EP 34: How to fulfill the function of your soul in the face of massive resistance from your ego

Like I'm watching so-and-so do this online. If I do that, then that's how I will probably get clients too. Am I willing to do that? Yes or no? And then the decisions are made from that place.

And it's like, okay, guys, listen. Money is meaningful, okay? But the most thing that is going to drive your business and make the money for you is not the idea of having money. It's not the mission of making money, right? Like that, I don't think that actually lights any

of us up. I think making money and being free from it is actually the driver, the motivation, right? Having so much of it that we are free to experience life in the way that we desire to experience it.

So money just really equals money. freedom in that way. And so when we are looking at how do we actually build our business in a sustainable way, in a way that makes it exciting, fun, and grows and and makes us money, right?

Is it a matter of just doing what everybody else is doing? Best practices, for example? Is it about Is it about doing that thing because that's what works for that girl? Hell no.

The point of it and what's going to make you money is the meaning behind it, right? What is your function in this world? This is a really important question. What is

Your function is to be joyful and happy. That is your function as a light in this world. That is the function that your higher power gave to you.

And The Course of Miracles actually describes this really, really well in like lesson 67, I think. um But it talks about your function being ah to be a light, of course. And then as the lessons continue, the function is happiness.

And that is the only function that you are here to fulfill, right? And so... What happens is, is when you actually come at your business from that point of view, where you are literally just trying to fulfill your function, which means trying to fulfill the will of your higher power.

Okay. You start by following the seeds of joy. What are the, what's going to make you happy? What's going to make you happy is starting a business. Beautiful. What's going to make you happy is making money, um, to,

pay the bills first and foremost to have security so that you can continue fulfilling your function. Beautiful. Okay. um But then it's more of a matter of like, okay, how do we make that money?

Do we make that money by just saying like, okay, I'm here to fulfill my function and to fulfill the will of my higher power? Like, no, you have to actually take inspired action that lights you up on the inside out. in everything that you do in your life and in your business.

And so what does that actually look like? So for me, it's hilarious because do you think that i just go online and I start dancing and doing ah an Instagram video dancing because I think to myself, oh, if I do this, then I will probably get more followers. And if I get more followers, I will have more potential clients. And hell no, I do that because I have either just made a sale.

I have just helped somebody. I'm giving and sharing, right? And in that giving and sharing of my inspired ideas, I receive. And when I receive, what I'm receiving the...

the happiness and joy that is my function, right? So when I follow the will of my higher power, i am able to give what it has given me to give.

And then I'm also able to receive what it has made available for me to receive. And then it becomes this reciprocal process of give and receive.

And it's all giving and receiving in fulfillment of the function of being happy and joyful. And so i show up online and I dance because I am so excited and lit up that I can't help but dance. I can't help but be excited.

And then that excitement and that enthusiasm is literally my light expressing itself through me and other people see that and go, that's what I want too, because it's what we all want more than anything.

as human beings, because it is our true selves, right? We hear people say like, I just want to feel like myself. I just want to come back to myself. Yeah, okay, your real self is your healed self. It is your light. That's what people are referring to.

So when you are following the will of your higher power, and you're going, okay, I'm going to start this business, right?
Commitment and Overcoming Ego

Well, you have just made the first step towards committing to fulfilling your function.

And that's the most... difficult, challenging road that you could possibly take because unless you are 100% committed to it it's going to be extremely competitive and difficult. And so this is what I kind of want to talk about a little bit too, is like getting out of the competition by committing 100%.

If you are 100% committed to your path, then you will do whatever it takes to stay lit up. And that means you will do whatever your higher power is asking you to do.

And even in the face of resistance, right? because resistance will come. Your ego does not want you to do the things that your soul knows it wants to do.

Because if you do and you fulfill your function, your ego dies. And your ego knows that. It knows it is finite. It knows it's limited. So it's going to do everything it can to make you so freaking afraid of the worst case scenarios that could happen to your infinite self, right? Like you're an infinite being.

Nothing can actually happen to you. You can't even really die, okay? But yet here you are with this human body and these human dilemmas and this ego that is trying to quote unquote keep you safe, giving you false reasons to be afraid.

in the face of your soul and its decisions, right? And so all this resistance is going to come up. And this is the point in which you make the final decision.

This is the point where you are standing on the edge of vulnerability. This is the vulnerability edge. Ooh, it's so good. It's not a bad thing. i was just telling somebody yesterday, this is not a bad place to be. It's a scary place to be, but it's not a bad place to be.

This is where you go. What am I going to do here? I got two choices. Am I going to resist the function, fulfilling the function of my soul? Am I going to do the thing that is going to make me the happiest?

no matter what it takes, right? Am I going to ask for the will of my higher power and for the ability to do it and to carry it out no matter what? Those words are really important. No matter what. This takes courage.

This means you do things without knowing what the outcome is going to be. That is what the vulnerability edge is. It's standing on the literal edge of the void and looking down at all the teeming possibilities, the endless possibilities that live with the infinite possibilities come infinite uncertainty.

That is why it is so terrifying. And that is why 99% people back up. from that edge and they will not take that leap.
Choosing the Soul's Path and Embracing Uncertainty

They will not take that next dive, that one dive. That's just like when you're digging a hole in the ground and you're trying to hit water, right? You're digging and you're digging and you're digging and you cannot dig anymore because you've already dug so much.

You've already done it for so long and it's been fruitless. You have not hit water. And it's that one more dig that's going to hit that water. This is that point that you're at when you're standing on the vulnerability edge and the resistance is freaking there because it has not happened yet. Whatever it is, whatever the outcome is that your heart desires most, it hasn't happened yet.

You have not fulfilled your function. But you know in your heart of hearts that this one thing would change it all. So now you have a decision to make. You either follow the fear of your finite, terrified ego, the thing that's going to die when your body dies and it's always trying to protect you by keeping you, holding you back, right, from your infinite potential.

Or are you going to make the decision to follow the path of your soul, the one that takes more courage than most people are willing to emit in their lifetime?

That is the decision. That's why it is so challenging to commit to this because that is the decision you make in the midst of having a real family, of having real bills, right? this is the These are the decisions we they that we make for like financial decisions. These are hard decisions.

But ultimately, we know. We know what stands on the other side of those decisions. And it's not just like financial fulfillment, right? Of course it's not. It's not just fulfillment of your function to be happy and joyful and free, which is ultimately what brings in the capacity to receive abundance in every form, including money.

It's also that you are making a declaration to yourself and the universe that you will follow the path of your higher self no matter what. That is the felt experience of being in relationship with something bigger and being able to convey that, express that to other people so that they too can walk that path with courage because you have now reaped the infinite results of doing so.

And they can see that they don't have to be so afraid, right? And that they too can follow the path of their soul. Even when it feels so terrifying, you do not have to follow the fear.

This is the declaration. I will not take action out of fear ever again. I will literally just stay still until I get direction one way or the other.

And if it's scary, I'm still going to do it because it's direction. Fear is not direction. Fear is fuel from your ego. It is food for your ego. And the second you give into it, you are feeding your ego and you continue to live from that place because it's what you're practicing.

So it's for you to decide what are you practicing today? Are you going to practice defeating your ego and living out of fear and following the fear and taking action from that place, which is not fulfilling your function as a light.

It is not the felt experience. That is not you being the experiential example of what's possible. when you don't do that, right? And when you follow the function of your higher power, or are you going to follow your higher power no matter what and do whatever it is asking you to do, no matter how freaking scared you are and decide that you are actually discerning. You do actually know what that voice sounds like and that it is not just your ego,
Living in Wholeness and Teaching from Infinite Potential

You know the difference because you know the intention behind it. And that's the only difference that you need to know right now is that there's an intention behind one. And the intention is to keep you freaking small and safe.

to be able to do whatever it is that you wanna do on your own, that's being small. That's keeping your possibilities limited. That's keeping you in a box. That's keeping you so safe that you will always know the potential outcome.

You will always be able to plan for it, right? And ultimately, you'll probably be able to hit these goals. You'll be able to do these things all on your own. in the comfort of your own cage as one person, not connecting to the infinite mind and the other infinite minds that are connected to the one mind.

Because that's where full-on limitless potential possibility lives. It does not just live within the one. It lives in the whole.
