Speaker: Well, I'd rather the rain, honestly, because yeah um because it's kind of hot as balls here. It is. um Speaking of balls, ah this is the down with DP podcast. I'm yeah I'm one of your hosts, Ron Fred DeMoto. And with me is the beautiful. Robert Dunn. Robert motherfucking. I knew the answer before you even finished. Yeah, I.
Speaker: So this motherfucker. This motherfucker. rob what do we have in the Rob, what do we have? Robert, what do we have on the agenda today? right Well, i I'm glad you asked. ah We have, um well, Comic-Con just came and went. So we're going to talking about some of the crazy stuff. Went Jelly.
Speaker: I did. I still have my badge on me right now. Look at you. So precious. Look at that. Some stuff I'm going to rant about. Some sports from you. We got some sad stuff in the news. Wait, what?
Speaker: Morty. Oh, you son of bitch. Oh, actually, i have a story about that. About Mitch McConnell or Morty? ah Morty. Oh, okay. So, uh... Yeah. um And then Mitch McConnell still alive.
Speaker: Is anyone falling for it? We'll find out. with and I do have a fire oven beer as well. Yeah. Cool. Well, let's get onto it. and's Let's start with a happy topic. Number one. And what's that, Ron? Happy topic. Number one. um Well, ah Trump is talking with Iran again.
Speaker: Oh, really? they took his phone call. Yeah. Allegedly they're talking, but Iran says they're not. Um, I mean, this is just, is he just talking to them and they're not, this is like, this is like a really bad relationship girlfriend. It's like, they're talking again. They're not talking again. They're fighting. They're not fighting. It's like just fucking ending.
Speaker: Yeah. Just end this fucking, it's been, good he said it'd be done in what, what, four to six weeks. It's been five fucking months now. Let's just end this shit, man This is ridiculous. Right. we we People need to stop dying everywhere.
Speaker: For what? For fucking what? This is ridiculous. We've talked about this before and it's just end this fucking shit. And he has correspondence dinner again. Oh, trump it yeah.
Speaker: I love I love a good correspondence dinner. And it was insane. CNN correspondent. ah Caitlin Collins actually won an award and then Trump made fun of her.
Speaker: And she got get to do that. He did. He made fun of her ah during a speech right in front of her. Wolf Blitzer looked like he wanted to beat the fucking shit out of Trump, which I thought. was i mean, the the man's name is Wolfgang. Do not piss him off. right And. um Yeah, she and she took she was a pro and she was recently on The Daily Show talking Jon Stewart about it and.
Speaker: I mean, she's a fucking she's a fucking professional, man. She likes nothing piss her off. she I mean, it was very impressive how she handled herself. Congratulations to her on that. Amazing. Yeah.
Speaker: yeah Yeah, I just realized I wrote correspondence wrong. in Oh, how embarrassing. I know. I did see his reaction and when people were like shit-talking him at his own dinner, and that was awesome. Yeah, but also what was interesting is that while he was making fun of Caitlin Collins,
Speaker: and nobody laughed, chuckled. They just sat there in silence. It's like Trump was bombing at his own fucking dinner. Like as a comedian, fuck.
Speaker: Yeah. And yeah he, do you remember when he was roasted? Yes, yes. Comedy Central goes to him. Yeah. That was back when we just liked him as a silly reality star, which he should have stayed at. When Trump was a silly reality that you fired, when he was doing all that shit, it was fine. It was entertaining. watched The Apprentice. I did. It was entertaining. But, you know, I never wanted him to run a country, any country. Right. Especially mine.
Speaker: Do you think any of the Epstein shit would have come out if he didn't run for president? Ooh, that's a good question. Um, probably not.
Speaker: Yeah. I can't see. I mean, I mean, it's good. It did come out because now we know, right michael Michael Jackson was trying to keep everybody safe the whole fucking time. Allegedly, yeah. no Michael Jackson but did not do anything wrong. No, no, that that's that' that's the crazy thing. is' like, hey, he wasn't on the flight. You would think of anyone. No, he was trying to protect the kids, and yet they turned it around because of his fucking catalog, and they're like, oh, no, he's doing that.
Speaker: um Yeah. I don't know if it would have come out or it may have come out a different way. Right. But, ah yeah. I mean, the fact that we have somebody in office who's tied to it is insane.
Speaker: Yeah, I know that. Well, you know. And and we we keep asking for it and we keep getting distracted by correspondence dinners. you Well, it i wars the wars. I mean, um you know, yeah, the the Romaine runs. I think they're called now the cycles. The Romaine runs Romaine lettuce cycles prices. Everyone's pooping themselves. Oh, was it wasn't. Was that a false positive? No, no that was a real thing.
Speaker: It was real? Okay. But that was due to... Apparently, psychosporiasis, if people didn't know this is going on in America. Apparently, we with making America healthy again, they removed all these programs and ah you know teams and stuff like that to actually look for psychosporiasis. And, of course, what happens? Lettuce became contaminated. It's in a lot of our fast food.
Speaker: And, ah yeah, so everybody's been pooping themselves. Yeah, yeah. I don't eat a lot of fast food, so I have Not well, I always, you know, I actually gave ah Burger King a chance the other day. Really? um Yeah, I did. I was like, you know what?
Speaker: They're not bad. Their burgers are good. i don't hate. Yeah. what Did we talk about this last time? We have mentioned bat fast food burgers before. Yes. Oh, I think we I don't know. i don't know who I talked with. I was having a Burger King conversation not too long ago, but I don't remember. Do you know what state Burger King started in?
Speaker: No. Florida, bitches. Really? Florida. Wow. hu kings do you know yeah Do you know what it's called in Australia? Hungry Jacks. Yes. Yes. um I assume it's to do with ah they don't want a king like name.
Speaker: i guess. It's a separation from. I don't know. I don't know. i mean, Pepsi Zero is called Pepsi Max in England. So I don't. Oh, is that true? Yeah. OK. Yeah. So what was Pepsi free?
Speaker: pepsi free yeah wasn't that a thing in the 80s isn't that the joke and back to the future have a pepsi free hey if you want a pepsi gotta pay for it oh yeah i i guess it was a could have been a sugar-free thing or a caffeine-free thing i don't i don't know i don't know i don't know uh i remember pepsi one oh yeah i remember the worst one do you remember dr pepper uh It was like Dr. Pepper 10 or something. It was. Oh, yeah.
Speaker: It was made for men. That was the marketing. Oh, because one because zero calories was like too feminine. Like guys aren't going to drink zero calories. So we put 10 in there for the man. I will be honest with you. Most a lot of people on the plane now when they order sodas, they ask for the zero version.
Speaker: Oh, yeah. Yeah. a lot Even I find myself if I don't drink a lot of soda, I drink i drink a lot of seltzer water. Yeah, I do. I do enjoy my flavored seltzer. It's because I'm cocky. However, I, you know, if if I do go have a soda, I try to go for a zero option just because. Wow.
Speaker: Why not? Yeah, i mean you're over here drinking Diet Coke. I am. I am. Which has a completely different flavor than Coke Zero. Yes, I agree. And I thought I was a fan of the Dr. Pepper zero, but um it's, ah yeah, I don't know. It gets a little bit syrupy for me.
Speaker: little bit syrupy. are Are you upset? Are you upset, Robert? Always. Are you upset? Are you going to rant? I think so, guys. Let's get on with this. I'm angry. You're angry. Let's be angry together. What do you say? Let's go, baby. Let's do it. What?
Speaker: Alright guys, this is going to be Robert Rantz. Something that happened to me. We're going to get into my time at Comic Con. But one of the things that I dealt with... So I got i got into some pretty cool stuff at Comic Con this year.
Speaker: The highlight being I got VIP into a surprise Green Day concert. Oh, cool. Oh, you were at that. cool I saw things about that. yeah that's cool. yeah So I say concert. They did a concert at ah at like a...
Speaker: a party, but then they did a thing. don't know one you saw where they were throwing ice cream or anything. Did you see that? No, I didn't see that. Okay, they're promoting a new movie called Nimrods, and I think it's like a, I think it's supposed to be like a unofficial biopic, like it's, or it's just about three guys starting a band, but they are Green Day-ish. I don't know. But anyway, it's their movie, and I got into VIP, and I was, uh,
Speaker: I remember I was cracking jokes to a guy next to me and he was just not having it. i couldn't tell I couldn't tell if he thought I was ah really stupid or what, or he just didn't have a sense of humor. They didn't realize that you were making jokes.
Speaker: Yeah. didt real And then he I could tell I was on his bad side because I said something like, I don't know, man. I was just happy to be in a VIP section. So was like, yeah, man, like this is for the Foo Fighters, right? Like something stupid. And but he didn't give me a look like that's not that funny. He gave me a look like I was serious. Yeah. Or like, wait, do you really think the Foo Fighters going to be here? Yeah, I've made that mistake before.
Speaker: Yeah. and I'm not going to call it a mistake because I think that person took it too seriously. Right, right. And then I asked him a real question later because I noticed the stage had no instruments. And we're out we're outside. It's daylight. And I'm thinking like, okay, Green Day is supposed to be here. I got the inside scoop that they're going to be here.
Speaker: But i don't see any drum set. I don't see anything. So I asked the guy. i was like, so is it weird that there's not a drum set here? And he looked like irritated. Like, i they're going to perform. And I'm like...
Speaker: Wait, no, no, no, but stop. Like, they're playing Green Day in the background. I'm like, there's drums in their music. So, yeah, it is a... what why are you Why are you upset that I'm asking this question to you? Like, it is weird that there's no drum set there yet, if they're supposed to perform.
Speaker: Why is there no drum set? Why is there nothing? Are they going to be here? Like, don't look at me like I'm an idiot. So, that was my rant. I just didn't like that guy, and he clearly didn't like me.
Speaker: Yeah, I, uh... I don't know why he kept talking to him. I would have been like, fuck you, dude. Yeah, he was next to me, I guess. but ah And yeah yeah you were obviously by yourself at this point. You had no friends with you at him this point? I had one friend with me, but he that he only knew as much as I did. so But anyway, Billy eventually came out, and they were just like throwing there there was an ice cream truck, and they were throwing ice cream out to the crowd.
Speaker: and he did jump on the ice cream truck and just sang some songs with his guitar and nothing else. So it wasn't like an official concert. It was like Billy was just kind of like singing few songs. Don't want to be an American idiot. Yeah, yeah, that song. That's Green Day.
Speaker: um and But it was fun. ah um Who else? Jenna Fisher was there as well. Oh, from the yeah. Yeah. So yeah all yeah. So she was there. And so I caught a T-shirt and I caught they're throwing out cassettes of the soundtrack.
Speaker: Cassettes. Oh, yeah. And cool. So I am showing it on video for those who are watching via video. I caught a cassette tape. And then lastly, they're thrown away. Is it a real cassette tape? like It's a real cassette tape. They decided to do like a funny retro thing and put their soundtrack on the cassette. four people can listen to it? Yeah, yeah. Only four people can do it. so Do you have a cassette player?
Speaker: No, I don't. I don't either. I'm sure I do somewhere around this house, but no, I don't. But there was a guy who... Well, I caught a guitar pick as well. I caught all the things, actually. And the guy... There was there was a different guy who said, Hey, I caught that. um There was a guy next to me who said, I'll buy that guitar pick for $20. And I was like...
Speaker: All right. So I took a guitar pick and I felt bad, but I was like, no, I need the money. And he's like, don't feel bad, dude. Like he was showing me like he had Green Day tattoos and all this stuff. And I'm like, OK, cool. Like he's like, no, man, you took he's a super fan.
Speaker: Yeah, he was a super fan and he was, he was, I was more upset than he was. And he's the one paying me. He was like, no man, I, you caught that fair and square. I'll easily buy that from you. And i don't know, maybe the guy's like sitting pretty, you know maybe 20 bucks is nothing to him. I don't know. But ah yeah, so did that. And so that was really fun. But yeah, my rant was like people that, you know, don't go with the flow with humor.
Speaker: i i have a similar story. I have a similar, if you'd like to hear it. I would. um I was trying to see the ball drop my first year in New York.
Speaker: Don't ever fucking do it. I thought this was like you at six or seven years old. I was with my roommate and it's 2005. Obviously, there's war going on. Or I guess you would have been like 12, 13. No, I was 18 years old. It was 2005 to 2006 and me and my buddy just started making jokes about the war.
Speaker: ah Like we're, we're seriously making jokes. Like you're not, we're joking. Like there's no serious. Right. Right. Right. And standing in front of us was a Marine in uniform. Oh, and he didn't like the jokes and we saw him. We're like, Oh dude, we were just fucking around. We were, we don't, we know we, we, you know, we're we're just kidding around. We support you and everything. Like we were, yeah. He actually got so upset. Him and his girlfriend walked out. Wow.
Speaker: um i don't know where that marine is i hope he's alive i uh thank you for his service and um you learn to fucking laugh dude sorry wow yeah it wasn't serious man we were joking what's it is there is there a term for when you run away in battle retreat retreat don't know i guess he retreated from you guys yeah he he didn't want to like hit us or anything he looked at us like very disappointed. I'm sure a lot of people in the military have experienced this. It's like, I'm writing for these people and I get no respect. And it's like, no, dude, we were fucking around. We also didn't know we were there.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Um, Yeah, I guess I'm a liberal douche, but it's fine. Yeah. Well, hey, it's fine, you know, but, you know, me me saying ah that I thought it was Foo Fighters and not Green Day is like, it's a dumb joke, but like, you know, whatever. yeah But anyway, however, there was, there there was, there was, however, now, if I were to to have that same reaction, I wouldn't be so apologetic. I'd be like, dude, I was fucking joking.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. it's not actually Calm down. I get that. ah But there was a lot of stuff that happened at Comic-Con. i don't know how much you're up to date with it. um ah Ebenezer.
Speaker: Okay, yeah, the Ebenezer Johnny Depp came out, which was really cool. So Johnny Depp came out into the public, like right in front of him as Ebenezer.
Speaker: And what was cool is that there was a guy dressed up as Edward Scissorhands. Yes, I saw that. I saw that. And he like talked with him and said like, he said something like, how do you wipe yourself after you go to the bathroom? there was somebody dressed up as the Mad Hatter and he's like yeah he said to him, like, yeah you know, you weren't loved as a child. where you were safe Right. Right. I did see the trailer for the movie, which makes me suspicious of the cosplayers, by the way. Yeah, I did. Go ahead.
Speaker: I was going to say, because it is odd that several Johnny Depp characters were waiting for him. And then in the trailer, it opens with like from the guy who brought you Captain Jack Sparrow, yeah the Mad Hatter. And I'm like, did they plant those cosplayers there? Probably. Because it would look for good content to have a video of it. Of course. ah But anyway, you were saying.
Speaker: I think his take on it's going to be interesting. It seems to be more comical than other adaptations of adaptations of it. However, nothing, nothing will ever be better than Muppets Christmas. Muppets. Yeah, was going to wait for it. Yep.
Speaker: Yep. All right. I'm sorry. The Marley and Marley song alone. Perfect. I agree. who yeah Well, no yeah the ah the big thing that happened at Comic-Con was a more Christmas.
Speaker: was ah the Marvel panel where the Avengers came out, X-Men came out, they showed some footage of Doomsday, and then the big announcement of Ghost Rider played by Ryan Gosling.
Speaker: Oh. That was the big announcement there. um And then also, what which was really cool, a big announcement, was the Spaceballs 2 panel where Rick Moranis came out.
Speaker: Oh yeah. I saw he was there. That's that was, that was a great highlight. Did you get to see him? Did you see him? did not get to see Ricky baby, but you know what? I felt his presence. I was fucking Ricky baby.
Speaker: I know. So that was cool. Um, what else? Obviously Robert Downey Jr. Was there, you know, all, all those, all those guys were there. Um,
Speaker: and And then, want something but something cool that happened to me on the way. So, on the way to Comic-Con last year, i i always take the train to San Diego, and I happen to sit near Seth Green. That was last year. But this year...
Speaker: I sat behind Chris Parnell. so if you don't know, do if you don't know, Chris Parnell is, he's the voice of Jerry on Rick and Morty. Yeah. He's also done a ton of other stuff, but which I thought was adorable. Parks and Rec. Yeah. Or is it 30 Rock or Parks and Rec? One of the two.
Speaker: But yeah, one of the two. And he plays that funny doctor. And I when I when I saw him, I looked over and I saw he was watching Rick and Morty. on the train 30 and I was on 30. He was on 30 rock.
Speaker: He was on 30 rock. And so I thought that was absolutely adorable, but I'm sure that he was watching Rick and Morty because he's going to do his panel. They're probably releasing new episodes. He wants to be up to date. So he's probably doing it. So he knows what the hell he's talking about.
Speaker: But I just thought it was funny watching Chris Barnell, watch Rick and Morty. That was, i thought that was cute. I, that's, that's awesome. Yeah. Rick and Morty's fucking great. I'm, I'm i'm a little behind like a season or two, but I love that.
Speaker: I did ah talk to him at the end. well Once we arrived, I said, oh, hey, Chris. And he's like, yeah. it's like hey I just said, hey, i like your stuff. And I said, oh, you're here for the Rick and Morty panel. He's like, yeah. And I just said, hu well, good luck getting in because the line's really long. And he laughed. and See? See? There you go. You made Chris Parnell laugh. Fuck that other guy. Yeah. but Fuck that other guy. That's funny. Good job, Robert. You know what? You know what? You got a clap. You got an applause.
Speaker: Yay. So shout out Chris Parnell. Super, super cool guy. We'd love to have you on the show. Yeah. Would you? Would you come on here? Come on, man. new'll beer we We basically know each other at this point. But yeah, that's all the crazy Marvel stuff that happened. like it man. I'm happy had a good time. And um just for the sake of maybe so maybe ah you know sponsorship one day, on how'd you get there? but You took the train, you said, right?
Speaker: Yeah, I took. ah And you took business you took business class? I took business class as well. was your Amtrak experience, sir? oh Well, Ron, I love the Amtrak yeah experience. I love the Amtrak experience. It was the Californian? Is that the line? yeah The surf liner, it's called. yeah I love taking the train. i got so much riding done. Such a smooth ride to the point where you don't even feel like you're moving. So I can't recommend it enough. That's right, guys. Amtrak, Amtrak.com. Amtrak, 100 years. Amtrak. Amtrak and Morty. I like it.
Speaker: There we go. Ride Amtrak and ride it fast. You me on a tangent now. What is your longest train ride? um Oh, ever? Probably over six hours when I was in Italy.
Speaker: Adorable. Adorable. I would love to do an overnighter where you get like a cabin. and my law i didn't I didn't have a cabin, but my longest train ride is New York to Tampa.
Speaker: Whoa. How long did that take? Over a day. Yeah. And then coming. Yeah. everybody But it reclines. It's, you know, it's nice. And then coming back. ah this It's funny. It was the same year that ah that the Marine got mad at me.
Speaker: Coming back, it was 18 hours delayed because a freight train derailed in front of us. So and then we sat in like Jacksonville for six hours. So, ah yeah, it was like 18 hours delayed.
Speaker: It was insane. Like the the train ran out of water. They supplied us with sandwiches. Like it was insane. Wow. ah We were all like so stressed. We were all smoking in the back cart, but you're not supposed to do. Right. But um the the conductors were letting us. They're like, just go in the back cart.
Speaker: So, yeah, you didn't you didn't meet a guy that you'd meet like a heavy set. I actually like I actually did meet a guy and and he gave me a bunch of music videos, like old classic rock music videos that I put on my old laptop.
Speaker: I didn't know if you met i didn't know if you met like a showering salesman who like I did not. I did not. No, very. i no No, I did not. But I'm. Yeah, I love the train. I love the train.
Speaker: I do too. Yeah. And that's great. I think it's great you take it you know You fuck the drive. And yeah and you don't need you don't really need to walk in San Diego, at least not in that area. There's a trolley system that's awesome. It's actually really good, yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. I will be in San Diego tomorrow. Oh, okay. Where? Well, I guess you don't have to specify. I will be staying. i can tell the neighborhood I'll stay. and I'll be staying in little Italy neighborhood.
Speaker: Oh, okay. So yeah, you're you're near Gaslamp. Yeah, sometimes we do stay in the Gaslamp. It depends on the layover and which hotel we use, but yeah. Okay, well, cool, man. that's ah That seems good. Yeah, sometimes I will walk to the Gaslamp. There's a good, what is it called? The Gaslamp Breakfast Company, I think it's called.
Speaker: They're really good. Lucky's Lunch Counter, which is right by Petco Park. I fucking love them. Okay. Yeah. So there's a lot of play there's a lot of places in Little Italy I love. I think it's Parakeet Cafe.
Speaker: Amazing matcha. And they have a lot of gluten-free options. I'm just trying to get any type of sponsorship today. Right. Exactly. we need money. Exactly. The industry sucks. Yeah. So love San Diego. Yeah.
Speaker: Sorry we couldn't. Sorry we missed each other. i was supposed to be in Burbank. I was supposed be in Burbank, but my flight canceled. Oh, and they sent me to like San Francisco for 12 hours. Yeah. So I didn't even get to go. That's not too bad. That's not too bad. Did you anything fun over there? No, because it was a short layover. So i basically got there, slept and then went to work.
Speaker: That was it. I, but it was fine. I got, you know, all right. Well, Hey, you know, but you, uh, I heard that there's, um, updates in the sports world.
Speaker: There are, there are, yes. But, um, do you want to a cold joke first? Oh yeah. ah Yeah, i mean, hey we could do anything that we want to do.
Speaker: We can. And it sounds like Ron has a joke ready to go. So let's get right into guys. is going to be cold jokes. Cold jokes. Dying from your cold jokes.
Speaker: All right. Cold joke from Ron. Let's go. Hold I just realized the typo. There's a typo.
Speaker: You can't I can't I got it. I got to have written correctly. You got to it. All right. Let's go into it. This is a big one, guys. So. All right. Cool joke from Ron.
Speaker: So on August 16th, ABBA's hit song Dancing Queen will be celebrating 50 years. Wow. There will be celebrations all over the world to celebrate this on September 2nd. It will be 29 years since Ron started masturbating. Oh, who knew? But both of these events will be a quick burst of joy followed by guilt and shame. You see, we we report on all the important stuff here at the Down With DP podcast. This is what happens when you give two struggling entertainers a platform. You get the best news followed by cheap masturbation jokes.
Speaker: After we are done recording today, I'm going to lie down and cry. Oh, thank God. Cry. Then pull myself together, drive my ass to crumble while listening to Dancing Queen and eat my cookie in my car while no one is looking. Drive home, listening to Waterloo and remind myself I'm still worthy, damn it, because I went to Comic-Con.
Speaker: Is this just is this my biography? and that is my I was, I was starting off with the ABBA thing and I was going to write something about like, you know, it's going to be in Mexico city. Then I'm like, you know just fuck it I'm just going to go. ha Hey, that is what you call a stream of consciousness, everyone.
Speaker: And, uh, that is a, I mean, that's a cold joke for the masses. So thank you so much for that. Appreciate it. from your culture but um i know i thought that was funny so i'm glad you really are enjoying it enjoyed my it's funny anyway sports sports uh you mean ron with sports me with sports
Speaker: Well, Robert, nothing really crazy going on in the sports world except LeBron James has picked a team. And where is he going to? the Lakers. No, he is going to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Speaker: sixirs philly That's right. Nobody saw that coming. He's going there for an $8 million dollars contract. I believe over two years, he thinks he can win Philly a championship.
Speaker: So that's what he's going to do. He's going there. He's actually going to be living in New York. So he will have one of the longest commutes for some reason, because why the fuck would he want to live in Philly? And I did read that this is the first time that somebody left Bel Air and went back to West Philadelphia.
Speaker: So, yes. So let's see what happens in the upcoming year, the two years with LeBron James. Otherwise, baseball moving along. Uh-uh.
Speaker: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Robert. We're to home for a second. Vita Vea did not, are one of our defensive linemen did not get contract extension. So he is asking for a trade from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. How dare he? I believe he's a nine-year veteran, Super Bowl champion with us.
Speaker: Yeah. So who knows where he will go. Hopefully the Bucs will smarten up and keep Vita Vea. And now back to you, Robert. All right. Well, back to me. I will say that I forgot where it was. It must have been San Diego.
Speaker: And I swear there was a TV playing and it was baseball. And I swear it said Devil Rays. So, yeah. So sometimes if it was a Friday night, so what what Tampa Bay will do, ta a lot of teams this, but Tampa Bay,
Speaker: wears their Devil Rays uniforms on Friday home game. So if they're home on Friday, they do some throwback action and bring back the old logo. Okay, that makes sense. I fucking love. I think the old logo fucking great.
Speaker: I have a shirt with the old logo. Oh, that's cool. Well, um but there's something else that some a shooting just happened. Oh, yeah. we got some fun stuff. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm not too familiar with this. So I'm a little familiar with it, but it is important and we should talk about it. I believe over the weekend at a...
Speaker: food festival in Seattle, a shooting took place, and I believe it was between two or three, like, 15-year-old guys. Okay. I think, like, three people died.
Speaker: few people were injured, and that includes a toddler, a two-year-old, got shot. Yeah, you you can hear the calls of them requesting a child's tourniquet for this baby. I mean, that's, I mean, just fucking awful.
Speaker: Awful shit. I mean, so heart goes out to them. Really? i mean, just fucking it's it's very upsetting that here in America we still have these fucking problems.
Speaker: Like it's so easy to get a gun, especially with ghost guns now, which is so fucking easy to get a gun and 15 year old kids just ruining their life over some probably something stupid. Right, right. And not only not only that they were trying to kill each other, they killed innocent fucking people, man. Mm-hmm. So, awful.
Speaker: ah yeah need And I hate to say it, but i'm sure you you may agree with me. Once you hear of a shooting, it seems to be like a domino effect. Then you hear of shootings all over the fucking place again. Right, right. hope this doesn't happen. um But pretty fucking sad.
Speaker: Yeah. Pretty fucking sad. ah Did you hear what happened in Berlin? ah No, I know that there was an attack. There was an attack, yeah. Um... a terrorist attack.
Speaker: um He was was a German citizen, but I believe he had a Lebanese descent and he was tied to Islamic terrorist groups. And he took his car and ran and drove it into the fucking crowd. And ease yeah, I think one person died and 29 injured.
Speaker: Wow. Yeah. There's no place for hate in this fucking world. Right. i Obviously, my heart goes out to them. Yeah. um Well, and then there was, I mean, we can get through all the sad stuff. Yeah, we do the sad stuff. Let's power through that. Then we'll do the sad stuff. Then we'll be funny again, I promise. Yeah, yeah, we'll be funny again because we got some wildfires in Spain and Wisconsin's been dealing with some weather issues as well. Because global warming isn't real. Climate change, it's not real.
Speaker: There are still icebergs, Ron. It's not They're still there. Nope. Yeah. So obviously, have you gone to Antarctica? It's freezing. Nope.
Speaker: Oh, bullshit. I kind of I kind of want to go to Antarctica. I would love to go. Just to say I did. Yeah. Hell yeah. But we're not scientists. so We're not. no No, we're not. We're not a Kirk. ah We ain't shit.
Speaker: What's his, what's his name? Was that in? No, that was that james kid James Cameron. Is that what you're thinking about? No, no. um From the thing, the movie, the thing. You haven't seen the thing. i have. It's just been a while.
Speaker: The classic. It is a classic. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, the Spain wildfire is just really insane. Kurt Russell. over there Kurt Russell. Good job. There we go. Got it. Got it. Really insane what's going on over there.
Speaker: And you, you've been affected by wildfires before. i mean, yeah, it is. The devastation is, it's insane. It's absolutely. Yeah. Well, um and what's last Robert? What's the last sad thing we have? Well, here's the thing. I thought this story was over, but I've been still, I still been seeing stuff about Mitch, mc them, them trying to sell a story. Oh, I was going to talk about, thought were going to talk about tornadoes first.
Speaker: Oh, yeah. Wisconsin has tornadoes. So Mitch McConnell. Oh, my God. No. Have you seen the devastation of that shit? Like neighborhoods completely like that. Fucking horrible. um Like I said, climate change is not real.
Speaker: No, because I have friends in Wisconsin. so Yeah, I do too. Heart goes out to all these people. You know, I wish we had a thing where we could donate, but we don't. Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: Well, ah but yeah, have you been hearing the like Mitch McConnell like AI stuff going on? Yeah, he like battled Stone Cold Steve Austin or some shit like that. I saw.
Speaker: Yeah, literally, I'm seeing this from NBC News. Mitch McConnell releases health updates saying he's not ready to return to work yet. The guy's dead. So I don't think he's officially declared dead. I think he's on really. I think he's on life sports.
Speaker: Oh, I think he's a white artist like that. I i mean, i want to see a video of him talking. Right. Real video. Not this AI of him sitting there in a pink polo, smiling with his wife.
Speaker: Right. Right. And you can see like her fingers are off there. Like his glasses go into his face. there but There's no, fight he he looks 15 years younger. Yeah. He looks great. fucking Way. Yeah. No, I'm sorry.
Speaker: Yeah. I'm sorry. I mean, but why, why are we covering this so much? I think it's because of the election. They they want to hide the election. they they don't want they won't the They don't want to hold a special election. I think that's what it is. I think they're trying to keep him around until... but you could appoint him.
Speaker: Yeah. You could appoint him. You could appoint this at... Like, Lindsey Graham, they appointed his... What was his sister? To his seat? Yeah. So, yeah it could be done. But, like, I don't know. I have no word.
Speaker: Yeah, I know. um Yeah, but they're rolling with it. I don't know what to make of it, but um he's not. He's yeah, that's he's he's I think he's he's on his way out. He's not he's either like you said, he's either dead or I think he is on life support. Just kind of lying there still technically alive, but on machines and will die the moment he's taken Right, right.
Speaker: It's, uh, I don't know, man. I feel for his wife, who's kind of, she probably wants to let him go, and because of the political intertwine, she can't. Right. So she's probably stuck just looking at him, just being dead, but yet breathing on a machine.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, absolutely. um But, hey, you know what can make ah all these things better sometimes? Well, buddy. is a you a drink. oh What say you?
Speaker: i have a drink, yeah. Short episode today. I like it. yeah let's I have a drink, yeah. We have a drink. We have a...

Speaker: i only put in $100 and I won $600. I can still win more. what did How did you win it? It was a what we call a 13-run pool. The first team to score 13 runs wins.
Speaker: um My friend who runs this pool all also does um zero to six. You win $600. So i did zero to six. Wow. That's cool.
Speaker: Yep. um Okay. It's clear. Typical-looking cider. Nothing special. It doesn't smell sweet. doesn't smell you know crazy. apple It just smells like cider. Frost. Frost.
Speaker: haven't had a cider in a while either. Robert. Oh, Robert. Is it so good? So it tastes like like apples, like Martinelli's apple juice kind of thing, but not as sweet.
Speaker: It tastes like real fucking apples. It doesn't taste fake or anything like that. It's really fucking tasty. So not like Apple Jacks, because those don't taste like real apples. Apple Jacks are fucking great. I know.
Speaker: They're still around, right? Yeah, i think so. That's a good question. We should find out. actually i haven't seen it. Are they gluten free? Probably probably not. This is delicious.
