No matter who you are, eventually you get sick or injured. It may be just a cold, or something much more virulent. You may cut a finger, or break a leg. No matter whether large or small, it's important to heal, completely and quickly.

In this episode, I talk about some things that can have an impact on your healing--either positive or negative. If you'd like to know more about these factors and what you can do to help yourself to heal, take a listen. And as always, please feel free to leave a comment.

Why Don't I Heal? How Can I Heal Faster/Better?

Season 3, Episode 8.  In this episode, I am privileged to interview Robin Hancock, a trained and certified Forest Bathing nature guide who lives in the mountains of NW Georgia, USA. If you have listened to my podcast before, you may have heard me talk about the benefits of Shinrin Yoku (the Japanense phrase for Forest Bathing). Robin is much more knowledgeable about this topic than I, and in fact has a business where she organizes and leads Forest Bathing experiences.

You can find her on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/renewalbynatureguides, or at her own web page http://www.renewal-by-nature.com/

I am sure you will find much of interest in both this podcast and on her website.

Forest Bathing: a Natural Way to Be Balanced and Healthy

Today's episode is about acupuncture, and I have a great guest, Deanna Stennett, a Georgia-licensed and Nationally Certified Acupuncturist. Because of various delays since this was recorded, Deanna's Ellijay, GA, location has very recently changed. Her Ellijay location is now at the Natural Wellness Center on Kiker Street in Ellijay.

Her website URL is www.acupunctureinnorthgeorgia.com [http://www.acupunctureinnorthgeorgia.com] , but it may not yet have the correct Ellijay, GA address!

Also, please be aware that the interview portion of this episode was recorded using different equipment and in different surroundings than usual (after service in our Unitarian Universalist Church), so you will notice a difference in audio quality and background noise. I have tried my best to minimize this, but I ask your forgiveness and  hope you will find the information in this episode interesting anyway!

Acupuncture for Your Good Health!

(My apologies... I labeled this as "CONFINED Animal..." and not "CONCENTRATED Animal...". I have actually heard them referred to with both terms, but Concentrated is the preferred term.)

Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations are proliferating across America, and have even begun to spread to the UK and other countries. No scientific body nor ecological body approves of their existence, because of the immense harm CAFOs cause to the environment, the health of the people who live around the CAFO, and even to the economy.

In addition to the information in this episode, I am including some links to places that will give you more detailed information about these things, and the horrific impact they have on the environment, public health, and the economy. Please take some time to check some of them.

I apologize for the quality of the recording, but I recorded it outside in our summer shelter gazebo, and there was some wind noise. Even with that, though, I hope you find this very informative and educational... and that it stirs you to do something positive about this rampant attack on your  health, your family's health, and the health of the planet.

Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) and Your Health

This is the actual guided meditation, introduced in the previous episode.

I hope you find it useful.

Base Chakra Guided Meditation

This guided meditation, with accompanying sounds of crystal singing bowl and 7-metal Tibetan singing bowl, was created to help you balance and energize your Base Chakra (also called the Root Chakra).

Because I don't want you to have to listen to my little intro of the meditation every time you may want to use the guided meditation, I will post the meditation as a separate episode after this one.

Also, in case you wish to download directly, here is a link to allow you to download the meditation from the cloud.

The singing bowl are in frequencies designed to help strengthen, balance, and energize your Base Chakra, while you listen to the guided meditation. I am playing the bowls.

Base Chakra Guided Meditation Intro

So often, people are afraid of the dark, or cannot see the positive side of darkness. In this episode, I want to talk about how darkness benefits us... and not just humans, but everything that is alive on Earth.

Full Spectrum Holistic Health - The Benefits of Darkness

Many people have heard of generational curses, such as the sins or evil of the grandparents being held against the grandchild. But such generational curses can have what many would consider innocent physical causes, totally separate from any spiritual actions on the part of ancestors.

Physical Generational Curses

In this episode, I talk about how failing to forgive others is  more harmful to your own mental, emotional, and even your PHYSICAL  health., than it is to anyone else. I talk about the scientific/medical indications of self-damage, and a few ways to help you forgive others.

Poisoning Yourself by Not Forgiving Others

There's no denying the power of some of today's marvelous pharmaceutical wonders. But don't forget that, for centuries, people successfully used a variety of herbs to treat various illnesses and disorders. There isn't enough time in one of these episodes to cover ALL the medicinal herbs you could use, but here is a sampling of some that are commonly available, and that could be of use to you.

And by the way, my recommended source for purchased herbs (the one we use for herbs we cannot grow ourselves) is Mountain Rose Herbs. https://www.mountainroseherbs.com
