Speaker: Yo, man. What's dog? I'm just living. Are we, you think I look fat? Dude, my, I look, I got fatter and my dogs, like, I think there's something there. My dogs just decide to get fatter too.

Speaker: Nobody knows why. i don't think you look different, but you, your hair on the side, you usually keep that tighter. yeah you think if someone saw me who who we graduated with would think what what do you think they'd think of us dude would they even recognize us or would they be like oh yeah you you age well would they be like wait who is that oh yeah they'd recognize you for sure but they'd be like what what happened to me because i got skinny and i'm bald i paid lance to say that they're like oh thank god that guy finally fell down

Speaker: It's funny that i don't i I don't know. I guess I see you every week. We have our own private high school reunion once a week, and I don't see it's like i don't even i don't see you different. It's clearly you. No, I know. Yeah.

Speaker: We wouldn't be put in the category of like, holy shit, what the fuck happened? Right. Yeah. But I also think you, like you, maybe I already saw you as you started to get skinnier because I mean, obviously when we were trying to gain weight for football, it was ridiculous, but I don't think you were carrying around 220 much into your early late teens or early twenties.

Speaker: So maybe I saw you already, maybe not as skinny as you are now, but you already like losing weight. When you, when you start playing hoops a lot and shit. Yeah. was about one. That's just hanging around 190 and stuff.

Speaker: right around there through college 195. yeah and now you're what are you 140. i think i'm 180. yeah i need to get back down to 180. i started working out hard this week i can barely walk i mean i say hard but i what i mean is i just started working out like a middle-aged man after maybe six weeks of nothing six weeks of nothing at 50 years old means you automatically put on like 15 pounds which I did.

Speaker: And now, and now like getting back into it, it's like, I, it's like I fucking did Walter Payton's workout. That would take him four days to recover. But all I did was like walk jog for 45 minutes and did three sets of squats at one 35. And I'm literally like, okay, the cancer is spread all over my body. I can't move. The, ah the calves are, are blazing. They're just burning, but it's so crazy. Muscles that I'm like, what the fuck? That, where'd that come from? But, uh,

Speaker: Yeah. So anyways, it's it it's weird. It's weird that the dogs got fat with me. Yeah. Aren't you gone more and then you're not, you're you're busy, so you're not walking them as much? Oh, okay. So there's a logical, there's a logical explanation.

Speaker: Yeah. Well, there the the logical thing is a guy who watches my dogs feeds the fuck out of them because he also helps with my family's dogs, ah my kids and their mom, and and they get fat when he gets a lot of access. Plus, I also leave treats for them.

Speaker: But, like, so, yeah, it's the same. it's you did you I don't know if you ever did this with your dog. I remember you used to have, you you agreed me, the anxiety of thinking your dog is either A, not, is, like, needs more exercise, or b is going to fuck up the house, lead you to go crazy fucking, so then you shower them with treats, and it would just be like if if yeah if I gave my kids, like, three rounds of ice cream every day to make them happy.

Speaker: It's like, oh, I'm going to the U.S., s here's some fucking candy. so Right. Yeah, it is logical, but... Yeah, well, but it's perhaps a coincidence that you've let yourself go right as they're ballooning.

Speaker: I let myself go because I know you don't count it as cancer, but I couldn't i couldn't work out for a while because before and after. so And then I ate, you're right, and I'm going to St. Louis, which no one's ever been like, that's the place where you go get skinny.

Speaker: No, there's no health there. No health in St. Louis. I just want to know if you thought I look fat because I feel fat and I'm going to take care of it. I want you to that I'm going to take care of it. First, if you ask me that, no matter what you look like, I'm going to say yes.

Speaker: You already know that, right? I like that because a lot of people, their first thing is like, say no. No, you look fine. You look good. No. like I can't get it.

Speaker: You look horrible. Same with cock size. You know what I mean? no it's fine. It's good. Yeah. like i mean I had ah a comedian buddy had a great joke about that. I can't get an honest answer of these women.

Speaker: Which is is pretty funny. The imagery of a guy just constantly asking women what they think about his cock size every time he hooks up with somebody. It's pretty funny. Must have been a pre-ent pre-internet though, right?

Speaker: ah every All my comedy was pre-internet. pre ah Why do you say that? Because you wouldn't do that bit? Because it's not clean enough for for what's going on now in the comedy world? No, because...

Speaker: I mean, it's still funny, but like you can just go see that you're probably average by checking out some basic porn. Oh. Or or i thought you were going to say, like, ask Gemini what average cock size are. Oh, maybe, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: Now that Gemini knows everything. Okay, we're off the rails. Fuck. ah There's a fuck. There's another one. Well, we didn't have a plan.

Speaker: Somehow Lance and I- High school reunions. We talked about an old classmate then we said high school reunions. Oh, right, all right. But we had a we have a plan. It just, it was a you know, it came together quick.

Speaker: And we're not high school reunion guys. I know I'm not. You went to one, but you mentioned that you were you kind of hijacked it for the for the sake of your band. You played at it, but you weren't really. But that was pretty early. That might have been, what, a five or a ten year? Something like that. was a ten. I think it was the ten.

Speaker: Yeah. i think't I'm not really a high school reunion guy, but I was like... ah There's a couple guys that I think I would be... be a i would It's one of those things where you don't want to go. i don't i have no desire to go, and if I win, I'd probably have a good time.

Speaker: You know, but so why, why do people you were like, why? Yeah. People in small towns or people like high school reunions, people in Costa Rica still hang with their high school friends. Cause they don't, they like stay in their community.

Speaker: Like, why would it be important? But like some of those people like, there's a time in your life where these people were the most important people and helped you through a lot of shit. And then they're gone. And I wonder if any of those like come back to you in life. It's like, okay, why do you go to reunions? Well, because those people are so important to you at a certain point in your life, maybe.

Speaker: Yeah, maybe is is is the thing. Yeah, high school is an interesting time. I think you're lucky if you come out of that, especially in the suburbs, if you come out of that with a friend that you keep in touch with over the long haul.

Speaker: And I have different tiers of friends that I keep in touch with. And some are really, it's like a check-in annual and it's... It's just what you do. yeah Just in general, the the reunion thing, i don't' i don't know why it's not appealing. I think it's because we we we're in the suburbs. write A lot of the friendships, they were they weren't built by a foundation of our families knowing knowing each other and and just other things you might find in a small town.

Speaker: And you're saying like, sorry, but just to, so I understand you're saying the difference between being like, I don't know, in a town of 15,000 where it's there's actually a community and the difference between one of these ah cookie cutter cut suburb communities that just sprawl where there's not that much of a sense of a community is is a whole different ballgame.

Speaker: right yeah i think so i think so because that's like you can anchor around well there's staying power really when it comes to families people might there's a chance it might be part of your life for for a while right and those people are probably they're probably like why do i need to go to reunion i see gym every fucking day or or whatever exactly but but that it i'm making shit up i don't know if it's more important to them or not but going back to see somebody, like, there's a few people I definitely like to see. I'm sure they're the same people that you wanna see, cause they were characters, just to see what happened to them. But like, keeping in touch with you, there's a there's a core compatibility that keeps that going. There's a common language and shit like that, that makes that easier. Whereas a lot of people I hung out with back in high school, by virtue of the circumstances or activities we were doing, the just would be a real stretch.

Speaker: to hang and to want to ah be around them long-term, which means, which is why going back to the high school reunion while entertaining may not really bear any fruits beyond just being like entertaining. Like I could cruise in and out for like 45 minutes. That might be cool.

Speaker: I think, I mean, what, what's, I think probably reunions now, like with, you're never really, like, if you want to connect with anyone now, you can and in a way, which is kind of lame.

Speaker: But yeah, I think cruising in for a few minutes is good. I just, uh, I don't know. i like i'm not i'm and I'm not by any means, I don't feel like I'm the same person at all.

Speaker: I'm like different stages of my life, almost like unrecognizable. So it's like I'm going back for someone that ah it's not even me anymore, for people that aren't even that them either. I think you're remarkably consistent, honestly. I think you would go back and basically provide the same stuff.

Speaker: in just a, you obviously you're a more experienced human being at this point. I think we're both probably fairly consistent. I don't, I mean, i mean i'm I'm sure I would be, end up entertaining some people at the reunion and talking shit with people and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker: Right, right. But, I mean, you feel like you have the same ideals, the same everything you did when you were 16? No, no, no, no. 17? 17? seventeen

Speaker: Of course not. But like, I think that you're, unless you went through some major transformation because you were really dysfunctional, like socially or otherwise, um mental health, like in all likelihood, you operate very similarly in a social setting.

Speaker: So you're going to throw some sarcasm and make some weird jokes that some people will get and others won't. And then I'm going to um slip in some shock value nonsense just for my own amusement. And that's what we'll do. And it'll probably be fine.

Speaker: It'd probably be just fine. But the whole the thing I don't wouldn't want to do in the in that setting is like pretend I know people, pretend I remember them, all that stuff. Like this one guy came up to me at the 10 year and I forgot him and he was pissed.

Speaker: He just thought we were boys. And I'm like, everyone was my friend, dog. Come on now. Don't you know who I am? i have... Have you been... I mean, I'm sure you run into people occasionally. This hasn't happened in years since I'm not really in Denver much, but like... Or anywhere. Like, it it was is nice to run into people occasionally.

Speaker: Like... Actually, last time I was in Colorado, I ran into a dude that I... I mean, the thing is also, like, some of my... formative friend groups weren't straight up from high school. So I ran into ah dude that I traveled around playing baseball with one summer.

Speaker: Smokey Hill dude. But it was it was great. But I saw him for like 15 minutes. Yeah, that's cool. It was like, you come down to Costa Rica, let me know. He's going to let me know. And I'm not going to host him. But, but, uh, it was, it was, it was cool. It was pretty funny.

Speaker: Like we're two old, old idiots, but we still wreck, like we were looking each other for probably like a half hour going, it was like at a middle school volleyball game that my niece was playing in. And we're just like, is that fucking,

Speaker: And it was like, hey, did you play baseball with a, yeah, oh yeah. Then it was, you know, nice hug. All that shit is cool. Yeah, of course. Of course, like I said, 45 minutes of it's great. And then.

Speaker: Is it better for you if it's if it's a more like adult formative part of your life? Like like an a college reunion be better for you? Or even that it just seems ridiculous. I don't know that any of them feel great.

Speaker: So if I could just get a list beforehand and put a checkbox by people that I'd be interested in seeing, and then I have some sort of context for what I might want to interact with them, that would, that this sounds pathetic, but that would be ideal.

Speaker: So you'd you'd like to narrow it down to like 10, 15 people that you're like, yeah, I could, I could check in with that person. Yeah, because I would know who they were and it'd be an interesting conversation. Whereas like the broader reunion, which I'm not sure how well attended they are, but the broader reunion setting where it's like, I can just picture it. i've i' i've had Because I played in a band, a lot of people came to shows and I still struggled. This was when we were 20s to recognize them because people are really different from high school. And i it just sort of is annoying

Speaker: And it's like ah often like a female. It's like, don't you remember when we were in Mr. Muldoon's class? um mania I'm like, dude, I don't. I pretend, of course, but I really don't. And I'm trying to like I have to go back to the yearbook to figure it out.

Speaker: Yeah, don't. It's weird to me. People that have like vivid memories, they'll be like, yeah, I know when I was in class with so and so. And I'm like, don't know how they do that. I don't like there's stuff that I'm like, ah, I don't remember. I mean, I don't remember people always now that like, since I got back in the standup would be like, remember that one time you did this or that? And I'm, and I'm like, I don't, I don't, which makes it sound cooler, you know?

Speaker: Cause you do stuff like that all the time. I'm just flowing. Yeah. But I'm like, guy but actually it's like on early onset amnesia or, uh, Alzheimer's? um I'm like, yeah, dude, I don't know. I was just feeling it.

Speaker: I don't even remember. but but But let's let's speculate it who likes the high school reunion. Who do you think likes it and what would motivate them to go? Yeah, we were we were before the we got on air, I mentioned someone and you said, i don't think he would go. He always seemed depressed. And I was like, I think that might be the type of person that does go because they're like,

Speaker: seeking that better time in their life like i'm not i've never been a person that thinks that high school or college is like the best time my life like some people do i think my like my older brother like call his college years were great and he loves it and he has a connection there with the people and the the city and the team and and and he can embrace that i i i don't i don't get like that sort of nostalgia for those years So, but I, yeah, what, it yeah is it more likely like the super outgoing, happy guy, happy in their life once you go back to reunion and kick it or the more like depressed things didn't work out the way I want. Let's see if I can tie in the better time my life.

Speaker: Yeah, it'd it'd be a fascinating study. I think initially there might be some folks that want to prove they made it, that they're, they feel more confident than they did in high school, way more confident, like they are successful financially because the, you know, the, um,

Speaker: social contract changes dramatically from high school to the real world, right? Like a lot of the skills of being a popular person in high school make you kind of a useless citizen and yeah and vice versa. Just like drinking early, pretty cool.

Speaker: yeah so So certain people we know that we could name, we won't. they they Going back, is it's a real self-esteem boost. And ah maybe that's that's one reason. Although I don't know that that would last. Hopefully you figured that out by the time you're 50.

Speaker: You always pigeonhole them as geeks. It's like, I don't care, dude. Your Ferrari's not gonna bring you up into the cool kid crew. Yeah, but maybe it's just core curiosity and you're like, on a whim, your schedule works and like, sure.

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, yeah, and and almost ah in a way, i mean, there's a little bit of that. Like, what drives us is fine. I think Jordan was driven by getting cut in high school or some shit, but, like, if you're driven by, like, I gotta to go back the high school reunion show people I was successful and I should have been fucking prom king, you're most likely having some sort of, like, sad life.

Speaker: Mm-hmm. In many ways. you you You very well might be, yeah. ah if If the person organizing it is your friends with them, then then of course that's pretty logical that you might show up and hang.

Speaker: Yeah, I feel like we're pretty negative on it. Like, I think there's people that are probably pretty excited and a healthy place to like organize it and and be and be, you know, and be like see old people. And they were like, yeah, it was a great time. I had a great time with you guys for four years of my life or whatever it is. And I just want to hang out for a night and see you.

Speaker: And that's cool. It's not going to have to be this horrible thing. No, but our school was over 500 by the time we graduated. Our our class was like right around 500, think. i thought it's 447 that's what i tell people dude when it comes up okay for some reason i thought it was minimum 490s but whatever it doesn't matter there's a lot of people and so like yeah how many of those people did you actually know right and then who shows up it's sort of like picking out of a ah big jar of jelly beans and hoping you don't get black licorice and you're like fuck

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, there's people... there another Another horrible analogy. Welcome to POS. I mean, I could go on off the rails on black licorice for an hour. Like, who the fuck is like, oh, this is great.

Speaker: Old people? I had that once. I remember, where and it was in Maryland when I was probably five or six years old. And we were like, it was some outdoor like picnic show. I remember being on a blanket with my mom and some friends. Here, I just said, I have no memories, but I have this memory.

Speaker: I don't know where it was or what. I feel like it was like a Disney on ice thing, but it couldn't have been because summer. But there was some sort of like show. And I sat there and someone bust out a bag of black licorice and I just saw candy. I was like candy and ate it. And it like ruined my evening because you have that taste in your mouth for like days.

Speaker: Strong. And I have to like leave the room now for the rest of my life if anyone has black licorice anywhere close to me. Also what didn't like couldn't do Uzo shots because of it, which is, I think it's the same shit that flavors. oh yeah Yeah. What's that? I forget that flavor. Sambuca maybe. Yeah. It's ah it' like a nice. No. Yeah. Yeah. Close.

Speaker: um like It's something like that. Yeah. Don't worry about looking it up, dude. The podcast won't, won't suffer if we don't. why I want to know. Yeah. I know you do. um but um' I'm going to ask Gemini what fucks up licorice to make it taste like black licorice. I like how you can get real with Gemini. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. All right. Get me back. Get me back. Well, there's probably a curve of interest, like a U, kind an inverted curve of early in the reunion cycle, 10-year, maybe even 15-year, lots of interest.

Speaker: And then there's a trough around this range, 40 to 50 when... You're dealing with a bunch of BS probably. but you think now, I'm more like likely to go now than I ever was, even though I might never go. but Yeah, I think it's it's coming back up to where like you then begin to have an appreciation for where you came from. And it's like you're really comfortable with yourself at that point. i mean I'm just thinking 60s.

Speaker: And maybe that's it it's there's a more of a curiosity there. But ultimately, in a school like ours, and ah in a large suburb, you're going to go back to a bunch of people you don't remember.

Speaker: And that, to me, is a barrier. Yeah. And the conversations, I already have these conversations like these conversations about what do you Costa Rica, wow. Or like, what are you doing? Or like,

Speaker: And those already suck. So it'll just be that over and over and over again. Exactly. And then be like, what are you doing? Oh, retired. What? Oh my God.

Speaker: i want I don't want to any of those conversations. But I wonder if I was single, I think it would be an interesting place to go find someone to hook up with. And I i bet you I'd be the type of guy if I were single, single, single Lance that would successfully execute that.

Speaker: nostalgia gets nostalgia hookups i i think i'm sure i don't really have that but i shouldn't say don't really i don't at all have that but there's probably a lot of reunion because you yeah i mean maybe at this stage of your life you most people have gone through like yeah even a good marriage is hard so you're in like the the battle of a um a marriage that might be stale or might be You know, something that you become way too accustomed to. So then you look back at some little fling you had or some in high school or, and then you're like, yeah, that's probably like, ah that happens a lot at reunions, right? I mean, at least in movies and shit, they can trade out. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: But that what they don't show in the movies is is how ragged that trim is. That's what I going to say. Like, we're almost, it's almost too late. Like, it's either a go now or you're not going you're not going to be like, oh, like the 50 year, no one's being like, I'm going to go hammer.

Speaker: Well, they they might, but yeah, you would be looking for more of companionship potentially. And and people would not, this is an interesting thing is is our memories of what is attractive to us or what we potentially look like.

Speaker: Yeah, could it be a letdown? Yeah, the reality now, like even when I take off my shirt and I just like, I can't fathom why there are love handles given how much I exercise. There's just things that happen as you age that change your body a little bit, but like- There will be a couple people though that you're like, holy shit.

Speaker: Yeah, there'll be couple. Fucking wow. And we're pretty healthy, um but the- probability of you being attracted to somebody in a major way beyond one night or beyond your drunken stupor it's it's low dude i think you could yeah i think we're right on the edge because we both said we never fucking hook up a woman over 50. so we're right on the edge of of No, we didn't. We never said that. You're stupid. I would be like Matthew McConaughey's character in Dazed and Confused. This is the last year I can go to my own Class of 94 reunion.

Speaker: didn't have to be 95. Every year I'd add one. so for like by the time i'm you know we're like I'd be going to the... class of 2000 what's the math on that we graduated that class of 2014's fucking in reunion because they all stay the same age is what is what i would do like that i do man reunion hookups that's as uh a like a a horrible idea basically Yeah, it's bad. But that's one that's one thing that might motivate somebody is that possibility. But another thing that might motivate people is just the... money Go ahead.

Speaker: No, sorry. I was just going to but you don't really need that anymore. if you're you I mean, maybe that's like an excuse where you don't have to pursue the person and it'd be obvious that you're doing this. So maybe maybe that's why it's still relevant. But like if you want to find somebody, you probably could now.

Speaker: you know you You mean find a high school person? like Yeah, or someone from your past you can slide in. Yeah. yeah Anyways, what were you going to say I was going to say that maybe as the the age increases, it's almost like a win that you're still healthy and alive.

Speaker: And it's like, I'm going. I want people to know that I'm seven-tenths down the runway, baby. You know, or whatever. Yeah, I don't know. like how is there a percentage of even now like we what so we'd be what what is this we 30 years 30 year reunion 32 or whatever 33 next year if they did it like they they usually do reunions and like the time they graduate like in may june or something like that 10 year 10 year intervals so i guess the next one would be 40 years in the 30s would there's probably a chance that of that four or five or 500 people that a percentage of them are not alive well sure

Speaker: Yeah. But I don't know. I don't, I like, I'm trying to think of people that I know that we graduate with that are, are no longer with us. I mean, there some, but I don't, and I know. like I think I know like two that can think Two for sure. Yeah.

Speaker: Well, if you got two, my two might be different. So maybe there's four. Yeah. Well, wow. Let's not mention it. It's not the time or place.

Speaker: Yeah, but maybe it'd be fun. I'm not going to do it because I kind of feel the same way as you. But if I went one of my trips back, i did I did it kind of with three or four people that we were a little closer with. And that was fun for a night anyways. But it didn't really yield any long term friend like ah you guys are going to hang out and shit, which is fine. But if I was going to be like, let's get I'm going to pull together, like try to pull together 15 people that we're pretty close with or thought we were anyways at that age would you just be like no absolutely not yeah yeah i do it a small group like that but not not the reunion the other thing is the forced activities i don't know what they've been doing recently but the first one was a bunch of you know i don't know there's like a

Speaker: ah picnic gathering and then ah a formal like a formal i'm like oh yeah formal come on dude there was this was not part of the reunion but i think when our our high school went to the state championship this might have been you i don't remember when but i remember one of our old friends asked me if i was going i was like what fuck are you talking about like i'm gonna fly in for it but like they they planned like a tailgate at the and like hung out at the champ the state championship game the people from our team Yeah, i heard about If I was in Denver, I might have gone to that.

Speaker: yeah Yeah, I didn't hear about it until, I think, talking to you. Because you're not online. No, i don't I don't want to be online. I doubt ever i doubt ever be in a situation where I'm going to be like, you remember when we fought in one state?

Speaker: like I mean, it'd be fun to hang out with those guys, but i don't see that. Where that conversation has legs, yeah, yeah. I think I've moved so far beyond surface-level talk and and just having having zero interest in it that the reunion was is likely to be a bust.

Speaker: Although people do lead with their trauma, which isn't fun either. And so you might be barraged with sort of devastating news.

Speaker: yeah i mean and and how how much do you really want to discuss your own trauma and like i mean you're what you've gone through last few years and and in in all of us like parenting relationships like do you really want to be like really yeah me too oh you got divorced yeah like maybe that's why people go to it to just unload I think people probably just think it's a good time. It's like it might be like, I don't know how to explain it, a protected zone or something. Like it's just, maybe it's exact the opposite of everything we're talking about. It's like a, it's like a safe place or like a no consequences place.

Speaker: Because just like, oh, this was just a good time in my life when I was an idiot kid learning about the world and I can go back there for four hours. I think that's it. I think people that have some rough things going on in their life, connecting back with high school is...

Speaker: is healthy and meaningful but i do suspect that a lot of people go there when oh after they've had significant health stuff or sort of big transitions like divorce or things like that it it somehow makes more sense to them the health thing in particular i've noticed that people that have had some early struggles with health really are open about it which i think is fine it's just not exactly a good time you know But there's no time, there's no like period in your life that you would like the idea of every reunion. Maybe it's like go hang out with the people that you were close to when your kids were young and you guys lived up in the mountains. or There's no like reunion where you're like intrigued to be like, I'd like to reconnect with that group besides high school. College, you said no.

Speaker: i Like I said, it's a list. If you gave me a list and I could check boxes, yeah, there'd be quite a few. It's not a time period or a place. No, because with every group, there were some some real ah stragglers that you'd like, or or some real ah anomalies that you just didn't want around. I get that. i mean, you got to trim the herd. It's not like you're going to be like the whole class of 98 UNC. You're like, let's all get together. Yeah.

Speaker: I mean, I've sort of it's not a reunion, but I got back in a standup and I reconnected and we, you remember where the, the, the seniors version this podcast, ah a lot, some of it was a little bit about reconnection, right? i Like, like maintain friendships. Okay.

Speaker: Okay. Let me go there. Cause like, I think the Jake and Dave connection. I was going to say your band. Like those were, those were great. And I still will periodically text them usually just a joke or something, but How's your sauces, Dave? Yeah. Those are cool guys. It was good to connect with them. But what's up with Paul? a little test if he's still listening. Paul and in Milwaukee, like, i' a boy, did he drop off after we gave him some advice that backfired and his wife threatened. I'm queuing up his email right now, dude. Yeah.

Speaker: You think we've ruined his life? Well, she probably was like, those fucking guys don't know what they're talking about. What are you talking about? So he's like, I'm not going back there. I'm not going back to talk to those guys.

Speaker: I'm looking right now, last time, May 26, 2025, and then, ah yeah I say we, but i didn't you ruined his life, not me.

Speaker: Oh, because my my advice? i just sat there silently. ah baby set Yeah, sorry for that. I'm not going to read this out loud, but they yeah. In retrospect, yeah if I was the wife, that had to have come across as fairly condescending and speculative ah from her point of view.

Speaker: But i I just talked, like real talk, like and you did too, but like he made the bold move of wanting to share all that shit on the pod. So if you're listening, Paul. Fuck you, bro. I'm sending him an email right now. I think what he did was great because – I mean, I know like in my marriage and just the financial part of it was pretty tough and it led to like, it led to issues even in like normal stuff. It's not like we're both psychopaths, but like you're just not always on the same page. And so he, he didn't say anything like too damning or no, no. If you go, I see things differently in the other person. but I think that's ah almost, that's what screws things up when like, you're not ah able to say that, you know?

Speaker: Well, I'm just saying that I would have expected that our connection to him would would have strengthened after that. Yeah, yeah. It almost severed because it was like it was like, okay, I had enough of that shit.

Speaker: As matter of fact, I thought we were going to do a follow-up. Yeah, I don't know, man. But but but if Paul's listening, I say, fuck you, bro. If you're listening to this episode, I'm mad. I'm hurt.

Speaker: I'm hurt. And now Lance will never go to reunion because you fucking he ghosted us. I think... uh the ball's in his court because we did the work yeah we did that one we did we did the work on a lot of them we did my buddy andrew orvidal did the work but yeah i mean i like so you talk to dave and jake i think you'd probably if you have one night where like everyone was in denver or you were in seattle i don't know where the rest of the bandmates are who you consider the band but like if you have one night where i don't know either hanging out or playing some music together that would probably be a pretty cool reunion wouldn't it or is it just such a part of your past that

Speaker: No, it'll be fine. It'd be fun. Actually, I was in Seattle and I i prompted them with ah an ah opportunity, but I was like, the schedule was whack. We didn't have transportation. Yeah. That's on your way to that cruise?

Speaker: Yeah. They would have like come to like directly downtown in the middle of traffic. It would have been hell for them because I know they got young kids. But so I just decided now I'll spare them the headache.

Speaker: So high school, no, maybe the band years, those people. And then there's no like different. And then now you kind of move into like people that you know, because your kids, which it's either work, which I have a feeling you're not really that interested in a work reunion type thing. Maybe you keep in touch with a few people. Um,

Speaker: Which is kind of crazy because I say that laughing like it'd be so ridiculous, but it's also like, like it or not, those are people that were part of your life for like a while and you're like, but it's but it's like, do you have a desire to see them. It's like, ugh. There's certain people I do. I actually had a lunch with a guy yesterday that we were, you know, friends through our kids. Oh, really?

Speaker: Yeah, always was a cool guy, and I hadn't talked to him in years, but it turns out, like, he, like, wrecked his bike. I don't think he'd mind me saying this, but he wrecked his bike, he like, very tragically in the mountains and was like in a coma for a while and then at the Brain Hospital in Denver and um full full recovery, but just crazy shit happens, right? Where maybe you lose touch with somebody not because- You didn't know any of this?

Speaker: It's like a situation where we had contact probably three years ago and then maybe that, or right right after we had contact that happened. And I maybe texted him and didn't get a response and sort of like spun out in my own head or something. was like, okay, cool, whatever.

Speaker: And then that happens. So it's just things that you don't know or like, cause if somebody I hadn't talked to in a while was reaching out to me right now, I'm not in the mood for all that. So who knows? Dude, that it's interesting. ah like when you talk about, you know, you were mentioning earlier, like part of the, the bullshit is like, I gotta go listen to these people's trauma and share my own. But it's almost like if you're going to commit to one reunion, you need to, because you need to get through all the bullshit.

Speaker: ah of a life update and then you can be like oh yeah what's up dude you think the you think the buffs are gonna fire Dion and important shit like that ah like yeah but so you probably spent a good portion of that launch talking about the crazy thing that happened to him right Oh, yeah. It a good catch-up.

Speaker: No, it's nice to do. You were comfortable enough with with this guy like He was close enough where you shared all the shit that you been you were going through, too? or Yeah. i mean and I mean, not all the nuance, but sure certainly like the high level. But yeah, no, it was good. Sounds horrible.

Speaker: You're talking about horrible, all the shit you've been going through. It's like, how are you? Terrible. How are you? Terrible. Good. No, I mean, I'd put him in that category. I'd put him in the category of somebody that I would check on the box if we were having a reunion of people that I like specifically. But I get your guerrilla warfare on, you're like one-on-one type reunion to certain smaller groups or individuals that were close to you in an area of your life.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah, for sure. I mean, I had a great time in all the different phases, but yeah, I don't want the entire crew of people that was involved because, you know, a lot of people are not fingerable.

Speaker: Dude, have you got, you mentioned that in the last, just breeze through that. and You mentioned that that at the when you went to the reunion 20 years ago, people were like, remember class? And you were like, no.

Speaker: But have you ever had the the experience where... Because we're talking about, oh, we might want to see people that were important to us in our lives at the time. But if you ever had the experience that you apparently had... Like, they had a... The other person had a higher value of where you were in their life than you did of theirs. And it's kind of awkward because you're like...

Speaker: I could take or leave my, like, ever seeing you again and they're, like, yearning to see you. Yeah, ah definitely. That sucks. You can breeze through that, right? Make the person feel good without being like, yeah. yeah Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. Well, but I did want to say before we wrap because we're getting far into this. Where are at here? That I would want to see every girl since middle school that I hooked up with. And by hooked up, I don't mean necessarily have sex, but I – did stuff with i'd want to see every single one of them and see if i'm still attracted to them i think that'd be interesting and weird yeah in my case i'm not sure if i want to see either of them oh right there's one right maybe two

Speaker: self-deprecating humor bro yeah nobody nobody gets hurt nobody gets hurt you're like a modern teenager where they just don't do much Would you like, would you not by choice? Would you, would you like, would you like to know?

Speaker: i mean this, would you like to know everybody in your life that, that either liked you or was attracted you and maybe you didn't know it or maybe you thought it, would you like to know that? Yes.

Speaker: I ran into a girl. This was sort of coming out of the Air Force. And she was like, I don't know, under the radar in high school, I think. And she was like, oh, my God, I haven't crashed on you for three years.

Speaker: I didn't do anything with it, but I was like. Do I know this person? i I doubt it. Oh, you said high school. I didn't know. it was It's not a high school. I can't even think of her name at this point. But I just was like, that felt good.

Speaker: That felt good. Yeah. I mean, I do wonder if there's any... I mean, I've had a few times where someone might have mentioned that somebody had someone they knew that someone liked me and I had no idea. And I'm like, am i just was I just so dumb? Or you had a crush, it which is kind of a silly thing for women. like When they like i had a crush on someone, you don't even know what that means.

Speaker: in in times but uh is it might not even be like a hookup sexual thing or something it might be like i like you i like your attitude and yeah in english class or i don't know but uh it'd be interesting to chart that though the chart the dynamics that make it possible because like high school my libido my interest in like just putting my thing in any hole It's better that you didn't now, right? very Much better. It was very high. And I wonder if for some of the ah girls that I was like, yes, yeah, i definitely, definitely do that. I wonder, like, would that still be the case now? Assuming all else equal, they like followed a reasonable trajectory health healthwise

Speaker: would I still be like, yeah, I'm still attracted to you. That'd be interesting. I wonder if you have like a universal hotness that was so generally a lot of people had a crush on you because I feel like I don't have that, but there is some weird, I don't know what, what box I'm checking, but there is like a weird, uh, angle that some, some girls, maybe some guys get into and it, but it's not universal, which is kind of weird.

Speaker: You were safe and funny. And, yeah, yeah. i don't i wouldn't I doubt any of these crushes. I don't think there'd be a whole lot of crushes like people in high school that find out had liked me. I just don't believe that. But it'd be like later in life where I'm like, yeah I feel like there's there's like a huge portion of women that would not give me a chance.

Speaker: And yet other people might be like, yeah, which is which is kind of weird. I wonder with with when you back when you had all your sweet hair and everything, if you were just universally universally crushed on. I don't know. if yeah I don't know. I mean, I hooked up with a wide range of of bees from popular down to scrubs.

Speaker: That's so great, dude. I wonder, like, you know, this would be one reason for, you know, when you're like, I don't want this podcast podcast to be anything more than than it than it is. It would be nice if just for that reason, we were so big, every person who ever liked us had a crush on us would write in or call in or or and be like, I did.

Speaker: And you'd be like, no shit. And then you'd be some dude that's like, dude, I thought you were a fucking pussy, dude. That's the other question. Like, would you want to know, like, so if you wanna know all the, everybody who liked you, it would be awesome. It'd be interesting to even guys, like, cause I'm sure we had 500 people in our class. There's probably a percentage of guys were gay. And you wonder like how many of them had a crush on Lance. Sure. When, when they're in high school, that's, that's flattering too. Right. I'm getting old. I'm up for anything these days, bro. No, I'm. Would you like to know all the people that fucking either thought you were a joke or hated you or, or thought I have a pringer. No, I have a pretty good idea of of those people. I mean, I do i have a pretty good idea. I think if you were in a any if you were in a category of taking AP classes and you were a guy and you were sort of smart and maybe ahead of...

Speaker: like um Emotional development, you were a little bit ahead. You looked at me and went, what fucking tool, dude. Fucking tool. I don't know. You weren't gonna fuck. No, yes, yes. You weren't gonna fuck with me. That's different. But like, I think you were like, this guy, what what is he doing? um I totally get that. There was there's definitely a contingent there. And then of course, some of the athletes that I had conflict with, definitely. You didn't have you didn't have the same conflicts, but. I mean, yeah, a lot of those guys are probably those guys that you're talking about. I was probably friends with not the athlete dorks. Yeah. But the ah but yeah, I don't know. It'd be it'd be nice to know people that that were like, no, I don't know. Nice is right word. But people you're like, it'd be nice to know. I wonder if you learn that when you're dead or and or at some point in life, you kind of get a snapshot of all the like. ah you know a dashboard of all the people that liked you or didn't like you or that you bothered and why or misunderstood you you know like because because sometimes you'll find out something like you bothered someone in there and they just misunderstood you completely like or you didn't intend to which is probably most of the time in life but there are times where you were like intending one way or another to be like well fuck you you know and and there is that great is my last comment

Speaker: and i like i want can you Sorry, but can you edit in the the last comic to me? I hooked up with a lot of bees and that were popular and trash or whatever. That's a great last one. Maybe I'll put that first. but i Go ahead. I just hijacked your last comment. No, what you just said, and I'm not an entrepreneur, but that would make a good...

Speaker: AI platform where you could have agents go out and solicit that direct feedback from, and it would do it ah automatically of anybody that was in your network and life.

Speaker: And maybe you fed it some information, but then it came back with a bit of a life review. This is what this person thought of you. i mean, you'd get, and maybe it would filter out outliers of people trying to be dipshits.

Speaker: Uh, but that be interesting. Yeah. That would be a good place to start, but it might not cat. Like there's probably like if I'm saying, if you're getting all the information, anyone who was remotely attracted you or liked you, or even hated you, could be someone that, like, you got gas at the QT every day for four years while you were working. Well, sure, sure. And then some girl was like, look at that blonde Adonis. Like, every Tuesday he comes and gets his shit.

Speaker: You know, people that you didn't even know. You're like, oh, shit, that girl at the gym or whatever. That's a data and my data mining feat. But, no, I had, like, did you ever have girls, like, whistle when you were jogging?

Speaker: And not, not mockingly, which is, I suspect what actually happened to you.

Speaker: I have a terrible jog, dude. I'm not, I'm not too proud to admit it. So I don't think so when I was jogging, but, uh, I don't, I don't, I don't know. i don't think so.

Speaker: I, I, I, I'm trying to remember. I feel like there's some experience in my life where I might have had something where I'm doing something and someone's like giggling or talking or gawking, but I but i can't place it.

Speaker: So what's your story on that? I'm excited to hear this. I mean, I've had that a few times, but I would at this 50 year old Lance would love the opportunity to. pull up pull those girls out of the car. and Is it like an older middle-aged confident lady who's just like, oh, i don't like a grandma? Are you talking about some young girl like our age, normal girl who's just like whistling?

Speaker: Just girls, dude. Were you at peak performance at the time? Yeah, it was like as like college stuff, yeah. You probably, you were you were kind of a performer, dude. But you called me Evander Holyfield holy field in college. That was like yeah your way of like fucking with me, but also complimenting me.

Speaker: Because there was a point where I was in real good shape. And not fat. He had 3% body fat, didn't he, Evander? Yeah, I mean, he was bigger and way stronger, obviously. But... yeah all right i'm not saying you're fishing for compliments but i bet you you did something to encourage those whistles because you were you were a crazy perform public performer back really what i do i pop pop my ass out i'm doing like doing some silly stuff no i just was jogging It was just straight up your body.

Speaker: I'm not that insecure that I would bring up like when I prompted these chicks. ah That's great, dude. I bet you there's thousands. of if we If we ever found a way to find out who had a crush on Lance, there's thousands these. Do you know what's a long list?

Speaker: A long list of is everybody either of us thought about, every girl either of us thought about, oh yeah, I'd hit that. That's a long list. AI would explode and shut down if they had to fucking filter that list.

Speaker: does it Is it still growing? Of course. To be a healthy man, should. That's right. Touching my cock right now. U-S-A. That's what ah our our Secretary of War would say. If you stop compiling a hit list, you may as well come out of the closet.

Speaker: That's what Peter Hegsath would say, right?
