Hey everyone this week I sit down and have such a powerful chat with Calgary native Angelique MacLeod, she is a marketing executive, who's been through hell and back with everything she has been through. You can follow her on her journey over on Instagram @amacleod_ba

She is now showing her art through her modelling career that is taking off! She is also the author of her own book to be released in the near future. 

In this tell all episode she starts right from the beginning being born to teenage parents, being bullied at school and beaten up regularly. She was raped at 13 years of age by a man she thought she loved at such a young age. 

She had her first child at 19, and was then married as well around the same time to a man that was abusive in so many different ways to her. She developed eating disorders along the way and was very unhealthy at one point that she could barely breathe to get up a flight of stairs. She is such an amazing mom to 2 beautiful daughters. 

She has overcome her reliance on alcohol to cope with the copious amounts of pain that she was suffering from through the years, and is now 3 years sober! This is huge for her! 

This story is heartwarming and empowering, she is paving the way for so many others coming up behind her. 

LETS END THE STIGMA TOGETHER AROUND ALL OF THESE THINGS. ITS OK TO NOT BE OK!
