. And we were just like, all right.
00:57:38
Speaker
And again,

Celebrating Star Wars Day and New Collectibles

00:57:39
Speaker
but like... Vicky and Mel and MJ and Sam have been the the real driving force behind it. I was on the periphery of that because I do fan stuff, and this is a this is this is a a bridge. It's sort of fan because of the, you know, it's expensive. It's $600, and it's super, super animatronic, but it's also...
00:58:03
Speaker
brings new people in and people that just want to bring Grogu home. So it's sort of sat in this very special, almost like a special SWAT team, mission team to kind of create this thing. And they did, like, the amount of work that they put into that, like, there's sort of like, not a dry high in that eye in the Hasbro place when that was relaunched, just because of, like, of happiness. and To be honest, it's sheer relief that they did it. Like, the amount of work that went into was phenomenal.
00:58:32
Speaker
Phenomenal. And... And I will tell you that the the final, final, final, final production model is even better than what you're seeing on in in the videos and things. like they they They're always fine-tuning. You know when we do pre-orders and things, we're always fine-tuning and fine-tuning like a hazard. Fine-tune, fine-tune, fine-tune. So they're still fine-tuning.
00:58:52
Speaker
um But it's got like 14 different sensors around. There's 250 lines of ah dialogue and oh, dialogue.
00:59:05
Speaker
And animatronics and things, and it will sense you where you are and turn to you and want to be picked up and eyelids and ears and the hair is real and it will waddle towards you and it can ah interact with like a little detonator, which when you see the movie, you'll realize what that's about. And it's got the little sort of macaron thing that he can yeah once. And then when he knows it's there, he can use the force. and you get and you probably don't even pick it up in the video you get this sort of shaking and this and then the macaron will vibrate and kind of start like it's connected with a force so it's like i just encourage people just to kind of if you can get near one
00:59:44
Speaker
when it's out, out, out, proper out, like do so, experience it, because there's nothing that a video can, video can't beat it, because we've taken it around to people, and shown it, the team has shown it to people, and just, you can't be the in the moment reaction with it, when it starts waddling towards you, and looking at you, and blinking, and it's something three-dimensional about it, you can't, you can't capture, like you can't capture it, so i'm I'm, I'm hoping that people will actually kind of get to,
01:00:13
Speaker
get to grips with it. And it's, you know, it's one-to-one scale. It's one-to-one size. You know, we've shown it to all the right people and they love it. And yeah, the the team did a phenomenal, I can't say that word, phenomenal job on bringing this to life.
01:00:31
Speaker
So yeah, it's just something completely different. It's just like, why don't we, once in a while, we just go, just go for it. Just go for it. And there's lots of other Grogu's from the movie that can come out for people who can't afford 600 bucks, who don't want to spend it on that. We've got the Snacky Grogu's and the, I forget what it's called now, the Hero Adventure venture Buddy Grogu, I think it's called. Yep, yep, yep.
01:00:55
Speaker
I'm saying it out loud, thinking, hoping that they've all been released. And revealed. Yes. Yes, I have. No, no, no, I've seen them. I've seen them in stores. I've seen them in stores. I love it.
01:01:07
Speaker
but um So that was exciting. just some Again, something different. and so yeah Once in a lifetime. If you want to if you're into Grogu...
01:01:18
Speaker
don't want i don't want to say go and get it because that sounds a bit kind of... yeah it's but like It's the perfect time to be a Grogu fan. If you love Grogu, if you really love Grogu, you're going to really love this. So hopefully you'll be able find a way to...
01:01:31
Speaker
Get your hands It's magical. yo know as

01:02:41
Speaker
And I'm also sort of starting to try and get into YouTube where I am the Mr. Stevie 18 because some other devil's got Mr. Stevie 18. And the way I look at it is almost like Instagram's your gateway drug. It's like, here's all this quick stuff.
01:03:00
Speaker
And if i got something to open really quickly or I want to kind of show some reveals real quick and I often will take imagery and kind of crop in and just do something different. I can play. That's where I play.
01:03:11
Speaker
That's where I play. And then I try and go a little deeper on YouTube because I like that longer format. I can do 10 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour sometimes where I can. That's where I learn. I literally do go there and I learn and it's a way of capturing.
01:03:24
Speaker
a it's and It's a way of researching interesting topics that I probably don't know enough about. It teaches me and I share that with people. I try and do it very simply. So, you know, people that that are maybe interested or maybe not interested in action figure collecting or retro toy collecting can kind of.
01:03:42
Speaker
get in and learn some stuff and hopefully it brings more people into the community. So yeah, I play on Instagram and I learn on YouTube. I have great fun doing it and I appreciate everybody who's subscribed and liked and all that jazz.
01:03:55
Speaker

01:04:10
