We will preview that as well as review some controversial decisions from UFC 310 that ah he thinks didn't didn't didn't treat him right in his picks. This is a little bit of a first we'll start with the salute to all of the people that were willing to embarrass themselves and go dressed up as Santa to the New York City Santa con.
Speaker: which is a huge, huge bar crawl of a bunch of Santas or people dressed as Santas running across New York City drunk. um Sounds like a hilarious, really funny time that I actually would probably want to go see ah all these people. I would not personally dress up as Santa, although shout out to my mom, an avid watcher and supporter of her son who put on an amazing work holiday party last week. a Shout out Maggiano's for the treatment. Shout out my girl Sonia.
Speaker: Uh, I shot them out. They don't deserve that. Actually, I was about to shout out somebody I shouldn't have. Um, so anyways, uh, but it was a great party. My mom dressed up as Shayna, put on a great time. It was awesome. All right. Enough about that.
Speaker: in the news, ah the pop culture news about update of the story that will be the TikTok story that we talked about last week. So y 'all last week we talked about how in the first Donald Trump ah term of his presidency, he had introduced a possible ban to TikTok, right? Because China owns TikTok. And so since China owns TikTok, they have all of ah the Americans information that all the citizens that we have on there, which is a lot, 170 million domestic users of TikTok, while all of their information now ah belongs to the Chinese. And so in an effort to ah curtail that,
Speaker: in an effort to cut off what could become future security concerns between countries of having each other's data, things like that, ah the US had told China that their company ByteDance, which is the parent company of TikTok, would have to divest there ah the US holdings to a US corporation. So then that ah the the data would then be stored in the US, the data would be held by a U .S. company, worked at by U .S. people, all of those things that will keep it Americanized instead of in foreign hands. And so I'm really surprised that it even got this far. I figured something else. I figured it would have ah either figured out by now where China would have sold off, um you know, their portion to the U .S. for some undisclosed amount of funds um or that it would have just
Speaker: came to enough of an uproar, enough of a, 170 million people, that's a lot of people. And you're gonna have a lot of tweens, a lot of you know teens, a lot of kids, a lot of, even some adults, I mean, shout out, go check out Clubber D, the combat G, he is on there, clubber .d. Check out his TikTok account, ah promoting the ball and buzz, he just put up a new video today. but So there's a lot of people that will be very, very upset if TikTok went away.
Speaker: TikTok is not only used as a platform for dancing and trends and fashion, which is all great for, don't get me wrong, but one really advantageous part of TikTok, and i I as a professor of social media, of digital marketing to small business owners, one thing I teach them is if their product or their service can be used by their target audience on TikTok,
Speaker: then they would definitely want to be using TikTok as a channel for their brand because of the fact that TikTok is actually turning into a huge search platform, a search engine.
Speaker: social media in general has increased its share of the search engine market. No longer are these younger adults and kids and teens going to Google to find out answers. No, no, no. They're going to TikTok or other social media platforms to find their answers. And so that's really crucial going into the future. They haven't taken out a huge chunk thus far But they have taken out a very small percentage of the search landscape from Google and from Bing and others. So we're really see what what would happen here. This would be absolutely little monumental if they were to shut it down. It has worked at information security and all these other things. I agree with this. I think that.
Speaker: i don't I don't use TikTok personally ah because of that exact reason of the Chinese being able to have the data that you put and everything you put on there. ah But I do realize that a lot of Americans do use it and I do realize that it is an essential platform for many people that don't want to lose it. So while I understand that it's probably not going to happen, it's probably what's going to most likely happen is China is going to sell for some undisclosed amount of funds and it will then be held in America where again you have Americans handling American information. um I would think, that again, the backlash and uproar will be too much for them to actually ban it, ban it. But again, if you know how I feel, I think that that sort of thing should be ah very heavily protected, if not outright banned. Now, again, I can't do that at this point because so many people use it, but
Speaker: In my eyes, knowing what I know about foreign countries and foreign adversaries of the United States, that's something that's very important is that you information security and things like that. But anyways, all right.
Speaker: Let's go ahead and move it on into sports since we got a little bit of a delay there at first. If y 'all are just tuning in, I appreciate it. I checked and I could hear myself just fine.
Speaker: um And I was talking, and weirdly enough, even though there was no sound coming out for 10 minutes, five people were still watching the stream, which I find to be amazing. Because if I would have heard that there was no sound, I would have stopped watching.

Speaker: Sports first of all we'll get into our rankings so women's college basketball still got a shout out my lady Bruins at 10 and oh number one in the rankings you have South Carolina moving up one spot to number two at 10 and one Notre Dame moves up to number three at nine or nine and two they moved up five spots a huge jump there UConn moves down two spots. They are nine and one at the fourth rank, and then you have LSU, who is now 12 and oh the Lady Tigers here in women's college basketball.
Speaker: um They're at the number five spot moving into men's college basketball, ah Tennessee. Yes, those volunteers shout out to Knoxville and the volunteers down there. They are 10 and O in the number one position. Auburn is nine and one at the number two position. Iowa State follows them at number three, nine and one, Kentucky at nine and four, 10 and one, and Duke.
Speaker: is at eight and two with the number five spot your men's college basketball rankings. Duke comes in at number five moving on to our NHL rankings we look at the top teams of this week the Minnesota wild still holding strong from last week, a 19 five and four record at number two, the Washington capital shout out to the DMV, where I am currently residing right now for the time being. Speaker: for a little while in the holidays. Anyways, the caps are 19, six, and two. At number three, the Winnipeg Jets are 21 and nine. The Vegas Golden Knights at number four, 18, seven, and three. The Florida Panthers come in at number five at 18, nine, and two. Watch out for the rematch of the Stanley Cup Finals but ah last year.
Speaker: coming up this week, the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Orioles will go to battle. And a huge shout out to my Los Angeles Kings coming in at number seven with a beautiful 17, eight and three record playing over their head. Oh, that's an NHL term if y 'all did not know.
Speaker: Anyways, the NBA, the NBA cup, uh, the Emirates cup to be specific. That is the new m NBA's in season tournament. And we are going to the finals and the finals is going to be the 20 and five Oklahoma city thunder.
Speaker: ah They have been great all year and the scariest part about it is that they're one of their best players, their second best player after SGA. Chet Holmgren has been injured for almost two months with a broken pelvis. He is ready to come back in the next few weeks and that is only going to make them so much better. They've won five straight games and own a net rating of plus 20 in those five games. They will go up against the Milwaukee Bucks at 14 and 11.
Speaker: Milwaukee is saying, don't forget about us, y 'all. Y 'all wrote us off for dead. Y 'all said that we weren't going to be good after we won the championship and we went downhill and we fired a blue nose and we fired Griffin. We picked up Doc.
Speaker: Everybody want to, uh, you know, crap on doc. I know hot take Jake like to always give his opinion on doc, but now y 'all haters can be quiet. Cause doc always proves in the long run of good of a coach. He is, uh, they have won 12 of their last 15 games while Chris Milton is still trying to get back in the mix, but I'm just a cool book. Yeah. And Damien Lillard look awesome together. So let's take a look at those power rankings for the week. The aforementioned.
Speaker: ah Oklahoma City Thunder move into your number one spot. They have the number one ranked defense in the league. um Number two, the Cleveland Cavaliers at a 22 and four record. They own the number one offense in the league at number three my boston celtics at 21 and five awesome uh blowout of the wizards last night uh what a great game that was they are the number two offense in the league at number four the dallas mavericks uh are the number four offense in the league and they come in with a 17 and nine record and again those gritty men
Speaker: Those gritty, excuse me, Memphis, Memphis. I was, I was first, I was going to say grizzlies instead of, which is what they are. Gritty men. Instead of Memphis said mentalist. I don't know if it was like Memphis and syphilis mixed together. I don't know why I would say that anyways, but anyways, uh, the Memphis, the gritty Memphis grizzlies say that five times fast. Peter Piper picked a pepper packer pickup. How much wood could a woodchuck chuck? If a woodchuck could chuck wood.
Speaker: Well a woodchu woodchuck would chuck too much wood if a woodchuck could chuck. I just made that last part up. I know that's not how it goes. Anyways, the Memphis Grizzlies with the number, with top five, get this y 'all, you know how big I am if you watch the bottom line sports into NBA um and pretty much any sport. If you have a top 10 offensive and defense, that makes you a championship contender, especially in the NBA. And Memphis is top five in offense and defense. So they are definitely a championship contender that we need to watch out for.
Speaker: um Moving into the NFL. So the NFL this week, the MVP race has heated up and now it is down to just the quarterbacks. I know how this year I stumped all year long for Derek Henry and Saquon Barkley. And yes, I normally do anyways, because I like to make sure that other people other than quarterbacks are getting a shot at the MVP. I don't appreciate how quarterbacks are the only ones that ever get a shot.
Speaker: So i I was stumping for them, but unfortunately, Saquon Barkley only has 65 yards. Derek Henry had a little bit better of a game, but still not that great of a game while ah in the past two games.
Speaker: Josh Allen last game had three rushing and three passing touchdowns for a total six touchdowns. And then Lamar Jackson followed that up this week with five passing touchdowns. Not to be mistaken, Allen then comes back and has 200 passing yards and two rushing touchdowns and being the first ah quarterback to do that in a long, long time. So these two quarterbacks are really, really excelling this year. Now, obviously, the past two weeks, Allen has been playing better. But if you look at the overall stats, yards, rushing yards, TDs, Lamar Jackson is ah ahead in all of the different ranks. But yes, Allen has been playing better as of late. I think it's going to be an awesome ah race to the end. That being said, do consider the schedule. Allen and Buffalo schedule pretty light.
Speaker: Pretty light. The pats twice, the cheating, cheating, cheating patsies twice, and the New York Aaron Rodgers jets. That's a pretty easy schedule for Josh Allen to completely and totally eviscerate. By the way, look out for a new show coming soon from Ball and Buds. Total evisceration. All right. That was pretty cool. I said I like that.
Speaker: That made me pop. um The Ravens, Steelers, Texans, and Browns are on their schedule, so not as easy as a schedule. So if you're just looking schedule -wise, it would seem to be that it would be Josh Allen's MVP race to lose at this point.
Speaker: Moving into college football, as I mentioned earlier, college football playoff starts this Friday. Indiana visits Notre Dame, gonna be an awesome, awesome college football playoffs, awesome weekend. Really looking forward to that. Shout out to Navy who defeated Army for the first time since 2021. And in that time, they also won the Commander in Chief trophy because they beat the Air Force as well earlier in this season.
Speaker: Navy and Army had both winning records, which is usually not the case in the service academies because they play. ah Well, obviously, first of all, not even who they play, but it's because of the fact that they have so much, so much more, many more commitments and hours that they have to put in the day than any other football team.
Speaker: across the nation. um But there's also held to a higher standard. They also don't have any highly highly ranked, usually don't have any highly ranked recruits, things like that. um So to have a winning record and to ah display the but bravery, sacrifice and courage it takes to be a a future soldier and a soldier in training, shout out.
Speaker: to all the Navy and Army and Air Force students, um you know, out there at these service academies. And we appreciate your presence and future service.
Speaker: That being said, we look at the Heisman st Trophy was awarded this weekend to Travis Hunter. Yes, the amazing. Wow. What a great player he is. He is a two -way standout, which means that he plays both offense and defense, which in football is pretty hard to do. It's not like Shohei Ohtani in baseball because you're getting hit.
Speaker: all the time so for him to and for him to play two really physical positions that are uh they're not like offensive and defensive line or anything but um you know as a cornerback and he he is one especially he will come up and make the big hit he will come up and take on uh you know tacklers when he catches the ball he doesn't shy away from contact Uh, but he's going to be awesome. I can't wait to see him on Sundays in the NFL. He received the most prestigious reward. Excuse me. I need that water real quick little parts there. He edged out runner up Ashton GNT, the running back from Boise state who ran for 2 ,500 yards and still
Speaker: has bowl games to go could possibly break and probably will break Barry Sanders, the legend, his college record. This was the closest Heisman race since 2009 with Alabama's Mark Ingram top. Stanford's Toby Gerhart. Wow, what a bunch of throwback names those were. The Colorado Stars, the first player to start on me defense, especially since Michigan quarterback and Raiders legend Charles Woodson shout out to Charles Woodson, love me some Charles Woodson. ah Back in 1997 he did similar to what Travis Hunter was doing except

Travis Hunter was, which makes me want to take you back even a little further to somebody I love just a little more than Charles Woodson, another Raiders legend and my favorite football player of all time, wide receiver and shout out my brother D clubs, the rich clubber D's brother, who was also a Raiders fan and his favorite player, wide receiver, Hall of Famer Heisman trophy winner, Tim Brown, who played offense,
Speaker: kick returner, punt returner, and did all these different things. So there are have been players before Travis Hunter, but he is something else and something more special than previous versions before him. So we'll see what he decides to do in the NFL. He says he wants to play both ways, ah not going to be able to happen in the NFL. It's just not possible with the I'm not gonna say it's not possible. It is possible, and it should be done, but it should be done at a very low level on the offense. What do I mean by that? I mean that he should be your starting quarterback. Cornerback, excuse me, he should be your starting cornerback, since that is such a valuable position and one that is very hard to find really, really great cornerbacks, which he is already and would be um you know coming into the league right away.
Speaker: why receivers are easier to find, um but also you would put in a package for him on offense. ten ten to fifty five ten fifteen plays a game and just let him start on defense throw him out there kick returner pop returner if you wanted to although that's always risky due to injury um but i would definitely try to get him involved on all three phases of the ball uh and i think he's going to make a huge huge uh influence impact now if he wants to make money not that he really needs it because let's be honest Since 2022, he signed more than 20 NIL name image likeness deals. Just last week he signed to Adidas. That's on top of United Airlines, Celsius, and Nerd Wallet. So, you know, shout out to him for making that bread off of his talents. You got to make that guap when you can.
Speaker: ah Damn, I took it back. Anyways, but if he really wants to make some guap, he got to be a wide receiver. The wide receiver is the way to go. Obviously, you've got these people getting paid. jefferson Justin Jefferson excuse me tops the list at $35 million da while Dolphins cornerback Jaylen Ramsey is the highest paid defensive back at $24 million. That's more than that's $11 million more. Obviously, it's ah it's a big difference when it comes to money. Now, obviously,
Speaker: ah You know, it all depends on, I would think you want to get as involved in possible as possible and get the ball in his hands as much as he possibly can. So we'll well you know we'll see what happens but I'm really excited to see him, you know, come in on Sunday. All right, let's go ahead and hit those rankings real quick. The Philadelphia Eagles coming in at 12 and two, uh, wow. They are just kicking ass every which way. And I know that they've had the coach beefing with the quarterback and the quarterback and the receiver having disagreements and, you know, areas that people not so are so and so and so not get well, if not getting along as being 12 and two, sign me to hell up for not getting along. Cause we can be 12 and two and not get along all day. You know, the people I've worked with before in my life that I didn't like.
Speaker: Well, I didn't want to work with, I shouldn't say don't like, I like most people. um I get along with most people actually, but there's been certain people I didn't want to work with just because they got on my nerves. I just didn't know how to do the job. It was incompetent or just a tattletale or whatever that case may be a snitch. Snitches get snitches. You know, I go, um, if we, if we are, I give it to you this way.
Speaker: I used to work for a company and I used to have a team. And as a team, we produced chef kiss results within our digital marketing program.
Speaker: But we didn't all get along. We didn't all get along. ah ah yeah Hey, we had some we had some arguments, we had some disagreements, we had some days we didn't talk to each other, but you know what? We got the damn job done and we made money for the company and that's all that matters.
Speaker: sure ah Moving on why I had to tell that personal antidote, but Buffalo bills at 11 and three in the number two position. Wow, they've been on a roll as well. Little a season late considering I predicted them to go to the Super Bowl last year.
Speaker: Uh, at number three, the Kansas city chief 13 and one, but watch out Patrick Mahomes with an ankle injury. So we're going to have to see what comes of that he right now. They're saying he's week to week, but ankle injuries, especially high ankle sprains are very difficult for NFL players to come back from the Minnesota Vikings at number four are 11 and two and the Detroit lions, even though.
Speaker: that game was really hard fought one of the best games of the year. And they've had a very, very, very exciting games the past few weeks. But the fact that they lost and NFL dot .com is moving them down to number five. OK, that's fine. But they're still, if not the best, one of the best teams in the league. I still have them at the top personally, even over Philadelphia. I just think that they've endured too many injuries. And we're seeing that come back to haunt them a little now. So we'll see.
Speaker: You know, we'll see how they can how they can make it work. I do want to share one thing before we move on to the news and get you out of here for the football game. The college football playoffs, as I mentioned, start this week. And since I gave you the bracket last week, I do want to share with you um what the projections are here in this bracket. So you'll see.
Speaker: that I showed you last week. The bracket there it is again so you can get a quick look at it. Remember that Oregon, Arizona State, Georgia boys state all buys this weekend. This left hand corner right here. This is going to be your matchups for the weekend, starting with that third matchup on Friday. So going to be an amazing weekend of football because you got the other three games, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas, Clemson, Penn State, SMU on Saturday.
Speaker: But what I want to show you today is the projections. This comes from the athletic. Shout out the athletic. I subscribe. I pay for the membership and it is giving me awesome, awesome information. So I do want to make sure I shout out to people at the athletic, especially one of my boys and our boy here at one of our NBA insiders here at Ball and Buzz. Our boy Dave DeFor. Y 'all go check out the new and NBA Daily podcast featuring that guy, Dave.
Speaker: All right, um so look at this, Oregon. It'll show you, what I want you to move your eyes to is the right -hand side, which says post -season odds. And I want you to take a look at those last two columns where you see the percentage to make the championship game, and then the last column, which is the percentage to win.
Speaker: the championship game. So, ah you can see that Oregon has a 20 % chance to win the championship. Texas followed, hot take Jake's Texas at 18%, Ohio State at 17%, and then Canteen's Georgia at 12, Penn State at 12%. Those are your top five to win the championship this year, the first ever college football playoff championship. And then your top five to make the championship are going to be the same teams, but you can see when I click it, it comes to a little bit of a different order. Georgia actually moves up, and this is because of the playoff match -ups themselves, where they're playing at the teams they're playing.
Speaker: But as you can see, that does make a little bit of a difference, Ohio State moves down in chances to make the championship. But then if they do make the championship, they have a better chance to win it than other teams. So it's just saying they have a harder road to actually get there. That's what that is explaining.
Speaker: But again, I just wanted to come and show y 'all real quick before we get this started as I hit boxes everywhere for some reason. and um I don't know why I had to make that big of an arm gesture, but you know, we love you here. ah Oregon is your top 20 percent. And then again, I think Jakes, Texas at number two are your top two couldn't contenders for the college football playoffs. All right. So.
Speaker: um Now, now that we've done our pop culture in sports, let's go ahead and move into the news so I can get out of here because my Raiders come on in. We have two Monday night football games tonight, which is awesome. I actually like the two Monday night football game. Falcons versus my Raiders. Raiders have no reason whatsoever in um God's greener to win this game. And if they don't go out and tank this damn game, shaking for Shador, baby, we are shaking.
Speaker: For Shaddaa. And I don't care if Aiden O 'Connell is healthy enough, you bench that sucker, you throw Desmond Ritter out there, and you hope to lose. You hope to lose. I know I shouldn't say that, but we have the number one draft pick right now. And you know what that means? We have the pick of the litter, baby. The pick of the litter, baby. Whoo! Speaker: started talking, thought that was cool, saw people watching, didn't get any feedback that I wasn't saying, thanks for sticking through, but you could at least gave a brother a shout out, you know what I mean, help a brother out. My mom, God bless her soul, I love my angel, she came and helped me out and and told me that she couldn't hear me, so I started it over again. I ran through my pop culture sports park portion, we talked about TikTok, we talked about Sanicon, we talked about all the different sports news,
Speaker: And then when I was going into my news, my U .S. and world news portion of my show, I hit the Ric Flair sound effect and for my Raiders getting Shador Sanders. And unfortunately, um yeah I couldn't hear it because my backing track on my soundboard wasn't up.
Speaker: Um, I thought I had it plugged in the right, uh, position, but apparently it needed to be plugged in. The backing track was not turned up all the way. So that's why I couldn't hear it. So Rick flair was woo, woo, woo. The last 20 minutes of my damn show, you couldn't hear nothing. My mom told me, so I went back, I saw it. I was like, Oh, you got to be kidding me. Why does this always happen to me?

So if y 'all didn't hear there's been so much craziness going on in the world right last week we talked about serious former dictator Bashar al -Assad who was
Speaker: Basically run out of the country by rebel forces These rebel forces after they took over um but Bashar al -Assad was nowhere to be found ah There were rumors that his that he was either in Russia safe ah under Putin With obviously, you know refuge there or that his plane disappeared and it could have been that it was a emergency landing shot down something like that ah Now, news came out yesterday and a release on Bashar al -Assad's official Facebook and Telegram channels say that he is in Russia and he is safe, and the reason that he left was not planned, but when he went to one of the Russian bases on in Syria land, that the combatant forces, his forces, had already abandoned the base.
Speaker: I don't know if this is true or not, y 'all. A lot of times when these things happen, you have to take these statements for a grain of salt until you actually find out later. This could be all contrived by Putin. For all we know, Al Assad may not even be alive. So just hold your horses on what you're hearing here, but just know that there's a lot of stuff going on in the Middle East. And obviously, as you know, with Russia and Ukraine, this is all going to blow up.
Speaker: Even more and it was no pun intended. I apologize for that This is all going to get worse and the hostilities and things are going to escalate now. Hopefully ah Syria is able to establish a democratic You know country that they the the the rebel forces say they want to but again How likely is that? Hmm. I'm not going to give you a percentage, but I'm going to say right now I'm not feeling too great about those prospects All right, moving on and elsewhere in the world, in South Korea, ah president South Korea president, excuse me, um impeached. So if y 'all didn't hear about this story, ah South Korean president Yoon Soo Yul, a couple of weeks ago, tried to enact martial law. And when he did that, pretty much the whole country just pushed back on him.
Speaker: so He reversed course within 24 hours. He was like, no, and no, no, no, no more mouse martial law. We're not going to do that. I'm sorry. I apologize. But it was already too late. The other party jumped on it. Right. And tried to impeach him. ah He survived because his party defended him and all voted for him.
Speaker: ah But then the other party tried again just this past weekend on Saturday. His party this time did not provide the votes needed to save him in his presidency. So now the South Korean president, Yoon Shook Yul, has been impeached. And again, this comes right after Syria, right? We're having a presidential change in this country going from Joe Biden to Donald Trump. I'll talk about Trump here in a couple of seconds.
Speaker: um So there is just change and possible evil all over the world. We need to make sure that, I mean, obviously you're staying out of places that you don't need to be in. Some countries are not for Americans. Seems to me some Americans can't understand that and end up and in North Korea or or some of these other places they really shouldn't be all over the world. um Don't be stupid. Don't be stupid. When they say play stupid games, get stupid prizes or whatever, or FAFO.
Speaker: Which I heard you can actually say that now on YouTube. I'm not gonna say cause my mom's probably watching right now But you know, it's all good. We know what that means All right, anyways, so we'll see who they appoint there Cool. Moving on to U .S. news. As I talked about, we would talk about Donald Trump in this episode. And yes, Time magazine has named Donald Trump the Times Person of the Year. This comes after he was already previously named Time Person of the Year back in 2016. And so ah you would, you you know, you're going to ask, OK, well,
Speaker: Well, I guess you would only ask this if you had a problem with, you know, Donald Trump. And that's up that's completely up to whoever's on this program. I don't compel to know any of your of what you all believe in or or or care to. That's your business.
Speaker: Uh, if you don't like them, you probably won't like this, but that's, but the problem is this is not about popularity. It's not a popularity contest. It's not the high school, you know, prom king and queen. This ain't the president of your class, right? This is who is the most newsworthy person of the year. So again, whether you like them or not, does not matter at all. He won this back in 2016 and he won it again now because he is the most newsworthy person. I'm talking about him right now and I'm not even a news company.
Speaker: but all the media outlets talk about him 24 -7. So he deserved this award. It was the right decision to make now. It was the right decision to make in 2016. And it might've been even the right decision in 2020 when we had COVID. And I'm not gonna lie to you, his press conference briefings at the White House were appointment viewing because I would die laughing the whole damn time from anything that he said. So, ah you know, hey, he's a newsworthy person. He spikes to stay in the news. I mean, if you're talking about an influencer, as someone who teaches social media, he is yeah That ah he beat out Vice President Kamala Harris, ex or Twitter owner Elon Musk, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Kate, the Princess of Wales. All right, moving on. ah Drones, drones, drones, drones everywhere.
Speaker: So that's all everyone wants to talk about this week are the mysterious drones flying over the East Coast. They've been seen in Jersey. They've been seen in New York. They've been seen in Maryland over in the DMV right where I am at now where I'm in Virginia, but I'm very close.
Speaker: um so What is up with these drones you say? Some of you may even ask, what was this rumor about a Iranian mothership ah carrying drones? Okay, so i would like to I would like to first tell you, as a professor of digital marketing, getting as a professor of social media, as someone who knows the internet very, very well, you should not believe everything you read and or hear on the internet.
Speaker: but
Speaker: As practices, you should probably research your first is doing research on every topic that I played on talking about because I don't want to look like an idiot and I don't want to make a mistake and sometimes I still do make mistakes, but it's not from lack of research, it may just be because I messed up talking that being said that this guy did not mess up talk.
Speaker: Pentagon um denies the claim that there is a Iranian mothership ah that has deployed deployed excuse me drones to the East Coast. This rumor was first ah put out there by a Republican representative from New Jersey, Jeff Van and Drew, who claimed to have very, very high intel.
Speaker: um When anybody claims that they know a lot of of things or have a high degree of sources, you may want to question that. Again, do your research. right Let's not just believe just because he said he has a high level of intel and that actually means he knows what the hell he's talking about because he damn i'm sure don't know what the hell he's talking about.
Speaker: okay now does Iran have a mothership, a mothership, so to say. ah They have drone ships. ah They have three of them. ah But they're all stationed right now, according to the United States in Iran, off the coast of Iran. So it's not them. And it's not a mothership either. Don't let people scare you with these buzzwords. um it And what you're seeing now, if you're on the East Coast, ah yes, sometimes you're going to see drones. Other times they are actually manned aircraft.
Speaker: ah Other times, even constellations, I have to i have to. uh you know make fun of or at least give light and ingest to uh one uh you know a politician from new jersey i'm not going to even mention their name you can go look it up but this fool decided to say that he had seen a drone and someone community noted him on x and said this is clearly the o 'ryan constellation i'm like you gotta be kidding me really please people don't let other people tell you that things are happening that may not be actually happening
Speaker: There are just regular drones out there y 'all are identifying airplanes misidentifying airplanes as drones some people are just buying their own drones to make it look like it copycatting and all this stuff. There is no reason to be worried right now, this is nothing like the weather balloons.
Speaker: that word came from China a couple years ago y 'all remember when those were floating across now that is something to worry about why because most most advanced countries that have surveillance operations have weather balloons that act as surveillance uh vehicles or surveillance uh uh you know yeah i guess surveillance vehicles is the best way to put that And so, yes, most of the advanced countries will have those sorts of surveillance techniques. And while drones are used for surveillance techniques, especially in war and used for other things in war, out of the 5 ,000 reported sightings, only 100 of them needed to actually be investigated because they weren't just regular drones or planes. And the Pentagon has obviously ruled out with code by the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the White House
Speaker: that you all do have nothing to worry about. I completely agree. I mean, I can tell you from experience that these things somehow and usually get out of hand due to conspiracy theories that are provoked by people in high places like this ah dumb representative who I decided to name him because he deserves to be outed for putting that crap out there because all you do is scare the population. um And scare tactics are not good because it brings a frenzy to the public.
Speaker: That being said, there were a couple of people that were arrested in New Jersey, a couple of gentlemen for flying drones near Logan airport. So again, y 'all don't be stupid. You know, you can't fly drones in airplane space. You know that you know, everybody knows there is a portion of the, of the, around the airport that is specifically a no fly zone. So if you're going to do it, you're going to get arrested. And not to mention y 'all.
Speaker: if just because you might be dusty as clubber D likes to say or you might be broke and not able to afford a drone I know a lot of people that have drones one of my best friends down the street has a drone my cousin owns a drone hell I own a drone now I've never actually flown the drone that I bought because I'm very much like my mom, shout out my mom who I was ah lamenting her purchases yesterday because she will buy something and then not use it. But then I thought about the drone. I bought that on sale as well, which is are both of our excuses. And then I never actually used it, but I even have a damn drone. So it's not like any normal, regular human can't have a drone in flying. So let's just all back it up a little, little bit there.

So if you remember back in 2006, The Duke Lacrosse team had three of its players that were accused of ah sexual assault and rape right outside of the college campus. um This was the accusation of a exotic dancer who went by the name of Crystal Magnum. Wow, y 'all. 18 years later,
Speaker: 18 years later in a podcast last week, the Let's Talk With Kat podcast. I don't know how these podcasts that I've never heard about get the most crazy scoops, but shout out to Kat, whoever she is. It turns out that this Crystal Magnum actually said that she made up a story that was not true because she wanted validation from people and not from God, which was her I don't know what the last part has to do with anything, but the fact is that she basically and she didn't basically she came out and admitted that she falsely accused them of all of these different crimes that they were charged for. um Now these charges were eventually dismissed.
Speaker: as the uh as you know the prosecutor and the and the uh defense attorney went uh the prosecutor alleged the then then uh district attorney alleged that these crimes had been committed but obviously the defense then came back and said no uh they are innocent the whole case fell apart in 2007 after her story started to have some holes and started to uh unravel a little bit uh now what makes this even crazier y 'all is that not only was did they let it get that far a year later to for those ah those young students those gentlemen to be charged but there was not even any credible evidence of an attack there was no DNA that was ever found um um
Speaker: which seems very weird in a case like that. You would think that, and obviously we all know that sometimes bad police will you know place things on people that maybe didn't belong to them. ah But um to actually take a case forward when not having any DNA is crazy. That's a diabolical word. But What's even crazier about this, if y 'all didn't know, Crystal Magnum was actually incarcerated five years after the initial charge in 2011 because she fatally stabbed her boy.
Speaker: She has been in the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women since then, and that is where she stays now, and that's where the podcast was done. Damn, maybe you guys just find like prisoners and go do interviews with them. That would be a good idea for a podcast if you might want to do that, because they let like news journalists and stuff into to jails and prisons. Anyways, I don't know why I got off there. Anyways, but that's crazy, man. that's That's jacked up, yo. yeah smashed up That's All that stuff, those those kids at the time went through, basically, they're still college students. I mean i know they're wealthy, come from affluent families, could probably have afforded, the child but that no one deserves that, especially if it's not true. So you know a big screw screw you to her for that, honestly. um That's messed up, and she deserves to be where she is, not only for ah cut for you know obviously killing her,
Speaker: her boyfriend, but we're trying to accuse and ruin the lives of otherwise three upstanding that we know gentlemen. Now I don't portend to know their actual lives, ah but as far as we know, they haven't done anything else where it would have been in the news. So that's just a bit messed up, ah screwed up on her part. And if my mom wasn't watching, I'd have a couple other things to say to her, but maybe I'll save that from my mind to the professor.

Speaker: We can't keep having this. We can't keep doing this, man. Now, if you saw me yesterday, you're probably I'm probably lucky that and my mom's probably happy um that i that that episode got ruined last night because I was a lot more pissed yesterday. And I said a lot more things in all of these stories that I probably shouldn't have. um ah And so i'm more I'm a little more not as mad as I was yesterday. I had a lot of lot of different things I was frustrated and upset about yesterday, but this one always gets me the most. And I said, I would talk about this in my mind of the professor that I was going to do a few months ago, and then I ended up not doing it for a month after the incident happened. And so I decided that I didn't want to exploit tragedy. ah And I unfortunately knew that at some point it was going to happen again.
Speaker: And I'm sick and tired of it. I'm sick and tired of this shit, y 'all. Another damn mass shooting at a school where children are supposed to feel safe and secure.
Speaker: A learning environment.
Speaker: where an adult or a former student in this case can just come back and take the lives and injure so many people.
Speaker: And it's not even the fact that this happens anymore, that this is surprising ah because this is the record number, obviously it goes up every year of school shootings that we have in this damn country.
Speaker: You know where else they don't have school shootings? Most of the rest of the damn world? Probably because they don't have guns in those countries. But I digress. I don't want to take your guns away.
Speaker: I believe that people should be able to protect themselves. I believe that you should be able to own a gun in your home for self -defense. I believe that if you want to go hunt and kill a deer, because I don't give a crap about no damn Bambi. They done done ruined three of my cars driving so I could care less about Bambi. You want to go shoot Bambi in the head? be off By all means, go ahead hunters. I don't care. But aside from that,
Speaker: We don't need all these guns on the street. We don't need guns available in every single store on every single corner of every single city. And again, I'm not trying to take away no way is good. We need protection. Obviously, that amendment is there not only for the ah protection of people in their homes, but also the people from the government itself. I get it. I know what the amendment is there for. I was in the military.
Speaker: That doesn't mean we need all these extra guns roaming the street. That doesn't mean we need weapons of war on the street or in the hands of any individual. Now, in this case, it was a nine nine millimeter, which just, ah in my in my eyes, just understates my fact and confirms the fact that we need to have less guns on the street and less guns available for people to get their hands on.
Speaker: because this is unacceptable. And I'm not just going to blame it on guns, so don't worry. Oh, don't worry. I'm getting to my second part right now, which is going to be mental health.
Speaker: Do you know why we have so many homeless people out on the street right now? That most of you like to walk by and say, oh, they're crazy, or you turn away from or you don't give a shit about.
Speaker: Most of those people didn't get there because they want to be there. Most of those people don't stay there because they want to be there. The majority of them have mental health issues, which in this country we decide is not enough important enough to address so that a 15 year old girl can go back into a school and shoot for former students because she feels like no one cares about her and no one ever offered to help her.
Speaker: Now granted there are other underlying factors to this story. She was in therapy and she just didn't like her therapist, but her parents never cared about her. That's always going to be a problem in society. If you don't have, uh, it doesn't have to be parents, but loving adults, grandparents, uncles, aunt, someone to teach you the way. Of course you're going to get yourself into shit. I had the best parents in the world and I got myself into a bunch of dumb shit when I was younger. Cause I did stupid crap.
Speaker: but i didn't go I'm not gonna go kill anybody. I'm not gonna go do something like this. So clearly there are levels to that, the mental health issue. And i if you've listened to my podcast or my shows, you know wholeheartedly, not only do i do I support the need to clean, to secure and help the homeless, but also mental illness, also mental health.
Speaker: Because I deal with it myself. I've dealt with depression and anxiety for almost my whole life. I deal with anxiety every day I'm dead. I can't sleep most nights because I have too much anxiety.
Speaker: So the mental health is real. Don't let anyone tell you it's not real. And don't let anyone tell you that you're being less of a man or less of a woman because you're not able to you know admit that you may have some mental health problems.
Speaker: I thank God and thank my mother and and and my father and my friends for getting me out of that stage. I'm a lot less depressed than I ever was 10 years ago. But I still deal with anxiety all the time. I still deal with a lot of times where I get depressed about shit. Mental health is real. We need to cure this epidemic in this country. We need to have more mental health specialists, more people. We need to have free therapy, free healthcare care for the mental health.
Speaker: just like we should be offering free and transitional housing and free access to jobs and mental health for our homeless as well. We got all this damn money in this country. You telling me, you go sit here and tell me, you go look me straight in the eye and you go tell me that we have all the money in this world to waste on stupid Stupid government programs. Now you got to bring in Elon Musk and Vivik Ramaswamy to do the Doge program just to get bring money back. We waste all this money on other stuff. with Look, I agree with helping out the Ukraine people to a certain extent, but we send billions of dollars over there, but we can't get our the owner the homeless people off of our own streets, get them into the care that they need, get them jobs that they need, set them up for future success or at least try.
Speaker: because people complain so much about them and want to pass them by when they're out on the streets, walking and talking to themselves and oh my God, is this person gonna hurt me? Oh my God, this person is crazy. Well, instead of judging, why are we not helping?
Speaker: That only makes it worse. That only makes the mental health epidemic worse. So then when you mix things that you don't want to fix as a country,
Speaker: And every time, every a school shooting happens or a mass shooting at a concert or whatever happens, it's always T's and P's, right? It's always thoughts and prayers. Thoughts and prayers are amazing. Everybody deserves thoughts and prayers. Thoughts and prayers to all my friends and family right now. May God bless you all. But thoughts and prayers don't help the victim.
Speaker: Thoughts and prayers don't put butts back in the seats of families that are now missing children and other people that they have lost due to senseless violence that didn't need to happen if we had mental health reform and if we had gun reform.
Speaker: sad yeah It's It's sad. that we cannot, and I don't even have a kid. I'm not even a parent. I don't even know what it is to love a child. But I know damn well that every kid should be able to feel safe when they go to school.
Speaker: I know damn well we shouldn't be having no conversations about arming teachers or uh x -rays and uh x -rays or uh metal detectors in school or uh dated and dead bought dead bolted locked doors like we're in the damn castle of grayskull and we're damn he -man trying to put what what are we doing Kids should be able to feel naturally safe in that type of environment and shouldn't have to worry about that sort of thing. And when we've gotten to that point where people need to worry about that sort of thing, maybe we should do something about it.
Speaker: But the problem is, y 'all, don't nobody care. Our officials, they just keep keep just keep feeding us nonsense.
Speaker: one side wants to fight it just because that's their constitutional right and you know and I agree again I'm not trying to take guns away from anybody I'm really not I agree you need your protection but there is definitely a point where there should not be so many guns available in stores on the streets or anything like that first of all I should not be able to go down uh any city in any uh part of America and see a gun store on every block that don't make no damn sense If you need to get a gun, you should have to work for that shit. You should have to travel. I need you to drive at least 30 minutes. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't need you to go into Walmart and be able to go buy something that you can just come back in my backyard and shoot me with. Because I'm brown and you don't like my skin color.
