Speaker: base chakra guided meditation take a long deep breath in through your nose hold it for a few seconds slowly exhale through your mouth allow your eyes to close
Speaker: Take in another breath like the first one. Feel the air entering your nose, traveling down through your throat into your chest cavity, expanding your lungs, pushing down on your diaphragm. Slowly let the air back out again through your mouth
Speaker: As you continue to breathe in a slow, even rhythm, settle into your relaxed posture. It doesn't matter whether you are sitting in a chair, or on the floor, or lying down, whatever feels best to you.
Speaker: Feel the support beneath you. The floor is holding you up. The earth is holding up the floor. They are safe and strong and will not fail you.
Speaker: Don't worry about other thoughts coming into your mind, distractions about what may happen later, or what happened yesterday. Let these thoughts into your mind and then leave as they came, without effort or worry, like clouds drifting across a blue sky.
Speaker: As each breath enters your nose, visualize the air going deeper and deeper into your body. Through your nose, down into your lungs, swirling down into your stomach and belly, all the way down to your base chakra. Envision that each breath also draws in a rosy light
Speaker: going deep inside you, illuminating you within. And as you release that breath, feel it rising from your base chakra all the way up through your belly, and then out through your throat and mouth.
Speaker: The rosy light stays inside you and grows to a warm, comfortable level. With each breath, the light slowly swirls in your base chakra and then fills more and more of you. Feel the support you are being given.
Speaker: Feel how you are cradled and held up by your chair, your pillow, by the floor, by the earth. Imagine that there are roots, tiny tendrils growing down from your body.
Speaker: From your back, from your backside, your feet, reaching down into the earth. The roots go deeper, deeper, deep into the bedrock of the earth. They gave birth to us all.
Speaker: We need that connection to the Earth. That feeling of being rooted. Feel the strength and solidity of the Earth. Feel that strength feeding you with each breath you take. Feel the energy of growth.
Speaker: of the growing trees and plants. Feel the security that comes from knowing you are supported and safe, connected to Mother Earth. As you relax into that connection with the Earth, you feel a deep peace.
Speaker: You take comfort in the security of being supported and cradled by the planet that has been home to so many generations of your ancestors. As the light grows inside you, you can sense the ideas that have been planted in your base chakra by your tribe
Speaker: You recognize that some of these ideas have merit and value and will contribute to your growth and happiness. But you also see that some of these ideas will limit you, confine you to a narrow path, box you in.
Speaker: As you recognize each of these limiting, unhealthy ideas, you release it. And as you breathe in, the fresh air lifts those limiting ideas from within you. They drift up, totally detaching from you.
Speaker: And as you breathe out, the old tribal ideas are breathed out and float away. It will probably take more than one breath to clear each limiting belief. Soon, they are taken out and replaced by the pure light that enters with your breath. And with each one that is removed,
Speaker: You feel a deeper peace. Now say to yourself silently,
Speaker: I choose to be safe. I choose not to place myself in any dangerous situations. I know I will have the financial means to meet my needs. I have food and drink.
Speaker: I have clothes to wear. I have a place to live and a roof over my head. A comfortable place to sleep. I am secure.
Speaker: As you settle into a feeling of peace, you release any worries about safety or security. You visualize your first chakra, your base chakra, blowing a comfortable rosy red. You continue to breathe in and out.
Speaker: slowly and deeply. You sense the warm, comforting light that fills you with each breath, all the way from your head to your toes.
Speaker: And now, as your meditation comes to an end, you know you need to bring yourself back fully to the ordinary world. But even as you return, the light stays within you. You can sense that your first chakra, your base chakra, is happily spinning at the correct speed
Speaker: balanced and softly alight with just the right shade of red. The invisible roots connecting you to the Earth are drawing back into your body, but you still feel connected to the strength and solidity of Earth's bedrock, to the warm glow of Earth's molten center.
Speaker: And now wiggle your toes, clench and unclench them. Tighten the muscles in your legs and then loosen them. You are still supported by the earth, the floor, or chair or pillow. Momentarily tighten and then release your abdominal muscles. Tense your shoulders,
Speaker: arms, hands, and then loosen them, moving and wiggling your fingers a little. Gently shrug your shoulders a couple of times. Roll your head from side to side. Bend, tilt it from front to back as comfortably as you can.
Speaker: Take a couple of deeper breaths and open your eyes. Don't rush standing up. Give yourself some time to get reoriented. And now smile, because you know you are safe and you will have all that you need. Namaste.
