Speaker: Welcome back to another episode of the Certified Jarvis Podcast. This one we were originally going to do last Friday, but because of Alyssa's
Speaker: health scare and her stay in the hospital right now. we've decided that I would do it tonight By myself. So. You're asking, well what is the episode about?
Speaker: It's certified or denied horror movie sequels. So I will literally be talking about horror movie sequels. And. literally talking about Are they certified? Do they stand up to what?
Speaker: The original was. or what the other sequels were. Or if they're denied. And I come up with the reason to. for why I would say they're certified or denied.
Speaker: Okay. So. The very first sequel I'm going to start off with.
Speaker: Okay. Yeah, I know. It... I wish Alyssa was here because this was her idea. and i think it's such a great idea it sucks that she isn't here right now but she is getting better each and every day, and soon she will be back.
Speaker: hopefully. so Let's start off with one of my favorite horror movie sequels, and that is Halloween 2. And I'm not talking about the Rob Zombie one. I'm actually talking about.
Speaker: the original Halloween 2. John Carpenter originally did not want to direct this movie. Rick Rosenthal was the original director of the movie and wanted to replicate what Halloween.
Speaker: was. The original plans for Halloween 2 was that... It was going to take place years later. And that Michael was going to chase. Lori.
Speaker: in an apartment complex in Chicago. Now. I think that would have been cool But I do love that they decided and it was the best decision.
Speaker: To. make the sequel based off of the night that Michael had come home. So it was pretty much continuing that night when Michael came home. was stalking Lori, was stalking Annie, was stalking Linda.
Speaker: All that. Now, why I think it lives up to the original? was that it Basically. was able to recapture what the original did.
Speaker: And that was Make Michael Scary. Granted, we would get the... Lori is. Michael's sister storyline BS. But.
Speaker: it still worked out for the best. Although in later sequel... in the next sequel, Halloween 3. We didn't get Michael. We got an anthology movie.
Speaker: Which to this day, I still think. It's still a good movie. But... Now if I was to talk about Halloween 2 in the same aspect of what it did from the original. I would have to call it certified.
Speaker: It lived up to the original and in some cases did better than the original. How many horror movies... took place in the hospital at that time.
Speaker: Of Halloween 2. and actually worked. Like, that is the thing that made Halloween 2 so great, was that Michael was trying to track down Lori.
Speaker: He would have had to go. room to room. And. I honestly think that is the scariest thing. Because you didn't know where he was. And when he finally pops out.
Speaker: He does so many great kills. There's so many off -screen kills too. I mean... the nurse where he drains her of her blood. And Jimmy slips in the blood and gives himself a.
Speaker: uh concussion like It would have been cool to see that kill. But at the same time, I would have been like, oh, I don't like that.
Speaker: So Halloween 2. Definitely certified. Now to a movie that I will say is. Denied. or decertified. Is. Silent night.
Speaker: deadly night. 2. So... It takes place after the original. but with the little brother now. Being. the killer.
Speaker: And one of the weirdest parts of the whole movie. is The... little brother. Now an adult walking down the street with a gun.
Speaker: Not even looking menacingly. And when he sees a garbage man, he yells out. Garbage day. and shoots the garbage man. The reason why I'm saying it's denied or...
Speaker: De -certified. was because i don't think It should have been a sequel. the added prequel elements into it. And for me, it. It kind of killed.
Speaker: What? The first one did. And yes, I know at that time you had the horror comedies like Evil Dead 2, Sleepaway Camp 2 and 3.
Speaker: It just this one did not work. For whatever reason, and I know people are going to be. you know Some are going to agree and some are going to disagree with what I'm saying on that.
Speaker: But... you have to look at it as... They took... What the original was. And just literally said, okay, we're not going to do that anymore.
Speaker: We're going to make this into kind of like a comedy. And it just... It hit on certain aspects, but... Ed. didn't hit where it needed to most and it didn't live up to the potential of what the first did Another one that I think is certified.
Speaker: is...
Speaker: Sleepaway Camp 2. I think.
Speaker: that Pamela Springsteen Did a very good job. I was very very shocked. That the sister of Bruce Springsteen could.
Speaker: you know do such a great job and she did And... you know yes they went into a different direction from the thriller of the first one and the shocking ending of the first one But what Sleepaway Camp 2 did.
Speaker: Well? Was that. Yeah. You now saw Angela. Of course, she's going by a different last name Baker. Er, no.
Speaker: I think it's Johnson. And she literally. Still goes after the counselors. and the campers. That do these. That have sex, do drugs, drink. Do all these things that Angela hates.
Speaker: And Pamela Springsteen's dialogue in this is so funny. I mean, granted. Sleepaway camp three, I would say is probably. her Is probably better.
Speaker: That she acts. in But I think the second one. does just as well as the first one did. So I got called out when certified. well.
Speaker: Another. Denied or decertified. Horror sequel. Stepfather 2. so Why I don't like Stepfather 2.
Speaker: is because... He literally died at the end of the first one. But then when they made the sequel they had to say well somehow he survived that I don't give a fuck who you are.
Speaker: You're not surviving. A normal person is not surviving getting... Uh... broken board. from a stairway rammed into your heart.
Speaker: You're not surviving that. Like, no. I call bullshit on that. Granted. I also have to say the sequel, Stepfather 3. Which I don't believe they should have made.
Speaker: I mean, if you don't get Terry Terry O 'Quinn back. Why would you make a sequel? And.
Speaker: Like... It's so stupid how they ended that series. So I have to say stepfather two and stepfather three do not live up to the.
Speaker: hefty hype of the first one. and they are decertified. Another certified one. And I think it's.
Speaker: better than the original, and that's Jeepers Creepers 2.
Speaker: How? Now, granted, I still think Trish should have came back.
Speaker: I think that story of the first one should have still happened. in the second one Where. You know Trish should have been able to. Get revenge.
Speaker: On the creeper. But... they they went with a different version where A farmer's son is killed. And then...
Speaker: the farmer's going to track them down. And you get. Such a cool sequence of that, like with the pulse toll. punch and all that. That was funny.
Speaker: like how he created a weapon out of that just to go after the creeper is Like so amazing.
Speaker: And I do say. That Jeepers Creepers 2 was better. I honestly don't know how people could have. And, you know, people will Shit on Victor Silva.
Speaker: Fine. But you can't shit on the people that gave their heart and soul for the movie to work. I...
Speaker: Don't know how well it could have stood up. to the original but it did And you know, the bus chase is so funny. The creeper picking out the people on the bus. It's pretty good, too.
Speaker: And, you know, I honestly think that was one of the best ones that they could have done. granted other sequels kind of shit the bed and all that but Jeepers Creepers 2 is very much in the certified category
Speaker: Another. Denied. horror movie sequel. And I did not like it. But. Friday the 13th, Part 5.
Speaker: And I will tell you why I think it's. It didn't live up to. the hype. The hype was... That in the final chapter.
Speaker: Jason was killed.
Speaker: Well... Part five. Is that it's a copycat. And we all know. how this was going to go down.
Speaker: And it didn't work. In my opinion, Roy Burns should have never been the killer. Granted yes, his His son that he abandoned. Did.
Speaker: Get murdered. But... Still, that, I... I honestly think that is not enough of a reason. for them to have said okay now we're always gonna take over as jason and He's going to be. Jason.
Speaker: I thought that was stupid. And. Having Tommy. Kind of be like catatonic.
Speaker: When he sees Jason. what was another part that was kind of stupid, allowing Jason to kind of slash him. before he attacks him like that that was stupid Having Roy do that. to Tommy was like,
Speaker: Why wouldn't? In my opinion, if you killed Jason, don't you think Jason would have been scared of you? Because you're one of the ones that actually killed him.
Speaker: And then...
Speaker: It's so ridiculous how... They did that movie. Like I don't understand why you would want a copycat When you could have just brought Jason back. You're like, yes, we all know that Jason supposedly died in the final chapter.
Speaker: but I mean... this guy has come back from a lot.
Speaker: Now, while I say that is decertified. Or denied. I do have to say. That. The next sequel. Friday the 13th Jason Lives Was.
Speaker: Great.
Speaker: I... And I've gotten to... interview. the director of part six Tom. Tom McLaughlin.
Speaker: And he is one of the greatest. Directors. That could have brought Jason back. And...
Speaker: How they did it. It was kind of cool. And if I could ever get. Tommy back. I would. Definitely.
Speaker: enjoy talking with him about Part six again. because When I originally had him on the on. the Jarvis Podcast.
Speaker: It was so cool. And, of course, I have my buddy Mark, who is part of Talking Shit. Before talking shit. also helped me interview him. And I loved it.
Speaker: I really loved it Now. Another certified one, and I know I'm kind of biased on this one. But roll his blood.
Speaker: Peter Anthony. Was such a great Director. for a sequel based off of Part 7.
Speaker: Which continues. The. Story. Of Tina. And. how she's committed to a mental institution.
Speaker: And then you also bring in.
Speaker: Sinai. Load it. Lewis. Lois. Lotus. ursinae Who is a great actress, by the way.
Speaker: You bring them two in. And it's the recipe for. a great story. I honestly watch.
Speaker: Roseblood Before I Watch Part 8. Jason takes Manhattan. Because Roseblood is such a great... movie concept.
Speaker: And you even have Michael show up at the end of the movie. And you have like Creighton Duke. From. Jason goes to hell. in this movie.
Speaker: And you're told. You're shown why he hates Jason. In this movie. Rose blood. Another person I'd love to have on the podcast, Peter Anthony.
Speaker: Now a decertified. One. I would have to go with Jeez.
Speaker: There's been so many already. but Alyssa would want me to continue. So a decertified horror movie sequel. And that is.
Speaker: Halloween 5 A lot of people liked Halloween 5, The Revenge of Michael Myers. I did. I think it. Had.
Speaker: so many errors in that movie that it literally kills it for me. The first one being. The Hermit.
Speaker: How in the hell do you not know that that's fucking Michael Myers?
Speaker: Like. How would you not know that? And originally... The rumor is is that it was supposed to be.
Speaker: Doctor Death. Or Dr. Satan or something like that. And. I would have liked that. version more. And that voodoo brought Michael back.
Speaker: then the version we got. where the hermit literally tends to his wounds and all that bullshit. And then you get more on the whole... The whole symbol that Michael has on his wrist.
Speaker: which we later find out is the Cult of Thorn. And you get to learn about the man in black. You get squeaky -shoed cops. And it's just, and you get Michael.
Speaker: not knowing how to tuck in his fucking mask. like Don Shanks. Wherever he is out there, like, you screwed. the pooch on that. How do you not watch other...
Speaker: Horror movies. in the Halloween franchise. And no to tuck in the fucking mask like you're wearing. Okay. You're wearing... What Michael wears.
Speaker: and you don't tuck in the mask. And one of the... Stupidest scenes in there. Is. uh Michael taking his mask off because Jamie called him Uncle Boogeyman.
Speaker: and when he takes off his mask you see a tear form well when she goes to wipe the tear away It's almost like the evil. jolts him back. And then he just goes to fucking town on a casket that he had for Jamie.
Speaker: Eh. If I could give a ranking on Halloween 5, it would be so decertified that... Ed Bede. End need. In Phantom Zone.
Speaker: Another decertified Halloween movie is Halloween 6.
Speaker: Halloween 6 picks up. Years down the road, we have an adult Jamie who's given birth to a. child. And it's so fucking stupid. Like.
Speaker: Michael has now gone from going after his sister To now going after his niece. Well now. After he gets his niece, he now goes after her baby.
Speaker: Well, if you watch the producer's cut. Somehow... they made it even worse. and said that well they didn't really say it but they hinted at it that Michael and Jamie had sex. And.
Speaker: that the baby is Michael's.
Speaker: That's how far. Halloween had went off the rails. Like five was bad. But... Like, six just... jump the shark to the point where Uh... Yeah.
Speaker: If they didn't do H2O. there would have been no way in hell. they could have saved the franchise. If they would have continued from six. It would have been shit.
Speaker: It really would have. And, you know, the sad thing about it is it's Donald Pleasant's last movie. And for Donald Pleasance to go out.
Speaker: That way. Just, it irritates me because... He was such a phenomenal. character. As Dr. Loomis.
Speaker: And to just make that Dr. Loomis' last movie, like, that to me was, like, the ultimate disrespect. And...
Speaker: The producer's cut also takes away one of the best kills. In. Halloween six, and that's when Michael literally goes into.
Speaker: an operation room. And literally kills all the doctors in there. Like, he leaves no one. except for i think there was like one left but then he kills that guy by pushing him into uh steel bars.
Speaker: Om. But yeah, Halloween 6. Kills the original trilogy. I mean, you could say the same thing about five.
Speaker: Now. a certified Halloween movie. is Halloween 4. The return of Michael. Halloween 4. Does what?
Speaker: Halloween 3 probably should have. And it brings Michael back. like The anthology series didn't work. I liked Halloween 3. I will not include it on the discertified. because I liked Halloween 3 for what it was. Now, granted...
Speaker: had you, and I'll talk more about Halloween 3, but back to Halloween 4. So Halloween 4 brings back Michael. We find out that he's been in a coma. It also brings back Lumas.
Speaker: We meet Jamie. Who is the niece? And the way he finds out is because two doctors. or paramedics are talking about.
Speaker: his
Speaker: about her. about Jamie. And we're also introduced to Rachel. Which Rachel? is a great character. Why she had to die on Halloween 5 is bullshit.
Speaker: but With Halloween 4, they brought back the mystique of what made Halloween 1 and 2 so great. And if you read the book. taking shape.
Speaker: You would know that That wasn't the original plan for that movie. Like they were going to bring back John Carpenter and Deborah Hill, but because.
Speaker: Something happened and John Carpenter and Deborah Hill literally. went and sold their rights to Mustapha card. And so...
Speaker: It's one of those things that...
Speaker: I think. had Halloween 4. Not brought back, Michael, I think. this franchise is dead in the water Michael.
Speaker: Literally. catches up to his niece a couple of times. But when he's right there for the kill, he gets stopped by either Rachel, Loomis, or a bunch of redneck killbillies.
Speaker: There's no bracket. Bracket supposedly moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. in between two and four. And.
Speaker: We now have Sheriff Meeker. Which Meeker dies in such the stupidest way. And five and it's not even shown.
Speaker: And one of the scenes that I think should have been shot. For Halloween 4. Was the police station massacre.
Speaker: I really think that would have been. And. Awesome way to show off Michael as being. The ultimate badass.
Speaker: but Would it have been too long? And... would it have hurt? what they were trying to do with Halloween 4. Because ultimately it was Michael trying to get to Jamie.
Speaker: And we get a weird scene where when. Jamie and Dr. Loomis are walking through the school. Michael shows up in blonde hair.
Speaker: and throws Loomis through a classroom door. glass door and Loomis is out of the picture for a while. We later pick up Rachel having saved Jamie.
Speaker: The... Rednecks have now shown up. and are going to go in the school going to kill myers well then Jamie, or... no rachel talks them out of hey you know They're the.
Speaker: The state police are on their way. Let them handle them. Let's get out of here. And they do for a little bit until Michael somehow. shows up on a truck.
Speaker: Or underneath the truck. climbs up. some of the rednecks and then takes out Earl. And. one of the great scenes from Halloween 4.
Speaker: is...
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: him and Sheriff Meeker's house. He kills the daughter. He kills Deputy Logan first. And then he kills Brady, which Brady was a fucking idiot.
Speaker: I mean granted. He did nail it. uh cop's daughter. So, I mean, there's that. But... the house scene is so cool.
Speaker: And I think calling for. is definitely on the certified list. Now... Another Halloween one.
Speaker: That is on the... de -certified list is Halloween ad. This is a Halloween movie. It's not a Michael movie.
Speaker: And that's sad coming off the... the badass Michael. from Halloween Kills. But in Halloween Ends, Michael is a former shell of himself. who literally just ever so often will find someone kill them and he stays in the sewers That is until...
Speaker: Richie Cunningham.
Speaker: comes into play.
Speaker: And.
Speaker: Okay. Like. It is so stupid. how halloween ends like and uh granted i do like halloween ends i really do Bye. again it Eh. How they made Michael look such a pussy in that movie.
Speaker: We're literally... A weak little bitch. could tackle Michael, steal his mask, and then everyone thinks he's Michael Myers.
Speaker: Like, that was so stupid. And... You know, Lori has somehow.
Speaker: Buried Michael and you know In the start of the movie. You have people.
Speaker: Thinking that Michael uses guns and Officer Hawkins. Frank Hawkins is like literally telling people like Michael's never used a gun before. Why all of a sudden would you think he would now?
Speaker: And of course, the fucking stupid kid in the beginning. That gets killed. I thought it was stupid that... The kid died on an accident.
Speaker: Now... If... they would have been smart. you would have had Michael do it. and then have Richie.
Speaker: blamed for it.
Speaker: And that would have worked. In my opinion, it would have worked. But because Halloween Ends decided that they wanted to take what Halloween 3 was and make it into...
Speaker: This movie. It really didn't show.
Speaker: The greatness of what. Blumhouse trilogy was. I mean, it was so Stupid. That they made Michael into a joke.
Speaker: Lori kills him. for the umpteenth time, even though in Halloween they had talked about killing her off, which I think they should have.
Speaker: Yeah, Halloween ends. It's on the decertified list. Not. very badly. but it is on the decertified list.
Speaker: Another decertified movie is... And I... I kind of hate myself for this one.
Speaker: Text Chains at Massacre 2.
Speaker: Why would you take what made the original one so great? and make a sequel and turn it into The complete opposite. They made it into a comedy.
Speaker: And it didn't work. Now... Is Leatherface a badass in this? Sure.
Speaker: but
Speaker: Also, they gave him a kink in this movie, and that's... When? The DJ. Literally. gets.
Speaker: Turns him on by. you know mimicking like oh my god that's such a big chainsaw and it's Ehhh... It's so stupid. You watch the movie and in between great moments. They just.
Speaker: missed the opportunity to make it even greater. Yeah, and somehow they're in an amusement park. And like that wouldn't have been a red flag or. that people would have been like, well,
Speaker: evidently, you know, The chainsaw people from the first one are in this. theme park and We're not supposed to.
Speaker: And. It literally does nothing for this. for the franchise It's kind of like the Netflix remake.
Speaker: where it literally just Just shits on everything that made text chains on Masker great. And the Netflix remake of Tex Chainsaw Massacre is on.
Speaker: MyDECertified. It. It was horrible. Like from the political undertones and. Just... this school bus scene where The kid's like. you're going to get canceled. Motherfucker, like why?
Speaker: Why are you writing this and doing that? And then... They kill Sally. From the first movie And it's just like.
Speaker: Which they copied Halloween 2018. And. It just didn't work for me. Now back to a certified film.
Speaker: Scream 2. I really liked what they did. That they did
Speaker: They did do a few different things. in this. They kill Randy.
Speaker: It also looks like they killed Dewey. but somehow Dewey still survives. And. to me. Scary movie too, just...
Speaker: did what Scary Movie 1 did, but... on a bigger scale Ghostface is back. And. Gail's back. Sydney's back. Dewey's back.
Speaker: Randy's back for a short time before he's killed off. And. I literally think. that the way they did it.
Speaker: Was. the right way. I mean... They have Sarah Michelle Gellar in this one. She gets killed off. And. With the way that they.
Speaker: Introduce. who the real killer is. Just work to perfection. And that's why I think. Some of these newer ones are missing. is that... They forgot how to...
Speaker: create that suspense enough. to where you're like, oh my god, I never thought that was a killer. Like the latest one. i figured out who the first killer was i was like i was like oh it's the mom But yet, at the same time.
Speaker: It was like, well, who's the accomplice? but with scream 2 you don't know who the killer is Like there's so many like red herrings of who it could be. Could it be the boyfriend again? Could it be her best friend? Could it be?
Speaker: you know Could it be Dewey? Could it be... Gale, could it be Cotton? And then. when it's revealed that it was the mom of Billy Loomis.
Speaker: And. another fellow classmate of Sydney's. Like. That was badass.
Speaker: Like who would have thought? that that would have worked. But it did. And Wes Craven again has. of the best track records of doing that.
Speaker: Now a decertified one. for a scream. And this is a personal one, but the latest one. They really tried to do the fucking...
Speaker: Halloween 2018 thing with the latest one. And that's what killed it for me is because it's like. Come on, Scream was different. When the very first movie came out, that was different.
Speaker: No one would have thought that you put... Drew Barrymore front and center on the poster. making her look like the star and she's killed off right away in the beginning of the movie
Speaker: And... Some of the latest screen movies just don't hit like they should. Now the ones with Jen Ortega. We're really good. I like them ones.
Speaker: But the latest one just... Yeah, I'm glad they brought back Nev. And then... Her daughter being named Tatum, I thought was pretty cool. But at the same time, it was like.
Speaker: you could kind of tell that. Stu wasn't coming back as the killer. And that. It was someone using him. as the MO.
Speaker: And all the people that were saying, Oh, Stu's back. Stu's back. Yeah. Yeah. Like. Stu died. I'm sorry, but there's no way in hell you're going to come back from getting your...
Speaker: fucking skull crush by a TV landing on you. and also electrocuted. And he also was stabbed how many times and was losing blood. But I digress.
Speaker: Another certified one? I have to go with... well, actually scrap that. Another decertified horror movie sequel.
Speaker: And that's. Fucking,
Speaker: Slumber Party Massacre 2.
Speaker: It literally did not work. In my opinion. I felt it was... Not as good as the original. And of course, having like. A fucking demon rocker.
Speaker: be the killer was Like, what the fuck? And literally he'd like. Break out in song. While he's trying to kill Luke. one of the victims in the movie and it's just like oh my fucking god and The guitar he uses has a drill on it.
Speaker: Yeah. Think about that for a second. A literal drill. on the fucking guitar
Speaker: And that's all there is about it. Now another certified one. And I really do think this one is going to be good. Evil Dead 2.
Speaker: Yes, it did. become more campy and more comedy. But I mean, it's Bruce Campbell. at his best as Ash Williams. now granted army of darkness is another certified one But... Evil Dead 2.
Speaker: Is so fucking good. So everyone, thanks. from the very beginning that it's ash going back to the cabin again with a new group of friends no it's just Part 1.
Speaker: The ending of part one. being the beginning of part two. And. retelling the story of what happened. with the very first movie.
Speaker: So... In this one, Ash is, you know... he gets possessed in the beginning and then when the sun comes up He turns back into good Ash.
Speaker: gets the hell out of there. Well, he hits a tree stump. Rockets himself out of the... I think it's what? Delta 88 Oldsmobile.
Speaker: It's an Oldsmobile. And.
Speaker: Heedler. Holy. hides in the cellar. From. The. Force. And.
Speaker: A new group of people come to the cabin. after he suffers a nervous breakdown. He shoots. One of them. She lives because she got shot in the shoulder.
Speaker: And the movie, you know. does so well with telling the story. That one, they made Army of Darkness. That was...
Speaker: another one that hit a home run. In my opinion. Bruce Campbell coming back. I think. And I haven't seen any of the new ones.
Speaker: I think the last Evil Dead one I've seen was Ash vs. Evil Dead. the show and i really thought that one should have gotten more seasons because they literally went back with him in time.
Speaker: Two. medieval time. I think. Or maybe it was futuristic. In the final episode. But...
Speaker: Evil Dead 2. on the certified list. A decertified? Bruce Campbell movie and I may get hate for this but Maniac Cop 3.
Speaker: Granted he isn't in the movie. but When you go from...
Speaker: Maniac Cop 1. and Maniac Cop 2. And then you lay a shit bomb with Maniac Cop 3. It's like... Thank God.
Speaker: They didn't make a fourth. Although... There was plans for a fourth movie. It's just they never came to fruition. Robert Zadar passed away.
Speaker: And, you know, I think It. Really? did a disservice to the maniac cop franchise. Because.
Speaker: With two, you had him. Literally. being told like, hey, Matt Cordell. We know that the politicians got you killed.
Speaker: you're being buried in full uniform with your badge and full medals and all that And then. he snaps out of wanting to kill Regular. decent people to some bad people and the best part is is the police station massacre N2.
Speaker: Now with three. They literally gave him a bride.
Speaker: And Voodoo brings back Matt Cordell.
Speaker: Why? They went that route. I don't know. But it just it literally didn't work For whatever reason, it just didn't work.
Speaker: And... Maybe it was because. by the second movie. They had literally exhausted everything. And he was no longer considered a mania cop. He was considered.
Speaker: you know exonerated for the crimes that he was put in sing sing for but When they did three. The bride of... And there was. That was such a stupid thing, and...
Speaker: Why they did it that way is so dumb. Yeah. Like, there's not much more to say about Mania Cop 3 other than... It just didn't work.
Speaker: They should have ended with the second one. And... That's my story and I'm sticking to it. but A certified movie.
Speaker: would be Phantasm 2.

Speaker: was batter. Now. It was what it was. but Reggie. being the consistent one and Mike too.

Speaker: Yeah. It's little shit. Daniel Harris comes back as Annie in this one. And. I think that's what made this movie so great.
Speaker: was they got Daniel Harris back and they got Brad Dorf. As Sheriff. bracket. and daniel harris says annie dies such a horrible death and halloween rob zombies halloween 2.
Speaker: That. It makes you feel really sad for Brackett. And then when he takes it out on Loomis, like, it... Loomis in... The remakes was such an asshole.
Speaker: And... Malcolm McDowell. Is such a good actor. Did such an amazing job with Loomis. It's just... By the second one, I think Rob Zombie was done.
Speaker: And if they would have gotten him to do a third one, I don't think it would have been as good.
Speaker: And Lori's real name being revealed in the. And that one was just horrible. But you know, Rob Zombie did what he could do best. And that's turned chicken shit and chicken salad.
Speaker: Although by the. by Rob Zombie's Halloween 2. There was no magic left. Like... There's a little bit of good in it.
Speaker: but other than that it's just Good. Michael walks around. mostly without his mask on. And it's just. Like why?
Speaker: And. You know, it just... The seeds that do work. Get undone. By the scenes I don't And it just it literally shit the bed where it shouldn't have.
Speaker: Now. Another. De -certified. Horror movie sequel is Jack Frost. Two. Somehow. They turn Jack Frost in the first one into... a killer that's literally created.
Speaker: By Snow. into a killer snowman.
Speaker: hand.
Speaker: by the sequel. Evidently a snowman is not afraid of antifreeze anymore. And. a human being is. And there's the little killer snowball babies.
Speaker: From Jack. And it's just... It's so stupid. Granted I get why they did it. but They even hint at a third movie.
Speaker: And it just it didn't work. At all.
Speaker: And I just. I don't. I would wonder who sat in that meeting and said, yeah, let's do a Jack Frost 2.
Speaker: Because. Whoever did that. Just literally. They must have watched the first one on like a total acid trip and was like, I'm going to go into a meeting tomorrow and be like, yeah, we're going to. We're going to say, yes, let's do this sequel.
Speaker: That's all it is. It's just a sequel. It's nothing that... gonna be ever looked at as, oh yeah, this is so good.
Speaker: And I'd be remiss to not. say that I wish it would have been a better movie because the first one was kind of good.
Speaker: And... I think it would have been. a much better movie had they literally come up with like a better story. Bye. you know that is the certified or denied horror movies sequel episode.
