Hello! Welcome to Games Over Plastic, an agnostic gamers podcast. i don't know why I was struggling to say agnostic right there. I'm your host for this week, Hodge, joined, as always, by my lovely co-host, starting with Midnight. How are you doing, brother?
00:00:53
Speaker
Doing good, man. Doing good, you know. I got drilled out earlier. Pause. Went to the dentist. Had three fillings done. i always loved the dentist. ah doesn't I actually hate the dentist because I have. i Yeah, don't you remember that time you said pray for me going to the dentist and we're like, dude, you're you're have a I think I have a hereditary thing where I have what they call hot teeth. um I don't know if anyone else experiences this, but I have some teeth that are very resistant to numbing. So sometimes they have to numb up certain teeth like three, four or five times. And ah one of the three was like that. So like she numbed it up and she was drilling. It was fine for a little while. and then all of a sudden it started like hurting and throbbing. So she had to go in and numb it again. And then she drilled it and started throbbing and she had numb it again. ah
00:01:37
Speaker
The other two were fine though. Other two didn't feel anything. So it was great. um So yeah, some people just have hot teeth and I'm one of them. and And so that makes me a little bit more fearful because you never know like when it's going to start hurting. But ah it's all right, though. It didn't go too bad. Only took an hour and a half. And I feel way better now that it's done. So I'm happy to be here.
00:01:54
Speaker
You could have made up that whole concept of hot teeth and me and Hodge would believe you. It's real. It's real, though. The dentist told me about it. She actually said that it's actually more common in people who have like redheaded genes in their family. So, Hodge, maybe you don't have that, I guess, luckily.
00:02:08
Speaker
Do you go to the best place? I know that it is ah that I have read that redheads need, or like for some reason their genetics, you need more anesthesia to be put out. ah But yeah, I mean, I've only been put under once and I've never had a cavity, so I've never had any drilling in my mouth. So I don't know.
00:02:27
Speaker
um Maybe I have this. I don't know. But I've... always had decent teeths. so not I'm not a ginger, but you know, my aunt is a ginger and my dad has the hot teeth issue. And in my beard, I do have some red hairs a little bit here and there. So I don't know. Like I just, ah every now and then a tooth just is an asshole and doesn't want to get numb. And it's not a great time, but Hey, we live, we live. So I'm happy that you're part of kind of part of the ginger club. We are especially, yeah, we Yeah, on it's not a fun gene to have. Like you you want to just get numb and not feel anything and it's real easy, but sometimes it doesn't work that way. So yeah, that's fair. And then also, obviously, of course, I am joined by the goat, Sean Mason.
2020 in Gaming and Outlandish News
00:03:06
Speaker
How are you doing, brother?
00:03:07
Speaker
Doing great. Yeah. Back at it. Back and back and work. Ready to go. Ready to talk some games. This is I'm just spoiler. We going to be talking about 2020 and video gaming. Kind of a weird year 2020 in the real world. But yeah in in terms of video games, 2020 might be my favorite year of all time in terms of video games. It's it's up there. It was a great, great year for video games. And everyone had time to play them because everyone was stuck in inside. In the year 2000. was out, you know, clubbing and, uh, what, what country didn't do the lock? It was like Turkey that didn't do like any lockdown. A lot a lot of Nordic, uh,
00:03:45
Speaker
a lot of lot of nordic countries didn't do it. I was out there partying with them, you know, getting sick. It's I moved to Iowa because of COVID.
00:03:55
Speaker
But yeah, so this is episode 57. I'm wearing my Olin Kroos jersey in honor of it. And I was 57 in high school for football. So obviously, as a man, I am entitled or I am forced to use that number and everything, all of my usernames for the rest of eternity because That's just what men do is use their jersey number for everything. So 57 is my lucky number. So I'm happy to be here talking about some awesome games with y'all. As I guess before we get into the topic, just a little rundown of this is a weekly podcast now. So happy that we're doing that. We are recording early, though, so I apologize for us not covering the fact that Xbox shut down.
00:04:34
Speaker
and Sony shut down Naughty Dog, and Nintendo is going multi-platform. So all that news is sadly missed on this episode. And the Dreamcast 2 is coming out. The Dreamcast 2 is nasty. In a real note, though, High Guard did shut down.
Sean's Thrilling Bets and Fantasy Sports
00:04:48
Speaker
Did it really? Yeah, last day is March 12th.
00:04:51
Speaker
Wow. Yeah. i So just I set the over-under at two and a half months, and I took the under. So I i guess I cashed in. What a surprise, Sean winning a bet.
00:05:03
Speaker
I did say it was going to go the way of Concord, but just not as quickly. so This man, Sean's out here cashing in on Saudi Arabia basketball bets and shit. Speaking of that, i did I did cash in on a Saudi Arabia bet earlier earlier today. nice Actually, how much really won Saudi Arabia. It was awesome. yeah Crazy, real quick, real quick, they were down by five. The team I bet on, they were down by five with a minute left. i'm like, ah, I lost. That's $1,000. I'm never getting back. Then,
00:05:30
Speaker
They freaking hit a three with 30 seconds left. Then they foul the other team. the The other team misses two free throws. They hit a two with the buzzer to tie it up, send it to overtime, and then they just pull away in overtime. Oh, it was great. i was like I was like on the edge of my seat. I didn't want to leave. like I couldn't leave.
00:05:46
Speaker
Oh, was great. Dude, I don't know if those leagues have different rules because there was one time i bet the over on a game and it literally, the clock at the end of the quarter, at the end the fourth quarter, hit zero and it was like six under. So i was like, ah, crap, i I lost. But then they kept shooting free throws.
00:06:04
Speaker
No, the stream probably was an update on the time. Oh, okay. was going to say because they just kept hitting grass. That's what got to do with what I do. i have my I have my streams. I can find these games and I watch them.
00:06:15
Speaker
it's great I've never gotten to watch them, but it's because I used to always just do it during work where I would just bet random over-unders for five bucks. and Watch the yeah couple in the Australian basketball league, watch the jumping jacks play. i bet on them a lot. um I had to stretch betting on them a lot in like the December.
00:06:33
Speaker
it's It's great when you have something to watch for, like when you can just watch a bunch of sports because you got something riding on it. Oh, yeah. The best time I had when I was really big into fantasy baseball back in the day in like 2010, 2011. And I had MLB.TV, like the streaming package, and I was watching all the games. i was watching all of my pitchers and all that stuff. It was so fun. Who was on your team?
00:06:53
Speaker
Oh, I actually had an amazing pitching squad. I had Granke the year he won the Cy Young. That was 2009. That was 2009. Yeah, okay. Yeah. And then I had Verlander too that same year and he was killing it as well. um And I don't really remember most of the other people, but those two carried my, my bullpen, my pitch. Frankie was ridiculous that year. yeah Especially for the first two thirds of the season for sure.
00:07:15
Speaker
Was Verlander sticking it to Kate Upton yet? No, that was for Kate Upton. That was 2011 they started dating. But he was putting up great numbers, too. Like, he was putting almost Cy Young numbers, too. So I had two, like, super aces. Crazy that he started dating Kate Upton, and then 2011 was his best year he ever had. I mean, he was getting that grade you know?
00:07:34
Speaker
Yeah, getting that sloppy top. um But anyway, ah let's go out there and throw a complete game shutout, and I got something for you. which I can't stand Verlander.
00:07:45
Speaker
I don't watch baseball, so I care. yeah and Anyway, um so yeah, this week we are going to be so as if anyone is a longtime listener,
Podcast Structure and 2020's Top Games
00:07:56
Speaker
hopefully all of you are. We love you all. But ah we used we did episodes where we did three separate episodes so where we did our favorite game from each year through a decade. So we did our favorite from 90 90 to 99 2000 to and then to And we decided, well, since this podcast started in and that's kind of we do our you know game of the year at the end of each year.
00:08:18
Speaker
We're missing four years. So we decided since these last, you know, five years have been amazing in terms of game release, we should just dedicate an episode to because I just feel like we won't be doing the years justice just by doing like our favorite game of each year. There's because there's so many to discuss and we do more episodes. So we need to pad out the content. But yeah. But, uh, so we decided, all right, let's do that. So this week we are going to be doing our five favorite games from the year of of our Lord 2020. And, so yeah, you guys just want to hop right into it? Get into these games? Yeah, I'm ready to go, ready to roll. This was, uh, incredibly, uh, fun list to make given that, like I said earlier, 2020 in video games, one of my favorite years ever. I have some my all time favorite games on here, including, um,
00:09:08
Speaker
some two of my top five games of all time. so Yeah, I have some top ones too on here. Well, two of my honorable men. We'll get into it. We're going to get into it. We're just going to get into it. So before we get into it, I'm going to say, obviously we can do auto-munches at the end, but I'm going to just say it at the start because people will be ah asking questions otherwise. And Sean, you were right.
00:09:30
Speaker
I'm not going to have Hades on my list because it was initially released in into like beta or whatever in 2018. And it was only released on Switch and PC in 2020. And I didn't play it until it was released in 2021 on p s four or Xbox, because it went into Game Pass. So i even though it would be number one for me, I'm just not including it because of its weird release schedule. What an Xbox. I'm doing and I'm doing a US release-based game. So if the game came out, and let's say, in 2019 in Japan or overseas, I'm only doing US-based releases. I am too, I think.
00:10:05
Speaker
i think i'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure I stuck to US days. I'm looking at mine. Yes, they were all... Yes, they all came out in 2020 in America, so... All right. So let's get into it. Let's start off with you, Sean, because you
Favorite Games of 2020: Sackboy, Bugsnax, and More
00:10:19
Speaker
wrote your name first. So I didn't write the name. Midnight wrote the name. Oh, I did. I was being a little hands off that time. But Hodge, it's all right. I'll take the. I think I will save the best for last. So that's why I put me last.
00:10:34
Speaker
Well, I will say the reason why I thought you did it is because I remember at some point Midnight didn't know how to make the bra or like the graphs. oh i made table I made the table. he made that I know how to make a table. Let's be honest. I made the table, guys. Come on. We know Midnight's still using typewriters over there.
00:10:53
Speaker
Yeah, in 2020, I was a young 29 years old. i was I hadn't even hit 30 yet, which is crazy to think. I still haven't hit 30. ah You youngin'. You have your whole life of here. At the beginning of 2020, I was 23, and I turned 24 about halfway through.
00:11:12
Speaker
guys think I don't know how to make a table. That's crazy. I could have swore there was one time we're like, how do you do this? What's that? He didn't know how to do it. I'm telling you, there was one time he didn't know how to do it and I had to do it for him. Look though, I just made one, huh? Yeah. Yeah. Cause I think i showed you how to do it. There you go. show me i'm just I just figured out to go to insert. Remember when he used to email us the the links too? He didn't know he could just post it.
00:11:34
Speaker
Yeah. That was great. That was great. Yeah. That's funny. Yeah. We're picking on the kid who just had cavities filled. Yeah. Kick him when he's down.
00:11:44
Speaker
Kick him on his down for sure. All right. Well, Sean, get into, let's get into this. Bring us back up, Sean, with a great game. what you All right. Number five for me is I think the best platform. Well, the best first party platformer on a PlayStation console.
00:12:04
Speaker
So I'm not, obviously it's not Astro bot. I'm sorry. It is Sackboy's A Big Adventure. This game is a freaking banger. I love this game. So um for those of you don't know, Sackboy was the main character of LittleBigPlanet. And after the debacle that was LittleBigPlanet 3, I thought we would never see him again.
00:12:25
Speaker
ah Luckily, we got him. This was developed by Sumo Digital and published by Sony. Now, you know, PlayStation Studios. And this game was f freaking awesome. This was a long platformer, lot of levels, variety, ah so many so many different, like, so much to choose from. Four-player co-op. I played this whole game co-op with my buddy Truman. We got the Platinum Trophy. It took us about 68 hours. This is a very difficult Platinum to get. You have these like knitted night trials that are ridiculous.
00:12:53
Speaker
The music in this game is awesome, too. like each The way they incorporate the music into the levels, too. Where you'll be going and the music will kind of be playing with you. They had some... banger songs on here um Britney Spears toxic is in a level and like they didn't really tell you at all so like you'd be like playing level us and you're like is that toxic by Britney Spears playing or uh let's dance by um Who's that? It's not David Bowie. Yeah, that's David Bowie. Yeah. just No, Just Dance. Just Dance.
00:13:25
Speaker
Yeah. great Yeah. That's David Bowie. Yeah. But like songs like that. And they had um the um Houdini by Foster the People in the game. But like the overall, like the level design was awesome. And to get the platinum trophy, you have to like beat like every level without dying and collecting everything. And it was like, it was a really fun time. And there were so many levels. They added this, um this box, the main villain, his name was Vex. And he was like a creepy character. And it was a launch game for PS5. And I remember it was the first game I played on PS5. I freaking loved it.
00:13:57
Speaker
i played the crap out of it. me and Truman would always be playing it. And you could, they had costumes just like the original Little Big Planet. You could like decorate your character the way you wanted um using the Zoom Zoom shop. It was like awesome. I really, really love this game. It was like,
00:14:12
Speaker
an amazing world and a, and a, like a crazy plot where like, uh, that villain Vex was like ripping through and trying to destroy craft world. And it was super fun. And I, I really, really loved it. Unfortunately, I was hoping, love who I really want this game to do great. Let's get a sequel. It didn't really do that great. It sold like 1.2 million copies. That's it.
00:14:32
Speaker
Um, but yeah, I freaking loved it. And it had like a interesting, like there was like a narrator, like in regular little big planet, like a British narrator. And, um, yeah, it was great. Um, The best game to feature Sackboy.
00:14:45
Speaker
Ever. Better than LittleBigPlanet. And I like LittleBigPlanet. But yeah. Sackboy's a big adventure. i I completely agree with you that it is the best Sackboy game. I liked LittleBigPlanet 2, but i I remember it just kind of got a little whatever for me after a while. But Sackboy, yeah, um it was a blast. But I do remember thinking it was a little long in the tooth, but overall it was very fun. it was If it wasn't so long, I probably would have gone back and tried to 100% everything, but
00:15:17
Speaker
with how With how much there was to that game, i was just like, I beat it. I'm good. I kind of moved on. absolutely love it. That last boss fight, too, was awesome. It was like five different phases. The knitted night trials were f freaking amazing. so So much fun to do that. And you could like you could post your high score and like your friends would try to beat it it. was just an overall. It was just a romp. And I will argue to this day, if this was if this was a game that had Mario in it, it would have got like 95 Metacritic. It would have been it wouldve got like ninety five one course critic it would no bomb banger.
00:15:48
Speaker
No, just like the way the level designs were, I'm telling you. Because not every not every Nintendo game gets a bump. Because there are some bad Nintendo games. it Star Fox, Guard. Yeah, but if it's a capable game and it's Nintendo, it gets a bump.
00:15:59
Speaker
There's no such thing as a bump. Just look at, up please, look at the Pokemon Pokepedia. Actually, haven't even played that game. Is it good? It's not out yet. It's not out yet. But it's better than Resident Evil Requiem, apparently.
00:16:13
Speaker
yeah according to my I'm not of that in mind where if you if you take two two games and look at their score, that just means one game is better because it's so subjective. I know. I'm just messing with you.
00:16:24
Speaker
I agree. Scores are dumb. That's why we we like pizza. Exactly. We do like pizza. Pizza score. But yeah. So yeah, that's my number five. a sack Sack Boys, A Big Adventure. Good pick. great that wasn't not That was on my list, but it did not make my top five.
00:16:41
Speaker
Yeah, I didn't play it, of course, because, you know, i'm not a man Who wrote Sackboy's Big Adventure? Amy Hennig. No, no, no. Who wrote it in the doc? I did. Oh, well my gosh. You forgot the apostrophe S. Possessive. Let's go. Sackboy's.
00:16:57
Speaker
Well, at least I didn't say Sackboy's a big adventure like you said. It is a big adventure. Is it? Yeah. Fuck. I thought I got you there, but i apparently you were saying it. Damn it. Sean's always right. My bad. let me about out I know I'm always right.
00:17:11
Speaker
Except except for when you're wrong. It's actually there. That's technically what it is. But, um, all right.
00:17:21
Speaker
My number five, i know going to get a lot of crap for this one, but I don't care. I unapologetically love this game. All guys. No, it Bugsnax.
00:17:34
Speaker
i that's i great I actually loved this game. I played it again when it came to Game Pass, and then I played that like. island of big food or whatever expansion thing. ah i I adored this game. It's just like Pokemon snap, but with weird food animals and stuff. and And not on rails and not on rails and not on rails. Yeah, it's just an and then, you know, there's puzzles on like, how do I get this animal to come out so I can take its photo and all like, It's just, it's such a cozy, relaxing game. And obviously it's very, it's very child friendly. It's not like a, well, I guess there are some more adult themes to it. story's a little crazy too, a little creepy. But it's like ah it's, yeah, it's probably, it's one of those kind of like, uh,
00:18:18
Speaker
It's like one of those cartoons, not like South Park. Obviously, that's very explicit, but like one of those cartoons where you like you think it could be a kid's show, but then you watch. You're like, oh, this is this is pretty adult themed. So ah but it's it's just an absolute blast. I love playing it. I i really hope we get another one. i don't know how they make another one with kind of how the game ends, but i mean, it's.
00:18:39
Speaker
Anything's possible. You can do whatever, but it's, I just, I, yeah, I absolutely love this game and unapologetically. And right up there is ah I have a bunker because I just, I love that game. So, so yeah, bug snacks is my number five.
00:18:55
Speaker
That was one of my honorable mentions. I really like this game as well, Hodge. It was like a freaking fever dream to play. it was also made by Young Horses. They're the people have made Octodad, and you can totally see that from like oh i didn't the way it looks. Also, Hodge, video game developer based in Chicago.
00:19:11
Speaker
oh really? Yeah. not if work that yeah yeah I don't know anything about Bug Snacks, but ah I do know about Bug Fables. I'll be playing soon.
00:19:22
Speaker
ah yeah that was That came to console in 2020, but it was a 2019 game. It will be played by me this year. so but that very nice A little bit more about Bugsnax, though, real quick. I like loved the whole story, too. how it was like like The story was so... like i actually was like on my edge. of my like, I want to know more about this. like What's going on here? Yeah, yeah it's because it is like a mystery of like where did this person go and why are they on the island? and You kind of find out why. and The only...
00:19:51
Speaker
I don't even need to talk about it because it's just one of the stupid reactionary things. But it's it's just, yeah, it's a fantastic game and if if you ignore a couple little stupid things. But, yeah, I i i i do unironically suggest people play this game because it is such a blast. But, obviously, it's not for everyone. it's you know It's weird. So, I don't know. But, yeah, Bugsnax, number five.
00:20:18
Speaker
All right. Good stuff. All right. So for my number five here, there were some great games here. ah Some usual suspects for me. You know, some franchises that I talk about a lot. One of which is going to be mentioned right now.
00:20:32
Speaker
My number five is going to be Yakuza Like a Dragon. This game came out in 2020. 2020.
00:20:40
Speaker
Yeah, this was the first next gen game that I played on my Xbox Series X, the very first one. And, you know, it had ah upgraded graphics and blah, blah, blah. Looked and ran better. and That was, you know, upscaled 4K and stuff.
00:20:54
Speaker
It was pretty nice. It's a good game. I really like this game. This was the first time the franchise went to a turn based RPG system instead of the action one. Which is pretty cool. We got a new protagonist in this one instead of Kazuma Kiryu. We got the other guy, which forgetting his name right now because I haven't played it since 2020.
00:21:13
Speaker
It'll come back to me in a second, I'm sure. But this game is really sweet with all the mini games. They actually have like a Mario Kart mode in this where like you actually do kart racing in it, which is sweet. There's another mode where you like ride around and pick up a litter and stuff because you you start all homeless and you're getting money. There's a job system in this like old RPGs, like old Final Fantasy and stuff. But in the job system, you actually go to like a ah you like one of those hiring centers or whatever and like apply like in there for a job. And that's how you get to do a job. That's pretty sweet, Yeah. And yeah the story was pretty good. it was It's pretty awesome, man.
00:21:46
Speaker
um So, yeah, I really like this game. I am excited to get into the later games, of course. They also had like this really awesome like business empire thing where you take over this business and then you have to grow it up to the number one company in the land. And you have like these little ah shareholder meetings where you like do like objection and you like have to shut people down when they're trying to sabotage you and stuff. It's pretty sweet, man. A lot of stuff to do in it. Let's see, Yakuza, like a dragon.
00:22:15
Speaker
<unk>agonist Why am I not remembering his name? is it yeah on he i was would say yeah yeah I don't why I was forgetting my boy Ichiban, because I've only played one game with him. and That's why. But he's a great he's a good pro protagonist. um for anagonist He's almost as good as ah almost as good as Kiryu. And maybe with more games, he might even be just as good. He's more fun. He's like a big nerd, a big weeb. Like he pictures his battles like he's in a Dragon Quest game. It's pretty cool. But yeah, I like and I recommend this game to people.
00:22:44
Speaker
And there you go. Yakuza like a dragon. Nice. Yeah, this is one of those series that I've never been able to. I mean, I've talked about I've never been able to just because it's so daunting to see how many games are in the Yakuza series now that I'm just like, i there's no way I'm ever catching up. Like, I know they're not like that. I know they're not like the longest games, but I was just like.
00:23:07
Speaker
There's just too many at this point. i don't know what's going on. If you ever really wanted to just experience a Yakuza-like game, um I would recommend that you just go play Judgment. It's their spinoff. um It has nothing to do with the actual Yakuza story. You don't have to know anything about the Yakuza. It's a spinoff.
00:23:23
Speaker
um But it's in the same city. It's in the same world, same developer. But you play as like an undercover detective, former lawyer, and has an awesome story and really fun gameplay. And it's an awesome game.
00:23:34
Speaker
And it's also, it's like 20 hours. You can play it on easy. It's it's cool. it's ah It's fun. I do like playing games on easy. But yeah, check out the trailer for that one. It was on PS4. And I think it might even be in a subscription by now. It might be, who knows. But that's a good one. And you you don't need any prior knowledge, so.
00:23:53
Speaker
nice yeah i've been i've been one like i really want to play this game and people tell me just jump in and play this one like because it's a new protagonist like i really want to because it's right up my alley it's that turn-based combat i love that it imagines it like the dragon quest i love all the little like like you described all the little mini game side stuff like that is so cool uh they even like you you were talking about that court section like the objection that reminds me of like um Ace Attorney? going to say Ace Attorney. You can definitely tell that they were definitely inspired by so many of like these Japanese games. That's so cool, though. um I really want to try this. Yeah, it's good.
00:24:28
Speaker
i You know, i like Yakuza. It's dumb fun. Oh, yeah. But the the stories are usually actually like really like deep and serious. But there's just tons of dumb fun around it. Yeah, I remember seeing that. like I always thought that these games were kind of like the... um Oh, what are they called? The Saints Row games where they were just like 100% goofy because the first thing I ever saw about a Yakuza game was the diaper people in whichever game that's in. yeah Like, and so I just really thought it was just some weird like joke of a game. And then people like, no, the story is actually really good and really serious. i like, oh, okay.
00:25:06
Speaker
and yeah Yeah, like the judgment one, the judgment story, you're like you're solving like a pretty intense like murder mystery and like it ties to his past when he was a lawyer and it's it's really a good story. Actually, I really like that game. I do recommend it.
00:25:19
Speaker
and So if you ever have some spare time and you want to try a game in that universe. Yeah, I mean, that would be definitely a bad like I'm not a like again. Well, especially that I'm not against, but the Yakuza game is probably not so much just because, again, those are just so, so many. daunting Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't be and you know opposed to it.
00:25:38
Speaker
And it also has it does have English dub and actually really fantastic English dub. Like the dude who plays the main character did an awesome job, too. So like you don't even have to read like subtitles and stuff if you don't want.
00:25:49
Speaker
Nice. and In judgment. Nice. But yeah, that was my five. Good pick. Great pick. I totally forgot that a 2020 game. m Yeah, it was literally the first next-gen game I played on the new consoles, so that was cool.
00:26:05
Speaker
All right. All right, well, next up for me, my number four game is It's The Last of Us Part 2. I had to say it. But because we've talked about it so much, I'm not going to talk about it.
00:26:18
Speaker
I'm going to talk about one of my honorable mentions. I'm going to go into detail about my honorable mentions. So it is The Last of Us Part 2, but I'm going to talk about an honorable mention that deserves some talking points. We've talked to world, Sean. We just live in it. Go for it. yeah So, one of my big honorable mentions is Eichenfeld. It is... I've talked about it ah briefly on here. It is ah a grid-based RPG set in like a 16-bit art style, but it's set in like a like a a magical world that you go to a school and it's like Hogwarts.
00:26:52
Speaker
And you are doing magic And you are there because something happened to your sister and you were trying to figure it out, but you get a party and there's villains and it's just overall, it's like a super fun game. And the soundtrack is fricking insane. Like it is so good. Um,
00:27:11
Speaker
You learn different spells, there's different bosses. um It's super fun, and the writing is like on point. like it is It's like as a perfect um the perfect combination of like seriousness, but there's also some humor in there, too. um You can definitely tell they were inspired by some Harry Potter tropes, but they were also inspired by like that grid-based combat from ah those early Japanese-style RPGs.
00:27:36
Speaker
um There's an item system in the game too. Each character has their own type of um special abilities. But yeah, it's like an it' awesome. Like I really, really like this game and I really was hoping that they'd make a sequel. Unfortunately, they announced that they were making a sequel, but that was like five years ago around this time and they have not said anything since, which is unfortunate. But yeah, it's super fun. The magical school is called Eichenfell. So it's like awesome.
00:28:04
Speaker
Yeah. Okay. Yeah, the art style kind of gives me a little bit of like Earthbound kind of vibes to it.
00:28:15
Speaker
The yeah final song during the last boss fight is a freaking banger, too. I listen to that all the time after I played this game. I was like obsessed with it. yeah Very nice. Yeah, I'm looking at... but I like the the graphics, but the...
00:28:33
Speaker
I don't know, like the character designs and stuff, I'm a little not sold on. but Well, they're trying to, they're they're like mad, they're in the wizarding school, so they're like all like kind of weird. Yeah.
00:28:45
Speaker
Yeah, but that's, ow. Deep story too. It's a very deep story too. Okay. Yeah. Well, I'm happy you enjoyed, I'm happy you enjoyed Last of Us Part 2.
00:28:57
Speaker
I do agree, The Last of Us Part 2 is excellent. Yeah, I can't believe it's like a nice indie game where they go to a wizarding school and they they cast spells and they turn-based combat. It's great. That's nice.
00:29:09
Speaker
that That is a Sean game there. I love that you play like these awesome, like kind of niche niche games. Oh, I discovered these crazy. I always look. So what I always do is I go on the PSN store or the Switch store and I like just look at the RPG section and then I sort by like just released because there's like a million released a day. And I look at these crappy, crappy ones that are like $5 made by like ah these weird developers. And I always look at them and I'm like, maybe I'll play that. And then sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
00:29:36
Speaker
But I can fail. That was a banger. so All right. I got nothing else. Yeah. i've died I would appreciate it.
The Rise and Fall of 'Fall Guys'
00:29:51
Speaker
So my number four was a game mentioned before. And yes, it is Fall Guys. ah This came out. i remember it launched directly into PlayStation Plus, which was very smart of them because it was able to open the door.
00:30:06
Speaker
ah Sadly, this game did not live as long as it should. I mean, it's still alive. Me my friends still hop into it occasionally, but there is no support for this game anymore. It is basically just out there, barely living.
00:30:19
Speaker
um But when it launched, it was a huge hit, obviously, on the internet. And then it was quickly surpassed by Among Us, which is a far worse game. ah I mean, I didn't mind Among Us, but it's Fall Guys. yeah Fall Guys is a genuinely amazing game. So I was kind of bummed that it lived and died so quickly.
00:30:40
Speaker
But like there's more support for Fall Guys. They added it because since it's Epic bought it, Metatonic, I think is what the company's called. And Epic bought them. And so there's a bunch of Fall Guys stuff in Fortnite. And I swear that has more support than the actual game of Fall Guys. And it's just like, what's going on? But this game was such a blast. I remember it was only on PlayStation for a while. So during like COVID or whatever, a lot of my friends didn't have PlayStations. So anytime I'd go hang out with them, I would bring my PS4 just so we could all play it together. Because like we would just take turns, we make drinking games out of it and stuff, but like, it's such a blast. And then finally it came to Xbox. And then i have, and thankfully you can connect your Epic account. So once I was able to switch it over to like, I play all my live service games on Xbox, just because I like the elite controller the best. And I think Xbox live is better than,
00:31:33
Speaker
ah PlayStation Plus. but i i So I played it on that, but it was nice because I was able to bring everything over. But just playing this game we yeah with friends is when you get a whole squad together. and you're It's hilarious because it's very derpy the way your little bean man moves. So it's really funny to watch people like miss jumps or just just mess up. And it's just a hysterical game to play with with friends. So number four for me, Fall Guys.
00:32:01
Speaker
God. I remember how big this game was when it first came out because it was right before like school started back up in 2020, like right before I went back. And I remember like a lot of my students were like loving it. Like, oh, my God, this Fall Guys game is awesome. I like love it. And then hod you were so right. Then Among Us took over and everyone was playing Among Yeah, yeah this game this game did not have the life that it deserved. it It deserved to be one of those games that was like a fun party game forever. I'm looking at the Steam charts right now. Right now, there's 554 people playing it on Steam. The 24-hour peak was 691. Now, this is compared to the all-time peak, which was five and a half years ago, which was right around when it launched. 172,213.
00:32:47
Speaker
yeah and that's And that's just Steam because this game launched into PS Plus because, well, I think... It might've been PC at the same time as PlayStation. It was PC at the same time. It PC. Okay. Cause I remember also when this game launched, it didn't have party mode. It didn't have squads. It was just a solo game. yeah So yeah. So you would literally have to just try and get into the same game as your friends. It was, but eventually they added parties and squads and stuff. So this, I think also that's on top of it. I think if it launched with squads, it would have done a lot better. Cause I actually just remembered that I'd forgotten that, that, Because I remember I tried playing with my brother and we had to like really struggle to get into a game together. because we basically had to just like look for a game at the exact same time and hope we'd get one of those things. Yeah. So that's pretty. So I forgot about that. That's for another reason why i probably killed the game. Cause yeah, they kind of botched that part of it, but yeah, Yeah, this it was I just absolutely love this game. It's one of those games where like me and my friends will play, you know, these intense survival type games like Fortnite whatever, where you're just trying to survive. Like you have to work really hard to survive. And then we'll have to all stress out. Like, let's just play some Fall Guys cool down. And we go in because it's I mean, it is a battle royale game. You have to survive to the end and win the crown. But it's such a funny, goofy game that it doesn't.
00:34:04
Speaker
you know, it, it doesn't, it's not like stressful to try and win. It's just a fun, a goofy game. So yeah. Fall guys, my number four. Very nice. Okay.
00:34:17
Speaker
ah Yeah. I always, I kind of wanted to play this game, but for some reason I just never did. It always looked really fun and interesting. And I was going to join like Hodge and the crew and I don't know, it just never materialized for some reason, yeah but always looked really cool. um So yeah. Shout out to fall guys.
00:34:32
Speaker
um All right. So my number five, real quick, I actually just made an edit. ah um So I'm just going to give a quick honorable mention to what was going to be my number four, but is not going to be my number four now because I decided to tax it and take it out. I was going to put my number four game of all time.
00:34:54
Speaker
in the number four spot right now. um And that is Cyberpunk 2077. Okay. But because of the buggy ass launch, I was going to tax it and put it at number four. Cat's pissed off about the launch.
00:35:07
Speaker
But I decided that I'm just going to tax it completely and take it off the list because the launch was so busted. It's out. I love the game, but I didn't play this game in 2020. I played this game in 2021, like late 2021 when the next gen update came out. That's when I played it. That to me, 2021 game as well, because like, I feel like that was like the beta launch 2020. Yeah. So cyberpunk 2077, amazing game, but nope, you've been bounced from the list. You are now an honorable mention, sir. Sorry. ah Number four is now final fantasy seven remake.
Final Fantasy VII Remake: A Deep Dive
00:35:40
Speaker
Can't go wrong with that. Amazing game. I don't know if the Eufy DLC Intergrade came out in 2020 or not. 2021. It was 21. It would have been better if it did, but ah Final Fantasy VII Remake was awesome.
00:35:52
Speaker
Amazing story, of course. Great characters. I really loved playing with Barrett. In the original game, he was my main dude, just unloading with that with with that machine gun arm, you know, just blasting away on fools. Great game, great story, great start to an amazing trilogy. And as we said last week, and as we will continue to say, Square, give us part three right now.
00:36:16
Speaker
Oh, yeah. That's it. Yeah, that is a phenomenal pick. I actually didn't play it until Integrate because when it launched, I was like, I'll just wait for it to come to Xbox. And they decided to wait four years to do that, five years. So, it's crazy yeah, when they announced ah Integrate, that's when I was like, all right, screw it. I'll finally hop in and and play it. And that's obviously that's when it brought the PS5 upgrade to the game, which made it way better and everything. So, yeah, Final Fantasy remake is phenomenal.
00:36:48
Speaker
It is not as good as Rebirth, but it is good. I'm to hold my peace until later. Yeah. Shocker. Guys, shocker. I have a Final Fantasy game on my list. shock That's crazy. That is crazy.
00:37:03
Speaker
I know. All right, Sean. Number three, then. All right. Well, this is not a Final Fantasy game. This is not a Final Fantasy game. This is, oh, it is a Japanese role-playing game, though. Another shocker right there. It it is Trails of Cold Steel 4. This is a 2020 game released in the U.S. in 2020. It was 2018 in Japan.
00:37:25
Speaker
Luckily, now we're getting the day and date releases, which is good. Cold Steel 4, it was the end of the Cold Steel arc. And at the time it was like, this is like huge, huge, huge deal. i remember waiting for this game being like, trying to avoid any type of spoiler online because it had been out in Japan already for like a year and a half. And I was like, I cannot be spoiled for this game. And it it it delivered. It was an insanely good finish to that Cold Steel arc. it the the The class... um class seven you know combining class the new class seven and the old class seven um it was just super good i mean it was a conclusion to what at the time i was thinking oh my gosh it's going to be like the end of the series the end of trails but obviously it wasn't we've gotten many more games since then um but this was like this really showed you the growth of a lot of the characters um from trails of cold steel one to now
00:38:19
Speaker
um And some of the stuff they set up back in Cold Steel 1 that, like, you thought it was, like, a little thing, they they followed through in Cold Steel 4. And Cold Steel 4 is regarded as having one of the best soundtracks of all the Trails games, and that is true. It is a banger soundtrack. And this is when things get, like, the Cold Steel series is pretty crazy, but Cold Steel 4 takes it to, like, a whole other level. Like, things are just insane. Um, it's awesome. Combat's great. Um, the thing I like about cold steel for, uh, it's not my favorite of the cold steel games, but, um, like I said, it was the conclusion of that cold steel arc. And overall, it was just a great way to end that four game series. And, I really liked how they melded the, like I said, the old class seven with new class seven. So yeah, it was great. Cold steel for shout out to reen, my boy and Laura.
00:39:10
Speaker
shit Oh, shit. Dude, what is this? What is this, Nokia? on, what's this? Oh, Meatball, what's up?
00:39:19
Speaker
Oh, Meatball, what? I'm recording. Oh, I should play Cold Steel right now? No! Yeah, I'm gonna do it. I'll do it for you,
00:39:28
Speaker
Sorry about that. Meatball just called. He said I should jump on Cold Steel right now. so or Yo, yo, yo, yo. That was Meatball, yeah. Hang on, hang on, hang I'm getting a call now. Hang on. Yeah. Yeah.
00:39:39
Speaker
Yeah. right. ill I'll tell him. I'll let him know. I'll let him know. that was um That was Ball Meat. He told me he told me to he told you to play ah Trails in the Sky second chapter right now. Really?
00:39:54
Speaker
You want to go with that name? Ball Meat? Ball Meat, okay. Yeah. I don't know if I want to listen to a guy named ball meat though.
00:40:05
Speaker
I can think of much, much, much, much worse. You know, you know what I could do instead of playing trails of cold steel, I could play the spinoff game, which is supposed to be very similar to trails of cold steel, Tokyo Xanadu EX.
00:40:21
Speaker
What? And on that note, we are going to move on to Hodge's number three. Wow. No love for Falcon games. Okay. Oh, no. There were many good Falcon games, but there were also not some good ones.
00:40:35
Speaker
All right. Hodge, what's your threat? My numero trace is a game we've already talked about, and that is Final Fantasy VII Remake. ah Yeah, I mean, I guess I am cheating in a little bit since I didn't play until Integrate, but... i don't care. ah This game was so, so, so, so good that, again, not as good as Rebirth because Rebirth is game of the year 2024, baby. um But yeah, that's just why this is not number one on this on my list. It is number three. But I was blown away with this game. Obviously, i love the OG game. And when they announced a remake,
00:41:12
Speaker
ah When they announced that it was only going to be Midgar, we were like, what? That's like the first, what, two hours of the game? And they're going to make a 40-hour game out of it? That's crazy. But it worked.
00:41:24
Speaker
It was so good. I absolutely love this game. Obviously, i know going to be talking about it a little more, so I guess I don't need to talk about it too much because we'll talk about it a third time coming up. so So that's all I got to say. Final Fantasy VII Remake is my number three.
00:41:37
Speaker
Yep. My number three is another PlayStation game. Look at this. Sony ponies over here. Another PlayStation game here from midnight. Can you guess what it is? 2020 PlayStation game? Miles Morales.
00:41:51
Speaker
milesal part two Miles Spider-Man Miles Morales. That's right, Sean Mason. Good pick. My favorite of the Spider-Man trilogy is Miles Morales.
00:42:02
Speaker
I love that tight 8-10 hour run time. I thought the story was great. Fun combat. Fun traversal. The first next-gen game. It was for Spider-Man anyway. It was gorgeous. Still gorgeous. And you're both gorgeous as well.
00:42:16
Speaker
What else is there to say? Great game. We've talked about it before. I don't need to beat the dead horse. Go play Miles Morales if you haven't yet. It's great. I really liked Miles Morales a lot. I really liked Miles as a character. and I think they did they they do him justice in these games. I think he did they do a phenomenal job with him as a character. I love just swinging around. um You know, um it's Brooklyn, right? No, no, it's Harlem.
00:42:41
Speaker
Harlem. Yes, Harlem. Why did I say Brooklyn? I almost said the Bronx. I love that. I love that whole story. I thought the story was really good, too. It gave you a little bit more on that. But yeah, it was overall it was a fun time. Yeah, i got the Platinum. Midnight, you get the Platinum in it?
00:42:56
Speaker
ah I don't remember. me look. I'm just asking because I know there was ah one one criticism was you had to beat it twice. and the other spot Yeah, you had to beat New Game Plus to get the Platinum. Yeah, and the other Slider Bank games you don't have to.
00:43:08
Speaker
Yeah, you don't have to in the other ones. So I remember that was a criticism. But I mean... Well, I thought it was really cool. Well, to be fair, I did get the Platinum. If you mainline the new Game Plus, it takes you literally two and a half hours to beat the game because you're not doing side content stuff. It's very quick to beat the new Game Plus because, yeah, I did it. I remember seeing that. I was like Really? But then I was like, if I powered through the the story and, you know, skip some of the cut scenes or whatever, it's it's a very, very quick new game. Plus, so, yeah, I was not looking for platinums in 2020. So I didn't get that one. I might go back one day and do it, though.
00:43:44
Speaker
Yeah, it's yeah, this game is absolutely phenomenal. I do agree. Well, of the two I've played, I still haven't played Spider-Man 2. This is definitely better. I mean, i like the plot of the Spider-Man game better, but Miles Morales is gameplay because it adds all his other powers that he has, which are phenomenal. So even though the plot, again, isn't bad, it's just I like, obviously, the first one better. But yeah, it's phenomenal choice, phenomenal game. I completely agree with it. It barely it barely missed my list. I did. But also, this game was... ah I think it was a PS5 launch game or shortly after. might have been launched. Okay, and yeah, this the this game ran so smooth on the PS5. It was yeah so good. Do you guys remember the reveal trailer? I remember the reveal trailer thinking, oh my gosh, this game looks f freaking incredible. like that It starts out with him and he has the electric power and it's like...
00:44:38
Speaker
And I was like, what is going on right now? It was just freaking awesome. funny it Funny, they announced this and Wolverines the same time. Oh, yeah. Wolverines coming out this year, though, right? Yes, it is. i September 19th or something. 15th. 15th, yeah. 15th, yeah. Good things come to those who wait.
00:44:58
Speaker
Yes, sir. Yeah, phenomenal game. Phenomenal choice. Yeah, really awesome pick. I really like that. Yeah, great pick. Yeah, me too. Thank you. you're welcome all right sean number two all right my number two is a little game that this is this is the best platformer on ps4 the best platformer on ps4 that is crash bandicoot 4 it's about time uh game's freaking phenomenal like the best crash bandicoot game i cannot believe they actually did it they gave us the proper crash bandicoot 4 and i love how they made it like a little jab at all the other crash games like Yeah, this is the real Crash 4. None of that Wrath of Cortex, even though I really like those games, and Twin Sanity, and Mind Over Mutant, and um Wrath of the Titans. Even though those are Crash games, they're not they're not good. I know that they're not good, even though I like them. But Crash Pretty Good 4 was...
00:45:51
Speaker
freaking incredible there were so many levels uh it was extremely difficult harping back to the old crash games um the level does the variety in levels is awesome you get all the different mask power-ups which are super cool um you had these um flashback tapes which were like um these little like mini levels where you played as crash or coco depending on what it was and it was like the the origins of crash like how they were creating him in the lab like him and uh neocortex and um neo brio and if they'd be talking on like a over the pa system as you're doing the levels and it would show like 1995 in the background like that would be like it would say like you know like old camcorders how like in the the bottom right or the bottom left they would have like the date in the year like when you're playing these tapes it would say like september 1st 1995 because like you're like running through it was super cool um
00:46:44
Speaker
So many cool levels. ah you could There was ah Dingo Dial levels too, and that was super funny. There was one level like themed after like New Orleans, and it was like Mardi Gras almost. It was super fun. That was an extremely long level. I remember that was the first level like I was like, I don't know if I'm go be able to be to this to get the platinum. Because to get the platinum in this game, you have to beat you have to literally get 107%, which is like beating every level, getting everything without dying in one run.
00:47:08
Speaker
And it was awesome. And I did it. I was the fifth person to get the platinum trophy on Crash Bandicoot 4. It was the fifth person ever. It took me freaking like 123 hours, but I did it in like a span of like six days. um I was also the second person to get 100% achievements on Xbox.
00:47:27
Speaker
Very nice. Wow. Look at that. I'm glad you said Crash Bandicoot because if you would have said Astro Bot, I was going to have a Sean Crash Out moment. Well, that was 2024 anyway. No, that well, the demo one. Oh, the demo one? No, no, no. Crash Mini Goot 4 is freaking amazing. Shout out to the prehistoric world, too. That was super cool. And then at the end of the game, you go to like a future world, and there's a whole world based around food.
00:47:52
Speaker
And I don't know why, but a lot of developers are doing that now, based in whole worlds around food. It's really cool. But yeah, Crash Mini Goot 4. It's about time. I love it. And the ending is not... The 107% ending is non-canon. Crash does not talk.
00:48:08
Speaker
Who developed this game? ah Is it a Toys for Bob? Yes, Toys for Bob. No. Did they?
00:48:18
Speaker
cannot remember. Yeah, it was Toys for Bob. Yeah, it was Toys for Bob. Are they the original Crash dev? No, that's Naughty Dog. was okay Okay. All right, so then it's not canon then.
00:48:30
Speaker
No, it is. They they they continue the series. This is like the actual Crash 4. No, but I'm saying like the the talking part is not in canon. Oh, yeah. No, they they made it. It was not the original creator. yeah It was a joke. It was the ending's a joke. Like, it doesn't actually it doesn't actually happen.
00:48:48
Speaker
Oh, OK. Yeah, this game, I I like Crash, but i i remember hearing how hard this one was. That's the only reason I haven't hopped into it. I do own it. I'm pretty sure. at least so Well, I know it's on Game Pass, but um yeah, I just haven't gotten around.
00:49:05
Speaker
to playing it and i probably should but so i know i won't get the platinum because i know how hard that is it would be just a i'm gonna complete this game and move on kind of game but i love i do i do love i did love the original trilogy so i i need to get to this eventually this is like a love letter to that original trilogy too Yeah, and I love the name because it's Crash Bandicoot 4. It's about ti ah about time because it's like it's about time, quote unquote, in the game. But it's also it's about time we got this game. ah Yeah. So its such a such a great name. for We're not going to acknowledge all the other Crash games. Yeah, exactly. now it is
00:49:41
Speaker
Which is what they need to do with Spyro. We need a Spyro 4 and get rid of all the other ones. Wait, you didn't like Spyro, a hero's tale? I don't even I played part of one of the other ones. it the Dragon? Enter the. um Well, I do the Dragonfly is number three. um No, number three is year. That's year. The dragon. Enter the Dragonfly was that PS2 one. That's right. Yeah. The first it was the first non insomniac one.
00:50:07
Speaker
Yeah, and it wasn't good. um I think that is the one that I i tried playing. The Hero's Tale was horrendous. It was so bad. Yeah, i don't think I even played that. So bad. The original, I that's i love that Spyro trilogy so much. I saw it was like who was on sale on Switch, and even though I own it on PlayStation and Xbox, I was debating buying it just so play it again on Switch. My sister is just like you with Spyro. She owns it on Switch, and I looked at her playtime. It's like 600 and something hours.
00:50:36
Speaker
She just plays it all the time. So good. It's so good. i Hop it up. I'm just open up. I love that trilogy. It's amazing. You know... completely random, but they had to use so much numbing on this one tooth down here that now two and a half hours later, like my lip is still completely numb. I just took a sip of coffee and it started like dripping down my mouth. I'm a mess. Anyway, shout out to crash.
00:51:04
Speaker
Yeah, I'll get to this I will get to this eventually. But I i need Spyro 4. That's all I need. Spyro 4, it's about time. spot yeah yeah Exactly.
00:51:17
Speaker
All right. My number two, let me pull it up, is... think I know what is. Yeah. It is... know it's going to be on Midnight's List, probably. And that is Ghost of Tsushima.
Ghost of Tsushima: A Masterpiece
00:51:32
Speaker
I absolutely adore this game. I remember people kind of panicking about it because they didn't show too much of it before it came out. And then it was also launching near the last of us. So everyone's like, they're putting it out to die. This game is bad. And then it comes out and it's the best Assassin's Creed game ever made. And it's just an absolutely gorgeous game on top of it. I remember, and arm remember because I played on the PS4 pro, uh,
00:52:01
Speaker
ah And I just remember being like, oh, my God, this game is unbelievable because I got the platinum on that. And then I played the director's cut with the Iki Island on PS5 and they made it look even better. But even on PS5 or PS4, this game was unbelievably gorgeous. And ah even though Yote improves on the gameplay, I think this game had a more memorable ah like plot and characters and stuff. ah at So I kind of like this one a little better, but Yotei, it does improve the gameplay for sure. And it's obviously way more gorgeous because that is a PS5 game. But ah but yeah, Ghost of Tsushima, I absolutely love this game. It also made more sense that you switch stances, not weapons. But but ah yeah, so the the tale of... ah
00:52:48
Speaker
um I just blanked on his fricking name. Why? Jin Sakai. Jin Sakai. Yeah. I don't know why I just blank. I was about to say it and then it just left my mind, but oh i thought you were talking about the teachers like sensei Ishikawa. Oh, I mean, yeah. Every character. Like I remember I loved doing all like this. um Whenever you saw their face on the map, you knew it was one of their stories. Like, oh yeah, I get to go hang out with them again. And yeah. And then ah I remember Sora.
00:53:13
Speaker
Sora. Yep. Sora. Cause obviously I named my horse Sora because I'm a kingdom hearts nerd. But yeah, Ghost of Tsushima, this game, i was so happy that it came out and just blew ah everyone's like expectations out of the water. It was, oh, this game was so, so good. And just like how artistically beautiful it was, because i remember, of course, the usual suspects were like, ah they're they're doing Japanese culture whatever. Dude, you sound like George Lucas.
00:53:43
Speaker
do i yes star wars he walks um but people but uh yeah i i i can't say enough good things about this game i i absolutely love it i earned yeah again i earned the platinum twice that's how much i loved this game it was it was so good and i have the otay plat so i'm not gonna go back to that one but except for maybe legends but Sadly, I never played Legends on Tsushima. I always wanted to, but back back when this game launched, I didn't have many friends on PlayStation because all my friends were on Xbox and I wasn't really that tight with everyone on Discord yet. It was probably around end of 2020, early 2021 that I really started talking with Discord people. So... I didn't have many PlayStation friends, so I just never, never played it. But I do want to play Legends Yotei. But yeah. Anyway, Tsushima. Love it. So that's my number two.
00:54:35
Speaker
Sean, you got thoughts? Yeah, it was an honorable mention for me. Real quick, I'm going put... So this, for the video listeners, this is a spoiler hat. So if you have not played it yet, um you can... um So I have the double cap on for spoilers. So when you can mute it... I'll put a graphic up too. Yeah. Well, I like to like the spoiler hat too. And ah when I take the spoiler hat off or the graphic goes away...
00:54:57
Speaker
um You know you can unmute. um And listeners, audio listeners, I'll give you a nice little five seconds here. or One, two, three, four, five.
00:55:09
Speaker
I probably should have told him when to come back. I didn't. Oh, well. um Well, you won't know. Did you guys kill Sensei? Kill your uncle, you mean? Yeah, that's what I meant. you kill your uncle? spared him both times because that's the right thing to do. That's what Jin would do.
00:55:25
Speaker
I think I spared him. ah okay Honestly, it's been so long. but i yeah I always take the good guy path in games. Even though these people don't exist, I always feel bad.
00:55:37
Speaker
like yeah killing Killing him is not the right moral decision for Jyn, in my opinion. That's not what he would do as the character. And his uncle was not a bad guy at all.
00:55:48
Speaker
He was just a slave to the system, and he was being ordered by the Shogun. He didn't want to do it. yeah you know He took him in when his father died and raised him like a son. Even tried to adopt him as a son.
00:56:00
Speaker
You know what I mean? yeah Yeah. I'm pretty sure I spared him because again again, I'm always a do the right thing person in a game. I spared him. Yeah, I wouldn't kill him. Even the second time I played it, I still spared him. I have a hard time um doing stuff like that in games. I just have a really hard time. Yeah, like if he was a dick and deserved it, then maybe, but like he was a good guy.
00:56:24
Speaker
It's like it good uncle and father to you. Speaking of like the other video game series by Sucker Punch, like infamous, like you to get the Platinums, you have to do like the bad playthrough. I always struggle with that. Yeah, not not in Mass Effect. I didn't know. Well, it's like punching the reporter.
00:56:42
Speaker
Well, it's also like it's it brings me back to all the old Star Wars. Obviously, haven't played KOTOR, but like even in Jedi Outcast or Knights the Old or not. nice solar pu um Jedi Academy and stuff, they would have the good... Because you could do bad stuff to get the evil powers. And I always wanted the electric and stuff, but I didn't want to have to be bad to get them. And it was the same with The Force Unleashed. I never wanted to do the bad ending because I don't want to be a Sith. I don't know. actually remember seeing a study that they say like 85% or something of people do the good ending or do good routes in games. like...
00:57:21
Speaker
I'm like, well, it's nice to know people are good. Well, it's like that whole adage that like majority of the crimes done by like 1% of the population. Mm-hmm. yeah They just do it over and over again. yeah yeah Another spoilery thing that i want like for Ghost that I really loved, I really love the Sensei Ishikawa missions where like you're hunting down his former pupil Tomoe. And I love that mission where you actually meet her. Remember when you were like out in the snow and and you meet her? um And she's like acting like she's a hunter. and like That was actually pretty cool. You kind of get to know her a little bit and then she ends up but you let her go. And I really like when ah Ghost of... ah
00:57:59
Speaker
Ghost of what the hell? Yote came out when it first was revealed. I kind of thought that the female protagonist was going to be Tomoe. I thought that would be really cool, but it wasn't. So anyway.
00:58:10
Speaker
All right. Spoiler hats coming off. Yeah. One more thing. well Can I say one more thing about ghosts real quick? It's not a spoiler. um Yeah. I felt bad to like when this game came out, like you said, it came out about a month after T-Lo 2 and I was trying to play it and I tried for like three weeks and I could not do it. Like, I don't know why. i just wasn't in the mindset and I didn't play it again till PS5 2021. August 2021 is when I played it.
00:58:37
Speaker
Was it because T-Lo 2 was too good? or I don't really know to be honest. I just don't think I was in the mood for like that type of game right after I played it. don't know. i just I needed something that like, need like a good palate cleanser. Yeah, and then I played it in August 2021 and it freaking blew my mind. I played that and then I played Bioshock 1 and 2. Those are like three consecutive games and I was like, whoa this is insane.
00:58:58
Speaker
That's a good streak of games right there. It's a great step a a great stretch of environmental excellent storytelling. and Yeah, it was awesome. And immersion, yep.
00:59:09
Speaker
Alright, well funny enough, guys, my number two was also Ghost of Tsushima. Oh, wow! Wow! Who could saw that coming, huh? Well, you might have thought it was my number one, actually. You might That's actually what I i did actually think that. Yeah, so Ghost of Tsushima is incredible.
00:59:25
Speaker
<unk> We don't need to talk about this anymore. We've already talked about it. You know, Ghost of Tsushima is awesome, and ah we'll just leave it there. If you haven't played this game for some reason, yeah go play fix your life and go play it. Yeah, go over play it. The game's incredible. You can just subscribe to if you want. You can buy it. I'm sure it's cheap. Or you can just subscribe to PS Plus. It's in the catalog. also the director's cut The director's cut is in there.
00:59:49
Speaker
It's on Steam. It's on X... It's not on Xbox. What am I talking about? It's a PlayStation. Everything's an Xbox. No, everything is an Xbox, so it is on Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's true. But it's on Steam, and it's on PlayStation, and it's in PS Plus, the director's cut even, with the Icky Island, so ah go play it.
01:00:03
Speaker
I still need to play Icky Island. still haven't played it. It's pretty good. It's a little bit more challenging with the combat, but not too hard. like that, then. I will like that. Yeah. Yeah, it's good. um It's not nearly as good as the main story. You know, it's a DLC, but you'll have fun, though.
01:00:16
Speaker
Yes. All right, so that was my number two. And, Sean, your numero uno. My number one, I think you guys can guess it. It is Final Fantasy VII Remake.
01:00:27
Speaker
um You know, but a remake of my favorite game of all time. well When it was first announced, first of all, the original... Who was the original developer again? They, like, were terrible. I can't remember. i can It was so bad, though. It looked bad, and I was like, okay, this is going to be awful. And then they announced, oh, it's just going to be Midgar. And I was like, okay.
01:00:43
Speaker
But then I saw it, and I was like... This is freaking incredible. It literally made what I pictured as a kid when I was outside in my yard playing, pretending to be cloud, doing my, feet you know, as the longtime games over plastic listeners know, pretending to do turn-based combat as like taking turns. Nope, it's my turn. Nope, I got to go jump now, hit them, and then run back. This is what I pictured in my head that Midgar was, and they totally nailed it It looked gorgeous. It played. the The way they did the combat was outstanding. The way they represented all the characters, too, they fleshed them out more. Like in the original game, Biggs and Wedge barely speak. Jessie speaks twice all game. Now she has a freaking side quest. You go and you you meet her family.
01:01:29
Speaker
um Yeah. but now she's Now she's literally like in consideration of is it not Aerith or Tifa? It's Aerith, Tifa or
Game Expansions and Personal Solace
01:01:36
Speaker
Jessie. Exactly. Yeah. Actually, Lockmort said that she was his waifu at one point. um but i thought they they they did an absolutely amazing job they had all the they added in all the extra um like the um the chadley stuff too like with the vr fights um they did such an incredible job at expanding this like two hour section of a game and making it into this like 30 hour game it was awesome they the stuff they added into i really liked i liked how it obviously this is
01:02:05
Speaker
it's like it's not just a remake it's like a it's like a a retelling a reimagining a sequel almost takes place in somewhere else i absolutely adored it i love the additional sephiroth stuff as well like i thought was super cool like you know you don't see sephiroth until way after midgar in the original final fantasy 7 they mentioned him but you don't see him i love how they added that in it was great um super super amazing game So much so that this came out right like about um a month after school kind of locked down for me. I was not in the best place. It was kind of really sad. And I played this game like back to back.
01:02:42
Speaker
And I just kept playing. It was just amazing. And I like i loved it. It was so much fun to play. And shout out to playing as Barrett. Barrett was super fun to play as. I loved playing as Barrett.
01:02:54
Speaker
Oh, dude, yeah. The fact that you could play as every... Well, not every character in your party you couldn't play as Red XIII, but yeah the fact that you could play as most people in your party, it made it that much more fun because everyone has their own gameplay style. and like I mean, even just in the tutorial, it's like you play as Cloud, and then it's like switch to Barret to shoot these turrets, and it kind of show introduces you to how to do long-range gunplay rather than an up-close buster sword. And it's just...
01:03:20
Speaker
the game yeah the gameplay is so good i mean obviously i i don't hate turn-based combat but i prefer action rpgs and it just it makes it so good shout out to my favorite freaking boss in the game the hell house which was just a freaking regular enemy my god regular enemy in the original final phase you just be running around all see this little hell house thing you're like what the heck is this And the track when you're fighting the Hell House is like an absolute banger.
01:03:50
Speaker
Oh my god. And then speaking of the soundtrack, we haven't even mentioned like the soundtrack of this game. Oh my god. It's something I still listen to all the time today. And it's just... I... feel Yeah. No, it's crazy. Dude, actually, it's so funny because on Spotify, it has the Japanese names for the songs. And so it's hard to like, it's hard to listen to them because you don't know what you're clicking on. But I switched over to Apple Music and the names are in English. So I'm like, yay, I can actually go to the songs I want to listen to. The English name, it's in parentheses. You have to wait for the song to go by. Yeah, that's annoying. I don't want to do that. Because it's also like, it'll say the Japanese name, then like Final Fantasy 7, whatever. And then that English. And
Music Projects and Playful Rap Attempts
01:04:31
Speaker
just have the name in English. So Apple Music, it's just a name in English. So yeah. And shout out the fact that they just added the Rebirth soundtrack to Spotify.
01:04:43
Speaker
The what? The Rebirth soundtrack just got added to Spotify the whole thing. Oh, did it finally? yeah oh yeah actually, yeah, I did add it. i was I was upset though because it doesn't have the piano melodies in it.
01:04:55
Speaker
Rumor has it there's another album being added to Spotify in a couple days, I heard. Drake's new album. You don't need to listen to it. On March 6th, maybe. Drake's new album? Do you know anything about this?
01:05:08
Speaker
I am putting an album on on Spotify, but you do not need to listen to it. First of all, midnight. I know, I'm joking. I can't honestly i cannot wait for Drake's new album though on a serious note I'm so sick of waiting this motherfucker said that Iceman was coming last summer summer 2025 where the fuck is it it's almost summer 26 at this point well it's almost spring 26 but anyway where is it talking about wait Iceman from Mega Man yeah from Mega ice ice Man Iceman Drake's new album yeah from Mega Man yeah Mega Man yeah
01:05:42
Speaker
But anyway, yeah, our boy Hodge is going to have a new album out in three days. Everybody go stream. well It will already be out by the time this episode's out. Yeah, so go stream. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's right. We're going to go to every Apple store. We're going put it on every computer or in there. when We're going to go sell it out my trunk. going to the numbers. I'm going to make it required. I'm going to make a required listening to all my classes. Then they have to write a detailed detailed write-up of every song.
01:06:09
Speaker
How did it make you feel? What mood did it evoke? I will say I'm proud of my songwriting. i am not proud of my voice. do not like my song voice. I'm excited to listen to it. I appreciate that. You know, I'm not a big country guy, but I'm going to listen to it.
01:06:23
Speaker
I'm going to listen to the whole album my next run. I'm just going to have it on the entire album as well. For anyone who cares, I have a little fake band because I record all my songs acoustically because I don't have, obviously, a band. So I use a program to add instrumentals to it.
01:06:38
Speaker
And so it's not technically a band I'm playing with. But my fake band name is Suburban West. If anyone does want to listen to it, you don't have to. But ah i I'm proud of the songwriting.
01:06:50
Speaker
My singing voice could use work, but Hey, I'm recording it on this microphone. I'm not a professional audio engineer. I can't i can't figure it out. So whatever. But I appreciate that.
01:07:01
Speaker
It's going great. I appreciate you. It's going to million times better than any shit I would put out. I'll tell you that. You want hear my songs? Yo, there you go yo, it's Mr. Mason rapping with his blue hair. Don't care. Hair. Fair.
01:07:16
Speaker
I don't care. i got my hat on. I'm sitting here with my boy Midnight and my boy Hodgeite. Yo. Yeah.
01:07:28
Speaker
You're wearing, your you got your hat playing some John Mad on. DJ, spin that. Exactly. All right.
01:07:55
Speaker
Anyway, my number one game yeah ah from 2020. I
Astro's Playroom and PS5 Haptics
01:08:01
Speaker
find it funny that you said you were going to rage if this was on it, but Astros Playroom is my number one game of 2020. I absolutely love this game. It's a tech demo.
01:08:11
Speaker
it's Sorry. It's a full six-hour game. it's but I mean, it is a tech demo. The PS5 is the tech demo. This is not a tech demo. I'm sorry. I shouldn't belittle your pick. Please continue, sir. No, it's a – I mean, it is technically a tech demo. It's what – they use it. That is the PS5 one. Whoops.
01:08:28
Speaker
they Huh? That is the PS5 one. My bad. I forgot PS5 came out in 2020. Yeah, exactly. No, yeah, it came on all the PS5s. It's, whoa. I want to apologize for belittling your game. I'm sorry. I don't care. I love it. I i mean, Astro Bot is the better game, but yeah, this, what I mean, it was tech in a way to use as a tech download. lot of people do love it, to be fair. It is a full-fledged six, eight-hour game or whatever, but yeah, it's every level is basically, here's weird things happening so you can feel it in the DualSense edge, or DualSense, normal DualSense. So that that is what the game was for, but it was such a good platformer. It it had so many love letters because every there were four worlds that you go to, and each one was a PlayStation generation. And so you'd find characters from that generation, like little Astrobots from that generation. And yeah, i just it was so much fun finding because you'd also unlock things that were...
01:09:28
Speaker
like PlayStation hardware from back in the day, you'd be like, you'd to open a thing and be like the PlayStation two eye toy or whatever. You're like what the heck? Like, it'd like this game pack. And you're like, Oh my gosh, I forgot that existed. and so it's like, it was just this beautiful love letter to, ah PlayStation. And then obviously the ending, it's like you unlock the PlayStation 5. So like it is a little bit of like I remember we talked about it even on our Astro Bot thing of this could have easily been a soulless corporate like
01:10:02
Speaker
They could have put absolutely no heart into it. and It could have just been like a corporate jerk off session. But it's such a good homage to the life of the PlayStation ah that they deserve their props for. Like did not ever feel soulless. It's it's this amazing, fun game that it just makes you so happy. Like it's one of those games that I just the dumbest smile on my face the entire time I was playing it. because you're just like, oh my God, there's Jak and Daxter. Oh, that's Nathan Drake. Oh, there's Solid Snake over there. Like, it's just so much fun to see every little thing. And again, like the platforming itself was so good and ah it only improved in Astro Bot, of course, but all the little different powers you had and it was so smooth. The graphics obviously were beautiful because it was designed specifically for PlayStation 5 to show off how good this console is. And ah yeah, I mean, I'm sure there are there there are better games and whatnot, but I just had so much fun with this game that for for a while I legitimately was saying it's my favorite PlayStation 5 game. And then obviously other games that are better came out. and But yeah, Astro's Playroom is my favorite game from 2020.
01:11:10
Speaker
It's a great pick. Hodge is an honorable mention for me. I'll never forget that first moment where you're walking on the sand and you can just feel it. Like, yeah, that was, it's one that was one of those things that I heard people talking about it, like people who previewed it. And i'm like, there's no way, there's no way. And then I did it. And i was like, i was like,
01:11:27
Speaker
what is going on remember my dad texts me he's like dude because i was because so i was at work when the ps5 when my ps5 but his ship to him he was already retired and he texts me and he goes dude you gotta play astrobot i'm like you i thought you were gonna boot up demon souls first because i was we were super excited about and he goes no i booted up astrobot he goes the the walking on the sand thing he goes it's real he goes you are gonna lose your mind i i couldn't believe it Yeah, well, it's also, i remember, because, yeah, exactly, it's one of those things, I kept it installed on my PlayStation for so long, because when people come over, like, here, play this, you have to experience this, because it was that, and the other one I always remember is skating on the ice, like, you feel the skate on the ice, and it, it like, doesn't make sense how you're feeling it, but it was the same, I mean,
01:12:13
Speaker
It sucks because when the PlayStation 5 was announced and they announced all this stuff, I'm like, oh, that's going to be a really cool feature that no game ever utilizes. And for the most part, it I'm kind of right. Like, people do have a little bit of haptics to their games, but...
01:12:29
Speaker
I didn't really experience it again until actually Resident Evil Requiem, which I'm playing right now, where at the start of the game, you're walking in the rain and you feel the raindrops on your controller. And it's so cool like that. You can feel the rain hitting your hands. and You're like, oh, this is really weird. Yeah.
01:12:45
Speaker
But that is what sadly a lot of games haven't put as much into the controller as it's capable of. Cause obviously Astro shows it what this controller can do. And I just think obviously devs are probably a little lazy and don't want to actually apply all of that to the game. So, but when, when it's used, it's, it's amazing. But yeah, Astro's playroom is my favorite from 2020. It's a great pick. All right.
01:13:12
Speaker
Well, Hades is again, but I didn't include it. So yeah. All right. Good stuff. I actually did try Astro's playroom a little bit. I beat a couple levels on it.
01:13:22
Speaker
um I do remember the haptics were really sweet. Like it felt different when you were walking on like the glass or the water and the sand and stuff. It did. It did vibrate and feel different. And i do remember like using the the triggers to like move your arms up and like do the different climbing and stuff. And that was pretty cool. So, yeah, it wasn't bad.
01:13:39
Speaker
um So, yeah, not a bad pick. Obviously, you know, a lot of people love it. And it obviously was was really good because they greenlit a sequel. That one game of the year. So, all right. Which was almost my game of the year.
01:13:50
Speaker
I was very torn between that and Rebirth. I just ended up going with Rebirth, but Astro Bot was a very close second in 2024. All right. All right. all right Well, my number one here.
01:14:03
Speaker
Do you guys have a guess? Pistol Whip. Pistol Whip? Yes. It is a non-revention of mine, but no. What is it? It is The Last of Us Part 2. Ooh.
01:14:17
Speaker
That's right. So I want to use this time now to talk about an indie game that I likes like. I can fell, right? I can fell. Yes, it is a small game based in Hogwarts. No.
01:14:29
Speaker
The Last of Us Part II is an amazing game. I
The Last of Us Part II: Changing Opinions
01:14:32
Speaker
finally played it last year, I think. And it's great. You know, I was hating on this game for a long time. um I don't know why i was just a hater. um You know, I saw the spoilers, of course. I didn't like the spoilers. um I saw the ending, you know, was was spoiled for me. I didn't like the ending. I'm like, well, that's freaking stupid. Like, there's no closure. um And I was just like, well, this is lame. I don't like this. This game sucks and I'm not going to play it. So for a long time, I didn't play it. Didn't give it a chance.
01:14:59
Speaker
Finally, though, you know, I worked out a deal with Lockmort. I told him I'll play The Last of Us Part II and you quit smoking. So I saved his life. He's probably smoking again. Honestly, who knows? you said He said hasn't been smoking.
01:15:12
Speaker
I saved his life. Everyone's welcome. I asked him about it ah on one of his streams. and He says he's been like seven months or something. Heck yeah, that's thanks to me. But yeah, and i I love this game. It's so good. you know I've talked about it before. Actually, I'm surprisingly maybe Team Abby in this. I'm really shocked, but I really liked her story a lot. This game was just incredible. The game the graphics were insane. The gameplay was crazy. um The story was great. I loved everything about it.
01:15:40
Speaker
Do I like it more than part one? That's hard to say. um Probably not, but I think they're like neck and neck. like They're practically tied, to be honest. Now, It's a little weird because I'm pretty sure on my top list I have Ghost Tsushima ranked higher than The Last of Us. all right But who cares? I wanted to give Last of Us Part II the shine, so I ranked it ahead. It's my list. Deal with it, people. The Last of Us Part II is awesome, and I wanted it to give it the love that it deserves because I finally recognize the greatness. So there you go.
Honorable Mentions and Gaming Reflections
01:16:10
Speaker
do what you want. i mentioned Last of Us Part II, and I didn't even talk about it. talk but Exactly. and And with that said, let me give a mention to my honorable mentions. now yeah We are going to do honorable mentions, though.
01:16:21
Speaker
You guys want me to go on into mine real quick? um ah Yeah. Hang on one second. Give me one second. to Give me one one second. I just want to pull up. I accidentally closed my document by mistake, but I have a lot of mentions. I know I am such a bad person. All right. You guys can go.
01:16:37
Speaker
We'll give you one second. all right. All right. So my honorable mentions, I only have three. I probably could have gotten more, but you know i didn't I didn't go super deep because you know i got I got my ironclad five and then I was like, yeah I'll just add a few more. So Cyberpunk 2077, previously mentioned. My number five game of all time, love it.
01:16:57
Speaker
13 Sentinels Aegis Rim. Amazing game. Incredible sci-fi story with lots of twists and turns. Definitely recommend that game. Really, really good. And then last but not least, again, this is for the haters out there. They can suck it.
01:17:12
Speaker
AC. Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Now this game is big and bloated as hell, and that's true. But if you go into the game understanding and recognizing that the game is big and bloated as hell, you can have some dumb fun in this game. And it also benefited from the fact that it was one of the very first next-gen games that I got to play on my Series X. um So it was one of the first times I had a 4K experience on there. And I had fun running around doing Viking stuff, you know? The story was pretty good. I was out there pillaging and, you know,

upgrading my ships and taking over England. And it was pretty good. It was a good game. It does rank somewhat near the middle to bottom of my AC rankings overall, but I still had a good time. So those are my honorable mentions.
01:17:56
Speaker
um What about you, Hodge? Yeah, my honorable mentions, actually had quite a few. ah Star Wars Episode One Racer came out for PS4. I thought that was funny because I just beat it, but That game is phenomenal. ah The Destroy All Humans remake also came out in 2020. Fantastic game. I actually just bought it on PlayStation because it was on sale with the second one for super cheap. So I bought those and I'm going to platinum those eventually. I did say it as a joke, but Pistol Whip for PSVR. Phenomenal, phenomenal game. So much fun. This one I did include because it's not technically a game. It's a DLC, but the Control AWE DLC came out in 2020, which is the Alan Wake one, which is so cool.
01:18:42
Speaker
ah Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remaster came out. Phenomenal. Spider-Man Miles Morales, Sackboy. Obviously, we talked about those. Actually, cod um Black Ops Cold War. I actually really liked that one. The multiplayer was a lot of fun. i actually didn't like the campaign. I i stopped playing it, but ah that that game was so much fun. Me my cousin played the crap of the multiplayer. ah I think it was also just because I was really good at it. but And then finally, ah as everyone knows, I love me my walking Sims. So I have Call of the Sea, which launched on PlayStation. I do want to play it again on or sorry, i launched on Xbox. It was actually an exclusive for a while. i It came to PlayStation, though, so I want to replay it there. But yeah, it's just really cool walking sim where you're this girl who goes to this island to find stuff out about her family and It's really weird, but it's really, really, really good. So yeah, those are my honorable, my honorable. And then obviously Hades honorable mention, but yeah, those are my honorable mentions.
01:19:45
Speaker
Good stuff. All right. For me, honorable mentions for me, obviously we had mentioned, um, ghost of Tsushima, the, um, I'm going to say sack boy again. Um,
01:19:58
Speaker
yeah Astro, Astro Bot. Yeah, I also have Doom 2016. I mean, Doom Eternal, not 2016. Doom Eternal. Wow, that was really bad. Demon Souls, I really like that game. That that almost got my list. Animal Crossing, I freaking played the crap out Animal Crossing that year. That was an amazing game. Yeah.
01:20:21
Speaker
we How could we forget? Guys, Just Dance 2020? Come on, guys. No, but we talked about Bugsnax. Midnight, you brought up Assassin's Creed Valhalla. My uncle like absolutely loved that game. But yeah, 2020, great year for gaming i mean crappy year but overall great year for gaming and then um this game came out in 2019 but it it really came to it came out in 2019 but it actually came to consoles in like 2020 and that was shakedown hawaii that game was f freaking awesome it's like an old school gta type of game super fun like like the top down gta games And then Twin Breaker, a Sacred Symbols game.
01:21:14
Speaker
I really like those style games. I love Brick Breakers. And you should all play Twin Breaker. You should play the sequel as well. But yeah. i I actually fell off Twin Breaker because once you got to like the quad paddles, I just couldn't do it. Yeah. That blew my mind at first, but then I went back to it and played it. My dad made fun of me. He's like, you goes you're you're a freaking rookie.
01:21:36
Speaker
Twin Breaker actually was... um ah it was the reason I bought a Vita because I knew it had the ah the cross buy or whatever where if you bought it on PS4 you also got the Vita copy so I bought a Vita for it and that was actually right before they were closing down I think the Vita store so I actually got it right before like They didn't even close it down. still out, actually. They didn't actually close it down. Yeah, or maybe it was they stopped making them or something. I can't remember, but there was something that I bought it right before the... Because Vitas are actually... I don't know. Maybe they went back down, but they were expensive as hell for a while. They still Okay. Yeah, I got mine at GameStop for...
01:22:22
Speaker
90 100 dollars like it was i got it for pretty cheap so because no one cared about the vita so it was dirt cheap and so i got it for that and played it and i actually have a persona 4 golden on it which i could play there but awesome game i actually bought that on playstation so or ps5 so if i do play it that's where i'll play it because then i can portal it if i do want to do mobile so um And then I also want to say shout out to Kentucky Road Zero. Like the entire game got released this year. Like they were releasing them episodically on mobile. And then they actually released like the full version with every episode together on console this year. And one more. How could we forget? Guys, Dreams.
