Hello, I’m Ryan, this is You’re Not Watching that the podcast where I’m finally catching up with all those films that my mum wouldn’t let me

This week we are heading to Santa Clara with Michael, Sam and their mum to live in Santa Clara to live with their grandad, but if you go down to the Fairground, you’ll notice things get a little dark and twisted directed by Joel Schumacher, it’s the 1987 goth classic,  It’s time to meet The Lost Boys

He's the cooler trying attain order to the Double Deuces for club owner Frank Tilman in "Roadhouse"

Hello and welcome to another episode of you’re not watching that!

The show where Ryan wasn’t allowed to watch ANY of the big movies from his childhood

In a twist of roles we hand over to Dan Fudge, a man who has never had the patience or desire to watch the classic that is the David Bowie/Jim Henson mash up that was Labyrinth

So dig out your Tina Turner wigs, your VERY tight grey leggings and for some reason some glass bubbles and join us on a journey where Dan tries to embrace his fear of “dirty puppets”!

Its time to avoid any triangles of red dots....have a huge rippled bicep hand shake, smear ourselves in mud....and finally watch Predator!!!

After us showbizzing it up in that London at the premiere of The Flash, where better to go this week than back to 1980 and Mike Hodges’ camp bubblegummy cartoony classic

Queen are on the tunes, Blessed is on the shouting and wearing pants, Dalton is basically Robin Hood and Sam J. Jones is playing everyone’s favourite American Footballer turned Earth Saver

He’s alive, he’s on a space bike, he’s flying into your hearts, he’s Flash Gordon! Let’s av it!

Welcome to episode number 11, of Season 1, where I’m about to watch film 2 of a franchise before I’ve seen the first one

If you like demonic killer hands, chainsaws, crazed taxidermy, stop motion ghouls, nice trapdoors, the woods and more chainsaws, then this is the film for you

A year before the utter shite that was Bloodsport, Sam Raimi made the sequel to his 1981 comedy horror classic Evil Dead….and due to the insistant but devoted online trolling from Sir Elliot the Subliminal Psycho….we watched Evil Dead 2

So chop off your hand, strap on a chainsaw in it’s place, load that sawn off shotgun and let’s get grooooovy. And we’re off!!

11. Evil Dead 2

We are back and this week I have mostly been watching a bloke doing the splits….a lot!

It’s my first experience of the ‘acting’ skills and Kung-Fu thrills of Monsieur Jean-Claude Camille Francois Van Varenberg….or Jean-Claude Van Damme to his mates in downtown Brussels

The year is 1988, the director is Newt Arnold, it’s an 18 and it’s one for those who like their sport with some blood….yeah….it’s Bloodsport

So get ready to give them bricks a good thwacking, dive into the shady Underbelly of a Hong Kong martial arts tournaments and pronounce the name Dux in a bizarre Flemish way!!

10. Bloodsport

We see watermelons, thieving OAP’s, rich vs poor, bump vs grind, face social stigma face on and swan lift it into the air and boogie….it’s Swayze & Grey in Emile Ardolino’s 1987 classic….’Dirty Dancing’….or how it’s said up north…”Dotty Dancin”

So dust off your Cuban heels, get on the floor, mobilise your Mambo and ch ch charge your Cha Cha Cha and let’s go!!

Hi, I'm Ryan  I'm a huge film lover, but I have a big black hole in my viewing experience

As a child of the 80's & 90's there are many classics that I have not seen because my parents said 'You're Not Watching That'  Now I've enlisted my friends who can't believe what films I've never seen to help me fill in my cinematic blanks

Join us on a journey back in celluloid time to discover a sometimes violent, occasionally saucy & often weird world that my teenage self never got to discover!
