Introduction of Hosts and Initial Thoughts

00:00:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello and welcome back to the Daily Southampton, part of the Global Sports Podcast Network. My name is Greg Elliott and I'm once again joined by the full Daily Southampton team, my good friends Oscar, how you doing?
00:00:21
Oscar
Yeah, okay, thank you.
00:00:23
Global Sports Podcast Network
And Zach, heyda but
00:00:25
Zak
Yeah, all good, mate. As good as you can be.
00:00:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
how you doing, bub? We are looking forward to what, if you don't listen to Zach, promises to be an exciting fixture at the weekend. but're gonna We're going move past his optimistic nil-nil draw prediction and hope that we get something more out of the game than that as we take on Wolves at St Mary's.
00:00:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
So, Oscar, how do do you think it's going to play out?

Match Strategies and Formation Debates

00:00:54
Oscar
Well, I don't think we're going to have a better opportunity to to get past that 11-point mark, get those valuable three points. Coming up against Wolves, who are one of the few sides in and around us, still technically catchable, and without their their star man. So i'm I'm fairly optimistic for this weekend.
00:01:17
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah. Do you think that we're going to see the same sort of shape that we saw against Liverpool? Or do you think it's going to sort of revert to this awful five-back?
00:01:27
Oscar
I don't see why you'd change it. I mean, it worked to as much of an extent as it could have worked, really. i mean, I think that was probably... I think they would have... We spoke about it before. I would have snatched your hand off for that at the beginning of the game. So I'm sure they would have taken it.
00:01:44
Oscar
Obviously, I know they you know would have maybe felt they could have got more at the game. But yeah, I think why would you change it if it was something that was more positive than what we've seen over the last few weeks?
00:01:56
Oscar
So, yeah, i' I see no reason to change it.

Scoring Challenges and Team Optimism

00:01:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
And Zach, if we don't change, I know you were saying yesterday on the crossover that you see a lot of nil-nil in the future, but do you think there's anyone in the team that just has a couple of goals in them that might sort of bring out on the bag?
00:02:17
Zak
I really struggle to to see that. if we If we score, like the last couple of goals we've had, like as much as we joke about how Joe Aribo's our top goal scorer, I guess one of the few positives to take is where we have got goals, they have come from vastly different areas, more out of necessity.
00:02:36
Zak
So I don't know if there'll be a specific area that could cause it. But, you know, stranger things have happened. Like, also I also, don't know if I kind of disagree in the fact that I know that Wolves are down the bottom with us.
00:02:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
Thank
00:02:50
Zak
I still consider them to be a much better football club than ours. And I think that ever since they've had Gary O'Neill leave, they've got sort of starting to return to where they were. Not quite to like the weird level that Everton are, but I genuinely feel like the teams around us at the moment are Leicester and Ipswich, who are who are who are t you are like teams that are probably, let's face it, in all likelihood going down with us.
00:03:15
Zak
So, yeah, and it's it's really difficult because I can't pinpoint any specific area where I think that we're suddenly going to excel.
00:03:25
Zak
But again, it's for me, it's about proving that we can build on anything this season. And I think that the performance in the last game was a perfect opportunity to go, actually, we're not the worst team ever.
00:03:37
Oscar
Thank you.

Fan Behavior and Club Policies

00:03:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:03:42
Zak
But they they need to they need to do that. So i said, to reiterate, not any specific area in particular do I think that we have a better chance. But if if we can get some magical moments that result in a goal and we end up winning the game, I'm also not going to complain, you know.
00:03:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, think I think it's really important to put together a performance because that, in my mind, would be the point that starts setting apart Juric from the rest of the season, right?
00:03:59
Zak
just struggle to see it.
00:04:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
Because we've had these games where we're good in spells here and we have a good 45 minutes or a good 70 minutes or a really like really promising sort of half an hour period.
00:04:14
Oscar
you
00:04:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
And we get to transform that into a full 90-minute performance. So this... This needs to be it. Even if that is enough, who knows? But it really needs to be the turning point. it We really need to get the monkey of our off our back of the home form, I think, because think I touched on it briefly in the crossover yesterday. like it's It's whatever the opposite of a fortress is. is It's going down a rabbit hole. like Playing at home is not something we've been good at this season.
00:04:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
And it's something that we're going to need to sort out before we go into the championship next year, for sure, because it's not good.
00:04:55
Zak
Yeah,
00:05:01
Zak
but... So touching on that, Greg, obviously the club have released a statement about people, you know, selling all their tickets to... And I know that it was brought about by a lot of the Liverpool fans being in the, you know, Saints away end. But it's not something that, in my opinion, is surprising, right?
00:05:18
Zak
like it's it's got I think it's got significantly worse with just the state of the season. is that Not a lot of Saints fans have wanted to go. They know people who are fans of other clubs.
00:05:29
Zak
They want to make a bit of money back on their season ticket. They've sold their season ticket. And then you've ended up with I think that sorting out that kind of stuff, I think, will also massively help contribute to it.
00:05:40
Zak
Like, you know, I'm pretty sure all of us here have known somebody potentially who's gone to the game using someone else's ticket that's an opposing fan. And it's awful because it's like, you know, if it's if it's somebody you know and they're like a mate, you don't really want to do it.
00:05:53
Zak
But it's it's just feels a bit gross at the moment. And I don't blame anyone for not going. But then I don't think it helps that we are also... There are also members of the team, like members, like fans of stuff that are perpetuating that bind of behavior by allowing their tickets to be sold or selling it on.
00:06:09
Zak
And that is resulting in, you know, our home end not being really our home end.
00:06:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah I think particularly the example that's caused the sort of statement from the club was Liverpool supporters being in the away end at Anfield, which is just nuts.
00:06:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
But it's...
00:06:26
Zak
Yeah, but it's it's the fact that it took that, like we've all known about it, it's constantly spoken about. how How do you you know, but but also I don't think you're going to see that turn. from from what you want it to be. You know, if you want it to be a fortress, you're not going to start seeing that until results come.
00:06:42
Zak
And I do not think that we are going to start getting results this season.
00:06:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:06:46
Zak
I don't think that I would also, i don't want to prematurely start going on, getting on a run, and then all of the players that we have and getting behind the team and all of a sudden they leave. And, you know, I know that we've got at least another couple of, what, like 10 games left or something like that.
00:07:00
Zak
I'm aware that we need to kind of be, you know, to pay attention to them. But as I kind of keep maybe reiterating too much like i'm not checked out but i am locked in to next season I know that you need to justify the rest of your season ticket, Greg. So I get it. I really do.
00:07:18
Zak
But for me, it's like, I don't think that any of the changes we're hoping to come are going to come in the result from the results of the next couple of games. What I do want to see is that, you know, i want these players for their own sake, more than anybody else, to not be you the worst Premier League team of all time.
00:07:36
Zak
And it is up to them to prove it to us. It shouldn't have to be, what can the fans do? What can we do? Like, what can we motivate them? How about, you know, shocker, you try to not be the worst Premier League team of all time.
00:07:49
Zak
Because I keep reiterating it that that moniker will live with them for the rest of their careers. Because it will be, you know, Jan Bednarek, who was also part of the worst Premier League team of all time.
00:08:00
Zak
If they don't want that, they need to do something about it. And it's sort of upsetting that we kind of keep having to point that out.
00:08:09
Oscar
It might lead to people mentioning the 9-0 a bit less unless it's going to be tagged on to that moniker.
00:08:13
Zak
Yes.

Lineups and Player Positions

00:08:13
Oscar
The worst Premier League team in history that also lost 9-0 twice.
00:08:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah
00:08:18
Oscar
And Baden-Naric was part of all three.
00:08:18
Zak
Oh, what a wonder.
00:08:21
Zak
Greg, you call me depressing, mate.
00:08:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
This is not the upbeat vibe I'm going for, guys, if I'm honest.
00:08:25
Oscar
But in two...
00:08:28
Zak
We'll get there. We'll get there.
00:08:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
this
00:08:29
Zak
i Look.
00:08:29
Oscar
Well, I'll jump in on on that, Greg. To flip it a little bit, I think that it's the perfect opportunity to build on... I think a lot of people are looking at Johannes Spores that's come in and the interview that he's been doing recently and thinking, OK, we might actually have someone that at least seems to have a plan.
00:08:47
Oscar
So if that...
00:08:48
Zak
Thank you.
00:08:48
Oscar
In the future, if you can build on that with a win on Saturday, all of a sudden things don't look as bleak. Maybe a couple of the players that are sort of on the fence about staying or going... Maybe think, you know what? I'll give it a go. So I think there is a positive spin to come from it, but obviously not if we lose 4-0.
00:09:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think that's fair. I mean, i think if, even if you want to take the sort of negative approach, the chances of us getting absolutely battered with their best player out are slim to none at least.
00:09:18
Global Sports Podcast Network
So, like, we might lose graciously if nothing else.
00:09:19
Oscar
I think they, so I think not, I know.
00:09:22
Zak
Man, that is so risky to say. This is Henstrand Larson gets a hat-trick like...
00:09:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
LAUGHTER LAUGHTER
00:09:28
Oscar
And not to tempt fate again, but i I did see a stat that was going around today that something like 10 of their 14 game-winning goals or assists or whatever have been provided by Kunia.
00:09:41
Oscar
So that makes a difference as well, but not to jinx that touch wood.
00:09:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
That is a stat. Right. Okay. That takes us nicely into our first break and after which we'll be talking about our predicted lineups and how we see it playing out.
00:09:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
but But first a message from our partners at Bionique.
00:10:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay, and we are back. So, predicted lineups. I think we alluded to it a bit at the start, but I don't really, don't see a need to change much from the start in XI last week. is Oscar, is there any sort of points of concern you see that they might change?
00:10:57
Oscar
I don't think, I think for me, the biggest question mark, I think the team more or less picks itself. I think it depends on what Jan Bednarik situation is, because I know there's certain policies around head injuries.
00:11:08
Oscar
My biggest question mark is Stryker, shockingly, is who who goes up there. are they Did Grombeck do enough to to keep a position? Yeah.
00:11:18
Oscar
Do you throw Tillpool back in there? I've got a bit of a wild card to throw in there. Given that he's played pretty much every position already this season and is our top goal scorer, could Joe Eribo do a job up there?
00:11:29
Zak
Thank
00:11:31
Oscar
I wonder.
00:11:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:11:33
Oscar
I mean, he's played he's played higher up in the past.
00:11:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
Why not?
00:11:36
Oscar
So, you know, if we're just randomly chucking people there hoping someone does a job, then wouldn't mind seeing it.
00:11:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
Why not? Yeah, absolutely. And then last home game of the season, we could chuck him in goal as well and just give him the full, like, all-rounder medal for the season.
00:11:49
Oscar
complete the package.
00:11:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah. I actually, joking aside, don't think that's the worst idea.
00:11:52
Zak
you.
00:11:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
I mean, like you say, he's genuinely our top goal scorer, so maybe. Maybe. Maybe that's the answer. i think he was... i think it's heart almost harsh by him that he wasn't in the starting lineup at all with the new shape. It's... ah't I know. Zach, you're shaking your head. What's...
00:12:13
Zak
I'm shaking my head because you're there like, oh yeah, we can put him up front because he's our top goal scorer. I'd understand that if he was our top goal scorer by like three or four. He's our top goal scorer by one.
00:12:25
Zak
Like, with three goals.
00:12:26
Oscar
Tell what you can get.
00:12:27
Zak
like Like, by this logic, theoretically, you know, if Harwood Bellis gets another one, it's going to be a toss-up between him and Harwood Bellis who goes up front. Like, I think that you should
00:12:36
Oscar
not going to be He's not going to do worse than anyone else that's been up there.
00:12:40
Zak
No, no, you're right. But also I don't understand how in in one sense we can, we can talk about how we want players to be played in their proper position, but then also we we'll flip and then be like, but also just shove anyone up there that can score a goal.
00:12:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
But the problem is, Zach, that we've only got two strikers, neither of which are we willing to play to their style of play that is going to make them good.
00:13:02
Zak
Both of them are fit.
00:13:04
Zak
So play them together.
00:13:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
Arguably...
00:13:04
Zak
There
00:13:05
Oscar
yeah
00:13:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:13:08
Zak
you go. Problem solved.
00:13:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
There we go. That's the tall Paul Cameron Archer shout for everyone playing a match preview bingo. Yeah.
00:13:18
Zak
I also find fascinating is obviously we said we don't really want to switch much out. And you said it was hard done by a reboot. Have we all become small bone lovers again now? is is he Is he to start again?
00:13:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think he he had a fine game.
00:13:32
Zak
Did he do enough?
00:13:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I think he he was okay. I think we talked about it on the the Ever Lost episode about tactics, but he's such an easy scapegoat that we're we're guilty of that as well.
00:13:47
Zak
He is. And it...
00:13:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
But it's because because he's such an almost an all-round player, but also... none of the previous systems, they kind of exposed his weaknesses rather than playing to his strengths.
00:14:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
Whereas he seemed to do okay in this sort of role where he was more sort of playmaker almost.
00:14:06
Zak
Cut.
00:14:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
But then also, i guess, technically gave away the penalty. Well, that was soft. I don't know.
00:14:17
Oscar
i probably would i probably would have, joking aside, Ugachukwu in there with Eribo, personally.
00:14:17
Zak
cut
00:14:24
Oscar
If it was my choice, I think it would be Ugachukwu and Smallburn, don't get me wrong, but I would go with him and Eribo. It's just that, again, that's the only question mark for me really is that striker position.
00:14:35
Oscar
And I probably would throw Tallpool in there just because it adds you something else if you need it. I think if you put Archer in there, then you've got Dibbling, Suleiman around Archer all looking to get him behind. i just don't think the balance is quite right.
00:14:49
Oscar
I agree. I think Archer, you probably want to put him up with a two if he's going to play.
00:14:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
just put tall Paul in and tell him, don't go further back down the pitch than the D on the edge of the box.
00:15:01
Oscar
Yeah.
00:15:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
Just just stay in the box. And then when Suleymane or Diblin get in behind and into a position on the wing, there's someone in the box for the ball to bounce off.
00:15:13
Oscar
Yeah.
00:15:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
Sometimes that might go in the goal.
00:15:17
Oscar
Exactly. If they can angle it right and bounce it off his forehead, they might be able bounce it into the goal.
00:15:23
Oscar
If he had chest ahead of it, there's a difference. But...
00:15:23
Zak
Is it...
00:15:26
Zak
Why do we think it took so long to change the shape? Like, obviously, the tactics episode was lost to the ether and I wasn't a part of it, but it is one of those things where he was not going to be rigid to his system, then he was really weirdly rigid to his system, then he said he was going to change, then he didn't, then he made a change, and as again, probably the best 45 minutes of football I've seen us play this season, followed by probably the worst 45 minutes, but it's one of those sort of again, like I really hope we can build off of it, and I really hope that you know we don't have to make too many changes, because but it's not like it was a winning side either.
00:16:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
My best guess as to why it took so long was be down to fitness, purely of centre-backs.
00:16:03
Zak
So, don't know.
00:16:07
Zak
Yeah?
00:16:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I think it would be confidence around the centre-backs because although Bellicott chap's come in and, you know, done fine. want to say well, but also we we still haven't kept a clean sheet or one. so But he's done as fine as you'd expect. But he was an unknown quantity all the way through that until recently.
00:16:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
And so we don't have a natural back four. If you lose Harwood, Bellis or Bednarak, you almost need that extra body in there because you just don't have faith that the other players are going to do it.
00:16:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
We didn't <unk>t have enough centre-backs, which is why we ended up in this weird position.
00:16:46
Oscar
Thank you.
00:16:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then you're kind of stuck in that in the way it is. you sort of That's how you've built to prepare. And then you identify after Brighton that you need to change for Chelsea. But also, what can you do in one day off and one travel day?
00:17:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
So think that's why it took so long.
00:17:04
Oscar
Yeah, I think you're probably right in that it's often playing a back three can be to hide or protect someone that's in there. You can't really expose it so much as a back four. so Or you can't leave it so exposed if they're in a back four or two. So, yeah, i agree. Probably there's none of that. And I think also, you know, following from the the Russell Martin Monday Night Football, sticking to a philosophy, which I know, Greg, you have your...
00:17:31
Oscar
you have your opinions on.
00:17:32
Zak
Thank you.
00:17:33
Oscar
I think even with Russell Martin, to be fair, like I think it's important to, i think you look at it one way or the other, right? If you stick to your philosophy and it works, then you're praised for being just sticking to your guns.
00:17:47
Oscar
And if it doesn't work, you're, you're called naive and, and that you need to adapt. umm I'm not saying that, that they shouldn't have adapted or whatever, but yeah,
00:17:57
Oscar
But for me, I think you've got to be adaptable. And it does seem to be a modern thing now that people are saying, right, well, I'm going to stick to what I believe in and I'm going to get some sort of kudos for that after by doing what I believe in. At least if I get fired, I stuck to my principles. But ultimately, you're there with two managers managing presiding over the worst Premier League team in history.
00:18:16
Oscar
Your kudos isn't going to mean too much. So I think fair play that he's adapted. Maybe Spores coming in has had an influence on it. Maybe he said, why don't you do this? And he said, okay, that might work. I don't know. I could be wrong, but.
00:18:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
I
00:18:27
Zak
it's a combination of all these things but like yeah i guess i guess the problem is in my head now is do we do we judge him on these last couple of games of the season where he's potentially got a much fitter squad than the last couple of games where we've all been miserable as sin but realistically we haven't had a full set of center backs so maybe have we been a bit too harsh or is it a combination of all those things it's just hmm
00:18:28
Oscar
yeah
00:18:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
don't know.
00:18:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
It's harder to gauge going forward because purely because of mentality. like It's so far gone at this point that that so few of the players are really going to buy in anyway.
00:19:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it's, I was think it's a really difficult position to be in.
00:19:03
Zak
Yeah, right.
00:19:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't think that I'm not saying, suggesting we keep him next season. and I'm not saying we get rid. I just think he's been given a really tough position, uh, to deal with.
00:19:17
Global Sports Podcast Network
And, you know, unless he goes on to win 10 games and nobody sees that happening.
00:19:23
Oscar
No, this is, I think, you know, he's come in in a fairly impossible situation and much like Nathan Jones, but he hasn't he hasn't done what Nathan Jones did, which was make himself look like a complete idiot by constantly attacking the fans, constantly blaming everyone else under the sun.
00:19:23
Global Sports Podcast Network
Uh,
00:19:42
Oscar
We know that a lot of the the issues that Nathan Jones faced weren't his fault. We know in the same way that a lot of the issues Juric faces aren't his fault. Juric has always been the first one to put his hands up and say, you know, we got it wrong or we know that we haven't been good enough.
00:19:58
Oscar
So that's probably why who exit with a bit more street cred than,
00:19:59
Zak
You're right, he didn't say... He didn't say, am the best manager in Europe, man for man.
00:20:06
Oscar
well, exactly.
00:20:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah
00:20:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't have to be here.
00:20:07
Zak
yeah
00:20:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
I could have gone and married a Welsh PE teacher.
00:20:11
Oscar
Yeah.
00:20:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okey-doke.
00:20:12
Zak
What
00:20:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
Well, that leads us quite nicely into our second break. And afterwards, we'll be coming back with some score predictions and how we're going to get on.

Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay, so we are back. Zach, has our chat cheered you up, put you in a more optimistic mood, or are you still striving for a nil-nil?
00:20:56
Zak
To be clear, I'm not striving for for a 0-0. You're asking me for a prediction. and And I still think that that is an optimistic outcome because we consistently concede and we can't score for Toffy. So if the idea of us and not actually conceding, I think is actually happier than you think it is.
00:21:14
Zak
But I don't don't see it as like... I i just don't see us getting goals at the moment. We can't seem to manage to find them really anywhere. unless they're accidental.
00:21:25
Zak
And I'm just, I think, that but also if we show a solid defensive performance, that for me is a positive. At the moment, I will take us getting a nil-nil draw over losing 4-3, where we've managed to score three goals, but it means nothing.
00:21:42
Zak
You know, solid defensive performance with the way that things are, in my opinion, is more important than a solid scoring performance. So to be clear, as much as you're depressed by the nil-nil suggestion, I don't necessarily see it as a super negative result, especially given the state of our season.
00:22:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay. How about you, Oscar? How do you think it's going to play out?
00:22:09
Oscar
I've gone for a three one win. I understand what you're saying about not a scoring goals.
00:22:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay.
00:22:17
Oscar
And I do agree. i don't think it's going to be a 3-1 comfortable win. I think it's going to be a 2-1 cagey affair. I think we'll score first. i think I think it will be a Suleymane.
00:22:32
Oscar
And then I think they'll equalise. And I think it will be cagey. And then I think about 70 minutes, tall pool goal. Tall pool winner, raise the roof. and it's going to be cagey and then wolves will throw the kitchen sink and then counter attack and we we kill the game off
00:22:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
okay
00:22:48
Oscar
stunned into silence i can see
00:22:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
I mean, no i I like to think of myself as the optimistic one of the show, but that feels like three things we haven't done this season is score consistently, bounce back after going behind, and counter-attack.
00:23:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
but
00:23:05
Zak
And two boosts for a severity. There's more things like that.
00:23:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
and
00:23:09
Oscar
Exactly. expect Expect the unexpected.
00:23:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'll tell you now that I will be... one of the happiest men in Southampton, if that is the case, that is for sure. Yeah.
00:23:20
Oscar
i just think we are, are we worse than we were when we played Wolves last time?
00:23:28
Oscar
We've been on a worse run, I guess, but we've played some good teams. I don't know. I think we're a bit better and I don't think Wolves are as good as they were last time and we should have beaten them that game. So, and they don't have Kunia now.
00:23:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
yeah
00:23:39
Oscar
So I'm taking the optimistic route.
00:23:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
I respect that and I love it.
00:23:42
Zak
i just I just don't think we know what's good anymore.
00:23:45
Oscar
Yeah, well, that's true.
00:23:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
but
00:23:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'm here for it. I love the optimism. I'm sticking to my guns with a 2-1 win. I don't see us scoring three at home and I still don't see us keeping a clean sheet, so it feels like the logical option.
00:24:00
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'd like Sulemana to get the winner because want to see Zach in a Saints shirt that's going to be made inevitably redundant at the end of the season.
00:24:10
Zak
Yeah.
00:24:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, no, that's... two Two of us back in a win. did see it coming. I'm happy about it.
00:24:19
Zak
To be fair, I'm not back at a loss, mate.
00:24:23
Global Sports Podcast Network
The nil-nil.
00:24:24
Oscar
this it's got to be This is the last chance for us to get, a I'd say, like a really positive result this season at home. So I'm going for it.
00:24:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah. I think that that's fair. I think it's going to be a tedious run-in, I think, is... where relegation comes sooner rather than later and the rest are going be tough.
00:24:42
Oscar
we've We've still got to play Leicester away, do we?
00:24:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:24:46
Oscar
think.
00:24:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:24:47
Oscar
And we've played Ipswich twice, haven't we?
00:24:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:24:49
Oscar
And yeah, so...
00:24:52
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then our last three games of the season Man City, the last ever game at Goodison Park, and then Arsenal at St Mary's.
00:25:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
So... Yeah...
00:25:05
Oscar
To be fair, if we can do something to stop Arsenal or just to disrupt them, that wouldd be nice. And we we do tend, I'm going to say this before we get beaten 6-0, but we do tend to be Arsenal's bogey team for one reason or another.
00:25:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
look, it's going to be a rubber match by that point. We're going to be, uh, back in like last relegation season where we had a four all draw with Liverpool in the most ridiculous day out of Addison Mary's in a long time.
00:25:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay. That is just about all we've got time for today. looking forward to it tomorrow, big win energy coming in. we will be back Monday to start the cycle of optimism again, one way or another.
