Speaker: Hey, I'm a Brooklyn boy! You are not from Brooklyn! You grew up in Spring Hill, Florida! I was Kanasi Brooklyn... BITCH! I know all the- have never taken the L train in your life!
Speaker: Welcome to the...
Speaker: What's the deal? Let me try that again. It's the Down With DP podcast with Robert Dunn and Ron Prendamano in three night time.
Speaker: Yo, yo. Yo! Yo! How are ya? I have a new camera. i' very excited about my new camera. wow it looks great. four people that actually watch it out of the five people that actually listen to it, yes, thank you. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, if you want to see Ron in 1080p, hop over to YouTube.com.
Speaker: You can watch us on Spotify too. We're there. That's true. If I remember to upload on Spotify. Oh, did you hear about the YouTube thing? That's going, let well, let me introduce the show before I start going off. um ah This is a down with DP podcast with Robert Dunn and Ron Prenamano. And we're going to be talking about a few things here. And um yeah, I mean, we, we got, we got, we got, what do we got?
Speaker: We got we're going to talk about a celebrity death that's kind of affecting all of us right now. So we're going to talk about that. We are going to talk about some burgers, the top 10 ranked burgers in America. Yeah, we got we got some cold jokes and penetrating questions. Yep. bob Very important news relating to the Down With DP podcast. We'll get into that momentarily. And pizza. Why is it so fucking expensive?
Speaker: Right, right. That's yeah. So I mean, that's kind of a spoiler, but it's OK. That's going to be part of a Robert Rantz segment. But here's the thing, guys. Let's get into it.
Speaker: um First of all, before I talk about the YouTube thing I heard about, ah we've been doing this for like a year now. It's been one fucking year. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Everybody. The children are so happy. The children love us. The children love us. Yes, we have been doing down with this is our 47th episode. And this is we've been doing it for one year. I honestly wouldn't have known it if we did not get. um I got I got a thing that said memories one year episode dropping tomorrow. I'm like, oh, my God, it's our first fucking episode. And I do have to say from you've podcasted it before. This is my first thing.
Speaker: um We have come a long way. Yep. We have come a long way. I finally got a camera. so sir I know, today. the circle is complete. yeah um It has been...
Speaker: It has been a lot with this, but Robert, I have to say if this year has been fun. Yes. It is nice rekindling with you after 25 years of friendship. Out of 50 years. Out of 70 years. And oh yeah.
Speaker: So um I'm looking forward to another year. Hopefully we get some more traction and maybe start paying a bill or two with this. That would be nice. Yeah. And um ah yeah, it's been a great creative outlet.
Speaker: That's what makes it fun. Yeah. I can advertise it on my comedy show. And right yeah I'm not, I'm actually doing something. So it's kind of fun. Yeah. That's why I think I, what I've said before we did this where I don't know if I could do a podcast where it's one topic, you know, just talking about one topic. I think you and I could, if it was a good enough and serious and doesn't have to be like serious as in like, you know,
Speaker: It's super serious. Like, there's something we curious something we could actually maintain a conversation on for 45 minutes to an hour. Yeah, because I even know people that love movies and do movie podcasts, and they get bored, too. I think that, I don't know, there's something... i think i think the idea of us having... grant and From the feedback I get from people, the idea of us having... ran like a bunch of topics and stuff. It does keep it fresh and interesting.
Speaker: Um, some people, you know, they like the Robert rants. They like the jokes. They like the, uh, the fire Robin. Some people like it. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. So it's, uh, we, it's, it's, it's, unique it's a unique podcast. I mean, i think for two white guys doing a podcast, I think we're, uh, pretty deep. It's unique. Really? It's a unique white guy podcast.
Speaker: Unique New York. It's fun to be in the unique New York. You know, you need a unique New York. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So what i was going to say, um we're talking about YouTube dot com. YouTube just released that. I believe by the time this episode comes out, um they are doing this really silly thing where if you watch, if you like just click on a video that will be considered a view.
Speaker: It used to be that you have to have an engaging view to be considered a view. So if you see someone that has like a million views, that's like probably 30 seconds of someone. so you're, you're telling me we're going to go from six views to seven views.
Speaker: Yeah. Oh my God. Oh, this is exciting. So YouTube has been in a war with AI slot people. They've been trying to take down channels that are just, you know, pumping out AI slop in seconds, which are a lot, and which are a lot, yeah which are a lot. But now what I feel like they're adding more fuel to the fire, because now if you watch a single frame of a single video, that's a view. So you're going to have you're going to videos from everybody. Everyone's going to have a million views and it's not going to mean anything anymore.
Speaker: It's just going to, it's like the blue check mark where people bought a blue check mark. We're coming you, Beast. We're coming for you. Yeah. He's going to have like 75 trillion views. 75 trillion views. Yeah.
Speaker: It's just so silly. I don't know why they would do that. I heard that it was like for advertisers, but advertisers too, they're going to look at a million, you know, they're not, they're not, they're not dumb either. no, no. So anyway, anyway,
Speaker: find way away with stuff Yeah. Yeah. We'll see what happens. We'll see how many people get views. and Yeah. You know, it's going to be like those four perverts that get those creepy guys to get no views now have 7000 views. Yeah. Or or like they're going to bought things and just like, you know, have things on repeat and just like rank all these like views that no one's even watching. And it's just it's a whole it's a whole thing. You know, it's a whole thing, Rob. Yeah, but hey, that's okay. That's okay. Side note, I keep staring at my coffee because it's delicious.
Speaker: It's what? Delicious. okay. It is, i don't know if you noticed me kind of giving my coffee weird looks, but it's very, very good. It's from Hub, the Hub Roastery in a Reno, Nevada. It's actually really good.
Speaker: that's cool. Yeah, yeah just throwing that out there, not looking for anything. All right. Aaron Reno, go it kind of has like a coconut cream flavor to it. There's no flavoring in it. It's just, oh, this is fire Robin coffee.
Speaker: Fire Robin coffee. like what you did there. Yeah. I like what you did there. Blah, blah, blue, ble blah, coffee. Hey, give me a shot of that espresso. You're just jealous because I have good.
Speaker: I know am a little bit jealous, but you should. um But also sometimes, um you know, sometimes I can get like angry too. Oh, you want to rant already? We're eight minutes into the fucking episode. i mean it ran It is. It is next up.
Speaker: So I might as well. All right. Oh yeah. This is something that I dealt with lately and I'm going to get into it. So let's do it.
Speaker: So the other night, I thought I'd treat myself, Ron. I thought I'd treat myself and order a pizza. Whoa, he stole that guy's pizza. Do you know what line that's from?
Speaker: No, it's familiar, but no. Yeah, so it try is it's this this guy, he's looking up at the sky and he's like, whoa, he stole that guy's pizza. Drop it in the comments, guys, if you know what it is. It's from Spider-Man 2 and it's the very beginning of Spider-Man 2. But so the other day I was like, I haven't had pizza in a while and I'm going to order a pizza. And there was this new place that opened up in Burbank. I don't want to say what it is because I'm kind of going to shit talk them. And their bottom their bottom pizza was forty one dollars.
Speaker: For pizza for one pie. For one pie. $41. And if you go on other like franchises like Pizza Hut and stuff, it's kind of not too far off. Like like high 20s, low 30s. And when did pizza become so expensive? I ended up getting pizza at, oh, what was it called? um some ah Some pizza joint that like families go to. So like you know they're not trying to... ah They're not trying to like up it too crazy.
Speaker: But um I had an email. Oh, that's another thing I can rant about. You ever order something online that's like bad food and you get an email later and they're like, oh, let us know about your experience. And you're like, I don't want to remember that moment.
Speaker: Don't I don't don't tell me. I get that all the time. But yeah, when did pizza become so damn pricey? I ended up ah finding one for like 20 bucks, but it used to be a thing where you're hanging out with your friends and you're like, oh, let's get a pie.
Speaker: Okay. I usually don't interrupt the Robert Rance. No, go for it. What did you get on it? what Was it a plain pie? Just pepperoni. What extra sauce? So I'm here at a, I'm looking up about a great pizza spot in Briarwood, Queens called Alba's. Fucking Alba's is delicious. by the way, you don't know.
Speaker: And this is before I had my issues, my allergy issues. aha A large 18-inch pie with pepperoni, 22 bucks. 22 bucks. 22 bucks.
Speaker: So, yeah, it's, I don't know what the fuck you're ordering from, but you got fuck ah Well, I think this place, it's new. I think they're trying to come out as like, we got really good pizza. So good, we charge double. That's how i mean there there is a place in the city that charges like 60-something for a pie.
Speaker: um oh really? Jesus. yeah up and you have And you can only order pies, but apparently you have to – I forget the name of the place, and I don't care to look it up. But apparently it's very good because these these chefs actually use like this – crazy technique and their dough is supposed to be really superior. So yeah, you're paying for quality, but the people that have tried it are like, either it's like the greatest thing in the world, but like New Yorkers are like, eh, it's okay. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, a shout out to, if I had to give shout outs to,
Speaker: pizza places in New York. Shout out to Crispy's. Shout out to Armando's. and Specifically Crispy's, specifically the one in Brooklyn. um And then also shout out to Spamoni Gardens. Those are my top three.
Speaker: Shout outs I'm going to do right now. um We have laranine La Q Gardens, Queens as well.
Speaker: Margarita Pizza in Jamaica, Queens. Those who know who fucking know. You know? I'm going to go to the city and I'm going to two. We got Vito's. Vito's is fucking delicious.
Speaker: And Vinny's Gluten-Free Kitchen. Probably some of the places doing the best gluten-free slices out there. well Okay. hey My gluten-free followers to find a slice of gluten-free pizza instead of having to order a whole fucking pie.
Speaker: Right. It's insane. However, those slices are eight, nine bucks. Yeah. However, delicious. And I would say if you're visiting visiting New York, I know it's going to be hard to to avoid is this tempting, but don't go for that dollar slice pizza in Manhattan. those It fucking sucks. So some of them are good. and Unless, I mean, maybe I went to the wrong one. Here, I will say it's good if you're like drunk and you're like, I just want to consume food.
Speaker: Yeah. I mean, okay Danny's pizza in Q garden, sweet sauce, delicious pizza. However, I think they're much better when you're drunk. okay They're very good. People love them. Their pesto slice is fucking phenomenal. I'll eat that any day.
Speaker: It's like when you're taking home a grenade, you know, Ron. It's better when you're drunk. That's a Jersey Shore reference. I'm scared of references today, Robert. I like it. I like it all lot. I got nothing but references. I have no identity. Higher price pizza, I will say dollar slices are no longer dollars.
Speaker: They're like $1.25, $2.00.
Speaker: see that See, so so I can talk of the aspect of slices being too expensive. I don't you normally do pies, but like, okay, gluten-free slices, we're I'm not talking about those because those are going to be fucking expensive regardless.
Speaker: Yeah. You're paying $4 for a fucking plain slice? I have an issue with that. Right. I don't know how much. $2, $2, $3. Let's it up. Let's look it up. Because Spumoni Gardens has a line specifically just for slices, and it's great. I always get the Sicilian at Spumoni Gardens. Sicilian slices are fucking phenomenal.
Speaker: Yeah, they're so good. They do with the thing where it's like sauce on top, cheese on the bottom. So it's a little bit different. but ah Yeah, I mean, but there are me. Okay, the original but i was the original location, right? That's what you're talking about? want yeah In fact, ah my TikTok profile picture is me eating a slice of pizza at Spamoni Gardens. so <unk> ah allowedund her A large round cheese pie, playing a plain pie is $24. There's a Sicilian pie is $35. So you still got fucked. Well, Sicilian is like a different – that's like a pretty – No, but still, you paid $40-something for a pepperoni pizza? Yeah, well, and as I'll say it. I definitely didn't do it. I didn't pay that because I was like, damn, ah too rich for my blood.
Speaker: But let me see. I'm going to look up the place I did go. I think it's like a silly – not the place that's charging an arm and a leg, but ah the place that –
Speaker: that I actually ended up getting from. Okay. It wasn't like Shakey's or anything. What was it called? Hold I'm going to find it. Everyone's on the edge of their seat right now. Everybody's on the edge of their seat. yeah They're like, tell us the pizza place already. The pizza place actually is. 450 for a slice.
Speaker: Okay. its table 450 also for a Sicilian slice as well. So it's the same price for either. so that's Wow. I went to round table pizza. Anyway, it's just like a ah chain where get cheap pizza for the family, but not bad. Pretty good pizza. It's kind of like the, what what are your thoughts on? Cause I know it gets a lot of praise and, and I think it is really good, but Chuck E. Cheese pizza.
Speaker: They sell it in the frozen food. It's cafeteria pizza, man. It's cafeteria pizza. It's good. It's fine. It does the job. I have, we talked about this before that if you, if you marketed, Hey, we're selling cafeteria pizza in the process. food yeah We have, we have talked about, I think that would sell really well. I think you're right. Um, let me ask you this. Do you have a favorite pizza spot in spring Hill?
Speaker: Spring Hill, probably, uh, PJ's or pizza Villa. Pizza Villa. Okay. I was always a fan of Village Pizza. Oh, wait. I think I'm thinking of Village Pizza. Village Pizza was on Deltona Boulevard over there? Yeah. ah yeah I think there's one on Springle Drive in Linden, I think. Okay.
Speaker: So, yeah I used to love Village Pizza. I thought they were the greatest thing in the world. And then I went to school in New York. And you found out it was people. And I came back and i was like, this is not good.
Speaker: So, I mean, Village Pizza is staple in Spring Hill. I mean, if they're still around, I think they are. They are a good pizza. However... um Yeah, not when I grew up with it. My parents, and I loved it too, but PJs, and it was like Mariner and Springle Drive, i would would they'd order PJs all the time.
Speaker: And it was really good. It was really good, I'll say. I think my sister goes to, I think it's called 1,000 Degrees now or 10,000 Degrees or something like that. oh yeah. That's a chain, if not mistaken. chain, but they're pretty good. Yeah. They're actually pretty good.
Speaker: I don't knock chains, bro. My chain hangs low. So, um yeah. But as far as my very favorite, the best pizza I've ever had was probably Krispy's in Brooklyn. um I forgot. I think I got some kind of pepperoni and the sauce was like vodka sauce. And I think they drizzled hot honey. They did some weird shit to it. And yeah, it was so fucking good.
Speaker: The hot honey craze. it's It's a bit overdone. Wow. Wow. Okay. It's good though. It's good. It is good. It is good and good for you. I think we talked about the hot honey craze, didn't we? A few episodes ago. Probably. I'm still not over it, but I want to go back. It's been It's been a year. Yeah. Cause I did a pizza hop in one time in Brooklyn and that was great. That was great.
Speaker: um But what that that's my rant about how a piece is so expensive. But here's some news. um I don't know if you heard, ah but I don't know how to pronounce her last name. Indy Navarretti. Okay.
Speaker: I'm sure it's going to be more common years to come because she's going to be super duper famous if she's not already. ah The girl from Obsession ah has been cast as rogue in X-Men.
Speaker: So she is going from this indie feature to the big the big leagues. She is now Rogue and X-Men. I think she does fit the role.
Speaker: i think I think she's going to be great. But um something that I saw where you know they're definitely trying to, and and you know rightly so in a sense, where they're trying to say she started you know so small and she got big.
Speaker: And she did. She did. But I remember seeing something where it said like she was she was like this this Twitch streamer. Oh, I think she she's I think that's perfect casting. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Perfect casting.
Speaker: And they were saying something like, ah you know, she was a Twitch streamer that was paying her rent by Twitch streaming. And now look at her. And I'm like, but I feel like Twitch streaming and paying your bills is an accomplishment of its own.
Speaker: Like, if you were playing video games to make a living, that's pretty cool. Like, I think that's pretty awesome. She has been... not doing a lot, but she's been doing films since 2018. She was on the Superman show, too. She's been doing... Superman and Lois. She's a main character. She's been acting on TV since 2019. And, like, 2021 to 2024, she did have... Played Sarah Cortez in Superman and Lois. she's...
Speaker: i played sarah corte and superman lois so she's um Yeah, I mean, working for a while I've been famous. She won. She won a few awards with obsession. See, I have a problem with Hollywood when they do this. shit Yeah, you you cast a nobody.
Speaker: Right. You cast somebody they've never heard of before. They don't know. And the critics are quick to judge. It's like, how are people supposed to get a fucking head that they got a breakout role? This is it's called a breakout role for. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. Like. It's like, oh, casting, no you know, to play Clark Kent's son, Robert Dunn. Like, are you serious? Like, fuck you. Like, man needs a breakout role. She needs a breakout role. This is her breakout role. She's already got some decent credits.
Speaker: She's got some film festival awards. Why not? And even if she was a nobody, so fucking what? she She fits the role. Right, right. This is called acting. Yeah. She auditioned. She got the part.
Speaker: End of story. It's kind of like they announced I forgot which character, but they announced. um Oh, crap. what Shit. What's his name from ah who played Kylo Ren? Oh, Adam Driver.
Speaker: Yeah, they they announced Adam Driver as some huge character in X-Men. And I'm like, okay, we ran out of A-listers. Anyone else left? you know in this he He got shit for coming out with Star Wars.
Speaker: When he got cast for Star Wars, I believe he got shit. Because he was Nobody knew who he was. He was fucking amazing. Right, yeah. Have you seen Black Klansman? He's fucking amazing in that movie. I did see that. He was really good. Great. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. um But I'm just I just am happy. to It's just that I don't get terribly excited when they when they put a listers on big franchises. Now it's almost expected is my point. So when they announced Adam Driver, i was like, yeah, that makes sense. Like he's an a lister.
Speaker: I mean, as as no one offense the actor, but as long as it's not Timothy Chalamet. I get that. yeah I mean, he doesn't does he doesn't need to play everything.
Speaker: Right, right. So, um yeah, so ah not that no, no, no hate towards Adam Driver. yeah that As Ren and Stimpy. Oh, my God.
Speaker: i did read a thing that he was ah that he was ah up for Peter Parker in Spider-Man. I could see it. I mean, that's castable. I think I could see it. It's just give it to someone else.
Speaker: Yeah. What's about this with the voiceover work? No, and unless you're like somebody who does a bunch of small roles for a living, you're not going to get a big role in a movie because an A-lister is going to take it.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you, Disney and Robin Williams. No offense to Robin Williams. It wasn't his fault. He tried hard to not have his name on it. But yeah. Right. Right. That's why I was saying ah the fact that Jim Cummings was still able to play Winnie the Pooh in the Christopher Robin movie says a lot because he's the guy. He's Winnie the Pooh.
Speaker: But we've talked about this before. this This is the episode. It's the year episode. We can bring things back up. It's fine. We're going to show the greatest hits by reenacting them instead of just. Yeah, exactly. There you go. But the fact that he Jim Cummings is not a Disney legend pisses me the fuck off.
Speaker: Yeah. Like Disney has failed to recognize him as a legend. I'm sorry. Didn't he fill in for Scar? During Be Prepared. be prepared Did you know this? You didn't know this. no So the actor in The Lion King, the song they got rid of in the remake. he prepared That song?
Speaker: Yeah. Okay, that that at the... See, Jeremy Irons, that's right. Jeremy Irons, while doing that number, he had an issue with his voice and couldn't finish it.
Speaker: So they got Jim Cummings to come in and finish the rest of the song. Wow, I didn't know that. So but at the end at the end, where they like the the the rocks are rising and stuff like that, that's Jim Cummings. If you listen slightly, you can hear it.
Speaker: that's That's really hard. Voice matching is hard. voice matching yeah and And it's not done anymore. Right. That's not done anymore. Usually technology does that to get an actual person to do it. Yeah. But yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. know The only credit he actually had in that movie was ed um Oh, really? He was the Hyena Ed. That that was Jeff. Yeah. Because it was him, Whoopi Goldberg, and... Cheech Miriam.
Speaker: Okay. Cheech Miriam. I mean, ah the only thing I can think of is, didn't he like, didn't it something, not to bring up any negativity, but I thought something happened with him politically. that Jim Cummings? With Jim Cummings. I thought that was like a thing, and then...
Speaker: Or he said something. i don't know. you you know how it can get. And i really don't know. Maybe it was terrible. And I just don't remember. But. I don't recall. And based on the amount of fans that he has in the comments calling for him to be a legend, I don't think anyone gives a fuck. The guy deserves it. I mean, come on. He's Winnie the Pooh. He always was among other characters, of course. It's it's like, okay, it's also if people who deserve recognition. Chyna, the wrestler. Chyna.
Speaker: She deserves. Good job. She deserves to be in the w WWE Hall of Fame as a solo performer, not just with DX. There, I said it. Whoa, and we're breaking new ground, people. You heard it here first, down with DP Podcast.
Speaker: Controversial takes. and and And that is something that a lot of people in the wrestling community do talk about. But yes, she should be in there. Just like Jim Cummings should be a Disney legend. Yeah, I agree. Is Tom Hanks a Disney legend?
Speaker: Probably. Yeah. Probably. Yeah. Have you ever been to Club 33? no Okay, pretty. i Were you against going to Club 33? No, I just... No! I would never step foot in there. Tom Hanks is not a Disney legend. I don't even know what Club 33 is.
Speaker: Oh, you you really don't? Because I'll tell you what it is. Well, I figured would. figure you would ah So, Club 33 is... Oh, I do know what Club 33 is. That's the fancy thing at Disney, right? That's the secret place to go. That's the VIP place. Yeah, you know? Yeah, you have to be invited...
Speaker: to go to club 33 it's like a whole thing and um yeah it's ah i haven't done it before i was gonna say have you been there robert i would love to are you that fucking special that you got to go up there man i wish sorry i don't even know how you become a member of club 33 uh you probably just need a lot of money i heard a friend of mine knew a dentist who was a member of club 33 so you'll be a dentist Ooh, there's some little shit, little shop. was going to say invasion of the body snatchers, but I'm just thinking of the plant, you know, the plant, right? Yeah. So feed me. See more.
Speaker: Yeah. um But yeah, would love to go. Even though I hear it's just kind of like an exclusive restaurant and drinks. And I don't think it's free. I think you still have to pay for food and stuff.
Speaker: Like, I have no desire to go into something. I mean, it's if I got accepted, if someone said, hey, Ron, come to this, I'd be like, sure. And if somebody was paying for me, I'd be like, absolutely. but yeah, if we get bought out by Disney, Disney's down with DP podcast. wait Here we go. Thank you, Internet. It is a yearly membership fee. This is where you were right.
Speaker: A hundred grand. Oh, well, let's go. We'll we'll go half C's. So but only half of our bodies can go with that one time. Yeah. or we can find 15 other people and we could all pitch in under my name. And this would cause a membership at Disneyland and Walt Disney World have previously reported to be 35 grand followed by an annual do a 15 grand as a 20. Do 15 grand. geez As of 2025, the cost of membership reportedly includes a $65,000 initiation fee varying between individuals and corporations and $20,625 annually for individuals, more for corporations.
Speaker: That better be a fucking good piece of pastry this when I walk into that bakery. This is from Wikipedia, by the way. Club 33 members and their guests are required to abide by a strict conduct strict code of conduct while in the premises. This includes a dress code for both dining rooms. I promise to behave with dignity. while I'm out and good taste and restrictions for both photography, videography, refusal to abide by these standards may result in refusal of service and potentially a revoke of membership.
Speaker: So question, you have to dress nice. So this club is in the theme park, by the way. It's not like a separate. So if I'm if it's fucking hot, if it's summer hot, how nice do I have to dress to get into this club? Because I'm not putting on a suit in the fucking theme park.
Speaker: So is it just mean I'm not I'm not like dress too silly. Like, what does this mean? I don't know, but I'm just curious how connected Club 33 is to the Epsteins. I'm just saying. Oh, wait. Where did this come from? This is a curveball. I mean, it's it's it's a lot of money to get in.
Speaker: And who has a lot of money? I'm just saying. Well, now we're definitely not getting in now, You've made that comparison. can edit this out. My God. I can't believe you just said that. I mean, anytime things are that elite and that much money to get in, question them. Yeah, you definitely murdered someone. I'm like, who goes to these places?
Speaker: like I know there's Disney adults, and I'm sure there are plenty of Disney adults that, would if they had the money, would pay to go in there. But like the ones that are going in there, who the fuck are you? Well, I guess that ruins my Christmas gift for you. So, all right.
Speaker: You know how many people had to murder to get this? Whatever. 33. You have to murder 33 people. And then you get in and then pay a hundred thousand dollars. So yeah you ain't shit. you know yeah So, but ah i don't know. Hope to get in there someday, get invited. i don't have to be a member, but you can get invited. I'm down. If I got invited in there, I'd go. Sure. Why not? I mean, just to see if I go there, it better to be the best fucking cocktails I've Right. I hear there's alcohol in there and there's food. I'm like, how good can that feel be? better be the best steak I've ever had or the best lobster tail or something. I have done the Disney package for Disneyland. think it's the Blue Bayou package where you go to the fancy. okay. And that's really cool because the I mean, don't know how it is in Disney World, but in Disneyland in Anaheim, the restaurant is right at the edge of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. So you see people on the ride going past you.
Speaker: And that's kind of cool. And it's like, yeah. And then and then you also get exclusive seats to the parade. So you're like front row of like watching the parade. And you also get, i mean, a lot goes lot a little, little goes a long way, but you get a little seat cushion too, to sit on the ground, to watch like the boat. Listen, I will not listen. They they help the padding. Have you, have you not been to Walt Disney world?
Speaker: Oh yeah. I mean, and not a long time. I've gone to Epcot many times throughout. i have not been to Disney. Oh, like magic kingdom. At any Disney park. Oh,
Speaker: Since 2004. Wow. and oh Was that like a grad bash thing? No, no. I'm not even talking about grad night. um ah yeah a Grad night might have been the last time I was at Disney. Yes. But to actually go to Disney. Yeah. um I went with my girl. I did it in high school. She took me to MGM.
Speaker: Oh, I never been. Well, MGM is now the Hollywood Hollywood Studios. Yeah, exactly. But um I have not been there since. It's a trip to go to the Hollywood one when you do live in LA because you just see things where like certain streets that intersect don't intersect for real. And you see like the Chinese theater. This is a lie. is a lie. Oh, you're all liars. Yeah. And you get a little hipster. You're like, this is not how it is in the real Hollywood. And, but you know, you let it go. It's fun.
Speaker: um They have like sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, like intersecting. And it's like, Oh, those are two separate streets. ah it's it's It's kind of like it's like you're go walking into a bizarro world. It's like imagine if they made a theme park for Queens. It'd be weird. It'd be weird.
Speaker: ah Mike. but but Sorry. i mean a theme Okay, calm the fuck down. Okay, I'm sorry. I did go a little far. it's like i think queens is I think Queens is great. Queens is the greatest borough in New York City. You watch your mouth.
Speaker: Whoa, whoa. No, i will so I will die on this hill. Queens is the best borough in York. Hands down. Okay. Hmm. Hmm. How the fuck would you know? How the would you know?
Speaker: barbank Oh, I know, brother. Little Burbank bitch, calm down. Hey, I'm a Brooklyn boy. You are not from Brooklyn. You grew up in Spring Hill, Florida. I was Canasi Brooklyn... You know nothing about Mars. I know all the, I know. have the You have never taken the L train in your life. You have no fucking L train. You're the L train.
Speaker: Wow. i am lla my for i have L on my L on my forehead. If you're watching the video on youtube.com, you can see it. So, ah yeah, my ah but Epcot is my go to theme park. I try to do drinking around the world and I never I never make it to the end. It's too strong. And I know I can drink around the world in Queens. You know that? and No, you don't need to go to Epcot for alcohol, people or Club 33. However, haven't because I haven't been to Epcot since I was a teenager. I would love to go to Epcot now and drink around the
Speaker: Well, maybe I would risk my allergy. I would risk my allergy. I think we should though. I agree. I'll go to Epcot and we'll film it and it'll be great. We will get kicked out and banned from Disney.
Speaker: Probably. So do you have a cold joke today? I don't know. I kind of hate you now. I don't know. Oh, it because I said Queens wasn't, because I made a throw up? A little bit, yeah. Yeah, a little bit. Oh, well, you were making noises, and then so I made a noise. I have a cold joke, Robert. Okay, great. Let's do Play the goddamn song.
Speaker: Cold jokes, dying from your cold jokes. But for real, I don't hate Queens. Now you have to give you damages done, fucker. But hey, like, you know, like a typical New Yorker, you're super sensitive.
Speaker: But hey, don't.
Speaker: Uh oh. Oh shit! Oh shit! Show you how to it. Queens, motherfucker. Yeah, that was cold joke number one. Alright. I have one cold joke today. You have, uh... Three. Three? Alright, so... Are they gold? No. No. No, these all suck. These are all bad. Um... Um... Uh, you... Would you like to me to go first? Then you do all three at once?
Speaker: Or would you like to sandwich it? We can sandwich it. All right. At least I'll send you one so that people aren't getting too much Robert jokes. you know that That could be too much. I know too much Robert's bad. Your girlfriend even complains. Hey, I'll tell you.
Speaker: I'll tell you. um All right. Let's hear go. Cold joke. Number one. with the rodney the Really? The first words I read and this is where we're going today. Yep.
Speaker: Porn stars are in an uproar about AI taking their image to make porn that they never started. I, for one, understand their concern and demand everyone stand up against this by sending me directly to this disgusting and insulting AI content so I know exactly what to boycott.
Speaker: i absolutely I agree. I agree 100%. Send me these videos. I want to see this. I want to know what's wrong. We got to stand up to this madness, this porn. Send me the porn so I know to block it.
Speaker: and james It is interesting, though. um Yeah, it is. It is weird. Like, it's either like two people fucking or it is like two monsters fucking. Make the cocks bigger, brother.
Speaker: They make them veiny. Really veiny. Yes. I'm like extra veins, extra girth. Yeah, I'm like, that's mine. Like, hey, who who's taking pictures of my dick and using it for AI? Am I guys? I think I should complain.
Speaker: I think this is, I'm suing. All right, here we go. Cold joke from Ron. Over two weeks ago at a crumble location, God, over two weeks ago at a crumble location in Charlotte, North Carolina, employees were fired after someone came there to get their hair done.
Speaker: In the video, you can see an employee pouring something onto someone's hair. See, the cookie sucks so much that people would rather get their hair done in there than eat a cookie. I don't understand any of that, Ron. I'll be honest. I feel like this is a stream of consciousness. So um why why Charlotte, North Carolina? what this season because Is AI generated?
Speaker: No, this is 100% true. this is Oh, really? Yes. this is Oh, that makes sense then. I will go for my cold jokes. I will look at like current events and weird stories. I just look up Crumble News, and that's what popped up. about yeah Crumble News. that that Yeah, I just –
Speaker: Crumbled News! Crumbled News! Crumbled News! bad do to do do do do to do do do to do Today on Crumbled News. Today on Crumbled News, cookies fell on the floor today. The Kruppi, yeah. ah We tried. we tried Sorry, I was ah taking a sip of that Diet Coke, brother. Alright, here we go.
Speaker: Cold joke. Cold joke number two. Here we go. here we go Mamma Mia, immigrants are moving into Italy. No, no, no. Mamma Mia. Mamma Mia. Sorry, I thought the musical.
Speaker: Mamma Mia. Immigrants are moving into Italy. The locals aren't happy and are begging for the government to do something about it. Luckily, the Trump administration stepped in to help when they're developed ah where they developed a task force that planned to find these immigrants and take them down. The name of the task force?
Speaker: Italian ICE.
Speaker: Literally, literally dying. All right, here we go, guys. Last joke from, you know, your your favorite comedian on the podcast. Here we go. hey oh who whoa wait Hey, I tell you, I tell you, no respect. No respect for Queens, I tell you.
Speaker: um All right. wo All right, here we go. That Diet Coke's hitting, Ron. Sorry. Here we go. Last cold joke from Robert. Now, I'm not approved by any stretch of the imagination, Robert.
Speaker: You know I'm not one to poo-poo on someone's parade. And I've definitely indulged in my fair share of a sinful lust. Personally, I find that I find people that don't warn you ahead of time that you're walking into a bukkake session to be a real to be real circle jerks.
Speaker: That's right. I find people that don't warn you ahead of time that you're walking into a bukkake session to be real circle jerks.
Speaker: Oh, that was great delivery, Ron. Thank you so much. Yeah, well written, Robert. Well written. Thank you. Thank you. Do you blame the writer or the actor? That's the question. In this case, the writing. Sorry. I would have done the Italian ice joke last. Yeah. Yeah, that was the best one. But you know why? Because I had two, like, sex porn related ones. There's never enough. You can always have enough sex porn related.
Speaker: Always. Always. Okay. We can do it. You know, that's one episode we could do. We could talk all about porn for a fucking day. Yeah, that that's why that's why you got fired from the church staff, because that was your whole thing. There's never enough porn that we can talk about. not why. It's because I refuse to eat the bread of Christ because there's wheat in them, and I refuse, and they got mad at So Jesus is not gluten-free?
Speaker: Apparently not, Robert. Apparently not. Do you think, ah I mean, if we were to say that Jesus was around, do you think do you think he had any allergies at all? You don't you don't think God gave himself like something?
Speaker: Like really, you have no allergies. You could do it all. You're not even pollen. You're not sneezing from pollen.
Speaker: Has Jesus ever sneezed? Has Jesus ever sneezed? I'm sure he has. He was a human being. Yeah. Yeah. whether Whether he was you know the son of God or not or whatever people want to you know debate.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure he sneezed. Right. Yeah. i'm I'm sure he did. I don't know. did he have out Did he have food allergies? I mean, he was Jewish, so he probably never knew if he had a shellfish allergy or not.
Speaker: Uh-huh. Also, aren't you not like allowed to eat shellfish something? Correct. Correct. So... Thins and scales. That's the only thing you're allowed to eat. So, oh, ends and scales. No, no shelf. But do you think there's a part of him that was like, I'm God, I can do anything.
Speaker: Fuck your rules. No, I don't. my rules. No, I don't think so. No, I don't think he's like that at all. No. Yeah. Great. All right. Well, I'm going to move on to something not as fun. I would have loved Queens.
Speaker: Oh, Queens is great, Ron.
Speaker: Okay. All right, man, I gotta watch myself. um So, unfortunately, we get we got some sad celebrity news. We do. We do.
Speaker: Hayden Penetier passed this week. Yep. And too young. She was 36. 36. 36. I think she was about to be 37. Not sure. don't think there's toxicology report. So, I read that... not sure i don't think there's a toxicology toxicology report so i read i read that um she was ah that ah she was a found in car that she was cardiac arrest.
Speaker: been cardiac Now, there is a conspiracy theory about this. Have you heard about this? Yeah. that yeah So apparently, and based on Hollywood, this is possibly possibly true.
Speaker: She was going to name names. of ah Of predators in Hollywood. she Now, there was an interview ah from her years ago where she claims she was, and you can see the fear in her eyes during this interview, so I believe it's true.
Speaker: She was on a boat, and they took her into this room, and this very famous person was standing there, buck-ass naked. Okay. And, um you know, she on a fucking boat. She couldn't go anywhere. And so the theory is that she was going to name names.
Speaker: And because to to keep everything private, she was killed. Oh, very positive. Yeah, I would need more evidence. I know that. it's obvious Yeah, this is a theory. This is a theory. It's always so anytime a celebrity dies, it's always two things that I see. One, Hollywood killed them in a certain way. Secretly, they made it look like cover up or two. It was a vaccine.
Speaker: That's because there's a pretty unhinged guy on my Facebook. Every time there's like A death? Sorry. Every time there's a death, I always see his comment. Because sometimes you see your friends' comments on public stuff first. sure. And it's always like, were they vaccinated?
Speaker: Every time. And it's like, bro, get over it. Get the fuck over it. but they vaccinated? If they went to school in America, yeah, probably. Yeah, it's just so dumb. Anyway, I don't want to get on a vaccine. So were you.
Speaker: you fuck um But yeah yeah, I don't know. I also heard things, but you don't know because there's no report and I hate the likes. Also the postpartum depression, that she was going through a lot with that apparently. yeah um She had her book that was out. She just wrote a book, yeah. um It just sucks. She was young. I mean, I loved her in Heroes. I thought she was fucking amazing. Save the Cheerleader, Save the World.
Speaker: yep ye that was um Remember the Titans. She was the daughter in Remember the Titans. Oh, I didn't watch that. You don't remember the show? Remember the titan the movie? Remember the Titans? That's the football one.
Speaker: That's the football one with the ah the racism and. Oh, that's a awesome no, I thought that was great movie. right I thought that was the one with was it Julia Roberts or Sandra Bullock?
Speaker: You're thinking of the blind side. Yeah, I'm thinking of the blind side. That's like 18 years later. You're thinking of the wrong movie. Sorry, that was nine years later. nine years yeah heroes so Some thoughts on Heroes. Heroes, for me, what felt like the first...
Speaker: And I know I'm wrong here. It just felt like the first like grand show, like the first big show where they were taking some risks. don't know. It felt more like like, you know, shows today, everything's got kind of like a cinematic masterpiece with TV shows. I feel like Heroes was the first of that.
Speaker: Like, whoa, this is this is not this is a show. I thought it was a movie like the writing for the first two seasons. Phenomenal. i I couldn't wait for the episode to... know any Any younger listeners, this is when you know not everybody had TiVo. You kind of had to wait for that. And streaming services weren't available yet. You had to wait for the show to come out.
Speaker: um Yeah, that like I couldn't wait for the next episode to come out. like My roommates and I would all be sitting watching Heroes wait. Like, oh shit! Oh! Oh!
Speaker: Love that fucking show. I think this was the best turning... Third season. I think I stopped watching it um I swear this was like the big turning point where TV really started to make a mark because Lost also was out at that time, right? Yeah, I think it's like... So um there was ah ah also season two, if I'm not mistaken, was during a writer's strike as well.
Speaker: So I had heard that that took a bit of a hit. Same thing with Walking Dead also took a hit during their writer's strike. So the fact that they were able to come through was, you know, it's...
Speaker: surprising But also, this was the first time that I... i Obviously, not the first time ever because we have like graphic novels like Watchmen and stuff. But this was the first time i was introduced to this concept of, imagine superheroes, but like in real life. like How would people... like that was...
Speaker: That was kind of the the thing for me. I was like, oh, this is interesting. It was kind of like X-Men-ish, but it wasn't so much X-Men because people didn't know they had these superpowers. That was the little whole fun part of it. was like a realistic take on it. Yeah, exactly. And it was great. I fucking loved it. Like I said, i I watched the third season or half the third season and fell off of it, and I did not watch it after that. So I don't know how it ends exactly. Yeah, me either.
Speaker: But from another, they did an ah hero's origins. They announced a spinoff that would happen something like that. Did they ever do that? No, it ends up getting canceled. Yeah. Okay. ah Did they even film a season of that or just, something okay. So, and Hayden Pennett, do you remember the, the character's powers?
Speaker: Hayden Pennett's here. She had healing, right? She's, she was able to heal herself very easily. ah One scene that ah resonates with me was when she grabbed the pan out of the oven And her hand her hands start burning because it's a hot fucking pan. And then she puts it down and it just heals instantly.
Speaker: Could she heal other people? i don't remember. Okay, i don't remember either. I know she could heal herself. So, like, she could get her leg chopped off and it would heal. Yeah, like a kind of like a Wolverine-esque. Kind of. Yeah, a little bit. A regeneration type thing. I remember Milo Ventimiglia, the lead. His power was basically like rogue. He could take other people's powers.
Speaker: Okay. He could borrow their their power. Oh, yeah. And he just had to like touch them and he got their power. So his power was like pretty incredible. I know there was – I forgot his name, but it was like his brother or uncle or something in the show. He could fly.
Speaker: Okay, ah let's see. i pulled I pulled it up. Let's see. Milo, yes. He had the mimic abilities of other people. Hayden was who can spontaneously regenerate, is what they call him. Oh, okay, okay. Hiro Nakamura, played by Masi Aka.
Speaker: Oh, yeah. He can manipulate time and space. That's right. That's right. ah Let's see. the guy Then we had... Adrian adrian past ah Pastar, who played Nathan Petrelli, a congressional candidate, that's right, with the ability to fly.
Speaker: Right. Then we had L, which was who was the introduction, my first introduction to um ah what's her name that is the lead in Frozen? um And I can't remember any names.
Speaker: It's okay Kristen Bell. She was played Elle and she had lightning powers. Also, shout out to my buddy Ryan Weaver. Shout out to Ryan Weaver. He worked on Heroes and he perfected the lightning effects in Heroes. He was the lightning guy. Super talented VFX artist. I'll fucking say shit. um He also worked on when Hero would like freeze time.
Speaker: He worked on that, making that look super sexy. Yeah, he was. And I believe, if I'm not mistaken, he was so good at lightning that him, his lightning became like the standard in television when it came to lightning effects. So shout out to Ryan Weber. Yeah.
Speaker: And Greg Grunberg as Matt Parkman, an LAPD officer who can read people's minds. Those were kind of those were the main main peeps kind of thing. And um there was a there was a character who he was kind of just he didn't have any powers, but he was kind of like a scientist.
Speaker: He was a big character too, if I'm not, but I'm sure that might've been Samuel Sullivan portrayed by Robert Knepper was added. That might've been him. I don't remember exactly. Right. ah Yeah. I, let's see.
Speaker: Yeah. I don't remember. Like I said, I only watched the first like three seasons. Okay. And yeah, I thought they did do a heroes reborn in 2015. Okay. Which was a little different.
Speaker: Didn't watch that. I probably should binge watch it all again, just to, Yeah. Do it again. But yeah, I mean, yeah. And then she was great. So Dallas was it Dallas that she was on? Uh, Nashville, Nashville. I knew was a Texas place. Uh, yeah. Nashville's in Tennessee.
Speaker: Oh, sorry. What am I thinking of? I don't fucking know anymore. Oh my God. Just that anger for getting geography wrong. I went to school in Florida, Ron. Yeah. We went to the same school. I know.
Speaker: And then now look at us. now Now I'm talking about Nashville, Texas. It might be Nashville, Texas. I don't know, but that's not true. Yeah, you know what? That's actually what I was referring to.
Speaker: right, okay. there an a Nashville, Texas? Let's find out. Let's find out. Let's do research live on the air. Oh, Jesus Christ. I think there is a Nashville, Texas, and that's what I was referring to, Ron. Is there a Nashville, Texas? Is there really? There is. it's It's now a ghost town on the southeastern bank of Brazos River, which I knew about. I thought that's where the show took place, Ron. okay You assumed. You want to think you know everything?
Speaker: There's Spring Hill, Florida. Where is there another Spring Hill, Robert? I actually do know this. I know this. Isn't it like in like Montana or something? No.
Speaker: Oh, God. tennessee Oh, again. I'm going to check if there's a Spring Hill in Montana. It's also a Spring Hill, Kansas. Oh, there is a Spring Hill, Montana. That's what I thought you were referring to, Ron.
Speaker: It's not a Spring Hill, Montana. It's in Gallatin County, Montana. yeah You're lying son of a bitch. I'm not. You think I came up with Gallatin out of top of head? yes, I do. I think you're creative. There's also Spring Hill hotels. I thought those are everywhere.
Speaker: So i I didn't know what you were referring to, Ron. You really have to be more specific. So. Oh, yeah, there is a spring. but Just all this anger and you're like, oh, wow, actually there is. I've never actually stayed in a Spring Hill hotel. Spring Hill Suites? I've stayed in Spring Hill Suites before. They're not bad. I assume it's normal hotel. It's better than Spring Hill.
Speaker: Whoa. No, we don't we don't mean that, people. No. of my Because we want that news story of like, two locals start a podcast. You know, you know we we want that we want that article, Ron.
Speaker: ah Yeah. Yeah, we do. Yeah, I would love to be. I want to be in the Hernando Times, damn it. Yeah, I want to be in that that yellow newspaper. Hernando today. Hernando today with the- The Spring Hill, the yellow and black magazine thing that we always used to get. Yeah. It's like there's a girl or two girls. Yeah, at the Spring Hill fountain.
Speaker: Yeah, they're grandmas now or they're dead. One of the two. but That photo was taken to like 1918. So which i don't think I don't know the cameras were around then or were they?
Speaker: I did find myself down a rabbit hole of the first photograph ever taken. And then someone took a photo of that same location. Now, oh no I find that stuff fascinating. fascinating fascinating so spring hill yeah trying to find it sorry to everyone who's not from spring hill we've been talking about our town a lot but there is something that people tend to like that we all love people tend to like that we all love you heard me and that's um burgers right you like a good juicy one in your mouth right i really fucking do robert
Speaker: Yeah. good so What are, you know, my question is, Ron, what are the best ones? So according to MSN. And I'll try to guess. I don't know the answers. MSN, these are the top. According to MSN, these are the top 10 burgers.
Speaker: And these are chains. These are chains by chains, not like hamburger America or something like that. um These are chains. Number 10, Robert. Uh-huh.
Speaker: Originally from the great state of Florida. Ooh. Burger King. Oh, ah that makes sense. Burger King. I mean. I've tried to give Burger King a chance. I've said this on the podcast. Tried and true. um I've tried. I think their burgers are tasty, but just. I think their burgers are. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. Number nine. Worst chicken sandwiches ever. Agreed. 150%. Yeah. Number nine on the list, Robert. um
Speaker: I think this should be higher, but White Castle. Wow, really? i love White Castle. Love White Castle. I think Crystal is better. That is the southern version of White Castle. I think they're better. Mustard wins over ketchup.
Speaker: My honest opinion. But White Castle, is number nine. i yeah i so I'm not around White Castle, so when I see one, I'm like, I got to go. I got to Robert, this is in your neck of the woods. ooh like Okay.
Speaker: It's either going to be Carl's or Jack in the Box. Jack at the box. Jack in the B. Jay in the B. So every time I've had Jack in the box, which is only like once or twice, sucks.
Speaker: Really? Not good. I'll tell you what my opinion on Jack in the box. so You got to get the tacos. Like, no, they suck. No, no. I sometimes I couldn't tell you the difference between Jack in the box and Carl's Jr. A.K.A. Hardee's.
Speaker: I they're like one in the same to me. Like if you say if you told me like do you want to go to Carl's or Jack in the box, I'd be like, I don't know. Close your eyes and pick one. I'd rather go to Carl's Jr. Their jalapeno double cheeseburger. If they still make that's fucking delicious. They're the ones that have the Western bacon one, right? with Yeah. barbecue Okay, I do love their – because you have the fried ah onions with the barbecue sauce. That shit's bomb. I love that. Now, I think this one should be higher on the list as well. Can I just say about Jack in the Box? They have the Munchie Meals.
Speaker: which I believe it's them. Again, I couldn't mix it up with Carl's, but they have the munchie meals and munchie meals are meals that you get at a very certain time, typically when you're drunk or high and they give you a shit ton. It's like a whole box. You get like a burger. They mix the curly fries and regular fries together. You get tacos. You get all this bunch of shit for such a low price. So I will say Jack in a box, munchie meals. According to my co-pilot, my co-pilot,
Speaker: The Munchie Meal is a customizable late-night meal from Jack in the Box featuring an entree, two sides, and a drink available from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Love it. Celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2023 with a collaboration with Snoop Dogg.
Speaker: Okay, so with that said, when you're ordering that late at night, Ron, you're not going for quality. You're going for consumption. 100%. And that's great. So I will say I'll give some points to Jack in the Box for the Munchie Meal. Okay.
Speaker: All right. Fair. Number seven. Yeah. What's it? now you You and I definitely grew up with this one. Ooh. I'll give you a hint. You don't get to go inside this, and but it had to rallies, checkers, checkers and rallies. that's right I love it. I love the fries. I got the, they got the best fries, the greatest fries, great fries. Um, actually I really only remember the fries.
Speaker: Their Big Buford Burger is amazing. Their banana milkshakes were fucking phenomenal. I don't think I've ever had a dessert from checkers or rallies. did your Banana milkshakes were fucking great. um Yeah, I have a rallies. It's like by USC. It's kind of far, but there's like one near me, not even near me, like a drive away. Now, this one is controversial.
Speaker: Ooh, what would be a controversial one? I'm going to try to guess. Number six. Is it going to be In-N-Out? No. Okay. Okay. It's controversial because you either, I think they're very good, but some people hate them because they're so fucking expensive.
Speaker: Oh, I know what it is. Is it five guys? Five guys. That's right. Five guys is fucking awesome. But yes, you do need an Amex platinum card to order it though. You really do. The only reason they lose points with me is because they do not have a signature burger.
Speaker: And they're ridiculously expensive. yeah But they gain points because Cajun fries. And when you ask for a small, you get like three smalls. and Oh, I don't ever order a size higher than small. I don't care how hungry you are. You're getting a garbage bag full of fries. Unless you have like a family of seven, then maybe order large. But otherwise. Right. Well, that would be terrible, though.
Speaker: Number five, Robert, probably the most famous chain in the world. McDonald's. Mickey D's. I ate it last night, Ron. yeah i ate it last night. I have not had McDonald's in about a year, maybe more. Okay. And I was in, um, Canada when I had, Oh, Oh, uh, and,
Speaker: The Canadian beef is is better. I'm sorry. It tastes less processed. I've had McDonald's in Pisa, Italy, and it's tasted the same. It tastes the same. It just tastes better.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah. It just doesn't taste like I'm going to die. And their fries are gluten-free, I'm kidding. Yeah, I don't know why. i I do have a love for McDonald's. I just do. And that's fair.
Speaker: Yeah, I don't know why. i ah you know ah You know how many points I have on the apron? I got a free McChicken last night, and I could have gotten the whole meal free, but I'm trying to save them up for a good time. You know what mean? McDonald's is tried and true. um Listen, they're McGriddles for breakfast.
Speaker: My favorite thing. Oh, yeah. Okay. yeah i'm not a You know what? I'm not the biggest fan of their breakfast, I'll be honest. um But their hash browns are on point. Yeah, hash browns are on point.
Speaker: Now, this next one, Robert, if you were to say their three biggest chains, two of them we've already mentioned, what would this next one be? So I would say the biggest chains that we mentioned are McDonald's, Burger King, and...
Speaker: Would it be Jack in the Box? No. No. What was the... Oh, wait, wait. you' I have to guess the third. Sorry. Yes. um Wow. Good question. I know it's probably going to be super obvious. I would yeah guess either Carl's Hardys or...
Speaker: If I had to think of Oh, Wendy's. Wendy's. There you go. I think nationally. Wendy's my personal favorite. Number four, Wendy's. Okay. They are coming in at number four. i wendy Wendy's probably my favorite.
Speaker: Yeah, probably my favorite of the main the big fast food ones. I think I think they're always been superior. I'm always nervous. They're going out of business because they always come out with these like, oh, three dollar combos and you get five burgers. And I'm like, are you guys OK?
Speaker: Are you guys running out of money? I think Wendy's is superior, there you know. The Baconator. I mean, I don't do the Baconator, but like the Dave's Double, I think is the way to go. Yeah. Always with the Dave's Double. ah Chocolate Frosty. And put dip your fucking fries in the Frosty.
Speaker: Oh, and yeah. have a bunch of They have a bunch of Frosty flavors now. Yeah, and it bothers me. and Yeah, you want it to be simple. you went yeah Back in my day, we only had one flavor. Remember, they introduced vanilla when we were in high school.
Speaker: That's right. We used to have just chocolate. We all voted Republican. It was the good old days. You're not wrong about either.
Speaker: Those were the day. Number three, which I think this should be higher. Okay. it is i we i have talked about how much I love this place. I think they're one of the best burgers in the fast food world. Can I ask? Oh, no. Can i guess? Yeah.
Speaker: Whataburger? No. Oh. Their fries suck. In-N-Out. In-N-Out. Yeah. In-N-Out. That's why I have to get animal style for the fries because that's the only way I can eat them. yeah um They are OG fries.
Speaker: gluten-free gangsters. Okay. They've been doing the protein style with the lettuce wrap long for a long time. The flying Dutchman now with the onions. Oh yeah. Yeah.
Speaker: Oh, you know, shout out. And you don't lose any flavor when you get a lettuce wrap. It's still fucking delicious. The line is always in the street. Doesn't matter which one you're at. The line is always in the on street. You can be in Ontario, California or San Francisco, California. It's the same. Yeah.
Speaker: um You could be in Nashville, Nashville, Texas. And their menu is so simple and they're fucking affordable and they pay their employees well. Yeah. They pay their employees really well.
Speaker: We should like work there on the weekends. just And also, i don't know if you know this, but if you look at the bottom of like, they're like the animal style fries. If you look at underneath or look at us under the bag, bibles Bible, Bible, Bible. Yep.
Speaker: Bible. Yep. You see the word of God with a little bit of thousand Island dressing on it. But they don't close on Sundays because they're better than that. Anyway. true. Number two. Ooh, we're right, man.
Speaker: Number two. Now, Brad swears by this place. Okay. Brad loves this place. And I agree with him that it's good. I don't think it's better than In-N-Out, though. Culver's.
Speaker: Oh, people love Culver's. People rave about Culver's. I think Culver's is great. I've only had them once, and they were delicious. but They're taking over it at Spring Hill.
Speaker: yeah Oh, God, yeah. It's bunch now. But I think... um I don't know, Robert. I think... ah I think In-N-Out is better. I do. But Culver's, very good. Yeah. I mean, i know that they're known for their malts, too, right?
Speaker: Something. Or their cheese curds. Yeah. They came out of Wisconsin. Wisconsin. Number one, which I disagree with. I disagree with this. I would have to say. Originally started it originally started in New York.
Speaker: madison at Madison Square Park. I think it was Madison Square Park in New York. I would have to say Whataburger. No. Ooh. I'll try another guess.
Speaker: ah Originally started in New York. Wow. And and it it is one that I've heard of. It's not like... Oh, yeah. Okay. um The only thing left is like Carl's Party's. No, I need you to do more. They recently did... um Like a Korean-inspired menu.
Speaker: Oh, really? Mm-hmm. Wow. recently did a Korean-inspired menu. um they Their burgers are very good. Usually from Pat LaFrieda beef is what they use. They have a certain sauce.
Speaker: You can get a gluten-free bun there. They have crinkle fries. Wow. Usually made with a potato bun. Shake Shack. Oh, I would never have gotten it. Shake Shack. So I think Shake Shack is delicious. little pricey.
Speaker: yeah um Are they better than Five Guys? it's it's It depends on my mood, but they are very good. ah yeah i have one really close to me, and I was pretty disappointed because I remember just paying a lot, and I got like the tiniest little burger. So maybe it was just a bad Shake Shack I went to.
Speaker: Yeah, no, um you got to go with the double. um Here in New York, if you're going to go chains, and this is it's still a prior it's becoming more of a chain, I think 7th Street Burger is really good.
Speaker: okay I think it's called Moon Burger, originally from Miami. They're sp they're really good. But if you're in New York and you're going a burger, i'm so Hamburger America, that's that's where I would go. One location, George Mott's, I think they're fucking the most.
Speaker: Yeah, there's um there's a little little shack of a burger place been around for years. I think the owner has to be dead now, but it's called Bill's Burgers. and See, sure just the name alone tells me that it's probably fucking delicious. Yeah, and it kind of has an In-N-Out vibe for sure, like the flavor.
Speaker: And I remember going there, the order took forever because the owner was like 90 and he's still there flipping burgers ever so slowly. um So maybe if he's dead now, you might be able to get it a bit faster. But i it was really good. It was really good.
Speaker: So, and I think Bill Burr has talked about it on his podcast. It's in Sherman Oaks, California. Is it in Sherman Oaks? Okay. Yeah. There's also another burger place that's like, I think more, more near downtown that I've, oh I've always wanted to try. And again, I love this. I'm looking at pictures right now. I love the fucking sign. um yeah describe I will describe the sign to you. It is a rectangular black and white sign, the black lettering white background. It just says Bill's burgers.
Speaker: rat Right. Right. Yeah. Oh yeah. And then i have not been to this place, but again, don't, I'm not saying Bill Burr is like the goat of like burger references, but, There's a place called Hawking's burger in Watts. I have not been there at all, but he said it's his, it's the best burger he's ever had. Okay. And, I've been wanting to go to that.
Speaker: So there's one place in New Jersey. I'm trying to look it up now before I have my beverage. Um, It's also something, it's like Sal's burger or something like that. It's something so simple. Could be Charlie's burger. I don't know.
Speaker: Yeah. It's something so fucking just, it's, and but apparently it's amazing burgers. Okay. It's going to bother me. All right. All right. oh God. Oh, it's going fucking bother me.
Speaker: Oh yeah. I'm looking up pocket. I'm looking up hockey, hockey, Hawking's burger. Yeah. And or Hawkins House of Burgers. And yeah, it looks like a little dinky building. I mean, not I mean, it's yeah, it looks like a little dinky building. And so, you know, it's going to be good.
Speaker: You know, there is a sales. I mean, of course, it's New Jersey, but I forget the name of the place, but it's not far from the city. It's yeah. yeah But it's those little mom and pop shops that were started 30, 40 years ago. Those those are where you find the best burger.
Speaker: Yeah, absolutely. um Have you ever had Monty's Good Burger? Monty's Good Burger. No, what that sounds familiar. So it's it's it's a um New Jersey. Not in New Jersey. I'm sorry. It is a California chain. It is a vegan In-N-Out, essentially, is what it is.
Speaker: Oh, interesting. Yeah, it's basically that. I've never been there. I've wanted to try it before, but I've never been there. So, yeah. I don't know. Robert, you got to take me to get some good burgers when I'm out there.
Speaker: I know. Yeah, I'm trying to When I come out there, I'll come out there one day, i promise. One of these days. You'll see. i promise they'll come out there. white Man is supposed to be really good in New Jersey.
Speaker: Okay. Sorry. I'm trying to find. Oh, there it is. I'm trying to see how close. There's a studio I work at in downtown and I want to see how close it is to this burger joint. And like, maybe I can stop. ah it's like a half hour away. i don't want to do that.
Speaker: It's very far. It's a half hour. with talk It's a half hour of like downtown l LA. So kind of far. I don't want to do that. and i fly I can always fly into L.A. You could.
Speaker: Why don't you? go Wow, it's like far. Yeah, I don't want to do that. One of these days. And I run, run so far away. um Well, hey. I don't know you know. We're talking about eating a lot.
Speaker: Yeah. have you have you Have you drank anything recently? No, last episode I didn't have anything because I was i was working too much. But now I have something. I have something, Robert.
Speaker: I have something. you know what it is? Yes. It's a... All right, that's our show, guys. Thank you so much.
Speaker: Anyway, ah so today, on Roberto. Mm-hmm. I featured the cidery before from Beacon Skiff 19 Orchards 1911 established. We have the Rosé cider. Oh, Rosé. Also, I totally skipped penetrating questions. We'll do that next. Everyone. Sorry. Yeah, it's fine. Whatever.
Speaker: um Rosé cider. I figure we close out the. ah Close out the. Uh huh. You know, it's it's August. It's going be September sooner than we know it rose a Rosé time is dwindling on us. You know, the pumpkin apple season is upon us.
Speaker: But I figured I'd kick a rosé because I usually love rosé ciders. 6.7%. It's from New York. Look at that. It's hard to see. I like the like the glass. and Yeah, thank you. it's It looks like regular beer, but it is pink.
Speaker: But um it's because my room has a nice yellow hue. Uh-huh. But, um, Prost?
Speaker: And we're going to find out if it's Schmecht or Schlecht, everybody. If it's good to go or not. Oh, this is delicious, Robert. Delicious. you You definitely get, um, it's very, very strong apple forward.
Speaker: ah which I actually really like. Okay. Strong apple forward. It is refreshing. It is tasty. It's definitely great on a hot summer day. Okay. And it's schmecked good, baby. It's schmecked good.
Speaker: you're in I was in Trader Joe's and I picked it up. So if you're in Trader Joe's, pick it up. All right. All right. Well, cool. um That's... ah i Sorry, guys. We did... I didn't mean to skip it. I swear I didn't.
Speaker: But we got some penetrating questions today. We got a response from someone as well. and um And they did say we could read it on the air.
Speaker: So... Oh, and and I'm sorry. It's Steve's Hot Dogs and Burgers. I found it. It's Steve. Steve. Steve. Steve's. Apparently, they're really fucking good. so All right. Good glizzies. So yeah. um Let's do the penetrating questions, Robert.
Speaker: Woo!
Speaker: All right. so we got it we got a few to go through. We got three. Number one is from- Really? Yeah, we do. We have three. One of them I think we read last. No, I think it's a response.
Speaker: Let me see. Let me see. okay Only because it says you may read this on an episode, which is what we were talking about last time. were like oh i don't know If it's from Yerg's, we've already did that one Are you sure? Okay. Yeah. remember he Remember, we were like, oh, shit. We looked him up and we were like, maybe. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Okay. But still, have we have two, which is more than I thought we had. so That's pretty cool. So, well, you can read the first one. I'll do the second.
Speaker: I will do. This is from Tabby. Hmm. That's Dobby's cousin. Yeah. Have you heard about the squirrel diet? It's nuts.
Speaker: No, Dobby. No, Dobby. Yeah. no topic
Speaker: exactly Very funny. Thank you, Tommy. I have not. Please tell me more about it next time. Hey, there's protein in nuts. there um i do I do like nuts. i'm ah i but I do love pecans and walnuts. Cashews. Cashews are great. Yeah. Peanuts, which are technically a nut, are good. Brazil nuts are good. Almonds, hazelnuts.
Speaker: Pea. I said peanuts already. Oh, i like i like I like a good pee nut. know But no, just kidding. I love a good pun as well. That's silly. I love that stuff.
Speaker: Give me more of it, Tabi. um And ah question number two comes from Robert's Lover. You could have just wrote Ron Prenamano. Oh, no, you have to say it right. It's Robert's Lover. lover What's the most unhinged story or thing that has happened to you guys?
Speaker: Unhinged. Ooh, that's... I don't know. as that's I have to, like, go through the catalog of my life. I don't know. First... So, this story comes to mind. It's a weird one. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: It's kind of weird. It's not, like, crazy, but it's weird. Okay, I was at a bar in the city years and years ago. And some guy was being a dick.
Speaker: Mm. So I said something to him. And he took me by the shirt and started to pull me up like this. Oh, okay. I didn't start anything with him. He was yeah being a fucking asshole. So my buddy jumps in to protect me.
Speaker: Was he talking shit about Queens? is that what happened? No, no. i know we were in Manhattan. Okay. So my, my friends like, you know, breaks it. I was like, you know, motherfucker. I'll beat your ass kind of thing. Don't do that.
Speaker: The guy starts quoting the Bible. Mind you, the guy's like our age. And then he runs away screaming. Wow, really? Yeah, he just goes, ah! Like, down the street of, like, Dougal Street or something like that. Wow.
Speaker: So, is it unhinged? I mean, I don't have many stories that have gotten crazy shit that's happened to me i wish I did. i kind of bore in life. I don't. um One time I was doing stand-up, and um a guy was so drunk, he started heckling me at this bar, Nears Tavern, one of those famous bars in New York.
Speaker: And it's a good thing i didn't engage too much because when my buddy went to go take him away, my buddy used to be a bouncer and he patted the small of his back. The dude had a fucking gun.
Speaker: Wow. So, yeah, I could have been shot that night. Damn. So good thing I didn't like come at or something He was telling me need to respect this. He was a former Marine and he was telling me, i sorry, once a Marine, always Marine. He was a Marine.
Speaker: And he was telling me that I need to respect this girl who he was obviously into. She was in the army, but she was clearly gay and he just was too drunk to notice that. like She was there with her girlfriend. Yeah. yeah So that's that's like that's kind of it's that's kind of crazy to think that I was you know moments away from being shot. And if I shoot you, that's going to make her straight. that's that's how you That's how you do it.
Speaker: You're a straight shooter, Robert. Hey! There we go. That was good. That's a good pun. I'd say for me, don't know if unhinged is the right word, but I definitely... but If this is your lover, by the way, if this is your girlfriend, she is trying to find shit about you, proceed. Oh, yeah. No, I got in I remember I was hanging out ah after a shoot once ah where like the whole cast and crew went out for drinks afterward. And one of the actresses brought me to like it was like getting near 2 a.m. m But if you still wanted to hang out and she brought me to one of the underground like hidden places in l L.A. where like you drive out to middle of dystopian downtown L.A. where all the buildings are abandoned.
Speaker: And but there's one building that's hidden and not abandoned and secretly, you know, ah like a party house. And so I go up and they pat me down. Like there's like this guy standing in the dark, standing in the darkness. And he pats me down for any guns. And then we get in. And yeah, it's a hidden bar. It's like pool table. I'm like, I feel like this is where it's easy. 100% speakeasy. Yes, 100% speakeasy.
Speaker: i feel like I don't know. I feel like there had have been some like. Shady shit going on. And I was trying to talk with people. she went off and talked with a bunch of people. There are people coming out of the bathroom doing blow like it was just crazy. And I remember I was in the bathroom. It just sounds like, you know, Chuck E. Cheese in Los Angeles.
Speaker: Yay. And yep. Kids doing blow in the bathroom. And she, uh, I was in the bathroom and she came in the bathroom as well, which was really tiny. And she just starts, uh, Jackie.
Speaker: No, she just starts peeing. She's taking a piss and she's like talking with me and I'm trying to be like normal. I, cause I think this whole situation is weird and I'm fucking tired. So she's taking a piss like next to you. Yes. Yeah. I'm like standing there.
Speaker: but She's in the urinal. no no well No, she said there's only it's like a sink toilet bathroom, like tiny. Where was she peeing? On the floor? or No, in the toilet. She like pulled her pants down.
Speaker: See, I've been in a unisex bathroom before, like a co-ed bathroom, so that doesn't bother me. Well, no, I'm saying I never met this woman and I I had to be comfortable around someone else to just like start peeing next to them.
Speaker: And she even mentioned like, don't pretend like this is not weird, Ron. Don't be like, Oh, Hey, people piss next to me all the time. What is it? I'm sorry. I don't find this weird. I'm sorry. You don't find it weird that someone would walk into the bathroom that you're in and just start pissing in the toilet next to you.
Speaker: Not another stall, like someone that you don't really know. yeah That's it's not weird whatsoever. It's not even. It's a little odd, but given the and given the environment, I think I would be chill with it.
Speaker: I was, I wasn't freaking out, but she even said like, Hey, I, I, I noticed that you weren't like shocked and you, uh, you, you know, i i noticed you didn't make a big deal about it. So she even pointed it out, which tells me that she knew it was weird. Were you single at the time?
Speaker: Yes. Was she attractive? Uh, no. I'm just saying, you missed your opportunity there, buddy. No, i I wasn't into this. I didn't find her attractive. You're not Mrs. Wright. Mrs. Wright now. Okay, that's where I'm going. Okay. um I have one more story.
Speaker: So I don't know if you know this about me, but me and a bunch of people from high school, myself and four others, we took a road trip after high school. Is this going to be a I know what you did last summer kind situation? No, no, no. But we went up and down the East Coast from ah from New York, as north as but um from Florida as north as north as Boston.
Speaker: And... and um We were in a cabin in, I know ah Brad was obviously with me, and I know Brad is going to be like, what story is he going to tell?
Speaker: We were, here you go, buddy. We were in a store, we were in a cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, okay, not too far from Gatlin. Not too far from like ah Nashville. Exactly. Not too far from Spring Hill. Yeah. yeah and I decided to take a shower because was dirty.
Speaker: somebody thought it would be funny if they threw a firecracker in the bathroom with me. Oh, that is funny. Okay. So. Mind you, this is one of the lighter stories of the show.
Speaker: But, um, i in a fit of rage, took the shower curtain rod, removed the shower curtain, shut the water off, and ran out there buck-ass naked with the shower curtain rod.
Speaker: And I said, who the fuck did that? Now, mind you, the image of Ronald naked with a shower curtain, angry, is not only hilarious, but terrifying at the same time.
Speaker: And i proceeded to hit everybody with it, but I took it out because he was laughing the most. I took it out on poor Brad and I beat the shit out of him with a shower curtain. Oh, no.
Speaker: See, like, I don't know why you're freaking out, like throwing a fire. I mean, the environment you're in someone there was a firecracker. Like, who cares? I just wouldn't care. what happens when you live in a city. but See what happens when you live in a city without culture. Yeah, it's just don't know. It just seems like normal to me.
Speaker: yeah You know what? You know what? in In Burbank, it may be. Why don't you go stand by the Batmans? Maybe I will. And we should do it we should do an episode where I just get drunk the entire time and see what happens. o that would be great.
Speaker: I would love that. Would you? I don't think you would. No, I think I would hate it. But it's all good. It's all good. ah But, hey, that's a good story, though. yeah i was surprised that we had. That's a little unhinged. Basically, I believe it was Hank who threw the firecracker in there. hank Hank Belcher, I think, did it. Yeah, I'm using your full fucking name, buddy.
Speaker: Yeah. um Yeah, I think it was him that did it. Yeah, but shout out to Brad, Manny, Hank, and Kyle, RTO5, baby, you know. Yeah. And also that time we ran over that old man.
