Speaker: Hello, I'm Ryan and this is You're Not Watching That.

Speaker: It's the podcast where I'm finally catching up with all those films I should have seen.

Speaker: But my parents, they wouldn't let me.

Speaker: If you've listened to the 16 episodes before, you probably surely know that by now.

Speaker: But if you're new, welcome.

Speaker: This week, we're heading to Santa Carla with Michael, Sam and their mum to live with their granddad.

Speaker: Sounds alright, that, doesn't it?

Speaker: Nice new start for life and everything like that.

Speaker: But if you go down to the fairgrounds, you'll see things are a bit dark and twisted.

Speaker: Directed by Joel Schumacher.

Speaker: It's the 1987 goth classic.

Speaker: It's time to meet the Lost Boys.

Speaker: Hey, how we doing, Dan?

Speaker: We've got an outfit and everything.

Speaker: Brought the visuals.

Speaker: What are you talking about?

Speaker: Oh, is this your normal attire, is it?

Speaker: I've got...

Speaker: These sleeves have got that.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: It's a lot.

Speaker: I can't really do it.

Speaker: How do you spell zhuzh?

Speaker: Jay.

Speaker: It's got like, look at them.

Speaker: Look at that.

Speaker: Look at that.

Speaker: That's quite the look.

Speaker: You really want to go out like that, don't you?

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: My hair was a mess anyway, so I thought I'll go with the headband.

Speaker: It's very 80s.

Speaker: The glasses have kind of ruined it slightly, but this is a shirt that I was wearing on the weekend dressed as Macbeth, and I thought, goth as fuck.

Speaker: I love it.

Speaker: I love it.

Speaker: So, uh, lost boys.

Speaker: Uh, this is the first time that you and I have, uh, not seen the movie together.

Speaker: So, uh, you know, do you want to, do you want to get into it in the, in the things you do before?

Speaker: Well, not straight away, because it's... I've got the format already, haven't I?

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: I mean, let's be honest with you.

Speaker: You've just been doing a Sheffield Wednesday podcast.

Speaker: I've just been doing a Forest one.

Speaker: So I was about to talk about the 14-second run down the pitch from Alanga to square it for a one a year.

Speaker: And 2-1 isn't that bad when we lost 5-0 there last season.

Speaker: But anyway, that was football.

Speaker: It's a different thing.

Speaker: And now I'm a vampire.

Speaker: So, yeah, how's your week been, Dan?

Speaker: Or two weeks?

Speaker: We went on for two weeks.

Speaker: How you been?

Speaker: It's been a bit slow, if I'm honest, mate.

Speaker: The Albanians kicking off at work again.

Speaker: So that's pretty much it.

Speaker: That's been dominating my entire head.

Speaker: Headspace.

Speaker: I went to the Brecon Beacons for a party with 15 people and I've just about returned to earth.

Speaker: I genuinely thought I'd either come back haunted by a Welsh ghost or I've ruined my system so much that I couldn't walk or think.

Speaker: I thought I was going to look like Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac who went off on one and was like, that's for a

Speaker: seven years but yeah i'm back now as you can see everything's everything's great with raf um so yeah as you said dan uh are you gonna hit the theme tune or we're gonna drop it in afterwards because it's the things i knew before just gets better and better doesn't it um so i feel like we should almost do a trade-off on this i've got three i'll do one then have you got one you knew before and go like that yeah yeah let's do it

Speaker: So my first one is the look of them.

Speaker: I've seen the look of this film quite a lot, as you can see.

Speaker: What about you?

Speaker: uh i remember i remember cry little sister featuring in this because as you know i used to dj in a strip bar in skegness not as glamorous as it sounds and um and one of the girls used to do a big routine up and down the pole and uh on on the stage and um and yeah i remember that being uh you remember you used to steal music from limewire and it says cry little sister lost boy's soundtrack on my dj system

Speaker: Joe, funny story about that once.

Speaker: I was, when I was at music college and I'd won this award for songwriter and they sent me to Italy and one of the guys who was one of the tutors there was in a band called Dubstar in the 90s and a song called Stars, which was quite a big hit in the mid 90s called Steve and I knew him really well, he's got drinking and that and he saw my iPod at the time and his song Stars came on and I'd put the graphic on the front and it said nicked off the net and he went thanks, stole my song.

Speaker: It was just reminding me of that for some reason.

Speaker: The next one I go for is the music actually ties in with that song about Thou Shalt Not, whatever.

Speaker: I knew that one.

Speaker: I had to look up who it was and thought I'd never heard of him.

Speaker: And for, spoiler alert, for anyone who's going to watch this film, listen away now for five seconds.

Speaker: I knew there were vampires.

Speaker: Oh, did you?

Speaker: Did you know?

Speaker: I think I knew, actually.

Speaker: In fact, I think if I'm honest in terms of things I knew before, I think this kind of started that genre of output.

Speaker: Twilight.

Speaker: Yeah, all that.

Speaker: I've just realised when I do this.

Speaker: Look how zhuzh they are.

Speaker: How do you spell zhuzh?

Speaker: Come on, have a bash.

Speaker: J-J-U-J-Z.

Speaker: See, I'd have gone with Z-D-U-G-E.

Speaker: Zhuzh.

Speaker: Can we do it?

Speaker: I'm going to put... Apparently it's spelled J-U-S-Z-C-Z-Y-S-Z-Y-S.

Speaker: I'm pretty sure I used to play centre midfield with him.

Speaker: Polish lad.

Speaker: There was a lad at a school called Richard Mystician and you should have seen how Mystician was spelled.

Speaker: It was unbelievable.

Speaker: It was like M-C-Y-S-Y-C-C-Y.

Speaker: What's that?

Speaker: Mystician.

Speaker: Right, okay.

Speaker: That's what all American rappers, if you put Lil in front of it, that's how they spell it now.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Lil Richard.

Speaker: Oh, that's Lil Richard.

Speaker: I think it smells.

Speaker: So overall, though, so you didn't see this one back in the day.

Speaker: Do you think there's a reason why you didn't see this, but you saw someone get their arm blown off?

Speaker: I tell you, it just never appealed to me because by then, right?

Speaker: So by the time you and I would have been nine, 10, when I started to watch all these movies and I wanted to try and absorb the culture and become a bit of a cinephile and whatnot, the thought of a...

Speaker: teenage vampire movie just kind of... It didn't tickle my fancy.

Speaker: It wasn't something I wanted to do, and it seemed a bit girly, if I'm honest.

Speaker: And also by then, the mullet was already starting to have been derided at this point.

Speaker: So I kind of went... Honestly, the haircut genuinely put me off.

Speaker: I think... Obviously, it's difficult to go back and look at it, but in my head, I'm like...

Speaker: it was all about the trailer back then so you'd have seen the trailer and gone oh and I've not seen the trailer for this to actually see if they go get the teeth out and shit but I'd be going how many people went and went oh bloody hell the vampires who was shocked who went the lost boys oh this is about them lads from Peter Pan

Speaker: Go and give that a watch.

Speaker: Is it Rufio?

Speaker: Oh, no, we haven't been out at that point.

Speaker: Because the hook, obviously, hook, hook, give us the hook.

Speaker: Always makes me laugh in that film.

Speaker: You know when hook's coming down the plank and all the pirates are like this?

Speaker: It's a real small detail, but loads of them are going, hook, hook,

Speaker: give us the hook with his little tiny finger.

Speaker: But yeah, that's the only thing that's amused me of it, that someone's gone, I've been wondering what's been happening to Peter and Wendy and Michael and all that, and, you know, and doodles, whatever they're called, from Peter Pan.

Speaker: Bloody hell, it's gone a bit ropy, hasn't it?

Speaker: Surely everyone knew that this was a vampire film.

Speaker: I don't know, it just...

Speaker: Yeah, I don't think it's the big Darth Vader reveal that, you know what I mean, that they thought it might have been.

Speaker: And I'm pretty sure that it shows you them flying in the trailer.

Speaker: I think I did watch the trailer before I watched it.

Speaker: Because a few of the early deaths are death from above, which I'm going to come to and talk to you a little bit about what I thought about what they've done with that.

Speaker: So this is a different one because we're not going to probably go through it in the usual way that we do with what I saw versus what you saw.

Speaker: So, I mean, I'm going to start off with this, that the fairground is a thing for me I'm going to bring up.

Speaker: Does anyone else in Santa Carla do anything other than go to the fairground or buy videos from Max?

Speaker: I'm pretty sure it's like the Bay with Karate in Karate Kid.

Speaker: Everybody just does that one thing and they're all just completely subscribed to it.

Speaker: But the interesting thing about the fair is that...

Speaker: Even back then, when you think it's kind of a modern day thing or something that didn't really kick until the mid to late 90s, is that you still had wronging kids knocking around the fair.

Speaker: The bigger boys come round and ruin it for everybody.

Speaker: Yeah, they weren't that bad, though.

Speaker: I must admit, there was a bit about, we'll talk about it, Ron, where it says about Twisted Sister, that really made me laugh.

Speaker: But there's, yeah, I mean, he looks at Rangan, doesn't he, old Kiefer?

Speaker: Oh, that's another thing as well.

Speaker: I never watched 24 all my life.

Speaker: I never watched it, right?

Speaker: And it wasn't one of those where I was going, fuck it.

Speaker: I just didn't get around to watching it when everyone was.

Speaker: So when I first really heard his name, I had no idea.

Speaker: Kiefer, I had no idea how to say that man's name.

Speaker: Kiefer, because you don't get many Kiefer's where I'm from, do you?

Speaker: No, no, no.

Speaker: There weren't many in Robben.

Speaker: Did you watch, so did you watch 24?

Speaker: I tell you what, I came to 24 late.

Speaker: Do you know when a series gets really popular and it's got more than about three or four seasons and you go, oh, I'll get around to it.

Speaker: And you inevitably never do because you know there's so much.

Speaker: And then normally around the fourth and fifth season, it becomes news then.

Speaker: People start talking about it online and sometimes... It's a bent television.

Speaker: Yeah, and all of a sudden then, you're kind of like, well, I know the twist that happens in about 46 episodes.

Speaker: So it kind of puts you off watching it, doesn't it?

Speaker: But 24 was a really clever program.

Speaker: I think the only issue I had with it is that Kiefer Sutherland wasn't believable as the character he was playing.

Speaker: He seemed a bit too old, for one.

Speaker: Oh, was he?

Speaker: And a bit too short and wimpy.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: But however, it is great television.

Speaker: It's a solid 8 out of 10.

Speaker: And the way it's still... This one's good.

Speaker: It's a take-em.

Speaker: He looks good in this, though.

Speaker: I think he looks well in this.

Speaker: Oh, I think he looks like a 13-year-old man trying to play a 16-year-old.

Speaker: Oh, I don't know.

Speaker: I don't know the sort about that.

Speaker: It's a bit like in Gremlins where you've got the one with the mohawk and it's like, oh, he's the badass because he's got the blonde mohawk.

Speaker: It's like, oh, hello.

Speaker: Because some of the other lads are blonde.

Speaker: What do you call him?

Speaker: Belas Preston Esquire is there, but he's not looking half as scary, is he?

Speaker: No, he's got some proper jerry curls as well.

Speaker: Just rubbish.

Speaker: That used to be my thing about knowing Bill S. Preston Esquire and Ted Theodore Logan.

Speaker: I thought I was the man for knowing that as a kid because obviously I hadn't seen any other fucking films.

Speaker: But what I will say with this is we said it with me and you discussed it this year about Succession, which I've never seen.

Speaker: And the missus was mad on it.

Speaker: And she went, God, you need to catch up.

Speaker: The new season's coming.

Speaker: Now, I did that with Game of Thrones where I'd watched maybe one or two.

Speaker: And then I caught up like three series before the last one started.

Speaker: I went for it because I was into it enough.

Speaker: Succession, I watched the first episode.

Speaker: I was like, right.

Speaker: Okay, he's a dick.

Speaker: They're a dick.

Speaker: All right, whatever.

Speaker: Then I didn't bother.

Speaker: And now they kept going, have you seen Succession yet?

Speaker: Have you caught up?

Speaker: Just let it go.

Speaker: It's going to go.

Speaker: It's fine.

Speaker: I'm not going to catch up.

Speaker: I watched the last episode with her.

Speaker: So I watched the first and the last episode of Succession.

Speaker: And I kind of went, I think that was all right.

Speaker: I think that was a way of doing it.

Speaker: Do you know what?

Speaker: You've missed absolutely nothing, right?

Speaker: Everybody's telling me, oh, Succession's great.

Speaker: Succession's amazing.

Speaker: There is not one character I like in it.

Speaker: There is, in fact, the only person that stands out is the British fella from, is it Spooks?

Speaker: Can't remember his name.

Speaker: Yeah, but I didn't like him in it, which is the thing.

Speaker: I thought he was rubbish as an American.

Speaker: So I was like, well.

Speaker: I mean, I can't really talk.

Speaker: Honestly, Succession is going, hey, what about this money?

Speaker: Well, I'll have it.

Speaker: Well, you can't have it.

Speaker: Well, why don't I have it?

Speaker: Well, you're not having it either.

Speaker: Well, what are we going to do?

Speaker: And that's every episode.

Speaker: It's every single one.

Speaker: It's just people going, well, you know, I could just look after the massive multi-million dollar company if you want.

Speaker: Well, you're not having it.

Speaker: Thanks for saying that, though.

Speaker: All right, no worries.

Speaker: And that's success.

Speaker: It's shit.

Speaker: I don't understand.

Speaker: It's just people talking about things.

Speaker: It's like Star Trek Next Generation.

Speaker: What happened to fighting the rubber aliens?

Speaker: It's just people doing politics.

Speaker: Danfors does not like succession, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker: Same with loss.

Speaker: Loss, I didn't really get into.

Speaker: But just, again, I don't think... I think some of them, I didn't have Sky or something when it was only on Sky, and it was before streaming was easier to do.

Speaker: And after six years, all my mates were like, what the fuck, Oli?

Speaker: And they all went, wasted six years.

Speaker: I thought, I did.

Speaker: That was all right.

Speaker: The ones that I've genuinely thought I'm going well off topic in a sense, but it's kind of 24 is a big thing.

Speaker: It's not like us.

Speaker: Hey, at least it's not hair sandwiches.

Speaker: It was to do with Game of Thrones.

Speaker: I said, I kind of all right.

Speaker: It's got a lot of Northern element in it and a lot of fancy stuff.

Speaker: But the other one was Breaking Bad, which I came to kind of late and caught up with.

Speaker: I just thought it was phenomenal.

Speaker: Although I hear Better Call Saul is meant to be just as good as well, which I don't see.

Speaker: I tell you what, you find a big change in Breaking Bad.

Speaker: The first two are situational comedies, like dark sitcoms, where they go, it would be really bad if this happened.

Speaker: Oh, look what's happened!

Speaker: And then you can even see it on the front of the DVDs.

Speaker: On the front of season one and two, it's them in their hazmat suits like this.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker: And then by season three, it's like a half moody shot of them looking old or whatnot.

Speaker: Like, yeah, we're wrong-uns.

Speaker: Now we're taking on the Mexicans.

Speaker: Yeah, we've just been down to a Dagobah.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Let's bring it back quickly.

Speaker: Yeah, that's where he's from, for fuck's sake.

Speaker: Let's bring it back to this film.

Speaker: So here's the thing I need to add to this.

Speaker: I've never seen all of the Goonies.

Speaker: I mean, it probably isn't a shock, although it is probably a kid's film.

Speaker: I've seen maybe two thirds of it in different times.

Speaker: I mean, caught like the last bit and then gone.

Speaker: Oh, I'll miss that.

Speaker: And then come back.

Speaker: This is a goth Goonies.

Speaker: I'm glad you said that.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Have you got that on your notes as well?

Speaker: Yeah, I've written exactly the same thing.

Speaker: It wasn't what I thought it was going to be.

Speaker: I didn't expect it to turn into this Home Alone Goonies escapade by the second half.

Speaker: I must admit, I was like, what the fuck is happening?

Speaker: Because one of those kids is from the Goonies, isn't he?

Speaker: Yeah, the most dislikable one.

Speaker: And when you asked me before, why have I never seen this movie?

Speaker: I can't abide Corey Feldman.

Speaker: Why not?

Speaker: There is not one thing he's been in where I've gone, oh my God, Corey Feldman's in this thing.

Speaker: It's like Shia LaBeouf.

Speaker: There's only one output Shia LaBeouf has done where I've gone, shit, that was brilliant.

Speaker: And it's a movie called The Peanut Butter Falcon, where he meets up with a guy with Down syndrome.

Speaker: And it's weird and it's wonderful.

Speaker: It's such a great movie and a wonderful performance from him.

Speaker: Every other Shia LaBeouf performance and Corey Feldman can get in the same bin.

Speaker: The Corey Feldman?

Speaker: Corey Feldman.

Speaker: That's where Shia LaBeouf lives.

Speaker: Not just a vampire.

Speaker: Good at puns on the side as well.

Speaker: I've already got an idea that I like this film more than you.

Speaker: So they end up, obviously, families going down.

Speaker: The kid who's like the younger brother, Sam, I feel like I know him as well, either from memes, like he's going like this to a Nintendo or something.

Speaker: Is that right?

Speaker: It's not the same guy, but it is the same look.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: He's got a really funky name, the guy on the meme.

Speaker: It'll come to me in a second.

Speaker: But yeah, so Corey Feldman and Corey Haim in this movie had their own sitcom together in the 80s and 90s called Embrace Yourself.

Speaker: The Two Corys.

Speaker: That's what they were called.

Speaker: Because of their chemistry.

Speaker: Unfortunately, Corey Haim passed away in around 2010.

Speaker: Oh my God, he did.

Speaker: I was just trying to look him up.

Speaker: Dead.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: And yeah, life of a child actor, bless him.

Speaker: And he had a bit of a bit of a wrong time of it.

Speaker: As did Feldman, to be honest.

Speaker: But, you know, he stayed with us.

Speaker: But yeah, I can't abide either of them in this movie.

Speaker: uh what i don't mind the young kid i think he's all right for it because he's doing that kind of thing of what you do obviously granddad's just off on the tap and stuff and doing weird shit in his room i like granddad going this is my fridge don't fuck with those bits i kind of like that that's fine the mum that is diane vice isn't it i think so i've seen her in quite a few different things um and she always seems to play that kind of woman i love um i am sam that film diana vice yes right

Speaker: And she plays like a really ditzy, is it agoraphobic where you don't want to go outside?

Speaker: Is that right?

Speaker: Is that the right way around?

Speaker: Yep.

Speaker: She plays someone like that.

Speaker: And you see, I like I Am Sam because it's Beatles based.

Speaker: And also Sean Penn plays this really, he's like really mentally not very well, like underage brain.

Speaker: What's it called?

Speaker: You know, he's got like the brain of an eight year old, but he's in his 30s.

Speaker: he's got to look after this little kid who's Dakota Fanning and she plays like the woman across the road who doesn't leave her house but she's obsessed with the Beatles so he talks all the time because John says he's like that you'd probably hate it but for me it's Beatles songs and it's kind of something yeah you've not sold it I'll not lie I'll lie

Speaker: I've wanted to watch it less after you describe it.

Speaker: What's quite nice about it is he's got some friends who are from, kind of like Michael Keaton from Dream Team, where they're all a little bit like, they've all got a few problems.

Speaker: A bit like when they used to play football with those guys in Skegg against the local firemen.

Speaker: Did I tell you about this?

Speaker: So there was all these... Oh, God.

Speaker: I'm ready.

Speaker: Let me get my notepad here because I feel like this is going to be gold.

Speaker: No, it's not.

Speaker: It's not.

Speaker: I'm going to clip it for TikTok.

Speaker: It's difficult to tell this story in the way we used to tell it because of different terms that will be used.

Speaker: So.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Do your best.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So growing up, my dad had a mate who was a couple of years younger than him and was a bit, my dad took him under his wing because he was bullied quite a bit for being a bit slower than everyone else.

Speaker: And he was really lovely to come around and see us and he'd do things like ride into a grave on his bike or forget to put his feet down at traffic lights and fall on the car next to him and stuff.

Speaker: So, but lovely.

Speaker: Now he, stop it, we're on video now.

Speaker: So he used to be part of like a group who used to look after all these lads and do stuff for them.

Speaker: My dad used to tell us the dream team, you know, they're good lads and whatever, and they'll come and, they used to like playing football at the local sports centre.

Speaker: Now we were Skeg Town juniors, so probably 17, 18 year old, really fit lads.

Speaker: We used to go and play five a side all the time.

Speaker: And these lads, the bloke who looked after him, Terry or someone, he was like, do you want to come and join us?

Speaker: We play the local firemen every week.

Speaker: And my dad was like, yeah, we'll get involved.

Speaker: My dad always likes an underdog story.

Speaker: So we join up with them.

Speaker: There's one lad stood in the corner, bless him, just like on his knees, slapping the wall with his hands.

Speaker: It's just all going off.

Speaker: There's people arguing left, right and centre.

Speaker: They're just not, they haven't really got the cognitive stuff to get team sport down.

Speaker: But the trouble is, the firemen,

Speaker: gave zero fucks.

Speaker: They wanted to win this 25-0.

Speaker: And these range from a young athletic lad who was obviously cock-a-hoop around the town to some older firemen who were like, let's just smash some poor, mentally challenged lads all over a sports centre.

Speaker: So you threw us in.

Speaker: So you've got 17-, 18-year-old lads playing as well with these lads.

Speaker: Oh, my God.

Speaker: When a goal went in, it was like the world – it was the joyous, most joyous thing, like the celebration.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: From the fireman?

Speaker: No, fuck it.

Speaker: The fireman.

Speaker: But there was two things.

Speaker: There was one bloke who stuck out in my mind really well called Terry.

Speaker: And that is his real name.

Speaker: Now, I've never in my life seen a fella like him.

Speaker: It's hard to describe, but I'm going to describe him as he was and hopefully we'll still stay on air.

Speaker: He's a white gentleman, but he had the most pure afro you've ever seen on a white chap.

Speaker: Very, but he had a weird voice like that.

Speaker: He's a bit like, a bit like, all right, mate.

Speaker: What are you doing?

Speaker: He's a bit like, all right.

Speaker: A bit hard to pick out from up north.

Speaker: Anyway, so Terry's in the corner trying to get the ball.

Speaker: And there's this young mixed race fella from Fireman who's kicking the ball.

Speaker: You know, it's five side.

Speaker: He up against the wall.

Speaker: Kick, kick, kick the ball.

Speaker: And then he starts kicking the shit out of Terry on the floor.

Speaker: Terry's gone down.

Speaker: Terry's about four foot nothing.

Speaker: All like that.

Speaker: And he's just kicking the shit out of him on the floor.

Speaker: and we go whoa jesus christ you know i was like what the fuck's going on and he went fuck off like that to this terry so we went up to terry and said something like oh god i don't know how to tell this story very easily so he got all right this is the challenge terry what happened he went well i looked around and i thought to myself oh there's bad name and he went mixed race kid and he went so i went hello bad name and that's why he was kicking the shit out of him on the floor

Speaker: So we're all going, what the hell?

Speaker: So we get a penalty near the end.

Speaker: This is the final bit of the story, I promise.

Speaker: We get a penalty at the end.

Speaker: And our goalkeeper for Skate Town had gone and goal for the fireman, Jamie Naylor.

Speaker: Let me down in a playoff final once, bastard.

Speaker: Anyway, thought it was going around the post, left it.

Speaker: Bottom corner, went in 98 minutes.

Speaker: Never got over it.

Speaker: So Terry's going to take his penalty.

Speaker: Pulls up his socks.

Speaker: He's got them kind of crispy shorts on that you wore at school and all that kind of shit.

Speaker: Here we go.

Speaker: And he points where he's going to go.

Speaker: And obviously, Jamie Naylor's going, all right, I know what's coming here.

Speaker: Of course, he goes exactly where he's pointing.

Speaker: Oh, my God.

Speaker: It's like, you know, like the Argentina 1978 World Cup with a ticker tape.

Speaker: I don't think I've enjoyed a successful goal as much in my life.

Speaker: And it was just like...

Speaker: I don't know how I've got to that story, Dan.

Speaker: I'm so sorry.

Speaker: Wow.

Speaker: That had the lot.

Speaker: That had learning difficulties, racial abuse.

Speaker: I can't tell you how hard that story was to get through because I've not told you for a long time.

Speaker: You've done well because I bet during the 80s and 90s that was easier to tell.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: And you've done well.

Speaker: I'm glad you've grown, mate.

Speaker: I didn't wonder why you'd mentioned that the guy was mixed race until the salient piece of information came in.

Speaker: I was like, oh, God.

Speaker: Yeah, it's just a very difficult story to tell without offending people.

Speaker: So let's come to in Santa Carla.

Speaker: So you've got the kids looking around.

Speaker: How many times did you hear the word Michael in this film?

Speaker: Mate, I swear to God, I've written that down as well.

Speaker: Now, this is really weird.

Speaker: So the...

Speaker: Do you remember when we were talking about we went to watch The Flash and I was getting really fed up with the younger version of him going, oh, my God.

Speaker: Hey, stop doing that.

Speaker: Oh, my God.

Speaker: It's going to run over to this.

Speaker: Hey, stop doing that.

Speaker: I'm going to go off into that.

Speaker: Why did anybody listen in these movies?

Speaker: Because it was like watching a shit version of Knight Rider, like some fan fiction that someone's done on YouTube going, Michael, Michael, Michael, Michael.

Speaker: And then they needlessly said it.

Speaker: They were like, come here, Michael.

Speaker: You're my brother, Michael.

Speaker: What's happening here, Mike?

Speaker: Just say, come here.

Speaker: Oh, my God.

Speaker: It got to me.

Speaker: And I thought of you.

Speaker: I thought this will get to him.

Speaker: Honestly, it slaughtered me.

Speaker: This will absolutely do him.

Speaker: Because Michael gets the horn pretty early for that girl.

Speaker: It's classic mid-80s, isn't it?

Speaker: There's a lot of, like, raunching about and people in.

Speaker: There's a bum shot for no reason.

Speaker: Some girl.

Speaker: And the bit that nearly pissed me off as much was the saxophone playing guy in the gig.

Speaker: In what way?

Speaker: Oh my God.

Speaker: Now I get it.

Speaker: Michael Bolton was popular, but Bolton's got pipes.

Speaker: Don't get me wrong.

Speaker: Bolton can sing.

Speaker: He can sing.

Speaker: I don't like that.

Speaker: But this bloke, he looks like a WWF wrestler.

Speaker: He's got one of the things I hate, greased back long hair into a tight ponytail.

Speaker: Don't like it.

Speaker: He's got his top off and he's not even that ripped in modern standards.

Speaker: He's just a bit beefy.

Speaker: And he's got in his hand a fucking saxophone.

Speaker: I don't have a, I don't have a use of sax in a song.

Speaker: Probably, probably once or twice, but it's, it's just associated with sleaziness.

Speaker: And he's like going, the song isn't even good.

Speaker: It's not even like, it's like, we're talking about football, soccer.

Speaker: It's not even like a good track.

Speaker: And he's just like, Oh baby.

Speaker: Oh baby.

Speaker: He's always going, did you see me play that saxophone?

Speaker: And he's moving too much.

Speaker: He's all like, oh yeah.

Speaker: Fucking hated him.

Speaker: He did me.

Speaker: Did he not register with you?

Speaker: I kind of, I don't know.

Speaker: I know exactly what you mean because to me, the look...

Speaker: didn't go with the instrument he was playing.

Speaker: Like, you know what I mean?

Speaker: You know when you think of somebody playing the saxophone, you just think of some Lego-haired geek in tight skinny jeans and pointy shoes.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Going, oh, this one's my new one called Rain.

Speaker: And you're like, just play Baker Street.

Speaker: We can see you've got a saxophone in your hand.

Speaker: just play some of the, it's not Kenny G. I mean, yeah, that, that bugged me.

Speaker: Michael buys some leather trying to get in with the game.

Speaker: He's ballsy.

Speaker: I'll give him that because I've been in situations, youth wing disco in Spillsby.

Speaker: I didn't really want to listen to music.

Speaker: Just showing off some lads I knew from the football team.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Oh, by the way, that lad over there, Jono.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: Must kick your head in.

Speaker: Oh, that's nice.

Speaker: I've never been there.

Speaker: Why is that?

Speaker: He said you were looking at his girlfriend when he's looking around the room.

Speaker: I'd never been.

Speaker: But in my head, I kind of went, all right, well, fuck it.

Speaker: I'm only here for a few ciders, lads.

Speaker: I don't want any trouble.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: I haven't seen this girl.

Speaker: Oh, she is quite hot.

Speaker: Do you know what I mean?

Speaker: Michael goes, with them, are you?

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: How horny is this guy?

Speaker: That's interesting, that.

Speaker: Because I had a similar situation in a nightclub in Skegness, near where you grew up, where that goose over there wants to kick your head in.

Speaker: And I've never had it before.

Speaker: I was just dancing.

Speaker: I'd never even met eye contact with this geezer.

Speaker: And I went, why?

Speaker: He just didn't like the look of you.

Speaker: I went, all right, well, fuck him.

Speaker: I don't like him either.

Speaker: So two days later, I'd text with his girlfriend.

Speaker: But anyway, you were young and you needed the money.

Speaker: What can I say?

Speaker: The thing is, a lot of these lads who say that, are they owls or what?

Speaker: Where they've gone, just enjoy your girlfriend on your night out.

Speaker: What's wrong with you?

Speaker: It's just kids we know what to do.

Speaker: I'll tell you what, though.

Speaker: In order to bring this back, these guys, Keith Sutherland and his mates, the gang gang, they don't do anything wrong.

Speaker: They just kind of loiter, don't they?

Speaker: Whether I'm putting a modern...

Speaker: But yeah, but you don't, they don't know that, do they?

Speaker: You know, they don't know that they're the murderers.

Speaker: They're just a group of bigger boys, the older lads, just sashaying around the fun fair a little bit and a gig.

Speaker: And it was like, you boys got to get, you got to get out of here.

Speaker: You can't, you can't.

Speaker: And you're like, well, what did they actually do?

Speaker: Well, they've obviously got previous, haven't they?

Speaker: Must have.

Speaker: They must have.

Speaker: And also Santa Carla, welcome on the back of it.

Speaker: Murder capital of the States.

Speaker: So this guy's obviously had his... But he doesn't seem to be a policeman.

Speaker: He's probably a volunteer.

Speaker: And he's just going to get to his car.

Speaker: Oh, you know, that did stress me a bit.

Speaker: Someone's coming.

Speaker: Someone's coming.

Speaker: Can I open the door?

Speaker: I mean, that man would have been saved if it was for modern central unlocking.

Speaker: He could have put that thing... You see that thing when you put it near your head?

Speaker: Yeah, I do.

Speaker: Neck and head.

Speaker: Is it?

Speaker: And it does seem to work.

Speaker: And I don't know why it works.

Speaker: I've not had a Vietnam injury where I've got plates in.

Speaker: I don't get it.

Speaker: I think it's something to do with the waves concentrating the signal.

Speaker: It was on Top Gear once upon 15 years ago.

Speaker: Yeah, go on.

Speaker: So, you know, the waves making a big thing and Ned and Heck and, you know, jot that down.

Speaker: I thought I'd do the weirdest wave I've ever done to that, the word wave.

Speaker: So have you got any clips coming up or are we just still rocking until I say something, you go, there's a clip on this?

Speaker: Exactly that.

Speaker: Okay, so what I've put is moto race really, really unwise.

Speaker: It could have killed people on that beach.

Speaker: Stupid.

Speaker: People enjoying a sangria or maybe a cheeky, oh God, I'm on video now.

Speaker: I can't do my usual thing.

Speaker: imagine that you finally got there with Sharon Netherwood and back comes a lot of motorbikes coming like bloody kickstart screaming by so then there goes Michael Maggots Worms and Blood what a great night he had you know some Chinese yeah they were going to give him some Chinese and then he was sat and they tell it to Maggots and I'll tell you what by this point Kiefer Sutherland's character I want to say his name is David no it's David or Paul I think it is David

Speaker: It's David, right?

Speaker: His character's just pissing me off now.

Speaker: Oh, is he?

Speaker: I couldn't work out whether he was supposed to be part of the protagonist that you kind of then turn into the antagonist.

Speaker: I couldn't... Was I supposed to like him at this point?

Speaker: That sneery laugh he kept doing, I was like, oh, God, you're doing my head in part.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: But it was proper 80s movie banter as well.

Speaker: Like, no one had said anything about his mum.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Nobody had called him anything.

Speaker: Nobody had said anything.

Speaker: Nobody threatened him with physical violence.

Speaker: But Michael, there's that word again, got absolutely Larry, didn't he?

Speaker: I'm like, oh, it's just, oh, Maggie, it's brilliant.

Speaker: When they have that race towards the cliff edge,

Speaker: Michael's, I mean, obviously, oh, it's foggy.

Speaker: It's foggy.

Speaker: I think there's a cliff slide.

Speaker: Crashed the bike.

Speaker: And then he sees where the end was and he just smacks him in the face.

Speaker: And David goes, come with me, Michael.

Speaker: Does that laugh again?

Speaker: And then it's down in the lair.

Speaker: Yeah, down in the Goonie Lair.

Speaker: That's very Goonie-ish.

Speaker: I must admit, I've put the brother comic buddies that Sam makes.

Speaker: When they announce later on, and they go, oh, this is Edgar and Alan, the Frog Brothers.

Speaker: Yes, here we go.

Speaker: Use an Edgar Allan Poe's name, and you're chucked in the Frog Brothers for no reason.

Speaker: But that's an 80s trope, isn't it?

Speaker: The old classic.

Speaker: The all-knowing.

Speaker: It's like the comic book guy.

Speaker: Worst thing ever.

Speaker: It's like that, isn't it?

Speaker: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker: The...

Speaker: Oh, God, it's an actual... It's got a trope name.

Speaker: But, yeah, they kind of know everything just because they were reading comic books.

Speaker: So they know everything.

Speaker: You want to read this.

Speaker: This is not just a comic book.

Speaker: This is going to save your life, Sam.

Speaker: I've written Train Dangle.

Speaker: Why have I written that?

Speaker: Oh, yeah, because they dangle under the train.

Speaker: That's right.

Speaker: Yeah, so they're hanging from a train.

Speaker: Everybody's laughing again.

Speaker: Now, this... I've never been so frustrated by a scene in my life because...

Speaker: It really pissed me off.

Speaker: Two reasons.

Speaker: First one, it reminded me of those videos that you used to get in the 80s.

Speaker: You know, the ones where that girl reaches for the sparklers that haven't been put out yet and then lets out that big blood-curdling scream.

Speaker: And then there was that video that they showed you at school about pissing around on train tracks.

Speaker: The football goes in that thing that you don't know what it is to this day, the electric thing.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker: That type of thing.

Speaker: So it reminded me of that.

Speaker: And that kind of gave me like old school shudders.

Speaker: And the second one is just maniacal laughing.

Speaker: And then everybody drops.

Speaker: And then there's no conclusion to that bit.

Speaker: They've just dropped and then there's noises and then there's no real.

Speaker: That's a good point.

Speaker: Did he land?

Speaker: Did he not?

Speaker: Did he fly?

Speaker: When they jump down through the bridge, not one of them jumps with their hands in the air, right?

Speaker: And you see how far down they've gone.

Speaker: I mean, I know the vampires or whatever, but there's no way you're dropping that quick through there and then grabbing hold of that.

Speaker: Not a chance.

Speaker: Not a chance.

Speaker: It just absolutely needless scene for no reason.

Speaker: With no real consequence.

Speaker: It's just fake.

Speaker: Just fake.

Speaker: Fake.

Speaker: It's a far way.

Speaker: Fake.

Speaker: Fuck it.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: And then he's like, oh God, you can hear him laughing.

Speaker: He's going, because I was thinking that, what would I do in this situation?

Speaker: Come on, Ryan.

Speaker: Come on.

Speaker: What?

Speaker: No, because there's a point when he's down there, I'm thinking, no, you're all right.

Speaker: You go to the gym.

Speaker: But I'd be going, I'm top half week.

Speaker: I'd be going, I can't get back up.

Speaker: And then when I realized my legs were windmilling, trying to get back up, there's nothing to hold on to.

Speaker: I'd be fucked.

Speaker: I'd have to go.

Speaker: The weirdest thing actually is because you mentioned going to the gym.

Speaker: Obviously, when you go to the gym for a bit, you get calluses across your fingers.

Speaker: And when I try and go for a hang and do some chin-ups, I can only do about two.

Speaker: But when I try, it hurts.

Speaker: I'm like, if I was hanging there from that bridge, I sat there going, that'd really hurt my hands, that would.

Speaker: And I thought to myself, if it's a slightly warm, sweaty night.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: No.

Speaker: We saw the saxophonist.

Speaker: He was already moist.

Speaker: I thought you'd pick up on the moisture there.

Speaker: Where is it?

Speaker: Hold on, hold on.

Speaker: Here we go, hold on.

Speaker: Sax band, oiled man, awful, wet again.

Speaker: Wet again.

Speaker: Here we go.

Speaker: Moisture watch.

Speaker: I'm going to get like a little graphic for the screen there.

Speaker: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Speaker: Yeah, so it's Eating Worms Watch.

Speaker: So buys leather, everyone always at the fair, motor race, Michael, maggots, worms and blood, Michael.

Speaker: Train dangle, Michael.

Speaker: This bit's quite funny out of context.

Speaker: You know what it is?

Speaker: Michael, dog in the face.

Speaker: It's like, he's come, I'm a fucking vampire.

Speaker: And Sam's there, and the dog's giving it the old, yeah.

Speaker: He just takes it in the face.

Speaker: Dog's like, fuck this.

Speaker: I'm having you.

Speaker: So at this point, right, during this, we're an hour in now and genuinely fuck all has happened.

Speaker: And it's really tense and it's really sinister.

Speaker: And I'm thinking this is going to get really dark at some point.

Speaker: We're going to see some gore.

Speaker: We're probably going to see some old pagan stuff.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: We're going to see some real nasty shit.

Speaker: And there's a real tense scene, right?

Speaker: So,

Speaker: Corey Haynes' character's in the bath and he's got no idea that his brother's outside and he's on the turn.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: And then you're like, all right, this is where it's going to get ropey, right?

Speaker: I must admit, and I'm just going to go with it.

Speaker: Remember the first few episodes where I was saying what words I could and couldn't say?

Speaker: If ever a film needed some boobs, it was this.

Speaker: Some 80s boobs.

Speaker: Do you know what?

Speaker: I'm never shouting out for him.

Speaker: And it could have been, we had a male torso, so something for everyone.

Speaker: I at times just thought I wanted a bit of, you know, Bram Stoker's Dracula vampire boob.

Speaker: Artistic boob.

Speaker: Instead, we've got some sleepy kid who looks like an album cover of Meridian.

Speaker: And we've got some woman called Star who's on a good day at eight.

Speaker: And I was going, I think that maybe I've knocked these boobs too much when I've actually quite liked them.

Speaker: As he had the... He's drank the blood by this point, right?

Speaker: Because I tell you what, Dan, I don't like the taste of blood.

Speaker: And you know when people go, just suck it.

Speaker: And I'm always... So I've done it so I've bit your fingernail and you're fucking bleeding.

Speaker: I'm about to go like that.

Speaker: I'm going to go, fucking hell.

Speaker: The second you passed me a bottle of blood, I would know it was a bottle of blood.

Speaker: Hold on.

Speaker: Is this blood I'm about to drink?

Speaker: Yeah, it's mine.

Speaker: Fuck off.

Speaker: But with eating hair, that's all right.

Speaker: But then, this is the point where he gets the selling points.

Speaker: Now you know what we are.

Speaker: Now you know what you are.

Speaker: You'll never grow old, Michael.

Speaker: And you'll never die.

Speaker: But you must feed.

Speaker: LAUGHTER

Speaker: Do you know what gets me about that?

Speaker: Got the laughing.

Speaker: Got the laughing there.

Speaker: That fucking laughing.

Speaker: And you called him Michael three times.

Speaker: The bit against me is this movement where we've all been there.

Speaker: It's the second he did it.

Speaker: You've missed out two bits which are funny on it.

Speaker: I'm going to come to it.

Speaker: We'll come back to this.

Speaker: The bit where Sam realizes he's a fucking vampire.

Speaker: You wait till mum finds out, Michael.

Speaker: That's classic younger brother shit.

Speaker: I'm going to tell mum you're a vampire.

Speaker: I have that.

Speaker: I have that.

Speaker: You're creature of the night, Michael.

Speaker: Just like out of a comic book.

Speaker: You're a vampire, Michael.

Speaker: My own brother, a goddamn shit-sucking vampire.

Speaker: Oh, you wait till Mom finds out, buddy.

Speaker: It's brilliant.

Speaker: It's brilliant.

Speaker: And he says Michael five times there as well.

Speaker: I was going to say I was counting the Michaels, but there was no reason to keep saying Michael there.

Speaker: Just wait till mum finds out.

Speaker: Michael, you're a goddamn vampire.

Speaker: Michael, you're a shit-sucking vampire.

Speaker: Michael, oh my God.

Speaker: Do you think maybe because he likes to be called Mike or Mike and it's like your mum being angry and saying, Daniel.

Speaker: Maybe.

Speaker: Maybe.

Speaker: But, you know, Kiefer Sutherland's character is called David, and people who go, it's actually David, when you call him Dave, can fuck off.

Speaker: David the vampire.

Speaker: That's quite funny.

Speaker: Have you heard of it?

Speaker: There's a vampire lived out there.

Speaker: What's he called?

Speaker: Is he called Nosferatu?

Speaker: Is he called Beelzebub?

Speaker: David.

Speaker: That reminds me of...

Speaker: Reminds me of Big Trouble in Little China where they kept calling him Dave.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Thanks, Dave.

Speaker: Cheers, Dave.

Speaker: You're welcome.

Speaker: Yeah, so I put there Grandpa's Jangly House.

Speaker: I don't know why I wrote that, but it sounds like an episode of Pee Wee Herman.

Speaker: Right, I couldn't get on board with her mum.

Speaker: Everything she did, I thought she needed to be younger.

Speaker: Have you seen the new Ghostbusters movie?

Speaker: Really weird you've said that.

Speaker: I saw something with a picture of it today and thought, I've not seen that.

Speaker: I should watch that.

Speaker: And that was today.

Speaker: It's been out a while.

Speaker: So the mum in that is in her late 30s and she's got two young kids and she moves into granddad's house, right?

Speaker: Similar sort of scenario.

Speaker: And she's the right age and she's a bit scatty and she's a bit all over the place, bit skin, that type of thing.

Speaker: And the casting of that I thought was really good.

Speaker: This mum just pissed me off.

Speaker: Like, like, oh God, just wet all the way through it.

Speaker: Like just like, and then I didn't really see the point in the grandpa.

Speaker: What was the entire point of him?

Speaker: Did he add anything to this?

Speaker: He's a base.

Speaker: I did think there'd be times where he would be the sage.

Speaker: He'd be like the Van Helsing.

Speaker: He'd be like, he's acting scatty all the way through.

Speaker: I don't know why I wrote jangly house.

Speaker: Uh,

Speaker: Oh, that's right.

Speaker: There's stuff jangling outside.

Speaker: But I thought it was going to be like, oh, I'm a bit rubbish.

Speaker: I'm a bit rubbish.

Speaker: Ah, but you didn't realise.

Speaker: Because obviously there's a twist in this one.

Speaker: It was like, I've been fighting these fuckers for 400 years.

Speaker: I've had enough of them with a bloody saxophone solo.

Speaker: So they do me edit.

Speaker: And then I put Gang Chew on some rockers, which is obviously what you just saw there.

Speaker: They're just having a good old time.

Speaker: What are they dancing to?

Speaker: They're dancing to Aerosmith, aren't they?

Speaker: Walk this way.

Speaker: I mean, to be fair, growing up, they'd have been the kids who were smoking the weed and doing me edit when I went to get to sleep.

Speaker: But

Speaker: they're like ugly kid Joe

Speaker: There's something about you.

Speaker: What the fuck is that?

Speaker: Oh, it's David the Vampire.

Speaker: He's coming in with his 80s bullet.

Speaker: Don't mess with them.

Speaker: They've got open shirts with three buttons on it and mullets and leather jackets.

Speaker: They seem to have a disciple called Michael.

Speaker: They keep saying his name quite a lot, but he hasn't quite turned yet until he chews on one of our bollocks.

Speaker: What do you think it was, Ross?

Speaker: I mean, I don't know if you're the same, but do you associate a leather jacket with badassery?

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Given our age, and we both own them, right?

Speaker: And we both have them.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: But there seemed to be like, if I'd like a quilted effect on the shoulder and a couple of studs.

Speaker: Is it like Michael Jackson and Bad?

Speaker: Is that the influence we had?

Speaker: I'm trying to... Yeah, we've discussed this before.

Speaker: MJ and Bad was just the baddest motherfucker around.

Speaker: There was no two ways about it.

Speaker: And that man wore a Sonic the Hedgehog bootay with straps and buckles on like no other motherfucker.

Speaker: And he had a Jerry Curl on his hair all over the shop from that Pepsi.

Speaker: Ow!

Speaker: and all that kind of shit and he still looked amazing got fucking black top on all that kind of shit i wanted the outfit so bad but my bullying was pretty bad without it in skeg let alone walking around going come on system your brother's all down your thigh you're doing wrong you're doing wrong you're doing wrong and all that kind of shit but yeah i it's funny how they've changed because like leather jackets in the 80s i had one with um tassels on the back uh like fringing down the arms beautiful thing it was for kids like macho man randy savage

Speaker: yeah, him.

Speaker: I think that was him.

Speaker: I just plucked for one.

Speaker: Now, the one I wear, I actually wore on a motorbike.

Speaker: I used to ride a motorbike for a little bit when I lived in Brighton, a little 125.

Speaker: And it was genuinely my bike jacket.

Speaker: You know, I thought, if I come off, this thing's fucking thick.

Speaker: It's going to save me.

Speaker: I'll be all right.

Speaker: And then I didn't really wear it outside of that.

Speaker: And then I started wearing it when I lost a bit of timber.

Speaker: I was like, it's really slimming in the middle.

Speaker: It made me look like a V shape.

Speaker: I was like, yeah, we like a bit of this.

Speaker: It's bright and get away with anything.

Speaker: In the 90s, they were all from charity shops.

Speaker: The kind of thing that people wore on safaris in Nazi Germany, you know, like a gray leather.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker: Nazi safaris.

Speaker: I used to have one.

Speaker: I used to have one with a big, you know, the big wing tip collars on it when I was

Speaker: Yeah, when I was about 17, 18.

Speaker: And then in the early 20s, Justin Timberlake had just released his Justified album that changed everybody's life in 2003.

Speaker: And it had that kind of press stood across grandad collar kind of look.

Speaker: And you're like, yeah, badass.

Speaker: It's weird how the leather jacket has kind of come like the symbol.

Speaker: Like, he's the bad guy.

Speaker: He's got a leather jacket on.

Speaker: It's rebellion, isn't it?

Speaker: Because it's to do with you.

Speaker: I guess if you go far enough back, the first time they're really wearing it, my grandmother was wearing one in a bomber plane in the 1940s.

Speaker: But that was to keep him...

Speaker: you know, not from dying while bombing Nazi Germany.

Speaker: So it's a slightly different... I shouldn't think the Germans thought much of him, but he was a badass back then, I guess.

Speaker: A 20-year-old in charge of a death machine.

Speaker: But yeah, I agree with you, Dan.

Speaker: Whether it be through bikers or through punks, whatever, his leather has got that element of... And a kink as well at some times.

Speaker: No one goes, you're going to wear those flannel pants to bed.

Speaker: You're going to wear them white pants with the tassels.

Speaker: No, I'm going to wear my leather one.

Speaker: Dig out those cotton Primarchs.

Speaker: Leather trousers are freaky.

Speaker: Isn't it weird?

Speaker: It's like, I call it the Kappa effect, right?

Speaker: So in the 90s, if you had a football shirt made by Kappa, right, it was brilliant.

Speaker: Barcelona had Kappa, right?

Speaker: So you had it all down the sleeves and then, but any other garment made by Kappa wore on your body that wasn't a football shirt, screams Skegness Market.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Like Kappa trainers.

Speaker: capa tracksuit bottoms with buttons down the side they're not the adidas ones we can see you trying capa jackets like you know what i mean it just it was like oh you didn't get a full bullshit you didn't have a button down trousers did you i bet you no no no yeah but you still have them horrible lonsdale trainers that everyone had the slip slip-ons didn't you you remember those ones that look like oh i know the ones you mean

Speaker: The ones that came from Sports Direct that were like a tenner that looked like scuba shoes, like short ankle scuba shoes.

Speaker: They looked like a lion and a blue line on them.

Speaker: Sorry, I thought you had them.

Speaker: I called you wrong.

Speaker: I've done you dirty.

Speaker: Bill S. Preston gets stabbed through the chest with a stake by one of the Frog Brothers.

Speaker: You get the wrong one.

Speaker: Yeah, we've turned into Goonies now, haven't we?

Speaker: We're going to the second act, and I'm still waiting for some genuine horror.

Speaker: But no, it's just turned into vampire Goonies.

Speaker: You've only seen him do the key once.

Speaker: And then I've just put BMXs, because we then turned into E.T.

Speaker: as well as BMX riding going through the town.

Speaker: Kids versus the problem.

Speaker: Prep montage.

Speaker: It is.

Speaker: There's like an A-Team montage, isn't there?

Speaker: Which you've actually realised, we call the Home Alone montage, but Home Alone came after all of these.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: So what was the one we saw?

Speaker: It was Rocky had one, didn't it?

Speaker: There was another building one.

Speaker: There's another film we watched recently.

Speaker: Oh, Predator's doing it as well.

Speaker: It's like, they're setting up for the alien coming.

Speaker: So there's a montage.

Speaker: Now, this is a bit where I've had a little bit of a, I've not really mentioned what's going on in the film.

Speaker: I've put, they've got a budget for cranes,

Speaker: But not for flying effects.

Speaker: Do you know what?

Speaker: I noticed this as well.

Speaker: They implied a lot of flying, but you didn't see much flying.

Speaker: Everyone's doing this.

Speaker: So they've obviously got a big cherry picker out and gone, Joel Schumacher, I'm guessing, he's like this.

Speaker: Get the vampires, calm down.

Speaker: Coming like that.

Speaker: But not once you see them going, not once you see anybody fly.

Speaker: There's a bit of a scuffle between David and Michael.

Speaker: Who genuinely now, now I say it out loud, sound like two knobhead investment bankers who are about 23 on the gear on a Thursday night.

Speaker: Oh, I'm just down with David and Michael.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: They are an absolute hoot.

Speaker: They're a fucking riot.

Speaker: Like the other day, right?

Speaker: He just went out and he took his fucking trousers off in all bar one.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: He saw this girl, right?

Speaker: And she was like, so a seven.

Speaker: And you know what Mike's like.

Speaker: He's after number nines all the way.

Speaker: And he went, I'll give you a chance.

Speaker: This is my credit card.

Speaker: It's just that kind of shit.

Speaker: Exactly.

Speaker: Actually, I listened to the first half of the sentence.

Speaker: It's so me.

Speaker: The second half, I don't think you'll expect to come.

Speaker: I was listening to a BBC documentary.

Speaker: I listened to a lot of podcasts in the car, a lot of driving.

Speaker: And just sometimes pick random shit.

Speaker: And this one's all about the Yeti.

Speaker: Eight part thing on BBC Sounds about the Yeti.

Speaker: And basically, in a nutshell, some rich bloke's gone, I'm going to go and find the Yeti.

Speaker: I live in Asia.

Speaker: I've always been fascinated by it.

Speaker: I do like all that stuff.

Speaker: It's like aliens and that stuff, isn't it?

Speaker: And at the start, he says, my name's, I don't know, my name's Andrew Sandbrook.

Speaker: And then it cuts to the other lad who's on it, who's with a sceptic.

Speaker: But as soon as he said his name, I'm driving like this.

Speaker: My name's Andrew Sandbrook.

Speaker: And I'm Richard Horsey.

Speaker: I shit you not.

Speaker: I looked out the window like,

Speaker: Richard Horsey.

Speaker: So then eight episodes by the second episode.

Speaker: I'm Andrew Sandbrook and I'm Richard.

Speaker: And I went Horsey.

Speaker: And I couldn't stop doing it every episode.

Speaker: I'm Richard Horsey.

Speaker: Isn't it?

Speaker: Because I changed my name.

Speaker: What's your name?

Speaker: Ryan Freebury.

Speaker: F-R-W-E-B-U-R-Y.

Speaker: I have to spell it.

Speaker: What's your name?

Speaker: Richard Horsey.

Speaker: It reminds me of those posh uni kids who are now doing, what is it?

Speaker: equestrian with hobby horses.

Speaker: Have you seen that?

Speaker: Oh, where they're like, yeah, the small ones.

Speaker: Oh, you know, they're on them.

Speaker: They're on them.

Speaker: Yeah, I know what you mean.

Speaker: They're jumping over them.

Speaker: They're running around on them.

Speaker: And I also saw some students doing Quidditch as well, and they had like a Quidditch league.

Speaker: Now, imagine, imagine your, can you imagine the type of kids as well?

Speaker: Daddy,

Speaker: I was wondering if I could have some more money.

Speaker: Oh, God, what is it now?

Speaker: Well, I've got to pay my subs for Hobby Horse Equestrian.

Speaker: And then I've got Quidditch during the summer.

Speaker: Honestly, my dad would give me a slap.

Speaker: Do you know what made me laugh around that same world is that somebody once said, when I first heard the actor Eddie Redmayne, I thought it was the name of a posh person's pony.

Speaker: Dad, I'm going to go in the field now and ride Eddie Redmayne.

Speaker: Anyway, so you won't get that yet.

Speaker: But anyway, just, yeah, the general thing of like shitty names, David and Michael are not kicking it.

Speaker: And I've put here dog into bath kick.

Speaker: I don't know why I've started writing this like Yoda at this point, because it's when that one goes down, doesn't it?

Speaker: The big blonde one, because they put all that holy water in the thing.

Speaker: Although I will.

Speaker: Where did I write it?

Speaker: Hold on.

Speaker: Hold on.

Speaker: I got it earlier than this down.

Speaker: So Max comes around for some food.

Speaker: And where have I put it?

Speaker: Here we go.

Speaker: cry little sister grandpa's jangly house then I put Max dot dot dot invited in and the second he went Michael went to him you can come in I've watched so much vampiric stuff I went dickhead

Speaker: fucked it.

Speaker: He made such a big thing of it all.

Speaker: What was his name again?

Speaker: Michael, was it?

Speaker: I went, he's invited him in.

Speaker: I wrote it down.

Speaker: And then it comes down here.

Speaker: So obviously he's got in, hasn't he?

Speaker: He's got all that stuff and it's not working on him, is it?

Speaker: He's eating garlic, don't like it because he's invited him in.

Speaker: He hasn't got any power.

Speaker: Didn't realise that.

Speaker: Yeah, he is a wrong one.

Speaker: So what did you think of the effects when the bloke gets kicked into the holy water and starts turning into... We'll talk about afterwards what I've written as tap chaos, plumbing gone bad.

Speaker: Um...

Speaker: Can you talk to me about the bath and the plumbing situation?

Speaker: So, he's in the bath.

Speaker: He started to melt, and you see, you know, it's holy water, so it's going to melt him.

Speaker: That old chestnut.

Speaker: And then as he melts in the bath, he turns into a skeleton.

Speaker: Decent SFX.

Speaker: A lot better than Evil Dead 2.

Speaker: Significantly better than some of the shit that we've seen on this show.

Speaker: Less puppets.

Speaker: Kind of like that.

Speaker: Yeah, less hair.

Speaker: But then...

Speaker: But then we have a scene that's reminiscent of Evil Dead 2 where things, for no reason, just start spouting blood.

Speaker: And a bit like, God, this is working.

Speaker: Nightmare on Elm Street.

Speaker: Yeah, let's just do some blood spouting.

Speaker: Hey, guys, have we got any of that blood left over from the other movies?

Speaker: No, I've got some.

Speaker: Joel.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: If you go to the rotating house set, then there's loads just swilling around in there.

Speaker: Why have we still got the house set?

Speaker: Well, it's the place where all the blood is.

Speaker: And then it's... So it keeps the blood.

Speaker: It is just tap chaos.

Speaker: It's coming out of fucking everywhere.

Speaker: And then these words, I don't think they've ever been written in English language before.

Speaker: Tap chaos, plumbing gone bad.

Speaker: Robin Hood's the next fucker.

Speaker: I've used it as a verb to Robin Hood something because he's shot him with an arrow.

Speaker: Robin Hood's the next one.

Speaker: Death by stereo.

Speaker: And then I've put, Grandpa's house is fucked.

Speaker: It's fucked up.

Speaker: Death by stereo.

Speaker: I don't mind it.

Speaker: Fuck me, it's loud.

Speaker: Terrible.

Speaker: I tell you what, it's weird you said that.

Speaker: I had to turn down the sound of that because the noise that he makes when he's being electrocuted on that stereo is absolutely insane.

Speaker: Do you not think it's kind of like what could have gone wrong for Marty McFly when he first hit that big amp?

Speaker: LAUGHTER

Speaker: Because that's what went in my head.

Speaker: I was like, Marty, you were using a metal plectrum, which is not normally advised.

Speaker: I used to like using a 0.8 nylon.

Speaker: But some people use a metal one.

Speaker: And I've never trust metal on metal strings.

Speaker: And I've always feared that happening.

Speaker: So that was quite nice to see.

Speaker: So when he turned it up to, are you nuts?

Speaker: Then you were like, could have gone bad.

Speaker: Could have been read it by stereo.

Speaker: Eddie Van Halen on the old one is Darth Vader from Vulcan.

Speaker: So yeah, Grandpa's House is fucked.

Speaker: And then there's two more classic lines.

Speaker: I think you've got these as well.

Speaker: So I'm going to put them in here.

Speaker: It's the bit where they report back to each other.

Speaker: He goes, we annihilated the one that looks like Twisted Sister.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: You have that one.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: I don't have that one.

Speaker: But then a couple of seconds later, it goes with,

Speaker: Holy shit!

Speaker: The attack of Eddie Munster!

Speaker: Get him!

Speaker: Stop!

Speaker: Get away from him!

Speaker: You just stay away from him!

Speaker: Laddy, as he's known.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: That kid, I had no... It went until that scene until he comes out of the settee.

Speaker: I had no real reference to whatsoever.

Speaker: I was like, where is he?

Speaker: I forgot that kid was in it.

Speaker: Oh, I don't know.

Speaker: Maybe this talks about the different ways you and I might tap on people.

Speaker: But when I was at the fairground and I saw her and he's chasing her, because he's a bit creepy at the start, Chase.

Speaker: I mean, he's had the eyes, to be fair.

Speaker: She's thrown some eyes that have gone, hmm.

Speaker: So he follows and follows, which gets creepier and creepier.

Speaker: Then she's got that kid with her.

Speaker: And I noticed because he's got a tunic on her.

Speaker: I thought, that's a nice little tunic for a kid.

Speaker: Where'd he get that from?

Speaker: So I've clocked that.

Speaker: And then I saw him asleep a few times.

Speaker: Then on the milk in someone's house, there's a missing kid and it's him.

Speaker: And he's called Laddy.

Speaker: Someone Laddy, which I think is weird for a kid because it's like, hello!

Speaker: but then he goes evil because he's getting carried with her there's a bit where Michael's lifting them all out it all gets crazy we'll kill the vampires Michael get them the fuck out of here and he carries Star and then Laddie to the car because I did notice one of them throws Laddie on the bed like he's just a piece of shit he was the shittest character that didn't do shit he was shit David Speard on grandpappy's horns

Speaker: Oh, yeah.

Speaker: So we're in the second movie on the bounce where there is a taxidermy room, right?

Speaker: What's the other one?

Speaker: Yeah, because it was in... Roadhouse.

Speaker: Roadhouse.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So, yeah.

Speaker: Grandad loves leaving a stuffed badger next to his grandkids' bed, doesn't he?

Speaker: So it transpires in the 80s that taxidermy was massive.

Speaker: In fact, there was a girl used to live on my street when I was used to live in Lawton, only more than just outside Rotherham.

Speaker: And I'd never seen taxidermy up live.

Speaker: I'd never seen it.

Speaker: You don't often.

Speaker: And I went round to this girl's house.

Speaker: Her name was Joanne Coop.

Speaker: She didn't go to our school for some reason.

Speaker: I don't know why.

Speaker: But she lived on our road and all the other kids.

Speaker: We went round to her.

Speaker: Did she play five-sided against firemen?

Speaker: No.

Speaker: No.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: She went to Fuzz Puzz.

Speaker: Maybe.

Speaker: Maybe.

Speaker: Maybe.

Speaker: Did do.

Speaker: But I don't remember.

Speaker: That's a new euphemism.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Anyway.

Speaker: So when we all called round for her.

Speaker: Joanne Coop and I said, Joanne Coop and I said,

Speaker: We kind of only half knew her, but we all just knock around.

Speaker: There was a wreck at the top of the road.

Speaker: And we went round there, in her living room, there was deer heads.

Speaker: And they were all tiny because the only things you ever saw in the 80s were just giraffes and elk and rhinos.

Speaker: But, you know, we had badgers and squirrels and things.

Speaker: So her father was into killing animals and mounting them on the wall.

Speaker: And it was one of the most...

Speaker: I assume so.

Speaker: I mean, it was quite a rural area where we went.

Speaker: I mean, the biggest animal we had there was Highland cattle.

Speaker: So, you know,

Speaker: One of them wasn't there.

Speaker: They all look like stuff you'd find around the area.

Speaker: There wasn't like just a random Ibeck or something.

Speaker: Well, no, and that was the weird thing.

Speaker: He was just dead happy at killing a badger.

Speaker: And I've killed plenty of badgers in my life.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Why is he lording himself up at running his Ford Fiesta over the back of animals of Farthing Wood?

Speaker: Depends if you've had to do it.

Speaker: I think if I ended up in a situation where I had to fight an animal for my survival, however big it was,

Speaker: And depending on how strong a fight it put up, if it was a good warrior or I felt it had, it fought well, I'd stuff it.

Speaker: Do you know what I mean?

Speaker: If I had a really tense afternoon with a goose.

Speaker: With a really angry goldfish.

Speaker: No, I mean, that's just stupid because you just take it out of the water, don't you?

Speaker: But I mean, like a really pissed off mongoose or something come at me or a ferret or something like that.

Speaker: And I was like, fuck me.

Speaker: Do you remember that time that ferret went at me?

Speaker: Well, yeah.

Speaker: What happened to him?

Speaker: There he is.

Speaker: He's up there with the Princess Diana commemorative.

Speaker: Queen of Hearts.

Speaker: Queen of Hearts.

Speaker: Yeah, that's, yeah.

Speaker: So I've ended up with David Speard on Grandpappy's horns, which again is a great sentence.

Speaker: Should be a name for a song.

Speaker: Then I've just put Evil Max, which sounds like a really good pair of trainers.

Speaker: And then Grandad Through the Window.

Speaker: Grandad sounds a lot better in the writing than he does in the actual film.

Speaker: He just smashes through the window for no reason.

Speaker: And then all return to normal.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: No real resolution to anything.

Speaker: They didn't really find out who killed all those people and why Santa Clara was the murder capital of the USA.

Speaker: They don't know where Laddie is.

Speaker: What happened to Laddie?

Speaker: They didn't kill him.

Speaker: Did they get better once they killed the head vampire?

Speaker: Yeah, because that's why Michael's all right.

Speaker: Everyone's all right.

Speaker: Because I was thinking they're going to fucking kill Laddie, but she keeps going, I leave him.

Speaker: He's just a kid.

Speaker: He's just a kid, isn't he?

Speaker: What happened to Bill S. Preston Esquire?

Speaker: It's not like he had a mortgage and a family to feed.

Speaker: He's just a kid.

Speaker: I mean, I must admit, the Wild Stallions will make their own way.

Speaker: What do they have to do?

Speaker: So they'll be fine.

Speaker: I mean, he could have always joined that band with old silky saxophone player, whatever you call him, anyway.

Speaker: So yeah, that's it.

Speaker: All done at the end of.

Speaker: What I must say is when David...

Speaker: David the Vampire was laying on them horns, and he's on some proper horns.

Speaker: They look like narwhal tusks.

Speaker: They look massive, them fuckers.

Speaker: They look really smarted, because they've got a slight corkscrew element to them, so you can't get off them that easy.

Speaker: You can't have to twist him off it like a wingnut.

Speaker: Yeah, I don't know if you've ever accidentally sat on someone's finger, but you can get off that a lot easier than you can if you sit on, I don't know, a trombone.

Speaker: Neither of these things have happened to me.

Speaker: I was just throwing it out there.

Speaker: I thought he was going to get back up.

Speaker: Yeah, I thought I was going to get the 80s movie.

Speaker: He's not dead yet, Jump Scare.

Speaker: And we didn't get it, did we?

Speaker: I did think one thing that I thought was going to happen and didn't.

Speaker: There's a bit where Michael's, he's called Michael.

Speaker: He's around the corner with Star and he's all, and he's going, don't see me like this.

Speaker: Because David's dead, but he hasn't changed.

Speaker: And I thought, he's the fucking, how's he ended up with the King Vampire?

Speaker: What's happened here?

Speaker: What's happened here?

Speaker: How's he ended up?

Speaker: Because he should have changed.

Speaker: Oh, David's dead.

Speaker: No, because Max has come in here with his dark ways.

Speaker: Max, he reminded me a little bit of the Demon Headmaster from the 90s TV shows.

Speaker: But yeah, so that is all done.

Speaker: And how did you feel when it resolved?

Speaker: Just pissed off.

Speaker: Just absolutely pissed off.

Speaker: I'm annoyed I wasted time of my life watching this fucking movie.

Speaker: So I'll ask you first then, what are you going to give it out of 10?

Speaker: Three.

Speaker: Solid three.

Speaker: Easy three.

Speaker: I honestly fucking hated it.

Speaker: And I'll tell you for why, right?

Speaker: So like I said, the first half builds up and it's sinister and it's dark and there's going to be something happening.

Speaker: There's going to be some adult themes in this.

Speaker: It's going to be like, it's going to be...

Speaker: it's going to be pagan, is it?

Speaker: I think it was quite, well, it's the fact that we're watching it on this show probably means it's a 15 or an 18, right?

Speaker: Definitely.

Speaker: It's a 15.

Speaker: Now, right, so it's definitely going to build up to something.

Speaker: And then halfway through, Corey fucking Feldman turns up and his brother, who no one's ever heard of before or since.

Speaker: The Frop Brothers.

Speaker: Yeah, the Frog Brothers turn up.

Speaker: And then halfway through, it turns into Goonies Home Alone bullshit.

Speaker: And I was absolutely what I couldn't.

Speaker: Because, you know, in like a movie, a cult movie.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: And you watch it.

Speaker: I can see people like Mark Normie.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Loving movies like Predator and Alien and Rocky.

Speaker: I can see who that's for.

Speaker: And I really understand why that film has got such a cult following.

Speaker: You know, all the goth chicks that love Twilight that are now 40, right?

Speaker: They love this movie.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: And I couldn't understand why the shit in fuck this movie was so popular.

Speaker: It is woefully terrible.

Speaker: And I don't understand who it's for.

Speaker: I think it's probably similar to Twilight.

Speaker: It's probably in terms of that.

Speaker: You know, mid to late teenage girls, potentially.

Speaker: I think it's got an element of like the rebels in it as well for them lads who aren't rebels or get bullied by it.

Speaker: But they got picked off by the bloody goonies.

Speaker: Yeah, because they're just young'uns, aren't they?

Speaker: I don't know what's going on.

Speaker: Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker: So you're giving it a three.

Speaker: I'm going to give it an eight.

Speaker: Jesus Christ, we've never been this far apart.

Speaker: Okay, so let me see if I can guess.

Speaker: I'm joking.

Speaker: I'm joking.

Speaker: I can't give it an eight.

Speaker: I actually didn't mind it.

Speaker: I think maybe... Is it the stylizing of it that you like?

Speaker: Do you like the... Yeah, I can't look at the vampires.

Speaker: You can see the music, Cry Little Sister, and then it finishes with Don't Let The Sun.

Speaker: I was like...

Speaker: I mean, that's an awful version of that, by the way.

Speaker: That's up there.

Speaker: Kate Bush did a reggae version of that song.

Speaker: I think it's fucking terrible.

Speaker: And it might not be that song.

Speaker: I like Kate Bush, but it's awful.

Speaker: No, I think it's confused.

Speaker: It reminds me a bit of, not in any way, because the film's like it, but coming to America where you've got that two styles of what it is, it's all brooding and it's all like, oh, I could kill you at any minute, but I haven't.

Speaker: Michael.

Speaker: Michael, I'm over here now.

Speaker: You're eating worms.

Speaker: Michael.

Speaker: And you go, ooh, I don't know what's going on here.

Speaker: But then the mum's a bit silly.

Speaker: And then Sam, in a way, being in it, is an element of your teenage kids going, this is what them older kids get up to.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: And it's confused.

Speaker: And I think in my head, I was going to give it a seven.

Speaker: So generally sort of wasn't, it was over quite quick.

Speaker: I didn't think it was too long.

Speaker: I kind of like the style of it.

Speaker: I like the music.

Speaker: It's very got those big 80s kind of drums going on in a lot of the music.

Speaker: But then it's got a sweaty boat playing a saxophone.

Speaker: It's got the use of Michael is far too much.

Speaker: There's a vampire called David.

Speaker: So I'm going to give it... There's things I just can't let go.

Speaker: But there are some lines that genuinely made me laugh of like Twisted Sister and Eddie Munster and stuff like that.

Speaker: And I got the story.

Speaker: I knew where they were going.

Speaker: So I'm giving it a six and a half.

Speaker: Yeah, six and a half.

Speaker: I can see why I give it that.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: I just... I have irrational hatred.

Speaker: So for me, Corey Haim...

Speaker: in it, RIP.

Speaker: Which one's that?

Speaker: The blonde kid.

Speaker: He reminds me of, and I think I've referenced it before on this show, you know kids that were in adverts in the 80s?

Speaker: Advert kids.

Speaker: He reminded me of one of them.

Speaker: Like, I specifically cited on this show before the one that used to advertise Screwball Scramble.

Speaker: I fucking hated him, and he was on every advert going, is it that fucking kid again?

Speaker: I don't know him.

Speaker: And it just, I don't understand what his appeal was.

Speaker: He just played kid.

Speaker: He's like Jeremy Renner nowadays.

Speaker: Hey, is that Hollywood?

Speaker: Yeah, get me Hollywood on the phone.

Speaker: We need generic man.

Speaker: Oh my God, I've got just a guy.

Speaker: It's a Jeremy Renner?

Speaker: Of course it's Jeremy Renner.

Speaker: If a Jeremy Renner went above and beyond and in real life fought a snowplow, I mean, that's pretty heroic.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Did he win?

Speaker: I mean, ultimately, yeah.

Speaker: He's all right, I think.

Speaker: I don't think they put the snowplow down.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That's a good shot, isn't it?

Speaker: So, next week, what we think... Well, I've already got one in mind.

Speaker: It's a very different corner of the world.

Speaker: I think it's meant to be bawdy comedy, but Porky's.

Speaker: Ooh.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Will we struggle to get through the boobs and arms on that one?

Speaker: No, I feel if we do it in a...

Speaker: Meta way, looking down on the 80s.

Speaker: If I told you the real version of that story that I've just got away with on here by telling you, we can get three porkies.

Speaker: It'd be fun.

Speaker: I think we can.

Speaker: I think we can.

Speaker: So yeah, I'll give you an option.

Speaker: So I've got a couple up here that are coming from Normie and stuff like that.

Speaker: And I just thought I'd throw them out here.

Speaker: So you can have the following.

Speaker: You can have Porkies, Terminator, Tango and Cash, Universal Soldier,

Speaker: Or the Highlander or the Fly.

Speaker: Oh, my God.

Speaker: I've not seen like three or four of them.

Speaker: That's really interesting.

Speaker: And we could do an episode like this.

Speaker: So let's do Porky's.

Speaker: Have you seen Porky's?

Speaker: I've seen Porky's and I was...

Speaker: very young when I watch Porky's.

Speaker: So we can tell that story next time.

Speaker: So yeah, let's do Porky's and then let's go into some of the others on the list because there's some absolute classics in there and then there's some that I've just not seen myself either.

Speaker: I'll say Terminator's got a bit better, but we've done Arnie Nottingham.

Speaker: I also want to do Taxi Driver at some point.

Speaker: I've never seen.

Speaker: and something like that we've got to get to Aliens as well people keep telling me I need to get to Terminator 2 people keep telling me what about like the Scorsese gangster ones like Goodfellas and Casino obviously seen them well of course you have

Speaker: Of course I've seen them.

Speaker: Do you know what?

Speaker: Why have I seen them?

Speaker: Because they're culturally... I don't know.

Speaker: I have seen them for some reason.

Speaker: Maybe it's because they're a bit cool.

Speaker: I think I'm cool because I've seen Scorsese.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: But yeah, that's it.

Speaker: So Porky's coming up next.

Speaker: Let's see what the fuck that's like.

Speaker: It will be next Monday.

Speaker: As you can see at the bottom here, at you're not watching that pod.

Speaker: I say, I've basically been on a different planet for ages.

Speaker: Dan's been fighting the police and the Albanians.

Speaker: So we will be upping the game and making sure we're out there and doing our bits.

Speaker: But until next time, thank you, Dan, and Sidi.
