An unplanned conversation goes through the back door.

Transcript

Speaker: How's it going? Good man, thanks for getting coffee with me. For sure bro. Oh hey, listen to this shit. I was talking to my friend Matthew and he told me about an incident where he was working out at the gym with one of those big exercise balls. You know those big rubber balls you can sit on and do sit-ups? Yeah, of course. So he was doing sit-ups on this big red exercise ball at the gym.

Speaker: He was really pushing it, trying to do like 250 reps per set or something. So I guess he was getting close to finishing his second set when all of a sudden diarrhea shoots from his ass and leaks out of his fucking shorts. It got all over the exercise ball, didn't it? Exactly. And he was so discombobulated and embarrassed that he decides to leave the diarrhea on the exercise ball and sneak out of the gym. Oh my God.

Speaker: Bro, some unsuspecting person had to encounter that nasty. Hopefully they didn't do back raises or something and get diarrhea on their chest and stomach. So gross, dude. Yeah, nasty as hell. Probably traumatized somebody so bad that the gym will check the cameras to see who did it.

Speaker: That would be funny if he gets banned from the gym over it. I know, bro. They're like all corporate about it. Matthew, we can no longer support your membership here. Our organization is strongly against leaving poop on exercise equipment. Oh my god, so funny.

Speaker: I like the angle. I look like a piece of shit right here. It's fitting. Thanks for ah putting the effort in to make another great podcast, recording out of the rec center, screaming in the background.

Speaker: Appreciate it. this ah This is a club, dude. that This ain't no rec center, boy. No one gets in here unless you're you're privileged or your parents own like a coffee plantation, 1865, your great-grandparents, or you're a white American.

Speaker: That's how you get into this club. Costa Rica's version of a club is like fucking south side of Chicago, YMCA. It's true, actually. No, this place is pretty nice. Like, you would like it if you walked in here because it's like palm trees, indoor, outdoor. But the facilities at of general rec center in the U.S. are like 100 times better.

Speaker: It's like racquetball with no back wall. So you just, the ball flies out. It's on grass, like gravel and grass. I'm paying 6,000 a month.

Speaker: They couldn't afford the back wall, the glass part. If you walked in there, you you'd you'd dig it or you'd hate it I don't know. You might have your acc cruise experience where you'd be like, I want to hate this.

Speaker: But the the great thing about why it's so guilt free here is that if you compare this to this, this level in the U.S., then that place is like you've talked about eight billion dollars and just the nicest place you've ever been like overkill on all luxury.

Speaker: So it feels like I'm just I'm OK here. I'm not overdoing it. Yeah. it It begs the question, though, of whether we're still trying to entertain, because some of the ah locations you've recorded from recently really make a case for you don't give a fuck.

Speaker: Can you explain that to the listener? i think I think they I've i've talked to the listeners. And I think they like it. Okay. I've talked to Doug.

Speaker: i went to i had i had a barbecue dinner with Doug couple days ago. You know, he's he likes it. Our friend Kim, who moved to China, I don't know if she's still alive, actually. i hope she is, but I haven't heard from her.

Speaker: I think we got her, like, thrown into a prison camp or something for listening to POS. So she might be doing hard labor right now. And then I tried to get Marty of the barbecue dinner and he was he was in Iowa harvesting.

Speaker: Apparently his family has a some sort of little orchard, like a garden and every year they have a salsa harvest. They go pick all the vegetables and they make salsa. So he couldn't come to eat barbecue Doug and I. And that's it for my listeners, bro.

Speaker: Salsa in Iowa. I've never heard of that. I think it's great. Yeah, I think it's great. What are you weighing these days, dog? It's a bad angle, dude. It's a bad angle. How's St. Louis? Is it ah lifting your spirits or just increasing your weight? i gotta You got to be careful there there. Is this better? i look skinnier now? I'm joking. I'm just making ah'm making a joke, fella. I'm just curious. I don't know if I'm putting weight there here.

Speaker: No. 210? 199. 210. 200. to ten one ninety nine holy too ta too hoi ah i'm I'm fucking around. I know the Connie's can get big though.

Speaker: I see, you know, linemen. Fucking linemen. 200's a nice, that's a motivator, I feel like. I mean, the number doesn't mean anything, but like, depending on how tall you are, if you get there's certain numbers where you're like, yeah, i need to fucking, I need do something about this.

Speaker: But what's weird is like, I'm not in, I know when I'm in really bad shape, and I'm not. It's like i'm not losing weight, but i'm I'm pretty active, which is kind of weird. Yeah. I don't know why You're fine, dude.

Speaker: But I put on a fiver. It's not like I'm putting on, yeah, on your trip. I put on a fiver on the trip for sure. Yeah. And I mean, I mostly look like the body of David.

Speaker: So it was kind of hard to see the love handles come back. Dude, my ah one of my... Fucking dick. you haven't You haven't had to deal with this, but one of one of my comedian friends, Jeremy Essick, had a great joke about... ah As a matter of fact, I re reconnected with Jeremy and he mentioned that he listens to podcasts sometimes. Jeremy, if that was true, I love you for it, man.

Speaker: We love you for listening. ah You can check. I think he splits time between Brooklyn and Raleigh. Do you get IP addresses like where you kind of you can pick it up? I haven't checked in months.

Speaker: We don't need to check. But Jeremy had a great joke because he he he was working like full time as a comic and and he was trying to have a relationship around that and I don't think it worked.

Speaker: But he had a great joke about how you when you go through a breakup, your body immediately just starts shedding weight as if to say like someone else is going to have to see you naked. And that totally happened for me. Like, it was the closest I've ever had abs in my life was probably like October, 2023. Like I was jacked. I was also working out a lot.

Speaker: I had free time, but, but now yeah it all came back and like roaring back. it It is interesting. It's, you know, it's, there's a lot of weight. You can shit it out.

Speaker: So you probably started off just taking mad shits and then no working out. Yeah. not going to admit that. Oh, okay.

Speaker: I was working out, but it was weird. like i'm I guess i but I shouldn't say I've been working out a lot, but I've been pretty active, like but um but i won't I don't lose weight. It's just there. Sorry to interrupt, but somebody told me there's like 10 pounds of poo in your intestines. I don't believe that.

Speaker: I know you don't like to talk about that stuff, but. Why don't you believe it? It just doesn't feel possible, in my stomach at least. What I eat today like will rage through my system like immediately.

Speaker: There's no way it's sitting behind on the back of the bus, bro. ah just i don't know i I don't get how it works. Well, I mean, maybe you're both right. Maybe he's saying that's the average person, and then you're eating healthy, so you feel like you're cleansing out your digestive system.

Speaker: I don't know. Yeah, maybe. Maybe it was backed up on the cruise, just like big time. Like, yeah, I don't know. all your pipes All your pipes got cleaned out on the cruise, apparently, huh? Yeah, boy.

Speaker: the the yeah I mean, if you think of anything that's like... ah tube, like anything that gets old that that's like used to transport anything has built up in it. So i don't know why your're intestines, your digestive system over the course of a lifetime would be any different.

Speaker: Okay, that's wise. i don't know why we're talking about this but i had I had a friend tell me like his buddy was, he's the kind of person that only took a crap once a week or something. And ah he took such a big crap that they like broke the hotel toilet and they had to like use a tennis ball can to get it deterred out. It was so big.

Speaker: That's disgusting. But I just, it just came to me and I figured it was podcast worthy. Yeah, that's good. Do you have any other stories? Can you do that the whole episode? well i've said that I've said it before that well a good bit would be, because I did have a friend who would talk about how big his shits were.

Speaker: I have a friend, and you can kind of sort of do this cringe type of bit where it's like, bro, I don't care how big your shit was, dude. Dude, don't quote me on this, but I think way back long time ago when I was open micing in Denver, I think you and your your wife came to a show. i don't know where it was, maybe in Golden Sunbar.

Speaker: And it was a contest. I think my friend Eli was in it. And I think I either bet you or him that I could sell a joke that was it was like exactly what we're talking about that had like no point. and it i knew I don't know if you remember that. I hope you don't remember this. It would be ridiculous if you did.

Speaker: But it would it would the joke was around the the pipes, like the waste pipes in a hotel and what they've been through. And somebody, someone talking me about the way you are and me just being like, why are we talking about this?

Speaker: I should bring it back, huh? Well, there's some joy in in having to picture those sorts of things. I had this thing that I would tease people with. All the drummers that I ever played with, I'd always say this. It's so fucking absurd.

Speaker: You should get a diarrhea tube coming out of your seat, and then we can put some lights on it and show the diarrhea coming. It's so fucking stupid. why Why does it have to be diarrhea, dude?

Speaker: Why can't it just be a waste tube or something? or It just was... It was just something that I ah it brought. It brings back such fond memories because it's not funny, but I tortured them with it.

Speaker: And I'd be like, when you get in the diarrhea tube, bro, we can make it red. We can fuck put some lights on that shit. You can take shits during the show. It'd be great. I'm not sure why that was ah enjoyable to me at this point at age 50. You're pretty. Are you pretty? This is a week. This could become the topic of the show.

Speaker: are you Are you pretty much comfortable talking about that type of digestion and shit and farts? Are you comfortable with that? Because I am not. We've talked about it a little bit before. I'm comfortable joking about it, but if we're getting into a real conversation, tell that kid to shut the fuck up, by the way. If we're getting into real conversation, I don't want to get into all that.

Speaker: I might be the other way. like there There is a couple comics that are that i work that I worked with or that I saw this last week that have jokes related to that stuff and i it like makes me uncomfortable.

Speaker: Uncomfortable how? Well, just like, I don't know. If you listen to something that's like awkward and it makes you ah it makes you just feel like, I don't know. I mean, I'm not saying I'm freaking out. It's hard for me to it's hard for me to fine laugh, I don't know.

Speaker: It's hard to be, but they're they're like good jokes. they're well They're well written jokes, but it's like something that I have a hard time with. I think you're traumatized because i mean, it is a fact of life. i mean, there's so many sort of disgusting events and situations related to this. just Just think of when you were working and the work stalls and if you did have to to go number two, it's a real battle.

Speaker: And then if somebody's in there next to you, you know, it's just not something you want to experience. Hearing them ah explode and do all this nasty stuff and then the smell, it's just fucked up.

Speaker: It's one of those things that It's unavoidable, which is why I do the outhouse bit. And I still love it's like so fucking traumatizing to go to an outdoor porta potty, open it up.

Speaker: And especially if it's there's a running event or it's some sort of thing, a concert, and you're just like, holy fucking shit. There's no unavoidable way to escape what is in there.

Speaker: And I think it's funny in that sense. you're you're completely comfortable with it. I just think it's weird when people are overly comfortable with it. Like, I don't know why. and And even more crazy to me when it's like women, which sounds ridiculous, but I don't, like a woman who's completely comfortable talking about their digestive movements, out I'm like, what's going on?

Speaker: that was That was kind of a turnoff for me and when I was younger, before I was married, of like, if a girl was like, I need to take a fucking shit. um That was too much for me.

Speaker: i don't I just don't remember that happening. I've heard that. I got like real sick like a couple, ah I don't know, maybe a few months ago. i was we we all my my My daughter's friends, they all wanted go to this ramen place. and We went there, and I think the food was, there's something wrong with it.

Speaker: and Then the next day, I was going surfing, and the whole way, i was like, I'm going to die. like and and like It's kind of like a remote road. There's no place to stop. yeah Long story short, dude, I had to stop and and just in the forest.

Speaker: relieve my, but it was it was like this horrible stomach pain. like I was like, there might be something really wrong. but But then I was fine. But on the way back, I was like, I need to go to the pharmacy. So I went to the pharmacy.

Speaker: I was kind of telling the people what's going on. And this lady was like, had a fucking loudspeaker. It was just like, so! just And there's like the place was really crowded.

Speaker: And I'm just like, god damn. She just like won't shut up. like She said diarrhea like 15 times like screaming it. And I'm just like, just give me some medicine. Shut the fuck up, please. But it was like, how is she so... I mean, she's she's a pharmacist.

Speaker: And pharmacists can, like, make moves here. Like, they can just be like, all right, this is what you need. But... It's just a fact of life. Like, I don't think most... Most people probably aren't comfortable... Are not as uncomfortable. That's not enough for me, dude.

Speaker: There's a lot of facts of life that... Oh, yeah, cube people have been going to the bathroom since beginning of time. But I still don't care. It's also like a weird, ah like, ah why were we made this way?

Speaker: It's very strange. Yeah, yeah. There's so much time and energy in getting the waste out. it's It's like the great, I mean, people talk about it. They're really into it. are doctors talk It's like the great a great source of information on how your body's working.

Speaker: Like they'll they'll do feces tests for you, like it depending on what's going on. and But it's a bit of a brag now to a lot of folks. I've here. I hear them go. yeah I have really good digestion. I do my poo right in the morning after one cup of coffee.

Speaker: It's like, OK, they're regular. Good for you. Yeah. Yeah. They'll just say that I'm regular. It's like, yay. Good for you, fella. I'm not there yet. And I don't think I'll ever be.

Speaker: I mean, I'm not that comfortable talking about sex publicly. I'm not that comfortable talking about my digestive system. wonder what else you you don't you like near everything's on the table with you. have Open book.

Speaker: Nothing bothers you. No, it's it's surprising to be a comedian to have not explored those simple trite types of jokes and to be comfortable with those things. Like how about boogers? Could you go do a booger joke or is that too much for you?

Speaker: Too traumatizing?

Speaker: I don't know like if it's like a joke about eating boogers something. I mean, dude, all last week, you'll love this, dude. like Some of the younger comics are or are making fun of me because they're like, you talk it you talk you use the word trim and nobody knows what you're talking about.

Speaker: So I made it part of my act where I asked the crowd if they know what trim means and um inevitably someone yells out stupid shit and it's like a circus. It's great. ah right ah That's the opener. i yeah i It is the opener. Yeah.

Speaker: And then I so now I'm talking about the joke that i told you about, about never tell a comic like I thought you were funny. So now I'm being like, don't say that after an orgy. Right. So now I'm saying like, I need to I tell the crowd I can't finish that joke because I don't know I don't know any good names of sex moves.

Speaker: And then I get the crowd, i'd be like, you guys know the names of any sex moves. So people are yelling like, just random, Cleveland Steamer and and all this shit. So I'm completely comfortable in that, talking about that.

Speaker: But it's like I'm detached from it, maybe. so Yeah, that's how I am when I talk about stuff. Who's that chick behind us? don't know, but do I look skinnier now?

Speaker: You're mean. You're comfortable trashing some a real human being right behind you. but Oh, another one. Yeah. dan Here we go. Great pod, dude. um Yeah. Well, it's weird to me that you're not comfortable with those topics.

Speaker: I don't know if I'm... I don't know how to say it. Like I'm not gonna freak out, I just, I'm not, I don't feel like, i don't feel like talking. Like even that story, I probably could tell that story about having to pull over in the jungle because I was literally like dying, but I could probably tell that at a, let's say a couple's party, dinner party or something, not feel that bad about it, but ah I don't know. It's just weird. It just seems like stuff that I'm like, yeah, let's that's better saved for yourself.

Speaker: Well, there's a valid argument that it's not funny. That's for sure. I mean, it isn't too funny. I think it's probably been played out. But like some of that stuff, just like. It's circumstantial. Yeah. And grossness in of itself, I don't particularly find funny.

Speaker: I don't know if that's a word, grossness, but gross stuff is not particularly funny, especially especially when women do it now, obviously a double standard, but when they're talking about their their vagina and just going on and on about it. It's pretty normal now, dude. like I think like women comics, women talking about that kind of stuff more.

Speaker: But when you hit me with like queefing and squirting and things like that, that's just i just sort of get lost. I'm back in, I'm back in. That's when you come back. Who's talking?

Speaker: That's a word I haven't heard in a while. Just watch a Netflix special with some of these gals. They go hardcore. And the cum stuff, like we've I've complained about before. it's yeah I reconnected with one of those comedians last night. I'm not going to get into who or what, but like yeah but some people are good at it.

Speaker: They're famous for it. being like open open more like a guy would talk about sex or any any sort of bodily issue some people are have made their career on it yeah i agree i just don't i think there's very few people that can do it and sustain it it's just weird i don't know there's a limit where i'm like man this person is really comfortable like it might be like someone's grandma you know or something that's like He was just like, yeah, I really had been backed up for weeks. Was it comfortable talking about that at fucking Thanksgiving or something? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker: Maybe I can make a whole comic career out of just just poop. I feel like I'm going to get served just by even mentioning that it makes me uncomfortable. Yeah. It's going to make a 10-week run of little shorts. Yeah.

Speaker: which can be related to this. Oh yeah, I've got to get back into the AI thing, so maybe we'll do something. You haven't been releasing anything lately, have you? No, because the travel and stuff, and I need to get back into it.

Speaker: Yeah, you do. Listeners want it, bro. First thing is going to be giant shits from Matt's ass. Yeah, I know, but I was saying i would be great to be a comic just specializing in dumps.

Speaker: So like Jim Gaffigan talks a lot about food and stuff like that, but just just the dumps. You're going to run that for like a 45-minute set? Exactly.

Speaker: You think it'd work? Probably not. Well, yeah i just I just watched the guy... whatever, Tuesday night, who, um like, he, I missed the beginning of his set. This guy, he was really funny. Some dude from LA.

Speaker: he He planted the seed about watching the show Bar Rescue. And then the rest of the set, every every minute, he would he would be like, that reminds me of this episode of Bar Rescue and get a big laugh because it was like, obviously, it was like beating a dead horse.

Speaker: So you could do it that way. Beating a dead horse comedy is right up my alley. That is my comedy. Beating a dead horse, like the diarrhea tube that makes no sense, but just grinding somebody down with it.

Speaker: That's my kind of comedy. I remember. I remember. That's a callback or is that just really truly just... It could be a hook. It could be a callback. Okay. I don't think I have any hooks. You don't have... Yeah. You don't see those anymore. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: Dude, one of my favorite comics was a Denver comic. This guy, Roger Rittenhouse. and his hook, it was he had a hook, actually. he had he has He's still alive. He has one hand, so he actually has a hook.

Speaker: i don't if you ever saw this guy, but he's really funny. But ah his hook would be like... he'd say some sort of racist or disgusting joke or like a stereotype.

Speaker: And then his hook would be like, oh, by the way, if you're Mexican, God love you. Thanks for coming out tonight. And then he'd say, like, follow it up with something like, going to some tacos in here for you. But like, in it something more creative than that.

Speaker: He'd do it all night. So there like not one victim. But he had so much like really funny shit, you know, in there that he that people were like, by the way, if you're gay, and that that was a hook Yeah, that's cool. But do you like that insult comedy?

Speaker: I mean, you like it more than dump comedy or poop comedy. I don't know. I wouldn't i don't like call insult comedy it was like the guy he was like a super clever writer and because his like his hook he come on he had to address the fact that he had one arm so he come out and do like five minutes about Just kind of funny shit about his arm like sick of going tired of Halloween I'm sick and having to go as a pirate every year fuck I can't remember like he had some really funny shit about how he Cut his arm off.

Speaker: Yeah, I don't know about in insult. Like what what do you what do you consider insult comedy like going after a group of people? It's ah yeah focusing on identity So the Dave Chappelle's bit on trans I would consider that a little bit insult Because he knows it's not gonna be received well and he kept going and going going and going on it But like any kind of race stuff where you're you're bringing it in just for the shock value of it I don't normally laugh a lot at that stuff. I just think it's boring and It's all relative, dude. Like, and I mean, it's got to be like it could be it could be social commentary.

Speaker: Yeah, that's not correctly. And that's good. Yeah. And weave it in my my two like probably my two favorite bits of all time are one by Richard Pryor talking about when he worked a mafia nightclub.

Speaker: He does a whole lot of stereotypical like East Coast Italian voices and shit. But it's it's super funny. I think it really happened. Mafia used to run like little nightclubs and shit on the East Coast. And then the other one is like Chris Rocks. I think it's on Bring the Pain. That one's huge.

Speaker: He's comparing blacks to a word i can't I'm not going to say. But like he's saying there's basically two types of people in their race. And that is like stereotyping, but also calling out truths in their in their culture.

Speaker: And that's social commentary. Yeah, that's different. if you If you did it, it might be insult comedy. but That's different. I was looking up the different types of comedy, like absurdism.

Speaker: And what's that? Just like shock value type stuff? Yeah. It's probably more in the realm of like Andy Kaufman just doing completely nonsensical shit. And sort of it's like, he's like anti-comedy where it's like, he's not even trying to be funny or write a joke. He's just torturing the audience with something.

Speaker: And that ends up being funny. It's like not for the moment. It's for like later on when someone goes, oh, he was just fucking with us something. Yeah. I'm not sure I would classify him as a genius like everybody does, but it's it's certainly interesting.

Speaker: Have you ever watched Steve Martin stand up when he was, when he was getting famous? Cause that was kind of crazy too. Like he he wanted to be like, everything was pretty serious with, with counterculture movement and all that shit in the late sixties, early seventies. And he just wanted to be like just everything goofy and silly.

Speaker: And that's like pretty, pretty crazy actually too. um That might be absurd comedy. Uh, maybe more slapstick and like, um, uh, satirical.

Speaker: Yeah, and I don't know. yeah don i mean, I'm just thinking about what I see now. Like, what about the girl we saw that we both kind of like, oh, she might pull it together. Like, you consider her absurdist? It was too, like, it's something weird. Like, the absurdity's got to feel, like, authentic. It shouldn't feel like someone's just trying to be absurd little bit, right?

Speaker: Well, absurdity is it's so far beyond normal that you could put that girl in there, don't you think? Yeah. and Maybe a couple things she did. No, she wasn't normal, but yeah.

Speaker: I don't know. ah All right, I got like five more minutes, so let's fucking can pick it up. Tell me about your last shit. talk No, it was like a month ago, so.

Speaker: oh That guy behind you looks like he takes big shits. or yeah Why do you have to leave the show? I just have a daughter coming over for dinner. I mean, I think that's great. That's beautiful.

Speaker: Happy for you. I was hoping you were going open micing or something like that You got a gig? Nah, I could. There's one tonight in Evergreen. Were at that at that place you guys used to play at?

Speaker: No, not there. Jake's family loved going up there. good Little Bear. Little Bear. Is that still around? I think so. So you've been going to these things or what? No, I've been out of town.

Speaker: So chill, bro. And then I've been sick. I know you've been time. saying, have you been going any these open mics? No, I haven't recently. no but I will. I promise, Matt. I promise.

Speaker: Do it soon, dude. i just, I want to close. it's We're trying to avoid our, I'm trying to avoid my fear, but just I kind of had kind of gotten over the AI thing a little bit. Oh, right. like whatever. And then I ah turn on TV. It's and it's like CNN International.

Speaker: So it's leftist communist bullshit. But there's like a, ah yeah was it a Gentic or a, whatever that anthropic anthropic. Yeah. Anthropic engineer quit because it's eaten. And then he's, he's like going on podcasts and like saying, we're, we're developing something that could annihilate us in the next two or three years. And we're getting pretty close.

Speaker: it It's, it will have the ability to make like bio, whatever you call it, like bio weapons. And it's like, ah, it's a good headline. So I'd rather talk about comedy in a, in a, in a bad environment for podcasting than think about that.

Speaker: Yeah, it it's ah it's one of those things that it gets more ominous and then it it gets so exhausting that you just say, eh, whatever. It's like the perfect storm though because you can't feel it yet at all. So it's like nothing in your life is even, you're not like, oh, I see it. And would would you finally agree with me that our our leadership is fucking bananas?

Speaker: can you Can you admit that now? No, dude.

Speaker: Like in the world are you talking specifically in the US or what? In the US, It's absolutely bananas. They're not going to do anything to help with AI safety is what I'm saying. Well, they're like build more data centers, right?

Speaker: Yeah, which you like because it's from Trump. No. I mean, also, I don't i don't like water. i don't like drinking water, clean water. it's like, fuck it.

Speaker: it Take dig more water to make your data centers. Yeah. A kid just fell down here. Oh great. ah I don't... I mean I almost get the idea though like it's not even... Like it's gonna overpower good or bad governments. You know?

Speaker: Because somebody, somebody if it wasn't Trump, let's say something we liked or you liked, they would have to be... the The only thing to do right now is be like everyone just fucking can stop. No, you could slow it down and you could kind of start to put some some ethical and philosophical guardrails on these things.

Speaker: mean, you'd still have things go fall apart, but you'd mandate it. i thought i heard ah I thought I heard a thing that someone is trying to get some law, like but you know like legal consequences for these people in case something bad happens.

Speaker: That's probably um Senator Warren, and she is gonna send their stock prices down, which is gonna be disappointing. Yeah. Do you think the other thing about this thing today, not to get on another tangent here, but like they were also saying it basically people are like realizing that there's these like, I don't know what there's a word for it. I don't know there's tech demons or tech something.

Speaker: And it's like these five, five people that are controlling these companies, people are really starting to resent Elon Musk, Sam Altman, a of the other ones. And so people are People are now going, oh, it's these crazy idiots that are going to be ruling the world. Now, that's what that's the real reason everyone's getting worried that they're in control of this stuff. You think that's valid? It's a valid fear, for sure, because, you know, these are outspoken weirdos, many of them.

Speaker: And ah you you wouldn't want their, some of them are a little antisocial, and I don't know that I'd want them ruling the world. Yeah, but I saw like i saw in the in that documentary that i I've gotten everyone close to me to watch, even my parents. My mom was like, I'm not fucking watching. They watched half of it. She's like, I'm not going to be able to sleep tonight.

Speaker: I'm not watching this anymore. Whatever happens, happens. But you know in that in that documentary, Sam Allman was in there. Dario was in there. I don't think they got. There was a guy from Google who I think has since been fired or moved around.

Speaker: And I didn't really have a problem with any of them in those interviews. So I don't, like Sam Altman gets a lot of shit, but some of that's like created by Elon Musk. It almost seems more competitive than like questioning the guy.

Speaker: But I don't know if you've had more experience where you're like, no, that guy don't want him but behind the wheel. Well, he said some weird stuff and he's very hypocritical in terms of how his perspective has morphed over over his career here with this AI stuff. But why do we, my fucking perspective on life has evolved too. It's like, I don't, I mean, i guess what I'm saying is it seems like we hold these people and politicians ah to a little different standard than ourselves. You know, like if if one of these guys had a DUI in 1999, like me, a lot of people would like, oh, this fucking guy has got a DUI. know what I mean?

Speaker: It's a bad example. There's a little bit of like, these guys have to be different than than us. Well, you're maybe you're not high ethics like I am, but the dude came out early on and said that ah google's deepmin deepmind Google's deep mind was at risk of doing crazy shit with AI and killing everybody and stuff like that. and then he So he started OpenAI i with Elon Musk to try to do it right and in a safe manner. And then it went then he took it all for profit and now it's just as aggressive. as fast as you can go, right? Yeah. Yeah, so I mean there's that, but then there's also a lot of other weird things that he said over over time.

Speaker: And his personality to me is sort of, it's kind of like much closer to Mark Zuckerberg. Yeah, just like what's going on behind the eyes there, Sam? Yeah, so is that just the like, I don't like the guy's personality. I can't guarantee you that nothing will happen. And you're like, yeah you look like AI. Yeah, it doesn't matter. I mean, that Dario guy is a very likable person. But at the end of the day, nobody wants power like this concentrated in the hands of one one person or one company. I mean, it's scary. It's just a scary thought. And I think people are starting to flip out. And it's probably a good thing that they're flipping out.

Speaker: But that's my point. Like you watch Dario speak and you're like, oh, he seems like a fun, silly guy. But Anthropic might be making the most intense shit. You know, it's just like the personality these guys.

Speaker: It's not going to save us. I don't want to talk about AI anymore, dude, because I came here to talk about shits. I got you going, though. I came here talking about dumps and shits and pisses and diarrhea and my diarrhea tube.

Speaker: So let's end this, dude. I'm comfortable talking about pisses all day in front of anyone. it's I would do it in a best man wedding speech, but when you start talking about the back door, dude.

Speaker: Not for you.

Speaker: Have you heard of that new board game called Piss? Seriously? Piss? You have to be kidding. No, really. It's an adventure game about drinking insane amounts of water.

Speaker: Seriously? Seriously. How do you win? You win if you can hold in your piss the longest. I guess that sounds fun.

Speaker: Wow.
